"The Sewed King is the name given to an hypothetical entity that originated from a corrupted fable weaved by editors, it all started with a world being written by one of those meta entities mentioned in Tales We Weave. Originally the story was supposed to be cheerful and happy, with not many details but being a narrative that could embody joy and happiness. It started with a brave and happy king living in a kingdom located near a beach, the king didn't had a queen or even kids but he was still happy as well his kingdom who was considered the strongest and happiest kingdom among all, no monarch could even understand the secret the king had to have such a perfect happy place. Eventually the king met a beautiful woman in which he fell in love and decided to marry her, and so the already happy kingdom won a new queen to rule over them"
"Though the narrative seemed short, simple, and cheerful something went severely wrong when it suddenly started self writing bad plots and replacing happy parts with horrific sentences, some sentences being extremely disgusting and horrible even for editors to read. Attempts to edit the narrative and rewrite it back as it used to be didn't seemed to work, and the narrative somewhat always returned to self write bad things. Seeing that nothing seemed to be working, the editors decided to rip and terminate the narrative of the happy king, deleting the story and ceasing it's existence. However this would only prove to be ineffective when several stories from the Collective Webs started behaving and presenting bad plots everywhere, with tragic and horrific scenes happening consecutively. Most of the times the story ended with the protagonist or either the people losing their limbs and members, and so the once simple narrative became a nightmare for editors to remove and purge since the influence of the Sewed King was spreading exponentially like a virus through the endlessly stories of the Collective Webs, attempting to rewrite all stories to become horror narratives instead. Aiming to stop the problem for once and for all, many editors gathered together in a final attempt to counter attack the horrific influence of the Sewed King before it could spread to the Primary Webs. It demanded more than eight thousand editors to purge the bad influence that was harming the Collective Webs and so the problem seemed to be once again terminated and closed (or at least is what they believed)"
"Due to the lack of informations it is almost impossible to describe when exactly the events of the Sewed King happened but it is assumed shortly after the narrative of the happy king was terminated. The Sewed King Is apparently only believed to be a event that corrupts narratives and creates horror stories wherever it's infection has spread further beyond the multiverse. While only believed to be something and not someone, the idea of the Sewed King being a entity wasn't discarded by editors due to patterns being observed in different stories, with them always ending with the characters being torn apart and a mysterious figure watching in the background. However nothing was confirmed and the idea of them being a actual entity remained hypothetical. When manifested in the story, The Sewed King will change the plot of the story and turn it into a horror story instead, making it end tragically for the protagonists most of the times"

Once upon a time, there existed an kingdom located near an beach where it was ruled by its brave and happy monarch, the king didn't had offsprings and neither a queen but he was still happy and confident in eventually finding a woman to give continuation to his bloodline. Everything in the kingdom was always cheerful and happy, the residents were satisfied with their monarch and so peace ruled over the kingdom for decades till the most happiest day when the king found the perfect woman to be his queen, and so the marriage happened with the entire kingdom being invited for the ceremony and crowning of the queen. After the crowning of the queen and days celebrating the new queen the kingdom thrived and grew in prosperity and power becoming even happier than it was. And so The King and the Queen lived happily together and forever.

