We followed up with our primary vet on 4/5/24, there was no change after using the drops for 1 week. At this point he referred us to an animal ophthalmologist. We scheduled the appointment for 4/26/24 (that was the earliest option they had).
On 4/20/24 he showed signs of pain/discomfort so we decided to bring him into the emergency vet. They redid the glaucoma test, ulcer test, and checked for abrasions (all normal). They virtually consulted with an ophthalmologist (sending photos and test results). This ophthalmologist diagnosed it as a uveal mass and recommended enucleation. They sent him home with carprofen 100mg 1x/day, gabapentin 200mg 2x/day, and neo/poly/dex ophthalmic solution 2x/day.
On Monday 4/22/24 we called the ophthalmologist office we had our original appointment scheduled with for 4/26/24. We asked to be seen earlier for a second opinion on the uveal mass diagnosis from the emergency vet. They got us in on 4/22; in which they repeated the tonometry test, fluorescein stain, and also did a schirmer tear test. All were negative/normal. The ophthalmologist did an exam of his eye with different scopes and agreed with the diagnosis of uveal mass; however he said there’s a cystic component as well. Below are the results of all the diagnostic tests they ran:

He recommended enucleation with biopsy of the mass. He said the mass wouldn’t be surgically resectable which is why the full removal is necessary.
We have scheduled his surgery for the end of this week. I’m mostly just feeling guilty and nervous that he’s so young. I am happy we got the second opinion and I trust the vet teams; I just want to be sure that this is the right course of treatment for my boy.

We've got an appointment next week and will hopefully get her some allergy meds, or anything else she needs, to clear this up with the big guns. • I prefer to avoid cyclists

Some possible options are below. Are there any of these or others that you would or would not recommend?

• Champion Lodgepole via Castle Rock trail and surrounding forest at top -- I've gone on this hike ~4 years ago and enjoyed it. Most people seem to prefer the Castle Rock portion. I wasn't as impressed with the rock, as much as was at the top with scenic lake and surrounding forest at the top. I would have enjoyed spending more time at the top and may repeat.
• Pine Knot to Grand View -- I also enjoyed this one. The forest area along the way up was really nice. I continued along the skyline trail at the top, which was just okay -- more rocky and less forest. I plan to skip it this time.
• Cougar Crest: 5 miles, 800ft elev -- Seems okay, wary about the many comments that mention terrain being "rocky".
• Grays Peak -- 7 miles, 1200ft elev -- Seems okay, doesn't have quite as good reviews as the other trails listed above
• Bertha Peak -- 7.5 miles, 1400ft elev -- Seems okay, a few comments mention rocky, but not as much as Cougar Crest. I prefer the pictures from Bertha Peak to Cougar Crest and Grays Peak by a small margin.
• Crafts Peak -- 7 miles, 1600 elev -- I prefer the pictures to any of the crest/peak trails above by a good margin. I also expect it will be much less crowded. Unfortunately it is located out of the way in Green Valley Lake. I expect I'll have a lot more total driving on winding roads to get there, even if I stop as a break on the way there/back.
• Jenks Lake + South Fork to Dry Lake: 11-15 miles, 2300+ft elev -- This would probably be my number one choice in 2020. I like how I can combined forest with lakes, and it being in a less crowded area. However, post-2020 pictures show a lot of burned forest areas, which I am not as fond of. I'm not sure if people just like to take pictures of the burned forest areas, or if it's going to be like that the whole way. These trails are off the 38. If I go to big bear on the 38 instead of the CA-18, it will add another 20 minutes to the drive. However, the 38 looks less winding than the 18. I am prone to motion sickness, and would gladly add another 20 minutes, if it meant fewer winding roads. It also could be a pleasant way to break up the long drive.

