2024.05.19 13:44 PsychedelicizedSoul Dizzy from antidepressant or insomnia meds?

I recently got out of inpatient and was put on Wellbutrin, so I’ve been on it for a week now. I’ve been feeing really dizzy, especially when I first wake up. I can’t really exercise or move around a lot because I end up having to sit down due to being so dizzy.
I know dizziness is a side effect of Wellbutrin, but I’m wondering if the REAL culprit is Trazodone, which I’ve been using to sleep. BUT this is why I’m confused: I took the Traz for about 4 nights in a row and started feeling the dizziness around then (I started the Traz + Wellbutrin around the same time), but not NEARLY to the extent it’s been affecting me these past couple days. These past few nights I stopped taking the Traz and it seems like every time I wake up, I can’t move my head without feeling like I’m spinning.
The reason I’m not sure if it’s the Wellbutrin causing my dizziness is because it’s always at its worst in the morning right when I wake up, before I even take my meds. On the other hand, I’m not sure how it COULD BE the Traz—I only took it for 4 nights and it got worse after I stopped taking it. Can I experience withdrawal symptoms after only taking for 4 days? I can’t imagine that’s very realistic, but I don’t know.
TLDR: I’m having super bad dizziness in the morning and I’m not sure if it’s from Wellbutrin or Trazodone, or even possible withdrawal symptoms from the latter.
*also, this might be worth mentioning. since i stopped the Traz my sleep has been absolutely horrible. I’m sure this plays a role.

As a small business owner, I can attest that the Royal 500DX Cash Register has been an absolute game-changer for me. The dual LCD displays provide clear visibility for both the clerk and the customer, making transactions seamless and efficient.
One of the standout features is its capacity to handle up to 2,000 employees, which is more than adequate for a small to medium-sized business. Additionally, the unlimited messaging capability ensures that you won't miss any important announcements or updates. However, the product does feel a bit flimsy due to its predominantly plastic design, which might concern those who prefer a sturdier build.
Another fantastic aspect of this cash register is the 999 Price Look-Ups, allowing for quick processing of transactions. Programming four different tax rates also makes the setup process incredibly straightforward. On the downside, the impact printer, although functional, occasionally feels outdated compared to more advanced models.
Overall, the Royal 500DX Cash Register has proven to be a reliable and user-friendly addition to my small business. Its features cater to my daily needs and have undoubtedly contributed to the efficiency and success of my operations.

🔗Sharp XE-A102 Compact Electronic Cash Register with LED Display

I have been using the Sharp XE-A102 Electronic Cash Register for a start-up retail business, and it's been a reliable and efficient partner. The compact design allows it to fit easily in our small store, and the bright LED display makes it easy for us and our customers to see the transaction details. The 8 departments feature helps us organize our inventory, and the 80 PLU/Items capacity allows us to input all our products without issues.
One of the standout features of this cash register is its ability to accept different payment methods like cash, cheque, and credit card, which has made it easy for us to cater to our customers' preferred payment options. Additionally, the time and date display feature ensures that our transactions are accurate and timely.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks to the Sharp XE-A102. It can be a little noisy and slow compared to some other cash registers, which may be an issue during peak hours when we need to serve customers quickly. Moreover, the instructions provided are quite small, making them difficult to read and follow.
Overall, the Sharp XE-A102 Electronic Cash Register has been an excellent addition to our start-up retail business. Its compact design, 58 mm wide reliable printing, and ability to accept multiple payment methods make it a valuable tool for any small retailer. While it may have a few minor issues, the majority of users, including myself, are satisfied with its performance and recommend it to others.

🔗Professional XE Series Electronic Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/63z5wl2red1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=838a61378141c4d4aaebc4a889e25d11c1c90157
I recently added the Sharp XE Series Electronic Cash Register to my tiny boutique store, and I couldn't be happier. Before settling on this model, I spent a lot of time researching various cash registers, but the XE Series stood out for its advanced sales reporting capabilities and seamless tie-in with QuickBooks Pro. The moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sleek, professional appearance and built-in SC card slot for easy connectivity and data back-up.
Setting up the register was incredibly easy, and within just a few hours, it was ready to go. Its intuitive interface made training my employees a breeze. The thermal printer was a pleasant surprise; it's much quieter and faster than traditional receipt printers. Plus, the customizable receipts with graphics and logos definitely give my store a professional edge.
One of my favorite features is the automatic tax system, which not only saves time but also reduces the potential for errors and makes reporting so much easier. The locking drawer ensures security and comes with multiple bill and coin compartments, making deposits a lot more organized.
The only downside is the rather complicated user manual, which could definitely be improved. It's not a complete deal breaker, though, as there are plenty of helpful YouTube tutorials available online.
All in all, I'm thrilled with my purchase of the Sharp XE Series Electronic Cash Register. It's a perfect fit for my small business and a real game-changer when it comes to streamlining sales transactions and accounting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cash register to anyone running a small retail or service business.

🔗Casio Single-Tape Thermal Cash Register for Business

https://preview.redd.it/fj9sgulred1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54574ad3b2350fad83a5af4e9ced9b7a3044e6a6
Casio's PCR-T280 is a fantastic single-tape thermal cash register that offers more functionality for medium-sized businesses than entry-level models. With the ability to track up to 1,200 price lookups, it offers a level of specificity in item sales tracking not commonly found in its class. It also allows businesses to track sales up to eight different operators, making it an excellent tool for business tracking and growth.
One of the standout features of this product is its hygienic, antibacterial keyboard. In our current world, where cleanliness is paramount, this characteristic provides a measure of peace of mind for both business owners and customers alike. Furthermore, its multipurpose tray can hold money in four bill compartments and five coin compartments, ensuring the efficient flow of transactions.
The PCR-T280 also boasts a high-speed thermal printer, which can be used either for customer receipts or as a journal printer for recording all the store's activities. Its mode lock with key control feature provides multiple operation positions through physical keys, providing a level of security usually found in more expensive models.
Although it is not touch-screen, its simple and intuitive design makes it easy to program and use. Some users did find the manual a bit difficult to follow, but with a bit of practice, most find it quite manageable. With its ability to handle multiple sales tax needs and its capacity for PLU capabilities, the Casio PCR-T280 has proven itself as a reliable tool for various businesses, small or medium-sized.
However, one minor drawback is the depth of the money/change drawer, which could have been a little deeper for added convenience. Despite this minor issue, the vast majority of users recommend this register for its performance and price point, providing an excellent value for businesses looking for an affordable, reliable cash register solution.

🔗Heavy-Duty Cash Register with Alpha Keyboard and LCD Display

https://preview.redd.it/rgcm3zured1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e90611839a08205344996bd346c4f76bb8e15960
As an avid user of cash registers in my grocery store, I recently discovered the Royal Alpha 1100ml Cash Register, and my experience has been quite satisfactory. This heavy-duty register is perfect for my high-traffic establishment, offering a reliable and swift cash management system that I can always depend on.
The first thing that caught my eye about this cash register was its single fast and quiet alphanumeric thermal printer, capable of handling over 1 million lines. It's been able to keep up with the constant rush of customers, making it a reliable addition to my store.
The large 10-line LCD user display and alpha keyboard ensure easy programming, which was a breeze, even for a beginner like me. The SD Card slot is another excellent feature, enabling efficient accounting data transfers to a PC, a necessity for any modern business.
However, I will say that the software included with the register can be a bit flaky at times. While it is supposed to read the x and z reports that the machine puts on the sd card, I sometimes find myself having to use the sd card to transfer report data manually. Additionally, getting in touch with their tech support doesn't seem to be very helpful, as they often provide no real technical assistance.
Despite these minor issues, the Royal Alpha 1100ml Cash Register has been a solid addition to my store. Its heavy-duty locking cash drawer with four slot bill and removable five slot coin tray, along with its automatic tax computation, has made managing funds and keeping track of sales much easier for me. If you're in need of a reliable cash register for your business, I'd highly recommend giving this one a try.

