hi everyone i am tkaing the ap french exam rn i shoved my phone up my ass and then asked to go to the bahtroom so I could search some ansers up. is anybody else taking the exam online rn??? help would be appreciated ive been using google translate since middle school and dont know a word of french except baguete, my form letter is P and my form code is PP69 my AP ID is 520DS313 the cultural comparison is abt the role of art in "une communauté francophone" (idk what this means) and comparisng communities. hopefully someone sees this bc I think ill hvae two minutes after i post this to draft a response and the n Ihave to record

Will those who wish, please join me in the Serenity Prayer: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating. We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively. There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues. Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.

The Twelve Traditions of Overeaters Anonymous
Abstinence in Overeaters Anonymous is the action of refraining from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors while working towards or maintaining a healthy body weight. Spiritual, emotional, and physical recovery is the result of living the Overeaters Anonymous Twelve Step program.
The OA tools of recovery help us work the Steps and refrain from compulsive overeating. The nine tools are: a plan of eating, sponsorship, meetings, telephone, writing, literature, an action plan, anonymity, and service. For more information, read The Tools of Recovery OA page.
Sponsorship is one of our keys to success. Sponsors are OA members committed to abstinence and to living the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions to the best of their ability. Sponsors share their program up to the level of their experience and strengthen their recovery through this service to others. To find a sponsor, look for someone who has what you want and ask how he or she is achieving it. Will all abstinent sponsors please identify themselves in their post?
According to our Seventh Tradition, we are self-supporting through our own contributions. Our group number is 99038. Please use the group number when making your contribution. As our virtual group currently has no expenses please consider donating directly through this link to the OA World Service Office, who provides resources for OA groups all around the world to carry the message to other compulsive overeaters.
Suggested guidelines for sharing: As you share your experience and strength in OA, please also share your hope. Please confine your sharing to your experience with the disease of compulsive eating, the solution offered by OA, and your own recovery from the disease, rather than just the events of the day or week. When responding to other member’s posts, please focus on your personal experience rather than advice giving. If you are having difficulties, share how you use the program to deal with them. “We commenced to make many fast friends and a fellowship has grown up among us of which it is a wonderful thing to feel a part. The joy of living we really have, even under pressure and difficulty. I have seen hundreds of families set their feet in the path that really goes somewhere; have seen the most impossible domestic situations righted; feuds and bitterness of all sorts wiped out. I have seen men come out of asylums and resume a vital place in the lives of their families and communities. Business and professional men have regained their standing. There is scarcely any form of trouble and misery which has not been overcome among us. In one western city and its environs there are one thousand of us and our families. We meet frequently so that newcomers may find the fellowship they seek. At these informal gatherings one may often see from 50 to 200 persons. We are growing in numbers and power.”
Closing By following the Twelve Steps, attending meetings regularly, and using the OA Tools, we are changing our lives. You will find hope and encouragement in Overeaters Anonymous. To the newcomer, we suggest attending at least six different meetings to learn the many ways OA can help you.  | I recently applied to a job at my old university, but unfortunately wasn't invited to an interview. I'm pretty disappointed because I spent many days on the application/trying to make it as good as possible. I also thought that I had met pretty much all the minimum criteria, but maybe I didn't. I'm also autistic, so it can be harder for me to work these things out sometimes unless I'm explicitly told. In relation to my autism, I feel I should also mention that on the application form when it asked if I required any reasonable adjustments to the recruitment process, I said that if possible, receiving a copy of the interview questions in advance would be helpful to me. This was a suggestion I'd seen on a website with info about asking for adjustments. I was a little worried about asking for it in case it made me seem like I couldn't handle stressful situations (when really, I would've still been fine doing the interview without having the questions in advance, it just would've been easier with them). But the site said that if you were worried about them being concerned about you having an unfair advantage, you could suggest that the interview questions be given to other candidates in advance too. So I did that. I'm not sure whether me asking for that adjustment could have influenced their decision, although they did say they were Disability Confident... 2024.05.15 16:00 Prestigious_Box8936 I think someone is trying to scam me?
So I reserved a car last week, but decided to go with a different one from the same lot. I had to wait a week to get insurance for it so I could drive off the lot, so I reserved the other car. The thing is I had to use a different account because I lost access to my original one. Now this morning at 8am (before their service or sales dept are even open) someone reached out to me saying they were part of the carmax team and asked about the original car. I informed them I had picked out and reserved a different car and they looked it up and told me that it was being sold to someone else. I told them that I had a different account and that it was me. Even after I gave them the information they insisted that it was under a different name. I know this isn't true because I still have the appointment booked for this afternoon. Unless that person was lying to me or their system is glitching I am unsure what it happening. Their sales department doesn't open for another hour so I can't call them yet. What should I do? Is this a scam attempt? Should I tell the people at my local carmax?

