We are looking for technology to replace current BI system based partially on SSAS.
Where you can create measures, for example, a section of the auto generated SSAS Cube would have:

Then, if the end user then uses this in dashboard that supports SSAS (eg: BoldBI, PowerBI) in a chart that displays a number, it would show a single numeric results of a query equivalent to:

SELECT COUNT(DISTINCT `23503_ Vendor Name``) AS DistinctVendorCount FROM `Form_3223_ Market Vendor Attendance`; 

However, and here is something really cool about what SSAS does, that I have not found any other solution in the market to provide the same functionality:
If the user now goes, and creates a Bar Chart, drags the SAME measure expression defined above, BUT also drags a filter, say Vendor Type column - the bar automatically populates! By reverse engineering, the matching SQL query is:

SELECT `23505_ Vendor Type` AS VendorType, COUNT(DISTINCT `23503_ Vendor Name``) AS VendorCount FROM `Form_3223_ Market Vendor Attendance` GROUP BY `23505_ Vendor Type`; 

This gives the same data needed for a bar chart!
I cant programmatically create varying views like that, when the user does not know how he want to slice the data until actually working on it, because I only have one data point without the filter.
Adding the filter in advance is not practical for the business needs, and playing around with changing it in one part of the platform, then going back into dashboard to see the effects of the newly generated View, is also not great UX experience.
For business reasons, there is a constraint forcing the use of this model, relying on user defining partial things like I've explained, and only later slicing into dimensions.
However SSAS has to go its just too slow (and expensive).
The only alternative I've found, is Apache Kylin, but it seem to be old, Java based, not well maintained, lacks community support - I've spent hours trying to set it up using:

1. Docker (no arm image, and even using amd64 on Mac, it just gets stuck on some components.
2. Direct install using the tar file - ${KYLIN_HOME}/bin/kylin.sh start just hangs there, no log file is created I can't tell what's going on with it.

This and lack of documentation in various aspects, makes me feel its not something we can base a new solution on.
But I have not found any other solution that'd provide the above described functionality.
Any advice, please?

Because of the structure of the business some of the products go into the system, and about 40% are done as “quick items” where the vendor numbers and item are entered as the title.
The problem: My mom is veryyyyy challenged with all things numbers/money so I typically handle a lot of the books, and all sales reports and my dad helps with the bills and payments - however all three of us have ADHD and really struggle with timing on top of being extremely busy outside of the store.
Because of the limits in our POS, for the sales reports I have created a GIANT Google spreadsheet, where I go through each sale, and by hand enter in each item sold, quantity, vendor #, and price. From there each vendor gets their own sheet, I total each vendors profit and commission by hand, THEN send out the reports via email (also by hand by copy + paste) typically a few hours/days/weeks later my parents sit down and try to pay the vendors, this is tedious and also involves entering their individual profit by hand, to then have a physical check sent in the mail.
This has obviously created a vast amount of issues with vendors, and overall bookkeeping. I love data/spreadsheets but my mom is anti anything manual and so there is zero tracking of inventory in addition to the hot mess of a system. In an ideal world, I love to have a system automated to generate the reports and then send to the vendors. Which would then 2-3 days later also auto send payment. I know this is an ideal world, but if anyone has any possible suggestions/programs/solutions or really anything that would help to manage the vendors, the reports/inventory and payment that would be incredibly helpful. As a note, I love tech and will gladly put in the time upfront to get a fully functioning system. However the problem is getting everyone on the same page and relatively user friendly interface.

Our idea is to create a closed loop, from research and discovery, through the implementation and deployment of solutions, to the feedback stage of this system, analyzing the results (qualitatively or quantitatively) to generate new insights and indicate new objectives.
Some big techs (such as Google and Microsoft) work with this end-to-end approach, basing solutions with a lot of analysis and research for internal customers (generating products that we use on a daily basis), but also for external customers, signing consultancy contracts with third parties.
It is worth noting, however, that not every discovery process necessarily results in software sales, and may also culminate in a paradigm shift, marketing strategies, acquisition and information management, etc. That's why we have such a diverse group of talents. That's why we are design-driven. This way we can focus on individuals and interactions more than on processes and tools, as proposed in the Agile Manifesto.

I have several forms that I have to fill periodically and I am tired of doing them manually. I would like to know what programming language I could use to manipulate those docs (libreoffice docs) so I can generate copys of thise forms quth the data already on them.
My idea would be to add some reference names (something like variables in the form) and then use a script to replace those "variables" with the data I want (maybe data stored in spreadsheet on libroffice calc)

I work for a company that manages advertising campaigns for local agents of big companies. We create hundreds of identical perforated vinyl ads for store entrances, with the only customization being the size and store name. Currently, we edit everything manually, which is a major bottleneck.
The Setup:

• We have an Excel sheet with hundreds of entries (size, store name, phone number, etc.).
• All ads use the same 6 objects and 3 text boxes.
• We need to size and position these elements according to specific rules based on the data.