🔗Fast and Accurate Cash Register System with Thermal Printing and 8-Line Display

https://preview.redd.it/qu5h8dbsed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cbccc254fa34615f87dd2812357e0f2a57027db4
I recently discovered the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register while searching for a reliable and feature-rich solution for my little grocery store. After trying it out, I must say it's exceeded my expectations.
The first thing that impresses anyone who lays their eyes on it is the sleek eight-line display. It's not just a pretty face though; it's got brains as well with 7000 Price Lookups (PLU's), allowing quick and accurate entry. The inclusion of 99 departments is brilliant as it makes managing diverse product types a breeze.
My favorite feature? Hands down, the microban keytops. They provide built-in antimicrobial protection, keeping those pesky germs at bay, which is particularly important given the current health situation. And let's not forget about the large 32GB SD card slot for computer connectivity and data storage.
However, there were a few hiccups too. The lack of French documentation was a letdown for me, a French-speaking Canadian. Plus, a few customers have reported missing parts upon delivery, making the product unusable.
So, while there are some minor issues, the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register has overall been a reliable and efficient addition to my store. It's fast, easy to set up, and offers more than enough features for most small businesses. If you're looking for a cash register that combines modern tech with dependability, this might just be the one for you.

🔗Royal 100Cx Portable Battery/AC Powered Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/mpye61nsed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=53410d259f67c2fbda2560e107147dca104e0317
As a small business owner, I've been on the hunt for a reliable, portable cash register to make sales easier at my farmer's market stand. The Royal 100Cx, with its compact design and battery-powered operation, has been a reliable companion for me. The automatic tax computation feature is a game-changer, allowing me to easily manage sales and taxes on-the-go. However, the initial setup can be a bit daunting, and the manual doesn't do a fantastic job of explaining everything.
The preset department pricing and sales analysis by category of merchandise are standout features that have helped me keep track of inventory and sales trends. It's crucial for businesses like mine, where inventory and sales fluctuate frequently. The ink roll printer provides a receipt printout, providing a professional touch to every transaction.
In terms of drawbacks, one thing to note is that the tax computation is limited to only four rates – VAT, Canadian, and a couple of others – which may not cater to everyone's business needs. However, for my small farm market business, it's more than sufficient.
Overall, the Royal 100Cx is a dependable piece of hardware, and it's been a significant asset in streamlining my sales process. It may have a slightly steep learning curve, but once mastered, it's a powerful tool for any small business seeking a portable, autonomous cash register solution.

🔗Royal 435dx Cash Register with 16 Department Capability and 8 Clerks

https://preview.redd.it/txxdg61ted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=164bcd3d5dc97bc9b7528ca1c00673134ce19862
As a small business owner, I can attest to the convenience of the Royal 435dX Electronic Cash Register in my daily operations. Its 16 departments and 800 PLU's ensure an efficient flow of transactions, while the 8 clerk capacity and 4 tax rates enable seamless management, even for those serving in various locations or catering to international clientele.
One of the highlights of this cash register is the front and rear LCD displays, allowing both the clerk and customer to see each transaction clearly. The memory protection with backup batteries provides added security to safeguard data in case of a power outage, a particularly valuable feature for businesses operating in areas with unpredictable power supply.
However, a minor con would be the single station 57mm impact printer, which could limit the pace of transactions during peak rush hours. Also, the locking cash drawer tends to be a bit cumbersome, requiring more time than necessary to retrieve and return change.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Royal 435dX Electronic Cash Register has significantly improved my business operations, allowing me to keep track of transactions efficiently, even during peak hours. I would recommend this cash register to other small business owners looking for a reliable and feature-rich option that delivers exceptional performance at an affordable price point.

🔗Casio SE-S700 Cash Register: High-Speed Single-Station Thermal Printer

https://preview.redd.it/v48cimbted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9147acc58257ad1b649fd63e1da8c960a9a87046
I recently upgraded my old, heavy cash register to the Casio SE-S700, and I must say, it has made running daily transactions a breeze. The built-in rear customer display ensures that prices are accurate, while the 8 department keys and 999 PLUs make it a cinch to organize my inventory.
One of my favorite features is the customizable receipt header, allowing me to print unique messages on each customer receipt. The large, easy-to-read LCD display ensures that no mistakes are made during sales transactions.
However, there are a few cons to consider. The plastic construction doesn't instill much confidence in its durability, and I wish the cash register drawer featured a more secure locking mechanism.
Overall, the Casio SE-S700 has proven to be a reliable and efficient cash register for my small business, saving me time and preventing any hassles when it comes to handling transactions.

🔗Clover Station POS System with Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/01ab3vrted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0dc914dd36488d910cdfc6d729888d81d4bd956f
I recently picked up the Clover Station POS System for my little cafe, and it's been quite the rollercoaster ride. Imagine a sleek, brushed aluminum body with a 11.6" touchscreen display that's as responsive as a well-trained puppy. Sounds appealing, right? Well, it is. But let's dive a little deeper.
First off, the touchscreen is large and bright, perfect for both me and my customers to navigate. The high-resolution camera embedded within the system makes scanning barcodes or QR codes a breeze, which is super helpful for keeping track of inventory. Plus, the swivel arm swivels smoothly between my side and the customer's, making transactions feel seamless and personal.
However, there have been some hiccups. For one, the single power source for the display and printer can create a tangled mess of cords, especially when you're trying to juggle other peripherals. And while the connectivity options (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth) are great, I sometimes find myself struggling with Wi-Fi lags.
Moreover, the customer service has proven to be quite the challenge. You see, I bought the Clover Station from a seller who didn't provide much support. When things went awry, I was left to figure it out on my own. Needless to say, getting in touch with their customer service has been a nightmare. It feels like they're speaking a different language sometimes, and getting a call back is as rare as a winning lottery ticket.
Despite these cons, I still find the Clover Station POS System useful for my small cafe. It's a stylish, reliable system that offers a range of features and connectivity options. However, be prepared for the occasional frustration and confusion, especially when it comes to their customer service.
In conclusion, the Clover Station POS System is a mixed bag. While it boasts a sleek design, large touchscreen, and versatile connectivity options, it also has its fair share of challenges, such as the messy cords and difficult customer service. I'd recommend this product for businesses looking for a stylish and reliable POS system, but be prepared to face a few hurdles along the way.

🔗Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/1uu2h8zted1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4abee1a70906134d15e54eff47fffca50d24061c
I recently got my hands on the Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my business. With its 10-line LCD display, it's incredibly easy for me to check the current transaction and eliminate errors. The raised keyboard with 30 department key locations makes inputting data a breeze. Plus, with the built-in pop-up customer display, I can ensure my customers always know exactly what they're paying for.
One of my favorite features of this cash register is the ability to customize receipts with a graphic logo or programmable top and bottom messages, adding a personal touch to each transaction. The heavy-duty metal cash drawer provides more than enough space for five bill compartments and five coin compartments, making it perfect for a busy retail environment.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I've noticed during my time using this product. The instructions provided for programming the cash register could be more clear, leaving some users (like myself) scratching their heads at certain points. Additionally, while the register performs well overall, I have found that there can be some issues with the tape feeding, which can be frustrating at times.
All in all, the Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register has proven to be a reliable and efficient addition to my business operations. With its user-friendly design and robust feature set, it's definitely worth considering for any small retailer or grocer looking to streamline their cash-handling processes.

🔗Square Register Touchscreen Display, Gray

https://preview.redd.it/p75qt1dued1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d7961fd7f877439dcf756eb77fb73cfca5bb1bb2
I've been using Square Register - Touchscreen Display, Gray for quite a while now, and it's been a game-changer for managing my small grocery store. The system is incredibly intuitive, with a sleek touchscreen display that makes transactions a breeze. The customer display is perfect for keeping lines moving smoothly, and the compact design ensures my countertop stays clutter-free.
One standout feature of the Square Register is its seamless integration with other Square services, like inventory management and customer feedback. This has made it incredibly easy for me to keep track of my stock and stay in touch with my regular customers. Additionally, the hardware is built to last, which is always a plus when you're investing in new equipment.
However, there's one area where Square Register could improve – the lack of customization options. While the system works great out of the box, I sometimes wish I could tweak some settings to better suit my specific needs. Despite this minor flaw, the Square Register - Touchscreen Display, Gray has definitely helped streamline my operations and improve my customers' experience.