I was shocked that out of over 160 comments there was only a small handful of people (myself included) that urged the OP to get APS involved.
Y'all. APS is literally designed to help the elderly with mental health and cognitive struggles as well as with helping provide healthcare to elderly people that need it, but might not be aware of how serious their condition is.
If your Q is over the age of 63 in the United States and is exhibiting behavior that makes you concerned for their well-being or signs of violence. Call APS. You do not need to be involved any further than that phone call.
Yes, most of our Q's are primarily brainwashed by media. But there are so many underlying health conditions, especially among the elderly, that can cause erratic and irrational behavior and thoughts. That range goes from poor nutrition all the way up to brain tumor with dozens more potential causes in between.
I get that this is exhausting and the thought of involving authorities can be anxiety inducing for some. But they're really only there to try to help for these exact situations where a family members behavior has become too much for the rest of their family to handle without professional intervention.
This is primarily a support group. We've gotta support each other with our knowledge of resources just as much as providing comforting words of relatable platitudes. I hope this helps somebody out there.

This is already one of my top games of the year; the items are clever, and the puzzles do a good job of highlighting both their straightforward and more unique uses. The aesthetics both musically and visually are top notch.
I've collected every egg, seen the second ending, and have 11 secret rabbits.
But I won't be finishing any more than this, because Animal Well has gone all-in on what I think is the worst offense in the industry: the game can't be fully completed without using external content.
If I'm buying a video game, unless the game says otherwise up front in its store page description, I expect that the content is self-contained and can be completed by one person without needing to, for example, download a barcode scanner app to my phone, manipulate images from screenshots on a computer, be a member of the developer's discord community to receive secret codes, or anything else that locks game content behind access to real-world information or ARG communities.
There's nothing more frustrating than spending 3 hours solving a difficult environmental puzzle that requires drawing on the map to reveal the answer only to find out that those efforts were wasted because the other pieces of the treasure hunt take place outside of the game itself. If all of the end-game puzzles were of that caliber where they were difficult but could be completed in-game, this would probably be in my top 10-20 games list.
I get that some people are into that kind of stuff, but it really should be made clear on the store page before buying it.

My fiancé and I recently got invited to a friend’s wedding. On the invitation, it had the ceremony and reception 4 hours apart. I thought this was a little strange at first, but then I remembered that this couple is religious and will not be doing a first look, so I figured they were going to spend that time taking pictures together as well as well this big families. 4 hours seemed excessive but I had no idea what else they could be doing. We were talking about this to another one of our friends who also got invited to the wedding, and turns out the 4 hour gap isn’t for pictures, it’s for the couple and the wedding party to go bar hopping and drink before the reception, and only the wedding party is invited.
We are out of town guests and don’t know anybody else in the area. The drive is about 3.5 hours and we have no place to stay so we were planning on doing the drive all in one day. The wedding is in a small town in the middle of no where with no cell reception and nothing to do. We have been to this town before to visit the couple and when I say no service, there is absolutely no service. The couple is also not opening the reception venue until an hour before the reception is going to start, so there would be literally nothing for us to do for that 3 hour window. Is bar hoping after the ceremony a common thing for the wedding party ?? The 4 hour gap of nothing to do already makes us not want to go, but they are our friends, but the fact that is how they are spending the 4 hours and not providing any accommodations to their out of town guests really irks me..

