2024.05.19 04:55 John-Sedgewick-Hyde Refutation of Trails Carolina’s ABSURD statement claiming they’ve “come so far” (making changes, as to not “accidentally” kill their “campers” in the future) — PBS Idaho is the BEST for producing this video exposing them in 2006 when Trails was “SUWS” in the barren Idaho desert under AEG (now FHW)
| Everything about this is the exact same as what has taken place at Trails Carolina, propelled by Graham Shannonhouse and Sue Crowell, Dr. Phil’s troubled teen go-tos from Aspen Education Group. This is an edited segment; however, I still recommend watching the long episode, which is free on PBS. The freeze frames are intentional to highlight some of the things that felt rather ominous given what has happened at Trails since its unfortunate inception. Sue and Graham and WTC and Family, Help, and Wellness must be banned from this any further. I believe that the transport company featured in this video is the same one that kidnapped Clark Harman (DBA "Right Direction Adolescent Services" or "RDAS"). Sue's brother ran it for a long time. In addition to another transport company, along with working in many other dangerous TTI wilderness programs (under Bain Capital/Aspen/CRC/now FHW). It is truly impossible to keep track. Now they're offering "wellness" medical weight loss spa services/retreat and Skyterra Young Adult, which is legally registered as "Trails To Wellness, LLC” I believe. Skyterra is a whole newer network of deceptive for-profit facilities. Sue also holds a position with Aspen Medical Group. submitted by John-Sedgewick-Hyde to troubledteens [link] [comments] |

2024.05.18 09:04 fuzziecrocs Do you love or hate your landlord? Help a future renter out and let me know HERE :’)
Has anyone rented from ‘Atrium Properties’ or Tom/Richard Stachler? I can’t seem to find any recs or not so recs on these two.
I’ve already complied the rest of my list based on what I’ve read and researched online:
Beal- Avoid at all costs. Literally just don’t do it.
Barnes and Barnes- Half good, half bad reviews
Flomar- Half good, half bad, depends on the unit
Lakeshore Apts- Best in the whole city by a milestone, waitlist booking into November
Three Oaks- Mostly positive, hard to get ahold of
Huron Visa- Brand new affordable housing complex, unfortunately managed by ‘KMG Prestige’ who have absolutely terrible reviews, 1 person income max: $50,220, 2 people income max: $57,360
Thompson Loft Apartments: Start at $1,700, ridiculously overpriced, extremely noisy train according to AirBnb reviews. Full of AirBnbs.

2024.05.17 23:20 kingofstormandfire This the Top 6 singles of 1968 according to Billboard year-end list. Which one is your favourite?
In the end, it wasn’t even close. It came between The Monkees and The Doors, who both scored the vast majority of the votes. Turns out, The Doors lit a greater fire underneath the members of Toddintheshadow’s subreddit as “Light My Fire” won over “I’m a Believer”.
1) “Hey Jude” (The Beatles) https://youtu.be/mQER0A0ej0M?si=IOOOxQKLgBvM2mRg
This highly obscure Beatles song spent a measly nine weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Written primarily by Paul McCartney, "Hey Jude" was a global number-one hit, topping charts in the UK, US, Australia, and Canada. It tied the 1968 record for the longest Billboard Hot 100 number-one run at nine weeks—a record it held for nine years until Debby Boone (an artist Todd has covered) beat it with “You Light Up My Life”. Notably, at over seven minutes, it was the longest single to top the US charts at the time. The song, which has sold around eight million copies, ranks among the greatest songs ever on many critics' lists. Originally titled "Hey Jules," McCartney wrote it to comfort John Lennon's son Julian during his parents' breakup. The lyrics promote a positive outlook and encourage finding love. The song culminates in a four-minute "Na-na-na na" coda.
Yeah, so I’m pretty confident this is winning the poll. It’s only real competition is what’s at No. 4.
2) “Love is Blue” (Paul Mauriat) https://youtu.be/Y_tPE3o5NWk?si=2IMt4M_4usRP46iE
"L'amour est bleu" (or in English, "Love Is Blue") is a song whose music was composed by André Popp, and whose lyrics were written by Pierre Cour, First performed in French by Greek singer Vicky Leandros (appearing as Vicky) as the Luxembourgish entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1967, it has since been recorded by many other musicians, most notably in this case by French orchestra leader Paul Mauriat, whose instrumental version (recorded in late 1967) became the first number-one hit by a French lead artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, spending five weeks at the top. I would go into the lyrics, but this version doesn’t have lyrics. It remained the only French song to top the chart until 2017, when Daft Punk was a featured artist on The Weeknd's number-one hit "Starboy".
This is a very cool easy listening instrumental. It has a baroque pop influence to it no doubt influenced by what was happening in contemporary music. I like this song.
3) “Honey” (Bobby Goldsboro) https://youtu.be/rZiEY3O-FWk?si=ONNbUmykbmPwiM2t
"Honey" is a song written by Bobby Russell. He first produced it with former Kingston Trio member Bob Shane, who was the first to release the song. It was then given to American singer Bobby Goldsboro, who recorded it for his 1968 album of the same name, originally titled Pledge of Love. In the song, the narrator mourns his absent wife, and the song begins with him looking at a tree in their garden, remembering how "it was just a twig" on the day she planted it. Only in the third verse is it finally revealed that "one day...the angels came," and that his wife had died. Goldsboro's version was a hit, reaching No. 1 in several countries, including the US, spending five weeks at the top (it was the 200th to reach No. 1).
Oh man, this song sucks. It’s so schlocky and stupid. Unfortunately, it was indicative of the type of schlock that would top the charts in the uncool 70s. It is widely considered one of the worst songs to ever top the charts, and I agree.
4) "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" (Otis Redding) https://youtu.be/7C-VscEQugk?si=OiSQuUQVuZg6kloj
A posthumous No. 1 for soul legend Otis Redding, it was co-written by Redding and guitarist Steve Cropper. Redding recorded it twice in 1967, including just three days before his death in a plane crash on December 10, 1967. The lyrics convey a sense of resignation and the calm acceptance of life's struggles, with the singer watching the ships roll in and then roll away again. Redding considered the song unfinished, and planned to record what he considered a final version, but never got the chance. It was released on Stax Records' Volt label in 1968, becoming the first posthumous #1 single in the US.
If this was the unfinished version, then holy cow, what would the final version sound like? Absolutely amazing song. It gets my vote.
5) “People Got to Be Free” (The Rascals) https://youtu.be/PGUhdwTyziM?si=aVORpZSy0bG2auOb
"People Got to Be Free," The Rascals' third and final US No. 1 hit, was penned by band members Felix Cavaliere and Eddie Brigati, with Cavaliere on lead vocals. This upbeat yet passionate song calls for tolerance and freedom. Released during the turbulent summer of 1968, it topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks, marking the group's longest run at number one. Although some linked the song to the 1968 assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy It was actually recorded before Kennedy's death and was inspired by a hostile incident where the group, sporting beards and long hair, faced threats from locals after their tour vehicle broke down in Fort Pierce, Florida.
I love The Rascals (or Young Rascals as they were formerly known). Great band. The best band to fuse soul and rock. And this is a great protest song.
