The Fall Least Unexpected
Camp Wapiti was the most competitive summer-camp on the western border of the Allegheny Mountains, titular for the raving children’s testimonies by the end of the season. An influx of young campers had signed up this year to roost in forests of Red Spruce and Eastern Hemlock. The camp had reportedly gone through a series of expansion, including state-of-the-art “lodging enclaves” and an Olympic-sized swimming pool; at least according to the Wapiti parent Facebook Group. Rah-rah Elks!

A slew of bus rentals carries the kids to the gates of the 150-acre property, summer reveries already taking effect on everyone - from the bus drivers to the happy campers. The counselors had done a splendid job in garbing under the theme of Swan Lake, tinges of pastel pink and candlelight establishing the camp’s timbre; all awaited returning and new faces alike.

Once they reached, a horde of children spilled out from vehicles from all directions. The season had started.

“Welcome to Camp Wapiti our future outdoorsmen and adventurers! Plenty of secrets and fun await you this year - but first some rules…” bellowed Hailey Clifton, head counselor of the ensemble and youngest chick among the staff. The other counselors rolled their eyes during Hailey’s yearly pitch about showing a high level of care towards the surrounding wilderness and carrying the Happy Camper’s Guide to Nature: Dynamite Deciduous at all times. Many of the children began fidgeting, a crowd of creepy-crawlers wiggling underneath the heat vortex and swarm of mosquitos.

Finally, a cool breeze could be felt as Hailey finished off, invigorating everybody’s spirits once again. Campers and counselors drifted off into their own respective circles, reuniting with old friends and meeting new ones, breathing life and community into the grounds. Already burnt bodies sticky from chlorine and Sun-Bum were packed like sardine and people of all ages hollered from the tree-tops.

The first afternoon and night had been a success in every sense of the word. Residents were comatose within their cabins before 10 pm, in anticipation for a day at Lake Dimii in the morning. Somebody was dreaming of the unmarred lake and its magical properties according to the Iroquois, at any given moment during the night.

Come morning, camp was bustling with movement in every corner. Louie, an independent, fire-cracker 11-year-old from Brooklyn led a large pack of his well-rested peers to the lake. The other kids couldn’t help but look up to Louie, who was often disinterested in the bull of the others, but who was also the first person someone would ask for help in messing with the counselors or sneaking into the girl’s dorm at night. The children sang Wapiti’s jingle on their trek:

We are the happy herd of elks
Roaming through the fields with stealth!
On our crow’s nest seat,
We are the Camp Wapiti fleet!

The children’s chants could be heard reverberating through the wood, like a canyon wall is to singing birds. The menagerie cannonballed into the lake from all perimeters, the counselors struggling to keep up. But the day swelled with happiness as the surroundings looked effervescent within the sunlight, everything appeared to be cast underneath a yellow, sparkly film. After head-check, Hailey could finally record the potpourri of foreign flowers in her scrapbook.

Michel Barre and his two most loyal pals, Barnett and Sal, were camped away from the others, scoffing at the troupe of wildlings swimming in the waters. Michel, son of hot-shot French socialites, had moved to the North-East just two years ago, and still couldn’t wrap his mind around the hobbies and traditions of American kids his age; especially the dreaded capture the flag. The counselors had attempted to urge the three to join the others in the water, coaxing them with extra pie during dessert, but with no luck.

Traditionally, the first few days of camp were a hedonistic blur with no planned activities or events. Counselors encouraged to introduce themselves with one another and become comfortable with their bunk-mates especially. After a blistering day in the heat at Dimii, the whole lot was absolutely worn-out and immediately returned to their quarters following a hearty meal of chicken fried steak and apple pie fritters. Another day of sunshine and splashing around in the surf awaited everybody tomorrow, with a round of softball and soft serve afterwards. Even Michel felt a knot of excitement grow in his stomach.

Yet at half-past three in the morning, just two remained awake. As the moon’s image was reflected upon the lake’s surface while the others peacefully slept, Michel had been awoken and dragged by his feet out of his bed, across floorboards punctuated with nails, and out into the night. He was dragged for what seemed like hours. Across the gravel, dirt, and bushes, his skin was battered, and his limbs mangled. He contained no mental or physical capacity to identify who on God’s Earth was forcing him through his misery.

After a while, Michel could discern a certain atmospheric change - the air had felt more serene - what could only be Lake Dimii.

SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK “NO LIFEGUARD”

• Read a wasted sign, torn at its hinges.

“Please, I'm so sorry for whatever I did - please don’t-” Michel’s captor continued on to the edge of the lake and held him there, his face inundated like a trembling leaf caught in a storm. Michel didn’t know how to swim and tried to remember what his camping guide said about situations like this, but his mind went blank, and his lungs burned.

A passerby would be able to make out the two figures easily, even though the humid mist: One submerged and one forcing its grasp on the nape of the other’s neck, calmly watching. Michel was so incapacitated he wasn’t even aware that he was being forcibly held - he only regretted refusing to take swimming lessons as a child. And now his despairing amount of weakness against the dark waters was apparent. He thrashed about like a wild animal, a trail of bubbles circling his head. Gasps and sunken murmurs were the only sounds that could be heard on the lakeside at this hour.

And the other continued to watch, looking almost disinterested in the slump of his shoulders and the swaying of his feet. The moon still stubbornly shone, indiscriminate in its gleam, illuminating the other boy’s poor, sinking body. The scene was now still - a sharp contrast from a mere 8 hours ago.

The one on the bank turned to leave for the campgrounds, whistling a familiar tune.
The amount of time it takes to notice a person is missing is usually longer than one would think. In the case of Michel Barre, it took nearly 2 hours after the inhabitants of Wapiti rose. Barnett and Sal eventually realized that Michel was nowhere to be found and alerted Hailey before they were blamed for something they didn’t do. All campers were to report back to their bunks immediately for the rest of the day and stay there till instructed otherwise. A wave of confusion and frustration hit the camp – and rumors quickly spread like a nasty bout of lice.

According to the older kids, Barnett and Sal were messing around with Michel in the woods and left him there for inexplicable reasons. Others believed that Michel’s mega-loaded parents airlifted him out of the woods after just a few hours sleeping in the itchy twin sheets.

Meanwhile, in the counselor’s lodge, absolute pandemonium had settled alongside the cabin’s perpetual dust. These ‘designated adults’ were not adults at all, but hormonal, dewy-eyed teenagers who had been looking forward to an unsupervised summer. None of them were prepared for a situation like this.

“How on Earth will we ever explain this to Michel’s parents? The poor boy - he is probably wounded in the middle of the forest somewhere. Who knows, he could already be dead right now,” cried Hailey. The others stared at her blankly, not knowing what to say in response.

Javon Scott, who was only there for the massive paycheck that would hit his bank account at the end of the summer, couldn’t stop concentrating on Hailey's strawberry-blond curls. They smelled like apples.

“Hailey’s right, guys. Michel’s probably dead somewhere in a ditch. Shit, I can’t handle this right now, I need to smoke,” said Javon. He couldn’t keep his legs from bouncing, even with two hands on his thighs. Hailey let out a dry sob.

“You’ve been smoking too much Javon. The kid is probably fine, he couldn’t have made it that far into the woods,” chimed in someone from the back. A few other counselors murmured in agreement.

“We can’t bank on that. We have to tell Michel’s parents and call the authorities,” said Hailey. Javon aggressively nodded his head - the only one out of the bunch to agree.

“Like the cops? No way, I like this gig and my parents would murder me. Let’s all just split up and try to find him first,” said Bryce, one of the older counselors, a local town bum. There seemed to be a consensus already made at that point and all of Hailey's lamentations were paid any further attention.

