So apparently I was documented a 1st write-up on 5/15 for not wearing a safety harness for the RF scanner, & have been wearing it on & off with having to deal with heat rashes from the straps on my neck & constant friction on collarbones. These things literally get in the way of manually processing heavy/oversized packages (non-conveyable) but are required at all times for our "safety" (risk of liability) as if we are safer from injuries if we keep the scanner conveniently dangling around our thighs within reach. You can tell I hate them lol! Anyway, the 1st write-up hasn't been delivered yet, as I have not been talked to by an AM to sign & acknowledge. I was only aware because an AM informed me I was apparently documented by some other AM in a different area the day prior & she felt the need to give me a heads up as she was shocked to see it pop up on ADAPT or something.
An OM also became aware of the 1st write-up after having to help me take a 10-day unpaid break & verified with HR that it was indeed documented on 5/15 which disqualifies me for a short work break for 30days. I've worked in our building since the building launched & some of the AM's I originally worked with already moved up to OM & Sr. Ops, so they know my work ethics & regularly acknowledge my contribution to the team saying "I always go above & beyond" & tell new AM's to ask for my help when they're struggling to get CPT's out. Anyways, I've worked all the shifts with an average 50-55hrs weekly maxing out the 6day/wk schedule, & have no problem working my butt off for the steps & making time go by alot faster & personal sense of accomplishment. I've never been written up or coached in the past 2 years until recently with our building operations expanding & new AM's coming & going (a handful are only here for 2week training before flying out to launch new buildings in other states). Of course the direct AM's I've worked with always appreciate me & don't bother me with the ADAPT to-do lists. I always go straight to work & I'm always pulled to run for time-sensitive tasks or urgent trailers.
Just this Wednesday, 6/5, about 3 weeks later of wearing the safety harness on & off, another AM popped up out of nowhere & I happened to be the 1st one on her line of sight processing non-con, & she was literally going through us from front to back like a drill sargeant. I realized immediately she was checking so I grabbed my harness from 2ft away & attached it to the scanner while she's doing her safety rant to be compliant while saying "I have them but I just took them off because I was getting rashes". So Friday comes & another AM who I've worked with came to find me asking if I've seen the other AM because apparently I was just given a 2nd/final write up for not wearing safety harness on 6/5. He says there's been a trend of new AM's writing-up hard workers left & right among all the other random associates & it's nonsense that hard-working people who do majority of the workload are getting final write-ups for harness or safety shoes or PPE.
He told me he's not delivering the write-up but made me aware that if another AM does deliver it, a final write-up is termination & I should plan what to do. Either sign it so I can submit an appeal or resign immediately before it is delivered (still in goid standing) & reapply within a week for any open spots for hiring in any Amazon building. I would lose tenure & pay raises with the 2nd option, but we're preparing for PRIME week so there'll be a lot of open spots in multiple buildings in the area.
I happen to be out for a whole week starting today & when I come back, I'm thinking it'll be past 30days for the 1st write up to fall off. I haven't spoken to HR yet as I used UPT to avoid having to be seen by the other AM who's supposedly tasked to deliver the write-up. Anyways, I'm devastated that I might be fired for the stupid harness after working so hard the past 2 yrs thinking I should resign now while I'm out anyway & will only have to wait a few days/weeks instead of waiting until I get back, only to end up resigning anyway & waiting longer to re-apply for any open spots. I was told by HR previously that anyone in good standing is eligible for rehireafter 72hrs once the resignation is cleared in the system. Hi, I'm a mom to an 8 year old girl who was born with bright pink skin and a body covered in "acne"-- and when I asked the doctor who delivered her what it was, he said "she's allergic to the world."
I have no allergies, and neither does my oldest daughter. My husband has an allergy to the sun (lol, I know) where when he goes out in the heat, he breaks out in little red pimples on his arms and hands and neck.
Recently, 8 year old's skin just keeps getting worse. It's patchy, and appears on her neck, in her inner arm (elbow) crevices, and on the backs of her thighs.
We were prescribed momerasome furoate (a corticosteroid) and that worked really well for the backs of her thighs, so we now use it sparingly and intermittently but haven't used it for a couple of weeks. I saw her itching just now and looked at her legs and there was a MASSIVE rash that looked terribly itchy and painful. I put the mometasone furoate on and just rubbed her back as she cried. That's what prompted me to post this.
I guess I just am so overwhelmed at this and would absolutely love to do as many natural remedies as possible so as to avoid slathering her in steroids.
I'm also looking for some guidance on good websites and/or particular ideas that you have found helped. I'm fine with Western medicine, including steroids, but if there's something else that you'd suggest as being helpful, I'd love to know. And yes, I'm aware reddit users are not doctors and I will do all my homework before trying new ideas.
I just joined this sub and apparently there are different types of excema and I just feel so sad knowing she'll live with this forever and I want so badly to help her but have no idea where to start.

