Here is my experience getting an aqua peel treatment at Peum Global Clinic in Gangnam:
So Peum is definitely the most factory style but I think it's fine for less invasive treatments. I booked my appointment the same day as the other clinic I had an appointment for did not have any specials on aqua peels. I accidentally went to the wrong clinic so was super late to my appointment but was called pretty quickly for a consultation.
Consultation: During the consultation a translator take you the consultation area where a consultant asks you what problems you're concerned about and then recommended some treatments. I was wary of Peum due to past reviews of it being very factory style so I was very sure I just wanted an aqua peel. They weren't pushy with the other treatments and didn't seem to have a problem with me getting just a aqua peel. That might also be because they know it was my 2nd day in Seoul and I didn't want to look red for the rest of my trip so it wasn't practical for me to get anything invasive anyways.
Billing: There's another area for billing they took me to to pay for the treatment. They didn't cut the tax until I reminded them but they do have kiosks for duty free tax in the clinic if you wanted to do it after. I recommend making them take it out during the billing, cause those machines generally will give you a refund to your desired card after you leave the country, and that seems a bit unreliable. It costed me $23.80 in total for the aqua peel. The price was actually $14(19,000 won) but with taxes and some other clinic fees it came out to be $23.80. They do add some random fees(don't remember what they are) so the prices are a bit misleading.
Treatment: You first go to the "cleansing zone" where you wash your face before the treatment and can put your stuff in the lockers. Then they take you to the treatment area which basically a line of cubicles. The person who does the treatment usually does not speak english but they call someone if you have any questions. They did a pretty thorough job with the aqua peel and ended the treatment with a moisturizing mask. The only annoying part was that they left the mask for over 20 mins and didn't really check in to see if I'm done.
Post Treatment/Results: I didn't really see a massive change in my skin. It did feel a bit smooth, hydrated and maybe a bit glowy. Also, an active pimple did calm down a bit but thats about it. Even after a week later, my face looked pretty much the same as before. However, I was left with a red mark on my nose for 2 days, most probably cause they used too much suction on my nose.
Conclusion: I spent a total of 1.5 hours in the clinic and I think for the price point and overall experience, its worth it if you want to try out an aqua peel as a facial or a clean up. However, I would rather invest that time in another more invasive treatment that gives better results like a chemical peel that costs just a bit more. But if you are looking for something not invasive and safe, an aqua peel is a great started. Also, Peum as a clinic I think is fine, it wasn't as shady or unprofessional as I expected it to be, but I did only get a aqua peel so can't speak for any other treatments.

I’ve been using the Inkey list SA cleanser for ~2 months now and my skin is still reacting badly to it (dry skin esp on my nose, plus skin is more congested in general) with no real benefit. What I wanted out of it was chemical exfoliation and oil control. Even when I’ve cut down to using it only a few times a week, the problems persist. I’ve read you should give it a few months to work and that your skin may react badly before things get better, but is it time to throw in the towel?
FYI my routine has no other actives in it except retinol once a week (which I cut down on because of the above issues).

The Start (1948-1989)
In 1948, the Soviet union was searching for a good island, until one day a group of fishers living at the coast of Russia, the fishers reported it to their local government, this started a small expedition of the island by Soviet scouts.
Eventually the Soviets purposed this island to be a "good" island for a possible American invasion of Alaska, Canada, Mainland USA, and maybe even some small islands in the pacific. The USSR first built a fort on a smaller island next to the large island, which they named Fort Ronograd, which is how the island got its name, then the USSR built a huge port near the fort, and made a city which was supposed to be a part of the Fort to inhabit the soilders, and their wifes, but it was later purposed as a normal city to house normal people.
In 1962, a U2 spy plane heading to main land Russia, from Alaska discovered a large island with a lot of activity, this was not normal as the USA never found any islands there, and confirmed that the Soviets were inhabiting a new island, the United States feared another missile crisis, so for now the Air Force and the CIA kept shut.
Meanwhile the Soviets did some tomfoolery ( Kafala System ) , and started putting Nuclear Weapons to the island. Then they build another city ( Sochronia City ) to house the incoming immigrants going into the island, multiple other settlements were also made ( Village ), then the Soviets made a quarry so people can be employed, and a Nuclear Energy Facility for once again employement.
So now the Soviets were like " Holy Moly, we can actually make this island effective, so they made a large Broadcasting station on the highest point on the island, to contact the Kremlin much more easily.
In 1966 Global Defense Alliance was formed for the manufacturing of clothing.
So the USA was like panicking right now, as they found out that the USSR had put nuclear weapons on the island, and where in range of Alaska, and Washington State, due to this president Nixon ordered a naval blockade by a Aircraft Carrier near the island, for an attempt to stop shipments going to the island. Right now the Soviets were pissed, so they were like " USA we will take our nukes away, but you guys stop a naval blockade on our supplies ", then the USA was like " Alright fine, but only unless we can still patrol the island, to ensure you guys don't bring nukes ", then the USSR was like " Yeah sure- " and then the Americans were like " Oh yeah, and we have to search all your ships ".

