First and foremost it's the streaming company that stream censored version of animes (even tho studios make fully uncensored stuff) in a hope to appeal to wider audience.

Then there is google who owns Play Store and have control over Android.
I read somewhere that any app that is listed in play Store has to follow rules of google(might be same in apple store)
And one of rules are "no 18+ content" or basically anything that might related to pron .
So crunchyroll or Netflix simply can't stream animes like redo of healer, interspieces reviewers etc completely uncensored even if they want to. (It's a different story if company themselves don't want to stream uncensored version)
And making your app available to person the easiest way is play store, people can side load apps hence circumventing google's rules
but it's also a truth that majority will get their apps from play Store, hence crunchyroll has to obey play store's guidelines.
It's not limited to just companies, even Foss apps that are listed on play Store has to obey same rules
FOR EX: there's an app called: AniTrend it's a app to manage your anime/manga list, it uses AniList's api (it's not AniList's official app)
It's actually a great app and very smooth, in short I love it, but one thing annoyed me many times, whenever I search a anime or manga that is on very 'ecchi' heavy , these title will either won't showup in search or if they do then I can't open them as again app has to follow play Store's guidelines and hence I had to use website to manage my list (same with adding hentais in lists)
This also a reason why many anime won't showup in MAL's official app like redo of healer won't show up in MAL's app (so I switched to web app).
ONE way to resolve this issue is play store to allow streaming apps to stream uncensored content, FFS it's a stream App not a TV, here people watch what they like to , but since Google is American company I dont think they will ever relax their guidelines
SECOND way is SIDE loading of apps, streaming and other companies/people to release the X version of their app on GitHub hence circumventing google's rules,using which people can stream content completely uncensored, but again I don't think companies will invest to make slight different version of their app and maintain both (this won't be cost effective according to them) .
Currently the only way to access uncensored animes are bluerays only, but I scared when CDs will completely die out and studio simply sell licences of titles to streaming companies.

So I was/still am watching through hwikky's videos (link to his channel here) because I'm a self-admitted big fan of Hololive. I got a thought as I see the love and passion in my heart being reflected in the fans that he meets and himself really.
I can only really confidently speak about Hololive, but I do not doubt the love and passion that people had for Nijisanji. Some of it still burns bright (most likely from the JP side tbh) and some of it got replaced by an ugly emotion. Do I wish ill will for Nijisanji's talents? Personally, not really. I am very far removed emotionally from it. I only really look at it in a way that is objective and based on evidence and logical steps. Based on those, there are certainly some who I wouldn't lift a finger on, but I wouldn't actively do anything to contribute on a downfall on.
That's myself tho. My thoughts and feelings... I guess it's time to do the weekly write up?

So. Unless you have been living under a rock (on which case, congratulations?), the news of Nijisanji's restricted nature and absolute purging is a well known one. Only official Nijisanji posts are kept up. Everything else is purged. Funny about reddit, it didn't like the absolute nuking of posts in that subreddit. So there has been multiple old posts that has been popping up (and subsequently deleted later). It's funny really.

Sorry if this is old news. Saw a twitch stream of a programmer looking at the Chat-GPT 4o demo videos and they completely modeled the female voice from the movie Her. The male presenters talk to the AI normally and the female voice AI replied so positive warm and flirty to everything they said.
The twitch streamers even joked that the presenters were getting horney talking to the AI and the Twitch Streamer joked that they should have called it Chat GPT-4H for hentai.
One of the videos showed two AIs talking to each other and the second AI was a male voice that was polite but almost subservient like talking to his boss in a friendly manner. The difference in tone between the two AIs couldn’t be ignored. The female one giggling and the male one with nice guy vibes.
I would have liked to see the male voice flirt with the presenters to at least have some sense of equality. But the fact that they presented this to the world proudly made me feel sad. Put the flirt meter up to 100 so all the sad lonely dudes can fall in love with our AI. They already have a warped idea of sex from too much porn, now they’ll think all women should be warm giggly and flirty even when you ask it mundane questions. Furthermore, do lonely gay or women users get to have the flirty male voice AI as an option? Tech companies are too straight white male to even see their own cringe.

Today’s review is for Tales of the EdgeWorlds Volume 1 by Shawn Frost. I was given an ARC copy back in July of 2023, but didn’t finish reading it until recently because I bogged myself down with too many activities, and something this long takes me a while. I will go through the things I liked about it, the things I hated, and wrap it up with a score from 1-10. My scoring system goes through 5 key components, with each one going over the creative aspect and the technical aspect. I will explain that part when we get to scoring later on, so let’s plow on through.
This is a collection, about 266 pages long, and is meant to be the first installment of a comedy series. Shawn runs a Youtube channel where he covers lolcows and does gaming streams, so comedy should come naturally to him. As a volume, this holds 4 short stories, each one holding about 8 chapters, with each story running for about 20k words. Technically, we can say it’s 4 novelettes, but as I explain the situation, you’ll see why they are so long. The plot may seem complex but the main characters go through the same situations: the dimensional merge occurred, between all of our creative properties and C-197, with a group of rambunctious penguins doing mercenary work.
Sadly, it’s not really the Chris-Chan version of a dimensional merge, so we do not see Sonichu or any of that wacky world… yet. It's volume 1, so it's too early to say it's not open to the possibilities. The style runs close to internet memes and those old Newgrounds cartoons, with the focus aimed at action scenes and descriptions of the creative world around their setups. But, as you read through the massive amount of descriptions and banter, you'll realize that very little happens in each story. I would say each one is very simple and with a low reading level needed to get through them, which is a double-edged sword in this case.
I say this because the writing tries too hard to claim a joke was made when it wasn’t really a “ha-ha” joke to begin with. It’s more like “ah… humor is detectable somewhere in these pages” kind of comedy. It relates to the offensive animals of Fritz the Cat, where the comedy comes from the absurdity of a setup, rather than a punchline that is found. Unfortunately, because the satire is absent and it focuses too much on the premise, the result becomes more like my favorite episode of Heil Honey I’m Home, minus Hitler and his annoying neighbors. The banter bogs down the pacing, turning each chapter into a short, yet overly long, sample of a scene, chained together by constantly shifting points of view.
Thankfully, this simple way of approaching a story allows a casual reader to speed on by. Things are easy to follow and characters are easy to remember. The main cast of Edgy, Jeff, Todd, and Hylus are separated by their brand of chaotic addictions. Addiction to drugs, addiction to hentai, addiction to video games, addiction to murder; all greatly expressed in what are meant to be running gags that resemble a sitcom cast. The ship they travel around in, from job to job, can easily be imagined as a "That '70s Show basement" version of the ship in The Orville, as each story goes to different planets where they meet different aliens.
There is enough in each story to understand what is going on, with the stories more as an exploration of lore than an exploration of character or theme. The lack of focus, as well as the indifferent prose, harms the way each tale is told. I would never say these are bad ideas or bad concepts, just bad ways to get them across. High concept, low composition. I would say the main value is from the promise of more to come than what is presented in the pages.
Time for the rating, which will be given between 0-2. 1 point goes to the technical aspect and 1 point goes to the creative side of things. Flaws within a point will reduce it into smaller decimals, but a single aspect is not able to entirely kill a story on its own. If it’s all technical or all creative, a story will be treated as mediocre. Even if I like something, it is still possible to get a 5/10, meaning it’s not suitable for the average reader who is more accepting of a 7 or an 8.
Plot: 1.5 Things happen and people go places in the form of a violent travelog. The pacing bogs down the destination with tourist traps.
Characters: 1.5 The characters play their roles well, even though their roles don’t play well with the plot. Their banter and quirks fall flat in parts.
Prose: 1 With clear points between A and B, wet and sloppy ideas are delivered dry and brittle. With each paragraph shoving lore down the reader’s throat, it can become death by a thousand detours.
Theme: 1 There is a great message about how chaos and anarchy transforms people into primitive animals. Unfortunately, the author couldn’t find it in the infinite vastness of subspace.
Setting : 2 It is a world you want to know more about and look forward to the next bit of info. Creative, exotic, to the proper point of chaotic, yet still comprehensible. Everything about this book is in the setting.
Final verdict: 7/10
The book is niche, it takes a while to heat up, and even then it’s as appealing as a mystery flavor hot pocket. If you’re into absurdity, you will enjoy it. I just wish the absurdity had some life behind it. There is room for expansion and I hope that opportunity is taken.