While refreshing a tab i opened a couple of days ago but hadn't finished reading, i found out the OP had deleted the content of that post and all of their comments (maybe edited out would be the right term here).
Every comment from OP in their thread is now a line of 10 random english words, followed by "This post was mass deleted and anonymized with (link to the app used)". Some quick research shows OP used the free version of that app, which only allows for mass deletion. As a result, every comment on their user profile is the same spammy gibberish.
In a way, reddit discussions are ephemeral in nature, as every popular post eventually dies out and disappears from your home feed in a few hours, a day at most. That doesn't mean they won't be valuable to someone finding them through a search engine weeks or months later. And even a day-old post is easier to find through Google than reddit's own search function.
While i understand some users need to delete their account in extreme circumstances (doxxing, harassment, etc.), let's assume it's not the case here; just someone casually deleting their comments on a regular basis like they would delete their browser cookies.
What would happen if a large portion of reddit users started doing the same ? Fresh posts would be untouched, but everything older than a few days or a week would gradually become unreadable. Posts older than a month would be frustratingly useless.
Do you see this as a minor annoyance, or something that shouldn't be allowed ? It can be argued it falls within reddit's definition of spam ("repeated, unwanted, or unsolicited manual or automated actions that negatively affect redditors, communities, and the Reddit platform"). Here’s the details: Going in October - just me and 9-year-old Doing 6 total nights with 3.5 park days and 2 pool / springs / boardwalk days. Will be park hopping but prioritizing MK and HS. I've actually been trying for a few months now to apply for that certain position and thankfully, I got an e-mail saying that I could go in for an interview.
I did the interview and waited for a couple of days. Once a week has passed, I went back to the store to ask about a certain e-mail I got that said something along the lines of:
Thank you for your interest. We appreciate the time you took to apply with us. At this time we have decided not to move forward with your application for our Cashier position.
This isn't the end, though! If a position opens that closely matches your skills and experience, we may contact you as we have new positions that open all the time.
But, on the Work Day website-- it still said that my interview was completed, shouldn't it say that I didn't get accepted or anything?
So, I inquired about that to a customer service person who told me it was odd and to go to the offices to ask about it. I did and they half-explained to me that my file was not with them anymore due to me applying somewhere else but I applied to that other Walmart a LONGTIME ago-- so it wouldn't make sense that my file would get erased from them.
The person in the office that I talked to told me to come back like a few hours later to meet the Cashier Manager, and I did-- and got my second interview there once more. I provided them my number as well along with a paper that has all my availabilities and the 'R-' and 'C-' provided in the emails since I don't know how they'll access my file or anything.
Now, it's been like 5-6 days since the 2nd interview, and I'm stressing a lot. I desperately need this job

She's always absent, late, and if she's present, her classes are incomplete and more often than not, incomprehensible (and from what I've heard from fellow students, she was the same last year, I wasn't in the institution last year though) so I, with the help of some students, presented a formal complaint to the principal office, this, to have her removed: the institution warned her, that if another complaint were to be present, she'll be fired. Ever since the first letter was filed (which was about 3 weeks ago) clases haven't gotten any better. To the point that some students have even quit the institution all together.
I have been thinking about filing another letter, but here's the thing, she recently told us that her children are sick, and so fellow students who still aren't happy with her class, and aren't truly learning anything, stand by her below average service because "Oh well she's going through tough times".
People have told me that it's shocking that I'm thinking about filing another letter, like caring about my future makes me an asshole, would I be the asshole for doing so though? It's not like she's going to be jobless, likely she'll just be relocated to another school. Here's the facts, at this school, we're all adults, most of us with families or work (or both) to take care of, I can feel empathy for the teacher and her family, but I don't feel like I should compromise my future, just because a teacher at one time was feeling down. If I want to obtain my high-school diploma to eventually go to college, get better job opportunities, so on, I need a teacher who does her job right. Who allows me to learn so I can succeed at the exams this coming september. If I fail the exams because I didn't have a proper teacher, regardless of the reasons, that's a whole lot of more money and time spent in 2025. Money and time I rather spend in college.

The last one he was in the hospital for 4 days due to vomit aspiration, low oxygen levels, and high blood pressure. He was only able to get health insurance at the beginning of this year, so he received medication, but he needed a primary doctor. The earliest I was able to schedule an appointment was for June. Thursday morning, May 9th, he passed away after having another seizure in his sleep. I am completely devastated. My entire life has been flipped around and I’m so confused. Outside of the seizures he seemed completely healthy. I wake up every morning since still looking for him. My daughter will have to grow up without her father who loved her so much. At the hospital, my mother contacted his mom to break the news. My boyfriend and his mom had a very estranged relationship. She had not seen or spoken to him since January, when we visited for his birthday. Back in 2019, she agreed to help us with our housing situation. Agreements were made without paperwork and we moved into an apartment she and her spouse (poorly) renovated. We struggled to afford rent there, and they evicted us after we fell short on rent. We decided to move 5 hours away to stay with my mom and his relationship with his mom has been strained since. There were also many instances before we met where she was not kind to him, including in his childhood. After hearing the news, she immediately demanded he back home to have his service there. She later apologized and said she sent me that message to “put a fire under my butt”. Yesterday (Tuesday), after a lot of confusion and mess, his body finally arrived in his hometown to the funeral home. I let her know. She called me later that afternoon to let me know she had to shell $10,000 out of her own pocket for the embalming he did not want. After the call, I could not calm down and became very upset. I have felt like everything is about money and attention for her. She has all these people surrounding her, hugging, praying and feeling sorry for her, when she hadn’t even called him for his birthday in years. My daughter barely knows who she is. I sit in the home we shared that will soon need to be packed up with just my mom and child. I can’t afford to stay here without him and will have to move back with my mom. I can’t even sleep in the bed I’ve shared with him for all this time. After all this is over she will return to the same life. Every aspect of mine will change.