6) “Sunshine of Your Love” (Cream) https://youtu.be/y_u1eu6Lpds?si=-eyy704gRCjLo4tJ
This 1967 song by Cream was written by Pete Brown and Cream members Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton, the latter of which is everyone’s favourite boomer (Bruce and Clapton wrote the music; Brown the lyrics). It had two chart runs in the US. Originally, it peaked at No. 36 on the Hot 100 in late-1967, but a re-release in mid-1968 saw it reach No. 5 on the Hot 100. With elements of hard rock and psychedelia, it is one of Cream's best known and most popular songs, and features one of the most iconic guitar riffs of the 1960s. It is one of the most acclaimed and enduring songs of the psychedelic era.
Although Clapton is an asshole, you can’t deny his guitar playing, at least back then. Damn, this is a great song. What a riff. The guitar work is so catchy and cool.
Rounding out the Top 10 is “This Guy’s in Love With You” (Herb Alpert) (No. 7), “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” (Hugo Montenegro) (No. 8), “Mrs. Robinson” (Simon & Garfunkel) (No. 9) and “Tighten Up” (Archie Bell and the Drells) (No. 10)

2024.05.16 20:02 Shocho Have they ever talked about how they write songs?
Do they always collaborate on songs? Or does one member write a song and bring it to the group?
Does the author of a song always sing that song?
Are some parts of songs written by other members? (Lennon and McCartney used to write the bridges, or "middle eights," of each other's songs.)
What songwriters most inspire them? Are there songwriters they try to emulate?

2024.05.15 05:30 delibirdguy Top 500 Songs Ever (Subjective)
Over the course of the past few months I have been working on compiling a list of my 500 favorite songs. It was sort of challenge that I gave myself and I'm super pumped with how it turned out. There were a few rules (only 5 songs per artist being the big rule, among a few others), and here's the list I came up with. Thought it was fun, so wanted to share here and see if it might spark any discussion about song placement, lack of songs/artists, or see if anyone had any similar lists. All thoughts are welcome! 2024.05.15 00:45 koolking83 Who Could Have Been Noel’s Lennon sidekick ?
Watching Let it Be made me think, imagine if Noel (let’s say he’s the McCartney of the group), had a Lennon, which raises the question , who from that era would have made the best music working with Noel ? Is it Dam? Who are some other lead singers from the era that you’d have loved to see a collaboration with ?

2024.05.15 00:22 SociallyDrivenMusic Sometimes Music Reflects Society, Now It Must Also Urgently Lead Again!
So, it’s been suggested that we present a simplified overview of the recent essays (linked below) that I co-wrote with respected analyst Hanna Kahlert, of renowned London-based MIDiA Research, which covered so much territory of interconnected concepts that all affect the current and future viability of the music industry. This summary eschews the essays’ “$10 words,” (with the exception of using “eschews” here!) with which some have struggled, and is shared in the bite-sized, more digestible form of a survey and petition in combination with this summary/bullet point preface of some of the most salient points. The survey and petition presents the essence of our thesis in the uncomplicated context of a proactive social impact campaign format.
First, let me explain. I grew up in a Long Island suburb town (about thirty miles outside New York City) during the “English Invasion” of music. I’d first hear new releases on my FM clock radio tuned to stations that prided themselves on finding the “cool stuff” first. It was a time when we were met almost every day with another astounding, mind-blowing record and artist to discover, often with something worth thinking about and culturally significant. Sometimes these releases would even be life-changing.
Many of these recordings would become iconic — classic evergreens with songs covered endlessly. Yes, like today, there were also dismissable records then. The difference would seem to be that there are more songs about nothing today, replete with de rigeur profanity that only further detracts and is anything but “cool." While there are some very imaginative productions and impressive singers, there are few records now that demand a cerebral, emotional response, and there is a dearth that will be remembered as moving the needle at all, so to speak. Even customary love themes are largely just recycled imitations of the greats.
Since I also relate to the sensitivity of empaths — someone attuned to the deep feelings of those around them at a personal level — I tend to gravitate to music with a message that connects with us viscerally, that which touches the soul. Especially in our currently fraught times, there clearly is a need for thought-provoking music and for more attention given to the evolution of this genre of what was once deemed “protest songs.” Socially poignant music is a category that disguises protest in metaphors and yet is just as potent. It will create community and superfans, lift spirits, and engender a large movement of positive social advocacy. I established Socially Driven Music to develop and market #Music4APurpose. The concept resonated with Hanna Kahlert and we set about to co-write what we envision.
While developing our conclusions towards offering actionable, viable value-propositions for the music industry, we took several months to sort our ideas, research, digest and assimilate the daily deluge of information about changes battering the music industry.
While I wasn’t aware that Mark Mulligan, MIDiA’s Founder and Managing Director, was developing his “Bifurcation Theory,” it is validating to be in sync with his thinking and to be presenting what I consider to be the roadmap to implementing that theory. I am excited about offering takeaways that will hopefully propel many away from feelings of helpless, hopeless despair and towards optimism and positive activism through the enrapture we seek from our music and the communities built around it.
Socially driven music has traditionally been a powerful way to raise awareness about issues across the board, such as Discrimination, Climate, Democracy, Mental Health, Bullying, Substance Abuse, Antisemitism, Equality, Homelessness, Veterans, Suicide,Terrorism, Gun Control, Women’s Productive Rights, Food and Clean Water Insecurity, Cancer and other illnesses, Animal Rights/Protection, Environmental Justice, Oceans, LGBTQ+ rights, etc.
Our mandate recognizes the crucial difference of a sustained campaign animated by a song. Above all, we must always remember and honor “The Greatest Generation” (and all Veterans) who fought and died upholding ideals that they expected us to continue to respect. Political affiliation is most often indoctrinated and not questioned individually. Support traditional Republican philosophy if you must, but #MAGA is not the antidote to Democrats and is authoritarian and dangerous to our democracy! All causes, including music rights, are affected by the influence of a common denominator — politics. Each social cause group is a large community which can be further grown and energized with the natural evolution of fans to music superfans. Compelling socially thematic music enraptures and beckons fans to demonstrate their proud commonality and membership in a next generation fan club that can actually impact society with its fervor and political influence.
Socially Driven Music, the #Music4APurpose consultancy brand, powers extraordinary reciprocal benefits for artists and songwriters when integrated with the community of fans, causes, supportive brands and empathetic politicians ! [

A list of many social impact causes can be found in the dropdown menu here. We are thrilled and very appreciative to have been invited to talk with some of the most highly regarded podcast and webinar programs which will
include delving into why major record labels discouraging artists espousing political views is anachronistic, irrelevant and no longer a barrier.
As you work through the survey and petition in this post, you’ll likely have an “aha moment.” We look forward to working with you and our fast growing interactive coaltion who share a passion for energizing positive changes in causes that matter to us all.
Join us. Democracy is a big issue in 2024 and one we can influence together! (The correct local and national choices will influence the rest.)
ONE: The Survey TWO: The Petition THREE: Connect With Your Senators and Representatives Identify your Senators and Congressional Representatives with this link and website tool, below, and let us know in the above survey for what purpose you’d like to collaborate with them. Socially Driven Music’s mandate is to facilitate a potent music-fan-cause-brand-political influencer consortium for positive social impact.
Raise your hand in the survey if you are an artist who might want to volunteer at a voting polling station or actually volunteer to help a campaign with calling voters (and meet some new fans).
PS: Although this piece is focused on how music can influence American politics and the fraught issues it impacts, this same template can be applied worldwide. Talk to us! And here is the epitome example of what we aspire to create: Paul Simon wrote the masterpiece “American Tune” in 1973 and it applies 51 years later even more to today’s troubled times. This is one of the best examples of the socially poignant music that we contend is so important to create again today, and a brilliant example of a copyright that will live on forever.