here’s a little back story; my bf (now husband) and I found out that i was pregnant and we decided to keep the baby. he promised that he will change his lifestyle by stopping weed, focusing on his career, & the list goes on and on. i had just only graduated when i found out that i’m pregnant and was and still is jobless. now i’m jobless still because i decided to care for our baby because everything was still new to me and a part of me feels like it’s better for me to be stay at home mom. as for my husband, he is working with his dad BUT he hasnt been going to work for at least 8 months now, with excuses such as “i have to accompany my wife as she is in her third trimester”, followed by “i have to take care of the baby at night so my wife can rest”, followed by “i’ll see if i can begin work next month”, and now he claims that he cannot go to work and it’s because he got herniated discs from carrying the baby.
now, i’m a 4 months postpartum mama with aching knees and back who takes care of my child literally myself (with help from my husband once in awhile). recently, my husband couldn’t walk as he got herniated discs and that’s where everything got worse, as in i don’t really get any help with chores anymore or help with the baby. 5 weeks had passed and he is still home complaining how the pain comes and goes but is very lazy to do light stretches (as advised by the doctor) but is able to sit in front of his PC for hours to play CS with his friends, and he spends most of his time laying down at the couch or bed streaming video games.
given that i’m the only child, my mom understands my situation and still provides allowance for me to buy my basic needs. everything was alright at first as i tried to be in his position and all until I brought up a conversation with him about when is he going to go back to work (he still asks money from his dad without working at 27 years old and his dad gave his a certain amount every month which is just enough to pay off his loans and personal commitments). he got defensive when i talked about how tired i am with daily chores and everything & to which he replied with “then dont do anything at all” and “i’ll do my own chores if it’s that difficult for you” in a somewhat angry tone. i talked about how he is not doing anything to improve our financial situation and he was saying about what can he do with his back being that way. i shut up as i did not know how to respond because in my head there’s so many things he could have done instead of watching or playing games. 10 minutes later, he got up and played game again. 💀😭 he always say how he is so tired during the day and have difficulty waking up early when all he does is watch and play games OR read hentai online comics (dont ask me how i found out) till 5am in the morning.
not only that, he starts to borrow money from me and sometimes uses my money for the household basic needs. since i got pregnant, he had never once bought me any gifts (sometimes it does not mean expensive ones) or take me out on a date if i dont ask for a date outside (before giving birth) OR at all since i gave birth. instead he would even sometimes jokingly ask me to buy things for him WHEN I DONT EVEN HAVE A JOB OR ANYTHING.
basically i’m now fed up with his behavior but i don’t know what to do. told my mom about it and she told me to go back home to my family as they can take care of my baby and she believes that i have the potential to build my own empire. although i want to do that, at the same time, i’m scared of being a single mother and it saddens me to think about how my baby will grow up without a father at home.

I. Context
Many a years ago, before there was Nijisanji, before there was Hololive. Upd8 was formed and debuted the first ever virtual youtuber - Kizuna Ai in 2016. Her popularity skyrocketed, she was known not just in Japan but all over the world. To this day, she still is one of the world’s most subcribed youtuber. Her contents were translated accrossed 20+ languages and submitted directly onto her channel as community subtitles (which youtube got rid of recently)
From then on Upd8 only grew stronger, in 2018 they received $5 millions in funding, then also were able to leverage another $10 million using Kizuna Ai name in 2020
In 2019, it was reported that their 2nd biggest vtuber, Oda Nobuhime, brought in $700k dollars in revenue a year, it was unknown how much money Kizuna Ai made, but she was far far more popular than Nobuhime. Safe to assume in 2019, upd8 revenue were in the millions. Something that Hololive/Nijisanji only managed (or still not have) to catch up to 5 years after in 2024.
Upd8 partnered with 774 inc., while the IP belongs to 774 inc., upd8 and 774 inc together released 12 vtubers. Upd8 also partnered with Cover corp/Hololive to create INNK music, the branch which owned AZki and later on Suisei. With the rise in popularity of YuNi, Omega Sister, Nobuhime, Suou Patra, Inaba Haneru, etc.. outside of Kizuna Ai. Upd8 became the dream company that every vtuber wanted to be in. By the end of 2019 there were 50 vtubers under their wings (including a certain dog girl).
II. The girl’s story
It’s no secret that Oda Nobuhime reincarnated as Omaru Polka of Hololive in 2020. But much was unknown about her history or why she left upd8 to the english world. Except for this one youtube historian, who detailed Upd8 mistreatment of Nobuhime:

it was revealed that her management team had a lot of control over her content and personal relationships. It isn't that she wasn't interested in making her old style of content, do song covers, or even play Minecraft, but it wasn't allowed by her management team. There was also someone else in control of her twitter account, and sent hateful messages to Tamaki to "break" their relationship. The management also forced Nobuhime to announce her retirement right before Tamaki's new 3D model stream as a way to punish Nobuhime.

These are much similar to that of Selen’s story today. But there are 2 big differences: Nobuhime as a person have always struggled with depression and she had even been abused by her previous company before joining upd8. Everyone should have known about Ever Blue at this point, the most depressed song Hololive has ever produced, but if you do not known, Polka uses her membership stream as a way to vent and share her depression and struggles with her community. Before upd8 she was the uitaite mega, who was part of another company, which forced her to produce hentai ASMR and even to appear IRL on TV. After she left said company, she was able to keep her youtube channel and her NND channel, but her twitter was taken over by the CEO.
With this long history of depression at hands, coupled with upd8’s mismanagement and mental terrorism. It is with a high possibility that she might have made an attempt on her life.
III. The colleagues:

• on the same day that Nobuhime graduated (April 30, 2020), 774 inc. severed ties with upd8, all 9 remaining members will no longer be part of upd8 (3 graduated at this point)
  
• a week after Nobuhime graduation announcement. On April 24, 2020, Kizuna Ai announced her depature from upd8 and form Kizuna Ai inc. (a company still part of activ8 but with completely different managment), she also brought along her clones, which were later given the name of Aipii and Love-chan.
  
• YuNi ran down her contract and leave upd8 4 months later on August 2020
  
• There were actually a lot who stayed, but they might have not been close enough to Nobuhime to know of her story. Please don’t blame vtubers like Shibuya Hal for this.
  
• With their biggest names leaving. Upd8 folded and filed for bankruptcy 6 months later in November 1st, 2020
  
• Years later Nobuhime remained friends with her upd8 colleagues, they had a mini reunion in 2022 , Tomari Mari also visited Polka in a totsumachi recently.
  

Tl;dr upd8 mistreated their #2 biggest vtuber, their other talents left in solidarity. The company folded.
NijisanjiEN mistreated their #2 biggest vtuber, their other talents joked about “making an attempt”, went completely silent, backing up the company, the black streams, etc. The branch is facing danger of folding.