🔗Royal Alpha 583x Electric Cash Register for Small Business

https://preview.redd.it/ug2o5pxued1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4491905c43edb7ebe407895a6d30640aba8bf9b6
I recently purchased the Royal Alpha 583cx Cash Register for my small business, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This little gem has made managing sales transactions a breeze. With 99 departments, 1000 PLUs, 26 clerks, and 4 tax rates, this cash register is fully equipped to handle the needs of any small business.
One of the features that I absolutely love is the alpha numeric single station thermal printer. It not only prints fast but also allows me to customize the receipts with my company's message, making it a great marketing tool. Another great feature is the serial port for PC connection, which lets me use an optional bar code scanner, making the checkout process even smoother.
However, one minor issue I experienced was with the paper feed. It tends to jam at times, but a quick fix usually solves the problem. Additionally, the display that shows the purchase amount could be more visible, especially in bright lighting conditions.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Royal Alpha 583cx Cash Register to anyone running a small business. Its user-friendly interface, customizable receipts, and reliable performance make it a valuable asset to have in any retail or service environment.

2024.05.19 13:42 fidelitynetbenefits Gassy Brussels Griffon

Hi all,
I have a 6lb, 8 year-old Brussels Griffon who has had stomach sensitivities his whole life.
The food (and brand) he has been eating for several years (Castor & Pollux Organix Chicken & Rice) has recently been discontinued and so we’ve switched to Just Food For Dogs Chicken & Rice.
Twice in the past two weeks he’s had what seems to be bad cases of gas, with very loud stomach gurgling causing him to lose his appetite, walk backwards in pain etc. until he’s able to get it out. The poops are somewhat normal (soft but not diarrhea) and in the case of today (the second occurrence) he’s eaten, but I’m at a loss as to what the source could be and how to help him :(
Because he’s had similar stomach issues (4-5x per year) in the past we have Cerenia and depending on the severity of the issue, we will use it to help settle him. I haven’t given it to him today.
I experimented with some probiotics the week before his last similar situation (last week) - Visbiome and then Proviable capsules when the Vis ran out and he seemed to work well with the paste, so tried the other - and I thought they might have something to do with his issues, but seven days later and without them, he’s having the same issue - though thankfully more mild.
He eats two main meals a day with several “snacks” of his food throughout day, adding up the suggested portion from JFFD. At the moment he eats nothing other than his food. When he’s feeling better, he’ll have the occasional blueberry, carrot, or apple piece, but he never eats human food and we watch him like hawks on the street/in our kitchen - he never gets into anything that could give him garbage gut. He drinks a small amount of water per day and gets a bit more in his food.
For reference, he does not have IBD (though he has had raised bile levels in the past), hasn’t ever had pancreatitis with these issues, no parasites etc.
He is on Omeprazole for his suspected COMS and Pentoxifyline for Vasculitis (which we are weaning him off of as his ear margin hair has grown back.) He was on Colbalequin for borderline B12 deficiency but he hasn’t had it for a week to limit the medicines he’s on. He does take Glandex as well. Preventatives are Vectra3D and Interceptor.
A big note here is that he loves to lick (primarily his parents), and is definitely taking in a lot of excess air…
Given his case and history, what would you all recommend moving forward?
I would love to continue a good/ideally organic food regimen but he was on hydrolized protein in the past and it seemed to work for him - should we switch back?
How can we help mitigate the gas? Massaging him seems to help but ideally he wouldn’t have it at all!
Anything stand out we should change? I would do anything for this little guy.
Thank you so much for your help and all that you all do for our little guys!

2024.05.19 13:42 MoonWatt Is Lucifer emotionally stunted?

They had a great a great concept there but for an Angel that is supposed to have led a rebellion and ended up rulling hell (I take it he was a few hundred years old then) he acts like a preteen. Him needing therapy made sense. So did everything else except his juvenile antics, self obsession that everyone indulged & his treatment of Chloe & everyone else around him. The only person who had some boundaries was Maze.
After he came back with Candy, it was like watching a car crash. I swear I have seen teen dramas with more romantic depth.
Everyone seemed to exist to fulfil his needs. It was too much. Only Maze called him out and walked away. Chloe would call him out and continue to indulge him. The rest were reduced to his puppets including the most esteemed Angel Amanadiel.
And they end it with trying to glorify his selfish childish behavior as him finally growing up! He abandoned his child and Chloe FFS! What was with him even being considered for the God role over Amanediel when he clearly was just dealing with his issues. Like...No, no, no...
Other than Maze & Eve's relationship being problematic dynamic wise, her leaving was the only satisfying ending I recognize. Okay Amanediel also being what he was supposed to have been anyway and his relationship with Linda was satisfying. Which makes it harder to justify Lucifer just abandoning Chloe and their child. If God can make time...

2024.05.19 13:42 HopeandCopetillwedie I think I'm in love with my classmate and I'm worried I could ruin my relationship with her

I recently entered college and I have know her for 4 months now I believe...I don't know exactly when it started but when I think of a love figure she just pops in my head, and whenever I think about her I just want to be able to let her know I appreciate her, in many ways as a person, as a competent college...
There's also the fact that we share a big hobbie on Gacha games and she the first person I can have a genuine talk about them with, definitely was a huge help in making our friendship happen.
We also have a weirdly touchy dinamic/relationship, I think she already noticed I don't act like that with other people, which is partially because most people don't like and partially because, you know.
But I've also had a lot of worries about if I am enough you know like... I believe she just deserves better than me, someone more considerate or competent.
I also have this thing that whenever I go through some sad episode of my life I just lose all my confidence in myself, and to clarify I don't feel like that at the moment, in fact I feel that I could do just about anything, but my worry is "will I be able to properly support her in those times, will I behave like the person I want to become or just be a emotionally impulsive child" and at the same time that I can't imagine myself doing anything like that on purpose I still worry.
This may also be related to my self confidence problems but in a previous relationship I kept having intrusive thoughts about cheating, I didn't actually do anything or even had a specific person/concrete idea in mind and it made me feel disgusting, this also may tie with the fact that at the time I was very much sad and worrying if could be a proper boyfriend for that person, specially considering X's mental health problems, also worthwhile to say I gave up on that relationship and I also don't think I have the right to take conclusions on why it ended, maybe it was because of her toxic way of dealing with her own problems, maybe how sad seeing her made me or even that I was just a coward, I'm still making my conclusions on that whole event...and as much as I am embarrassed to make this whole confession I believe it important
And what if those things ruin our current relationship, I don't know what I would do, probably cry my eyes out but then I'd basically be alone.
Anyway my love life experience is close to 0 so I wanted to ask for advice here, but that doesn't mean I don't have my own conclusions, since I worry about what might happen so much the first thing though was to wait and see if I still feel like this after some time, but other than that no real plans just trying to treat her better, I make too many mean jokes about her height, she doesn't like it but I find it enjoyable to watch her
Pleeeeese help me

2024.05.19 13:41 Charming_Gene_5630 LLM or JD in US, which is more suitable to an Indian lawyer who is unsure whether to settle in US or India?

My seniors suggested that LLM is just another course with no much utility if I want to work for a while in US unless we do JD and pass NY Bar.
I`m thinking of taking 2 year accelerated course of JD so that I can finish it in 2 years just like LLM. Financially, I can put the same money i`m considering for LLM for JD and it leaves me oppurtunity to practice. But doing LLM means i have to return back to work as US does not have much job oppurtunities for a foriegn trained lawyer.
But what if I were to return to India after JD? Any unique job prospects for someone trained in US + Indian legal jurisdictions?
Please clarify some of my queries!
  1. Accelerated JD course V. 3yrs-4yrs JD Course
  2. Do we need any other tests along with passing NY Bar to practice
  3. How does the ranking of University for JD help with H1B (like any perks with university)
  4. Does doing JD already being an Indian lawyer gives any other unique oppurtunities?
  5. JD V. LLM Scope (I asked this being already Job prospects etc etc)
  6. How to secure scholarships, grants etc?
Further, if I should know anything else, please mention that as well.