For context, I was at a small special education school at the time. In 2020, I (20M at the time) had a crush on this woman (20F at the time) who I'll be calling E. In December, we finally admitted we liked each other and decided we decided to make it "official." As someone who had never had a gf at the time, this seemed normal. I didn't know how dating worked and my diagnosed social anxiety makes it especially difficult. I was so happy to have someone who liked me. It turned out that she was a manipulative pos.
After around two weeks, I texted "hey babe." A few messages later, what stated as an innocent "hi" resulted in "I can't do this anymore" and that she was only with me to make up for her lack of self-love and so on. After I asked if she was breaking up and she said "I'm sorry." Then she blocked me.
A month later, she apologized and tried to be my friend again. Unlike previously, decided to take time to think instead of jumping crawling back to her. A week later, she starts to show her true colors. She gets another bf that she never shut up about for MONTHS, and was clearly trying to get to me.
For additional context, I've also been writing poems since late 2020. Mostly as a coping mechanism, but I wrote a total of 102 by the end of 2021. The second was about her and trying to empathize. Starting during early 2021, the school let me show one of my poems.
Flash forward to December, one year after the relationship started. I was showing my poems on Fridays and the first Friday so happened to be exactly one year after our "relationship" started. She bursts into homeroom announcing that she just broke up with her bf.
Enter revenge. On that day, 13 E poems later, I showed a poem about her to EVERYONE. The title was her name, but I changed it to "Daisy" and changed every place her name was in it. It was one of the few poem of her that showed any level of empathy. My friend read it out. Before he did, he asked me if I was sure I wanted to go through with it. I said yes, despite the fact that I was extremely anxious which was causing my hands to shake so badly that couldn't type.I tried to stall for a moment because E was getting her meds.
Eventually, I couldn't stall anymore and my friend read it. E came into the room when my friend was partway through. She sat down and immediately glanced at me. I was planning to wink when she inevitably looked at me by my social anxiety stopped me. After she looked away, her hand shot up. After my friend finished reading, E asked "who's Daisy?" My eyes were locked on the table in front of me as I simply replied "classified."
A couple weeks later, I show the poem that I wrote to empathize with her. This resulted in her throwing a temper tantrum, a common occurrence. She didn't directly say that the poem upset her, but it was pretty obvious.
I had planned to show a month later that was more harsh. It was a duet called "I'm Sorry" where I paraphrased things she said to me for the first hal and had an aggressive rebuttal from. It was still read, but unfortunately classes changed that week and so she never saw that one. I wish she was the had because her reaction would've been priceless.
Since I failed to place the final nail in the coffin, this wasn't the most pro revenge, but it was so close so I thought I'd share.

I guess this could also be delayed grief. I have no idea what I’m even trying to say in this, I just can’t imagine speaking these thoughts to anyone in my life right now because I just can’t stand the way people look at me or speak to me or go quiet when I talk about him. Today just sucks.
I thought it would be last year that would suck, being ten years without him. And it did, but it sucks as much as it always does. Right now feels particularly hard.
I’m just thinking about how unfair it all is. I was 10 when I lost him, and I’m just thinking about how much I’ve missed out on with him. How much he has missed out on in his kids lives. Which doesn’t feel fair, because he had some shitty fucking things go on for him throughout his life and I think he at least deserved to watch his kids grow up. And it’s not fucking fair for me either. I looked up his obituary impulsively at work, and someone had left a story there about him that I’d never seen or heard. And I can’t imagine how many stories I’m missing out on, or how many things he could’ve guided me through. And I just feel so angry and tired about it all.
I just got my first apartment last year, and my moms boyfriend helped me build the bed and get it up all the stairs. He’s a sweet guy, we aren’t close, and it’s not his fault, but that should’ve been my dad. I don’t want men to do anything for me because it just fucking sucks because that should be my dad helping me, it shouldn’t be some fucking guy it should be him. I should be able to introduce him to all my partners, I want him to walk me down the aisle, I want to hear all his crazy stories, I want to show him stupid Tik toks and let him meet my cat. I wish that he had been there when I dropped out of school, when I went to detox, when I was couch surfing and trying to stay sober. I wish I could’ve gone to him. I wish he could’ve been there when I finally graduated, and when I got my dream job.
I want him to embarrass me in front of my friends, I want to make fun of him for being old, I want to listen to his ridiculously mish mash mixtape that was way too long, I want to show him what music I like. I want to show him all my tattoos, I want him to be disappointed in my new stupid tattoo ideas. I wanted him to be there when I was being a stupid teenager and tell me to stop being an idiot.
I want to scream at every man who tried to father me for daring to try and take his spot when that was his job and that was for him nobody else deserves to take that role from him just because he isn’t here.
I want to go back to when I was little, and we were sitting in his car just us and playing around with the new speech to text and he was reciting the jabberwocky poem, and we couldn’t stop laughing at the nonsense it typed out, and I want to stay in that car forever.
Today sucks. And FUCK cancer.

History of Maithili Literature - Resources

Having previously shared resources on the history of Maithili literature (here), I am now going to compile a list of actual Maithili literary classics, both classical and modern. If you have any recommendations, please suggest them. ​

📌 Early Maithili Literature (circa 700–1350 AD):
This era witnessed the emergence of ballads, songs, and dohas. Among the earliest authors was Jyotirishwar Thakur. His notable contribution to Maithili literature is the Varṇa Ratnākara (1324), an encyclopedic work presented in prose.