Ya habían pasado algunos años desde la salida de “El Mercenario vs el Chupacabras segunda parte”. Mi amigo y yo nos habíamos gastado todo el dinero en poner un expendio pitero en la colonia más culera de la ahora mal llamada CDMX y con el poco dinero que nos sobro nos pusimos un pedon con unas putas de la misma colonia, dando como resultado que una de ellas saliera embarazada de mi. Poco a poco mi sueño de mierda de revivir el cine de mierda nacional se apagaba, pues aunque mis 2 películas fueron una puta basura yo todavía deseaba revivir mis sueños piteros de adolescente y hacer una película mas culera que “Perras de barrio”. Cada día que hablaba con mi amigo era lo mismo: “Vamos a hacer otra película verga, ya no tenemos dinero”, “Se nos va acabar el dinero y no hicimos la película del mata culeros” y pendejadas que salían de mi hocico para justificar que no tenia tiempo, cuando mi única obligación era mantener a la puta de mi vieja y darle la mitad de lo que generábamos con el expendió de mierda que teníamos a mi socio. Siempre me decía ese pendejo que mi vieja se la culiaba el vecino y que pusiéramos cámaras en su vecino, total era puta y podíamos ganar dinero haciendo porno casero, pero hasta esa mamada nos daba weva.
Un día haciéndome una paja en la oficina del expendió (que era un cuarto todo culero lleno de cucarachas y cartones de cerveza que nos tomabamos mi socio y yo) se me ocurrió la brillante idea de hacer la ultima parte del mercenario contra el chupacabras, pues aunque no lo crean tenia un guion mas culero todavía que el original y ya varios actores muertos de hambre con poco trabajo querían participar en ella (y no, no estoy hablando de los pendejos que hacen películas de meirda en Youtube).
Pero rápidamente pensé: “El chupacabras se lo llevo la verga”. Entonces agarre mi celular y dije, voy a buscar la idea mas pendeja para cerrar esta trilogía de mierda que nunca va servir, total ya nos compraron una película y a los pendejos de la colonia les gusto, que podia salir mal.
El pendejo de mi socio que curiosamente estaba por la colonia, me mando mensaje y me dijo que necesitaba dinero, después de eso le comente que era momento de revivir al puto del chupacabras y buscar a otro pendejo que hiciera el mercenario, total si las cadenas de mierda de stream nos compraron una película, que podía pasar si le vendíamos otra. Después de media hora y varias puñetas (con limpiada de papel incluida) y dos cervezas de mierda, llego mi socio, me dijo que acaba de culearse a una teibolera que cogía mas rico que cualquier encueratriz de mierda, paso siguiente le enseñe el guion y el pendejo lo leyó con tanto gusto que dijo que era imposible que esa mierda pudiera salir peor o mas culera que la primer película que hicimos ( o cualquier telenovela de mierda hecha en México).
Después de 2 horas de dialogo estúpido, ideas pendejas y falta de cultura del cine mexicano, decidimos que la mejor idea era revivir al chupacabras a mamadas, total si en todas las películas una puta mamaba rifle, pues porque en esta no.
Fue cuando el estúpido de mi socio dijo que conocía a una pendeja cribosa que por 5 pesos te la chupaba mejor que Luna Bella y que aparte no te daba sífilis o gonorrea después de eso, por ende, decidimos ir a buscarla y decirle que si por 100 pesos nos dejaba grabarla mientras todos los protagonistas cada 5 escenas se la cogían con una música pendeja de fondo. Llegando a un basurero de mierda, donde se veía que la gente comía ratas y se las cogía para ahorrar dinero en prostitutas, encontramos la madriguera de la puta que seria la actriz principal de la obra. Dicen las leyendas urbanas que esa vieja se la mamo a Los Honaz Broderz una vez que vinieron a tocar a la CDMX, pero nadie lo pudo comprobar pues los morros son mas jotos que el jefe de ellos.
Al llegar al a madriguera de la puta, nos dimos cuenta que había cerveza tirada por todos lados, pedazos de vidrio que se había fumado seguramente una noche anterior y algo de dinero en la mesa, que ya viéndolo nos lo robamos y fingimos que no lo hicimos. La vieja en su pendejez gritaba “sácamela Tutan camon” y “esta tan grande como la falta de talento de la cotorryza”. Decidimos despertarla y contarle nuestro plan, ella dijo que si dejaba que mi amigo le metiera la verga por el culo y se venia en sus tetas aceptaba, de esa forma mi amigo se cogio a esa golfa para que aceptara salir en nuestra mierda de película. Mientras se la cogía, mi amigo ponía cara de que se queria venir, pero la culera le dijo que si se venia le pegaría un vergazo en el osico, asi que no lo hizo.
Ya cuando terminaron de coger y hacer su cagadero nos fuimos del lugar, diciéndole que en una semana la queríamos arreglada, le compraríamos la ropa mas barata o en su caso, le daríamos ropa de mi vieja para que la usara en la producción de nuestro proyecto.
Como no teníamos dinero para rentar equipo de grabación, ni tampoco tiempo para generar dinero, decidí empeñar el carro de la puta de mi vieja, total esa culera manejaba de la verga y teníamos días peleándonos por cualquier mamada, de esa forma nos dieron cincuenta y mil pesos y un reloj pirata para grabar las próximas 2 semanas nuestra película de mierda. Acto siguiente fuimos con unos jóvenes para decirles si querían ser extras en nuestra película, les dijimos que si aceptaban una puta se las mamaria, asi que aceptaron los vírgenes pendejos que serian engañados por nosotros, pues la puta jamás se la mamaria a unos frikis pendejos que ven hentai.
Solo nos faltaba contratar a 5 actores pendejos carentes de talento, a 2 morras que quisieran ser besadas o mañoseadas por todos y equipo de utilería, teniamos un total de 10 mil pesos para el equipo y pagar algunos sueldos, asi que nos fuimos al único lugar donde están los actores desempleados de televisión, asi es fuimos a Television Ymagen, el único canal donde todos son desempleados y dicen pendejadas para generar raiting a costa de gente pendeja que no sabe leer o escribir. De esa forma contratamos a todos los que quisieron participar y todavía nos sobraron 5 mil pesos para la utileria de mierda.
Despues de comprar todo lo que necesitábamos con un ratero de la colonia y conseguir la utilería restante con un pendejo que hacia cine de mierda y que necesitaba dinero para pagarle la operación a la puta de su amante que se cogia cada 3 dias. Al dia siguiente de la estupides de viacrucis que fue comprar toda la utileria y rentar el equipo de grabación llegamos con los actores, la puta y los jóvenes frikis que eran mas vírgenes que los fans de Franco Escamilla, les explicamos de que trataría la película de mierda y decidimos que el chupacabras reviviría a mitad de la película, con el objetivo de que solo saliera 15 minutos, le pegaran una verguiza y volviera a desaparecer para volver a salir al final de la película para ser derrotado por el cara de culo del mercenario.
Empezamos a grabar, cada escena era mas culera que la anterior, cada idea del guion era mas mierda y clasista que la pagina anterior y los protagonistas actuaban aun mas culero que el drogadicto que era adicto a la puñeta. Las morras no estaban tan culeras, de hecho se antojaba culearselas de vez en cuando, pero eso si actuaban de la verga y eso que eran actrices que tuvieron trabajo por muchos años en telenovelas de poco renombre. Al llegar la puta, no pudo evitar llevarse al protagonista a un cuarto afuera de la casa donde grababamos para cogerse mutuamente y venirse unas 3 veces, fuera de ese cuarto había un baño donde los frikis se la estaban jalando como si tuvieran 15 años de edad.
La película finalmente llego a su climax, llegando el renacer del chupacabras en la escena mas culera jamás concebida y todos sabíamos que eso solo seria posible si poníamos unos efectos tan piteros que ni siquiera los power rangers originales los hubieran puesto, logrando asi una escena epica al mero estilo de Valentin Trujillo, pues entre expolosiones culeras, carros quemándose y putas gritando ayuda, salia el chupacabras de su tumba.
El wey que lo interpretaba era un borracho del ejido al lado del expendio, se tomo 2 cartones de pacifico y lo hizo excelente, de hecho su actuación fue tan culera y de la verga que a todos nos soprendio que la pudiera hacer con el grado de alcoholismo que tenia. Depsues de eso entran los jóvenes frikis que son devorados por el chupacabras de la forma mas mamona posible y dando como resultado que todos nos cagaramos de risa.
En efecto la película no podia estar mas culera y lo siguiente a grabar era una escena sofctore del chupacabras dándose a una amiga del mercenario, que era interpretada por alguna de las putillas, digo actrices exitosas que querían verga a cualquier costo. Mientras grababamos, los morros mecos frikis se la seguían jalando a la distancia, ya era cansado, asi que los mandamos a chingar a su madre para su casa a ver algo de hentai, de esa forma los morros se emputaron porque no se cogieron a ninguna morra. Digo siendo honestos ni sus abuelas se los cogerían, los morros hablaban puras mamadas random y eran tan fans de Heisenwolf que se aventaban sus datos globitos cada 10 segundos riéndose de puras pendejadas.
Llego el momento climax, el mercenario le tenia que pegar nuevamente la verguiza de su vida al chupacabras, dando como resultado una escena mamalona al puro estilo de Bruce lee, es decir vergazos a lo pendejo, ninjas bolando sin sentido y golpes que te mataban de una (asi como tu vieja cuando no se te para por andártela jalando todo el dia). Despues que el mercenario le cortara la cabeza por culero al chupacabras con una espada que estaba tirada en el piso y exitado por esa escena, se dio a la prostituta por todos lados, no mames eso era cine.
Pasaron 2 días después de esa gran grabación, mi vieja me mando a la verga porque se arto de que no generara un peso con el puto expendio por andar editando esa mierda de película, mi socio estaba coge y coge con su futura esposa (que era la puta que conocimos hace poco) y yo, bueno yo tenia la misión de terminar la mejor película de toda la historia del cine nacional (no estoy hablando de No se aceptan devoluciones en efecto).
Terminando esa mierda de película decidí era momento de buscar pasarla en una plataforma de stream, fuimos con varias y todas nos mandaron a la verga, pero siempre estaba la vieja confiable, subirla a una plataforma como Klaro vydeo y cobrarles hasta lo que no para que nos dejaran subirla explícitamente. Como resultado el que nos atendio nos pidió el numero de una de las actrices, nos dio 5 millones de pesos a los dos por esa meirda de película y nos pidió que jamás lo volviéramos a buscar, pues cuando vieron todos la película en la empresa se vomitaron hasta el desayuno culero que les hizo su vieja, aun asi nos dijo que si hacíamos otra película siempre lo buscaramos, pues queria bajar de peso.
Curiosamente “El Mercenario vs el chupacabras” gano premio al a peor película en un festival de Guadalajara, una Diosa de plata por peor actuación masculina y un reconocimiento del cine independiente y sus seguidores en un festival culero de CDMX. Todos mis esfuerzos se veían recompensados, mientras me daba una chaqueta viendo fotos random en internet. A los años decidimos que este seria el cierre de esta hermosa trilogía, pues estábamos hasta la verga de ver el disfraz del chupacabras y lo vendimos en patreon para sacar dinero de los pendejos que veían nuestras películas de mierda (así como a los simps que pagan only fans cuando el nopor es gratis).