What I've Tried (and Why It Didn't Work):

• Data Merge: This works for text, but not for object placement and resizing.
• InDesign Liquid Layout: Limited control and flexibility for our needs.
• CSS Layout Coding: Not practical for print design and achieving high-quality output.
• Illustrator Actions/Scripts: Haven't explored this yet, but open to learning more.
• Signage Design Software: Couldn't find any programs specifically designed for this type of bulk ad creation.

The Dream Solution:

I like Izuru because he's a very smart and OP character but we couldn't see much of him. He's talented asf, I love him, he looks so cool with those long hair and red eyes of him, he knows how many sides an octagon has unlike Hajime, he knows how to deal with Junko, he's awesome and I love his hair, he got his own cute little spot in the villains wiki, 91 cm, he's logical and thinks with his brain, not by heart, Kamukura Kamukura Yas Queen, he wins every stare contest easily, He's named after the founder of Hope's Peak Academy, he's so relatable and he likes boats and seacrafts just like me, he manages to look cool everytime, his design in the anime is perfect, his happy pixel in the villains wiki is adorable, he's the right one for me I'll never stop loving him, he has all the talents, I find it funny how he thinks talented people are superior to the ones without talent and how he doesn't hesitate to express his disgust towards them, he does that in a polite way, I love how excited he got from the boat's rocking because he couldn't predict it and didn't understand that he was in a boat until Nagito told him that, I find it so relatable that he finds everything boring and predictable to a degree that he's chronically bored, he is in a search of identity as well, I love how he easily blocked Mukuro's attack and how he easily dodged Junko's attacks, he's so fricking cool. I’m calling myself an old and lost soul because I don’t really have a proper name for it, so let me explain what I mean.
Ever since I was young, I feel like I’ve been seeing the world differently. As a kid I didn’t really realise. As I grew older, I learned more about what was going on in the world. The issues in the big world, but also in my own small world. I’ve never understood why people are they way they are, or why they act the way they do. I can’t really come up with big examples, but one of the things I just can’t get is how we deal with each other.
Take relationships for example. In today’s standards, cheating happens a lot. Lying happens a lot. Of course there are also a lot of exceptions, but it just seems so popular this generation. This is a small example. Technically, I’m from gen Z (I’m 25) but I don’t feel like I belong to that generation, seeing how the entire generation treats each other. I’ve always put respect, trust and love up front, and it feels like nobody else does. This often gets me disappointed and hurt, up to the point I have simply accepted that I am different.
It’s nice to be unique, but it’s also extremely lonely. I have trouble connecting with people my age. Sure, I can hold a conversation, I can have a laugh with a co-worker, but that’s about it. There is no one who I can talk to about deeper things as well as have fun. I feel like empathy, respect and understanding are what’s lacking in today’s society. This world has become so cold.
So anyway… an old, lost soul. One who longs for a deeper connection, a deeper meaning. An open-minded spirit in a narrow-minded, ego-driven world.

