2024.05.19 12:36 sootybearz UTI and possible kidney infection 4 weeks now

UTI / possible kidney infection around 4 weeks
Male 45 UK. UTI, possible (but I’d guess from pain around there) kidney infection. Advice needed
Around 4 weeks ago I started to get some pains around mid and lower back area on right hand side. This seemed to then spread and I felt the pain both sides as well as on the front and down sides. Started to then get shivers about 4 days in then 6th day really bad shivers, no heat in my hands, even numbness on one of my forearms, night sweats, headaches, nausea feeling etc. On checking urine that day at start it was quite cloudy and dark and over the day I was running to toilet quite a bit.
Next day I’d had enough and as it was weekend went to out of hours docs for NHS and was told after dip test they found “plus one” for white blood cells in urine, this was after about 6 toilet breaks already that day and drinking around 1.5 litres of water so maybe things were diluted. They didn’t do any culture tests etc as out of hours only have so many options. I was put on antibiotics for a week which took away the worst / weirder of the symptoms to the point that I was only left with the pain and pain was primarily on right side again but not always. Was getting it just above belly button on both sides at one time or another but again mainly right front and back.
The day after finishing the first antibiotic pain started to build again so went back to out of hours again 2 days after they ended as it was a bank holiday weekend. They gave me another week course but asked me to go to gp right away next day. I did so and brought a urine sample, at this point id finished the first antibiotic about 2.5 days before and had started the second set and had a full days dose the day before. They did a culture test from that day. Anyway the urine sample didn’t grow anything during the culture test which may be down to the antibiotics as I’d finished the first set some days ago and started second set day before - I really don’t know - but apparently pus was found in the sample. What amount I’m not sure.
I continued to take the second antibiotic course and towards the end I felt the pain reducing further. The day after it finished I was quite hopeful it was dealt with as pain had subsided so much and I was actually peeing without having to push, normal feeling was back in my lower abdomen- but it was short lived as the day after that it got a bit worse again and continued to do so.
Those second antibiotics had completed last sunday, I left it till Friday to go back to the doctors because I wanted a proper urine sample without antibiotics affecting it. I went in Friday, when I took the sample there was stuff floating everywhere, the worst I’d seen so far. Even though the doctor did a dip test and nothing showed so I’m freaking that they won’t detect what it is. Doctor then gave me a 3rd antibiotic, I’ve taken two and a half days now and still feel a bit numb down below, hesitations at times going toilet so having to push a bit, and pain up around back and kidney areas and around and below navel. All these symptoms had mostly vanished for a short spell after the second antibiotic but back again.
At this point even though I’m not even halfway on this 3rd but different set I’m thinking going private to a urologist who could see me Wednesday. I tried taking d mannose Friday for day and a half but pain around kidney area seemed to get worse so stopped so I can tell if it’s infection related or simply taking that also.
Anyone got any words of wisdom to give, I feel like being on antibiotics a week at a time and then having a few days or more till next one is allowing things to go back to square one again. I’m really hoping I can just get over this now quickly somehow. Supposed to be taking a week holiday with the family in 8 days but starting to lose hope and don’t know if it’s great idea bejng away from local doctors etc.

2024.05.19 12:34 AestheticallyAnn Chronic Pain & other Neurological symptoms

Since roughly 2013 I have been going through some pretty severe health issues. It began with my body hurting all over, mainly my hips, legs and knees. At this time I had no idea what was causing the symptoms & had basically become strictly bed ridden from 2013-2020, and even then I still preferred to stay in bed because my pain is so overwhelming some days, but due to my living situation at that time I had no other choice & had to learn to live with the pain. I will say moving around a lot more did help, but also not being in a toxic stressful situation helped me a lot as well. I've noticed stress is my major flair up symptom.
Anyways, in about 2020 I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease. It took me multiple, countless attempts to even get a doctor to do this test on me because prior to this all the doctors I saw regarding my pain would just shrug it off due to my age, I am currently 29/yo F. They also would constantly just say that I was overweight, when majority of my weight gain was due to the fact I am constantly in so much pain. Prior to this condition I was very lively, walked everywhere & just overall enjoyed life. This disease has changed me into someone completely different....
Another common reason doctors refused to do testing on me was because "You have a big chest so majority of your pain is coming from that" (my bra is literally a size 38B..... So sorry doc, but don't think that's the case either)
Anyways, after finally finding a doctor to take me seriously she began me on an antibiotic for a month. After that month, no resolve in my symptoms, so she went to Doxycycline. Sadly, my symptoms still didn't get better so she referred me to the Lyme specialist in the city 30min away from where I currently live. Sadly, due to my situation I didn't have a way to get to the specialist until mid 2023.
After seeing the specialist he put me on 2 more rounds of antibiotics with no resolve & stated if I came back with no improvements he would want to do a spinal tap to ensure the Lyme disease had not gotten to my brain. This was extremely terrifying to hear.
After this I went though a dark period in my life due to my family doctor refusing to help treat my pain. My previous Dr had me on Gabapentin, but sadly moved locations and my new doctor denied continuing to keep me on that medication even though I stared it worked well for my condition.
I currently am now on 120mg methadone, but that is not even helping the pain sadly. Shit heroin didn't even help the pain, so now I'm left feeling crippled, slowly feeling my abilities to walk drifting away & then to top that off since being on methadone I've developed new GI symptoms, as well as an increase in my neurological symptoms.
Does anyone know any other ways to help with this pain? I just want to live a normal life, do normal things & be happy, but right now that seems impossible. It makes me so upset because I don't even recall ever being bit by a tick, constantly have people telling me I am too young to be in so much pain & overall find people are highly inconsiderate of my issues due to my physical appearance. It leaves me hopeless & feeling completely alone. It's the worst having family and friends argue with me and just call me lazy, when I am really just in so much pain that even the slightest pressure on my legs, hips or spine makes me almost go into tears. Sometimes it even feels like cold water running down my leg or tingly. Occasionally I feel this in the back of my head & the left side of my chest as well, which is new and highly concerning, yet my doctor didn't seem to care about that one either.
I feel like I'm going to end up dying if I can't find some way to resolve this pain & stop the progression of my Lyme disease :( anyone have any natural ways to heal myself?

2024.05.19 12:20 AfternoonOne13 My boyfriend (26M) discussed our fight with his parents, now they think I (28F) am not good for him.

This is my first post here. My partner and I have been together a little over a year. We’re both in the military, but he has been deployed since January and will come back in July. A week ago he was allowed to come back for a week as a holiday leave.
We were planning on moving in together after he got back from his deployment, but due to my roommate moving out and me not being able to afford the rent on my own we agreed that I should look for an apartment for the both of us and he would move in with me after his deployment. In February I found an apartment to which he also agreed after seeing it on video, and I moved in by myself in April. I was able to take some furniture from the old apartment, but we still needed some essentials like a couch, chairs and dining table. We agreed on these items online and through video call and already ordered them since I would already be living at the apartment.
Our big fight happened two weeks before his return over the dining table. For context, we live on the second floor and there is no elevator in the building. When the table arrived the delivery company refused to carry it upstairs (for insurance reasons apparently) and it was too heavy to carry it by myself. Luckily I got help from my neighbors, but it was still a hard task as the table is made out of massive wood. I then set up the table by myself and immediately video called my partner to show him the table. After I showed him the table from all angles he declared he didn’t like it and I should pack it back up and send it back. Barely recovered from all the heavy lifting we just did I told him I wasn’t keen on going through that again, and suggested we wait until he got back for his holiday so that he could see the table for himself and then send it back together if he still wanted to do so. The return policy was 30 working days and he would be back way before that. He said he didn’t want to wait so he could immediately order a new table so that it would arrive in time before he got back for his holiday, that way the apartment would be completely “ready” for his arrival. The discussion got out of hand after that, I reminded him that I had taken care of everything in the apartment so far and told him I didn’t appreciate his attitude, that I felt like he was taking the easy way out being away and coming back to an apartment that was completely ready without having to lift the finger. He said I was being difficult and didn’t think that he was asking a lot, he said if the roles were reversed, he would take care of everything because that’s what partners are supposed to do. We discussed some more back-and-forth, but the main points were that I didn’t feel appreciated for all the work I had done for the apartment so far and he didn’t feel the need to be appreciative as he saw this as normal within a relationship.
The next day, he talked to his parents and reported back to me what they said, I never asked for this information. His mom apparently completely agrees with him, she thinks I’m being unreasonable and is of the opinion that if you’re in a relationship, you do everything for each other without questioning it. His dad said that he didn’t want to see him make the same mistake that he made with his ex by staying in a relationship that’s not good for him. They also said some things about me personally, like how it’s noticeable that I grew up an only child and feel like I need to have everything my way. This hurt me a lot as I thought I had a good relationship with his parents. I went on holiday with them multiple times and never noticed any tensions. The remark about me being an only child is especially painful as they know my brother passed away when I was a child. He said he thinks his parents are wrong about the part of me being not good for him, but agrees with everything else they said. Honestly, at that point I wondered whether I was making a mistake with moving in together, but I decided it would be best to wait until he got back for his holiday and discuss everything face-to-face.
His mom came over a week later to bring all his clothes and stuff that he still had at their place, his aunt was there as well. I could feel a cold vibe from his mom, but his aunt was being very friendly and she even brought me a small housewarming gift. When they were getting ready to leave, his aunt already went to sit in the car while his mom hovered by the doorway. She then said that she still likes me and feels bad about the whole situation, she said it was all a big misunderstanding and said she wanted to talk it out soon.
Last week, I picked up my partner from the base for his leave. When we arrived at the apartment he was in awe of it. We talked it out and he told me that he regrets discussing our fight with his parents, he said he wanted to make a point and he admitted exaggerating the story to make me look bad. He said that he will do everything in his power to restore my relationship with his parents, as their approval of me is extremely important to him. On Monday we said our goodbyes again for the last phase of his deployment, but I can’t help lying awake at night ruminating over everything that happened the last few weeks. I’m scared this ordeal has completely spoiled the relationship with my inlaws, but I also feel like my trust has been broken. I’ve had multiple relationships, but I’ve never seen myself grow old with someone before I met him. I’ve never had a child wish or wanted to marry, until I met him. I sincerely love him and want to build a future with him, I do believe he feels the same as he has always said he dates to marry and we even already discussed a timeline of getting married and starting a family.
I’m scared that my partner will one day feel like he has to choose between me and his family, and that’s a choice I will not put him through. Am I being unreasonable? Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? I just need some perspective. His mom also still hasn’t reached out to talk about what happened, even though she said she wanted to. Should I be the one reaching out to her? I feel like an apology is due from her side, therefore I don’t think I should be the one to reach out.
TL;DR! - He discussed our fight with his parents, they said some not so nice things about me. I’m having mixed feelings about my relationship now.