Never in my life I thought this ch****a will stoop this low
Shares far right hindu propaganda and even goes ahead and calls exhindu rationalists “abdul” (a derogatory term against muslims in new india) only because they don’t agree with him.
I have advice to new and old exmuslims to never be like him. Never become friends with far right because “hating islam” is common between you. It’s like being friends with a white racist as a black person. They will always use you as a token “how can I be racist, see I have black friend”.
I am telling you from 1st hand experience. Here in UK, I have seen indian racist hindus seeking so much validation from gora colleagues by calling them “sir” it’s super cringe af. The word “sir” is only for goras and not if you have brown skin tone. While goras don’t fkin care they see everyone equal be it indian pakis or other fellow goras.
Even though I am not a muslim but the most racism I have received wasn’t from goras but indians only because I am from Pakistan. South indians tend to be extremely friendly and it feels so great having conversations with them on any topic. I am not excusing Pakistanis they live in their own eco chamber even they are racists towards Afghanis and indians as well.
This racist hindu colleague once thought it would be cool asking our CEO to call him a paki because he got brown skin. Our CEO actually got pissed and told him to never use that word ever again infront of him.

I recently started using the Royal 2000ml Cash Register in my bistro, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer! . The transactions are now much smoother and quicker, and the single alphanumeric thermal printer for receipt printing works like a charm. . The ability to keep track of a whopping 200 departments and up to 7000 price look ups is a godsend, making inventory management a breeze. .
Plus, accommodating up to 40 clerk IDs? . Brilliant! .
However, the lack of a key upon delivery was a bummer, but Royal was quick to address the issue and sent one over. . All in all, I'm thoroughly impressed by the ease and efficiency this cash register has brought into my daily life. .

🔗Sharp XE-A102 Compact Electronic Cash Register with LED Display

https://preview.redd.it/u2xh8u25ed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1cb8958dfe1e20c7beb553372eca6d057d80092

🔗Casio Single-Tape Thermal Cash Register for Business

https://preview.redd.it/rq19eaj5ed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17dd9e6f0b06c4ce2624f998f7edb89efbe5d04d

🔗Royal 410dx Electronic Cash Register for Small Stores

https://preview.redd.it/i658vs66ed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f933e8e96018b0410ca05806e7aa9d0ede192a47
I recently got my hands on a Royal 410dx Cash Register and I am absolutely thrilled with this little gadget. As a small business owner, keeping track of sales and transactions has never been easier. The programmable design allows me to set up tax rates, discounts, and prices on every product, helping me stay organized and efficient.
One of the features that amazed me was the automatic tax computation. It saves me a lot of time and reduces the margin for error during transactions. Another highlight was the 10-clerk tracking system, making it suitable even for businesses with multiple staff. Plus, the alphanumeric thermal printer is impressive with its quiet performance and excellent print quality.
However, there are a few hiccups. Some users have reported that there are no replacement parts available if anything breaks, which could be troublesome. Additionally, the lack of a slot to accommodate large bills, checks, or slips in the coin drawer made me a bit disappointed.
In conclusion, the Royal 410dx Cash Register is a great addition to any small store or business. Its simplicity, programmability, and exceptional features like tax computation and thermal printing make transactions smoother and more efficient. Despite a few cons, the benefits make it a worthy investment.

🔗Advanced Alpha Cash Register with Rear Customer Display

https://preview.redd.it/hmcf94m6ed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e9c541da58d1741f24ceaa1b3008a4ab1bab620
The Royal Alpha 1000ml Cash Register is an excellent addition to any retail store, especially those that require a reliable and user-friendly cash register. Having used this product for several months now, I can confidently say that it has not only met my expectations but also exceeded them in some aspects.
One of the most noticeable features of this cash register is its 5-line alpha, LCD display with a backlight that provides visibility even in low-light conditions, easing the process for both employees and customers. Additionally, the 200 departments and 5,000 PLUs (Price Look-Ups) along with an electronic journal make inventory management a breeze.
The thermal printer is also worth mentioning as it ensures quick, smudge-free receipts. Furthermore, the optional hand-held bar code scanner adds an extra layer of convenience for those who prefer digital tracking of their items.
However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. The sensitivity to electrical shocks can be problematic during storms, which we experienced firsthand with our unit. Additionally, some users reported issues with programming and customer support, although I personally haven't encountered these problems.
In conclusion, the Royal Alpha 1000ml Cash Register offers a promising combination of functionality, convenience, and ease of use, making it a worthy investment for retail store owners looking for a dependable cash register solution.

🔗Royal 520DX Cash Register for Restaurants

I've been using the Royal 520DX Cash Register in my small cafe, and it's been a game-changer. The rear LCD customer display and 9 digit operator display make transactions super easy, and the built-in thermal printer is a lifesaver for receipts. Plus, the locking drawer with compartments for bills and coins is excellent for keeping everything organized.
But, there are a few downsides. The paper rolls can be a bit wasteful, especially when customers don't want receipts, and it took some time to figure out how to program the register. It's also worth mentioning that my power supply is starting to fray, which is a concern for future use.
Overall, the Royal 520DX Cash Register is a solid choice for running a small business, with its user-friendly design and helpful features. However, the paper waste and potential power supply issues might be something to consider before making a purchase.

Buyer's Guide

Important Features to Consider

https://preview.redd.it/qm73gml7ed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=36dfcc73ad781f463ce3ff8610b3e024f3a81c73
When choosing a cash register for your restaurant, there are several features to keep in mind:
  • Touchscreen Display: A responsive, easy-to-use touchscreen makes transactions quicker and reduces the potential for errors from manual entry.
  • Integrated Scanner: An integrated scanner will allow you to scan barcodes on merchandise, reducing manual data entry, and increasing speed and accuracy.
  • Credit Card Processing: Many modern cash registers offer integrated credit card processing, providing secure and smooth transactions for customers paying with plastic.
  • Inventory Management: Advanced cash registers can provide real-time inventory management tools, helping you keep track of supplies and reorder items when necessary.
  • Scalability: As your restaurant grows, you'll want a cash register system that can grow with it. Consider a system that supports multiple registers, staff accounts, and other advanced features.

Considerations for Restaurant Use

Some additional factors to consider when choosing a cash register for your restaurant:
  • Ease of Use: Make sure the cash register is user-friendly, especially for employees who may not be tech-savvy. A quick learning curve will save you time and money on training.
  • Reliability: Cash registers need to be reliable in high-pressure, busy environments. Look for a system with a good reputation for durability and longevity.
  • Customer Support: Issues will occur at some point. Choose a cash register system with accessible customer support, preferably U. S. based and responsive.
  • Software Updates: Ensure the software for your cash register is regularly updated, with new features and improvements that enhance its performance and security over time.

General Advice

Before purchasing a cash register, consider these additional pieces of advice:
  • Set a Budget: Make sure you understand the costs involved, from initial hardware costs to any recurring subscription fees for software or services.
  • Try Before You Buy: Whenever possible, get hands-on with the cash register. This will give you a better understanding of how user-friendly the system is and whether it meets your specific needs.
  • Read Reviews: Take into account the experiences of other customers who have already used the product. Their feedback can provide valuable insights into the system's performance, reliability, and customer support.
  • Train Your Staff: Regardless of which cash register system you choose, make sure your staff are sufficiently trained in its operation. This will maximize its effectiveness and efficiency in your restaurant environment.

FAQ

What is a cash register for a restaurant?

A cash register for a restaurant is a device that aids in the management of transactions, tracking sales, and keeping track of inventory. It typically consists of a hardware unit with a display, keypad, and a cash drawer. Some modern cash registers also come with software and integrated features that boost efficiency, such as inventory management, employee monitoring, and sales tracking.