My mother called me abusive.
I recently finished school and moved back in with my family. My mother and I have always been very close, but returning home for holidays in the past few years made me realize I might need some distance from her. Despite these realizations, I often dismissed them as me being dramatic until I was back home again.
Our relationship has its complexities. For example, we repeatedly have discussions where I ask her not to share certain personal information with others, yet she acts like those conversations never happened. She also convinces me to share my emotions, promising to keep them private, only to later deny I ever told her anything when she breaks that trust. Despite knowing I shouldn't trust her, the periods of calm between these incidents always make me believe she's learned, though she never does. But we are also known as a duo and go everywhere together when times are good - or that we get it out. It feels like a cycle of fight, I tell her why I'm upset, she says okay (sometimes she will say ok I'll try harder) and we both move on. Until the next time it's ignored....
I realized I need to do something or I never will. Last week, after being called abusive has been my breaking point. I genuinely asked multiple people after this situation if I am inadvertently abusive and never realized it- it made me question myself.
Anyways, I was driving my mother to a Mother's Day celebration on Saturday (one day before Mother's Day) when I politely told her I didn't appreciate the timing of a comment she made earlier in the living room. For context, my mother has a rocky relationship with her parents. My grandfather, a car salesman, promised me a vehicle for my graduation, which I saw as a peace offering for him taking money out of my education fund his past wife set up for me (she passed almost a decade before I went to use the education fund and put it in my and his name, I guess so he could invest that money). My father does not like my grandfather and did not know about the car, he thought my grandfather was bluffing. My father upon first hearing this was concerned about the logistics and the implications of me accepting this car, so I had a private conversation with my mother regarding the car on Friday night when I found out it was happening.
Saturday, my mother brought up the car in front of my dad despite my request for discretion (my grandfather is not known for being 100% honest so I thought I was calling his bluff and if he was being genuine maybe he had changed and we could have a relationship). This led to a familiar argument about her not listening to me. As we continued to argue, she started screaming at me for being 'difficult.' I pulled over, refusing to drive while crying, and she accused me of being unappreciative of her parenthood sacrifices. In the heat of the argument, I echoed her past sayings back to her, pointing out her hypocrisy. Her response was then to accuse me of being abusive and manipulating her by me not being a 'happy person despite [her] parental sacrifices'. She referenced someone coming up to her asking her if she was okay after a public argument we had last summer, as evidence of my alleged abuse.
I was stunned. I asked for more examples, but she kept repeating that one incident and how a stranger had asked if she was okay. The stranger had also asked me if I was okay, but I had started walking out of that situation because I was heated and did not want to take it out on any passersby. She continued to scream at me, and I could do nothing but sob.
When we got home, I retreated to my room and cried for hours. My mother, on the other hand, took a nap and went to a comedy show for the rest of the night. The next day, she ignored me completely, even at breakfast on Mother's Day. I felt stuck, and was unable to visit my friends (who live 4 hours away in my university town) or my partner, who only lives an hour away from me but needed to be elsewhere to support a family related tragedy.
That night my dad who had only heard that I had insulted her after being screamed at for 30 minutes suggested I apologize, but when I explained she feels I am abusive, he seemed to understand - and went out to get takeout, which we enjoyed just the two of us that night. For context, him and my mother are still married and probably always will be. They may still love each other, but they haven't liked each other in over a decade.
My mother has since tried to make peace by cooking me food, and what feels like interrogating me about my life (i.e my dad told her I had a job interview yesterday so when she saw me this morning before I went to go help out an elderly neighbour with with their house chores, my mother grilled me about the interview and anything else she could think of that is new with me in the past week. I responded with as few words as possible to be polite instead of completely ignoring her but then she blew up and said she deserves to know more about my life because she is my mother. I just told her I was in a rush, did not have time for that BS, and left.) but obviously that will not mend our relationship. Despite everything, she is still planning our usual summer vacation, that just her, myself and my brother goes on. This vacation is also always 15-18 hour drive away so it's only me and her that take turns driving as my brother is younger and only has a learning permit.
On top of this, my grandfather is indeed giving me the car, but my dad is worried it's a way for my grandfather to try to stay connected to me and possibly manipulate me over. He is putting the car in my name and I think I can change the license plates out of his name so I think it's an easy fix to not be directly financially manipulated by him. My dad just knows him better than I do over the years, and I'm worried it will become a 'well do x for me because I bought you a car' but I think I could just say no in that situation. I'm torn between using the car to gain independence while I'm still here or if just moving out would be more economical and better for my mental health. The trouble is being a new grad, I am religiously applying to jobs but all the terms are 4-month contracts which makes it really hard to move to different cities with (upon the entry level job pay being terrible - I would really have to calculate on a per job pay, per location basis if I could afford rent + groceries + car).
I feel trapped and just don't know the best course of action. Seeking advice on how to navigate this situation. Happy to hear other's related experiences too and what they did.
*Please do not comment about how this generation doesn't work hard or respect their parents or such. This is the first time since I started working in childcare at 13 that I have not had a job. And honestly I don't even find those sorts of comments relevant to what I'm asking; I am just wondering other's experiences in the same boat and wondering if it's worth it to fix it with my mom and really just what people with similar experiences have decided to do for themselves in these situations.

Employment! When we entered the adult job market in the 70s, we were in for a shock. We were looking at generations of recessions, wage stagnation, an uncertainty. The only thing we escaped was the military draft
Growing up, we knew families who worked for the same employer for generations. Our friends grandfather's were considering retirement after 30-40 years with the same company. Their sons had been their since before they were born. Maybe even an older brother worked there until he was drafted.
Today? With nearly 40 years in the adult work force, can you name one person that has had the same employer for at least 20 years?

The origins of this list came about when the Denver Nuggets won the NBA chip last year. I asked my bball group chat if winning the NBA chip made Jamal the best NBA player named Jamal/Jamaal. I then made this list:

Also this is how I came up with the list. The list is not in any specific order per letter. Its more like the first name for each letter is the first name I thought of. Whenever I have trouble finishing up the list, I go to Google and basketball reference. I indicate when I do so.
The list is done by first name and not last. So for example, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar will fall under K and not A. The other thing is players will be listed by their actual given name and not nicknames. For example, magic Johnson will be under I for Earvin "magic" Johnson.