The teens decided on rounding up the campers towards the center of the ground for the remainder of the day and to keep guard for God-knows-what, while the rest divvied up the surrounding woods in sections to search for the missing boy. Seemingly overnight, Camp Wapiti had transformed into a dire place – a canvas of frantic people and an obscure disappearance coloring the air.
Hailey had volunteered to scale the one of many huge rocks overlooking the eastern corner of the camp, a citadel over the surrounding area. Javon had offered to accompany Hailey, but everyone agreed it would be best if he stayed out at camp and watched over the fidgety kids. Javon grumbled about his role, because the last thing he wanted to do was spend the rest of the day with the snotty-sits, but he was sorely outnumbered. Besides, Hailey wanted to be alone.

The rock sat among the treetops, overlooking miles beyond the peripheries of the camp in each direction. It was a hot spot for late-night hookups, summertime dares, and sunrise viewings. Some of the graffiti that marked the base of the rock was almost two generations old.

It took a good 20 minutes for Hailey to reach the peak. Once she did, she was taken aback at the unstable illusion that was presented - the forest and vegetation seemed to have no end, swallowing all the land in its vastness. She shuddered to think where Michel could be within the thickets, as there was no way she could make out a 9-year-old from this vantage point. Her day had been spent in vain.

She plopped down at the edge of the overlook and began to burst into fitful tears. She couldn’t even begin to imagine how scared Michel was. Her stomach felt like a bowling ball. She decided that she would immediately contact the Allegheny preservative police and Michel’s parents before telling the others. She took in the horizon for a few months, ablaze in a deep mandarin, before heading back to Wapiti.

Except, someone had been watching her and her lovely head full of curls for a while now. It was a quite pleasant evening, and a single sight was more like a shout in the dead silence. And so, when Hailey could hear the heavy breathing of someone behind her, she chose not to stir.

“I know that’s you Javon. Look, I don’t have the time for this right now,” said Hailey, sniffling into her hands. Only silence followed and the breathing now ceased. Hailey looked over her shoulders and saw only rock. She felt as if she were becoming progressively crazier as the day went on.

Hailey turned back to stare at the view. And as she tumbled down the face of the cliff - from a single push or a gust of wind, no one would be able to tell - her last thoughts were of Michel’s ill-fated end instead of hers and how beautiful the sea of green looked when falling. Down, down she went, impaled upon the serrated end of a branch. Dark, gelatinous fluid sprayed from where she was impaled. She writhed in agony for thirty long minutes before her organs failed from the fatal amount of blood that was lost to the forest dirt.
By 10 pm, all of the inhabitants were united, and unlike this morning, there was a noticeable absence in the atmosphere. With the chief counselor nowhere to be found, the modus operandi of the camp had been altered. Campers were ordered to stay in their cabins and to not leave under any circumstances. Most of the counselors themselves hunkered in their bunks, too exhausted to search for yet another missing person or were a little paranoid themselves. Besides, Hailey probably bailed on the rest of them to avoid being complicit in anything that anything might have happened to Michel.

Still, a few agreed it was best to search the immediate vicinity at least once more, including Javon, who hadn’t felt this terrible since his parent’s divorce.

The crag wasn’t too far from the camp and so when five odd teenagers stumbled upon the grisly sight that was the remains of their fellow counselor – with what the forest scavengers had made of the relatively fresh carcass anyways - a wave of nausea and hysteria hit the group. Two immediately ran straight backwards towards the lodges, escaping into the night.

Javon stood within the fetid odor of the body, unable to take his eyes off the ravage in front of him. Tears silently raced down his cheek. The Allegheny Mountains had turned into an inescapable hellscape paradox.

The remaining counselors turned to wake and alert the others, concluding that the only possible explanation was that Hailey had tumbled from a rock. Javon contested this theory, adamant foul play was involved, but like always, he was ignored. Hailey’s body was left alone, and Camp Wapiti was bustling in panic for the second time that day, except everyone knew what had happened to Hailey. And now with the bus rentals back already less than 96 hours, followed by a parade of police forces, the warmth of the season had disappeared just as quickly it had come.

There simply weren’t enough buses available to transport the entire camp’s population in one batch, especially considering the time of night. The kids were priority and were bused off the premises as soon as possible, except for around two dozen. The police rounded everyone else - which included all the counselors – into the canteen, dead-center of the campsite.

By 6 AM, Javon had become sick of his environment and everyone in it. No one had been able to sleep the whole night except the police, who were used to sleeping in their patrol cars. A distinct tenor could be felt in the canteen, not a soul felt safe during those 9 dreadful hours.

Louie – the Brooklyn boy – entertained some of the other kids by reciting gruesome renditions of what could have happened to Michel and Hailey. The kids took morbid interest, looking over their shoulders for the monsters in Louie’s reenactments. A detailed sketch had been made of the killer. The kids described him as like the silent Northern Saw-Whet Owl, camouflaging within the dark envelope of the forest.

Javon snuck off into the sunrise to go smoke a joint in the hammock park behind the canteen, in plain view of the swarm of knocked-out cops. His nerves were in desperate need of soothing and he didn’t need to think twice about using the only medicine at hand.

The sunrise was dim and sullen, casting its gray halo throughout the sky. The hammock swayed slightly from the cool morning breeze and Javon was starting to get a little sick. Images of Hailey had been burned into his subconscious and he wondered how he would ever be able to sleep again. Well, not sober at least.

Javon could care less about the “owl” killer if he were staring at the end of its barrel, he just needed to forget about this place. This was the first time he had regretted not filling out college application forms, because now, he couldn’t escape this town even if he tried.

As he continued to ruminate in his limited prospects, he saw a shadow flit from the corner of his eye. He jolted awake from his existential morning thoughts.

It was a rather small shadow, one that emerged like a premature lightning strike. The figure disappeared into the woods – seemingly spawning from the direction of the cabins. Snuffing his joint, Javon waltzed in the shadow’s path, determined to not let the sly thing get away. The police were starting to stir. Javon dashed into the thicket’s cover.

While the figure had been in full sprint before, Javon had caught up to it within a couple of minutes. From behind a tree, looking onto an unobstructed clearing, there was the silhouette, his back facing Javon.

It was a boy. A shirtless boy. Quiet and unmoving. But Javon could easily recognize the person’s gait – strangely self-assured for just an 11-year-old. No doubt it was Louie, unruly, scraped and bruised, swaggering within late dawn’s mist. Javon observed quietly for a few moments, watching the boy sit in silence in the grass.

Louie knew someone was watching him. Besides, he had been on the other side – the one who was hunting the unsuspecting so many times that his instincts were deceivingly sharp. Louie turned his head around slowly, catching Javon’s direct line of vision and holding it. Javon froze under Louie’s blank expression towards him.

Slowly, Louie made his way towards Javon, carefully maintaining eye contact. Javon was almost in some sort of trance and had been. rendered immobile. Louie started to quicken his pace, opening his mouth to say something before Javon snapped out of his terrifying reverie.

Javon’s paranoia was through the roof, fueled by all that weed he consumed on an empty stomach. He ran towards the cabin for dear life to warn the others, convinced of Louie’s hand in evil. Something about Louie’s vacant eyes, devoid of emotion and almost-artificial like, sent Javon reeling for shelter from that empty expression. Even Hailey’s lifeless face exhibited more human-ness.

He finally had enough courage to look behind him when in view of the canteen, only to be met with a silent wood. Nevertheless, he continued to run, right outside to the main grounds, running right smack into the punchy gut of a cop.

“Do you think you can tell me what you are doing out here, hm,” asked the man in faded blue. Javon relayed his morning, leaving out extraneous details. But what he said fell upon empty ears and a boisterous laugh!

“Hmph, you kids sure aren’t meant to be out here as counselors. Clueless, all of you.”

But the police soon realized that Javon was telling the cold truth. Louie was thought to be on the busses, but the police received word that the boy was nowhere to be found in the vehicles. A small search-party was sent into the woods, but there wasn’t a single trace of an 11-year-old to be found. Only a lumbering 21-year-old, who took embarrassingly long strides.
Louie and his belongings had dematerialized along with warm winds of summer.