George Abraham Grierson, an Irish linguist, and civil servant made a huge impact on the growth of Modern Maithili. His detailed research on Maithili folklore and grammar set the stage for its development today. Magazines and journals also played a big role in shaping Maithili during this time. Baldev Mishra, Surendra Jha 'Suman,' Radha Krishna Choudhary, Jaykant Mishra, Binod Bihari Verma, Dr. Dhirendra, Parichay Das, and Gajendra Thakur were key players in this linguistic journey.

I'm tired of my inability to write good poetry.
The way it usually goes is like this:
I see something that stirs some emotion. Like maybe on my walk I see a rose bush. Then a line comes to my mind describing the scene. I become obsessed with getting that line right and the feelings in my heart are so intense but when they come out on the page they sound so boring and cliche, like "The rose emits its heavenly scent / as I touch its delicate sun-soaked petals."
I feel mad at myself for using these boring adjectives. Show, show, show, don't tell! Yet how to show what the scent is like? Or the feeling of touching a petal? And who cares? Like why would anybody care how I feel about some flower on a particular day?
If I'm able to change the line to my satisfaction, then there is a different issue, which is where am I going with this? Often my poems turn into something sentimental or me trying to teach people some lesson, like life is fleeting, beauty is subjective, blah blah.
I look at famous contemporary poetry but that's no help either because I don't understand most of them. And the ones I do understand, I cannot see what makes them stand out from thousands of poems published online by people whose poems never get published in these journals.
So I want to hear how you approach this, in particular those of you who write poetry and are satisfied with your poems and maybe have even gotten one published in some prestigious publication.

Missing text messages on phone after showed Therapist a text I had received from a friend. Therapist handed phone back then asked for again. I thought nothing of it at the time as I did not know. I looked for a poem 2 days afterward, all the texts Therapist sent were gone. I know I did not do this. I sent an email stating as much and I asked why? It feels as if I am viewed as a threat and would try and hurt her. I understand I handed phone over, however they no longer belonged to her. Therapist denied this and we have not discussed in session. It is right there for me. I thought of going to IT place to have them retrieved and time stamp on removal. While therapist has advocated for me and I am currently on a better path I am hurt. I also feel as if lied to. I have no idea where to go, I know I want to run. Any ideas would be helpful.

I’m looking for a children’s book I had in the 90’s in Australia during my childhood. Each page was fully coloured and well illustrated.
The closest I can find online is a book called “The Book Of Witches” by Ruth Manning Sanders, and I think I remember my book having a similar title to this.
However, from what I can see online, this doesn’t seem to be the same book. The illustrations are different and so is the collection of stories inside..
A few stories I remember that were in there were: The Old Witch, & The Six Swans.. and there was a rhyme or a song near the front of the book about Witches celebrating Halloween, and dancing around a pumpkin patch under a full moon.
The cover was illustrated in dark, bold colours (purple and black from memory) and I’m pretty sure it had Witches, a Cauldron and trees on the front.
It was a very well illustrated book with a collection of classic fairy tales. Brothers Grimm etc. And from memory each one featured a witch.
The book also contained a few pages of rhymes / poems etc about witches that were not connected to a fairy tale but just featured as pages in the book.

I know, I know we promised The Stink and Le Paws that we were going to do Cats in honor of their recent nuptials but we couldn’t get the rights. But we managed to get the rights to this brand new show!!!
Local screen writer Miss Lenore Winters has promised me that it will be a big hit. It features songs like: “Lay me down in the garden John” and “I forgot to bring in the laundry”. It is a musical so everyone make sure you come to auditions warmed up and ready to sing your hearts out!
We will be holding them at Saint Paula’s scared heart wedding chapel on the 7th of June. There will be light refreshments. Please have a poem, and song memorized, and music for the organist to accompany you with.