The first link is Rhiannon Giddens with Paul at the Grammy Salute evening for him. The second link is Paul’s original.
The song will bring the listener to tears as it describes a societal hopelessness and yet compels the listener to fight through the despair. It perfectly summarizes the emotion powering Socially Driven Music and I hope helps convey what this written summary is trying to articulate.

2024.05.14 16:46 Alternative_Park_996 Exclude SQL data from Image backup
Hello Veeam Masters of Reddit,
I have several SQL VMs with Always On Availability groups using SQL failover. So they fall in that very narrow windows of being supported only by VBR managed Agent backups. The direction I am receiving is to let the DBA use OLA scripts to backup the SQL databases. Which is sad because we had just ironed out the Agent backups.
They still want to backup the SQL VMs. Cool, ill turn on COPY only in the App Aware processing, and stagger backups so none of the nodes will process at the same time since im no longer worried about data integrity.
BUT, Now ill have 3-4 copies of the database in my repositories due to all the SQL nodes having full copies of the database. Fine for now but give it a couple months and my repositories will start to look like me at thanksgiving. I imagine if I got them to use the SQL plugin i would have the same scenario for backing up the VMs as well.
My question is should I exclude the database folders / database disks?
Does this break SQL if I have to do full VM restore, and suddenly SQL database files are missing?
DBA would do their own database restore but I dont want to break the SQL setup.

2024.05.14 16:43 UrsusHibernicus Custom boots
I've been reenacting for years now, mostly Soviet, but I recently got a lot more into partisan (both Ost and West). I'm with a group of similarly-experienced partisans (we're not just raiding Goodwill for clothing), but the one place I'm falling down is on footwear. I wear a 14US EEEE shoe, and I've been having a hell of a time finding any period-correct civilian shoe/boot that fits. Does anyone have any leads on anything, be it a good retailer or a custom cordwainer that could handle such a request?

2024.05.13 16:15 True_Paper_3830 Did Robbie Robertson taking the majority of The Band royalties – in spite of his bandmates inimitable contributions - ruin his legacy?
Was the history of The Band - and Robbie Robertson himself - marred by Robertson taking the vast majority of royalties?
The counter-argument is it was legal, he wrote most of the songs. However, contracts are what band members or anyone wants to agree to – hence the Lennon/McCartney agreement. So did the other Band members deserve better? Looking at the other The Band members' work on the group’s greatest songs to say that they didn't bring their brilliant distinctive musicality to songs is a non-starter. Can you imagine anyone but Levon singing The Night .. ?
These musical contributions in turn increased Robertson’s majority wealth far beyond what it would have been.
It's possible to see why it happened in the earlier days, young men are often more competitive, selfish, and self-interested. But in Robertson’s ‘maturer’ years – of decades - should he have reconsidered a royalties split that, if not necessarily even, was a fairer one that recognized the other The Band members unique contributions? For example, this is $50 million we’re talking about, not the money Robertson desperately needed to pay a mortgage.
It's impossible to say whether other Band members might have lived longer. As Robbie himself said in a Big Issue interview, "By the late Seventies I thought, we've got to get off the road. Somebody's going to die." In The Last Waltz film in 1976 he commented that ‘the Road’ had taken some of the ‘best ones’ and that it was no way to live.
The others Band members in later life had to keep on the road because they needed funds. As Rick Danko said on a tour in his fifties, “Too old to work, too young to retire.” It’s clear how life on the road can take it out of musicians in their youth, arguably doubly so when they’re older.
Robertson himself recognized this as above, but in his maturer years in terms of royalties he still didn’t appear to reflect, or reflected and dismissed – what his fellow Band members where still going through on the road and – most importantly - what they had brought to songs he wrote in musical collaboration in the studio, which in turn helped bring much greater wealth to him due to their brilliant musicality, unique skills and singing.

2024.05.13 00:16 dr_peppy Very Rare Autographed Postcard with all 4 guys, plus Louise Harrison! Belongs to my grandmother, who received it c. 1963, ended up attended 1966 Hollywood Bowl, and was a lifelong fan. Had no idea how rare & valuable memorabilia like this is until recently… Anyone have an estimate on the value?
| Hi everyone! This is my first time using this subreddit. I am posting to present to you all, and am seeking evaluation and/or appraisal if possible, of a pretty special collection of “The Beatles” Autographed memorabilia which belongs to my Grandmother. If you would be so kind, I would greatly appreciate any input you might be able to tell about these items, as I’m unable to come up with anything concrete, due to either difficulty finding proper comparables—or best case scenario—because the big ticket item in question here is so rare that there aren’t many comps in existence. Even if you don’t have skills with evaluating autographs, I figure some of you guys (Beatles fans especially, obviously) might find this interesting, as from my understanding it is a pretty rare and notable! Okay so without further ado the highlight of her collection—without one doubt, is this postcard. In fact it could easily be the most valuable thing she owns outside of her house. It is a Christmas Holiday season postcard signed by all four Beatles (George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr), plus Louise Harrison—it has a message which reads: “All the best for Xmas this year”, followed by Louise’s signature. Additional Detail: The postcards are definitely from very early in their career, hence Louise’s inclusion in helping with fanmail. My grandmother is still alive, very lucid/intellectual, with good memory and such, and could provide a very detailed account, including dates likely down to the month, and other context, if it would be of benefit. Off the top of her head, she believes the first postcard with 5 autographs was sent back to her during Christmas 1963. The second most interesting item is another postcard, from Louise Harrison, showing a message from George, that reads “Love George Harrison”. Louise’s part reads: “Love from Louise Harrison”. The overall condition of the postcard is average, if not slightly above average, aside from a moderate crease from being folded at some point, and the associated damage partway down the sheet of paper—though it does not obstruct any written material. Additional Detail: For some reason, my grandmother believes there’s a possibility that George’s part of the message/autograph was forged by Louise, in an effort to divvy up fan mail duties and make it easier for the performers—however, after analyzing the stroke and other characteristics of his signature in particular, I am quite confident that George’s part is genuine. Wouldn’t mind any opinions on this, if you guys feel strongly one way or the other about it. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. ENTIRELY OPTIONAL & LONG WINDED—FEEL FREE TO SKIP UNLESS YOU’RE INTRIGUED BY THE BACKSTORY AND INTERESTED IN OTHER LESS IMPORTANT DETAILS —Not essential to a basic appraisal. However if the items are of particular interest or if your experienced and/or professional eyes deem that the collection is indeed as exceptional as I’ve realized and hope they are, after doing moderately intensive, but perhaps still relatively modest/amateur research on the matter, then I figured that providing as much information as I can offer from my preliminary, non-professional analysis of the collection could be useful. A note about Authenticity: Concerning the two autographed items, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they are completely genuine (According to my grandmother, there is a small possibility that George’s autograph in the second postcard—however—is a “forgery” done by Louise Harrison, though it is not clear to me why she believes this, and my analysis of the autograph leans strongly toward it being a genuine autograph written by George, after all). For what it’s worth, my Grandmother’s interest in the Beatles is well documented throughout our family history, photos, and other and other materials—in fact, she even won her Hollywood Bowl tickets via a contest which we are (shockingly, due to the time period, I believe) in possession of a recording of, including its public announcement of her name and response call on the radio, as far as I am aware. No promises on this, as I do not currently know the whereabouts of the recording, but if you believe it’s worth anything in terms of possibly supporting the authenticity and/or unique story of her memorabilia