As the rest of the kids and counselors were sent away through a second round of buses, Javon looked longingly at the shrinking campgrounds from the back window.

I’m Star, and this is my story
The night I finally decided to tell my story I found true liberation. I had to come to terms that I had 3 out comes I had to be ok with. So following what advice I’d give someone else is either going to be the best thing, worst thing, or most insignificant thing I ever decide to do. I can’t use my past as a crutch or excuse to why I’m not living the life I dreamed of.
I guess I’m in for the worlds biggest reality check.
I had a typical life up until pre k. My family packed up our little trailer in Vacherie, Louisiana and nothing has been the same since. I went from growing up close with both sides of my parents family to almost complete isolation.
My dad was in search to lead his family and give us the best life he could possibly provide. With that honest sentiment he found a group of people that became our new family - and for the majority of my life our only family. Family birthdays slowly turned into fellowships. Summer vacation became going to church in different parts of California. Every Thanksgiving was in the sister church in Texas. The majority of our travel time was going to church to which we already went to 3 times a week. We didn’t celebrate any holidays, I couldn’t participate in team sports at school, go to dances, prom, sleepovers with school friends, wear certain clothing, watch certain movies and tv shows, you know, the typical religious restrictions people may encounter. However, this went deeper.
I grew up in a religious cult. Now that I’m way on the other side of that life, I can finally admit it and not feel guilty. I befriended many people I still have fond memories of. I stayed in contact with a few others that have left. There were good people there and some probably still are. These are people I shared decades of my life with. I used to feel some need to protect them from my truth and what I really thought and felt sitting in those pews. I still have my struggles with this.
I remember many significant events. The founder of the church getting shot was the biggest. We all gathered at the church and got on our knees and prayed. Everyone. It didn’t matter your age. I was primary school aged getting on my knees and calling to Jesus. I mimicked what I saw. This ritual only happened when a major event threatened the church or if someone high up in status was on the brink of death or needed extra prayer. I can only recall 3 times I experienced this first hand. Another memorable event was when the leaders went on CBS to defend the churches from allegations of ‘selling tickets to heaven.’ After all, my entire life we were taught that they were the one and only true followers of Christ and the only people making it to what was called a third heaven.
I submitted as much as a child could to what I learned in the church until puberty. As a preachers daughter, I was always expected to act and carry myself in a certain way. I didn’t feel that lifestyle was how I wanted to spend my one chance at life. School was my salvation from home and church. It was the only time I could be me although I was always a diluted version. I made friends, but of course I could never cultivate those friendships outside of school. There was only so many ‘no’s’ to attending sleepovers, parties and doing activities with the friends I chose for myself that a child could take. I started to secretly reject what had become a huge chunk of my life.
There were so many unspoken rules you knew to follow. No piercings, no tattoos, no loud colored haifingernails, no consumption of alcohol, you couldn’t consume worldly music or media, if you saw someone that left it was an unspoken rule not to engage with them and rampent homophobia; which I discovered was typical with similar religious practices and/or followed the King James Version of the bible.
But wait, there’s more!
You couldn’t show your shoulders, wear heels over a certain height, skirts and dresses had to be a certain length. I wore shorts in secret or only at my home. You could only marry and date within the church. If you found someone not in the church you like, you had to bring them in or the relationship would be frowned upon. You had to get married there, do your marriage counseling with the ministry, your dress had to cover your shoulders, your bridal party was your selection out of the sisters and brothers and your reception was in the dining hall at the church. Women couldn’t sit on the first pew at church or wear pants. At the time Facebook was the only allowed social media but your posts were watched. I found myself ‘in the office’ many times towards the end of my time there because of social media. If you wanted to make big purchases you had to have an audience with the ministry first. It was a tight knit community. It was a self sufficient community. It was a community that other people have told their stories about and we were told they were just people taking revenge on the church. The family had to stick together and draw others into the church to save more people so they had a chance for eternal life. There were accusations that many women were forced to get abortions to remain part of the ‘body of Christ’ they told us these allegations were lies. When you’ve been taught and controlled your whole life to eat whatever they feed you, you are obeditent and don’t ask questions. Plus why would my story change anything? Others before me spoke out. Some were silenced, some stories were buried and with that I just kept quiet. I have so many accounts about this church that I need to let go of. A religious relationship with life may work for some and that should be respected; personally it didn’t resonate with the person I want to be. I don’t want to sensationalize this piece of my life it is what it is; it was what it was. I don’t want to leave a door open for my past to feel welcome to my present. To this day I still have nightmares about my family and I being stuck there or going back voluntarily.
I wasn’t allowed to just leave the church and stop coming. How would that look if a preacher couldn’t control his own daugther? The mixture of teenage angst, middle child syndrome, and bipolar depression came together to create the perfect storm -but- in this storm Star was born. The only control I had over my life was through writing. As a teen I rarely left my room. It was me, my guitar, books, music and the magic of movies that kept me as sane as someone in my situation could be. Star became her own entity. She was my salvation in separating my reailty to a dream world so Theresa could survive. Every now and then she had to take over. If I couldn’t leave, I had to find a way out by more drastic measures. It started with pretending to be sick every now and then or purposely waiting to do my homework during church services so I could sit in a back room instead of pretending to take notes and be engaged in the services. This wasn’t enough for me long term so I had to up the ante. I fell into a cycle of self harm. I remember one damn near successful suicide attempt. When I was in the hospital only the ministry was allowed to see me. They told me when I got out the hospital, they would call me into the office to talk about why I did what I did. I never felt such dread and I wished I was dead in that moment. I saw the way it broke my mothers heart to see me in that position. I never attempted suicide again no matter how much I felt I wanted to escape my life. I spent about 2 weeks in a behavioral facility and to be honest, I never felt more free at the time. Unfortunately, back to church I still had to go. I came up with a plan that would change my trajectory permanently. I had to get myself kicked out of the church.
In the world of alternative modeling I found a community that became my new universe and my ticket to freedom. It’s because of this community I can even tell my story. I began posting risqué photos and I went all in with nude modeling. When this was discovered, I got called into the office one last time. I remember being asked if that the type of content I made me feel good about myself and that question made to feel so small. It felt like my own David and Goliath story when I spoke up and said, “yes, it does.” I believe this was the first time I ever didn’t let my fear decide my fate. I wanted to do what I wanted, how I wanted and when I want to do it. I didn’t want to care what anyone thought of me. I didn’t want to follow a lifestyle that sucked the life out of me. It’s this mindset that took years to come to its peak to practice what I preach. Little me always wanted to sing and put on a show. She wanted to make music. She wanted to create movies. She wanted to make people laugh and smile. She wanted to voice characters on her favorite tv shows. She wanted to explore and experience everything life had to offer even if she was always taught the world has nothing and it would just eat you up and spit you out. But I would choose to be digested by the world over and over again before I waste my time bound to the expectations of others. If I knew then what I know now, I would tell myself go be that theater kid, go audition for movies follow your true passions instead of making choices out of necessity to have a typical life. I often wonder who I would’ve been if I lived a different life. A normal life.
Now here I am ready to, for once, truly try doing what my inner child always dreamed of. I have so many songs that need to find a home and I’m doing that by following the only formula I know- bearing my soul and putting myself out there. I’m currently working on updating old lyrics and creating new songs so I can contact people to collaborate with. I’ve never been one for reality, so of course I have to do this my way. It’s time to stop telling myself that it’s too late and coming up with excuses to avoid the inevitably of failure. I was stuck in the societal mindset that you had to achieve everything in your 20s. There’s already failure in not trying. Of course I have no clue where or how to start with my limited experience and resources. I was gonna be that crazy person to walk in any and every record company and have them read my songs. Of course the industry doesn’t work that way, and why would it for me? I’m nothing special. Every artist feels their work will touch someone out there. Maybe nothing will come from this, maybe I’ll get to work with local artists or maybe my works will just find success in being posted here for few to read.
Since writing my initial story, I have yet again evolved. If I was going to go down this road I had to do things the right way and build a strong foundation from scratch. While learning how to navigate the unknown I found someone who elevated my mindset. The world connected me with vocal coach, Jeanetta, who turned my world upside down in the best way. I went from discovering I’ve been singing wrong my whole life to being able to write essays on how much I learned about proper singing techniques and from only wanting to write for others to constructing my own projects and concepts. She’s been my mentor in helping me unlock parts of me that I didn’t know were there and parts of me I’ve forgotten existed. I’ve been down a rabbit hole of crafting my sound and uncovering my voice. I could go off on a tangent about the excitement this journey has brought to me. I’ve made a few demos and dived in head first networking with whoever wants to share their knowledge with me. I had to realize nothing about my path is “normal” and I need to stop dimming myself to blend in common spaces. I’m never going to know normalcy. I can only find people who share a similar vision and will accept me as I am. I’m just going to keep going until I find them or they find me. Either way- I’m going to find out if it’s possible to fly with clipped wings.

