My friend told me to come on Reddit and I'm extremely desperate for advice. I (17 M) and my ex (17 F) had to go on a break of our relationship of 5 months, 3 weeks ago. The same day she went on tinder and found a 26 year old man and told me how she slept with him. Of course it really hurt me because in a way I really really did care about her and love her, so for the next few weeks I had got worse and worse mentally. She described the sex with him with details and pictures. He is a literal neck beard with piss bottles on his floor and according to her he would frequently talk about other minors to her and how he was attracted to them. He would hit her and she kept telling me about everything even after I told her please stop. After a few weeks I caved in and talked to her again. I told her not to talk to him again and she agreed. Then I sent her money for Starbucks and she left for a long time and went to his house and had sex with him and proceeded to send me a video and gaslight me to believe I wanted it when I didn't. To make matters worse I had told her about feeling anorexic and depressed(I developed an eating disorder and I got scared but I trusted them to know about it). I was going to forgive her again but she called the cops to my house to get me "help" for the mental health issues I had mentioned earlier after we agreed to not call the police on each other (I was saying I would call them on the guy she saw). The cop thankfully was an amazing cop and told me to get rid of them so I blocked her on everything and I'm still extremely hurt because I guess I still love her. I don't know what to do and I really need advice on how to move on/forget/feel better please. I'm very desperate for any advice to help me.

My Q and I have been married for 8 months now, together for 7 years, and the experience has been hell for me. I have a laptop wich I have a warranty on. Before the insurance expired (I have it 3 years) my laptop suddenly refused to go on (after 2,5 years). I thought hmm. Could be the power. So I bought a new charging cable. Didn’t work.
I sent it to the store for repairs, they changed the motherboard and the next time I got it back, it worked. Paid by insurance. But I started having black screen/bsod issues. I sent it back to the store. I got it back. According to them, there was nothing wrong with the laptop. So I took it back and put my phone as a camera on it as soon as I put it on. I had a few black screens/bsod’s but I ignored them as everything was still updating/windows/driver. After that, after exactly 23 minutes, it kept either giving a black or blue screen everytime I started it up again. I had camera proof now.
So back to the store. 3rd time. The guy told me they had a policy they would refund the buy value if after 3 times it still didnt work, so I had to rest assured. I was not so sure about that. I know how company’s can be.
I got it back and they replaced the SSD. I tested it. I got 2 bsod’s and 1 black screen in one evening again.
So I went back to the store. The first thing the guy was looking for was when the insurance date was over, he told me I didn’t have it anymore(excuse me? I have the paperwork right here? And it’s in the pile of papers I got from when I sent it back and forth). Then he went like, oh well we can take it in, then they will destroy the laptop and you get the money it is worth at that time. He kept saying that its up to the warranty company to repair it. But the shop is making all of these claims at their website when you took a warranty with them. And I took my warranty with them, on their site. And now they try to distantiate themselves with their warranty company. Because they are not connected with them anymore since a year ago. But that should not be my problem.
I was not going to let them taxate my laptop. My insurance is still there. Its worth more than the 175 euros they will probably taxate it for as it has been repaired multiple times with high bills for the insurance. Because as soon as they have the laptop and taxate it themselves, you can’t prove anything. Because then they have the laptop. They even tried dodging paying the 2nd repair of the laptop.
Like why say things you can’t promise? It’s even on their site! I was patient. I waited 3 months total worth of repairs and I’m still in my warranty time. They are really mistreating me in my opinion. My patience is gone now. I will go to take a lawyer in hand because this is outrageous. And I’m angry as hell. I had a really hard time not hitting them in the face while they said that and I’m someone that never fights/gentle person as I don’t like violence. 3 months no laptop and still not repaired or a proper solution.
I have also seen many colleagues there. There was this girl and guy who were like the most genuine and sweetest people ever. The girl was polish and the guy was surinam I think.
The turkish person helping was not a kind person at all. Everytime I go there and one of those turkish people help me, they are really cold and distant, and act like they are better than you. Not racism, just general people knowledge. Probably because I’m gay. He was focused on not giving me a proper solution at all. It had to be in the interest of the shop in any way.
The first time I got my laptop back with damage on the sides (clearly someone dropped the laptop) and there were fat stains on my keys. I cleaned my laptop before giving it to them lol. And they clearly made sure in their policy that small damage during repairs is expected.
I guess this is more a vent than anything. But I’m so furiated. I want to be done with this for once. It almost makes me want to study ICT so I can repair my laptops myself from now on.