collection, then I’m sure we can find it, if it exists. Her late husband/my step grandfather was always insistent that they had a recording though, and that it was buried somewhere in his old archives in the basement… unfortunately—though I am no expert on the recording medium used at that time, I believe there is a decent possibility it has degraded beyond usefulness/value. In the appraisal, I would appreciate any insight you would be willing to give, as to the value/total value of the collection, if we were able to locate a recording of her radio ticket contest win. The collection has not been professionally authenticated nor graded, but given the obvious significance, we will undoubtedly have that done by the most reputable authority we can find, to maximize buyer confidence and value accordingly. If you would be so kind, we would love to have the appraisal, present a number(s) that assumes proper authentication by a reputable group, & grading based on a rough estimate or perhaps a range of likely grades based on the photos, with accompanying value estimates based upon the possible grade range—no pressure on the accuracy, of course! I don’t mean to ask too much of you guys, and a rough estimates would be more than appreciated. If any of you have experience and/or do this professionally, or know anyone reputable who does, we would be willing to offer a more in-depth appraisal, for a fee, I’d be happy to pay—just an FYI! Regarding our interest in selling this collection or part of it, I do not believe we are interested in selling any time in the near future, due to the sentimental value and exceptional nature of an early, quintuplet-autographed postcard in as good condition as this. I have not found anything quite like it, after perusing comparable sold listings on various auction venues. Ideally, we would prefer to keep it as a family heirloom, and if we sell, I believe it would be more sensible so do so when the remaining Beatles are gone, and the band gains a mystical/legendary status that might propel memorabilia of this grade into a potentially six-figure or higher value point, which I genuinely don’t believe is outlandish, given the rarity and exceptional characteristics of this one. If I am totally off-base and overestimating the significance of what we have here, or the possibility of skyrocketing in the value and Beatles memorabilia being more coveted than the present day, please feel free to enlighten me on a more realistic evaluation of the rarity and/or value. In any case, I should state that regardless of the current value, we do not plan to sell it in the near future.. Unless it significantly exceeds my highest expectations, which I won’t write off yet due to my inability to find comparables that equal or exceed our example, in all of its defining, exceptional characteristics, including the presence of all four Beatles autographs plus Louise, the message concerning Christmas season well wishes which I suspect may possess some charm—and consequent value—to the right buyer, and the fairly extraordinarily good condition of the first postcard compared to what few comparable I’ve found sold listings for so far, and finally, its origins so early in the Beatles’s career, which are in part evidenced by Louise’s involvement in answering fan mail, which appears to have only happened from circa 1963, to the late 1960s, based on my research. But anyway, if we were to list it in the near future, it would only be for an extremely, possibly inflated value (noncompetitive, “If you want it, this is the price”) given its sentimental value to our family. It is effectively priceless to us, and realistically we’d only sell it to a party that happens to recognize it as priceless too, and is willing to pay a price that one pays for “priceless” collectibles. We could only part it for a truly gigantic price, to a buyer with “FU Money”, for lack of a better term, who is willing to pay a life-changing amount of money to us, which happens to be quite high (Fortunately! We are very lucky that we can “afford” to keep this stuff, if that makes sense… even if it’s just worth 10-20K, which I’m positive it is, at least) and we are in no rush to sell…. Just a guess off the top of my head to give perspective, if it’s valued at $50,000 for the collection after appraisal, we would likely list it indefinitely for no less than $100,000–perhaps higher—and simply wait to see if anyone bites, whilst having no expectation that it might happen, if that makes sense? Perhaps a ridiculous strategy, and again I wouldn’t be surprised if my evaluation is deemed outlandish or even “delusional”, but I believe that’s where my family stands on the matter. I apologize in advance for the long winded, overly confident/excited message. I’m just pretty excited, after realizing how special her collection appears to be, mostly on account of that first postcard, and just wanted to offer any details which may be relevant to an appraisal, and include the backstory and additional context, for whatever that may be worth. Also wanted to be clear about our current stance on the notion of selling. We’re all Beatles Lovers, and wouldn’t part with these awesome pieces of music history, without a good reason, or an absolutely dummy high offer. Would appreciate any input you’d be willing to give, on an appraisal and/or evaluation of the rarity of what is being presented. Thank you for your time! And again, if there is any incentive to pay a fee for a more comprehensive appraisal or other useful evaluative remarks which might require serious effort researching the content in question, I would be more than willing to pay. Please just let me know! Thanks again. submitted by dr_peppy to beatles [link] [comments] |

How Al Jourgensen Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Ministry's First Album 'With Sympathy'
Al Jourgensen. DERICK SMITH*
IT TOOK A conspiracy to get Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen to come around to his band’s debut album, the proudly commercial, synth-pop juggernaut With Sympathy. The vocalist has spent the last four decades separating himself from the LP, since he alleges his label at the time, Arista, and its founder, Clive Davis, pressured him into constructing a surefire Billboard hit. He has felt so embarrassed by the whole thing that he left the label and has charged fans $1,000 just for him to autograph copies of the record. Now for the first time in decades, he’ll be performing songs from With Sympathy again at this weekend’s Cruel World festival in Pasadena. He just needed a nudge.
“The guys in the band know I don’t like this record,” Jourgensen tells Rolling Stone on a Zoom from his Los Angeles home. He’s sitting outside, wearing a witchy wide-brimmed hat and mirrored Lennon sunglasses even though he’s in the shade. “They came up with all these new versions of all the old songs and then sprung them on me one night on the bus while I was on ‘shrooms. I actually wound up going, ‘Hey, that’s not bad.'”
Jourgensen’s psychotropic revelation led to talks with Cruel World and now he acknowledges mixed emotions about revisiting the material — which Ministry will perform alongside songs from the group’s second LP, Twitch — on Saturday. He says he’s finally ready.
“The reasons I don’t like that record are not really so much for the music as much as the surrounding dynamic of it,” he says. “It’s literally a label-appointed producer, label-appointed engineer, label-appointed background vocalist, label-appointed lyrics, label-appointed looks or management-appointed looks. I had to sue to get off this label as soon as that record came out. I was so unhappy.”
With disco drums, glassy synthesizers, and Jourgensen’s fey British accent, With Sympathy became an easy hit when it came out in May 1983. Lead track “Effigy (I’m Not An)” has an icy cool about it that still resonates (it was featured in an episode of Euphoria’s second season) while the singles “Work for Love” and “I Wanted to Tell Her” have a funky club feel that could fit easily between Duran Duran and Bronski Beat songs on an Eighties pop playlist. Rolling Stone recently rated the album’s “Revenge” the 42nd best song of 1983, likely much to Jourgensen’s chagrin. It was so commercial that at the time, Ministry opened for the Police, Culture Club, and Madness, and the album was Ministry’s best-selling LP until 1992’s Psalm 69. Jourgensen was so unhappy, he spent years trying to expiate the success.
The new versions of the songs, however, will sound more like the Ministry that achieved fame in the late Eighties and early Nineties, leaning into rigid rhythms and crushing guitar. The only With Sympathy redux song they’ve performed live so far, “Revenge,” features chugging metal guitars and Jourgensen’s now-guttural vocals replacing his once slight croon. The changes in the rest of the songs, which will require two keyboardists, three backup singers, and an orchestral string trio, are even more dramatic. For Jourgensen, who’s planning on sunsetting Ministry’s career with recordings of these new versions of the songs and another album with his estranged bandmate, Paul Barker, later this year, it’s a full circle moment.