You see, a lot of the people living there, were soilders recruited by the USSR, and they were like, " Uh uh, you guys are not controlling us, we will remain communist ", so what happened is that these soilders created a group, to attempt to liberate themselves.
in the year 1992, a PMC was formed called Non-Tactical.
Meet the POD, a terrorist group originating from Sacramento, California. This organization is made up of agents, that were either fired from their jobs, went rogue, or just didn't like their country, These agents were from intelligence agencies like , the CIA, MI6, and much more.
So the RLF caught the attention of the POD, and they were like " RLF do you guys want independence? " and they were like " Hell yes ", and the POD was like " We can help you guys"
Eventually the RLF made a deal with the POD that they will supply, and help them revolt against Russia.
But secretly, the POD were using the RLF, because they had a plan to make a nuke filled with chemical agents (ICBM) , and then launch it to New York, because the island was just in range, and this is because the Soviets left behind multiple silos, that were abandoned.
Enter the year 2000, and that is the year when the Russians built a manmade island, that was a designated Airport, and Military Airbase. Before that everything was either supplied with boats, or small aircraft landing on airfields.
In the year 2004, multiple attacks were done, as other terror attacks, Russian Forces have put up with this and declared Martial Law in Ronograd, which saw Russian Army Personnel patrolling Ronograd, and its multiple cities.
In 2013, a large attack made by the RLF, and POD was seen on the FOB, which caused the base to fall to POD and RLF hands, Russian Forces retreated, and contacted the Aircraft Carrier which they almost never contacted.
A group of Russian Spetznaz stationed on the island, and Navy SEALS from the Aircraft Carrier were formed, and called themselves the " Shadow Warriors ", these volunteers were put on the legendary Operation Shadow Raid, and took the FOB back from the RLF, and POD.
Later a UN conference was held in Prague, Czech Republic, the conference ended in the making of a coalition named Platinum Five, which was a Task Force, built up of multiple armies around the world, and some Special Forces.
After these events, in 2023 a bunker was found with a possible silo, which was found from enemy intel.
The Bad Ending:
The Bad ending resulted in the launch of the ICBM.
The Good Ending:
The Good ending resulted in the ICBM being disarmed.

Its pretty self-explanatory, the country of your choice takes down a POD outpost in the Middle-East.

