Basically the sibling doesn't have to hate to the mc or anything, but when they notice their parent(s) treat/raise the mc better than they ever did for them they feel jealous/resentment and theres an arc where the parent learns to dote on their other children.
Either that or any OIs where all the siblings are loved the parents more or less equally from the getgo.
I just feel bad when I see the father's compete with the older brothers for the mcs love. Like no, your other child who you've been cold to their entire lives is right there, playing with their sibling. Be nicer to them pls.

I am trying to upgrade a Honeywell Pro 8000 so that I can have both a remote monitoring / managing capability thru a phone app as well as use a remote temperature sensor. The current thermostat is in an adjoining closet from the space that it controls. However, there are/is a wired sensor(s) so that it can monitor the actual temperature of the rooms. I would like to go to the VisionPro 9000 as it supports Apps. However, I can't tell if it supports wired or wireless sensors. Would love to just reuse the wired sensors, but willing to change. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Graham GMT Razel GT - $450 Original owner of this knife. This is a midtech I purchased back in 2019. I hopped on this quickly as I missed out on the original GMT Razels back in the day and wanted something from Jon. I could never bring myself to carry or use this knife, just had so much appreciation for the design and creativity behind it. Has the classic Graham pocket clip that allows it to slide discretely into your pocket.
Graham GMT Rhino - $450 Original owner of this one as well. While this is a midtech, I did purchase this from Jon’s website as a “Pimped Out Rhino Shorty.” These were midtechs that Jon did some extra work on to make them just a little more special than your run-of-the-mill GMTs. This never saw any pocket time or cut anything, I just really appreciated Jon’s creative designs.
Scorpion 6 Mektig - $500 This is a custom Mektig from Scorpion 6 Knives. I’m the original owner of this knife and actually had some input on the design of this specific knife. I spoke with Shane back in 2016 and gave him my ideas on how I would like to customize my Mektig and this was the result. Super cool knife with rattlesnake scales and Loki finish on the blade. The blade is heavy and while the blade does come out with the flipper, giving it a little extra wrist motion makes this thing fly out. This is #76 from the first run of Mektigs. Comes with original box, papers, and certificate of authenticity.
Kershaw Skyline - $50
Second owner of this knife, bought it off somebody here on K_S a few years back. I’ve used it to open a couple letters and packages here and there, hasn’t seen much use in the last few years. Didn’t realize it was discontinued until I searched the subreddit to get an idea of what these go for nowadays. Centering is good, lockup is decent, still holds a nice edge, and flips out quickly.
LynchNW All Access Pass - $60
Original owner of this V1.2 All Access Pass from LynchNW. Has a birthday of December 2016. Bought this back when BladeHQ had a big restock, but never did find a reason to carry or use it. Super cool in concept, just never really needed it since I have my Leatherman most of the time.

I really wanted to share a couple of TikTik accounts of fitness/health experts who don't buy into any food-related BS and scare tactics, and have healthy and manageable attitudes toward food. I'm making this a thread because I'd love to hear more! We are inundated with so much toxicity surrounding "good" and "bad" ways to eat, and foods, and chemicals, it's infuriating. Here's mine:

• Liam is a dietetics major who works in sleep medicine and a fitness enthusiast who is amazing, and debunks a lot of BS rumors that influencers spread about how dangerous certain foods are. He also makes and tries a lot of hacks/recipes and has a lot of great suggestions.
• James Coppola is a fitness coach who calls out the bullshit of other fitness influencers who promote harmful tactics and shaming tactics around fitness.
• Dr. Idz is a doctor who debunks a lot of bullshit surrounding fear tactics in food, and he uses scientific evidence, imagine that!
• Food Science Babe is a food scientist/chemical engineer who also debunks BS from influencers who use scare tactics regarding what foods are good and bad for you and why.

I find these accounts really uplifting and informative, and a great counter to all the doom and shame that is so prolific on the internet.

The prevailing narrative is that men are the major purveyors and subjugators of sexism.
In my exp however I have seen the opposite (don’t care about the past - only present time in the West).
This isn’t chronic online disease either. I’m a very worldly person, with a ton of experience and very socially skilled. Three parties a ton in my younger days. Never had issues with women.