I’ve been NC for almost 7 years now. Going into this past winter, I submitted some poems that I wrote to an anthology… they wound up getting accepted and this past month the anthology was published! Mostly available for sale online but also for sale in some indie book stores.
This is my first time ever getting poetry published in a real book. I was really scared to share my poetry—I was always “too much” for my family whenever I tried to share things that I actually care about. Being “too much” is something that I often feel really insecure about. But I also felt really proud and excited about the publication.
I wound up telling a lot of friends about this poetry publication news. I wrote an email sharing a link to the publication and how much it meant to me to be published like this. Then I sent the email to some friends BCCed.
Maybe it’s just the sort of email most people don’t think they need to respond to? Very few friends emailed me back or talked to me about it. It’s been several weeks now so I’ve just accepted that most friends aren’t going to bring it up.
The poetry anthology is centered around surviving violence, so maybe that is another layer that makes friends feel awkward about it.
Whatever is going on, I’m sharing this here because it’s really triggered my old insecurities of being “too much” or “too annoying” for people... and a moment that I was really proud of has now become further evidence that I shouldn’t try to publish my poetry.

you connected me to my highest purpose made me realize that all of the things i want, i deserve it, you never made me feel like an option, although you proceeded me with caution. you gave me my gift just to take away the giver it hurts to know i can’t be a receiver to your love, your one and only pleaser. i feel you in a cosmic way, a way i’ve never felt before the first man i’ve ever met to not willingly walk out of the door. a love so divine, a love so pure and true, i feel you inside of me, a part of me is you. i know when your angry i know when you miss me. although the distance i can feel whenever our spirits are kissing, reminiscing, about the days we sat on the phone, for hours not expecting our love to come afloat, thinking about seeing each other, crossing all of those roads, paying all of the tolls so that me and you could really know, to see the sparks in the air, to feel the energy that we share the going back in forth but really wishing that we were there union hasn’t felt any closer, and healing hasn’t gotten better, trying to forget about you has been the hardest task ever, and forever we will last so while the time goes past, the confirmation through separation is really taking a toll on me, i got real tired of you withdrawing yourself from me , i am not a energy bank that you can take from when you feel like times get hard and i know you’ve been hurt before but we obtain the same scars emotionally mentally and somehow even physically and this truth i speak comes from every time that you ever felt the need to lie to me, because i see right through your petty lies, i’ve lost the ability to empathize bc i feel your pain on a different level, release the same tears every time you shed them represent the same fears every time we speak i’ve cried every time i knew that you were weeping, i’m tired of being deceived, i’m just look for peace, within and not outwards, so right now i am grieving you while you are gone because it feels like i’ve lost you i understand there’s a price to pay for everything, but i never costed you i didn’t want to waste your time i just wanted your presence i remembered now i see i came to bring you back to heaven, so i’ll heal for our connection but really for my connection, to you and all things that trap you underneath the pain that i can hear every time that you speak. i love you like your my husband, even though i cannot see you i feel your embrace even when i can not reach you, your a phone call away but i will not pick up the phone i will stay away until we can build a happy home. so now while i heal i want you to feel the movement pushing you towards me as i walk away, i’ll fix all my issues and won’t compromise myself to break, under the lies of petty men, and their lies and their own traumas, i don’t see union coming so i’ll leave up to beyond us, to the one and only goddess and to the loving and caring father in his name i will throw my hands up in the air, and repent for all my sins and after that i’ll leave this where it is, god gave us both a gift and through each other we unlocked it, i pray and wish you the best until further notice, until we meet again , twin.

I asked T to read a text I had received from a friend. T gave phone back, asked to see it again. I handed it back. Later when I looked for a poem I had wrote all her text to me were gone. I did not do this. I sent an email and stated such and was T afraid I would do something with them? I met again and I could not stop thinking about. I know I did not delete and unsure what to do.

Persuasive peom about anything

A painted smile, a practiced wave, A mask she wears, a life she craves. The world sees sunshine, bright and bold, But all they miss, the truth untold.
Behind the scenes, a weary soul, Aching depths where shadows stroll. Depression's grip, a chilling hold, Whispers of fear, a story cold.
She longs to tear this mask away, To let the world see the disarray, Or maybe fragments, storm-tossed at sea, The shattered pieces of what used to be.
But fear it lingers, sharp and keen, Will they recoil from what's unseen? Judgment's gaze, a piercing light, Leaving her exposed, alone in night.