🔗Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Active Jacket - Black

Recently, I purchased the Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Active Jacket, and I'm quite satisfied with its performance. As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, it's important for me to have a jacket that's not only durable but also well-insulated and wind-resistant. This active jacket did not disappoint.
The first thing that caught my attention when I received the jacket was the 3M Thinsulate insulation, which provides excellent warmth without feeling too bulky. I'm particularly fond of the hood design, featuring a drawcord and reflective Carhartt patch. The hood not only keeps me protected from rain and snow but also ensures visibility during nighttime activities.
However, one area where the jacket could be improved is its zipper quality. While the plastic zipper works fine, I'm more accustomed to metal zippers, which are generally more reliable and durable. In addition, the jacket can be somewhat noisy when walking due to the swishy fabric sound - not ideal for hunting purposes.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I believe the Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Active Jacket is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable and well-insulated winter coat. Its attractive design, variety of pockets, and comfortable fit make it a versatile option for both recreational activities and daily life. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase and believe many others will be too.

These Carhartt Washed Duck Insulated Coveralls provided a comfortable and practical solution for my work needs. The quilted nylon lining and midweight polyester insulation kept me warm on chilly days without causing me to overheat.
The heavyweight cotton duck fabric was durable and had a broken-in feel, well-suited for outdoor construction tasks. The ankle-to-waist zippers and full front zipper made it easy to put on and take off, while the nine pockets and reinforced kick panels offered ample storage and protection.
The ribbed storm cuffs, comfortflex waistband, bi-swing back, and pleated elbows ensured a comfortable fit and easy movement. Although it was a bit difficult to get to the pants' pockets without reaching through, overall, I found these coveralls to be of great quality, durability, and warmth.

🔗Carhartt Flame-Resistant Twill Coveralls with Comfort Flex Waistband - Belt Loops

As someone who's tried these Carhartt Flame-Resistant Loose Fit Twill coveralls out in the field, I must say, they truly shine when it comes to safety and comfort. These coveralls, equipped with flame-resistant twill, offer the perfect balance of style and function for those working with arcs and flames.
One of the standout features is the two-way zip front, featuring a storm flap and high-temperature resistant FR zipper tape. It effortlessly opens up to reveal a comfortable loose fit, accentuated by a stretchy comfort flex waistband. The adjustable waistband not only ensures a snug fit but also allows for ease of movement with the back yoke featuring pleats.
The added element of safety is taken into consideration with the chest pockets, which are both secure and convenient. They come with flaps and a hook & loop closure that keeps valuable items safe without compromising on accessibility. And don't forget about the UL classification to NFPA 2112 – it's a testament to the coveralls' commitment to keeping its wearers safe from potential hazards.
While there are a few minor issues, such as the occasional need for adjusting sizes based on inseam lengths, overall, these Carhartt coveralls have been a reliable addition to my work wardrobe. From their practical design to their emphasis on safety, they have proven to be a worthy investment in the long run.

🔗Superior Insulated Coveralls for Extreme Weather

As a reviewer who recently tried the Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Coveralls, I was impressed by the level of warmth they provide. Working in chilly conditions, I found the 3M Thinsulate insulation to be a game-changer, keeping me toasty even on the coldest days. The wind resistance and waterproofing also proved effective, as I dealt with harsh gusts and rain.
However, one downside was the fit; I had to size up to get the extra room I needed for layering underneath. Despite this minor inconvenience, I would recommend this coverall to anyone working in extreme cold conditions and seeking reliable protection.

🔗Carhartt Men's Yukon Insulated Biberall: Thinsulate Insulation and Reflective Tape for Cold Weather Comfort

https://preview.redd.it/bg24fhjwzc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5f3862f20f801711829627fac09084d35729c7f
Windy days used to mean a chilly workplace, but now, thanks to the Carhartt Yukon Extremes, I'm snug and cozy even when the wind is howling. The Thinsulate insulation was a game-changer. One day, I was working in the freezing cold, and I was amazed that I didn't feel the chill. The water-repellent construction has also been my savior. One day, I accidentally splash some water during my work, and to my delight, my bib didn't soak it up. My visibility was also boosted by the reflective taping, making my outdoor activities a lot safer.
The Wind Fighter technology did an excellent job keeping the wind at bay, even in the harshest conditions. However, I felt that the Rain Defender wasn't living up to its name. On one occasion, I encountered some heavy rain, and to my disappointment, some water seeped in through the bib. I appreciate the adjustable elastic suspenders for their convenience, but I noticed they weren't as sturdy as I would have liked.
Overall, the Carhartt Yukon Extremes bib is a reliable choice for those who need a combination of warmth and protection. Despite the minor drawbacks, it has been my go-to for outdoor tasks on chilly days.

🔗Carhartt Women's Yukon Insulated Coverall: Ultimate Cold Weather Protection

As a cold weather enthusiast, I've tried the Carhartt Yukon Extreme Coveralls and let me tell you, they are an absolute game-changer in the winter season! The first thing I noticed was their sleek design, perfect for those who need a practical yet stylish outfit to face the cold. The zipper closure was a breeze to use, and the 6.5-ounce, 500-denier Cordura nylon shell offered a robust protection from harsh weather conditions.
One of the features that truly stood out to me was the 150g 3M Thinsulate insulation, ensuring that I could confidently venture into the heart of winter without shivering. The 3M Scotchlite Carbon Black reflective taping on the center back and double front also provided extra safety when I was out in low-light conditions.
The Wind Fighter technology and Rain Defender durable water repellent (DWR) gave me the peace of mind that I could withstand some light rain without feeling soaked. The triple-stitched main seams, center front zipper, and rib-knit storm cuffs provided all the reinforcements needed to shield me from the wind.
However, there were a couple of cons that I couldn't overlook. Firstly, the coveralls were a bit restrictive in terms of movement, making it difficult to perform certain tasks. Secondly, the sizing seemed a bit off, and finding the perfect fit was quite the challenge.
Overall, the Carhartt Yukon Insulated Coverall is a fantastic option for anyone looking for protection from the chilliest weather. It may not be perfect, but it undeniably gets the job done and makes me feel like a winter warrior out on the field.

🔗Workrite Coveralls - Lightweight, Breathable, and Flame Resistant

https://preview.redd.it/gy1cfdaxzc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=948280e288f730c9a77e1ec51a580f378bc78177
I recently had the opportunity to wear the Carhartt Men's Flame Resistant Force Loose Fit Lightweight Coverall on a typical workday. Firstly, its distinctive Breathable honeycomb weave fabric stood out, offering me great all-day comfort. This lightweight coverall also passed crucial performance requirements and was classified to NFPA 2112, showcasing its effectiveness at protecting wearers against hazards.
The Force technology was particularly impressive, as it efficiently wicked away sweat and helped the garment dry fast, preventing any unpleasant odors from sticking around. Moreover, this coverall kept me cool throughout the day thanks to the FastDry technology, which I found extremely convenient.
In terms of construction, this coverall was built with an anti-static, colorfast fabric that was wrinkle-resistant and conveniently featured a two-way front zipper with a secure storm flap. It also had two secure chest pockets perfect for storing small essentials.
The comfort flex waistband provided increased comfort, and the back yoke with pleats ensured ease of movement. This versatile workwear also boasted multiple utility pockets for added storage, an adjustable sleeve cuff with snap closure, and ankle-to-knee leg openings that fit nicely over boots.
However, after a long day in the Carhartt Coverall, I realized it wasn't as convenient as I hoped when it came to ledge pockets. Accessing the lower-front ledge pockets was slightly challenging with a side-entry pass-through. Nonetheless, I appreciated the attention to detail through the addition of NFPA 2112 and FR labels on the left-chest pocket.
In conclusion, the Carhartt Men's Flame Resistant Force Loose Fit Lightweight Coverall proved to be a reliable garment in providing essential protection and functionality at work. Despite the slight drawback with the ledge pockets, overall it's a practical and comfortable choice for those looking for top-notch flame-resistant workwear.

🔗Flame Resistant Carhartt Coveralls for Comfort and Protection

I've been using these Carhartt flame resistant coveralls for quite some time, and I must say, they've proven to be incredibly durable and comfortable. One of my favorite features is their 100% cotton material, which makes them perfect for a variety of outdoor tasks. However, I've noticed that they can be a bit warm during the summer months.
Despite this little inconvenience, the coveralls' overall quality is top-notch. The spread collar and multiple pockets have made it convenient for me to carry my tools while on the go. The zipper closure ensures a secure fit, while the machine wash feature makes cleaning a breeze.
What truly sets these coveralls apart is their Carhartt FR label, which guarantees compliance with NFPA 70 E standards and UL Classification to NFPA 2112. This additional layer of safety is something I appreciate when working on high-risk projects.
In all honesty, I'm really happy with my experience using these Carhartt coveralls, and I'm confident they'll continue to serve me well in the future. If you're in the market for a high-quality, comfortable, and functional piece of workwear, I would definitely recommend giving these a try.