When I was a lil fry, I grew up with my parents having fish tanks but never really had my own and always wanted one like the giant 175 gallon tank my dad built. Once I finally got my own house about... ten years ago?? I started this hobby with a 10 gallon tank, put all different kinds of fish from Bala sharks to crawdads and Mubana cichlids....horrible combo I know....and learned fast what not to put together. So I expanded my love for fish and added a 55 gallon tank....it still didnt work for all the fishies and learned I need to keep certain kinds with others.... Also that hang over baskets weren't enough for 55s but big canister filters were the best find of my life. My love for fish encouraged me to expand. I bought two more 55 gallon tanks aaaaand it still wasn't enough. After countless hours of fish tank cleanings, learning cichlids needed more room, I wanted bigger!! A 75 gallon tank it was!!! Along with all the other tanks I was slowly building a collection. At one point my garage had a wall to wall of 55 gallon fish tanks. At the end it had a horseshoe pattern of tanks where you could sit down and be surrounded by fish.
By now I had so many tanks, but not what I really wanted...a 125 gallon. I spent days and nights scouring through facebook marketplace and craigslist hoping to find an affordable huge fish tank... Yes you guessed it!! I found a 125 in town and grabbed it as soon as I could. Yes it was used but so were most of my fish tanks. This gigantic tank was a huge eye opener on what I could build and become. I created a beautiful little community of tetras, plattys and mollys. Learned how much they mass produce and how to use breeding baskets. Next thing I know its been 3 years into the hobby and something super unexpected happened!! My Dad gave me the 175 gallon fish tank he built when I was a kid!! I immediately found a few friends to volunteer to help load this behemoth on the trailer and get it to my home. We Finally got it home however it was in rough shape from sitting in the old house for 2 years..... I had to teach myself how to reseal fish tanks, rebuild the tank stand and refurbish wood to look new. Two weeks later and alot of elbow grease we turned this 20 year old tank into a brand new looking 175 gallon tank....we even found a singing bass to go where the old one used to be.
Few years later I had grown a small reputation as the fish guy and accumulated 20+ fish tanks from 10 to 175 gallon tanks. Thanks to building that reputation people had started to give me fish tank after fish tank with fish after fish. I needed somewhere to put them and in order to do that I needed to build a shelf or rack of shelves. Our local lumber yard business always drops off giant pallets that can hold lots of weight. With a little bit of cutting, hauling away and building, we made a giant fish tank stand. Its made to hold from top to bottom, six 10 gallons, six 10 gallon, five 20 gallons and five 20 gallons. All made to hold rescued/donated fish and running off 10+ donated bubblers; a crazy air line system I jimmy rigged. next thing I know I'm getting calls or messages left and right to come rescue fish from people who can no longer care for the fish. those tanks were filled with fish faster than I expected, some even being potential monster fish I thought would fit in 175....they wouldn't.
I had to expand even more..... I ended up moving all of the fish tanks into my spare bedroom and officially becoming the fish room!! Doing this gave me a whole garage to work with and let me tell you, I put it to work immediately!!! I found a 10ft x 7ft x 28in kids above ground pool(1000 gallons) that me and a few volunteers set up into the garage and filled with water!! I used a few of those YouTube Videos on how to build your own canister filtration and we went to work. Built a 55gallon drum canister filter that does 10,000 gallons per hour keeping the pool crystal clear with gravel, filter pads and clarifying pads. Before I could even get the pool fully up n running, people were already donating monsters!! At one point I had redtails, arowanna, pacu, iridescent shark, shovelnose catfish n more all in this 1000gallon pool!! Sadly over time the pool rotted and started getting pinhole leaks throughout the pool. I needed to find a way to fix this...I tried to line the pool with flex seal and the seam. However I was impatient, due to the monsters freaking out in 55 gallon totes with bubblers that weren't big enough. I filled the pool up to early and the flex seal never cured in time....causing us to lose most of our monsters....Good news though! I was donated 1000 gallon stock pool to house the remainder monsters.
7 years into this hobby it had really turned more into a career. I got so busy that I started going out of town to Lake Havasu, Laughlin and even Vegas! Eventually I needed to find a way to pay for all these fish besides working an every day job. One day I just couldn't do it anymore.... I left my job and committed to fish tank cleaning professionally!! It has slowly picked up and started to pay for the expenses of my fish and get the bills paid. I am still cleaning tanks to this day and rescuing fish. I can't do this alone and I need your help finding all these rescues new homes. I hope to one day turn this to a non-profit and build a facility for all these fish. Tank you for spending the time reading this.

My neighbour is a passport bro, he married a woman from the Philippines.
I’ve only lived in this house for a year, but the minute I moved in there was trouble.
I’m single, I live alone, no pets, no children, no boyfriend. I met my neighbours and I had a really bad feeling about them but shrugged it off because it was a man, wife, 3 kids, dog and cat and they seemed alright despite the creepy and kinda sick feeling I got from them, I was thinking that they’re harmless, this is just a family next door, not some creepy single guy serial killer.
This has turned into a complete nightmare, the husband started making advances on me while his wife ( from from Phillipines) was at work ( she works nights). It wasn’t just casual flirting either, it was creepy stalking behaviour like watching my schedule and cornering me outside at 5:30 am to talk to me, waiting at my parking spot after work pretending to work on his vehicle and then cornering me again to talk, then I noticed him watching me out his windows, then he wouldn’t let me go outside without coming outside as well and following me around, even if I was just taking the trash out, then he started following me in his vehicle, then leaving flowers on my step. I finally had enough and told him I’m uncomfortable, leave me alone and if he doesn’t I’m going to tell his wife.
He didn’t stop, instead he got angry, screamed in my face, started tailgating me in his vehicle, throwing garbage on my lawn, coming into yard, walking behind me and singing loudly ( because I told him not to talk to me anymore). I finally did tell his wife and nothing changed. She just said she didn’t believe me and he said I was lying.
I’ve had to call the police 3 times, I spent half the day getting restraining order this week on Monday. I had to call the police on Mother’s Day, because instead of being inside with his wife celebrating, he was outside stalking me and blatantly throwing more garbage in my yard trying to antagonize me into a reaction so I pay some kind of attention to him and validate his existence ( I did not react or even look at him). The police came and said this is his final warning and next step is charges of criminal harassment.
I looked at the wife’s Facebook( I had never looked before) and I saw pictures of her when she first met him, they met online and she was absolutely beautiful, young, full of life, there were pictures of her at the beach with beautiful smile, blowing hair, bright eyes. He went there, married her and brought her back here.
Now they live in poverty because he’s unemployed, she’s working nights, she doesn’t drive because he’s so controlling- he picks her up from work and drops her off, he does all the grocery shopping and she never leaves the house to go anywhere for walks or anywhere he doesn’t drive her. She’s gained a ton of weight, looks downtrodden, no more beautiful smile full of life, she has 3 kids that I hear him screaming at everyday at the top of his lungs.
He’s obviously become bored of her now that she’s older, completely under his control, gained weight and is probably depressed. He’s completely fixated on me and stalking to the point he’s about to be arrested and she spent Mother’s Day with the police showing up because her husband can’t stop stalking the woman next door, then afterwards he dropped her off at work for her night shift. Good times for her….
Ladies please be careful of these passport bros or this can become your fate. It’ll be hard for her to leave him because this is a high cost of living, she doesn’t drive, has 3 kids.
I feel bad for her after seeing pictures of the young, beautiful, vibrant woman at the beach smiling- to seeing her now living in a shithole house, with a deadbeat abusive husband pursuing other women right in front of her while she’s working all night to support the family and this loser. He’s used her for everything he could possibly take, taken everything from her and now he’s after other women, and he knows she can’t do anything about it because he’s doing it right in front of her face with the woman next door, it’s sickening.