Me (35F) and my husband (36M) have been married for one and a half years, together for 5, we actually met on Tinder which came to be a big shock to family and friends. I love him dearly, he has been my rock through everything: trouble at work, trouble with my family, trouble with friends etc., he's trully been my rock since day one. About a year ago I was invited to a co-workers wedding, which was odd since we weren't that close but she decides to invite the whole department so I didn't think much of it. The day of the wedding arrives and I see someone familiar serving drinks to the guests. It's my fucking ex, that I also happen to met on Tinder. "Um, what the fuck" I think to myself, "Maybe he's just a bartender or working a gig here, like my husband used to" I snort, unimpressed, until I hear him say "Yeah, my brothers the groom." You're brothers the what? I stood there, drink and cigarette in hand in shock, no way. About 7 months before I matched with my husband on Tinder, there was this guy, let's call him Harry (fake name). He was the dreamest man I ever laid my eyes on at the time, and he knew that 100%. Let's say, it ended with me regretting ever getting on the goddamn app at the time and swore off it for some time since I was completely mentally damaged from my interactions with Harry. Back to the story, I was PRAYING that he didn't recognize me, and all the way up until the picture taking, he approached me, "Do we know eachother?" He forgot my name but said he knew I was familiar to him in some way or another. The emotions rushed back, I felt as if I was dreaming, but snapped quickly out of it. Durring the whole night of dancing and drinking, Harry always found a way to be next to me, complimenting my dancing and how I moved. I could feel myself blush but would quickly look away. By around 2, I called my husband to pick me up (he insisted since he wanted me to have fun) and talked with Harry, how life treated us both. I told him I was married and he seemed surprised but congratulated me either way. I sighed and opened my arms, hugging him for good times sake, he still felt the same. When my husband came to pick me up he told me to shoot him a message so we can catch up. I nodded and the second I sat in the car I spilled all the tea with my husband, the whole ride home we made fun of how the universe decided to show me one final lesson I suppose! That's something I love about my husband, he never seemed to be jealous, but I also never harboured any jealousy to his exes so we're even like that. The next morning I decided to text him, to catch up I told myself, but really I was nosey as hell and so so SO lying through my teeth. He told me he's only back in the country for the celebration of his brother getting married, and later on he's flying back to Canada. I found out so many crazy details about this mans life, how he was engaged at one point but couldn't settle, it was JUICY. Then suddenly the topic came to me, and how "gorgeous I looked in that dress of mine", "I wanted to tear it off of you with my teeth right then and there, but I can't do your husband dirty like that." The shock on my face as I read that text was insane, this man hasn't changed at all after 5 years almost! But something in me compelled me to write back to that instead of just blocking him right then and there, and that's how it all started. Nothing physical happened, it was only lustful thinking and naughty pictures, which isn't an excuse for my behavior, I know that. It didn't last long, I got fucked over again and ended up blocking him and telling my husband to block him as well. When he asked why, I edited the messages to make it seem like he was acting weird towards me, and blocked him right then and there. He proceeded to hug me and telling me that I was trying to be the bigger person and let bygons be bygons, but Harry simply wasn't trying to just "catch up". I started tearing up, the guilt of everything came crashing down onto me, and yet my poor husband thought I was crying due to his amazing support. It's been a little less than a year since that incident, I think of myself as someone who got caught in the heat of the moment and the flames of passion yet again blinded me to the truth.  | Hi everyone, hoping I can get some assistance for my boyfriend (19M). submitted by sweetapple66 to DermatologyQuestions [link] [comments] For the past 4 nights, every night, at 9pm, a patchy, red, burning, rash with no itch, will appear within minutes and spread across my boyfriend’s body everywhere. The rash will swell near his eyes and on his face, everywhere, down to his toes, and he will get so hot he will have to remove clothing. Apart from the temperature, he experiences no physical discomfort. It only disappears in his sleep, and he will wake up in the morning with swollen hands and feet, and feel quite weak. The rest of the day he is fine and there is no rash until about 9pm every night. He suffers from hay fever but takes antihistamines every morning for it. His hay fever is quite mild, and he has never had a rash because of hay fever before, nor does he have a history with dermatitis. It looks like a heat rash, or a nettle sting, but it’s not itchy or dry. It is slightly bumpy like hives and covers his entire body in burning patches which are not under the skin or blister-like. His physical health apart from feeling weak in the morning is absolutely fine. He has been suffering from a tickle-like cough, which has just appeared today. We sought medical advice from the UK 111 helpline when the rash first appeared on the first night, where they suggested it was hay fever related, or an allergic reaction. However, as mentioned before, he has never suffered from a rash before from hay fever. It is not a heat rash, despite appearing as one. He has no allergies, it is not alcohol induced as he hasn’t been drinking. He has not consumed anything he hasn’t eaten or drank before and is not on any other medication. His washing powder and clothes have remained the same. He has always showed with the same soaps, used the same cologne and deodorant as normal etc. Please see the attached photos. We were advised by the helpline previously not to go to the emergency ward, but we have rang again tonight and are awaiting a call back as the rash gets worse every night. His parents seem to not be worried; my partner is currently attending university and could have caught anything from anyone. Thank you, please share your ideas/advice and if we should go to accident and emergency as we have been persuaded from family to leave it, but I am worried as this is the 4th night. |

