As for my values, I'm very liberal and an atheist. You don't have to share my views exactly, but I'm being upfront now to avoid causing issues later. I drink sometimes and don't use drugs. 2024.05.15 07:21 funsize_trombone_kid Will NetPass make it safe to region break a Japanese 2DS?
Hey all, sorry if this is a stupid question lol. My partner got a Japanese 2ds to hack back when the servers were going down and we found out that region breaking it to change the language might make it impossible to play some online games. We like playing stuff like Fantasy Life and Mario Kart DS together, so this isn't ideal. With NetPass coming around, would it be safe to region break it? I heard there are efforts to make online play possible for most/all 3ds games. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks :)

Mario Kart 8 at the time was just that one game I got for free when buying my Switch years ago. Recently playing again I find myself getting back into it and craving the online multiplayer experience.
While just playing against NPC’s or local friends I’ve found I like bikes. To be fair I haven’t give karts too much or a chance to test out. I recently looked up on google “best bike build” for the game and someone recommended: Vehicle: Mr. scooty, roller wheels, cloud glider. ⚠️this post is NOT a request at all⚠️ I recently found the b3313 game rom (a super Mario 64 rom hack) and I want to know if is there any way to make it into a CIA file to play the hack on my homebrew 3Ds or something like that. If anybody knows there’s an actual way to make it possible please lmk what I must do to get through it.

I love Dave the Diver and the Lego games for the Switch as I really enjoy having a list of things to collect/complete. For example, I'm almost done getting lvl 10 on all the menu items in Dave the Diver. I also like these because they're pretty laid back. I like collecting the moons in Mario Odessey, but some nights when I want to play, I just don't want to be spending 30+ minutes trying to time a series of jumps right.
I did try Animal crossing, but I was pretty bored with it, I think because I couldn't see a list with all the tasks to do or items to collect.

Genre: Racing, specifically motorbike / Moto GP type racing
Estimated year of release: 1993-1997 ish? It may have been older and I may have just played it in that time frame, so not 100% sure on this one
Graphics/art style: Pixel art, IIRC with raster-type shading.
The colour scheme was quite basic, four colours IIRC, black, pink, cyan, and some white (see image below).
The art style was stylized, but at this point I am unsure if that was intentional or just a product of the tech constraints at the time.
Overall the game felt dark, looking back now, almost vaporwave-y - I think I remember some sort of city skyline in the background.
Notable characters: I only remember there being the racer that you control, plus some CPU racers. No named characters AFAIK.
Notable gameplay mechanics: You controlled your racer in a third-person view; not top down. More like the OG Mario Kart or OutRun (only in terms of control/gameplay, not colours or the overall vibe.)