The Start (1948-1989)
In 1948, the Soviet union was searching for a good island, until one day a group of fishers living at the coast of Russia, the fishers reported it to their local government, this started a small expedition of the island by Soviet scouts.
Eventually the Soviets purposed this island to be a "good" island for a possible American invasion of Alaska, Canada, Mainland USA, and maybe even some small islands in the pacific. The USSR first built a fort on a smaller island next to the large island, which they named Fort Ronograd, which is how the island got its name, then the USSR built a huge port near the fort, and made a city which was supposed to be a part of the Fort to inhabit the soilders, and their wifes, but it was later purposed as a normal city to house normal people.
In 1962, a U2 spy plane heading to main land Russia, from Alaska discovered a large island with a lot of activity, this was not normal as the USA never found any islands there, and confirmed that the Soviets were inhabiting a new island, the United States feared another missile crisis, so for now the Air Force and the CIA kept shut.
Meanwhile the Soviets did some tomfoolery ( Kafala System ) , and started putting Nuclear Weapons to the island. Then they build another city ( Sochronia City ) to house the incoming immigrants going into the island, multiple other settlements were also made ( Village ), then the Soviets made a quarry so people can be employed, and a Nuclear Energy Facility for once again employement.
So now the Soviets were like " Holy Moly, we can actually make this island effective, so they made a large Broadcasting station on the highest point on the island, to contact the Kremlin much more easily.
In 1966 Global Defense Alliance was formed for the manufacturing of clothing.
So the USA was like panicking right now, as they found out that the USSR had put nuclear weapons on the island, and where in range of Alaska, and Washington State, due to this president Nixon ordered a naval blockade by a Aircraft Carrier near the island, for an attempt to stop shipments going to the island. Right now the Soviets were pissed, so they were like " USA we will take our nukes away, but you guys stop a naval blockade on our supplies ", then the USA was like " Alright fine, but only unless we can still patrol the island, to ensure you guys don't bring nukes ", then the USSR was like " Yeah sure- " and then the Americans were like " Oh yeah, and we have to search all your ships ".

I've been playing this game for about 4 months and put in around 120 hours in that time. I love it, it's the first shooter I've actually enjoyed playing frequently since CoD MW2.
I cannot help but feel, however, that there's some things that could be done, especially to heavy weapons call-downs, that would improve gameplay, or simply make each system more versatile or interesting to play with.
So I give you a rough idea of so-called "Versitility upgrades"
Airburst Rocket Launcher: HEAT Submunitions- reduces submunition count by 50% in favor of larger anti-armor submunition (Medium armor)
Thermobaric Warhead: Replaced submunitions with a single, powerful high-explosive Incendiary warhead (DoT, deploys a small AoE burning similar to Incendiary impact with a primary blast similar in size to an impact grenade)
Autocannon:
SAPHE munitions: Reduces armor penetration for an increase to area of effect explosive
Enhance Combat Optic: Increases FoV and zoom for increased ADS time
Anti-Material Rifle
SLAP: Removes all HE damage and decreases damage overall in favor of firing a sub-caliber tungsten sabot (Highest penetration available)
Magazine Webbing: increases reload capacity by 50%
Arc Thrower:
Flux capacitor: Reduces cool-down between firing for the cost of reduced range

Flash flooding in northern Afghanistan killed 300+ people and destroyed 1,000+ homes. Hundreds of thousands of others have been affected. Last month, similar floods in the region killed 70+. Four died in Texas storms last week as well.
Venezuela is suffering from record wildfires, which so far this year have burned about 5M acres—almost the size of Sardinia. Some experts think indigenous people started the blaze as an attempt at forest clearance, which quickly got out of hand. “Institutional failures” compounded the disaster when the ailing government responded with an inadequate number of poorly equipped firefighters. Another study from last week examined the impact of wildfires on soil health.

The largest catastrophe was the February 7.8 earthquake in Türkiye & Syria, which killed 59,000+ people and caused $163B+ in damage. France is growing more concerned about a dam on Lake Geneva, controlled exclusively by Switzerland. The Rhône River, which begins in Switzerland and flows south through France, is shrinking in summers as climate change melts Switzerland’s remaining glaciers.
The Tonlé San River has been dammed in Vietnam, lowering the level in Cambodia and sometimes drying the river downstream entirely. Meanwhile, China’s lychee harvest is getting blasted by rain, impacting the world’s largest source of lychee. And, once again, Saudi Arabia is suffering flooding in its inland regions. 7 dead in historic flooding in Iran.
The eminent climate scientist James Hansen posted that, since “human-made aerosols and their cooling effect are in decline,” the cooling effect of La Niña will be counterbalanced by these rising temperatures. He also identifies a “large anomaly of increased absorbed solar radiation at midlatitudes in the Northern Hemisphere” responsible for rising temperatures there. CO2 levels are rising faster today than they have at any point in the previous 50,000 years…and a study of millennia-old trees determined last summer was the hottest worldwide in 2,000+ years…
Record nighttime May temperatures were tied in the Philippines and Vietnam. A couple Indonesian cities broke records for May temperatures. And a number of southern African states saw more records drop. And Toronto saw a record tied for the number of days reaching 14 °C (57 °F). A heat wave has returned to Bangladesh. Flooding in Cali (pop: 2.9M), Colombia.
The University of Washington was ordered to stop a geoengineering project that scientists sere conducting from the deck of a decommissioned aircraft carrier. The experiment ejected aerosolized saltwater in an attempt to reflect solar radiation. A comparative study in Nature Communications of a number of carbon pricing found that, yes, carbon pricing does work to reduce the total CO2 emitted.