Also I noticed something about Chinese donghua: they do not have hentai or R-18 anime produced in China. Everything is rated PG-13 at worst. Do they produce adult Donghua animation?

Canada had a whole decade to prove to the United States that Canadian animation wasn’t as bad as they think. The replacement of Teletoon's English feed with Cartoon Network, however, is symbolic of the fact that Canada had proven the Americans right. But that’s just in the realm of children’s programming; the truth can only be found in adult animation.
The Delta State predates Amazon’s Undone & Adult Swim’s Dream Corp as one of the earliest shows to predominately use rotoscoping. It also comes from that rare breed of non-Japanese adult animated dramas that, as demonstrated by the cancellation of AMC's Pantheon, struggle to co-exist in a market ruled by sitcoms. Delta State is an example of what happens when adult animation is done purely for the art.
The show was produced for Teletoon, which launched in Quebec on September 8, 1997; the English version would launch a month later. Back then, Teletoon was a joint venture between various Canadian companies, and was producing shows for multiple demographics. One such investor was Corus Entertainment; a broadcaster that has since monopolized both the children's and animation industries in Canada. By 2011, Teletoon was a 50/50 partnership with Astral Media, the former owners of Family Channel; Teletoon would become wholly owned by Corus in 2013.
In the decade since, Corus has produced four adult animated shows: Night Sweats, 2 Nuts and a Richard! (Les Grandes Gueules s'animent!), Doomsday Brothers (Les Frères Apocalypse), and the recent Psi Cops. All four shows have received largely negative reviews from English audiences, and the first thee never produced more than 30 episodes. In the case of Night Sweats, Doomsday Brothers, and Psi Cops, of which I have seen several episodes of each, I can say, in my opinion alone, that these shows bring nothing new to the table.
These shows instead use the tired template of shock value made famous by Fox’s Family Guy & Comedy Central’s South Park. Rather than try to do something new and innovative, these shows cling to the outdated notion that all adult animation have to be raunchy comedies. The reason why South Park won a Peabody award is because the show, in its current form, uses extreme content in-service to meaningful social commentary. The difference between Comedy Central's revival of Futurama, and every other show created for the network, is that Futurama excels at storytelling; while other shows, more often than not, take from South Park’s offensive content, but don’t do anything of substance to supplement it.
In my opinion, Night Sweats, Doomsday Brothers, and Psi Cops are akin to the many failed attempts by Comedy Central and Fox to create quality animation on par with that of Netflix, Adult Swim, and now, Amazon's offerings.
Netflix Originals, such as Bojack Horseman, F is for Family, and Disenchanted, ushered in a renaissance for adult animation in America because they were among the first major TV shows to break away from 90s sitcom template and do something new. Meanwhile, Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty needs no introduction at this point. For as turbulent a time as it has become for Adult Swim’s parent company, shows like My Adventures with Superman, Unicorn, Primal, and even the polarizing Japanese anime co-productions show that Adult Swim has evolved beyond their “stoner cartoon” status quo. And then there's Amazon's Prime Video; which has been the dark horse of the industry despite the critical acclaim of Invincible and The Legend of Vox Machina. A 2023 Polygon article was on the money when it called the latter show "an animated and serialized fantasy show about adults, for adults."
Nowhere on traditional, Canadian television today will you find anything on par with the American shows that I just name-dropped. When you compare Corus’ offerings to what you see on Netflix, Adult Swim, and Amazon, it can be concluded that Canadian animation has institutionally failed its audience. The only reason I’m using American examples is because the the U.S still has room to grow compared to where Japanese animation has been; and don't get me started on the clear drop in quality that "modern" anime has gone through over the past decade. If Canadian adult animation can’t do better than the U.S., it’s pointless comparing them to dime-a-dozen slice-of life shows, cookie-cutter isekai, and harem shows so unoriginal you'd be better off watching hentai instead.
Where Canada has failed in adult animation, children's programming remains a lucrative business. But without a modern, critically-acclaimed, multi-generational hit on par with Cartoon Network’s offerings, Teletoon would become a comparatively, irrelevant brand. The relaunch of Teletoon’s English network as revamped Cartoon Network is a reflection of the fact that it’s the latter brand’s programming, and that of Warner Bros Animation as a whole, which drives its viewership. It’s not farfetched to assume that the original French network, and streaming service Teletoon+, will also eventually fold under the Cartoon Network brand at a later date - a date which will mark the true death of Teletoon.
I’ll leave you with this: the next time Canadian media giants complain about foreign streamers stealing away their audience, remember that these are the same giants that decided to create Netflix clones which required a TV subscription. The same giants that used revenue generated from American shows, not to create better Canadian shows, but to buy more American shows. The same giants that got television laws and regulations abolished just so they can turn iconic brands like MuchMusic into import farms. Even the CBC, with all their government money & commercial revenue, couldn’t save one the biggest Black Canadian drama in existence from cancellation because it was a co-production with the biggest African-American network; the same network where anything not made Tyler Perry doesn’t last more than three seasons.
Canadian television sucks for a reason.