“You’ll be able to recognize the songs, but we’ve certainly put the stamp on it of Ministry 2.0,” Jourgensen says during a rare interview about the album that lasts about the time it takes to play With Sympathy. “It’s not your grandpa’s Ministry.”
So what makes the new versions of the With Sympathy songs special?
We turned them into arena rock songs. People at Cruel World are going to freak out. I feel empowered and it’s very cathartic for me to finally be able to own these songs instead of run from them. This Cruel World thing is going to be literally a public exorcism.
What was your state of mind around the making of With Sympathy?
I was living in a squat where literally I had a hole in my roof. I had plugged stolen cables into a building that actually had power. And somebody offers me a record contract, I’m like, “Hell yeah, man. This sure beats a kick in the balls.”
If you’d had your way, what would With Sympathy have sounded like in 1983? Would it have been more like “Every Day Is Halloween”?
Yeah, I think so. It would have been a lot more keyboard-oriented. I was going through my keyboard phase because everybody was. As a matter of fact, Arista turned down “Halloween” and “All Day” and a bunch of other songs because Clive Davis pretty much wanted to write my songs. I mean, basically they wanted to make me a whiter shade of Milli Vanilli.
What do you mean?
On “Work for Love,” I was recording in London, and Clive Davis would call from New York and read me lyrics over a landline phone. And I’d have to jot them down and sing those, and he’d accept those. He rejected all these songs that I had done already. He wanted things like “Say You’re Sorry.” He would just call up on a whim and say, “I want you to do this.” And after living in a squat, shoveling snow out of my living room, I was like, “OK, man, whatever you want.”
So all the song credits should say, “By Clive Davis”?
No, not all of them. But even the versions I had of things like “Revenge” and “Effigy” were cleaned up by the appointed engineer, producer, and Clive and made more palatable to a pop audience. Basically, I think they signed me for having high cheekbones and being a skinny little white guy that was playing pop and funk.
What do you think they wanted you to be?
The flavor of the month that year was the Psychedelic Furs. So they appointed [the Furs’ drummer] Vince Ely as producer of [With Sympathy]. And Vince is a great guy and all that, but he’d never produced before. It was all about the look of it.
And damn it, they made me cut my hair, and that pissed me off the most. I’m an old hippie, so it’s like Samson losing his hair. I felt powerless, naked, vulnerable. It was horrible.
Bob Roberts, who played keys on With Sympathy, gave an interview a few years ago where he said you “certainly seemed to be into it at the time, more so than anyone else.” But he added that the record didn’t really reflect how you sounded onstage.
He wasn’t in London fielding the calls from Clive Davis, OK? And yes, he’s right: It did not capture us at the time because we did a lot of varied material that eventually got rejected. I really don’t know what he’s talking about because he wasn’t there. Maybe the band and him couldn’t twist my arm on things, but Clive Davis on the phone can certainly twist your arm. You pretty much do as told.
Was Clive Davis scary back then?
When you’re 21, 22 years old and you’re just coming out of a squat and now you’re living in London and fancy hotels, I’m recording at AIR Studios, George Martin’s place, with Queen’s engineer, I’m like, “Whoa.” Of course, it’s overwhelming. So you go along with everything.
The credits for With Sympathy say you not only wrote “Should Have Known Better” but recorded every instrument yourself. Is that wrong?
That one’s all mine. And yeah, there’s some real pop flavor to a lot of that stuff that I was writing back then. I’d just found keyboards and fell in love with them, and so a lot of the stuff I was doing was getting away from my roots.
Before that, I was in a metal cover band, oddly enough, called Slayer. It came before Slayer, back in ’78. And by ’79, ’80, I was in Special Affect, which is very Gang of Four-ish. And then keyboards came out and I started writing poppier stuff. But all that stuff like “Every Day Is Halloween” was written in ’81, ’82.
What were you listening to around the time you wrote With Sympathy?
My taste is completely wacko, off the charts. I listened to everything from Yma Sumac to Gang of Four to Thelonious Monk, and then into Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks. Then Killing Joke came out, and that sealed the deal for me. It was just like, “No, I’m throwing out the synthesizers and I’m going to do a lot more guitar.”
I found an interview with you from 1982 where you said, “Chic is the best band ever as far as I’m concerned.”
Oh yeah, absolutely. I still feel that way. But like I said, I’m all over the map. There’s only two types of music: There’s good and there’s shit. I was hoping I was listening to the good shit.
You also described Ministry’s music by saying, “If you can’t dance to it, you’re either a cripple or disinterested.“
Well, back then I was DJing as well, so that was important to me. You had to make people dance and buy drinks, otherwise you’re out of here. So at the time, that was a much more important factor in my songwriting than it is today.
When is the last time you listened to With Sympathy?
About 40 years ago. I still haven’t. I’ve listened to the songs my band ambushed me with on the bus but the actual original versions, no. I burned those tapes on a barbecue. We had to start from scratch on doing this show because we had no stems, no guide to go by. I didn’t even know what songs were on the album, to be honest.
I was going to ask what you thought of your vocals on the album.
I’ve listened to some songs but not the whole album. I was singing in this high key register that I couldn’t pull off now at gunpoint. It just sounds so naïve to me.
On “Effigy,” you had a British affectation, singing about “me mom and me dad.” What was that about?
Well, I was living there. You’re obviously influenced by your environment, so I don’t feel bad about that. That’s how I spoke on an everyday basis when I was living there. By the time I was done with Twitch, I’d lived there two years.
“Effigy” was used in an episode of Euphoria a few years back. What do you think about how it appeals a new audience? Do you still ask fans to donate $1,000 to charity to sign it?
I’m happy to sign it now because I’m ready to own it. I’m ready to stop that haunting me.
You left Arista after With Sympathy. What happened?
I literally had to go to court and sue to leave. They offered me a lot of money to stay, and I was just like, no, no, no, no, because I couldn’t look into a mirror anymore. I didn’t feel like I was myself anymore.
What strikes you when you look at the photo of yourself in the album art for With Sympathy?
What strikes me is anger that my management was in literally cahoots with Arista. The record company basically said, “You need to cut your hair.” Then they took me to some place on Melrose here, flew me out, and picked out a bunch of sharkskin suits.
It makes me angry at the exploitation aspect of it. I just wasn’t down with the program: that particular photo shoot and that particular “Revenge” video, which is done by the guy that did all the Cure videos, because that was the flavor of the month.
Ministry’s drummer at the time, Stevo, is the only other person in the photo. When’s the last time you spoke with him?
About 35 years. And I haven’t talked to Bob Roberts in 40 years. Just went our separate ways and I decided to just forge my own path. I’ve been known to do that with Ministry.
Yeah, you’ve had a lot of band members.
Right after Filth Pig, I took a couple of years off to live with Timothy Leary and just do acid. I was sick of it. I was sick of Paul Barker, and now I’m working with Paul Barker again on our final album.
How did you two patch things up?
Well, we realized it was both of our ex-wives suing each other instead of us. He just moved close to me here. I have a recording studio in my house, so we’re going to start the final album together in June. We’re best buddies now. We should have always been, but literally it was two other people suing each other in our names. It was really bizarre.
Have you and Paul Barker talked about the final album?
