Sorry for the long story
My girlfriend has BPD, we've only been together for a month (sounds crazy to say out loud cause of this story tbh), and for the first two weeks it was amazing. She's super smart and beautiful and she would ask me tons of questions about myself. It always felt like she was doing everything she could to get to know me. We would spend tons of time together, and never fought or anything. Then we had a minor argument. After a few days of drama and very little talking (she was ignoring me), we made up. Despite making up, she doesn't want to see me, and only texts me. The texting was also very dry and she would ignore me for hours unless it was sexual. After a few days of this I told her I was bothered by it and that I thought she was avoiding me, to which she told me she was indeed avoiding me, and that because of BPD she goes through periods where she isolates herself away from everyone else and never wants to talk. I told her it was fine and that I still cared about her.
After that we didn't talk or text for two days, I had sent the last message, which was basically "I really care about you, I'm here if you want to talk". So at this point it's been about 5-7 days since we last did anything but text. Then out of the blue she deleted every photo she ever texted of herself to me (sexual and not sexual). I got mad and sent her a message that basically said I tried my best to be good and understanding with her but I'm not gonna be okay with her just leaving me with no explanation, and that it's not okay to treat people like that, so I blocked her on SC. From my point of view it seemed like she led me on for two weeks and then randomly cut me off with zero communication because of an insignificant argument. Two days later she texted my phone number for the first time ever, and apologized and said she did it because she thought she was using me, I was too good for her, she couldn't give me the commitment I desired, and that she felt guilty for using me as a rebound. I was kind of dumbfounded because I am constantly, in almost a pestering kind of way, telling her how much I enjoy spending time with her, how she's pretty, etc. I do not know if I even believe her fully, I'm not that amazing of a person at all, especially not compared to her.
We both apologized (in that last message I sent her before blocking I was pretty rude ngl) and made up. I thought this would be the end of the debacle, but she's apparently still isolating herself from everyone and our only form of interaction is texting. We will text for hours at a time, and even exchange photos, but she does not want to see or call me and will make up obviously fake excuses, that I usually just pretend to believe. I have brought it up and she says that it's not my fault it's hers, and if I want, she can carve out time to see me. The problem though, isn't that I don't get to see her, it's that it feels like she doesn't want to see or have anything to do with me. I don't want to see her if she's forcing herself to do it, the point is that we're both supposed to enjoy it. It's now been 2 out of the 4 weeks that we've been dating that I haven't seen her, and our only form of talking is through texting lol.
She's also still hanging out with her friends, and I think tries to hide it, but I've never outright confronted her on it. If I ask her what she did in the day she'll tell me everything, and omit the hanging out with friends part, which I know is happening. Obviously, her socializing with her friends is great, but she tells me that the isolation has nothing to do with me, and that she just doesn't want to interact with anyone at all. She assures me it's just a phase, but it's extremely hard on me and I'm kind of losing it. I'm trying to make this work, because I felt we were very compatible, but I'm starting to lose faith that she cares about me at all.
Sorry for the long story, but does this sound salvageable/temporary or is she just too afraid to break up with me. I swear I go back on it every hour. It seems like she likes me because of how she texts with me, and tells me that she really appreciates how I treat her, but I can't imagine liking someone that much and not wanting to see them for 2 fucking weeks (and still counting. I have no idea what to do. Every time I bring it up she just says sorry and that she has BPD and chronic depression, then I feel bad and apologize for bringing it up lol.
Typing this out made me realize that this is ridiculous and there's no way it's gonna work. My lord what a wreck. I swear those first two weeks were so nice, I've never had anyone come after me like that. The switch up was wild, I've never had someone go from wanting to spend hours alone with me everyday to just nothing. I think I'm gonna give it a week and if nothing changes I'm just gonna apologize and tell her I can't do it.

So, I've had this in mind for some time now, it it was only a couple of days ago that I decided to put these lyrics to "paper", for lack of a better term. Basically, I decided to share them on this Sub in case anyone might be interested in them.

I am not diagnosed with Cervical instability, but my primary actually listened to me when I brought up all of my issues and they line up with that type of diagnosis.. I am waiting on my neurologist to see what he wants to do after I get an EMG on my nerves in my arm and leg..
This is one that I forget because it isn’t constant and it happens once in awhile, depending on head position while asleep. I sleep on my back and only my back. Sometimes my head can fall to either side, but when I woke, my head was flat and facing forward but on a small incline. I have to sleep a bit propped up due to me being a heavy person. I cannot sleep flat. Anyway, I woke up from a dream because of my ears whooshing with my heartbeat. I slowly started moving my head to find a position to get it to stop. When I finally got up, I felt tension at the base of my neck. I am pretty sore up my neck and back but I am also having sciatic issues over the past few days and lower back pain. I guess my neck wanted to invite itself over to the pain party.. it’s not as bad as it can be at times, but it sure brought anxiety with it..
Of course, I fell back onto Google to “reassure” me like I usually do. Trying not to focus on the “omg you’re going to die of some sort of disease or cancer!” articles and went for the real possible ones.. The only issue was, there were less that agreed that neck issues can be the cause and that it is something more..
I want to be clear that I do not always have this type of pulsing in my ears. It is once in a while, it happens when my head is in some position that I guess my body doesn’t like and there can’t be proper flow? I do have the regular more common tinnitus daily.. Ringing of different pitches and it happens randomly in one ear, but has happened in both at different times. Who knows.. but I wanted to ask this community because I felt that if anyone here has pulsatile tinnitus, I could get some reassurance. I have no head pain or throbbing, I only have some neck pain. I am in a pain flare, and I can tell I’m super inflamed all over.

Preferably something that plugs right into my MacBook Air but not mandatory :) Thanks in advance!