I know I’m hardly the first to lose their account but I’m genieunly so lost on what to do. I know I should contact BBB but I don’t even know my friend code or even remember what counted as my account path
I would always select “log in with Game Center” before it would say “Game Center not set up” because I never did (possibly a bad move) and then I would select play, I don’t think it was a guest account since I believe I specifically avoided doing that (this is not the first time I’ve lost my save file) and because my accounts been around for YEARS. I have so much on that account then I could have sworn a thousand times over was safe from weird file wipes. I don’t have a Facebook and I don’t think it was email connected.

I was scrolling through UNIS GLOBAL in Facebook and came across this post:

And this post made me realize something. Their What is Love performance was sort of the amalgamation of their constant hardwork (in a sense). This performance showed the following:

1. Gehlee's dancing improved significantly. She's always been more of a smooth dancer, shining especially on more slower tracks like Beautiful back in UT. But on more faster tracks she seems to always struggle or at the very least have a hard time, her moves often times looks stiff, which is not a good compliment to her usual smooth dancing. So often times, she ends up looking sloppy, but in this performance we can clearly see that she improved her dancing ability to faster tracks. And maybe this is just out of pure love from TWICE, but her expression the entire performance is just a massive improvement from her usual somewhat awkward smile, she looks genuinely elated throughout the performance and her expression showed it. It gave of this starry-eyed, curious teen impression, which is necessary in performing a TWICE song like What is Love.
   
2. Kotoko's promising vocals. One of the main criticism about Kotoko back in UT days was that she's very weak vocally, and I used to agree to that (looking at it constructively, of course). But her “I'm gOoOoOoOoOd” part in SUPEREWOMAN, showed massive promise. No offense, but I think that the J-Line along with Gehlee are the most handful members to be distributed a line to, not because they're bad vocalist, but rather because of they're unique vocal quality. In the sense that if you put them in specific parts of a song, it sounds extremely good and invokes the necessary feeling, but at the same time, putting them in other specific parts could feel out of place. The way I could describe those three is that: Nana's voice is breathy, perfect for conveying emotion and should be preferably used in more lower register, best example is Dream of Girls. Gehlee's voice is low registered, best utilized for highlighting low register killing parts and being second or last chorus like in Dopamine to switch things up and make their songs sonically dynamic. And lastly, Kotoko's voice is more on the high pitch side, should preferably be used in stylish parts like a falsetto with preferably Elisia adlibbing (more on this later) and also probably the rap parts too, because her rapping tone is a good contrast to Yoona's rapping. Sorry for the long unrelated yapping, but overall, I think that they're doing a good job improving Kotoko's unique voice and it shows in this performance.
   
3. And lastly Elisia's ad-libbing. My personal favourite UT performance is Beautiful, because of the absolute god-sent of a performance that was, vocally. And a huge reason to that, is because of Elisa's ad-libs, her ad-libs adds that necessary emotional and vocal depth. And even way back in her Red Flavor performance, she was already trying to adlib although she was discouraged to do so. The biggest reason on why I think Elisia is arguably one of the best vocalist in 5th gen is because of her ability to impact and add to a song, regardless of whether is sing or being a back up vocal. And although it is subtle, I think this performance is a great practice for her to expand her vocal abilities by essentially playing backseat and still adding something to the song (although I do hope that they start giving her more lines in their CB).
   

Overall, there was a lot, and I mean A LOT of things wrong with the performance but we can't just ignore that positives and undeservedly write the performance off. I, for one, am also immensely disappointed in the distribution of this performance and their album but we can only hope that FNF will listen to our pleas and distribute the lines to the girls more fairly, but in the mean time, let's just focus on the goods and not let the negatives affects us too much.

GPT-4o was announced a few hours ago by OpenAI, and although the announcement livestream is great, the real gold nuggets are in the 22 demo videos they posted on their channel.
I watched all of them, and here are the key takeaways and use cases we all should know. 👍🏻

This single feature alone has incredibly many use-cases!