Yeah, I just heard some of his ideas. What Ministry is doing now is kind of like arena rock — it’s just much more simple and guttural — where Barker is much more ethereal and it’s more like a Brian Eno–type. So the two styles combined is what makes Ministry “Ministry.” What he played me the other day was just extraordinary.
Will Paul be joining Ministry’s live band again?
He’ll be on the last tour without a doubt.
So the plan is to do Cruel World, re-record some of the With Sympathy songs and then do the final album with Paul Barker. Which songs from With Sympathy will you never play again?
“Say You’re Sorry,” “She’s Got a Cause” — yuck, just drips with just fakeness, sugar-coated pop. Those are the two that stand out right away. I’m sure I could come up with more, but I think there’s some solid ideas on there. I just think it was just sanitized so much that it was almost beyond recognition.
Have you run into Clive Davis at all in the past four decades?
Hell no. I don’t go to his [Grammy] parties and stuff. Trust me.
You’re cool with Paul Barker now, are you sure you and Clive —
No, Clive and I aren’t going to happen.
When do you plan on re-recording the With Sympathy songs you like?
As soon as we’re done with Cruel World, I go right in the studio. And most of these songs are already done because we had to re-record them just to know how we were going to sound. So they basically just need to be mixed. It’s just going to take me a couple of weeks. Then we shop it to the highest bidder, whoever wants it. And then at that point, I start working with Barker.
Since you’re planning Ministry’s final album, how are you seeing the end of the band?
I’m 65 now. I was hoping to retire at 65, but two years of Covid made it so I can’t afford that yet. So I’ll do another couple years, and then that’s it. There’s no point in touring. And touring gets harder as you’re older anyways, and I don’t really want to do the whole casino circuit.
All I really want to do is film scoring. I get to stay at my house, and I work out of my house. And so I’m just trying to wrap everything up with a nice little bow, exorcise all demons, and put Ministry to bed.
Your recent film score was for something related to Killers of the Flower Moon.
Yes, it’s called Long Knife. It follows up on Killers of the Flower Moon. Leo DiCaprio is narrating the documentary of this. His dad is executive producer, and I think Scorsese might be involved in this as well. It will come out next year.
Other than composing film scores, what does the Ministry retirement plan look like?
That’s it. If I’m not scoring, it’ll just be activism. Everyone knows my views are pretty left. I’m not divulging my medical records, so there might be underlying reasons why it’s also time to go. I’ll just put it at that.
In the interview you gave from 1982, you said: “A few things are for sure. It’s a fairly safe proposition. I’m not going to turn into a junkie or move away or have a girl ruin my life. I don’t want to do anything else. It will be Al Jourgensen and the music business till the death.” What do you think of that now?
As far as being a junkie, yeah, I blew that one. But everything I’ve done in my life has been ass backwards. I was born premature, yellow, completely jaundiced with liver failure, and 60 percent hearing loss. So what do I become, a drunken producer? It’s been 22 years since I touched any of that shit, coke or heroin or pills or any of that shit. I don’t touch that stuff. I watch people do it in front of me and just never relapsed either, never.
So yeah, I’ve lived a pretty backward life. Everything that I wasn’t supposed to do, I did. Everything I was supposed to do, I didn’t. I’m just as confused as anyone else is on this planet and just wondering why I’m even here. So when do I get my next assignment in the universe? When do I get a new planet to go to? Because I think they keep sending me back to this one on purpose just to piss me off, but here I am.

2024.05.10 15:53 Kaleidoscope_Eyezzzz Medical Discrimination - in need of advocacy
Hi! I’ve experienced severe medical prejudice and discrimination to the point that I now have medical PTSD. I was diagnosed with Adult AuDHD last year but still cannot get help.
I’ve just moved from Mississippi (seeking medical asylum, I say) due to what the DOJ called “neglect of adult mental health patients” in a law suit that the state of Mississippi basically gave the federal government the middle finger over as in “MAKE us give a damn DOJ!” and the medical neglect as well as abuse is real. I’ve never had doctors roll their eyes at me and literally laugh at and mock me the way the doctors in Mississippi have and they’ve obviously written things in my chart that are based purely on untrue prejudicial assumptions. I’ve been so afraid of being hospitalized in a mental hospital against my will if I stand up for myself as that’s all I keep hearing is my chronic health issues are all in my head or I’m just trying to get high and I just need to be in a mental hospital. The medical gaslighting is SO REAL.
I’m terrified of doctors now. The ones from my former home town in Mississippi have blatantly violated ALL the HIPAA rights over and over again and one neurologist even bragged that I couldn’t do anything about it legally because I couldn’t even afford a lawyer! He thought it was hilarious! I legit blacked out/diassociated in his office from the confusion all of his medical gaslighting and I can’t do it anymore as if my hard drive overheated and had to reboot and I came to to him weirdly fist-bumping & walking me out of the office. From the very beginning he said things like “you can’t be autistic! you said you were recently diagnosed and you have to be diagnosed before age 19…” right after telling me I can’t self-diagnose h-EDS/POTS/MCAS because I’m not an expert/doctor but… tell me you haven’t bothered to read the DSM V without telling me you haven’t bothered to read the DSM V Mr. Expert. I wish I’d said that to him but these doctors get so defensive when you tell them things they don’t already know… as if anyone can know everything… just because you have MD after your name! I’ve even printed out pages about these rare disorders and autism + pain, etc. but they just laugh and refuse to read them.
I wish I’d recorded these encounters but the paperwork you must sign to receive treatment at the hospitals there shadily insists that we can’t record our doctors visits which seems discriminatory for ADHD ppl such as myself who need to be able to refer back to such visits and if you’re not doing anything wrong what’s wrong with recording my visits with doctors?
I used to trust doctors so much because I just knew they would “first do no harm” and help me. Not anymore. The Medical Nihilism is strong with these who practice confirmation bias instead of trying to refute their own hypothesis.
I cannot find an advocate who doesn’t charge thousands of dollars and I certainly haven’t much money atm.
Does anyone have a clue what I can possibly do? I’m reaching out to groups here in Georgia but wow… all adult support services are clearly overwhelmed without the amount of adult autists seeking help. It’s very sad that those of us who weren’t fortunate enough to be diagnosed as children are left out in the lurch.
Any advice I can get, I would greatly appreciate as I’m at my wit’s end. I haven’t had quality of life for years and I just want my life back but that’s not going to happen as long as doctors read my records where things must be written such as “pill seeker” that are only based on “failing” drug tests for having cannabis in my system - even though I have a medical marijuana card. It seems they think my illnesses (which are likely h-EDS, etc.) the cognitive fog and severe anxiety I experience when visiting the doctors - plus, dementia like issues I’d been experiencing from likely heavy metal poisoning from a huge titanium nail that was in my femur for 16 years until last year and which failed.
How do I overcome this so that I can get my life back again? Or am I just SOL unless I move to a new country? Sweden & The Netherlands sure look nice and Autism friendly.
In the words of the great John Lennon:“Won’t you pleeeeease, pleeeease HELP! meeee?”

2024.05.10 15:33 boutell New US and Canadian CCS chargers in April 2024
Here are all (*) of the new US and Canadian CCS (Level 3 fast-charging) stations that rolled out in April 2024, according to the Department of Energy. You can
get the data yourself here.
These chargers are suitable for most new EVs on the market, except for:
- Tesla drivers who haven't bought the official CCS adapter yet. Certain older Teslas need additional work done to accept the adapter.