2024.05.19 12:17 PossibleEffective504 Is there any hope? (m, 26)

I am in a pretty bad condition since i had a severe throat infection (probably covid) in august 2022.
I had severe productive cough for weeks , and after it finally got better, I constantly cough in the morning and have globus sensation and pain in my throat throughout the whole day.
Since then visited several doctors, had 3 endoscopies, pH Testing, and several more tests.
They saw some inflammations in my lower esophagus and 1 doctor saw that my sphincter isnt closing properly.
My ph Testing came back normal.
They put me on PPI for 3 months but all i got was stomach cramps, and it didnt help at all.
After half a year of pain i read some studies that pregabaline and xanax helps to reduce the nerve pain so i considered it worth a try especially since all the doctors didnt know anything else to try apart from PPI.
Surprisingly my symptoms got better on 3x150mg pregabaline and 3x0.5mg alprazolame daily so i stayed on them.
What also generally seemed to help is drinking less generally (went from 2 L of water a day to maybe 1 L) and also eating less and only 3 times per day.
Eating less and less is hard though bc i am already only 70kg on 6’1ft.
Unfortunately i always have a lot of ups and downs with my symptoms.
Sometimes i am good for weeks, even months - longest period without severe symptoms was around 4 months at the beginning of this year.
But the last 4 weeks have been horrible again.
Waking up with severe throat pain, coughing in the morning, then feeling the throat pain throughout the day.
I was also thinking it might have something to do with me using my voice too much. I used to work in a remote sales job and i had 3-4 hours of zoom meetings a day with me mostly talking.
But i switched my job and now it is maybe 1 hour of talking per day, sometimes less.
However i dont really feel better.
I know im hooked on the benzos and pregabaline but since they help atleast sometimes i dont wanna wean off of them and also i am not abusing them for getting high. I see them purely as medicine and dont take more than what im taking everyday.
I just feel hopeless because i always have these phases where i feel really bad.
Past 4 weeks have been horrible.
I dont even know what is causing those flare ups since i dont change my lifestyle.
Only issue i could think of is maybe mental stress.
I havent held a special diet - i lived very healthy all my life. No smoking, barely any processed food.
Mostly plain natural foods (rice, beans, beef, chicken, eggs, butter, green vegetables).
The worst part about it is that i feel like i cant even enjoy social activities when i have the flareups. I just feel like sleeping all day. Since talking a lot also seems to make it worse.
Anyone can relate?
Btw i find it interesting that barely anyone talks about the positive effects of pregabaline and lowdose benzos.
Without them i dont know where i would be today. They have brought me weeks and months witth barely any symptoms.
I think as long as there is no effective medicine against LPR yet, doctors should focus on pain reduction.
Benzos and pregabaline work 6/10, sometimes well sometimes not at all.
I wonder if opiates would do a better job but i am worried about a possible opiate addiction. I would definitely need any success stories before starting with them. Also considering the side effects.

2024.05.19 12:17 TypeAtryingtoB Not sure if the zits I'm popping are hormonal acne? And if it matters if I pop them at all [acne]

TLDR: not sure if the large zits on my jawline and neck that happen before my period are cystic? They do come to a head. Having a hard time not touching those huge painful zits, especially when stressed.
I've been really good about not picking at any skin as I get older. J fortunately, I'm 31 and still dealing with acne and have been since I was 14. I hope that one day I'll figure it out through diet and lifestyle, but doing the best I can.
When I leave the zits alone, they do tend to leave PIH, but I just keep pimple patching and spit treating as much as I can. Some very obvious whiteheads I'll use a hot compress and sterile needle to drain them, but lately I've had some lately hormonal acne, and I do think it's due to the caffeine in an energy drink phase during ovulation week this month.
I had this one hormonal spot that popped up yesterday and it was hard and sore to the touch. I feel like if I let it sit for a day, it would have came to a head, but I was feeling a bit stressed and couldn't resist the urge to pop it because it felt so sore. There was no head, but the skin was taught, shiny, and swollen and I could see the pore that had been stretched. I gently squeezed and BOOM, explosion 💥 onto the mirror. It had so much pressure built up. I immediately put a pimple patch on and it looks pretty much non existent today.
I'm really struggling with how to not squeeze when stressed, especially those pressurized zits, because they are so so satisfying.

2024.05.19 12:01 djynnslayer jolting awake while trying to sleep

probably going to be a long post, sorry in advance. had them a few times tn so i’m a little scattered
in december or january of this year i woke up when i was just getting to sleep and felt like my heart was melting- super hot, not beating, just liquidated. it happened once, i put it out of mind for several months, and then in late february while writing a paper for class I had a numbness around my heart, left arm, and shoulder.
as i was very busy the next day i ignored it and went to class like normal but it felt almost pinched, not painful but very uncomfortable and if i sat or laid down wrong i felt it would stop beating. this got progressively worse in class to the point where i had a 15 second episode of sweating, nausea, dizziness, dread, and numbness in both arms. when i went to the ER they found nothing wrong after testing just about everything + a chest X ray. said it was stress and shuffled me out with heartburn meds and painkillers.
since then they seem to come and go every few weeks. maybe a month later those episodes of jolting up in the night resumed. they’re never the same. at one point i had around 7 in one night and just kept going back to sleep and ignoring them, and one day i had just one and was a nervous wreck the next day, couldn’t go to class. i felt sometimes my heart was not beating, or it was hot, or my chest was hollow, or all the air had suddenly been sucked out of me (which is the kind i’m having now). they last one second or less and 9 times out of ten i roll over seconds later if i even sit up at all. the “panic” part isn’t there.
after going to another doctors appointment they again said it must be panic attacks and had me take sertraline and hydroxyzine. to my understanding these are for general anxiety and stopping panic attacks WHICH ARE NOT APPLICABLE TO ME! i’m literally able to have one, feel my heartbeat and confirm i’m not short of breath, and go back to sleep. it’s done in one second, i don’t need a pill to stop it.
after that appointment in march they’ve been infrequent or so mild i question whether i even had one, but tonight i’ve had 3 after trying to sleep for 2 hours. each time i feel like there’s no air in my lungs and i have a strong shock, sit up, and find i’m not short of breath and my heartbeat is normal. i feel like i’ve been misdiagnosed and there is something physically wrong with me, in my heart or lungs or maybe even my brain. can anyone tell me if this actually fits the bill for a panic attack? i’ve had the kind everyone talks about before, i understood the causes, and they resolved on their own. i’ve found absolutely nothing on them being like this.
for context i am 21M, in good shape, the most unhealthy things about me is i go to bed at 4 most nights and vape more than i’d like to.
tl;dr: symptoms are unlike anything i can find on the internet, think i’ve been misdiagnosed. looking for similar experiences or guidance

🔗Carhartt Insulated Bib Coveralls - Black

https://preview.redd.it/3lqxox98wc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d58c986f3e63d0b85b879ea08cc613b33f2713d7
These Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Insulated Coveralls have been my go-to choice for work and outdoor activities. The cotton material has a comfortable and almost broken-in feel right out of the box, making them perfect for long hours on the job. Plus, the quilted nylon lining with midweight polyester insulation keeps me warm even in the coldest temperatures.
One thing I noticed, though, was the adjustable closure. It's great that it's adjustable, but I found it a bit tricky to find the right fit. And while the full-length two-way zipper with storm flap is helpful for easy on and off, the brushed tricot trim on the interior collar doesn't seem to stay tucked in as I'd like.
Overall, I'd say these coveralls are a solid choice for a rugged, insulated workwear with some minor adjustments needed.

🔗Carhartt Insulated Bibs: Warm and Durable Work Coveralls

https://preview.redd.it/jj6di5r8wc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a6b1a530525c9afb9168552bdfb6a9bdce671d2
The Carhartt insulated coveralls are the perfect addition to my work wardrobe. The 12-ounce, 100% ringspun washed cotton duck fabric feels both durable and comfortable, allowing me to focus on the task at hand without any distractions from my clothing. One of the features that stood out to me was the quilted nylon lining, which provides a midweight polyester insulation that helps me stay warm during the colder months without overheating.
While the ankle-to-waist zippers are convenient for easy entry, I found it a bit cumbersome to reach the pockets of my work pants underneath the coveralls. Additionally, the 360-degree kick panels make it easy to keep out the cold, but I wish they had a two-way function for a more comfortable fit. Overall, I believe the Carhartt insulated coveralls have a lot of potential, and with a few improvements, they could become even more versatile and comfortable for those of us who work long hours outdoors.

🔗Carhartt Firm Duck Insulated Bibs: Rugged and Breathable Workwear

https://preview.redd.it/vobepd69wc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ebe26aa44ac667d9771db7cf09577d9ad767f947
These Carhartt Loose Fit Firm Duck Insulated Bibs are a dependable companion for those who work hard, play hard, or love to stay warm in various weather conditions. The quilted nylon lining around the waist area ensures easy on and off, while the polyester insulation provides mid-range warmth.
The bib pockets are useful and practical, with plenty of room for your belongings. Despite the occasional fussiness with the pockets, reviewers have praised this bib's durability, ease of movement, and smart design aspects.
It's been a consistent, hardworking favorite in their wardrobe, which speaks volumes about its value and the confidence one can have in Carhartt's craftsmanship.

🔗Carhartt's Flame-Resistant Quilt-Lined Duck Bib Overall - High-Quality, Heavy Fabric Workwear

https://preview.redd.it/3xpz36k9wc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0d0a2ea78f45059d665896afcdce05589fb8f013
During my journey of using the Carhartt flame-resistant duck bib overall, I found myself in situations where I needed to put it through some tests. After wearing it for a few weeks, I noticed that it met the expectations for durability and warmth, as it's designed for cold weather work. The bib overall had a high back with elastic suspenders and center-release buckles, which improved its longevity by providing sturdiness. However, I also noticed that it lacked a few features that would have made it more comfortable, such as a soft fabric lining.
Through my experience, I have discovered that this bib overall is great for those who need flame resistance and warmth in their workwear. While it might not be the most comfortable option, it does offer a level of protection and durability that many other options cannot match. Additionally, I have found that it's suitable for people who are taller, as the leg zippers go ankle to thigh, providing enough room for easy on and off. Nonetheless, it is essential to follow safety precautions and take proper care of the bib overall so that it serves its purpose effectively.

🔗Warm and Durable Carhartt Duck Bib Overall with Insulation and Tool Pockets

https://preview.redd.it/yj8rxtv9wc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=380e35b3aea36f7512f13b41e07cd2f444a6434d
I recently had the chance to try out these Carhartt Brown Duck Bib Overalls with a quilt-lined design. First off, let me say that I was impressed with its durability right out of the box - it felt heavily built and sturdy, perfect for tackling any task on hand. The quilted lining made it an ideal choice for colder months, keeping me warm and comfortable even when the temperatures dipped.
One of the key features that stood out for me was the zip-to-knee leg zippers. It made getting in and out of them a breeze, especially when I needed to switch between tasks or remove them quickly during a break. Plus, the fact that it accommodates kneepads was a huge plus, offering great protection for my knees and back.
However, one downside I noticed was the zipper on the back left pocket. It seemed to stick occasionally and wouldn't close properly, resulting in a bit of hassle when I needed to access the tools stored inside. The pocket design also wasn't as deep as I would have preferred, which made it more challenging to hold larger items.
Despite that, my overall experience with these quality Carhartt bibs was quite positive. The water-repellency ensured that I stayed dry even when working in damp environments, and the adjustable front-elastic suspender ensured a comfortable, customized fit. With a robust construction and multiple pockets that proved to be quite useful during my work, these bibs were a great addition to my collection.