We walked down one of the narrow aisles, which had dozens of bags of ‘kibble.’ My translator says it is “ground meal shaped into pellets, especially for pet food.” That does not sound very appetizing. Scanning the ingredients it contains mostly different grains and other fillers, which is surprising from predator food, but it also lists ‘animal byproducts’ which sounds horrifying. I guess whatever the Terrans do not end up eating gets tossed to the lesser predators.

The vehicle comes to a halt next to the building and the old one steps out. After he opens my door, I step out of the vehicle as well. I follow him to the entrance of the den, which is a simple wooden door painted bright red. And if I remember correctly that is the color of blood on this planet. So savage!
Upon entering, the interior looks very similar to the outside with wood adorning the walls and floors. Though I was surprised how similar the layout was to the living quarters back at the guild. The room at the entrance looked to be some kind of lounging room with a small couch and rug in the center of the room facing a screen mounted on the opposite wall. To the left of the door was what I could only assume was a kitchen with storage cabinets covering the walls.
The elderly predator returned to the car to retrieve the items it purchased at the ‘pet shop,’ which makes this the best time to do some sleuthing. I made my way past the lounge room into the depths of the den. Past the entrance room was a hallway leading further back. It was adorned with photographs filled with predatory snarls. I did my best to ignore them and worked my way further down the hall.
Up ahead there was a door and upon opening it I found a room which, by the smell of it, must be a lavatory. That really reminded me that I had to go to the bathroom. My cell did not even have a waste pit. I made my way quickly into the room and relieved myself with haste. Once I finished I thought about flushing the ‘evidence,’ but that’s when I heard the front door open again, so I was forced to hurry out of the room.

Then it placed them both on the floor. It looks like the food situation might not be any better than my previous arrangement at the holding pen.
“Well, I spose I should eat dinner as well.”
It opened the large metal cabinet and began looking through it. I snuck a little closer to get a better look. When I approached I could feel the chill coming off of it, so I could assume that it was some kind of refrigerators unit. Must not be that primitive I suppose. After a bit of scrounging around the refrigerator, the elderly one pulled out a clear plastic container. It was green on the inside. Is it really going to eat rotten flesh!? I guess that is expected of a predator.
As it opened the container I braced my nose for the putrid smell of rotten flesh, but it never came. I watched as the predator poured out leafy greens into a bowl. Huh, a predator is eating plants?

I watched as the elderly predator finished its salad. It brought the bowl and utensils to the sink to begin washing them. I waited in the corner of the kitchen for him to finish and leave. It looks similar to beds I saw when working on the Iftali and Sulean homeworld, though this one is a lot smaller. It placed the bed down in the living room next to the couch.
It paused, “Oh wait. I should probably take you outside before turning in for the night. Don’t want a mess in the morning, come on.”
I follow the predator as instructed, wondering what it wants me to do now. It leads me out a side door into a grassy area. “Okay… do your business,” it said.
What? Does it want me to do something? I just look around seeing if there's anything to give me any clues.
“I guess that didn’t work. Go potty.”
What?! Is it commanding me to defecate?! Outside! I guess he does think I am an animal. But there is no way I am doing that especially with it watching me. Why is it watching? Is it some kind of pervert? Grr, Screw the plan!

Okay craziness aside, I need to eat some real food. I finally stood upright. Ah my back! It was already getting bad enough when I was back home. Hopefully I can get used to this because walking on all fours is killing me right now.
I walk over to the refrigeration unit and slowly open the doors trying to stay quiet. Looking around the inside I am surprised to find so many vegetables. However, I did spot a slab of flesh towards the back, which I did my best to ignore.
Now, I can not just eat anything, it might notice if food is missing. Scrounging around for a [minute] my eyes eventually find a plant in one of the lower drawers. It looks like a big bundle of large leaves. I take it out and pry off one of the ones on the outside. It comes off relatively easily with a crunch. Hopefully this is edible. I bring the leaf to my mouth and bite down. It makes a very satisfying crunch as a do. There really is no distinct taste, but I am so hungry that I don’t even care if it is bland.