- Leaf owners like me, owners of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, and some owners of older cars that also use CHAdeMO. If you drive such a car, see my matching post in leaf.
Some of these chargepoints will be "refreshes," e.g. the provider replaced them with faster chargers etc. Some may be incorrect. This report is only as good as the Alternative Fuels Data Center data.
There were 330 CCS charging stations with a total of 682 chargepoints added or refreshed in April 2024, which is a major uptick in both stations and chargepoints. There were only 166 new CCS charging stations in April 2023, with only 267 chargepoints. Things are trending dramatically upwards.
Some part of this is due to Tesla Magic Dock stations. Previously Tesla didn't report these to the AFDC as CCS, but now they do. And that makes sense because all CCS drivers can use them.
NOTE: most Tesla Superchargers do NOT have magic dock as of this writing (all those shown in this report should have it). I recommend using PlugShare to locate compatible stations for your vehicle.
(*) "What about other Tesla Superchargers? Can't everybody charge with NACS now?" It's coming for many makes and models, and for newer Ford models as well as a few other manufacturers charging at v3 and v4 Superchargers is already an option with a free adapter from the automakers. GM should release their adapter in the coming weeks. But since they are not open to
all CCS vehicles, this report is not the place for them. Tesla's app provides the best guide to their locations, including locations that work with non-Tesla vehicles.
Other Notes To streamline this post, multi-chargepoint locations are listed with the number of chargepoints first.
For serious trip planning, I recommend PlugShare. But by all means check out these reported new locations and submit reviews on PlugShare, which makes things better for everyone.
If you'd like to know about new chargers along your routes right away, or just prefer not to check this list monthly when new openings are rare in your area, I've set up a free service that provides email notifications as soon as they open. You can
sign up at evpov.com. Or not! I don't really have a business plan here, I built it to help EV owners like myself. PlugShare has a similar feature.

2024.05.10 11:37 kiwasabi Satanic Panic Fully Justified According to John Todd Former Illuminati Satanic Witch who exposed the hidden Satanic and occult agenda behind rock music and pop culture. The Beatles White Album and Sergeant Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band album are part of the Illuminati Luciferian religion.
There's a former Illuminati member whistleblower named John Todd who came to prominence around 1978 due to cassette tapes that were circulating which were recordings of him talking about his time serving as a Satanic Witch for the Illuminati from the time he was about 13 or 14 years old. He claims that the Illuminati has their witches cast spells and demons upon the rock albums when they're creating the master tape. John Todd claimed that television shows like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie were created in order to popularize the ideas of Witchcraft. Looking back, I had a girlfriend who loved Harry Potter books, and it was due to that influence that we ended up buying an Aleister Crowley tarot card deck. It's no coincidence that Harry Potter became the best selling book of all time and one of the most popular franchises ever made. I really do believe that Harry Potter was made to help popularize occult and witchcraft concepts. Dungeons and Dragons definitely has ties into the occult world as well based on its themes, and John Todd also said that J.R.R. Tolkien was an Illuminati member and that the Lord of the Rings trilogy was a retelling of the Satanic Bible. He claims that witches believe that the events of Lord of the Rings actually took place.
Does that mean you need to hate Harry Potter and DND? Not really. But you may not want to let their occult themes percolate too much into your self identity. The Illuminati is a demon worshipping death cult, so it's best not to honor death and Satanic themes too much if possible. I've noticed that the Harry Potter girl fans really do seem to get shaped by that whole world. There seems to be a mergence within their self identity of Harry Potter Witchcraft themes along with emo / goth music, as well as embracing concepts like Halloween and Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.
By the way, in The Golden Web (LINK), it was said that Halloween is called that because Hallow / Hollow means the moon, and ween is to "wean you off the love of life and the living and to transition you to love of death". One young lady I know literally has a tattoo of a big heart where her hand is holding the hand of the Grim Reaper. And this is a lady who was raised a Christian and even still wears a cross. So all of these things are designed to slowly chip away at traditional Christian morality and belief systems. Personally I don't consume hardly any pop culture anymore for this reason. I mostly just focus on learning more of the truth and trying to wake up others.
The more time goes on since discovering John Todd's information, the more confirmations I have about his material. For instance, one outlandish claim he makes is that The Beatles White Album is actually part of the Luciferian religion, that it's actually a Satanic document of sorts. It was only finally recently that I realized the "Paul is dead" conspiracy is all entirely real, and that Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover is literally a funeral depicting the death of the old Beatles, and welcoming in the psychedelic Sergeant Pepper band as a replacement. Sergeant Pepper also features Aleister Crowley on the cover, and was supposed to have Hitler on the cover but he was airbrushed out and covered with a tree or shrub at the last minute.
The Beatles albums from Sergeant Pepper and onwards are loaded up chock full of backwards masking with creepy messages about Paul being dead (LINK). The line "It was 20 years ago today Sergeant pepper taught the band to play" is said to reference Aleister Crowley's death on December 1st 1947, since Sergeant Pepper came out in 1967. Sergeant Pepper is theorized to actually be Aleister Crowley. So anyway, John Todd was once again proven completely right when it came to his point about The Beatles being part of the Illuminati Luciferian religion. And now it makes sense why John Lennon said, "There are only 100 people in the world who really know what our music is about".
For more about "Paul is dead" and The Beatles links with Aleister Crowley, check out the documentary The Winged Beatle (LINK) The most suppressed secret of the Illuminati Mystery Babylon Luciferian religion is the power of the human consciousness and spirit to shape reality. This is why they attempt to cast spells on us in order to program our subconsciousness so that we will manifest the reality which they desire most, which is Hell On Earth. Satanism / Luciferianism operates completely contrary and reversed to the natural order, it seeks to pervert all that is good and righteous and replace it with death, disorder, chaos, etc. This is why Christian style morality that is the backbone of the American moral fabric has been attacked for decades. And I would argue that John Lennon's comment about "We're bigger than Jesus right now" was a deliberate attack on Christianity itself. Especially since he doubled down by saying that,
"By 2012 the masses will be where we are today and Paul should be Jesus by then!" (LINK) I actually speculate that this and other quotes meant that The Beatles were being considered as a possible theme for the One World Religion as part of the New World Order
(The CIA Aquarius Group Operations document lays out this plan, sans The Beatles...that's my own speculation... LINK). So what can you do to fight back against the Satanic subversive influence of the Illuminati? Most of all you have to learn to program your own mind and subconsciousness, as that's what gives you the power to harness creative powers which allow you to shape reality. The parasitic elites know that the human spirit is able to create or attract anything it wants simply with the power of thoughts, words, and actions. That is why they attempt to hijack this power and upload their own programming in a subversive manner through backwards masking, SPELLing / double meanings, etc. Satanism is a reversal of the laws of nature and the natural order, and backwards masking is the culmination of the core of their belief system.