🔗Carhartt Insulated Bib Overalls: Durable and Comfortable Winter Workwear

I recently had the chance to try out the Carhartt R02 Bib Overalls and I must say, they exceeded my expectations. Constructed with a mid-weight nylon quilted to polyester lining, these bib overalls are perfect for cold weather. The high back with elastic suspenders and leg zippers with protective wind flaps and snap closure make them both comfortable and functional.
One of my favorite features is the ample storage provided by the hammer loop and ruler pocket on the left leg, and the tool pocket in the right leg. The addition of metal rivets at stress points and double knees with clean out bottoms also adds value to the product. While the reversed leg pocket configuration may take some getting used to, overall, the Carhartt R02 Bib Overalls are a great investment for those who want warmth and durability in their workwear.

2024.05.19 11:57 thunderchaud Purple Mattress Nightmare

Hello all!
For anyone considering a purple mattress, just don't. As I'm typing this, I've currently been awake since 4am after being woken up. This mattress is complete garbage. My wife and I purchased a purple 4 from mattress firm outlet back in 2020. It was pretty good for maybe a year? But after that it became complete shit. It was hard to justify purchasing a new mattress after spending so much on this one, but tonight I think I've finally reached my breaking point.
For the better part of probably 2 years, the mattress has sagged horribly to the point where I am feeling near constant pain in my hips and shoulders. I am to the point where I dread sleep, because it's not pleasant. Almost immediately when I lay down, I start feeling pain and need to attempt to support myself with more pillows. However, the mattress is so sunken it puts you in some awkward positions and creates more pain.
This is a fair warning for all of you mattress shopping. I WILL NEVER buy a mattress from another online bed in a box company in my life, especially from a garbage company with a garbage product like purple. For the price, this mattress was a complete waste of money needing replacing after only 1.5 - 2 years. Save your money

🔗Camo Insulated Rugged Flex Men's Jacket: Comfort, Durability & Mossy Oak Pattern

https://preview.redd.it/lqwwde0gvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3bf382b76ec9dd3560e9e10a00dcf6289ff1a360
My Carhartt Men's Rugged Flex Duck Camo Active Jacket has been a game-changer in my hunting adventures. I've been using it for the past three hunting seasons, and it's been nothing short of amazing. The first thing that caught my attention was its durability; it's held up against some harsh weather conditions. The Rugged Flex stretch technology and elbow pleats allow for easy movement, which is crucial when I'm tracking down my prey.
One of the most impressive features is the DWR finish that provides excellent water resistance. It's kept me dry even during unexpected downpours. The Mossy Oak Bottomland camo pattern truly helps me blend in with my surroundings, making it easier to stay hidden from my quarry.
However, there are few things that could use some improvement. The loose fit means I sometimes experience a bit of wind coming up, but it's not too much of an issue. Additionally, while the zipper quality is solid, it could be slightly longer, as suggested by other reviewers.
Overall, the Carhartt Men's Rugged Flex Duck Camo Active Jacket has been a reliable companion on my hunts, protecting me from the elements and enabling me to focus on the task at hand. If you're in the market for a well-constructed and comfortable hunting jacket, this one should definitely be on your radar.

🔗Carhartt Classic Brown Duck Coat with Corduroy Collar

A couple of years ago, I purchased the Carhartt Men's Firm Duck Chore Coat for myself when I was gearing up for a cold and windy construction project. The first thing that stood out to me about this coat was its heritage-inspired design, reminiscent of the pocket watch era. As time went on, I had the opportunity to test its claims of being water-repellent and wind-resistant, and I can confirm that it lived up to my expectations, even in harsh conditions.
One significant highlight of the Carhartt Chore Coat is its corduroy collar, which has been in use since the late 1930s and has that classic, timeless look. Additionally, the rugged firm-hand duck fabric not only gives it a sturdy feel but also becomes more comfortable with time, making it a reliable piece of outerwear.
As much as I love this coat, it does have a couple of drawbacks. Firstly, the length of the sleeves can be a bit too long for some users, with some having to size down to ensure a comfortable fit. Secondly, the coat's collar could be slightly wider to provide better protection against the wind.
In conclusion, the Carhartt Firm Duck Chore Coat is the perfect choice for those who prioritize comfort, warmth, and durability in their outerwear. Its timeless design and high-quality materials make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking for a reliable coat that will stand the test of time.

🔗Carhartt Rain Defender Fleece Shirt Jacket

I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Rain Defender Relaxed Fit Hooded Shirt Jacket in Black Heather and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer in my daily life. As an avid outdoorsman, I appreciate the flexibility of this jacket - it's suitable for various weather conditions.
One thing that really stood out for me was the adjustable hood, which ensures good visibility even during a downpour. The high collar also provides additional protection against the elements.
Another highlight is its durability. The Windfighter fleece, combined with the Rain Defender finish, makes it wind and water-resistant, while its triple-stitched main seams add extra strength. Notably, there are ample pockets for all my essentials.
However, there's one issue I encountered with the hood design. It can feel awkward if worn with a cap, though a beanie or hard hat doesn't pose the same problem.
In terms of sizing, I found that the medium size fits perfectly, providing enough room for layering without compromising on comfort. The length of this jacket is another praiseworthy feature - it's just right, even without the 'tall' version.
Lastly, while it's not technically a winter jacket, I believe that with some insulation, it could be the perfect companion in winter. Overall, the Carhartt Rain Defender is a reliable go-to for various weather conditions, offering comfort, durability, and functionality.

🔗Carhartt Men's Lightweight Hooded Jacket

I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Lightweight Mock-Neck Jacket and I must say, I'm quite impressed. The jacket provides excellent protection against wind and light rain, making it perfect for those chilly days when you're outdoors. It's a great piece to layer up with during mild winters.
One of the standout features of this jacket is its flexibility. Thanks to the Rugged Flex stretch technology, I can move freely without any hindrance - whether I'm running errands or engaging in some physical activity. The wind-resistant fabric ensures that my body stays warm even when there's a chill in the air.
However, there's one drawback that I've noticed - the collar. It feels a bit too large and tends to get in the way while turning my head. It would be great if Carhartt could address this issue in future models.
In terms of pocket storage, this jacket delivers as well. There are several secure zipper pockets both inside and outside, allowing me to safely stow away my essentials like tools or supplies.
Overall, the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Lightweight Mock-Neck Jacket has become a staple in my daily outdoor wear. Its lightweight design, coupled with its wind and water resistance, make it a practical choice for anyone who spends time outdoors. Despite the minor issue with the collar, I'm highly satisfied with this jacket.

🔗Carhartt Realtreed Xtra Camo Sherpa Lined Active Jacket

https://preview.redd.it/qo0me0ohvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=119c6715543338880779bc3fcf9bb6e35bebc6c9
Carhartt's Men's Super Dux Relaxed Fit Sherpa-Lined Camo Active Jacket is a warm and durable piece of outerwear that's perfect for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts alike. I recently purchased one in Mossy Oak Bottomland Camo, and I must say, it has quickly become my go-to jacket for all my outdoor adventures.
The first thing that struck me was the quality of this jacket. The 18.1-ounce, 97% nylon/3% elastane fabric feels sturdy and well-made, offering excellent wind resistance and a sprinkle of light rain protection. The Sherpa lining inside is incredibly soft and cozy, keeping me warm even on the chilliest days.
One aspect I particularly love about this jacket is its spacious interior pocket. It comfortably holds my essentials without weighing me down or restricting my movement. The secure zipper left chest pocket is another useful feature, providing an easy-to-access spot for my phone and keys while I'm out and about.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks to the Carhartt Men's Super Dux Jacket that I think are worth mentioning. Firstly, the adjustable hood with a hidden drawcord and cord lock is a nice touch for safety, but I've found that it can be a bit difficult to adjust while wearing gloves. Secondly, the lack of elbow or armpit gussets means that the jacket doesn't always move with me as smoothly as I'd like, especially when reaching or lifting objects.
Despite these small issues, I'm overall very satisfied with my Carhartt Men's Super Dux Relaxed Fit Sherpa-Lined Camo Active Jacket. Its comfort, durability, and practical features make it a standout choice for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors.

🔗Carhartt Washed Duck Insulated Active Jacket

https://preview.redd.it/4bdckzxhvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36a6bbe7e0c8d9b493a04c4249b5b155cca4c5fb
As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, I have to say that the Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Insulated Active Jacket has been a game-changer for me. I've had this jacket for several months now and it has held up incredibly well.
What stands out the most to me about this jacket is the heavyweight cotton duck fabric. It's not only warm and durable, but it also has a nice, broken-in feel to it that makes it super comfortable to wear. The 3M Thinsulate insulation adds an extra layer of warmth without making the jacket too bulky or heavy.
One feature I really appreciate is the attached hood with low profile adjustment. On windy days, this hood helps keep me protected and warm. Plus, the cord locks make it easy to adjust the fit without having to deal with annoying drawstrings.
Another positive aspect of this jacket is the updated lower front pockets. They're now lined with brushed tricot, which makes them feel much softer and more comfortable against my skin. And when I'm out working in the cold, I love how the pen stall in the right, lower front pocket lets me keep all my essentials close at hand.
However, there is one aspect of this jacket that could use some improvement - the side pockets. They could definitely be deeper, as they don't provide enough room for storing larger items like smartphones or wallets when you're on the move.
Overall, the Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Insulated Active Jacket is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable, and stylish cold weather jacket. The durability and thoughtful design features make it well worth the investment, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

🔗Carhartt Super Dux Insulated Jacket for Men

https://preview.redd.it/a8870zgivc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e730e82932cb7e639a5ab1bf179935b5175c57ce
The Carhartt Men's Super Dux Relaxed Fit Insulated Jacket was my go-to for those chilly days. On my latest project in the backyard, the wind was relentless and the rain was coming down hard, but this jacket held its own. The 100-gram Thinsulate insulation kept me toasty and the Rain Defender technology ensured I stayed dry.
One of my favorite features was the Rugged Flex technology that allowed for unrestricted movement. The bi-swing shoulders and flexible elbows made reaching up high or bending over a much easier task. I never felt trapped in the jacket, even when I was getting really active. The hood was also a game-changer, able to protect my head not only from the rain but also from the wind. Plus, the detachable feature was super convenient - I could remove it on warmer days or when I needed to interact with someone face-to-face.
However, I noticed that the interior storm cuffs were loose and didn't keep out the draft as well as I'd like. And while the length was perfect for my needs, it might not suit everyone. Despite these issues, the jacket's high-quality construction, impressive warmth, and rugged design made it a reliable addition to my wardrobe for those harsh conditions.