I think a lot of casual audiences who don’t own shares are reading a lot of tweets and headlines about how awful Peltz is.
I don’t think he’s the only guy for the job but I do think he’s right about the current board being incompetent.
A lot of people will have opinions on this but if you don’t own shares and don’t do the proper and thorough research, your opinion might not be worth as much.

Most people who own shares and want to make more money would have incentive to vote for him.
Most people are only going to hear him quoted in things that sound like “Black Panther bad”, and I understand that…but the rest of the points he makes, like in his presentation video, are quite salient.
I’ll name just one as an example of where I’m coming from: most members of the Disney board don’t own many shares in the stock. Their incentive for the stock to go up is therefor not as high as would be ideal. That’s extremely worrying for shareholders and bleeds into extremely frustrating when you see the record salaries they are pulling in as the shareholders watch their investments cut in half. Imagine how that would feel.
Furthermore, boards are supposed to hold CEO’s accountable but many on the board were handpicked by Bob and can’t be counted on to do that.
Does Peltz say some stupid stuff? Yeah , I think so. At the same time, someone has to hold this board accountable. The stock has had an absolute terrible few years.

There have been a few recent articles in the press about Disney 'winning' its proxy contest with Nelson Peltz based on early election returns that have been leaked to the media. We don't have an investment in Disney, but I thought it useful to point out the inappropriateness of these leaks to the press.
Only the company and its advisors have access to how shareholders have voted before the day of the annual meeting. My understanding is that it is illegal to release the outcome of the vote prior to it being finalized as it has the effect of manipulating the outcome. Here, the company and/or its advisors have leaked that Disney is winning the contest. It is really inappropriate that they have done so.
And how does one know that it is Disney and/or its advisors that are the source of the leak?
If Peltz were 'winning,' there would be no leaks to the press.
The reason why the progress of an election for directors must be kept confidential until the results are final is that leaking the results can affect the ultimate outcome.
Institutional shareholders worry about offending management by voting with an activist. They are concerned that if management learns that they have voted against the incumbent directors, they may lose 'access' to management going forward. In other words, Bob Iger is less likely to come visit and/or take a call with a shareholder if the shareholder voted with the dissident.
This is clearly a close election. Institutions don't want to risk voting against the incumbent board if it is clear that the activist will lose. They want to be on the winning side of the election.
Here, the company and/or its advisors have leaked the early results in order to tip more institutions and other shareholders to vote for the incumbent board, unfairly tipping the scale in the incumbent board's favor. In other words, an institution may think: if Peltz is going to lose, it is not worth taking the risk of offending management by voting for him.
This is unfortunately not an uncommon practice. Years ago, in our proxy contest with ADP, the company and/or its advisors did the same thing.
The SECGov should do a thorough investigation of this proxy contest and appropriately punish whoever is responsible for this miscarriage of shareholder governance and justice.
Companies of the caliber of Disney and/or its advisors should not behave this way.
Lastly but importantly, I think highly of Nelson Peltz. I am sure he would be greatly additive as a member of the Disney board. Ask yourself, why is the company fighting so hard to keep him off? The fact that the company leaked the early returns to the media is further evidence that an activist of Nelson's caliber deserves to be on this board for all shareholders benefit.
Based on my knowledge of Nelson's capabilities and the dirty tricks implemented by the company and its advisors, I strongly recommend that shareholders vote for Nelson Peltz for the Disney board.
Institutions who have already voted still have time to change their vote. It is time that we make an example of Disney here so that this bad practice does not continue to poison shareholder democracy.

Peltz is a Trump supporter, was a major fundraiser for Ron Desantis. And Perlmutter is actually a close associate of Trump's. Perlmutter isn't backing Peltz out of nowhere, and Perlmutter's Disney stock is apparently managed through Peltz's hedge fund.
So it's less Perlmutter backing it, than Peltz acting as a proxy/front for Perlmutter.
Many of the people they're looking to stick in leadership and on the board have similar associations. And the a lot of the financial backing is coming from Ancora. An investment group largely considered to be a right wing "activist investor" operation. They do things like try to force John Kasich in as the CEO of major freight rail companies.
The whole hostile takeover attempt seems to be a roll out of the GOP's current War on Disney mentality, rather than being rooted in anything else.

But these people are politically motivated, not looking at where the best business decisions are.

Iger's contract is up in '26, he's an interim CEO. And Peltz's public justification here is a supposed succession crisis.

Peltz, Perlmutter, and Acuna are currently able to do this because they've all acquired a fuck ton of Disney stock. If Disney stock falls in response to ultimately bad business moves. They just acquire more and consolidate control.

The second board seat at issue isn't for Perlmutter either. It's for Jay Rasulo. Who's not even 60 yet. And also used to be part of that running crew at Disney.
As far these things go. Peltz and Perlmutter are pretty much just the biggest shareholders they could get on board. And Perlmutter has existing interest in getting his clique back in at Disney.

Peltz isn't directly associated with Ancora. They're a very large wealth management company and investor group. He doesn't fund it, run it or vice versa.
Peltz runs Trian, but they're a similar if slightly smaller wealth management group. These are not one person operations and Peltz comes from an even wealthier family with very similar associations.
Perlmutter's shares give him the influence to be the front for this. But even Perlmutter doesn't exist in isolation.
Unless Perlmutter dies and his family opts to pull his shares out of Trian. And there's little reason believe they would.
Then that's not the way this works.
It isn't really Ike Perlmutter doing this, it's not about these two guys. And it isn't really about him influencing the Disney board. It's a broader political push. From some incredibly moneyed influences.

2. Fire Bob Iger and replace him with Peltz, Perlmutter, Musk, Bob Chapek, or even Harvey Weinstein after Peltz/PerlmutteMusk get him out from prison, or Musk buys the whole company.
   
3. Replace Kevin Feige with Ethan Van Sciver, replace Pete Docter with John Kricfalusi, replace Jennifer Lee with Chris Savino, and replace Kathleen Kennedy with Ben Shapiro.
   
4. Sell Pixar to Comcast (who would then shut it down immediately since they already have DreamWorks and Illumination), sell Walt Disney Animation Studios to Sony, give Marvel back to Perlmutter, sell Lucasfilm to The Daily Wire, and sell 20th Century Studios to Newsmax.
   