There must be something interesting here. However, there was nothing but a handful of photographs. Looking at them in the dim light I was able to make out the wide snarls that adorned the faces in the photo. I guess It makes more sense now since the snarl is a ‘happy’ expression. It is still very strange to me.
The photo closest to the front had the old predator standing next to a much younger predator, which appeared to be wearing Terran military pelts. Strangely, the young one has very bright orange hair on the top of its head.
Next to that one there was a similar photo, but the old predator looked slightly younger. The other Terran in the photo looked similar to the first. They did share the same bright orange hair, but the enlarged mammaries indicated that this one was a female.
I then spotted another picture including the same female, but this time she was next to a different predator and she was holding a Terran pup, which had the same orange hair. Perhaps the female was the mother of the other one. Most of the other photos appeared to be different combinations of the same four predators: the old one, his offspring, his offspring’s mate, and then their pup.
I moved over to the other side to see if I could find anything more useful. There was a photo that stood out to me. It pictured the old one, but he looked significantly younger even more than the other photos. Standing next to him was a female, which had the same orange hair as the others. Who was this? I had not seen it in any of the other pictures.
I searched around to see if I could find any more with this female in it. Towards the back I saw two pictures next to each other. The one on the left had the female again with the old predator. Laying in a bed she was cradling a newborn pup in her arms. However, the photo on the right was the old one with the pup in its arms. The pup appeared to be a year or two older in this one, but where was the mother? Looking at the older predator I saw the look in his eyes. I know that look. Cerci…

I'm planning on stopping in Eugene, Oregon along the way. I'm not familiar with Lane County or Eugene but we're looking for places to stop, places to eat & drink, hikes, fun activities in town, and cool spots to check out really.
The one place I found in Eugene is: Cluckin Dog Eugene, but I'm open all recommendations

I am looking to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue. Before anyone says it, I work in Law Enforcement and have worn boots for 18 years for 12-14 hours a day so it's not a delicate skin thing. I decided to upgrade and get a pair of Nicks Tactical Boots. I ordered them with the Padded Top for additional comfort. They look absolutely amazing and can see they were made with quality. However, the stitch on the inside is not flush with the rest of the boot and sticks out and digs into my upper ankle causing great pain. Everything else fits fine and have even tried different styles of lacing it up which has not worked. I tried to walk them out and have a few hours in them with just walking the dog around the neighborhood but that does not seem to help and becomes extremely painful where the stitch digs in. I have taken a few photos that show how the stitch sticks out and digs in. Has anyone had a similar issue and if so, how did you fix it.

Hello One piece fans, I have stumbled onto something that I believe to be tangible to One Piece, a parallel of sorts. It all started when I was looking into different yokai’ to find an enemy or some sort of opposite, which lead me to stumble into Tengu’s, whom are depicted as heavenly creatures/ and considered a type of yokai. Then as I read further, I found Sarutahiko Ōkami,
“considered to be the original model of Konoha-Tengu.” , and “He is the Shinto monkey deity who is said to shed light on Heaven and Earth.” But is also referenced to being a “god who illuminates the sky and the earth" in Ise, and was worshiped by local believers as the sun god.”
(Very basic in history, with there being multiple sun gods in history) (Stay with me now)
This is where I think I’m onto something! I went back to look into the Tengu, and I was able to find the Tiangou, the eating of the sun, and the moon. There are two types of Tiangou, a white one, and a black one. In my findings, “Tian Gou comes in two forms - one, a rare beast depicted as a white-headed fox that brings about peace and tranquillity and offers protection from harm, and two, a deity that is depicted as a black dog that eats the moon. “
(I’m honestly just finding this so it’s hard to put in my own words so imma just copy and paste the text, I wanted to save it and go in depth, but I believe if more people saw it they would able to see it and go even further if I’m on to something)
Tiangou White: Tian Gou was first referred to in the "Classics of Mountains and Seas" first. Below is a snippet from the original text where Tian Gou is mentioned, followed by a rough translation:
“又西三百里，曰阴山。浊浴之水出焉，而南流于番泽。其中多文贝，有兽焉，曰天狗，其状如狸而白首，其音如榴榴，可以御凶。”
“Another 300 leagues to the west lies Yin Mountain. The source of the River Zhuo Yu is located here and flows south into the Fan Marshlands. The River Zhuo Yu is full of marine life with patterned shells. On this mountain there lives a beast which looks like a fox* with a white head. It is called Tian Gou. The sound it makes is similar to “liu liu.” It can be used to ward off evil."