🔗Carhartt Men's Yukon Extremes Insulated Active Jacket - Black

https://preview.redd.it/dgjxdyqivc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38aea4fb9e9855187f660b64af25d37d392586f3

🔗Carhartt Youth Canvas Insulated Hooded Jacket - Mossy Oak Country DNA

https://preview.redd.it/h1pq5j6jvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a97cea9c48e41af642305cb09c6436c6033c7afd
I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of Carhartt - especially their Camo line. That's why I decided to get this Canvas Insulated Hooded Jacket for my son. Let me tell you, it has been a game changer this hunting season!
First off, the quality is top-notch. This jacket is made with heavy-duty canvas and features triple-stitched seams. Even after several washes, it still looks brand new. The quilted flannel lining on the inside also ensures that my boy stays warm and comfortable no matter how cold it is outside.
One of my favorite features of this jacket is the hidden rib-knit cuffs. They keep his wrists toasty and make sure no wind or sleet sneaks in. Plus, the insulated front pockets are perfect for storing his hands or keeping small gear close at hand while he's out in the field.
Now, let's talk about the hood. It's full zip, so it provides ample protection against rain, snow, or even those pesky mosquitoes during summer months. And speaking of zipping, the main zipper is high quality and doesn't get stuck or catch on the fabric.
While the jacket isn't water-resistant, it does dry relatively quickly when hung up, making it easy to clean and maintain. The only downside I've noticed is that the sleeve length could be a bit longer, especially if your child is taller than average.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this Camo Canvas Insulated Hooded Jacket from Carhartt. It has everything a young hunter could want - durability, comfort, and style. If you're looking for a reliable and well-made jacket for your little outdoorsman (or outdoorswoman), look no further than this one.

🔗Carhartt Gilliam Insulated Jacket

https://preview.redd.it/nkwzggnjvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8ac560b72162b731e103f7cc19c56e940946dfda
I recently got my hands on the Carhartt Men's Black Gilliam Jacket and oh boy, it's been a game-changer for my daily life! This insulated jacket is not just about keeping you warm during winter, but also about providing you with some real protection from unwanted dampness. The DWR finish ensures that you stay dry and comfortable even when the weather takes a turn.
One thing I truly appreciate is the zipper closure feature. It's a small detail, yet it does an excellent job of keeping out the cold winds. Speaking of features, it comes with heaps of pockets - some even have protective closures. This means you can carry all your small work essentials without worrying about losing them.
Now, let's talk about the cons. Though I'm not usually bothered by minor issues, I must say the length of the sleeves could be a bit longer. It may not be a problem for everyone, but it did catch my eye.
All in all, the Gilliam Jacket has definitely earned a place in my wardrobe. Its water-repellent capabilities, the myriad of pockets, and the overall comfort it provides make it the perfect companion for these colder days. So if you're looking for a reliable work jacket that doesn't compromise on style or functionality, this one's a solid choice!

🔗Carhartt Men's Full Swing Steel Jacket in Black

https://preview.redd.it/ed4oog2kvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c64e5eca091121737bcf3d52378aee0819058f35
I've been using this Carhartt Men's Full Swing Steel Jacket for a while now, and I must say, it's been a reliable companion through the colder months. Its 3M Thinsulate insulation keeps me warm and cozy even during the harshest winters, and the DWR finish makes sure I stay dry even when caught in a rainstorm.
One of my favorite features is the detachable hood. It gives me personalized styling options depending on my mood or weather conditions. The jacket's rugged construction is also worth highlighting, as it's made of stretch ripstop for extra flexibility and freedom of movement.
However, I've experienced some issues with the zipper quality. It can sometimes get stuck or hang at every little wrinkle, which can be quite frustrating. Another minor issue is the sizing, as the jacket tends to run on the smaller side, but that's easily fixed by choosing a size larger than usual.
All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the Carhartt Men's Full Swing Steel Jacket. Its combination of style, comfort, and functionality makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a versatile and reliable winter jacket.

🔗Carhartt Men's Super Dux Traditional Insulated Coat (Black) - Relaxed Fit, Machine Wash

https://preview.redd.it/or65m7dkvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=223f52063a4f689bc57b66eea80b81090db51c79
I recently purchased the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Insulated Traditional Coat to stay warm during those chilly winter days. The coat's 7.75-ounce nylon fabric is treated with Rain Defender durable water-repellent finish, ensuring that I stay dry even in heavy rain. Additionally, the Wind Fighter technology effectively blocks the wind, keeping me cozy and comfortable.
One of my favorite features of this coat is the quilt-lined insulation with 100g of 3M Thinsulate, providing excellent warmth. The secure hook-and-loop right chest pocket and zipper left chest pocket are perfect for storing my essentials, while the two snap front lower pockets with side entry hand warmers keep my hands toasty. The interior hook-and-look pocket on the wearer's left side offers additional storage space.
I also appreciate the drop-tail hem, which provides extra coverage, and the adjustable hood with chin guard and hidden drawstrings, which protect me from harsh weather conditions. The rib-knit storm cuffs effectively seal out the cold, and the center-front zipper with kissing welt makes it easy for me to put on and take off the coat.
However, there are a few downsides to this coat. The side seam zippers, while providing added movement, can be a bit challenging to use at times. Additionally, the double-stitched main seam, although durable, can feel a bit stiff and may require some breaking in.
In conclusion, the Carhartt Super Dux Relaxed Fit Insulated Traditional Coat is an excellent choice for those looking for a reliable and warm coat for winter. Its unique combination of features, such as the 7.75-ounce nylon fabric with Rain Defender technology, Wind Fighter technology, and 100g of 3M Thinsulate insulation, ensures that you stay dry and warm in even the harshest weather conditions.
Although there are a few minor drawbacks, such as the stiffness of the double-stitched main seam and the occasional difficulty in using the side seam zippers, these issues do not significantly detract from the overall quality and performance of the coat. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this coat to anyone looking for a high-quality winter garment.

🔗Black Men's Rough Cut Jacket by Carhartt

https://preview.redd.it/czaf3k2lvc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcc3b43f556beb9649b5c230cd8000bbf290a97c
Carhartt's men's Rough Cut Jacket, in black, is perfect for those chilly autumn days. This heavyweight flannel piece, with a sherpa fleece lining in its body and a quilted lining on the sleeves, offers both warmth and style. The original-fit shirt-jac features handwarmer pockets and zippered ones ideal for storing your wallet or keys. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, this jacket can withstand the elements, and after years of use, you'd be hard pressed to find any significant wear and tear on it. Although it's designed primarily for breathability and not as a standalone layer for keeping warm, it pairs beautifully with fleece or down mid-layers.
However, despite its high rating, the jacket does have a few minor drawbacks. The first is that the zipper tends to get stuck, particularly near the neck area, often requiring fiddling for a few minutes. Some users also mentioned they found the arms to be slightly short, as well as the jacket being slightly stiff when new. But these issues seem to be more common with the first batch, with newer models appearing to have resolved these concerns.
In conclusion, the Carhartt men's Rough Cut Jacket is a high-quality, stylish option that provides warmth and comfort while maintaining a sleek appearance. Its wind resistance and pairing ability with other layers make it an ideal choice for fall and winter outings. And although the stiffness and the issue with the zipper might be present initially, they seem to resolve with time and use. Therefore, I would recommend this jacket to anyone seeking a reliable, durable option for their outdoor activities.

  1. Durable Materials: Look for jackets made with heavy-duty materials such as cotton duck or polyester, ensuring they can withstand harsh hunting environments and regular wear.
  2. Insulation: Insulation is crucial for maintaining warmth and comfort in cold weather. Consider water-repellent insulation like Thinsulate™ or Quick Dry technology, which dries faster than traditional materials.
  3. Pockets and Storage: Pockets are essential for storing gear and easy access during hunts. Choose a jacket with multiple pockets (including interior and exterior), preferably with zippers or toggle closures to secure items.
  4. Ventilation: Proper ventilation helps regulate body temperature and prevent overheating. Look for jackets with vents, mesh panels, or breathable materials that allow airflow.

Considerations

  1. Weather Conditions: Consider the typical weather conditions of your hunting location. If it's usually cold and wet, opt for a waterproof and insulated jacket. For milder conditions, a lightweight jacket with good ventilation might be sufficient.
  2. Camouflage Patterns: Choose a camo pattern that blends well with the environment where you'll be hunting. Some popular options include RealTree AP, Mossy Oak, and Carhartt's proprietary camo designs.
  3. Fit and Comfort: Ensure the jacket fits well without restricting movement. Consider adjustable features such as cuffs, waistbands, and collar for added comfort and customizability.
  4. Safety Features: High visibility elements like reflective trims and bright colors can enhance your visibility and safety in low light conditions or near roads and highways.

General Advice

  1. Read Customer Reviews: Read reviews from other hunters to get valuable insights about the performance and reliability of specific Carhartt Hunting Jacket models.
  2. Invest in Quality: Although high-quality Carhartt Hunting Jackets may have a higher price tag, their durability and performance make them a worthwhile investment for serious hunters.
  3. Regular Maintenance: Clean and dry your jacket according to the manufacturer's instructions to maintain its water-repellent properties and extend its lifespan.
By considering important features, weighing relevant considerations, and following general advice, you can make an informed decision when choosing the perfect Carhartt Hunting Jacket for your unique needs and preferences.

2024.05.19 11:52 easypixels 27M Blurred vision and photophobia

Hi, six months ago I noticed my vision was getting blurry at the end of the day (I work on computer). Six months later after seeing two eyes specialists I'm waiting for my glasses to be ready but the blurring is now almost permanent (one week ago it completely left for a week though I don't know why) and I can't stand in sunlight, so I can't drive or work, I don't know what to do. I'm using artifical tears that work on a random basis, yesterday I was seeing almost crystal clear after I put them, but now I just put them and it does nothing. Everytime I use them though I have the same symptom as when I look at light - my eardrum sticks and unsticks (it's hard to explain because I've heard it's not common and even doctors look at me like a mad man when I tell them) - but exacerbated for like 5 minutes, which is painful.
I don't know what to do I can't live normally anymore it became dangerous to practice my passion (hiking) but it's driving me crazy that I can't have a normal life anymore.