Took a dry sauna for the first time in years a few days ago.
Next day I woke up with very sore abs. It’s been 3 days and they are still sore. I also developed a red rash around my abdomen that looks like heat rash or something.
Has anyone had this happen before? Not sure if it’s my body detoxing.

2024.06.08 18:50 amidnightpoodle Hair loss due to medications?
Hi everyone! It seems like there's a lot of variation on what people think related to hair loss as a side effect due to medication. I recently got blood work (June 2024) and everything has been within normal limits (thyroid, iron, and testosterone). In Jan 2023, I started bupropion (300mg), and in March 2023 I started a stimulant (d-amphetamine immediate release 5-7.5mg once a day for 6 months and then switched to d-amphetamine ER 15mg once a day). These were for new diagnoses of chronic fatigue/depression/adhd. I was doing really well, until I started noticing hair loss in March 2024. Then in May 2024, the fatigue has come back. For the stimulant in particular, once I started noticing hair loss, I tried to stop taking it for a while (~2 months), but I just was even more tired. I switched to Vyvanse (30mg) recently too because of concerns related to side effects. Idk. Given that I started the medications well before noticing the hair loss, could they still be related? Has anyone tried to stop these meds and seen better effects? It's a hard thing to balance, because right now on my current medicines (300 bupropion and 30 Vyvanse) I'm still tired and still having hair loss. I used to use more heat styling last year in 2023, but stopped at the end of the year around Nov and haven't straightened my hair since. Would love any and all advice!!!

 | I can’t go to a doctor for a while due to my living situation, but can hopefully see one in a week. I have had diagnosed fungal eczema as well as mild dermatitis on my hands for almost a year, but it’s never been on my face. Around 2 weeks ago I gave my self a beard line up (this is normal and usually causes no issues) but after that I ended up having a lot of dry skin on my cheeks where the beard shave had been. I will wait for the doctors opinion but in the mean time I don’t know if I should moisturize or if that will make it worse in the case that it’s eczema, or if I should just use my anti fungal cream on it instead (which would also make it worse if it’s just dry skin😹). My whole life I’ve always had clear skin, with breakouts of pimples or rashes maybe going away within a day or two; and I’ve never dealt with facial dryness like this before to my recollection. I have however started a medication called Vyvanse that can deHydrate you, so there is the possibility of dehydration too. |

I just finished up my first week as an inspector walking beside the asphalt paver. I was doing good the first few days, but last night I came home with a heat rash all over my shoulders, arms, and part of my upper torso. Thankfully my legs and other parts were safe lol. How can I try to prevent this from happening again? I’m fairly new to construction so anything will help. Thank you!

About a week ago I began getting a rash on my body which I assumed was hives but now a week later I don’t know and suspect it may be scabies. I went to a doctor and he said it is flea bites but I disagree, today when I woke up I had a new texture happening on my forearm, do you think this is scabies ? (Last pic is the newest marks / looks like a heat rash)

It's called Heat Based Contraception, but has also various names like Thermal Contraception, or Artificial Cryptorchidism.
The concept is to wear a silicon ring or a jockstrap that will raise my testicles into my inguinal canals (groin area). That way, they are closer to the body which is just enough to bring them to bodily temperature. In that state, spermiogenesis (creation of sperm cells) well decrease drastically, and might even go up to azoospermia (absence of sperm cells observed under microscope).