Almost all women use terms like “a real man”.
That’s a sexist phrase. Period. Hello!? Lmao!
Almost NO women police sexism FROM WOMEN. But they’ll police it whenever a man has a sexist expectation/boundary, performs a sexist act or makes a sexist comment.
Women most often define a real man as anything convenient for her. He works, provides, he leads but doesn’t control, he’s physically fit and trained in fighting, handy around the house, can change a tire/oil, he is confident and yet humble, he sounds like a great guy. He is non-violent but very capable of violence, he’s patient with her. I’ve even heard things like “a real man can handle a strong woman (code for disagreeable). A real man can handle me at my worst (code for antisocial). A real man doesn’t body shame. (Women body shame more than anyone on earth).
So what’s a real woman? Apparently that questions inappropriate. Lmao.
A man should pay on dates, be a gentleman etc.
Ok - can we say what a woman should do? Lmao.
Because if I said a real woman doesn’t argue with her man (biblical) you’ll call that sexist. If I said a real woman can cook - sexist. If I said a real woman loves kids…

Just the title. I’ve been playing this game nonstop since release and have been grinding ranked all season. As a plat 1 I solo Q today and get a team of plats against a whole tournament of diamonds, first round, second round, and final, we were the only plats against all diamonds. We lost in the final round barely but I went up three arrows. I was excited and checked my leaderboard and I went down 1k spots. What more do you want me to do?? It’s so demoralizing that it’s making me seriously consider putting the game down until they fix their ranking system or just indefinitely. Shadow of the erdtree is almost out, might quit this game in favor of that idk

Hey everyone, a couple of weeks ago I was travelling in Frankfurt area using S-bahn. I bought a ticket in the app, and they charged me the ticket price, but the ticket did not load in the app. When controller came over, they said they need to write a fine, but that I can go to the RMV (local public transport operater) office and show them the proof of pay and that they will cancel the fine. When I went to the office they told me I need to do it online and send a mail, since they cannot do that. Once I contacted them via mail they said that they cannot cancel the fine if I don't show them the valid ticket. I sent them the proof of payment and explain the situation once more but they still refuse.
Now I want to respond that I will not pay it and that they can sue me if they want - I will respond with my lawyer. Can anyone help me write that part of email? I would like to hit the correct phrasing with maybe also quoting exact consumer protection law or something similar, to make it more solid. Thanks in advance!

I have been the care taker for my parents for 3 yrs. My mom has mild cognitive issues and my dad is 6'2 and has let him self physically weather away from his own neglect. My brother lives close but sees them once every 4 yrs and barely calls, I have 2 sisters who live far away and again barely visit. So I've been on my own for 3 yrs with my wife and kids. We live in a house they bought, they have a in law suite and we live in the house. They pay the mortgage, we take care of all bills, food, cell phone, cable take them to appointments, take care of their needs such as cutting their hair changing diapers, pick them off the ground when they fall, etc... Recently my dad had to go to the hospital for blood infection. I went from The Golden child for taking care of my parents to being reported by social services by my dad and sister. Shortly after I was disound from my father. Stating his loss all respect for me for how we have treated him and my mother. At the same time he has been told he can never go home and he has to go to a nursing facility 24/7. I very much feel I'm being the scapegoat. Cuz at the same time he is telling me that my mother will be staying with us at the house and I am to take care of her. But yet he still wants to disown me for how I treated them. My sister has told me her distaste for me for how we have treated and used my parents. But it went to a whole new level when we found out that she reported us to the office of aging for stealing from my mother, And that we don't pay rent. A lot of my sister's allegations are coming from my 85-year-old senile father. Just screaming information. He knows nothing about. So now I have office of aging looking into me, everyone but my mother has disowned me, and my whole world has been flipped upside down. There will be no fixing any of these relationships. I know that. Misery loves company I have been coming to Reddit to see that I'm not the only one with a s***** family going through chaos.

Title says it all - I love, LOVE minis. My mom started it, I blame her, but I had a deep love for tiny objects of all sorts. I have a history of working with clay, resin, soaps and embroidery, but have never tried making my crafts tiny. I have pretty serious carpal tunnel at 26yrs but really want to try my hand at making minis. Does anyone have experience with carpal tunnel and tiny work, or any tips to not murder my hands?

I’m a chronic worrier, overthinker, always anxious, etc. It gets worse in any relationship I’m in. I love my boyfriend and I’m so happy with him, but I’m always terrified he’ll get tired of me and leave. Of course in the beginning everything is fine and always happy, but as we’ve passed the 6 month mark there’s time where I’m not as “angelic” as I once was and I’m always so scared he’s gonna get tired of me because of it.

I know couples argue and everything isn’t perfect all the time but I can’t help but worry still :( especially because my boyfriend is so laid back and doesn’t even ever yell or like to argue, I’m afraid he’ll see me as annoying and just tired of my moods.