What are some important features to look for in a cash register for a restaurant?

https://preview.redd.it/pwlovhh8ed1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=87d998dfc1285b63ef8e0c2df0867e5c8269f169
  • Ease of use: A cash register should be easy to operate for both staff and customers.
  • Integrated software: Software that helps manage inventory, sales, and employees can be a useful addition to any cash register.
  • Reliability: The cash register should function reliably, especially during peak hours when the volume of transactions is high.
  • Scalability: The cash register should be scalable, meaning it should be able to adapt to the growing demands of your restaurant business.
  • Customer support: The manufacturer or reseller should provide robust customer support, especially for troubleshooting and software updates.

How much do cash registers for restaurants typically cost?

The cost of a cash register for a restaurant can vary greatly depending on the features and complexity you need. Simple entry-level models can start at around $100, while more advanced systems with integrated software and hardware can cost thousands or tens of thousands of dollars.

Do I need any special training to use a cash register at a restaurant?

Most cash registers are designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, so extensive training is usually not required. However, it's always a good idea to provide some training for your staff to ensure that they're familiar with the specific features and layout of your cash register system.

What is the difference between a cash register and a POS system?

A cash register is primarily used for processing transactions, managing inventory, and tracking sales. A POS (point of sale) system is a more advanced and integrated solution that combines these functions with customer relationship management and other features. POS systems typically require more complex hardware setups and software, and are usually more expensive than standalone cash registers.

Can I customize the settings on my cash register for restaurant use?

Most cash registers offer at least some degree of customization, allowing you to set up your system to fit the specific needs of your restaurant business. This might include custom keys for different menu items, custom sales reports, and other features. Check with the manufacturer or reseller of your cash register to find out exactly what kind of customization options are available.

How do I connect my cash register to my restaurant's computer network?

The process of connecting your cash register to your restaurant's computer network can vary depending on the specific hardware and software you're using. In general, you'll need to install any necessary software drivers, and then connect the cash register to your network using either a direct Ethernet connection or a Wi-Fi connection. Consult the manufacturer's documentation for detailed instructions on how to do this.

How can I prevent theft or fraud with my cash register?

There are several steps you can take to help prevent theft or fraud with your cash register, including:
  • Installing surveillance cameras,
  • Implementing regular inventory checks,
  • Educating your employees on proper cash handling procedures,
  • Requiring two or more employees to authenticate each transaction,
  • Performing regular audits of your cash register activity,
  • Installing anti-theft devices on your cash register,
  • Restricting access to the cash register and its related software.

How do I update the software on my cash register?

Updating the software on your cash register will depend on the specific hardware and software you're using. In most cases, you'll be able to download and install updates directly from the manufacturer's website. Be sure to follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer to ensure that the update process goes smoothly.

What happens if my cash register breaks down or stops working?

If your cash register stops working or breaks down, you'll need to troubleshoot the problem and, if necessary, order replacement parts or a new cash register. Check with the manufacturer or reseller of your cash register to find out what kind of support and warranty coverage you have in case of a breakdown or malfunction.

2024.05.19 13:39 Charming_Gene_5630 LLM or JD in US, which is more suitable to an Indian lawyer who is unsure whether to settle in US or India?

2024.05.19 13:37 1_Bastardo_1 Temporary Job Contract (6 months) and Registration at Commune: Advise Needed

Hi everyone,
TL;DR: is it worth to register at the commune for a short term job contract of 6 months? Consider temporary accommodation, process for change in addresses whilst waiting for confirmation of registration, health insurance when having EHIC, mobile number usage.
I'm a EU citizen living in NL and there's a strong possibility in having to move ASAP to Brussels due to a job opportunity. The contract will be of 6 months ad interim and eventually no possibility to continue at the company or wait for a new position to open/vacate for me. My intention is to move permanently to Brussels as I'd like to continue to work in my area, but I don't want to commit to a rental contract of 3 years without knowing how's it going to be in 6 months. I'd like some advise on which choice to make as having the national registry number unblocks all the other stuff that I need to tend to: eID, health insurance; bank account; istme identification, etc
I read a bunch of posts regarding this, and did my Google research.
Considering my 6 month timeline, I'm still not sure regarding:
  1. ~Temporary accommodation~:
    1. Is it enough to put a temporary address in a job contract and to register at the commune? I don't have other possibilities - friend's address, for instance - to do this and I'm not sure if my company will help me with this.
    2. Does the company need a registered address to have it on a job contract?
      1. Can it be from a temporary accommodation address?
    3. Do temporary/serviced apartments, in general, allow you to register?
    4. Would you advise on having temporary accommodation for the duration of the contract or after 2/3 months for a more permanent type? The savings/cost side is significant if comparing both, and I don't have much money available to afford a €1500 apartment for 6 months and eat up 50/60% of my income.
  2. If I ~change addresses~ - let's assume to a different commune - while I'm waiting for the commune registration to be complete - which can take several months according to some posts here and sometimes over my 6 month stay in Brussels -:
    1. Will it stop the process and would it be necessary to start another process in the new commune? I'm also considering the Police check for this.
    2. Also: do I need to register at the exact commune or does it have a central service like BruCity via MyBXL enough for any municipality?
  3. ~Health insurance~: as I have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), do I need to register with a mutualité?
    1. Company offers complementary private insurances.
  4. ~Mobile number~: is it worth to have a BE number when I can use my NL one?
Really appreciate your input on this for a more informed decision. Let me know if there are other things to consider based on this scenario.

2024.05.19 13:37 RJ_94930 [PC] [2000-2005] 2D Arcade Shooter, Defending a little Palm Tree Island

Platform(s): PC-only, as far as I can recall. I remember playing this on a Windows XP machine, specifically.
Genre: 2D arcade shoot-em-up with a non-scrolling screen (think Space Invaders, enemies appearing mostly from the top edge)
Estimated year of release: I can only guess, but it must have been 2000-2005 or thereabouts.
Graphics/art style: I can't remember for sure, but I believe the visuals were shaded, polygonal graphics rendered from a flat perspective (so, what we usually call 2.5D graphics nowadays). In any case, the art style was quite cute-looking, bordering on cartoonish. Very saturated colors and a fun vibe to everything. Most of the screen was taken up by the sea near the bottom and the sky fills out almost 2/3 of the frame, so there's a ton of space for enemies to appear and your own base was actually very small on-screen.
Notable characters: I don't remember any real characters being in this game - not even a voiceover during gameplay as far as I recall. If you consider it a character, well...the palm tree was definitely very memorable. The 'character' you control during gameplay is a small, red cannon. Your 'base' itself was just a tiny little sandy island in the middle of the ocean. Apart from your cannon and the palm tree, there was literally nothing. Think of the Bikini Bottom island, stick a cannon on it, and you're pretty much there.
Notable gameplay mechanics: It's a base defense shooter (again, not too much unlike Space Invaders), with the big twist that your own player character is actually invincible, and it's the palm tree that all the enemies (planes, airships, helicopters, ships) are after, usually bombarding your whole island from above. The idea is to shoot them down before they can get a chance to burn the poor little thing. Apart from the standard arcade gameplay (which is just surviving ever-increasing waves of enemies coming at your and your island), there was also a two-player local multiplayer mode, where you played against a friend in split-screen, trying to take out each other's palm trees. Lots of fun.
Other details: I believe there was actually a short intro upon starting the game which tried to explain why these guys are so bloodthirsty about that tree, but I forgot how it went. In terms of the art style, the overall humorous tone, and the very arcade-style gameplay, it reminded me a lot of PopCap Games (Heavy Weapon especially), but I could not find anything that they have made that seems in any way similar to this.

2024.05.19 13:36 UseApprehensive1102 Angels & Demons EX IV League Week Review!

Welcome everyone, to my Angels and Demons IV League Week Review! Hope you enjoy the ride.

THEMING, LEAGUE RULES AND SPOTLIGHT:

-Unfortunately, we barely have any Angels & Demons at all in this League Week. Barely any of the cards in the League actually make thematic sense. The League Spotlight also has only boring collection specialists, and Manticore is ojly a specialist debuffer, nothing much to say. At least the Energy rules for the League are still merciful enough not to force an automatic loss, giving you 6 minimum Energy as mercy.