I am neha ( 26 f ) , I am here to vent and get some suggestions or maybe even a real friend . This is a story of how I ruined my love life and destroyed the man who meant everything to me . We grew up in Coimbatore , i first met my boyfriend when I was in 11th grade , I actually saw him in a video , it was a Facebook video made by his friends , one of his friend proposed a girl , so they made a video of it , he was there in it too . He is tall , above 6ft , he looked ok , normal , a bit weird too with his specs and curl hair . He didn’t stand out , after few days I saw in a local chat place , he was with his friend , all sweaty , they came from gym . I recognised him immediately though. I saw him sneakily , idk why , after going home I sent him a request to his Insta . We started talking the same night , he said he saw me too , we connected way too fast , he was very funny and practical, we became best friends very soon , we almost spoke daily , in that following year we became so close, there wasn’t anything sexual , we just talk about our day and our lives daily , then he got into a relationship with a girl , I liked her too , life was so easy and fun back then , after we got into college , I Started to date a guy in my college , but we didn’t stop talking , nothing changed between us , after going to college we started getting drunk and smoking up , it was all new and we all did it almost everyday in first year , it was pretty fun . The guy I was with that time , didn’t really smoke up that much , he got drunk but he didn’t smoke pot that much , but the rest of us gathered everyday to smoke pot and play carrom . We both even meet at night to just smoke up and listen to music . At the end of the first year , one day he called me one evening and told me that he wanted to meet me , he sounded very low , I was with my my boyfriend and his friends that time but I left there immediately,booked an auto and Met him at a usual place near an IT park , we drink coffee and smoke cigarettes there usually.he was already there when I went in , he saw me and smiled but that looked very sad , he told me that his girlfriend kissed someone , a distant cousin of her actually , she kissed him in a moment and texted her girlfriend about it , she mentioned that she regrets it very much , I can’t stand it , I don’t know what to do , I feel nauseous, stuff like that . He showed the screenshots , he didn’t talk much he just smiled but that killed me . I was so angry on her , I didn’t even know what to do to make him feel better at that moment, I said she is not worth it , don’t worry , things like that . But I loved it , after sometime we separated, he saw me smiled and said I tasted sweet and bitter with weed taste . I’m a really friendly woman (29F), I want to start off by saying. I go up to bat for any of my people who need it, I don’t sense jealousy/envy over my friends, I place value in my friendships and making new ones but I had two experiences on Instagram (that started off in person) that have me questioning if I’M the one with the issue.
First instance in question: a girl (26F) who is dating my new coworker. We’ve hung out several times in large group settings (a social work setting, but I think it’s important to note here that I work for a locally owned company and our social gatherings involve a good bit of drinking and more “friendly” vibes than “professional” ones), and I thought she and I got along really well and hit it off. My fiance and my coworker also hit it off, so it seemed like the four of us could really be friends outside of a work context. Last time we were all together, we were talking about getting together one weekend and doing something. Anyway, that lead to me following her on Instagram and she followed back.
This weekend she posted a video of my boss pretty drunk, dancing and just having a good time (boss/coworketheir girlfriends were hanging out, they went to a small concert and it looked like they were at a restaurant getting food post-concert when she took the video) I swiped up on her story and cracked a joke, I was like “oh no, he’s still vibing from the show yall went to 😅 did yall have a good time??” And she read it immediately, but never responded. Normally I don’t think twice when people leave me on read, I like to respond to people’s stories when I find something funny or interesting or something along those lines. I don’t expect responses but I just found it strange that she would take the effort to follow me back, after agreeing that it’d be cool to hangout sometime, and then leave me hanging when I try to start a convo and put some effort forward?
Next situation that happened this weekend REALLY has me scratching my head. Like to the point that I’m slightly annoyed about it. I’ve been going to the same guy for my nails for about a year now. We’ve built a great friendship and last week, he was showing me a video of his family singing karaoke. I immediately noticed one of the girls in the video (35F), as she has a distinct hair color, and we go to the same gym. She used to be a customer at my old job so we’d get to talk sometimes. We also have seen each other in the past at an old gym we both attended, and she used to be my favorite waitress at one of my regular spots when she worked there, seriously a cool chick. So I pointed out “is that so and so?” And he goes “yeah!! You know her??” And I told him not really, I don’t know her personally, but we’ve talked before and years ago when she worked at that restaurant I loved her company. I even said “she probably wouldn’t remember me”. So he whips out his phone, takes a picture of me, and sends it to her saying “amakins674 says hi!!” Went on with my day and thought nothing of it.
Yesterday when I was walking into the gym she yelled my name before I got in the door. I turn around and excitedly greeted her! She was leaving and getting in her car, but when she saw me she left her door open to come and talk to me. She told me about the picture my nail tech sent, and I went into briefly explaining where I remember her from. From there we had a 15-20 min conversation in the parking lot, and I got nothing but good vibes from her. She even complimented my shape, told me how great I look, was telling me how much easier I have it in the gym than someone skinny like her who has a base of 80 lbs and has to struggle to put on weight. (Kinda weird but I just equated it to typical gym talk) once we wrapped up our chat, she GIVES ME A HUG, asks me about social media and tells me to add her. I told her I don’t have Facebook but I will certainly follow her on Instagram, and she went “great!! We’re totally friends now!!!” A wonderful interaction… or so I thought.
I get home from the gym, send a follow her way, (her profile is mostly fitness content and I could tell it was with intent of building a following) and commented on one of her funny, lighthearted posts with “😂 you’re great!! It was awesome to meet you today!” This was yesterday. And since, she never followed back, never responded to the comment I left her, and she also posted a video since, about a lot of the topics we talked about in the parking lot (the skinny to fit journey vs the heavier to fit journey) and idk I just feel weird about it. I feel like she did all that just to get a follow out of me — but SHES the one who hugged me, she’s the one who said “we’re friends now!” (I mean I agreed of course because the conversation was great and I remembered her being great from my past), and SHE asked me about social media??? I’m just so confused lol.
I know I’m overthinking this but it’s situations like those from this weekend that make me think maybe I’m rubbing people the wrong way? Or they pretend to like me but genuinely don’t?? I don’t know. I feel crazy even admitting that this stuff bothers me. Can anyone relate, is it just a social media thing?? Should I bother following up with either of these ladies, or should I just leave it where it is?
TLDR: I had two separate instances of positive interactions with women in person, and tried to follow-up with friendly banter on social media, and they both left me hanging in weird ways. Leaving me to wonder if I am the one that’s somehow rubbing them the wrong way or if there’s something about me that I’m not quite catching on to. Now I’m left here wondering if I should continue to try to make friends with them, or if I should just leave it where they left it at.