2024.05.19 11:46 aw4lk-thru-h3ll The bad fights

There were often bad fights but three stand out
The night the table got nailed to the floor. He nailed the legs back on a table he broke
But was drunk and nailed the table upside down to the floor
He lost is shit
So she put us in the car and we went to delta sonic for a super kiss. They just had regular soap back then but it was cool
Later on was when the whale figurine got thrown and nearly broke the 60 gallon saltwater tank
That time we went delta sonic had the blue foam
It was so pretty and we had such a good time looking at it and thinking about that instead of the chaos and pain
We went there a lot
But you know what my family is fucking crazy sure
But none of us is as batshit as our Karen neighbor
Who called the cops bc she was afraid the boat in the driveway was gonna fall off the trailer and somehow slide all the way across the street with no water
And crash into her living room through the picture window
And nobody is as insane as the neighbor who chewed me out for grabbing a leaf off a treee
A 5 year old… with adhd
Screamed at
Don’t yell at kids that aren’t yours thanks
I have so much trauma from strangers pulling that “if u don’t teach ur kid I will” shit in the 90s
It doesn’t take a village
If you’re not their parent
Shut all the way up

2024.05.19 11:42 WitchyMagik It’s been 8 months

It’s been 8 months
I lost my family cat last September, 8 days after his 10th birthday. The year before, in 2022, my great-grandma and I took him to an emergency vet 2 hours away because he was bloated and you could just tell he was in terrible pain. We weren’t ready to let go and my family paid $1,400 to get crystals in his urinary tract removed. We also got prescription cat food to hopefully prevent this from happening again. The vet let us know it’s normal for male cats and if it happened again it’d be best to put him down.
I remember the next few days when he came home from the vet I was so happy he was home and alive but I had to keep him all drugged up on pain meds for the next week. I felt horrible having to chase him down everyday and give him meds and I had to keep re-wrapping his paw where the IV was put in or he would lick it raw.
Fast forward a year and the same thing happens. I was living further from my family so I got the call from my mom that he was trying his hardest to use the litter-box but nothing was coming out and he was slowly getting more and more bloated. I knew it was time to let him go. I waited until the next morning (by the time my mom called it was 9 at night and I just finished a 10 hours shift) and I was going to be the one to take him to the vet. My mom and sister were crying when I showed up and we all gathered around the litter-box one more time for one last try and you could just tell he was trying his hardest but just couldn’t and it was painful. Luckily, it wasn’t to the point of pain that it had gotten to before but I had to be the person of the family saying “it’s time, I’m sorry” while also holding back tears.
It hurts, I knew it was coming and I still cried so much and felt so guilty. Typing this all out I’m looking at the pictures and videos I got that day and I’m so lucky I was able to be there and give him a little more comfort before he was taken by the vet. There’s some days I can’t believe he’s gone and visiting my parents’ house feels a bit dimmer but I’m so happy he was able to go with dignity. He was my buddy, I wish I had more time with him.
(this is the last picture I got before the vet came in)

2024.05.19 11:38 Main_Star2546 Game Abby is too Sociopathic, Hypocritical and Violent to be Likeable (and why there's a chance the show will change this).

The primary criticism levied against Abby is that she is Joel's killer. TLOU had set up Joel and Ellie to be the main characters of the franchise and it was incredibly jarring to see a new character come out of the blue and quickly murder one of them, while irreparably changing the focus of the other. While a valid criticism, this post is not addressing this. It is instead aiming to analyse Abby's character and her choices throughout the story, and outline why they do not make her a "likeable" character.
To put it forwardly, Abby is a sociopath. While Joel is certainly not a saint, Abby is portrayed as somebody who is cold, uncaring and can revel in cruelty. Some of the most notable points highlighting this include:
  1. She tortures Joel to death. It would be perfectly understandable if she had simply executed him on the spot, especially given the reveal of her backstory later. However, she undergoes the decision to draw out his pain and kill him in the most brutal and sadistic way possible. After blowing off his leg, she has Mel apply a tourniquet so that she can keep him alive and continue to make him suffer as she beats him to death. She is only stops because her crewmates eventually felt it had gone long enough. The implication is that she would have continued to torture Joel, including in front of Ellie, as long as she wanted. This action can be sympathetic to some, but there is no way it can in any way be viewed as moral or justifiable.
  2. There is a revelation in the game's dialogue that she had previously tortured Scars to blow off some steam. This clearly demonstrates that her behaviour with Joel was not exceptional. She is somebody who regularly engages in this practice for her own satisfaction.
  3. She sleeps with the partner of her best friend, who is pregnant. Mel had travelled with her to a remote part of the country while pregnant and risking the life of her child to ensure that she could support Abby. There was also a discussion of potentially starting a fight with Tommy's group prior to killing Joel, indicating that violence and a risk of injury and death were anticipated. Regardless of these sacrifices, Abby still allowed her own interests and desires to outweigh the trust and friendship of Mel. She grieved at the death of Mel and Owen but mostly at their loss. She did not display remorse over the fact that she had hurt Mel when she was alive.
  4. Abby appears to take pleasure in the idea of slitting a pregnant woman's throat, specifically acknowledging that she is pregnant. This is just outright disturbing. It is almost universally accepted this is taboo, and there are even examples of animals in nature who know that there is something wrong with killing a pregnant creature. While one could definitely envision Abby killing a pregnant woman *in spite* of the fact that she is pregnant, the idea of her taking any pleasure from knowledge of this fact, even if out of spite, is horrendous.
  5. Abby betrays the WLF, an organisation which she had become a key member and trusted companion of, in order to protect a stranger she had recently met, and decided that she wanted to protect. While it is understandable that she may have had moral hesitations to kill Lev, this may not immediately justify her killing off many of those she once considered friends and companions, and who had provided for her.
  6. Perhaps most importantly, Abby does not reflect on how her newfound choice to protect Lev have essentially made her into a mirror of Joel. In choosing to become a guardian for Lev, she slaughters many of her own people because she protects the new person she has chosen to care about. Her journey to protect Lev strongly mirrors what Joel had done to protect Ellie from the Fireflies. Yet, in spite of this, Abby does not come to reflect on how her journey should make her more empathetic to the man who had hurt her. The main point of the game is empathy, but Abby's conscience is fully set on the idea that Joel is an unforgiveable, unrepentant murderer who took away somebody close to her, but that her own actions are thoroughly justified and immune to any form of scrutiny. She pays no heed to the fact that her actions may have just made many more traumatised Abbys. Additionally, while it would be surprising and probably unrealistic to see Abby wish she could take killing Joel back, she never once acknowledges how her actions traumatised Ellie the same way Joel had traumatised her. As far as she is concerned, she was always right to kill Joel, and any attempts by Ellie to do what she had done, even if for the same reasons, are wrong.
A combination of the above make Abby far too unlikeable. I believe that it there is a strong chance that many of these factors could be watered down or retconned in the new show, if part II is actually played by those working on the show who had no prior experience with the franchise.
  1. Abby may not deliberately and slowly torture Joel to death. It is probably more likely that she will just bash him to death in a fit of rage. Alternatively, if this part of the story is kept it will be mitigated by other changes.
  2. Any reference to Abby torturing random Scars will most likely be removed. Alternatively, it could be changed to killing Scars to blow off steam.
  3. The sex scene will likely be retained (I have zero faith Neil Druckmann will let it be cut), but she will probably show more remorse for it.
  4. This part will most likely be changed to Abby saying "an eye for an eye" or "so was Mel", as opposed to "good".
  5. Abby will be highly hesitant at first to kill her own people, but will gradually become numb to it similarly to the game. This is arguably the most forgivable point (audiences miss this sort of thing all the time unless they want to pick on a story) so it probably won't be changed much.
  6. There's a 50/50 chance this could be changed. In all honesty, given the events of TLOU Pt. II it feels almost as if the setup for some genuine character growth for Abby was made but eventually cut because of "executive decisions". It would definitely tie into the message of empathy that the game is supposed to invoke. However, once again noting Neil Druckmann and his tendency to make bad decisions out of spite, there's always the chance that this again could be missed.
These mark many of the arguments I noticed that people had made against Abby's character, and what could probably be changed in the show given how prolific they are.

2024.05.19 11:29 barudoatale5678 I (26M) live with my parents (50s). They recently forced me to help my uncle, at the cost of my career advancement. I don't know how to express how furious I am with them now without acting ungrateful.

I work for a tech company, and I am EXTREMELY privileged to have this work-from-home position considering I dont have my degree yet. My boss was extremely happy for me and wanted to promote me to a higher level, and obviously I was very excited. I was disabled for quite a bit, I have an auto immune disease that causes very painful joint damage and I spent 5 years in extreme pain and only recently got it under control. But in the past year, things have been looking up, in terms of my new job and my new prospects and all. I got A+ grades before I dropped out because of my disease, and my job gave me a chance. A very, very situational chance. Again, I didn't have a degree, and their hiring me was a 'risk' according to my boss. But he saw my grades and knew about my disease and wanted to take a risk on me.
But I live with my parents. They are kind of old-school catholic italian types. My dad is a bit of a snoozer but my mom is very aggressive. My dad mostly just does what my mom says. I love them dont get me wrong, they have put up with a lot with me, but they are completely clueless in terms of how a lot of things work. They know about my disease and barely act like it matters. They just... dont really get that I have a legit disease. Its always been an issue with them. When I have a flare up and have trouble walking up the stairs, my mom always yells "WHATS WRONG WITH YOU!!?" as if she hasn't heard it a million times. They just don't get what it means to be chronically ill. They always say that 'im a healthy young guy' and all that. Whenever I mention that I have a disease they brush it off and say that ill get over it or that they also have arthritis. I have sat them down a million times. They get it. Temporarily. And then some time goes by and they suddenly act as if they don't know what a chronic disease is. Its been a constant struggle.
Anyways. Three weeks ago my parents asked me to go to my uncles place in upstate new york to move all his stuff out. I told them, repeatedly, please no, get movers. I said, explicitly, I cannot do this, I have inflammation in my joints, I cannot be lifting couches and beds. I gave them numbers for movers, over and over. I even said I would pay for them. They just did not listen. At all. The night before, I had told my mother,
"I told you for two weeks i cant do this, and gave you other options, even options I would pay for"
and she got so furious with me she threatened to kick me out. Shrieking at me and calling me lazy and worthless. So I went to my uncles, and I tried to help. And I did kind of help a bit.... but I had no wifi. The entire time. And I couldn't work. I tried to leave and my mom threatened to kick me out if I left, even just to go to the local dunkin donuts to connect to wifi. And working at my uncles... it was horrific. It was lifting so much stuff constantly. I work out, almost every day, to keep my muscles ready for joint damage. I am a pretty muscular guy. Even then this destroyed me. It was lifting couch after couch, bed after bed, I was broken.
At the end, I missed out on 5 days of work. I barely connected to my job from isolated visits to a local dunkin donuts and they sort of told me things were okay, but that they want me back to work. When I got back after the 5 days, my job was beyond furious at me and basically demoted me. From a job I was about to get a promotion from, they were so mad that they effectively demoted me. I had told them ahead of time, but I thought it was 1-2 days of work, not 5 days of work. My mother INSISTED it was 2, MAYBE 3 days. After the second day she kept on telling me I would be kicked out if I didn't keep on working. She was screaming at me relentlessly saying how I rely on her for a home. She kept on bringing up how my uncle was disabled, with his severe sciatica... but nothing about my problems, of course.
I just... don't even know where to begin. My parents have fucked me over before, but this? Its a totally different level. I have nothing but hatred in my heart for them right now. And yet I have no option but to live with them. I just... want them to understand what they did to me. I don't even know. I just feel so angry. So, so angry. I literally feel nothing but depressive anger inside of me. I cant even do my hobbies. I cant work out, i cant play video games with my friends, I cant play chess. And yet, I rely on them for a home. I cant express anger. I also cant move out, housing prices here (Boston area) are insane and now? I definitely don't earn enough to move out.
What am I supposed to do?
TL;DR - - My parents destroyed my chance at a career and I just don't know what to do.