CARDS:

Featured Basic Pack Cards:

-Devil's Coach Horse Beetle is a subpar generalist that does only 70 Power for 5 Energy. At least it is a Demon. Norman Borlaug, which we know, is not related to demons whatsoever, is a complicated Science card to use, as its setup means that you will get only 11 Curious Cuisine slots, which is not enough for Deep Fried Mars Bar and Vindaloo do to its setup requiring 6 Plant Life cards. Angel Nebula, which is at least an Angel, is an okay Energy generator that relies on Colors, that's simple.

Featured Limited Collection Cards:

-Azdarcho is an okay Fearsome Flyers card, typically used to buff that one Flying Mythical Creature you are going to bring for Dawndraco, but is neither a Demon or an Angel. Grandidierite is not related to something escathological at all, and is a meh Oceans support card. Philippine Tarier, not related to the afterlife at all, boosts your Primates by a decent amount if you are not winning the round. Battle of Ushant (1778) is an okay tiny card, but it is another non thematically-fitting card. Magnificent Anemone Shrimp finally allows you to make potentially powerful Crustaceans cards at last, I guess they tried to sell it like some kind of Angel? Novgorod, no relation to Angels or Demons at all, is a meh generalist, 3/50 is barely enough when your opponent has to lead by at least 40 Power. Lastly, we have Scott Kelly, I guess they added him just because "celestial" also means space? But anyways, he is a decent Combo Slave capable of inflicting 140 Power for 6 Energy.

Other Featured Cards:

-For the Common Ground 4, we first have Curse of the Ninth which is a subpar specialist supporter that can backfire, Got the Morbs, which is a dedent generalist that relies on you not playing it on the turn you draw it, Bluebird, which is a subpar discount Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko or Dracula Parrot, and Five of Swords, which is a meh zero-sum card. Don't get how "Got the Morbs" is related to Angels and Demons though. KELT-9b is a Planetside specialist that's quite difficult to work with, as there aren't many Exploring the Stars cards to take advantage of Plaanetside cards other than it. It is also not related to Angels and Demons in any way whatsoever. John Milton, who wrote Paradise Lost, which is about Demons and the Bible, is a powerful Write Stuff supporter and combo heavy hitter hybrid. Angel of Hadley, at least being an angel, is an okay generalist. For The Demons are Here, we have Baigujing, a meh combo slave with Skeleton that contains a PPT debuff, Nidhogg, which is honestly the only card that fits metawise, a difficult Norse Mythology card to use due to the Venomous Creatures requirement, and Oni, a very powerful Japanese Folklore supporter. Last but not the least, we have the Dust Devil, a specialist version of Animism and Siege Tower. It is also an actual Devil.

MY THOUGHTS:

-Overall, this week repeats the same mistakes I have complained about in other post-Season Pass weeks. Thus, I can only rank this League a bad 4.7/10.

🔗Heavy-Duty Cash Register with Alpha Keyboard and LCD Display

https://preview.redd.it/n49jkvmfdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de539e0ebd57052b2847b9d3ccc982047c4b050e

🔗Fast and Accurate Cash Register System with Thermal Printing and 8-Line Display

https://preview.redd.it/f33rfq0gdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9314ab913ffe6b00f0a11467485ee790805c89a
I recently discovered the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register while searching for a reliable and feature-rich solution for my little grocery store.

🔗Royal 435dx Cash Register with 16 Department Capability and 8 Clerks

https://preview.redd.it/p46ibzsgdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=388c3cad238c37035aa583f7a2fca3ca9b3546fb

🔗Casio SE-S700 Cash Register: High-Speed Single-Station Thermal Printer

https://preview.redd.it/bw8m582hdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cda297dee8ba2852e9a6050cf6d8cd0952683543

🔗Refurbished Sharp XE-A106 Sleek Microban Cash Register

I recently got my hands on the Sharp XE-A106 Cash Register and boy, am I impressed! This refurbished gem has been a game-changer in managing sales at my small business.
The first thing that caught my eye was the Microban antimicrobial keys. It's not just about style; it's about hygiene too! The large LED screen is another feature that I absolutely adore. With one line for eight digits, it's so easy to keep track of prices and sales.
The drum printing on standard 2-1/4" plain paper roll is fast and quiet, making it perfect for my retail store. Plus, with functions like eight preprogrammed departments, 80 price lookups, four clerk numbers, auto-tax system, and flash reporting, managing sales has never been easier.
But wait, there's more! The locking cash drawer with four-slot bill compartments, five-slot removable coin tray, and a media slot for quick deposit of checks and bills is just brilliant. Not to forget the easy programming that took me under an hour to set up.
However, nothing's perfect. The one downside I noticed was the slow printing speed. Also, you can't turn off the receipt printer for a "no sale" option.
All in all, the Sharp XE-A106 Cash Register is a reliable workhorse for any small business. Despite the few drawbacks, it's worth every penny. If you're in the market for a cash register, this should definitely be on your list!

🔗Royal 6000ML Compact Cash Register with 10 FT Cord, 6000 Price Look-ups, and 36 Departments

https://preview.redd.it/z2g8nyuhdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=81c258294f362b2178c26fb0205217b7bdf1d328
I recently purchased the Royal 6000ML Cash Register for my small grocery store, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer. This compact cash register has truly helped streamline our operations, making it easier than ever to manage sales and generate accurate reports.
One of my favorite features is the 36 Department categorization, which has allowed me to analyze sales data in a more detailed manner. Additionally, the 6,000 Price Look-ups (PLUs) have made entering frequently sold items quick and easy. The alphanumeric thermal printer, along with the front display and rear LED display, ensures that I can keep track of transactions with ease.
However, there have been some cons as well. The initial setup was a bit challenging due to the lack of clarity in the instruction manual. Some users have also reported issues with the power cord connecting properly to the register.
Overall, despite a few hiccups during setup, the Royal 6000ML Cash Register has been a valuable addition to my business. Its efficiency and ease of use make it an ideal choice for small-scale retail operations.

2024.05.19 13:34 austinthemaster03 You should put your spouse before your children unless you want to end up divorced

As the title says I think you should put your spouse first before your children. In this specific case I'm talking about a traditional couple who get married and have kids together. It gets a bit more complicated if one person already has kids and then gets into a relationship.
I believe (and also based off of what I've seen from friends and people I know) that most people either end up getting divorced/seperating or their marriage or relationship takes a severe blow once kids are introduced. I understand that you won't have as much time as youre used to having. But you can still try. It should be your number one priority to make sure that your significant other is satisfied in every way you could possibly satisfy them in whether it be romantically, sexually, or whatever.
You NEED to put your spouse first if you want to stay together and maintain a healthy marriage.
I have seen so many people who have a perfect healthy relationship, have kids, focus more on the kids than their relationship, start drifting, romance stops, intimacy and sex stops and then they become like roomates. If you want to raise a kid with your roommate then by all means go for it. But what's the point in even getting married or being in a relationship in the first place if you're just going to drop everything once you have kids. If you put your children first you would be better off having a one night stand, getting pregnant and raising your child that way. Because eventually your partner is going to leave anyway if you keep rejecting them and putting them second. So it ends up being the same way.
The divorce rates are over 50%, why? Because of people not putting their spouse first. You can have kids any time you want to as long as you're fertile. You can't always find the right man/woman for you though. So you need to cherish your partner and hold on to them.
In this whole post I'm mainly directing it towards women because based off of what I've seen, women are more likely to neglect their partner when kids are involved. It goes both ways but I see it more from the woman's side. For example my work colleague (let's call him John) has been in a relationship with his partner for 6 years. They have a 2.5 year old together, their relationship was completely fine up until their son was born. She completely stopped sleeping with him, or wanting to do anything intimate with him whatsoever, even if she doesn't feel like it she can at least suck his dick to make him feel satisfied but she won't even do that. She won't do anything for him and they argue daily from what he's told me. He told me he's lucky to get sex from her once every 3 months and she's now pestering him about wanting another kid, which will be the only time she will sleep with him will be to conceive now it seems.
You can say this is all based on assumptions but figures don't lie. Look at all the single parents out there and the divorce rates.
You need to put 100 percent into a relationship. If you don't, and put it on the backburner it will fail, or you will start to resent each other without even knowing it

2024.05.19 13:33 CodeTailor I 30M met a 30F on dating app. Red flags and pregnancy scare... or am I being paranoid?