There seems to be a lot of different versions of the origin story for Tian Ggou's second form. Each starts pretty much the same way, with the "soon-to-be" Tian Gou represented as a "black-eared hound" that is loyal to its master, Hou Yi (后羿 hòu yì). but for the sake of Tian Gou's story, all you need to know is that Hou Yi is a master archer that is granted an Elixir of Immortality for his numerous acts of skill and courage (shooting down 9 of the 10 Suns and defeating several mythical beasts). From there, the official story goes:
Hou Yi's wife, Chang'E (嫦娥 cháng'é), took the elixir before Hou Yi in an act of selfishness (to maintain her youth). Shortly after she began to feel weightless and began to lift from the ground. As she rose to the heavens, Hou Yi's "black-eared hound" who was behind the door witnessed her betrayal and began to bark at her. The hound then licked the last drops of the elixir and also began to rise. As he did, he also grew in size. Seeing this, Chang'E sought refuge behind the moon, but the hound swollowed the moon in one, taking Chang'E with it. When the Jade Emporer (玉帝 yù dì) and the Queen Mother of the west (王母娘娘 wáng mǔ niáng niáng) heard that the moon had been swallowed by a giant hound, she ordered her soldiers to capture it. She immediately recognised the hound was Hou Yi's. She renamed it Tian Gou and assigned it to guard the Southern Gate of Heaven. Tian Gou received a "Seal of Grace" and spat the moon and Chang'E back out.

Another version states that Hou Yi's apprentice, Feng Meng (逢蒙 féng méng), breaks in to Hou Yi's house when he is out hunting in order to take the elixir of immortality for himiself. His wife, Chang'E, realising Feng Meng's intent quickly drinks the elixir and begins to rise in to the air. She finally reaches the moon and becomes a Lunar Deity, reluctantly leaving her husband on earth as a mortal.
(Imu could be a woman and the moon in this case is Mary geoise, it would be weird if they were the moon tho)
Another version states that Hou Yi's acts of skill and courage go to his head, he proclaims himself king and becomes a tyrant that subjugates his people. Understanding that the elixir of immortality would allow Hou Yi to continue his rule of cruelty indefinitely, Chang'E drank it first. As she rose toward the moon, Hou Yi tried to shoot her down, but failed. She then hid behind the moon where she remains to this day.
(Imu could represent hou yi, with the tyranny, and a werid thought what if Chang’E is Nefertari Lili, with her disappearing and all)
And there's even another version that follows the official story word for word, the only difference being that Chang'E didn't take the elixir to maintain her youth, instead she took it because she found out that Hou Yi was being unfaithful to her!
(What if Imu and Lili were doing stuff on the side he could have had a wife idk)
Regardless of Hou Yi and Chang'E's relationship, Tian Gou is now most well known in Chinese culture for "eating the Moon and the Sun." When a solar or lunar eclipse occurs, people will proclaim that Tian Gou is here and that he has taken a bite out of either celestial body: "天狗食日" (tiān gǒu shí rì - Tian Gou has eaten/taken a bite out of the Sun "天狗食月" (tiān gǒu shí yuè) - Tian Gou has eaten/taken a bite out of the Moon
It is for this reason that Tian Gou (in this form) is seen as a bad omen. In fact, his arrival (an eclipse) is welcomed by the beating of drums and the release of fireworks and firecrackers in an attempt to scare him off.