5. Ban Kevin Feige, Pete Docter, and Jennifer Lee from working at Hollywood ever again for supposedly "indoctrinating" kids with "woke and pedophilic agenda". Feige and Docter would then flee to Japan with the former becoming a producer of Toho Godzilla films and the latter would become one of the new leading forces of Studio Ghibli while Lee would never be heard from again. Ironically, Kathleen Kennedy would be spared due to her veteran producer status.
   
6. Turn every single Disney's IPs into public domains effective immediately.
   
7. Demolish every single Disney theme parks to make ways for Universal Studios and Super Nintendo World to expand and shut down Disney stores and replace them with adult shops.

Paramount is also about to cease to exist due to scandals at Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers is about to cease to exist any day now, and Sony Pictures is also about to get retired entirely, taking down Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, and Screen Gems in the process as well, leaving Comcast-owned Universal as the only major Hollywood Studio left operating while others would be mini-major studios or indie studios. Perhaps that could be considered as a good thing since everyone loves anime and hates Disney these days. Who knows? This might allow anime films to gross $1 billion worldwide and win Best Animated Feature Oscar every single year to fill in the vacuum left by Pixar and Disney. I'd even say that it could allow hentai and porn in general to become fully mainstream as cinemas start showing those widely in order to survive. Remember, anime films are already getting wide releases these days, so they alone won't be enough. As unrealistic as this might sound, we must always expect the worst and the most extreme without ever hoping for the best since no one expected:

Alexander Stuart Mahan grew up in a very sheltered environment. He was bullied severely enough that it made his parents take the initiative and pull him from school. In this solitary new life Alex often turned to the internet as a means for socialization, however his sheltered and narrow world view often landed him amongst heated discussions online.
We officially start our journey with Alex in 2006 on a message board called “Loserz'' where he posted insightful musings such as “[media] gave me the idea that only men feel sexual desires and women don’t.” It’s important to note that Alex was raised catholic and his thoughts on women very clearly demonstrate a specific brand of religious guilt that HAS to be acknowledged. This could also be the reason that he feels “More qualified than others to judge.” He seems to feel disturbed when women talk about sex. Eventually, his infamous time on the Loserz board ended when the mods had enough of his attitude and banned him.
During this same time, Alex was exploring various works of creative fiction. I remember many second hand accounts of Alex describing him as having an obsession with rape. He wasn’t interested in hentai or porn games that didn’t involve rape. This obsession would follow him into his writings as he posted several works that mention rape in a few chapters, and some that entirely revolved around rape. Alex has even suggested at one point the idea of Yandere-chan being a rapist in order to gain power over her victims.
In 2008, he joined GaiaOnline where he posted frequently about his struggles with women. This is where his infamous posts about killing his parents took place. He had stated that he hated his parents and wanted to kill them because they had expectations of him to achieve a life outside their basement. This is also where he posted selfies at every angle trying to prove that he was too ugly to get a girlfriend (because obviously all women are superficial!), despite several strangers chiming in to say that he really wasn’t terrible looking - his attitude was the problem. Meanwhile, he was poking around on 4chan and getting involved with the gaming boards there. Like in every other situation, the users there found his constant stream advertisements to be annoying and his attitude off-putting. Through his streams, Alex was finally able to gain the attention of a 14 year old girl who we know as Sisefs. Many second hand accounts confirm the existence of Sisefs and confirm that she was in fact dating Alex who was 22 at the time. This takes us all the way to 2011 when Alex began doing “Gaming journalism” for examiner.com. His articles are mostly about video game women and their sexuality and none of them are particularly notable, unless you count the fact that he would often sexualize school-aged girls. Even in 2011, Alex’s “journalism” was way too much for anyone to take seriously. He threw fits in public group chats while everyone was desperately trying to tell him that criticism is an important part of the artistic process, only for him to say things like, “I think a normal person would be incredibly impressed with what I did” and doubling down on being stubborn. This led to Alex vehemently swearing that he’ll outdo Mike Z one day and Yandere Simulator will be better than anything Skullgirls could do. Yandere Simulator, which has had at least 5 more years on top of Skullgirls’ development time, has not yet exited its Beta stage.

The California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) said on Friday it voted to elect activist investment firm Trian Fund Management's two director candidates to Walt Disney's board, in one of the most closely watched and expensive battles for corporate control.
"CalPERS believes Walt Disney Co will benefit from fresh eyes on its board of directors and voted its company shares in favor of candidates Nelson Peltz and Jay Rasulo," the U.S. pension fund, which owned 6.65 million shares in the entertainment giant at the end of December, told Reuters.
CalPERS, which ranks among Walt Disney's (DIS.N), opens new tab top 30 investors, according to LSEG data, said its "established voting guidelines focus on the need for independent corporate boards, a say in setting executive pay, and increased transparency. Two new directors who are qualified and capable of leading needed change in corporate governance will serve the Disney board well."
Shareholders will decide at next week's annual meeting who will sit on the home of Mickey Mouse's 12-person board and help guide strategy as CEO Bob Iger seeks to transform a company valued at $224 billion.
As more big shareholders are expected to cast votes in the coming days, Disney is racing to convince investors there is no need for new blood on the board at a time when the share price has climbed and Iger has laid out new initiatives to cut costs and reignite the company's creative spark.
Trian and another hedge fund, Blackwells Capital, which is trying to win three Disney board seats, are doing the same, telling investors the Disney board has bungled succession planning for Iger, needs to better harness technology, and should consider separating its real estate holdings.

CalPERS joins advisory firms Egan-Jones and Institutional Shareholder Services, who have already noted they’re backing Peltz and Rasulo.
The vote comes just days ahead of Disney’s annual shareholders meeting on April 3, where the final showdown is set to take place over two seats on the entertainment giant’s corporate board. That’s when investors will cast their votes for the board.
For several months, Peltz, founder of the investment firm Trian Partners, and Disney CEO Bob Iger have been at the center of a tense proxy fight for control of the two spots after Disney announced its 12 board nominees at the beginning of the year — which included Iger.
But then, Trian Partners — which controls a $3.5 billion stake in Disney — nominated Peltz and Rasulo, ex-Disney chief financial officer, for the board seats.

Wall Street Journal Reports Nelson Peltz May Lead in Votes for Disney Board Seat
A new report from the Wall Street Journal is a gamechanger going into the Wednesday Disney Shareholders Meeting.
The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Nelson Peltz may have a lead in votes as final ballots are turned in from across the spectrum of Disney shareholders. Though exact numbers have not been provided, and the majority of votes may still be outstanding, the idea that Peltz is currently in the lead is a shockwave across the industry.
The WSJ article notes that even more major institutionalist organizations are throwing their support to Peltz in the very late eleventh hour:

Also according to the same article: “A spokesman for Disney said leaking an early vote count was ‘a highly inappropriate attempt to sway votes.'”
While we cannot possibly state whether or not this leak would benefit Peltz or Disney, it is difficult to suggest that leaking early vote data is in any way appropriate. However, given that the information is now publicly available, it will undoubtedly have some impact on some voters. Will institutionalists now see a green light for voting Peltz? Will smaller, individual shareholders flock to Iger with a desire to cast votes that would have otherwise sat dormant?
One thing is for sure. Most pundits likely thought that Nelson Peltz had a very small, outside chance of getting on The Disney Board of Directors. Now, though Jay Rasulo remains a longshot, Peltz is neck-and-neck. If he does manage to get on the board, the response from Disney CEO Bob Iger — who has fought vigorously to stop Peltz — will be a very interesting thing to see. A much smaller disturbance was sufficient to send Michael Eisner packing once upon a time… and the same extremely influential ISS that helped facilitate that change (which ultimately resulted in Bob Iger ascending to CEO), is the same ISS now recommending against Iger’s desires.
As one might imagine, Disney didn’t agree.