At least ⅛ of Europeans live in a place at risk of extreme flooding—so says a 175-page report from the European Environment Agency posted on Wednesday. The number of people living in flood-risk coastal areas in the EU & UK is expected to jump 24% by 2050. The paper claims the real cost (in USD) is about 6x greater. They claim “global temperature has much more pronounced impacts on economic activity than local temperature” and that extreme weather is mostly behind the projected decline in productivity.

Other epidemiologists are worried about how cattle may become a permanent reservoir for H5N1. Growing traced of bird flu have been found in wastewater testing in the U.S., but investigators think it may be runoff from infected dairy farms.
Obesity, high blood sugar, and high blood pressure rates today globally are 50% higher than in 2000—though researchers claim that air pollution still poses a larger threat. Of a study participants in Hawai’i, 75% had respiratory issues, probably from the Maui wildfires last year.
The 2024 World Migration Report is out, and its 384 pages are not as apocalyptic as one might think. However, internally displaced people are at their all-time highest. India, Mexico, Russia, China, and Syria lead the world in emigrants; another document contains the definitions for who exactly constitutes a migrant. Unfortunately much of the data relied upon ends in 2022. Data from this year, not included in the above report, indicates a 40% jump in traffic through the Darien Gap compared to the same time period in 2023.

An fMRI study found lasting neurological changes in COVID survivors; they “had significantly higher cognitive complaints of mental fatigue and cognitive failure….even two years after recovering.” Experts say a summer rise in COVID cases is coming to the United States.
A study on The Canadian/American Great Lakes found that PFAS levels are increasing in the 3 largest lakes (Superior, Huron, and Michigan), while decreasing in the other two (Erie, Ontario). The study also found that precipitation is the primary means by which the Lakes are accumulating PFAS, since the chemicals are small & stable enough to move through the water cycle. The number of people living in flood-risk coastal areas in the EU & UK is expected to jump 24% by 2050. The main setting is the city of Neone, located somewhere on the coast of the Balkan Peninsula. I won't specify a particular place or pick a certain country for its location. Instead, I will take some features from some various ones to add local flavor. They can’t be the accidental results. As the most important perception of human bodies, vision provides more information than that provided by all other perceptions. The vision is the perception of image and space and the visual organs must have the most precise and accurate structure completely different from other sensory organs. As a result, in the perspective of the embryo-genesis or neuro-anatomy, the main structure of the eyes is not just the common receptor. Instead, it is part of the cerebral cortex. The so-called optic nerves are completely different from other cerebrospinal nerves. But you cannot say the carpenter and the table have the same origin. Human benings’ understand of the God is only limited to the enlightenment from the God to the humans. Otherwise, humans cannot understand the mystery of God’s nature. The God says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” (Exodus 3:14 and Revelation 1:8). For the God, there is only the eternality, and there is no time, beginning or ending. Even in the scientific field, too many analogizing questions won’t be tolerated. One scholar was talking about the belief in the God with his students. Till now, we cannot find an answer to this question. The atomic physicists are now working hard to find the “elementary particle”. They are called “basic particles” because the scientists don’t expect the substances to be divided limitlessly. So they believe that one day they will find the ultimate component, the “elementary particle”. Of course, the scientists will not ask such question of “what is something composed of?” This is the extremity and everything ends here.