It's hard to believe so much time has passed. On one hand, it feels just like yesterday (or today) that I woke up and decided to look through her phone. On the other hand, I feel every bit of 3 years having had passed. The pain isn't as bad, but it's still there, just below the surface. Granted, some of that is because I know there's a 2nd dday and also because our wedding anniversary is a week from today. Which was something I asked her last night. "Why does this have to be so close to our anniversary?" I wasn't necessarily looking for an answer or an apology. She more or less asked how I was feeling so I told her. Which is what we agreed upon early on. Being fully known, which in turn, allows us to be fully loved. We did our love tank checks prior to me asking that question, with me revealing that I still get afraid of something coming between us again.
I had my final therapy (yaay?) appointment about a month ago, and one of the things I asked my therapist is "will this always be with me?" Her answer was "it's trauma and like any other trauma, it's always going to be there. It won't go away. You simply learn to live with it." Which is what we've done thus far. Speaking of therapy, not being in therapy anymore was kind of scary at first. Almost like another security blanket has been removed, leaving me exposed to another betrayal. But one thing my therapist said is "even if you need to come back, it's not a failure on your part. Just remind yourself of all the progress you've made." I often forget to remind myself of this: that I've been working through the most difficult time in my life and that I should commend myself more of the progress I've made.
One such example of showing myself progress firsthand was when a buddy of mine came over this past Saturday. We've been friends for years. He's married to my cousin, whom I consider my sister because we're very close. I also love him like a brother. Finances have become a major issue with them (as with SO many marriages, us included which was more so in our past). As we're talking, I'm also somewhat observing how the conversation is going. How different I'm thinking compared to years ago had this conversation happened back then. One thing he said that I agreed with is how much pressure we feel as husbands and fathers (especially us black men) to provide. It's so easy to get so caught up in trying to make ends meet and that pressure becomes exponentially harder when you don't make as much as you would like, or you feel stuck at a dead end job. Now, I honestly don't know whether or not they've dealt with infidelity, but having dealt with both infidelity and financial struggles, she and I communicate a lot better than before. Which is more or less what I observed with them. It's not about the money. It's about how we communicate our needs and doing what we can to meet them. Don't get me wrong. Money struggles is a top 5 issue that leads to divorce, but like any issues, if we find ways to better communicate, mole hills don't become mountains between us.
It was pretty obvious, looking back, that so much had gotten in between us. I used to think one of the bigger issues was the money, until I later found out it wasn't. We had lost our way long before that. So much so that it's still a bit of a fear in the back of my mind. Considering I haven't slept well all week, most likely due to the recurring anxiety induced by the PTSD and memories of this dday (good ol' body keeps the score), I look forward to the day when this no longer happens. We've already made plans for our anniversary next week, which will be another stay-cation. This will be a nice reset, especially as we get ready for the kids to be out of school and for another busy summer.
I'll probably never forget what happened on this day. But I also need to let this serve as a reminder of how far I've come and how grateful and pleased I am for our victory in progress. I'm going to keep sharing with her, which in turn, continues to give her the gift of knowing me.