2024.05.19 11:27 Business-Elevator428 My (27f) bf (27m) doesn’t want sex

We’ve been together for almost a year and it’s never been frequent. We have sex maybe once a month and rarely twice a month. At worst two months. In the beginning it was a little closer to every other week but he’s been going through a lot so I chalked it up to stress. In the past year, he got injured and had to quit his sport to heal. He has gained some weight. I am very attracted to him and it makes no difference to me but he has expressed being unhappy with his body. He also purchased a home, we are in CA and it is not cheap. He is definitely feeling having no savings right now. He also was two years sober on his own and had a relapse week. He took it seriously and got help, going through treatment and outpatient and counseling and AA now. He’s doing great and I am also proud of how he’s handled he relapse. It’s been a lot for him, he doesn’t put it on me but I know it has been.
He says he is very attracted to me, and when I ask if I can do anything more or different he says just that maybe I could initiate more. Him not wanting sex with me generally triggers deep insecurities feeling unwanted sexually in my past relationship, where my ex was cheating on me so he pretended me initiating was assault to get me to stop. This really messes with me, I feeling unwanted makes me feel extremely uncomfortable initiating. I told him I need him to take the lead at first and then I can follow but he doesn’t. He doesn’t give any reason other than generally being busy and stressed and makes it seem like he wants sex more often ideally. I’ve actually literally told him he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants at this point and he acts turned on and convo will heat up but then nothing.
I’m someone that is normally always down but now I don’t even masturbate. He has also independently acknowledged dry spells to say it’s not me. I don’t want to use sex as a weapon but the weeks in between sex are emotionally painful for me, and immediately after sex I want to cry knowing it could be months, so I kind of want to just suggest taking a break from sex until we can be more regular. I’d rather just know I’m not getting any. During sex I don’t want him to touch me anymore because I’m scared doing work or taking longer will make him want it even less.
What can I do? Our relationship is otherwise very intimate and trusting, lots of cuddling and sleeping naked. How can I talk about it again when we already have? help!

2024.05.19 11:27 KiritoG2772 Just something I wrote to let my emotions out

This is something I wrote never wrote a song but I just needed it to let it out, but I wish I did know because music is so liberating
How many words does one broken heart need before it heals before it's too late and it's lost forever and no longer here
We all walk past each other with a little hurt inside and we don't talk about it because we fear the depths of the hole inside our heart because that's the only thing left behind all of the pain of the memories and of the things that could of been
all of this weight comes from all this sadness i plead can someone take it all away please, how do we find our way back to the light when all you can see is darkness even when the sun smiles at us every day we live
Keep going keep going it will get better that's all you hear but how does help when you're broken when hope was taken the day you left
Can I tell you once all I could see was magic, everytime i walk outside just seeing nature filled me with so much hope and dreams but now I'm just tired of being so strong Lately I just keep losing myself I wish I could just end this here but something inside me just doesnt wanna give up please forgive me it's all I can say when the reflection hits the mirrior and this tears fall like a never ending stream
I should have loved myself more, now it's a journey to try and find myself while putting one piece after another together slowly one more time because the love that I gave you was what I always looked for even if it meant being ignored left on the side without any words all while been blamed for things that werent even my fault
I know I hope you find everything that you need is the only thing I can say Its the only thing we can both do
This pain is a memory of the beautiful things we once lived, now it's time for me to let go and find the love I gave to you and give it back to me
It might be hard today and tomorrow might be the same because learning self love is something only I can do i know There's a light at the end of tunnel and it ain't easy but I can tell you I know I'll make it through for me and the people that love that are still here.

🔗Beige Cargo Joggers - H&M

https://preview.redd.it/1846phkupc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54d47ba7ef38ba4f2270f88d70343941ce228fcd
I recently tried a pair of beige cargo joggers from H&M, and I have to say, they've quickly become one of my go-to items for casual outfits. The moment I put them on, I noticed how comfortable they are, thanks to the soft cotton fabric and adjustable drawstring waistband. The tapered legs and covered elastic at the hems give them a polished look that's perfect for both lounging around the house or dressing up for a night out.
One feature that really stands out is the variety of pockets - they've got diagonal side pockets, back pockets with concealed snap fasteners, and even leg pockets with flaps. This might not seem like a big deal, but as someone who's always misplacing their phone or keys, having so many pocket options has made my life so much easier!
However, there are a couple of downsides worth mentioning. Firstly, I found that the sizing can be a bit tricky. I'm usually a small but needed to go up to a medium to get the right leg length. Secondly, while the material is comfortable, it does seem to attract dust and dirt more easily than other fabrics. This means I have to wash them more frequently than I would like.
Overall, these beige cargo joggers from H&M are definitely worth considering if you're looking for a stylish and comfortable pair of pants to add to your wardrobe. Just make sure to pay attention to the sizing and be prepared for some extra laundry!

🔗Heavyweight Fleece Cargo Sweatpants for Men: Stylish and Comfortable

https://preview.redd.it/isndoayupc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84e9ba818e2d28bed4f66d049b2ace6e74472d80
I recently picked up a pair of these Pro Club Men's Heavyweight Fleece Cargo Sweatpants in heather gray, and let me tell you, they've quickly become my go-to comfies for lounging around the house. The fleece is ultra-soft and surprisingly warm, making them perfect for those chilly winter days. I appreciated the relaxed fit, which didn't feel too tight or constricting, but still gave me enough room to move freely.
One of the highlights of these sweatpants is definitely the multiple cargo pockets and added flaptop security. They've allowed me to stash away my phone, wallet, keys, and other necessities without fumbling around in my pockets or bag. Plus, the adjustable elastic drawstring on both the waist and pant cuff ensures a customizable and comfortable fit.
However, it's worth noting that these sweatpants run a bit larger than I expected. If you prefer a more fitted look, I'd recommend sizing down. Additionally, some users may find the heavy fabric to be a bit too warm during warmer months. Despite these minor drawbacks, I'm thoroughly enjoying my new pair of Pro Club sweatpants, and would recommend them to anyone seeking comfort and style.

🔗Garage Women's Fleece Cargo Sweatpants - Forged Iron Grey

https://preview.redd.it/7i0af5hvpc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92dce4e544cb42db5fbacbfa27281e8b9d05d628
As a fashion enthusiast, I can't tell you how much I appreciate the unique blend of practicality and comfort that the Garage Cargo Sweatpants have to offer. With an elastic waistband and adjustable drawstring, these sweatpants provide a secure and snug fit, making them perfect for lounging around or going on an active adventure.
The fleece interior is another highlight of this garment; it's incredibly soft against the skin, making every moment spent in these pants a cozy affair. Additionally, the 7-pocket detailing adds a layer of functionality and versatility to the pants, allowing you to carry more items without compromising on style or comfort.
One potential drawback to note is that the pants have a relaxed fit, which some individuals might find too baggy. However, this quality also adds to the comfort and ease of movement that these sweatpants provide.
In my personal experience, the Garage Cargo Sweatpants have become my go-to choice for both casual outings and lounging around at home. Their durability and high-quality materials have made them a worthwhile investment in my wardrobe, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking comfort and style combined.

🔗Stylish Oversized Cargo Sweatpants

https://preview.redd.it/2f2bshsvpc1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab05aa1dd5b37b4f45178b31b7330698d9d637f5
I've been using these Women's Essential Oversized Cargo Sunday Sweatpants in Light Grey from Abercrombie & Fitch for a while now, and I must say, they've quickly become my go-to choice for lounging around in comfort and style. The high rise design combined with the heavyweight Soft A&F Max fleece fabric creates an incredibly cozy sensation that's hard to beat.
One of the standout features of these sweatpants is their oversized Sunday silhouette. It gives a relaxed and effortless vibe that's perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings or cozy nights spent binge-watching your favorite shows. The elasticated waistband adds an extra layer of comfort, while the interior drawcords with metal aglets ensure a secure fit without sacrificing ease of taking them off.
The cargo-style pockets are another highlight for me. They provide ample storage space for my phone, keys, and other essentials without adding bulk to the overall look. Plus, they add a unique touch to the traditional sweatpant design, making them stand out in a sea of similar options.
However, there are some cons to consider. Firstly, the price point might be a bit steep for some people. While I believe the quality and comfort justify the cost, it's understandable that not everyone may want to invest in such an item. Secondly, some users have mentioned that the fold-over part of the waistband doesn't stay in place as it should, which can be slightly disappointing for those who prefer a neater appearance.
Overall, I'm absolutely in love with these Women's Essential Oversized Cargo Sunday Sweatpants from Abercrombie & Fitch. They offer unmatched comfort and style, making them a must-have addition to any wardrobe. If you're willing to overlook the minor flaws and high price tag, I can assure you that these sweatpants will be your new favorite pair!

As soon as I slipped into my new pair of Bershka cargo sweatpants in charcoal-gray, I knew I had found my ultimate comfort wear. The fabric is buttery-soft, and the elasticized waistband ensures a snug fit that's perfect for lounging around the house or running errands.
One of the best features of these sweatpants is definitely the functional pockets, which are spacious enough to hold all your essentials without creating bulk. Plus, the elastic cuffs keep the pants from riding up while you're on the go.
The regular, tapered fit strikes the right balance between casual and stylish, making these sweatpants a versatile addition to any wardrobe. I'm particularly impressed with the craftsmanship - everything from the stitching to the zippers feels durable and high-quality.
However, some users did report issues with the durability of the drawstring toggles and the overall sizing of the pants, so it might be worth considering these aspects before making your purchase.
Overall, I can't recommend the Bershka cargo sweatpants enough. They've become my go-to choice for lounging, working out, or simply enjoying a cozy day at home.