"Crowley's book “Magick”, one of his teachings is for adepts to learn to talk, write, and play phonograph records backwards. This is believed to have inspired and encouraged the use of backward masking in the music industry and directly tied it to the occult. This was also believed to have become a method for infiltrating the minds of unsuspecting people. The passage in Crowley’s 500 page book can be found in Appendix VII, sections (a-f). It says: a) Let him (The Adept) learn to write backwards, with either hand. b) Let him learn to walk backwards. c) Let him constantly watch, if convenient, cinematograph films, and listen to phonograph records, reversed, and let him so accustom him self to these that they appear natural and appreciable as whole. d) Let him practice speaking backwards: thus for "I am He" let him say, "Eh ma I." e) Let him learn to read backwards. In this it is difficult to avoid cheating one's self, as an expert reader sees a sentence at a glance. Let his disciple read aloud to him backwards, slowly at first, then more quickly." 2024.05.10 07:53 Fairytalks MIRACLE FOUNDATION SD: beware!!
| This is my personal experience with the San Diego based dog rescue, MIRACLE FOUNDATION SD. Everything is strictly fact and there is documentation to back it up. If you are or have had an experience with this group, please read on, and BEWARE! Late 2023- My daughter sees a post on Facebook about 20 Doodles in Maricopa County, Arizona, that are about to head to a high kill shelter. These are not typical social media star golden doodles. These are feral, fearful, not used to human touch doodles. My daughter reaches out to the rescue and immediately volunteers the 3 of us- daughter, sister and myself are up for the challenge. My sister and I agree to temporarily foster 1 dog each. We both have senior female dogs, and it would be stressful on them. It’s happening! 8 dogs will be transported from Arizona to San Diego. December 29-31, 2023- Fundraising begins! I made a paypal donation to the doodle rescue mission. I promote it and my family and friends donate. Some write checks and mail to the PO Box. I promise the fundraiser. We are off to pick up supplies in Orange County, Calif. donated by Spoof Dogs. Stephani, the rescue organizer gave my daughter a list of supplies we would need for the 8 dogs. 8 of everything: 8 water bowls, 8 leashes, 8 food bowls, collars, bags of food. We piled the truck to the rim and headed the 100+ miles back home with the goods. January 1, 2024 - May The dogs arrive. The horror! A man pulls up in a suburban type truck and unloads a handful of dog crates. Many are small and have 2 dogs shoved in them. They are all covered in urine and feces. I have never seen a stiff dog before. Stephani requests everyone takes 2 so they will adjust better. Ok, but remember, this is temporary? We are reassured as we each take 2. I started with fostering Bruno and Butters. Butters was more social than the rest of the dogs. He had a haircut, so he was obviously handled. Bruno was completely feral. Not 1 person could touch him. I had a special place in my heart for Bruno, as he was the first one handed to me out of the truck, stiff with fear. I wanted so badly to help this boy. Butters was adorable and we loved him, but he had an issue that I continued to report to Stephani about constant urinating. I am not talking not housebroken, I am speaking about this poor guy emptying his urine 4x per hour. A full bladder of clear liquid, 4x/hour. She basically kept pacifying me until finally I requested to swap him out with a dog my sister was fostering, because I was literally mopping all day. So, here comes Murphy! Meanwhile, the dogs are sick! They all have severe water diahrrea. I notice Bruno’s ears smell awful. I ask if I can use some ear drops I have here for my dog. Approved. Multiple failed attempts by Stephani to control the diarrhea. She kept bringing over pills and powders that were not in their original packages. Some old prescription bottles with labels tore off. I trust her. She wants to help dogs. It is then discovered that all of the dogs in the group not only have diarrhea, but also have ear mites, and it has been passed to my senior dog. Lovely. She does provide us with the ear mite medication, Bravecto? Time goes on, sometimes weeks would pass without as much a a check in from her. On the occasions she dropped off supplies or probiotics for the digestive issues, we would talk. She mentioned how the rescue was $30k in debt from a litter of Parvo puppies that they took in. Red flag #1? Nah! I ask for poop bags. At this point, I am going through them like crazy. She brings me a wadded up handful from her truck. Never got any again. Communication is and has been off with Stephani. Sometimes she’s nice. Oftentimes she throws jabs. Interestingly coming from someone who should be so grateful to us. We don’t want to rock the boat, so we keep quiet and really just focus on the dogs. We ignore some of the stories that don’t match up. Luckily everything was text message. A few of the dogs from this group get adopted and then returned. And then adopted and returned. No one seems to click with them. Bruno is allowing me to touch him. We play. Murphy gets adopted by a cute family with 2 very small children. It’s just me and bruno now and I get the chance to really focus on him. I am still fighting diarrhea with him. I tell Stephani I am taking him to the vet. Vet prescribes medication, if it doesn’t work, he will need to be on a special prescription diet. He needs the diet. Purina HA is approx $130 for a 25 lb bag. He eats 1bag/month. All during this time, my daughter and her fiancé are growing attached to Shiloh, who they are now left fostering. They let Stephani know right away they want to proceed. They ask to apply and ask what his adoption fee is. They are informed that the rescue would have denied them if they had applied, but they would definitely be considered for Shiloh. Bruno starts marking everywhere. I ask about getting them neutered. Was informed their vet recommend they wait so their testosterone come in. She offers belly bands. Belly bands for a dog I can barely handle. Oh yeah, she had told us she was a Dog Behaviorist. In 5 months, never once- not one time did she come to work with Bruno. Belly Bands did not work. She finally got them to me a week after I asked and I asked yet again. Then she gave me used ones. May 7, 2024- Finally after 5 plus months and now many of the other dogs have been adopted (we hope to forever homes), she approaches my daughter and her fiancé to adopt Shiloh. He had a recent foxtail incident in his paw, and the rescue did take him and pay for removal. However, now he is costing them, so they are asking a $1000 adoption fee. She also states that they are no longer of use to the organization since she will no longer be fostering, so she is of no use tot he rescue anymore and they ‘need the money”. This would absolutely be a reasonable ask for a rescue dog adoption- that had shots, been neutered, been microchipped, wasn’t feral, wasn’t ever going to be a “normal” dog. Kind of how she stated when this all started. My daughter asked if they would consider $650, considering all she/we have done for the rescue/the dogs. It was shot down. No compromise. Stephani mentioned how much money they had spent on these dogs. That’s when I got to thinking… how much did they spend on these dogs? Where is the money? I have been digging and cannot come up with anything. If anyone knows anything, has a similar story, join the group! I am still truing to get access to their financials. What I found online is they have not filed last year and were revoked. I will post proof to all of this, as well as an article of a former incident a few years ago. I questioned them, they refused to provide, I lost my shit and hung up after telling them to come and get Bruno. I was done. I could tell where this was going. They were in a sense holding us hostage to pay $1000 for Shiloh, when the other dogs were sold for less. Felt as if it were extortion. I sent Stephani a text trying to see if we could come to an agreement. She said she was bringing a board menber named Desiree on the line. Great! I am hoping I can get some answers. Desiree will not let me speak. I have valid questions. They tell me they STILL have not gotten the fundraiser money. Huh? then they change the subject, cut me off and talk about needing to get them adopted and neutered immediately because now they are. costing the rescue money. Meanwhile, we know the only female from the rescue had just had tumors removed. I yelled to come get Bruno and hung up. I had had it! This felt awful. I was used. They were assholes for taking advantage of caring, vulnerable people. Stephani shows up to my daughters house, unannounced, asking to take Shiloh, as they were taking both to get neutered and would be ready for pick up at 7pm form the vet. I knew. My heart sunk. Shiloh would never return. She then shows ups at my house, an hour after I asked her to be there and my emotions are hot. Desiree is on her cell. I yell over the phone to Desiree to please call me. I fell money is being misused. I scram out my phone number in hopes she will call. She does not call. Shiloh is listed on Petfinder now as Pedro. We gave a petition to get him back. In the end, our intention was to save these dogs. They came from a horrible situation. Shame on this “rescue”. Never again!