My Experience It was January 10, 2011. I’ll never forget that date. It was the day my life changed. Also it was the day of the college football national championship. I was and still am a big college football fan (Go Cal Bears!). Oregon was set to play auburn and i was going to watch it with my neighbor two doors down. I had been doing poorly in school, and yeah was a big pot head, still am, but am much more responsible. Anyways i told myself this semester i was going to actually try in school. I woke up at six am to get ready for my day, something that i never do. I went to put on my shoes and i noticed the laces were missing. Immediately i went to my mom and asked where are my laces? She wouldn’t give me an answer and was just acting so strange. Eventually she left the house and as she was leaving two men were walking up our walkway. I figured they were plumbers considering we had plumbing issues recently. They walked in and before I knew it they walked up to me on either side and slammed me to the ground and handcuffed me. I didn’t react as it was, I didn’t expect it for one, and for two when it began I froze, I didn’t know what to do. Once on the ground I started to squirm, I screamed “Please Help me help me I’m being kidnapped! Please!” They responded No use in screaming no one can hear you. I kept screaming. One of them said go ahead get it over with when your quiet it’ll be over sooner. After probably about ten minutes, I realized no use in fighting, they helped me up and walked me to a small suv and put me in the back and put the seat belt on me. This was the beginning. I remember on the way up to Yoncalla Oregon from Sacramento California we stopped at a burger king. They offered to get me some but food was the last thing on my mind. Looking back I wish I had taken up the offer. I remember being by the ashtray seeing a half smoked cigarette and asking to smoke it, they said I couldn’t. After a long drive we got there they walked me in. The whole way I talked about how I’d get away and run away. Well of course they told the staff at Scott Valley. By the way this is the perfect point to say I was sent to Scott Valley School in Yoncalla, Oregon. One of the many so called trouble teen schools. So being told I had threatened to run away I was put on runaway watch. For about two weeks I was forced to sleep under a light. I obviously didn’t get much sleep. Also I always had two higher phase watchers who would stand on each side of me. They had phases there was like five or six I believe. Most were 2 and 1. There were like 3 phase 3’s and 1 phase 5. There was like 20-30 of us at a time. Anyway where do I start. As I write this, with the emotions and ptsd it comes in full force and yet hazy at the same time. Maybe my head trying to protect me? So I was there seven months, thank god thats it. There were people that had been there years. Some of the people there, my god, I don’t know what to say. From a 12 year old who molested his 1 year old brother and put fish hooks in his carpet so his parents would step on it, to kids that were in there later teens who had used hard drugs, kids that had been molested and acted out as a result, kids that just were wilding out period, a lot of different walks. After I got off of runaway watch I got back on it within two weeks. I was in trouble sitting at the essay table while pe was going on. So one of the punishments was writing essays. But anyway there were two other kids at the table, the twelve year old i mentioned above and the only black kid there on the boys side. I looked at them and said if we worked together we could escape this place. They both just dead stared at me. When it was time to line up, the 12 year old went away first, the other kid looked at me and said were gonna get in trouble, that kid is a snitch and is going to tell on you. He was right. I got put on the “wall” because of that. For two weeks when not eating, sleeping, or using the bathroom, I was staring at a wall were a dot was drawn with a piece of paper on it. I would just let my imagination run wild while this happened thinking about home, friends, family, make believe countries governments politics, anything to keep the mind entertained or semi at peace! There was a green jacket my parents sent up for me that was my grandpa on my mothers side. Grandpa Applegate. It was a super cool green jacket with fake fure on the color, it looked like something you’d wear in the winter in Moscow. They said it had too many pockets and I could hide things in it. So they took it away. They put it in the Pod where all of our extra stuff was stored. Well one pod day where we could exchange stuff, there was a different staff member on duty then the one who said I couldn’t wear it. So i got it out and he didn’t know so i got to wear it for a bit. So when the other staff member got back on shift, he saw the jacket. I was banned from wearing a sweatshirt of any kind for a month. When we had outside pe everyday in Febuary to March I would get so cold. When I would put my hands in my shirt I would get another essay. This is Central Oregon, it gets cold that time of year! So some facts about the living situation, you had three minutes for showers and bathroom. You go over that you get an essay. You get more time the higher phase you get. You ever take a shit in three minutes? If done successfully I commend you. I would go five days without shitting because one of the night workers a guy named Johnny would not keep track of time when I’d get up to ask the restroom in the early morning. Johnny was an angel in a sense. Taking an uninterrupted shit was some of the most bliss I could get. Not trying to be gross but when using the restroom even was so restricted, being able to use the restroom not timed felt like hitting the lotto. When we’d wake up at seven am we only had 1 min to get up and make our bed, timed, if we didn’t make it wed get an essay. I’m naming these things as I remember different events, not necessarily in chronological order, but different events that happened. I had a peach fuzz mustache i was so proud of and long curly hair. They gave me a buzz cut and forced me to shave. My dad sent my grandpa Andrews old electric razor. That’s my dads dad. My biggest hero in my life. His name I got tatted on me at 19. I write this at 29. He died when I was 9. Most of the other kids had razors you could charge, mine needed to be plugged in to work, I didn’t understand that. I had never shaved to begin with, so I thought it was broken. I threw it away and put in a request for a new one. My father told them it was a plug in, but it was already to late so he needed to order me a new one. At a group therapy session thing, yeah we did that every day, and none of the people working there had any degrees that could go to the field they were working in. Anyway my writing is not perfect so as I was saying, at a group therapy thing, Jad one of the main guys working there brought up the razor, he said I knew it wasn’t broken, but I just wanted a new one. You don’t love your grandpa youre just a selfish little bitch. Those words still are ingrained in my mind. I know they are false but god damn they hurt. I cried. As I cried he just continued to tell me how selfish I am and im a bitch a pussy etc. William Frederick Andrews was my grandfathers name, as said I got it tatted on me at 19. He was born 1924, in 2024, my first child, a son, was born, William Frederick Andrews II. I call that a moral victory. Crazy how it worked out to be a 100 year difference. Another time it was 420, I cried because I wanted to smoke and he called me out on it in group therapy. He called me a bitch, a pussy, the usual. Weird things happened there, like one time they did a “fire drill” in the middle of the night, we had to go out into the cold in our underwear for five minutes until it was over. There were girls there but they were in a separate area. When they walked by or vice versa we had to look the other way. One of the many reasons it got shut down is there was a case of a student raping another. Apparently the girl who reported it got hounded in group therapy to the point she recanted. Now I could be wrong, but I think I know the person who did it, only one guy from the male side reached level five to the point where he became staff and could go to the girl side for group therapy. I don’t know for sure but that’s what i assume. At one point they were building a new building and they had us digging the ground around it for construction. Yeah they had us do all the cleaning indoors and out doors. If you were bad you could have your school privileges taken away. I had one kid who was a phase above me copy my work. He got caught. He got demoted, and got repromoted before I left. I never got past phase 1. So phase 1 red shirt. Phase 2 green shirt. Phase 3 Blue shirt. Phase 4 and above whatever you want. Like I said a lot of this is not in order. I am writing this in one go after years of talking about it to my loved ones. Put my thoughts to the pen, or keyboard in this case. So they did this thing were it was like a week, where it was the program or some weird name. They would break you down and “build you up” you would get a demeaning name for a week and then get an empowering name. I got the picture that if you were just a weed smoking low grade getting teen, you wouldn’t be ever seen as getting progress, you had to have “admitting to a bad act” of some sort. I made a story about how I let a girl cut me and drink my blood and how I thought about killing my dad. I know, like why would one lie and say that?!, well I figured if I had said I had done that and then shown to be turned good, it would reward me as changed and out that place. Looking back im like what the fuck. But I just wanted out and I was sure as hell willing to lie my way out. So yeah i went by like blood sucker or something like that for a week, but thats not bad. I remember so well one girl who was adopted and had relations with several boys back where she was from, she got sent there for that, and her name for the week was “Orphan Whore”. Also there were other students who weren’t going through the program that were involved with the process. Elon school or something like that where students yell at other students all sorts of insulting shit The end of it I reclaimed my name or whatever and they had me do like a ballet dance kind of weird thing to show rebirth, not that ballets weird, but in this scenario, yeah. I remember there was a day they said the world was going to end, someday in May 2011 some random wacko said, it made headlines as a joke more than anything, but i remember hearing it and hoping it happens because I wanted out. There was a gym there with rafters. I used to dream of hanging myself from them to get out. I dreamed about a car driving into the school and opening a wall up so we could run away. They used to tell us if we ran away there is bear and cougars out there, if they dont get us the cops will, and theyll put us in juvi just to have us sent back when out. They had these things called group essays. If someone did something and it no one admitted to it wed all have to write an essay about how we could have prevented it. One time a kid wiped shit on all the walls in the bathroom, the kid never admitted to it so we all had to write an essay on how we could have prevented it. I remember one time going to use the bathroom there was semen on the toilet seat, lol teen boys sex drive. I just wiped it off before I sat down. One time late at night I was masterbating in my bed. There was 20 of us sleeping in bunks in the same room, the kid who ended up copying my work i mentioned, saw me making some um, sheet movements, and looked my way giving me a dirty look, i just rolled over pretending like i was scratching, oh snap, almost caught. Not trying to be disgusting, teenage boys, find one that doesn’t masterbate, and i’ll give you some ocean beach front property in Kansas. You got weekly phone calls with your parents, you never dared to say what was going on because they were always listening. Letters same, they read them, so no use in saying something, they’ll just read it and throw it away, later my father asked me why didn’t you tell me what was going on? Well… My gf at the time ended up getting a bf after 6 months of waiting, i don’t blame her. Hey it was teenage love so im not hurt, but at the time it hurt because neither of us willingly ended it. She sent me a bookmark to have up there, it had us kissing on it, they took it from me for it being sexually explicit. They banned me from sitting up in bed and praying. I was atheist from 12 to 27 except for that time, i came back to my faith, praying for my exodus. I’m a christian again