This is a long read but well worth the time, in my opinion.
A comment was made on one of our posts about Shibarium and whether it would be run on Polygon in an effort to reduce fees. A fellow member pointed out that Shytoshi had once commented that it wouldn't be run on polygon but a polygon like network inferring that the devs were attempting to develop their own layer 2 (L2) protocol. I've had some theories for a while and this really got me thinking... how does a new L2 for in with ShibaSwap tokenomics... and here's my theory. Please forgive me if I ramble at all, it's 2:30am here and I've had 5 hours of sleep in 2 days. Comment below and let me know what y'all think... am I onto something here or am I way out in left field on this?
I remember reading that Shytoshi said Shibarium would be run on a polygon like protocol. I think it would be great if the devs in fact created their own L2 protocol, but my reservation is why recreate the wheel to get the same outcome? So that got me thinking what would I do if I was the devs to set ShibaSwap ahead of the competition. I dabble in programming just so I can try and understand some of this stuff, and I think I know the answer. If I'm way off please tell me, I'm not an expert by any means. Anyways, when we talk about defi protocols, the two that really compete are uniswap V3 and Sushiswap using polygon. Both swaps are great in their own right but both have fundamental issues. V3 revolutionized the way liquidity pools operated. Traditional pools spread out your liquidity pairs from 0 to infinity, even though a significant portion of that range will never be used. V3 allowed for concentrated efficiency where a liquidity provider could concentrate their capital into specific price points reducing investor exposure to impermanent loss and increasing fees earned by over 500% in some pools (aka an investor could earn 5x the fees than a traditional liquidity pool). The downside was that gas fees are still ridiculously high on V3 because it's still using the Ethereum network. Then you have Sushiswap who built out a L2 through polygon reducing fees and increasing speed of transactions. It also allowed users to use the "matic bridge" to swap tokens between ERC20 and other networks, by a process of minting and burning tokens going back and forth. The beauty is it allowed users to access other cross chain tokens through a single interface, and best of all users paid for gas fees in their native Matic coin instead of Eth. Sushiswap also allowed users to access Kashi Lending whereby users could trade on leverage or margin, for those investors who wanted to take big swings in crypto. This also had the benefit of allowing liquidity providers to put up their tokens for margin trading, earning good returns and no exposure to impermanent loss since it was only 1 token investments. Sushiswap also developed a token vault known as BentoBox that allowed for margin trading in 1 transaction hash versus other margin trading platforms that required 3 transaction hashes, saving huge amounts on gas fees and increasing transaction speeds.
I guess what I'm getting at is Shibarium needs to be if V3 Uniswap and Sushiswap protocols had a baby. Shibarium would allow for concentrated capital liquidity pools, the ability to switch tokens across different blockchains using SHIB as gas (only utility I can see for it... change my mind), and allow users access to margin and leveraged trading, while simultaneously allowing additional revenue streams for liquidity providers and creating token vaults. If Shibarium managed to incorporate the best of both swaps, it could begin to compete for heavy volume which would bring back the billion dollar TVL numbers. But if that weren't enough, if the devs could incorporate their own algorithmic stable coin Shi into the mix as a daily transactional token, whereby users could buy and sell with it, with minimal fees, and giving sellers the security of a stable coin, and the speed of visa, it would truly begin to revolutionize crypto.
IF the devs can pull this off it would be a game changer in crypto defi platforms. SHIB would finally have a purpose, Shi would become a global currency, BONE would be highly coveted by whales who wanted governance over the future decisions of the swap, and LEASH would be the value store to bring in institutional investors, similar to what Bitcoin is. Uniswap earns $2-3M in fees per day, and Sushiswap earns $1.2M in fees per day (as of January), there's no reason ShibaSwap wouldn't be able to easily pull in $3-5M in fees through its platform if it was able to implement this plan. It's an ambitious goal but one that I think makes the most amount of sense and maybe why the devs are playing things pretty close to the vest as the saying goes because they don't want the other swaps to pivot before they release Shibarium.

We have been together for almost 6 years and have lived together for 3. Since we met at 17 I have been focused on succeeding in a very ambitious job which involves years of training but should end in a well-paid stable job that could take me all over the world. My partner is the artistic type, and sees his career as a way to earn just enough to support his art and spend time with family and friends, which I’m fine with as I know not everyone is like me and it’s nice to have someone who helps you slow down and smell the roses sometimes. I feel I have two options in life

1. Become rich in money (find a way to own or start a business that profits me $10k+/month) so I can buy anything I’d like and Take care of those I love, travel the world, build cars and (as much as I hate to admit this) live up to the expectations I feel some people I care about have for me. I for some reason worry about them looking down on me (it’s strange I have always never cared about what others thought till the last couple years it’s gotten pretty bad)

Now this life would consist of a lot of materialistic wealth and happiness thanks to everything I could buy with money but due to all the time I’d be putting into a business that hits $10k a month I’d lose a lot of my day to day life resulting with me losing priceless time with people I care for and even doing things I want to do… what good is it to have all the materialistic stuff if you can’t even have time off to enjoy it yourself or with the ones you love?

Live a minimalist life (studio apartment or van life) now this life would be a simplistic life I’d have plenty of time off in my day to day life because I’d either be living off disability due to heart issues (I’ve had 2 recorded heart attacks) and if I can’t get disability then I’d just work 3 days out of the week which would give me 4 days off to do whatever I please now if I can get disability then obviously I’d have everyday off doing whatever I please whenever I want as long as it costs no money or very little amount. which leads me to my next point which is I’d have very little money to do much but I’d have plenty of time to be with family and friends… the other issue is I’ve always wanted to travel the world but with option 2 I wouldn’t be able to travel to other countries as often as I’d like but idk maybe I could maybe I’m over estimating how expensive traveling out of country is (I’ve never traveled in my life other then by car to other states as a kid. This is why I mentioned van life is because the cheap life style would also allow me to travel all over the US freely as well.