Soft and stylish, these vintage-inspired cargo sweatpants from Gap are perfect for lounging around or dressing up. Featuring an adjustable drawstring at the waist, along with slanted front pockets and spacious cargo pockets, these sweatpants provide both comfort and functionality.
I've been wearing these in both black and grey, and I've found that they pair nicely with both sneakers and boots. They're definitely on the longer side, so for those of us with shorter legs, it might be worth picking the petite size.
One downside is that these sweatpants shed, leaving a trail of fluff wherever I go. However, this is a small issue when you consider how comfortable and versatile they are. Overall, I would give these cargo sweatpants a well-deserved 4 out of 5 stars. If you're in the market for a stylish and comfy pair of sweatpants, these are definitely worth checking out!

Firstly, let me tell you about the comfort level of these fleece cargo sweatpants. I've been using them for a month now, and I have to say, I can't get enough of the softness. The feel of them is like a warm hug on a cold day - it's pure bliss!
The design is another aspect I absolutely adore. The cargo pockets are incredibly useful, especially when I'm out for a run or just lounging around the house. They can easily fit my phone, keys, and even a snack or two. Plus, the mid-rise waist keeps them securely in place without digging into my belly.
However, there are some cons that I think are worth mentioning. Firstly, the oversized fit might not be everyone's cup of tea. If you're looking for a sleeker look, these pants might not be what you're after. Secondly, the drawstrings on the waist can sometimes tend to loosen up, which could lead to the pants sagging a bit.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend these cargo sweatpants to anyone looking for comfortable, stylish, and practical loungewear. Just remember to size down if you prefer a more fitted look, and always keep an eye on those drawstrings!

I recently purchased these Pro Club Men's Heavyweight Fleece Cargo Pants for my daily wear, and I must say I am quite impressed. The 13oz fleece fabric is incredibly warm and comfortable, perfect for cold winter days. The heavyweight fleece also provides a nice buffer against wind and chill, making it an excellent choice for outdoor activities.
One of the standout features of these pants for me is the ample storage provided by the two side pockets, two rear pockets, and two cargo pockets. The Velcro flaps on the cargo and rear pockets keep my valuables secure, giving me peace of mind when I'm out and about. The elastic waistband with drawstring is another feature that I appreciate, as it allows for a snug and adjustable fit.
The sizing on these cargo pants is also quite accurate, making it easy to find the perfect fit. The only minor issue I have encountered is that the pants are a bit more relaxed in their fit than I initially expected. However, this is not necessarily a negative aspect, as it adds to the overall comfort and coziness of the garment.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the Pro Club Men's Heavyweight Fleece Cargo Pants. They provide excellent warmth, comfort, and style, making them a must-have for anyone looking for high-quality sweatpants that will keep them warm on those chilly days.

I recently got my hands on these Bershka Pocket Cargo Sweatpants in White, exclusively from ASOS, and I must say, they're a game-changer for my daily wardrobe. The moment I slipped them on, their comfort hit me like a warm hug. The fabric, made of 98% cotton and 2% elastane, offers an exquisite softness that's perfect for those laid-back days. I particularly appreciate the elasticized waistband, as I don't have to worry about constantly pulling up my pants.
The standout feature, however, is the thoughtfully designed pockets. They're not only functional but also add a unique touch to this cargo-inspired style. I've been using these sweatpants for running errands, and they're surprisingly versatile - they go perfectly with a simple t-shirt or even a button-down shirt for a more put-together look.
There are a few things that could have been done better, though. Some users have pointed out that the cargos run large, so sizing might be an issue for some. Additionally, the reviewers have mentioned that the pockets aren't actually functional, which might not be ideal for those looking for a practical pair of sweatpants.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend these Bershka Pocket Cargo Sweatpants for those who seek comfort and style in their everyday attire. They're perfect for lounging around or dressing up, making them a valuable addition to anyone's wardrobe.

I recently came across Rsq's Fleece Cargo Jogger Sweatpants in black, and I must say, they've become my go-to loungewear. The fleece lining provides exceptional warmth and comfort, making these perfect for a cozy night in or a casual outing. The drawstring waist ensures a secure and snug fit, while the side slip pockets provide ample storage for my phone and keys. The cargo pockets add extra flair, offering plenty of space for my essentials.
One of the standout features of these sweatpants is the fabric mix of 58% cotton, 37% recycled polyester, and 5% elastane. This unique blend makes the garment both durable and stretchy, ensuring optimal freedom of movement. Additionally, the machine-washable quality means I can effortlessly toss these in with the rest of my laundry, saving me time and energy.
However, there have been a few minor drawbacks with these sweatpants. Some users have reported that the sizing can be tricky, with certain measurements coming up shorter than expected. My personal experience with the sizing was accurate, but it's worth noting that the fit may vary for others. Furthermore, a few users have mentioned that the cargo pockets' Velcro closures can be slightly noisy, which may be a consideration for those seeking a quieter option.
All in all, Rsq's Fleece Cargo Jogger Sweatpants have been a fantastic addition to my wardrobe. They offer unparalleled comfort, stylish detailing, and eco-friendly materials—all at an affordable price. While there have been a few minor cons, their overall quality and performance have made them a must-have for anyone in search of the perfect loungewear.

I'm not going to lie - when I tried on the Bershka Slim Cargo Sweatpants in Gray, I was initially skeptical. But this wasn’t just another pair of sweatpants; it was a stylish, comfortable, and functional addition to my wardrobe.
The highlight for me was definitely the craftsmanship. From the elasticized waistband to the ribbed cuffs, everything felt well-made and durable. And let's not forget about those functional cargo pockets! They're perfect for stashing my keys or phone while I'm on the go.
However, there were some cons as well. The fit was a bit tricky for me, and I found myself having to size down multiple sizes to get the slim, tapered look I was going for. Plus, at the price point Bershka is offering these at, they might be considered a bit overpriced by some.
Overall, though, I'm glad I gave these pants a chance. If you're looking for a stylish and comfortable pair of cargo sweatpants, the Bershka Slim Cargo Sweatpants in Gray are definitely worth considering.

Duluth's Tradetek Heavyweight Sweats Cargo Pants truly live up to their name, providing both durability and comfort. As a reviewer who's worn them during chilly evenings and while working on projects around the house, I can attest that they're an excellent choice for those seeking a reliable and cozy pair of sweats.
One feature that really stands out is the built-in belt, which has been a game-changer in ensuring these pants stay up. Couple that with the thick material and deep, roomy pockets, and you've got a pair of sweatpants that can handle anything from casual relaxation to more active pursuits.
However, the elastic waistband has some room for improvement. Despite its decent thickness, it feels old and worn out compared to other sweatpants I've worn. This might be due to its limited stretch. While a good belt can compensate for this minor issue, some users with wider hips or a more substantial build might not feel as comfortable wearing them.
All things considered, the Tradetek Heavyweight Sweats Cargo Pants have served me well during the colder months. While they're not perfect, they strike a good balance between comfort and functionality, making them worth a try for anyone in the market for a sturdy and warm pair of cargo pants.

2024.05.19 11:22 thebaj1 If I was Kendrick, and people grouped me with Drake and J. Cole in a “big 3” of the genre which I dominate, I would be mad too.

TL;DR: Kendrick hates that the game groups him with J. Cole because he’s mid and with Drake because he’s a phony culture vulture, and because he likes em young. In Kendrick’s eyes, he clears them, and hates everyone for subscribing to a “big 3” when it’s just ‘big him’
Drake and J. Cole are LEAGUES below Kendrick in many aspects of their artistry, and Kendrick despises the fact that everyone in the game, from the average listener, to the hip hop nerd, to the new head, to the old head, to other rappers, and to respected podcasters and DJ’s of the genre, has grouped him with, at least who he sees as, to two incredibly inferior artists to him.
J. Cole has painfully average, and often below average songwriting and conceptuality, and a massive amount of corny/cringe bars, both of which lead to, for the most part, a lacklustre discography. His rapping ability is nothing to scoff at all, often times Cole can flow his ass off and rap with entrancing cadences for sure, but his songwriting is very surface level and often doesn’t have much depth. And when the topic itself is “deep”, and Cole is trying to be introspective and trying to paint a picture for the listener, he does it in an almost too easy, too simple way to understand. The main point is not that his artistry is “bad”, it isn’t, but to Kendrick, comparing Cole to him is like comparing a pre schooler’s drawing to Da Vinci.
As for Drake, he has writers. I could just stop there, but there’s other things. Specifically something that Kendrick has shown us recently that he strongly disapproves of from Drake, that he’s a vulture, a coloniser, of cultures. And it’s not even just that he copies other sounds and styles in his own work, it’s that using those sounds and styles from other cultures, he masks his own true self and props up a completely fake image of himself to the rest of the world, IN ORDER to profit. And also he likes em young, that’s definitely part of it.
Now let’s go back to Kendrick. Kendrick is a good kid who was able to make it out of the mad city he’s from, and now he can speak up for his people after being blessed with a voice and a platform to tell stories of his and of others from his community in his music. As well as talk about the pain, the regret, the survivors guilt he has, being the one that made it out, but still knowing that his people are suffering, close people of his, and that he’s unable to do anything about it. He makes timeless art, with real substance, and he is pissed off that the game is grouping him with a culture vulture who grooms teenage girls and a dude who raps about being a virgin in school and folding clothes. That’s a very, very simple way to put it, but honestly if I was Kendrick, I would be mad and be out for rapper blood too.

2024.05.19 11:21 vivapabloescobar Don't over complicate this stuff

I've seen all sort of strange ideas, starting from getting spine surgery to fix your dick.
TL;DR: Fixed HF by developing muscle and strength in all the right places.
Symptoms:
What I did:

Took about 3 months.
I am now in almost as big flaccid as I am erect. Always been a grower before.
By far the most important out of all of those were fixing hip flexors, getting out of APT and heavy squats.
Make of this post what you wish, it's your life and your decision.
But even contemplating on the concept of getting spine surgery, or any other woo-woo crap that I've seen posted here is just crazy.
If you're already hitting the gym heavy, then look into your hip flexors. A lot of people don't think they have APT because that's how they lived for their entire life.
If looking into a mirror on your side, and squeeze your glutes as hard as possible, if the pelvis move into a neutral position, you have APT. Hip flexors and quads pull it forward, abs can't pull it back, glutes as well because of your body position.
Good luck guys.