“While we’re heartened to see support for Michael Froman and ISS’s recommendation to withhold on dissident directors Jay Rasulo and the Blackwells’ nominees, we strongly believe that ISS reached the wrong conclusion in its recent report when it comes to adding Nelson Peltz to the board,” said Mark Parker, Chairman of The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors. “In contrast to Glass Lewis, ISS fails to acknowledge the breadth of perspective and expertise Ms. Lagomasino adds to the Board. The strong recent performance and results overseen by the Disney Board demonstrate our focus on long-term shareholder value creation and succession planning and our commitment to good governance practices.”

The endorsements issued Tuesday provide a boost to Peltz’s Trian Fund Management LP, which controls about $3.5 billion of Disney shares. Trian has nominated Peltz as well as Jay Rasulo, Disney’s former chief financial officer. Institutional Shareholder Services last week also backed Peltz’s nomination.
Egan-Jones also withheld support for two existing Disney board members, Mike Froman and Mel Lagomasino, and three other outside nominees, in a report that criticized Disney on a number of fronts.
In particular, Egan-Jones cited Disney’s lack of a management succession plan, its “highly problematic” relationship with the state government in Florida and the company’s “extremely dangerous entrance of the company and its management” into the nation’s culture wars.
The adviser said Disney’s board “appears cut off and unwilling to engage with investors and the broader market.”
Officials at Disney had no immediate comment. Representatives for Peltz didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Egan-Jones credited Peltz’s “record of prompting bold action to drive operational turnarounds” previously and Rasulo’s in-depth knowledge of Disney as reasons to back them.
Last week, ISS also withheld support for Lagomasino, the former chair of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s private banking business who’s served on the Disney board since 2015.
Peltz’s efforts to gain board seats at Burbank, California-based Disney will be decided at the company’s April 3 annual meeting.
Shares of Disney were little changed in extended trading after the report came out. They closed Tuesday at $119.93, also little changed, and are up 33% this year.

The ongoing proxy battle between Disney CEO Bob Iger and activist investor Nelston Peltz just took another turn.
Peltz, co-founder of the asset management firm Trian Partners, has secured a major endorsement from the proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) in his quest to get a seat on Disney’s board. The endorsement comes less than two weeks before Disney’s annual shareholder meeting on April 3, where investors will vote for the for company’s board of directors.
The firm suggested shareholders support Peltz along with 11 of Disney’s 12 nominees.
“Dissident nominee Peltz, as a significant shareholder, could be additive to the succession process, providing assurance to other investors that the board is properly engaged this time around. He could also help evaluate future capital allocation decisions,” ISS wrote in a 34-page report obtained by Quartz that it shared with investors today.
The nod by the ISS is especially welcome news for Peltz: The group is remarkable effective in backing winning candidates for board seats. A 2023 report from Barclays found that about 75% of nominees endorsed by ISS end up getting elected.
Iger vs. Peltz
Peltz has been on a tear to snag himself — for the second time — and former Disney CFO Jay Rasulo a seat on the company’s board.
Trian Partners, which owns about $3.5 billion of Disney stock, released a 133-page paper this month outlining Peltz’s plans for the company, which include a restructuring of leadership, aligning performance-based compensation with shareholder value, and developing a strategy to reach margins similar to Netflix’s 15% to 20% by 2027.
“[D]espite its many advantages, Disney has lost its way. Disney fell from its #1 position at the box office, was late to enter the streaming business and doubled down on linear TV at the wrong time,” Trian said in a letter sent to Disney shareholders on Monday.
The investment firm Blackwells Capital has also nominated three candidates for the board.
But Bob Iger isn’t backing down yet. Iger and Disney’s nominees have received endorsements from another major proxy advisory firm, Glass Lewis, along with heavyweights like JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon and nine Disney grandchildren.

As a Disney shareholder for the Club, Jim Cramer has decided to support activist investor Nelson Peltz’s fight for seats on the board of the entertainment and theme parks giant.
“We’re going to vote the blue card,” Jim said Saturday at the second annual Club meeting in New York City.
It means he’s going to vote to put the Trian Partners founder Peltz and former Disney CFO Jay Rasulo on the Disney board.
Jim believes Peltz and Rasulo will hold Disney’s board and management accountable for making changes to fix the business and turn around the company’s underperforming stock.
For its part, Disney is urging shareholders to cast the white proxy card for only the company’s 12 nominees.
The Disney annual is set for April 3.
Shareholders of record as of the close of business on Feb. 5 can vote at the meeting.
Jim said he respects the current board members individually but “collectively in that boardroom they’re just not that impressive.”
He added, “This is a board that owns very little stock,” arguing they don’t have enough skin in the game to act with the urgency needed to right the ship. Peltz doesn’t have that problem. He represents the biggest single block of Disney shares — some $3 billion worth — between Trian’s stake and that of ousted Marvel Entertainment head Ike Perlmutter.
Jim said he went to dinner last week with longtime business acquaintance Perlmutter to find out what he hopes to achieve by pledging his shares to Peltz.
Jim said Perlmutter, who sold Marvel to Disney for $4 billion in 2009 and was recently let go at Disney, wants the stock higher, costs down, and the bad movies to stop.
Jim helped Perlmutter manage his money in the 1980s.
Among the fixes outlined in Trian’s filing for board seats were to “complete a successful CEO succession; and align management pay with performance,” achieve Netflix -like margins in streaming, and target “at least high-single-digit operating income growth” at parks to ensure adequate return capital expenditures. “It is ridiculous to me that Netflix has crushed Disney,” Jim said. “With that brand name? And, those theme parks? Come on.”
Jim said Peltz has a track record of being a productive board member, citing interviews he did with the CEOs of Procter & Gamble, Mondelez and Kraft Heinz . “Those CEOs said that he did an amazing job, asking questions and stopping them from doing stupid things.”
Jim thinks Peltz can draw on that expertise to help Disney. “This is a classic situation where there’s a lot more value but it has to be brought out by others, not by management,” he explained. “I hate losing money.” DIS 5Y mountain Disney 5 years While Disney has recently stepped up its turnaround plans, Jim believes there still needs to be pressure on management given the long-term underperformance of the stock.
To be sure, Disney CEO Bob Iger has restructured the company and implemented aggressive cost-cutting measures since he returned to the C-suite in November 2022.
After the closing bell on Feb. 7, Disney issued a stronger-than-expected fiscal 2024 first-quarter profit as cost reductions across its many businesses boosted margins despite flat revenue.
Iger also brought back the dividend and put in a buyback.
A strong profit forecast for the rest of fiscal 2024 also helped fuel an 11.5% post-earnings stock surge on Feb. 8.
“I think the rally is because the company has had its mind concentrated by Nelson Peltz and by Jay Rasulo, former CFO who did not get to be CEO,” Jim said.
While questions remain about the long-term profitability of streaming, new CFO Hugh Johnston, who came to Disney from PepisCo, said on the call that the company is targeting double-digit operating margins, with a sense of urgency in getting there.
Peltz had pushed to get on Disney’s board in early 2023 but then called off the effort in a CNBC interview with Jim — hoping Iger was on the right track.
But last month, Peltz officially launched his proxy fight for seats. Peltz told Jim at the time, “This company is just not being run properly. The board oversight is awful.”
Jim agrees and the stock’s terrible track record reflects this oversight issue.