I worry about this life style because I don’t want to be looked at as a failure or regret my decision down the road. Or be a bad example for my kid or have my kid look at me as a failure. Here is my experience. They once sent me an email for a walk in interview as a business associate in coimbatore.
When i arrived, it was a run down building and on the third floor there was a small room and a dirty, office chair where I saw many of the people working there was taking photos wearing a suit that was passed around.
After the interview they were boasting that they were working with American express, Mercedes etc and you can choose whatever they want.
Then they made us learn a script in Tamil by heart and practice it. Before that they played loud music and made people dance to bring them to ease.
After the script you have to repeat it back to the leaders and they correct you in how to adjust the tone to manipulate and get the sympathy of the people.
Then they make these new hires go with one of their guys into the streets and then started going into shops malls, even colleges and reiterate the script.
Most funny thing was that they were showing a list of names with performers and there was a guy with the last name Bajaj. The owner of this place Dandu Dinesh said that this guy is from the Bajaj family and has a ton of money, but wanted to do his own business so he came to work with their begging scam.
They still lie and hire people with fancy names like business associate and that after 2 years they'll help you start your own business and all.
At the time they were collecting money for SOS organization. But I'm sure a large chunks of the money collected is going into their own pockets as I contacted SOS directly and they confirmed that these guys are taking out huge commissions.

They are scammers. They make money in the name of charity. Nothing less that frauds.
Oh and one more thing. Majority of the staff I saw there were females. I think they're using females to manipulate guys into paying as I myself signed up for this subscription an year later in kerala without knowing it was them. A girl called me and sounded genuine. Said that she was working and is volunteering for the NGO.
I heard that they were looking to expand this thing to every city and later heard that they moved to kerala as well.

If you see more two or more approaching you as a group, it means there is a leader in that pack who's training the noobs with him. That's how it goes. They sent out these people under the supervision of an experienced person to make sure that they don't message up their script.
SO BEWARE. AVOID THESE SCAMSTERS. DONATE TO A CHARITY YOU KNOW VERY WELL AND NOT VIA THESE AGENTS.

This is the company actually sending these people out to collect the money.
But all of them are instructed to not show the I'd card from their organization They'll claim they workdirecy with UNICEF OR UNESCO, but they're working with these agency leeches.
Next time you can ask them who they ACTUALLY work for.

They in kochi, conduct interviews weekly and are hiring more people. Thanks u/slattmallu for sharing the insights. They're also planning to expand to kannur. So if anybody can share this to your friends, we can stop these SCAMSTERS.

I don't even think this qualifies as depression, I'm like 80% sure I've had depression at some point in my life, acknowledged it, and eventually studied mental and spiritual stuff until I healed. I mean, I've definitely felt a strong difference, but not so quite? Let me explain:
Ever since I got into 10th grade, my school pressure rose to 1000%, I started pursuing science thinking it was what I liked, and got on my head that I wanted to be an engineer. That was 2 years ago, recently, I figured I never had a reason to be an engineer, excluding the typical "I want to have money" mentality (which doesn't make any sense because if I only pursuit money this is kinda random? But I guess I also wanted the engineer clout. Anyways, as my school routine got lighter, I am now 18 years old and a legal adult and I have NO DREAMS. I'm not even sad, but like, I think I should be? But the pressure is definitely here, because like, am I gonna end up homeless? I DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING HELP.
So I have this theory, I think that all my life I chased things out of pure... pain? I can't even tell. I know I want to learn how to fight, probably going to start taking Muay Thai classes. Just because it's cool and I honestly don't mind pain.
I don't think it is masochism, it is just that I NEED something to happen in my life, if pain is a necessary step, then it is all fine.
I just like pain because it is definitely REAL, my only fear is just a mundane daily life. I just want something CRAZY to happen.
But I guess I still want money, it is just that money was my top priority when I was a big gigantic videogame nerdy geek. But as I said, I have silenced my wants and needs for so long I CAN'T STAND WHAT I USED TO LIKE ANYMORE.
I don't even think this is the correct subreddit to post, I like crying because it definitely helps relieving the pain and I have no shame of it, I see it as useful and helpful!
Should I just keep sacrificing myself mentally and physically everyday until the end of time just so I can feel something?
I mean one thing is for sure, I make sure to count my blessings just so I don't get clinically insane. I have: A healthy body. I like my physical appearance. I think I'm intelligent and everyone around me tells me that. I'm funny and people love being around me. I love being around people. I think I am a very good listener and people usually talk to me when they need help. I'm strong!! >:) I'm fast!!!! >>>:))) I know how to speak English and Portuguese (my mother language) and I am currently learning Japanese just for funsies since 2022. I have a loving family I have many friends
BUT Why do I have no dreams at all? Why can't I see myself in 20 years? Hell, I can't even imagine myself in 5 years. Please help me.