I met a girl on dating app in the city.
When I ask her out on first date on dating app, she said "no lets wait until we are ready" because she somehow sense I'm not excited enough to ask her out. I explain that I am and we make plans. She asks for my full name and for me to send her more photos.
I thought first date went well and was fun, aside from a couple of odd points like she says she is a risk taker and insists on asking me about past relationship. She also seemed interested in my job and about finances, maybe she has impression that I am rich.
She is only in the country for work, she is from asia. I think she wants to stay. Her profile says she wants kids.
When we are texting after first date, I say and enjoy it and she says she didn't think I was interested because I didn't split bill, I didn't smile a lot. I explained that's just how I am actually really enjoyed seeing her. She seemed to be ok after I explain it. We plan the second date.
The night before second date, in text I said see you tomorrow, she said can we do 2pm, I said "as you wish". She accused me of not having genuine desire for the date. She says she has limited free time and only want to see people who really care about her. Then she text let's not meet up. I actually was really excited to see her at this point and I was shocked, so I call her and try to explain myself, she said she appreciates my effort with communication and we go on the second date. I feel it's little manipulative to say let's not meet up and then want to meet up with me after talking
I think it's odd she expects me to desire her so much.
On the second date. We get food and I thought it was going well again. Conversation was more light and fun. However, she tells me at some point that she expects a lot from guy in relationship because she is arrogant and was spoiled by her previous boyfriends. OK, little red flag.
We go back to my place. Were sitting and talking, she begins asking vague qualifying questions to me like:
Can you change for me? I want someone who will put me above their career, move locations for me, etc
I want to share everything, some people want partnership, I don't want that. Some people sign papers before marriage, I don't want that. (she was talking about prenup)
She seemed to be asking like how much I would be willing to do for her in a very vague way. She asked other questions along these same lines for like 20 minutes. It was weirdly demanding for a second date situation, and when she was done she asked if she should leave. I guess almost expecting me to say yes? but I said no.
Then we had sex. After sex, I go to the bathroom. I fill the condom with water from the sink to check for leak. Then I drop it in the toilet. I forget to flush it, then I exit and she goes into the bathroom. She takes a while in there. I was worried because I forgot to flush it.
After that, we cuddle for 15 minutes. I drop some jokes and she after each one she hits or slaps me. Like with some actual force, but she doesn't realize it hurts me and is not gentle. Hit me in the neck while we were cuddling. I tell her it bothers me and she shouldn't do that. She does it again like 5 minutes later, says it will take time for her to change that. I thought that's another bit of a red flag. Then she says she should be going because she has to do some work.
She wants to take a photo together before she leaves, i agree.
I am really confused by the whole thing. I don't feel like I can trust her. Seems like she is asking permission to ruin my life with her questioning. I worried she used condom in toilet to try to get pregnant. Super worried.

2024.05.19 13:33 OtherBee6365 I’m a former drug dealer/current addict (23M) that is struggling to let go of my SO (22F) due to her BPD/Suicidal Ideation

I’ve been struggling with opiate addiction for over a year now and am planning another trip to rehab.
I found a girl in my hometown who I love dearly. She’s sweet, passionate and empathetic with animals and my family really loves her.
When I met her I’d been selling drugs (cocaine, mainly) as a means to provide for myself. I was living with my parents at the time and would only use my own supply on occasion.
Fast forward a year and we’re consistently doing drugs together in a condo that I’d rented, I learn more about her messed up childhood and how she had been neglected, see the neglect with my own eyes and end up sympathizing deeply for her. She tells me she just wants to die and that the thoughts of death are so comforting to her.
I’d been so consumed by selling drugs that I’d left her at the apartment alone for nights on end while I was out selling, thinking I was ‘providing’ for her. She spiralled into addiction due to also having access to all of these substances. At this point we’re constantly under turmoil and chaos from my lifestyle (junkies showing up, police doing sweeps, me on edge awaiting conflict). She ends up cheating on me after feeling neglected (I had cheated on her prior and thus forgave her, I was a scumbag) and we fall apart for a bit.
I find out she’s pregnant weeks later, we end up having an ultrasound and subsequently an abortion. This devastates her, as she’d become attached to the baby as had I. During this period we’d broken up but I’d gotten back together with her after seeing the pain of losing her child and feeling so much for her. I could tell she wanted nothing more than to be a mother.
She ended up trying to take her own life by slitting her wrists out of pure anguish and misery. This broke my heart and put her in to psychiatric care.
Fast forward a few months: I just get out of rehab, she got out of the psych unit and we’re together. I’m back at my parents sitting on my ass doing drugs after a stint in rehab and praying to god for guidance. My mental health and social skills are completely deteriorated. I’m planning another trip to rehab as I’m writing this, but don’t want keep her hostage to such a toxic lifestyle. She seems to really want nothing more than to be a mother, but I’m a terrible influence on her constantly doing drugs in front of her and drinking with her at my parents. All we do all day is rot in bed and watch TV hoping things will get better.
She’s struggling with her mental health and I don’t know how to save her, free her or myself. I’m worried that if I end things she will kill herself, or think I don’t love her. I was thinking of buying her a car with my savings as she lives in very unfortunate circumstances, just so she can have a means of transport and get on her feet. She loves animals and I just want to see her blossom, but don’t know how to go about this and have both of us survive.
Sorry for how messy this is. Hard to type when I’m in this much pain. I have relationship based OCD, terrible anxiety and depression since I was a child.
TL;DR im deep in addiction and can’t let go of a girl im watching suffer who wants nothing more than to be a mother and love me. I love her but think im poisoning her and will just cause great pain for the both of us as my every thought is consumed by her.