Most people who own shares and want to make more money would have incentive to vote for him.
Most people are only going to hear him quoted in things that sound like “Black Panther bad”, and I understand that…but the rest of the points he makes, like in his presentation video, are quite salient.
I’ll name just one as an example of where I’m coming from: most members of the Disney board don’t own many shares in the stock. Their incentive for the stock to go up is therefor not as high as would be ideal. That’s extremely worrying for shareholders and bleeds into extremely frustrating when you see the record salaries they are pulling in as the shareholders watch their investments cut in half. Imagine how that would feel.
Furthermore, boards are supposed to hold CEO’s accountable but many on the board were handpicked by Bob and can’t be counted on to do that.
Does Peltz say some stupid stuff? Yeah , I think so. At the same time, someone has to hold this board accountable. The stock has had an absolute terrible few years.

You’re 100% right. The guy you responded to just goes in all these articles saying how bigoted he is. Nothing to do with Peltz, nothing to do with how the board has no incentive to increase the value because they aren’t large shareholders, how Iger, the board, have not put together any competent plan for the company from succession, to top line growth, and much more. The problem is that Peltz is notorious for hacking off companies until there's nothing left like he did with General Electric and is being associated with Ike Perlmutter, who holds a grudge against Bob Iger and Kevin Feige, so I expect all of these things to happen soon after Peltz becomes a new Board member on April 3 just so that they can spite IgeFeige:

1. Iger would get fired and be replaced with Nelson Peltz, Ike Perlmutter, Elon Musk (who also has a grudge against Iger and is apparently a friend of Peltz), or even Harvey Weinstein after Peltz/Perlmutter gets him out from prison, or Elon Musk buys the entire company while Kevin Feige gets replaced with Ethan Van Sciver, Pete Docter gets replaced with John Kricfalusi, Jennifer Lee gets replaced with Chris Savino, and Kathleen Kennedy gets replaced with Ben Shapiro.
   
2. Pixar gets sold to Comcast (which then would be shut down immediately since they already have DreamWorks and Illumination), Walt Disney Animation Studios gets sold to Sony (which then would be shut down immediately), Marvel gets handed back to Ike Perlmutter, Lucasfilm gets sold to The Daily Wire, and 20th Century Studio gets sold to NewsCorp.
   
3. Kevin Feige, Pete Docter, and Jennifer Lee gets banned from working at Hollywood ever again by Peltz/Perlmutter for supposedly "indoctrinating" kids with "woke and pedophilic agenda". Feige and Docter would flee to Japan with the former becoming a producer of Toho Godzilla films and the latter would become one of the new leading forces of Studio Ghibli while Lee would never be heard from again. Ironically, Kathleen Kennedy would be spared due to her veteran producer status.
   
4. All Disney's IPs become public domain.
   
5. Every single Disney's theme parks get demolished to make ways for Universal Studios and Super Nintendo World to expand.
   

Perhaps a lot of you guys will consider that as a good thing since everyone loves anime and hates Disney these days. Who knows? This might allow anime films to gross $1 billion worldwide and win Best Animated Feature Oscar every single year to fill in the vacuum left by Pixar and Disney. I'd even say that it could allow hentai and porn in general to become fully mainstream as cinemas start showing those widely in order to survive. Remember, anime films are already getting wide releases these days, so they alone won't be enough. As unrealistic as this might sound, we must always expect the worst and the most extreme without ever hoping for the best since no one expected:

1. Trump to become a president.
   
2. COVID-19 to destroy the entire world for at least a year.
   
3. Putin to flat-out invade Ukraine.
   

Why? Because they probably have no choice but to give Best Animated Feature Oscar anime films from now on since Illumination is not exactly a "good" studio, Sony Pictures Animation is on uncertain ground, DreamWorks Animation is being gutted by Comcast, and Walt Disney Animation Studio and Pixar Animation Studio will completely cease to exist after this month given that Peltz is pretty much confirmed to become a new Disney board member thanks to support of ISS, which is an investment firm that has a history of 75% of board member nominees getting voted in along with the support of at least 13 public companies like Wendy’s:

JOSH LIPTON: Taking a look now at a trending ticker of the day, Disney's proxy fight with activist Nelson Peltz. Heating up, Peltz winning a key backing from proxy advisory firm, institutional shareholder services, otherwise known as ISS. So Julie, yes, ISS saying shareholders should vote for Nelson Peltz at that shareholder meeting coming up on April 3rd. So now we got a showdown because Glass Lewis said shareholders should support the company backed slate of nominees.
But ISS saying no, Mr. Peltz has the experience given his history and other boards best position they say to bring a shareholder perspective.
JULIE HYMAN: Yeah, it's interesting the shares are not moving much today. And makes sense because at this point we're not going to know what the outcome is until April 3rd or shortly thereafter if the votes aren't all counted right away. So that tracks here. It's interesting because there were some other folks who are also supporting Peltz. It's companies who were previously targeted by him. Who said, oh, he's just-- he's a big old pussycat, he's great to work with.
They didn't say that exactly. But that--
JOSH LIPTON: That was the gist.
JULIE HYMAN: That he seemed scary from far away. But once he gets up close, he's still a delight to work with because effectively what they said.
JOSH LIPTON: Well, let's get to Yahoo Finance senior reporter Alexandra Canal for more on this. So Ali, what did you make of this headline?
ALEXANDRA CANAL: This is pretty surprising, considering what we heard from Glass Lewis earlier this week. And it certainly a big win for Nelson Peltz when you think about such an influential proxy advisory firm coming out in support of him. ISS saying that Peltz could be additive to the board, considering he's a shareholder-- a significant shareholder at the company.
In the report, ISS saying, quote "Peltz with his considerable experience on other boards and fiduciary duties owed to a large shareholder group appears best positioned to bring a shareholder perspective to the board. Now what's notable here? Is that ISS said that shareholders should not vote for trian's other nominee, which is Jay Rasulo. He's the former CFO at Disney. And they said just Peltz.
They also advised shareholders against voting for Blackwell's, not three nominees. That's the other proxy fight Disney's dealing with and that they should withhold their vote against current Disney board member Maria Elena Lagomasino. So the thought being there that Peltz would replace Maria Elena.
But going back to earlier this week, Glass Lewis which again supports Disney's current board, they referred to CEO Bob Iger's initiatives at the company and that he's really seemed to turn around the company at this point in time. ISIS did acknowledge. That they said, look, we understand that some shareholders might be fine with the way Disney is operating right now. However, their biggest concern stems from succession and all the drama that happened in 2020.
JOSH LIPTON: Which is Peltz's concern too and one of them.
ALEXANDRA CANAL: Which is Peltz is concern too. So in their view, they think Peltz could be someone that perhaps could bring a fresh perspective and could help with succession because that seems to be the biggest overhang of this company. But you were just talking about how Peltz has received some support. Disney has some support as well. Jamie Dimon, George Lucas, the widow of Steve Jobs. Steve Jobs remember was a very close friend of Iger.
So we'll see, April 3rd is that shareholder meeting. I think this proxy battle is not going to get resolved before then I think at this point Nelson Peltz wants to take it to the finish line. So we'll have to see what happens.

But then again, that might be considered as a good thing by some since anime is being beloved by new generation while Disney is being despised. Who knows? This might even allow hentai and porn in general to become fully mainstream worldwide since losing Disney would be a serious blow for cinemas and they would probably have to do something to survive. Remember, non-hentai anime films are already getting wide releases in the United States, so those probably won't be enough.