now, but only after I found a denomination that was open and affirming because I’m bisexual. Thinking about this, my mind can’t explain the pain, the rain of emotional trauma that falls in my cranium. Many times I’ve turned to cocaine, liquor, and suicidal thoughts because of the pain. It fucked my whole concept of everything in life. My emotions, my understanding of control of my own life, my ability to have healthy relationships, just so much. I still have dreams of being back there and wake up with nightmares, I was sixteen then, i turn 30 this year thirty, i have a beautiful amazing wife, a son who is the biggest blessing in my life, like i got it together now, but I don’t still, obvious by writing this. I remember one time getting to get my glasses prescription. They had to take me to town, the eye doctor, i thought about coming to him for help, but I thought if he works with these people, hell just report me to them, not them to authorities. My grandpa applegate, my moms dad, he died of suicide while I was gone, diagnosed with a terminal cancer he took it into his own hands. I never got to say good bye. When his funeral happened I wasn’t brought home for it, no, I was allowed to “write a letter to be read”. I wrote a letter, and it got read and a lot of family members said how deep it was and mature, I till this day have never watched the funeral video, I can’t. Because I should have been there. When I was on the wall, lookin towards the window could get me in trouble, because it was considered plotting an escape. I read in an english class I know where the caged bird sings, it became my favorite poem because I would watch the birds on the outside of the window and see how free they were. The joy of that. I was a juggalo, they banned me of talking anything icp related. I’d hum icp songs in protest, not like they knew them, also still a juggalo, two scoops of whoop. They day my dad came to get me, well I was peeing, and when I got out I saw him by the front door which was not far from the restroom, I ran up and hugged him saying oh my god dad! I love you! I started crying. He took to the place I always heard the workers there talk about a place called the Sugar Shack, a donut shop. Gosh dang good donuts! Then he took me to some cousins on the coast of oregon. Two days being out I was running on the beaches of the oregon coast. The sand in my feet, the breeze, the feeling of freedom. Scotts Valley School was shut down i think in 2016 for child abuse, i will link articles, but damn that place will forever haunt my head. The bats of the cave of my mind. I am married now with a family. I do my best to be a strong individual and provide, but this place has forever scared me and left me feeling weak. I couldn’t protect myself, so now I want to do everything to protect my family and be there for them. Scotts Valley school, I now live in a place called Scott Valley, the geographic area name, all come full circle? There is probably a lot more I could add to this, but for now, I just wanted to write down the bare minimum. If you have read this, thank you. I have found peace in my mind, heart, and soul as much as I can, and I hope those who have gone through similar ordeals can find some semblance of peace in their existence as well. He got demoted, and got repromoted before I left. I never got past phase 1. So phase 1 red shirt. Phase 2 green shirt. Phase 3 Blue shirt. Phase 4 and above whatever you want. Like I said a lot of this is not in order. I am writing this in one go after years of talking about it to my loved ones. Put my thoughts to the pen, or keyboard in this case. So they did this thing were it was like a week, where it was the program or some weird name. They would break you down and “build you up” you would get a demeaning name for a week and then get an empowering name. I got the picture that if you were just a weed smoking low grade getting teen, you wouldn’t be ever seen as getting progress, you had to have “admitting to a bad act” of some sort. I made a story about how I let a girl cut me and drink my blood and how I thought about killing my dad. I know, like why would one lie and say that?!, well I figured if I had said I had done that and then shown to be turned good, it would reward me as changed and out that place. Looking back im like what the fuck. But I just wanted out and I was sure as hell willing to lie my way out. So yeah i went by like blood sucker or something like that for a week, but thats not bad. I remember so well one girl who was adopted and had relations with several boys back where she was from, she got sent there for that, and her name for the week was “Orphan Whore”. Also there were other students who weren’t going through the program that were involved with the process. Elon school or something like that where students yell at other students all sorts of insulting shit The end of it I reclaimed my name or whatever and they had me do like a ballet dance kind of weird thing to show rebirth, not that ballets weird, but in this scenario, yeah. I remember there was a day they said the world was going to end, someday in May 2011 some random wacko said, it made headlines as a joke more than anything, but i remember hearing it and hoping it happens because I wanted out. There was a gym there with rafters. I used to dream of hanging myself from them to get out. I dreamed about a car driving into the school and opening a wall up so we could run away. They used to tell us if we ran away there is bear and cougars out there, if they dont get us the cops will, and theyll put us in juvi just to have us sent back when out. They had these things called group essays. If someone did something and it no one admitted to it wed all have to write an essay about how we could have prevented it. One time a kid wiped shit on all the walls in the bathroom, the kid never admitted to it so we all had to write an essay on how we could have prevented it. I remember one time going to use the bathroom there was semen on the toilet seat, lol teen boys sex drive. I just wiped it off before I sat down. One time late at night I was masterbating in my bed. There was 20 of us sleeping in bunks in the same room, the kid who ended up copying my work i mentioned, saw me making some um, sheet movements, and looked my way giving me a dirty look, i just rolled over pretending like i was scratching, oh snap, almost caught. Not trying to be disgusting, teenage boys, find one that doesn’t masterbate, and i’ll give you some ocean beach front property in Kansas. You got weekly phone calls with your parents, you never dared to say what was going on because they were always listening. Letters same, they read them, so no use in saying something, they’ll just read it and throw it away, later my father asked me why didn’t you tell me what was going on? Well… My gf at the time ended up getting a bf after 6 months of waiting, i don’t blame her. Hey it was teenage love so im not hurt, but at the time it hurt because neither of us willingly ended it. She sent me a bookmark to have up there, it had us kissing on it, they took it from me for it being sexually explicit. They banned me from sitting up in bed and praying. I was atheist from 12 to 27 except for that time, i came back to my faith, praying for my exodus. I’m a christian again now, but only after I found a denomination that was open and affirming because I’m bisexual. Thinking about this, my mind can’t explain the pain, the rain of emotional trauma that falls in my cranium. Many times I’ve turned to cocaine, liquor, and suicidal thoughts because of the pain. It fucked my whole concept of everything in life. My emotions, my understanding of control of my own life, my ability to have healthy relationships, just so much. I still have dreams of being back there and wake up with nightmares, I was sixteen then, i turn 30 this year thirty, i have a beautiful amazing wife, a son who is the biggest blessing in my life, like i got it together now, but I don’t still, obvious by writing this. I remember one time getting to get my glasses prescription. They had to take me to town, the eye doctor, i thought about coming to him for help, but I thought if he works with these people, hell just report me to them, not them to authorities. My grandpa applegate, my moms dad, he died of suicide while I was gone, diagnosed with a terminal cancer he took it into his own hands. I never got to say good bye. When his funeral happened I wasn’t brought home for it, no, I was allowed to “write a letter to be read”. I wrote a letter, and it got read and a lot of family members said how deep it was and mature, I till this day have never watched the funeral video, I can’t. Because I should have been there. When I was on the wall, lookin towards the window could get me in trouble, because it was considered plotting an escape. I read in an english class I know where the caged bird sings, it became my favorite poem because I would watch the birds on the outside of the window and see how free they were. The joy of that. I was a juggalo, they banned me of talking anything icp related. I’d hum icp songs in protest, not like they knew them, also still a juggalo, two scoops of whoop. They day my dad came to get me, well I was peeing, and when I got out I saw him by the front door which was not far from the restroom, I ran up and hugged him saying oh my god dad! I love you! I started crying. He took to the place I always heard the workers there talk about a place called the Sugar Shack, a donut shop. Gosh dang good donuts! Then he took me to some cousins on the coast of oregon. Two days being out I was running on the beaches of the oregon coast. The sand in my feet, the breeze, the feeling of freedom. Scotts Valley School was shut down i think in 2016 for child abuse, i will link articles, but damn that place will forever haunt my head. The bats of the cave of my mind. I am married now with a family. I do my best to be a strong individual and provide, but this place has forever scared me and left me feeling weak. I couldn’t protect myself, so now I want to do everything to protect my family and be there for them. Scotts Valley school, I now live in a place called Scott Valley, the geographic area name, all come full circle? There is probably a lot more I could add to this, but for now, I just wanted to write down the bare minimum. If you have read this, thank you. I have found peace in my mind, heart, and soul as much as I can, and I hope those who have gone through similar ordeals can find some semblance of peace in their existence as well. Somebody just added some minebot to my microsoft account, does this mean he has remote access to my laptop? Is this some sort of malware?
Nothing came to mail about logging in, although I had logging attempts for past couple of days, I think I downloaded some malware.
I needed to download some adobe programs for my uni, since I don't have that much money to be paying subscription every month for couple of years I tried to download cracked one. I've downloaded photoshop and illustrator 2 years ago and it went without a problem. I tried to download premiere 4 days ago, and my computer just went crazy my windows security and all sort of stuff, said it is some trojan coinminer, I watched every single way on youtube how to get rid of it, went to the safe mode full scanned it tens of times and I thought I got rid of it because it said nothing was found. So basically tommorow somebody got into my instagram account that was logged on my pc from Indonesia and followed random pages. I was like how did he got into without me getting any sort of email of warning or something? Next thing he tried is Facebook but because I had a bunch of stuff turned on it was just a try and I changed my password. Today he got into my telegram account that was also on my pc logged, so I think that's what connects them all, I got my account but he's singed in and I can't get him terminated because he's logged longer than me?!?!? But okay he tried some other sites I got emails for that. BUT the plot twist of it all I went on my microsoft account and saw 5 or 6 login tries even before I downloaded premiere, like 2 days, and that whole week I wasn't even on my laptop that much I was just watching youtube and that's basically it. So I'm really scared because this is lasting for a couple of days now and I geniunely think It's just a matter of time before he get's into something big and literally fuck my life up. I lost my apetite, can't sleep, can't function like at all. I'm thinking about factory resetting windows, but I also think cookies are the problem because I'm just paranoic, should I delete cookies first, factory reset windows and then change passwords or in what order?