How that works is that you put the penis into the ring, then you put the scrotum (testicles'' skin) into the ring as well. The ring is large enough so that everything fits inside painlessly. So when I say "heat based" method, it means I'm using the heat of my body, no heating pads, hot baths or sauna. So you won't get a sensation of the pelvis actually heating up or anything.
In order for it to work you need to wear it 15/24h, everyday. It needs also 3 months to properly work, as spermiogenesis is completed in 74 days on average.
It's gaining increasing traction as thousands of people are using it right now, mostly in France, and with great success. Like every method, it can't please everyone, but a 2023 survey with 970 participants reported overwhelmingly good feedback, and a will to continue to wear said devices, even if a good minority of them experienced minor side effects, like rashes or very mild testicular shrinkage. No hormonal side effects though.
It is an experimental method, so caution is advised. A dozen little studies reported extremely high efficacy, but it's almost always with 5 to 30 participants, and it has only been tested for 4 years at best.
Lots of people doing this are being medically followed by physicians or urologists, and will follow the medical protocol implying the realisation of spermiograms, to actually measure fertility levels. The goal is to go under the 1 million sperm cells/ml threshold, as it as been defined by health authorities as the acceptable one to consider a male contraception very efficient. Between clinical studies and surveys, the pearl index is estimated to be between 0.5 and 0.1, so an efficacy very similar to already existing female hormonal birth control methods.
The method seems very much reversible as all data points towards this state of affairs, but again, since it's an experimental method I can't tell you it's 100% reversible and more studies need to be done to fully ensure it.

 | My 6 yr picked up molluscum (from wrestling) and was diagnosed by his pediatrician. They recommended letting it run its course. I am 6 months in and really trying to get it gone before the heat of the summer. I don’t want it to spread. So far it’s going ok. However…. He has a weird circular rash/lesion near it. I don’t think it is molluscum it doesn’t look like it. It is extremely tender and sensitive. I have no idea what it is. I have been putting aquaphor on it for a barrier and sometimes a bandaid to try to reduce friction with his clothes. I (F24) recently saw a new PCP because I’m having an increase of lightheadedness and have been having a lot of butterfly rashes.
I have had joint pain and sinus tachycardia since middle school. I have also had fairly frequent lightheadedness, but food always makes it better.
I began taking Zoloft in Jan 2019, Lamictal Jul 2019 (bipolar 2), and Vyvanse (ADHD) in 2021. After trial and error (mostly with adhd meds), I found this to be the best fit for me. I have been on this combination for 3 years without any issue.
I saw a new PCP to address these new symptoms. His only recommendation was to stop taking or lower the dose of vyvanse and lamictal since they can cause high heart rates. He said to go off of them for at least 2 months to see if my symptoms go away. If they don’t he will refer me to an ENT or neurologist.
I feel really uncomfortable doing this… especially with my bipolar medications. My sister was hospitalized both times she stopped taking hers. I also struggle a lot with my ADHD if I’m not medicated.
My question is, if these meds haven’t caused any issues for 3 years, would they suddenly cause new isssues?? (Lightheadedness that doesn’t go away with food, water, or laying down. Butterfly rash on face every few days. All over rash every few weeks. More frequent joint pain)
I asked about Lupus or other autoimmune disorders, but he brushed those off immediately. I ended up buying an ANA test on my own and am waiting for results. I will see my PNP next week and talk to her about my options. I’m just at a loss because it doesn’t make sense to me for my medications to be the cause of these sudden symptoms?? Is that normal or should I find a new doctor?
Sorry for the long post. I just want to make sure to include any relevant information. Thanks for reading and I appreciate any insight you have!
I should add - I am aware of the Stevens-Johnson rash. When I first had a rash show up I got bloodwork done, but everything came back normal. I also send photos to my PNP anytime a rash appears to see if I have reason to be concerned.

BACKGROUND INFO: I am diagnosed hEDS and have suspected MCAS and dysautonomia. I had a flare up of chronic hives in 2021 (possibly caused by a cold virus) and have taken Zyrtec daily since then and recently started taking Pepcid a daily as well. The hives were small and usually would flare up in response to heat/stress and didn’t respond to steroids. The hives cleared up after about 5 months and Ive had some minor skin reactions here and there since then.
Two days ago I noticed I was breaking out in a red rash on my outer thigh after spending some time laying on my patio swing. Not sure what caused it as there’s no obvious signs of a bug bite/sting. The rash/hives have gotten bigger and more red but are still only on my leg. Tried cortisone cream, Benadryl tablets and topical Benadryl but nothing helped. It gets worse in response to heat and after this mornings shower, I did have more hives on both legs that were much smaller and went away after about an hour. But the large rash hasn’t budged. The photos show the progression. First photo is immediately after I noticed the reaction, second is yesterday morning and the third is a few hours ago.
Went to urgent care yesterday and they told me to continue the daily antihistamines and Benadryl, and they also prescribed montelukast and a topical steroid. The inflammation has gone down and it’s much less itchy, but it looks like the rash is starting to bruise and I have a couple of new spots.
This is much different from my first flare up a few years ago and it’s driving me crazy! Anybody have any clue what this might be?