2024.05.19 13:33 kaikoda I dunno wtf I am doing in life

2024 May: Every day I wake up to get on the computer, possibly download a game I won't end up playing but its nice the thought that I have a game waiting for me to play.
If not spent fully in front ont he computer monitor in a blackedout room for most days. I might chance at a morning walk then shower, then eat.
Its been over a decade I've been on meds I was forced on medications after I was voluntary patient in hospital at 17-18 years old. Im now 33.
My life before hospital was filled with movies, music and video games. Enough to keep me somewhat happy, just not that eager to be social. And thats before I knew I had autism (diagnosed at 15) the entertainment was a distraction from all the effed up crap I either experienced or witnessed.
Between 5 and 8 my parents split up, to this day I don't know why. I tried asking both of them but they both had variable different answers that changed. I was left trying to figure it out going back and forth between parents. But not having the social skills or the social knowhow to actually get answers I might need.
We lost the family home when I was 8. After that the neighbourhood friends dropped off. The family friends and their kids that I thought I got along with either left the area or just stopped having much to do with my parents.
Its annoying becasue I got along good with the girls my age. But once we all grew up things got complicated.
At school, I suspect the teachers gave me good marks when I was a troublesome kid. Looking back I was a lot meaner than I thought I was, I was bullied quite a bit and some years heavily, every day was worriesome. Like a cycle, I started off bad, then pulled my head in when my father found out and tried to work good, only that made the bullying worse. Like a cycle, I entered high school with the notion I won't be bullied again, I started acting up and it worked for 2 years. Then eventually I pulled my head in and tried my best regardless of how much people turned on me and abandoned me. Their was points were people were literally fighting over getting the seat next to me, I managed to get the whole class to form a big group for recess and lunch, the girls took a liking to me. But I was too stupid to do anythiing with it.
And once I started to try to work hard, the grades told another story, I wasn't that good. I had my moments, bookwork for science class. Maths above average. and more, if only 'he had applied himself a bit more.'
I still remember the end of high school, during science class (I didn't really get the work but I liked making diagrams and science writings) I had one book me mum got me, well, turns out it was one of those "cheap" "half" books (exercise book) that was half as big as a normal exercise book. Well, I ran out of space and pages very quickly. I was embarassed. I had to borrow a4 paper fromt he teacher just to do my work, i couldn't.
Another thing that was bad around that time was a old kid from my school moved back in town and started creating havok for me (his supposed best friend) and the rest of town. I hanged around with this kid for too long, he came back trying to milk off my "popularity" i "had" since he came back. He didn't realise I wasn't as popular any more. And it was obvious he was using me just like he was using everyone he could.
He got me started on smoking and drinking around 15. Damn near nearly smoked pot but we didn't know how to roll it properly.
I regret falling out with the popular group to make this kid the leader of a new group that was just shit. I fell out with the group because I realised that they weren't inviting me to their parties (Im probably glad though they were mostly males) and some of my better friends were going and going out on BMX's weren't as much a thing anymore.
Anwyays fast forward.
I stopped drinking with this kid, so caled friend of mine. and stopped being his friend. Maybe it was alcohol withdrawal but I felt depressed having no friends I could call and just hang out, no big commitments just woulda been nice some of my old friends could have been there. But they have made friends with beighbourhood bullies, and this kid that I stopped being his friend is in my opinion worse than a bully. He is a fr-enemy, a fake friend. Least a bully you can understand their intentions hwoever coarse or harsh and realise they are the bad one. But this kind of "friend" I have never came across, a fricken enigma of assholery. And by me giving him let, it let others just as bad flock to us and me, and use me for a place to party, drink, smoke whatever. I was there, but I was drinking myself through it in a probably chicken way to deal with it but I tried many times to push this kid away and he'd just manipulate his way back into you life. At the end I just broke down in tears and he said "Well if we're not friends you wont have any friends" then I said "If that means not having any friends like you, so be it"
I took about a year and I stopped working in a trade.
At the end of the year life got chaotic in my family and I felt trapped with my mum, so I tried to take a leap of faith. I went to hospital.
Now there is a lot I can share about life after the first hospital admission. A sorta err to caution for those that feel hospital "might" help. But I will summarize here and leave it up for discussion as I need to go to sleep.
Met my first love, now a girl I used to know.
Tried to work multipe times, and failed.
Went back to school, still didn't finish ha ha
Working through it, working with therapies in place and trying to help myself, with "their" help included.
Its been more than a decade on and off meds, but this time I'm trying to stick with it until I'm good and ready.
Recently I have gotten a case of gout (during last hospital stay, last year) and now I might also have "vertigo" so I can have sudden loss of bodily control if in a car, walking and other uncomfortable scenarios.
I share this hoping to give a peek into the life and trials of someone with autism. and if its wanted I may share my exp with schizo - type disorder as well as more about my hospital stays.
thanks

2024.05.19 13:33 Former-Wrap3089 Off my chest: don’t know why my now manager told me it was a hard job to do remotely

All right, I interviewed over last summer, started the job in September 2023. I did want a hybrid role. Ideally for me that would’ve been something like only two days a week on site or only come in for meetings. But I did want to have some in person component. Anyway, during my interview process, the hiring manager told me that he likes work from home just as much as the next person, but it’s “a really hard job to do remotely.”
I do data consulting. The hiring manager described me a world where you were sitting near your stakeholder would frequently interact with them throughout the day. Sounded great.
My next round interview was a panel with my manager, the sister team manager, and two of my would be peers. The sister team manager was taking the interview at his desk. The others were on the virtual call in a conference room together. I made the wrong assumption that the person taking the interview at his desk was at a different site than I would be, especially as he was on a different team. And that those taking the call from the conference room were at the site at which I would be. Nope. My hiring manager had traveled to a different location. I found out later those teammates of mine were based at a completely different company location.
After starting the job, I found out my primary stakeholder is a fully remote employee. I had teammates in several cities in the United States. And, I don’t think there’s been a full week where my hiring manager has made it on side for all of the days he’s supposed to (TWR). Everything is an excuse to work from home, even the simplest things. So I drive into the office to take virtual meetings.
I really just need to get this off my chest. One of these days maybe I’ll snap at my hiring manager. Because I feel lied to. I just remind myself that because he works from home so often that he can’t judge me if I need to for whatever reason.

2024.05.19 13:33 CannotPretendAnymore In Defense of the Ideology of Depression

Most people are very hesitant to interact with someone who is depressed.
This is because of the huge dissonance that wanting to live your life yourself and imagining that you can spend your life not wanting to live creates.
Most neurotypical people would probably say that they can't understand the idea of not wanting to live at all and how it must be the worst kind of way to go through life. Killing yourself because of your own pain must be selfish after all and it doesn't make sense anyway to ever want to die (when you never yourself had depression in the first place, this makes sense).
But I'd argue that it is actually the other way around. By the logic of how it is presented in "the selfish gene" by Richard Dawkins, a modern way to see how life and individuals work, untainted by religion or other delusional ideology, you can see how we're ultimately selfish creatures. There's ultimately no higher purpose then the own need to survive and everything else in our experience is just evolutionary devolped subconscious mechanisms with the purpose to keep us alive.
Human beings are ultimately destructive, even when they actively don't want to be as Peter Singer (https://www.britannica.com/biography/Peter-Singer) showed in his work “Famine, Affluence, and Morality” that not spending all of your resources on making people's lives better, than you're ultimately an evil person. There are people starving and suffering all over the world. We don't help them and this makes us ultimately evil.
We are not a species that is devolped to help each other in this abstract way. To help people that you do not know. But we developed a society in which we COULD do that and since we don't and are preoccupied with our own little life's, we are evil.
The human is ultimately an evil creature. God, didn't want us from the moment that Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge. We are objectively abhorrent and shouldn't exist. Even the bible can be interpreted this way. The original sin was never removed and it doesn't make sense to defend our existence, since we're "not completely evil". What kind of evil what would want evil to persist? A pretty bad one is my answer and that is why we objectively all need to die.
As Mainländer pointed it out in his work "the philosophy of salvation", the universe is slowly dying and death is just our last step in evolution. It's inevitable anyway.
But why does all of this need to be said? Because the human is still delusional, even in modern day. He clings on to hope, even though we had enlightened people who realised the truth and killed themselves as a consequence, but it seems like the human species will have to go through more suffering, poverty and war to understand our inevitable final step of evolution.
This irrational psychological defense of one's own ego and ideals is something that needs to be understood. Philosophically, constructing a certain mental imagery or narrative to disprove the truth of pro-mortalist mentality is called phantasm. We need narratives like a life after death or an I that transcends your mortal body (the idea of an soul) to protect our identities and what we believe to be true. This is obviously a logical fallacy, because if there is nothing after death, why would we care if we're dead anyway? It's not like we cared about not being alive before we were born before, so what would change if we were not alive again?
The depressed person doesn't have this weakness. He has accepted the futility of life and is ready to see the truth for what it is. Depression isn't an mental illness. It's one of the last steps of human evolution. Of course we regress into religion and other ideology again. But that's the thing with the one and only ideology that is true. We will never believe in it, until we have no other choice than to accept the truth. The only truth available: Death is inevitable and on the way to death, there is the inevitablity of suffering, which means that death is ultimately better than being alive since at that point there is no possibility of suffering anymore, for ever.
I don't think that we need to kill everyone. For now it would cause too much suffering, since people still think that it is necessary for them to life. It would be morally better to just wait until we have destroyed ourselves to a point, where even the intellectually impaired feel nothing other than suffering every day and realise the truth.
Mainländer already knew that self-destruction isn't something to be afraid of. The entire universe is already on it's way of dying the heat death. If there is a god, he wants us to know that we shouldn't exist. Maybe this life is a sort of punishment for every single one of us.
Which hell would be the worst kind of hell after all? One in which every single other participant will actively tell you that you aren't in hell and that you should keep going an existence which is dominated by suffering.
Fortunately, the truth will reveal itself for every single one of us in the end.