Hey guys. I'm keen to start learning to wheelie and currently have the stock levers on the bike. I mention that because I have read that you should at least have some fingers on the bar when pulling in the clutch so that you don't lose grip on the bike if it jolts forward. It also just seems like a good habit. Anyhow, when I pull the clutch with 2 fingers, the clutch lever stops against my pinky+ring finger and isn't completely disengaged so the gears get clunky. It seems like I have to run the clutch basically on it's furthest setting to get it to disengage before hitting my fingers(even then it doesn't seem super smooth). Is that what all the wheelie hoons are doing? anything to consider when doing so? Thanks

I woke up at 2am and thought about Charlie Bird.
I had been reading through his Instagram the day before to figure out his position on the church and thoughts on how it harms the lgbtq community. What I gathered is that he’s sad for them but he loves the church. He said he drives slowly by the temple because he loves it so much but can’t go in. (Lol, what? Really? No one actually loves the temple, though I understand that I had once told myself i loved the temple as well).
His Instagram pictures are so edited. He’s so happy in all of them like he’s just living in absolute bliss. I recognize the outward image of perfection, in similar fashion to most Mormon mommy Instagram pages. It’s the moral code of righteous Utah Mormonism, don’cha know.
So I was just reflecting on this at 2am and trying to put into words why this is so weird to me, to love the church, to be banned from the temple, to know the pain it has caused him and others, to post fake happy pictures, and promote a happy gay life in adjacent to the church.
I thought up an analogy to what this is like: Dad has a big house and a big yard and lots of children. He kicked out all of his gay children and said that they can’t come in the house at all, but they can hang out in the yard for bbqs if they don’t act too gay,( but he made an exception for Charlie. He can be in the yard and act super gay because he’s good publicity. I mean we’re all really happy for him, of course. Yay for Charlie.)
Some of the gay children were so hurt, they decided not to live anymore. Some left and sought therapy. Most were pretty angry and of course didn’t come to the bbqs.
But Charlie stuck around for the bbqs. He loves his dad anyway. He looks in the windows of the house and is just so happy to be near the house, hoping one day his dad will let him in. All the straight children think Charlie is so great to stick around. What a great example of devotion! Wow, Charlie. That is super.
Um, but that’s also really fucked up. I just want to back away slowly from everyone on that property, actually. Let’s not make eye contact the neighbors… (unfortunately we’re related to a lot of them..). It’s just awkward.

Me (f25) and my fiancé (f26) have been together for 2 years and we recently moved in with eachother. I’m worried I made a mistake and need advice. My partner is quite attached to his family still and probably a mamas boy and his mother is overbearing. I have put up with it but slowly I’m getting worried what I’m getting myself into here.
Some Examples:

• I recently moved in with him (he moved out of his parents place) and he was super sad in the first few days as he missed his mommy.
• On the first weekend in the new place he went to spend all day at his parents place as he missed them. I didn’t want to join as I wanted to focus on getting more settled into the new place.
• He wants to go on holidays with his parents and me whereas i think we should go as a couple
• His mum did everything for him when he lived at his parents (cooked, laundry, cleaning, insurance, internet etc) and hes used to that sort of thing
• his mother bought us a shit ton of stuff for our apartment that we didn’t even ask for, she keeps trying to insert herself into our lives by doing things like that
• his mom went engagement ring shopping with him when he got me the ring not sure if thats normal?
• his mum will repeatly say that i have to give her a grandchild theres no choice in the matter and that she will spoil the grandchildren so much blabla and when i say i dont want them to be spoilt and materialistic she brushes me off and says sorry but im spoiling them

These are just some examples theres heaps more.. i’m just worried what i’m getting myself into. Does anyone have advice?

Hi!! Time to throw my hat into the ring. I have been fortunate enough to make some truly meaningful friendships online. I figured hey, if I could find them, why not look for a relationship this way too?
What I'm looking for:
End goal? A life partner, in every sense of the word. That person who will be there for you no matter what, and you for them. Someone who I can make hot cocoa for and spend all night with, huddled under blankets on the sofa watching movies and talking about life. :)
But of course, it takes time to foster a relationship that is at that point. I like to pace myself when getting to know someone for that very reason. I want to be sure that I can give my whole self to a person, you know? That is some vulnerable stuff. So to start, it'd probably just be chatting online before graduating to more and more stuff slowly.
Anyway, that’s the preamble. Now into a bit about me, I guess. I’m 26, as mentioned in the title. I’m from the northeast of the US. I love having deep conversations about life/philosophy/relationships, but also really enjoy video games, film, novels, comics, etc.
Before I go any farther, I might as well start with the "fundamentals" so I don't waste your time/vice-versa.
The fundamentals:

• Physically? I’m 6’2. Short brown hair, blue eyes, paaaaasty white.
  
• I’m from a Hispanic background. Still learning the language though. That’s been really fun and challenging.
  
• Career Goals: Currently 1 year left in undergrad. (Yeah, at 26… long story short, health issues are stupid. Happy to share if you want). I’m pretty driven and take school seriously. I'm approaching my future career with the same level of ambition and drive. I’m likely headed out to California/LA after I get my degree, just so you're aware. I’m looking for something serious that’d eventually be in person, so if that locale doesn’t work, we probably aren’t a match—but I wish you the best! :)
  
• I do envision having kids when I can feasibly financially support them and am in a healthy relationship.
  
• I lean liberal on the social and political spectrums, but I'm not staunchly liberal. It's not a major part of my identity, but I know it can be important to people, so I'm just putting it out there.
  
• I do believe in God. I was raised Catholic, but I'm still figuring “belief” out. Though I don't ascribe to everything in Catholicism anymore, it's still a part of my background and of who I am. If you’re from a different or no faith background, that’s totally fine, but I don't think I'd be compatible with someone who is an atheist.
