It was a beautiful story in which a couple with their cat moves into an old house. The animals in this book are sentient, they talk to each other and are cautious about these new hosts but eventually grow to love them and cooperate with them.
I cannot remember much about this book, but I believe I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, so the book was 1998 or earlier, in Oklahoma. I don't remember if it was a Sequoyah book or not. It was a chapter book i believe, without pictures - but I could be wrong about that!
The scenes I remember are 1) The couple and their cat have recently moved into this old house. They are sitting in the library or some family room and one of the younger mice is snooping around on a bookshelf, trying to learn more about these new hosts. The mouse gets discovered and so finds herself paralyzed with fear. The couple and their cat just go back to sitting down and letting the mouse be. After a long time the mouse, still terrified, moves and to her surprise there is no reaction from the hosts. Eventually the mouse makes it back to her family and tells them about this.
2) There are moles in the yard. A gardener or a neighbor starts talking to the couple about his "pest control" solution to deal with the moles, but the couple politely says they are not interested, that they have found that the moles don't bother them if they don't bother the moles. Hearing this, the moles have a talk and decide they are going to treat their hosts' garden with respect. Then, later in the book, we the audience, get to see the beautiful garden that all of the animals have helped make. The gardeneneighbor is dumbfounded.
I might remember some more snippets that I'll add below. Thinking about this book on a nice night in my backyard. I've been feeling a sense of nostalgia for this story. Please help if you can!

Alright Apes,
I was out walking my dog, ready to get back home to go to sleep, and then it happened. I did one last check of superstonk to get my dopamine hit that is our community and well, I got more than I asked for. Now I have too much energy to sleep because I am so fucking hyped for what I found. So here I am.
This beautiful post popped up at nearly midnight my time.
When it said watch in reverse, I had mixed emotions because one of my favorite post was the one with the opening to the White Stripes glitch mob remix. Go watch the video if you haven’t already. That’s one of my favorite songs for very personal reasons and the idea that GME was about to unleash something that caused a glitch was very exciting to me. I wanted that to be the foreshadowing that RK left us with.
But I like every other GME theory I read, it consumes me. I’m obsessed. So what the heck, let’s go watch everything in reverse.
Lucky for me I realized very quickly that when you go to the X iphone app and watch the latest video in full screen, you can just swipe up to see the next video. So, the next hour of my night was planned out.
That was an hour ago. I am so hyped about what I saw that I’ve decided to sit down and write out the my whole interpretation of what I saw. I don’t have answers for every single post but there does seem to be a theme that matches the theory that these are meant to watch in reverse.

One last things before I get started. I think DFV has been here all along. I think he has read all of the DD and I think he made his memes with all of that in mind. I highly doubt he knows anything for sure but is just a fan of the DD. Just like I am. And there is one DD I fell in love with from the first moment I read it. I think he did too and this is his thesis. He has read all the tea leaves and doesn't think anyone has put it together like he has so he is sharing his interoperation of the DD, the market conditions, and the news and is going to do one last DD himself.

I think that represents the synthetics that plague our market. (I will find that comment that explains it better and go back to watch the movie myself and update this).

I have gotten my hormones tested always normal besides from once I got it done during ovulation and my testosterone was raised then I was told to come back again after ovulation and it went back to normal.
I have regular periods, I have lots of follicles but I got told this is because I’m young as well. I use to maybe have about 3 black hairs, but each time I pluck one about 2/3 come back in its place. Same I use to have a mole on my face use to grow one black long hair and now it grows 4! Why is this I’m worried. I’m 24F. You can’t see them without flash or being in a very extremely bright light. Info on the dog: My boy is a rescue. He is around 8 years old and my guess is that he is a labrador mix but to be honest he looks like a Dingo. He is a male and has very unique mutations. Like an extra thumb in his back paws. He has all his vaccines and is in general very healthy.
I just found a lump on his right thigh. Its small, about the with of a pencil. It has the same color of his skin (pale pink) all around and hair growing on top of it. My guess is that it's a wart or a mole of some kind and he is getting a bit old so my instincts say is nothing to worry about but I dont know if maybe I should still take him to the vet.

Start trying to go through the ocean of mole miners, get a few more shots off at the titan, only has less than a 1/4 health left, and I get taken down AGAIN. So I found out a few days ago that I have genital warts. The first and last time I've had sex was in December 2022 so about a year and a few months ago. I want to know also if I can transfer the genitals to other parts of my body too cause I'm so paranoid. If I touch them and I touch my face or mouth or any other part of my body will I get them on there? How do I avoid spreading them all over my body? i have 98.41X percentile in jee mains and being general candidate i never wanted to join via jee. all my hopes were on UGEE but yesterday results were declared and i literally cried as i missed the cutoff in reap with 3 marks [ 66 needed and i got 63 and i got 29 marks in supr section where just 14 is enough for qualification ]. i just neglected everything after the ugee exam as i am confident that i will get selected for the interview. and now the only best option left with me is bitsat. and as i have concentrated only on ugee i neglected chemistry as hell [ even in the exam there are negligible questions from chemistry ]. i hated chemistry every day and night and even in jee mains i just got 20 marks in chemistry i completely depended on math and phy and knew them very well.
only topics i KNOW in chemistry are : atomic, periodic classification, biomolecules, polymers, chemical kinetics, mole concept thats all!
only topics i "DON'T KNOW" in math are just : apps of diff, complex, binomial, seqs and series
i am really good at physics and remaining maths.
i gave 9 bitsat mocks in my college just for name sake and got always above 250+ even without these topics as our college tests have even distribution among chapters , now my fear is that what if some dozen questions came from the topics i dont know in maths, and no questions came from the topics i know in chemistry in the main exam? as i stayed in hostel till now with no phone allowed, i just came to know that the tests in my college are way easier than the embibe and mog mocks, i am literally dying now and my bitsat is on 24th afternoon. what can i do now in these 5 days? so i can score better in the main exam or do just have to prepare for session 2?
