For some context I’m a woman who’s not totally inclined to femininity nor masculinity. I have friends who wear makeup and don’t wear makeup and I don’t favor one above the other. I’m also not a native english speaker so I might butcher some grammar
Let me separate what I mean by conventional makeup vs unconventional makeup. Conventional makeup is the type of makeup that most women are wearing, for example natural, latina, baddie, douyin, and soft makeup. Unconventional makeup is the type of makeup that most women would NOT wear and only a small portion would wear. These women usually group together as a niche demographic and have makeup techniques that are niche to their demographic. For example, goth makeup and art makeup (making artwork above the eyes or drawing large abstract shapes or pictures on the cheeks).
The type of makeup I’m talking about is conventional makeup. The arguments I often hear most women say when defending makeup are a. Using it for authentic self-expression and b. To enhance their features. This is kind of conflicting to the whole activity of makeup because drawing eyeliner gives the illusion of having bigger eyes than their real eyes. Wearing mascara gives the illusion of having thicker lashes than their real lashes. Wearing lipstick gives the illusion of having plumpelightedarker color lips than their original. Their features aren’t enhanced, they become replaced by how the makeup looks on their faces. And instead of expressing their authentic selves, they’re hiding original features of their face. Wearing makeup will never give the ability to show their authentic selves and authentic face because it distorts their original face and features.
Here is where the term “authentic self” is debatable: its meaning. What do most women mean when they say “authentic selves”? Is it truly their authentic selves or the self/personality that they THINK they have? If it’s the latter, well, there’s no argument to be made here, because the very image that they’ve made about themselves is wrong. Like most people, men and women alike, they’re just living in delusion on how people come off to others and the self image that they’ve made about themselves.
Therefore my argument is that women who wear conventional makeup are honestly doing it to make their features look closer to what’s considered conventionally attractive, unless they genuinely have the wrong image of themselves (e.g. a woman uses the reason of authentic self-expression. She genuinely thinks she’s bold and confident while in reality she’s shy and timid.). Sigh I just wish more women are honest about this, there's no shame to wanting to be prettier

I am in a relationship with a wonderful woman. She is super hard working & takes care of her single mom & grandma financially even though she is just 22. I am proud of her. I admire her.
We've been dating for over 10 months now. For the first 9 months, there were no fights & no conflict. But recently, I went on a long trip and we couldn't meet for 6 weeks. When I returned, we had to constantly cancel our plans to meet for strange reasons. She is the kind of person who doesn't ask questions that often & we don't have deep talks which I feel is very important to form a good bond. So when we didn't meet for two months, I started losing patience. I wanted to talk to her properly, which could only happen if we met in person.
She wouldn't call me by herself, and in my heart, I know that's because she isn't used to calling people by herself and she has had past trauma which is causing certain issues in communication. But recently for small reasons, I have been getting really angry at her.
For example, once she sent me a picture of her in a gym and her best friend shirtless. I didn't like it but didn't want to say anything as I felt maybe I was thinking too much so I just sent a thumbs up. Then the next day I saw from my friend's account that she had posted that picture in her Instagram story but I couldn't see it from my profile, because she had hidden it from me. I was already missing her a lot and was frustrated with the lack of communication or affection from her side. And this made me furious. She later explained that she hid me because she knew I didn't like that picture as I had sent a thumbs up. Now, I felt that if she knew I didn't like it, then why not just not post it? Why go through the extra step of hiding me?
I know for sure that nothing is going on between the two but this got into my head. Similar incidents have happened recently. Not big things but I am getting super angry over them and then after a few hours I am like "It wasn't that big of a deal maybe I just shouldn't have gotten angry at her".
Recently when we met, she kept looking at her phone and that was for work purposes but I didn't like it and we fought about that last night.
How do I stop myself from getting angry like that? The communication isn't that good so I just feel a lot of bottled-up frustration and that gets me angry.

Been married for 13 years. Our marriage has been tumultuous from the beginning but I was a lot younger (25) and now that I am older, I just find myself not wanting to put up with a bunch of BS. I am to the point in my life that I want things simple (cause and effect type simple), truthful, and straight (no wasted time on manipulation/emotional gymnastics). I tend to err on the side of logic. Anyhow...there is no love or respect in our relationship. My husband complains that I show him no love and adoration. He says I don't treat him with respect. But he has spent years trying to mind f me during every argument. Like, making me justify why I am mad it him, type stuff. It used to work on me, but as i said, I got older. I'm almost 40 now and i don't have the energy to keep on dealing with the constant manipulation. So here is a classic example. I get mad because he forgets (for the 10k time) to do a chore that I asked him to do (the fact that I had to ask him to do chores after 13 years of marriage is another subject in and of itself), then he says" you're already on me and I worked on your car yesterday. I get no appreciation or respect from you." Let's be clear, when he does do something for me, I thank him to show my appreciation. I guess me thanking him is not showing enough appreciation. I feel like he is trying to get a pass on doing bad things because he did that one good thing a day, week, or month ago. Pretty sure that is manipulative. I don't think he should get a pass because I thanked him for what he did right when he did it. Doing that one thing right doesn't mean he can screw up on other things, because that one good thing has nothing to do with what he dropped the ball on. He also lies about what I do and say. For example, I found out he had a password on his phone. So I took his phone and said you don't get to have a password I don't know about since 1) we are married, and 2) I pay for the phone ( he is "self employeed" and works sporadically and I have a stable career). I told him he could have his phone back when he gave me the password. He then chased me back to my room, tackled me to the bed (knocking pictures off the wall during the process) and ripped my phone that I do not have a password on out of my pocket. He knows ALL of my passwords and has made a big deal about me having password on my phone all together, even when I give him the code. He proceeded to refuse to give me my phone back until I gave him his phone back. He still refused to tell me the password. So I had to give him his phone back in order to get mine back. Remember, I pay for both and previous standards have been that we both have no unknown/unnecessary passwords. He said he has a password because I have deleted recordings of our arguments off his phone...and of corse he starts the recording after he gets me good and pissed. I asked him why he records conversations and he says it is so he can show everyone just how awful I am to him. While we were arguing about the phones that night he had his phone on record and he said that I "ran up to him, punched him in the face, stole his phone, and ran off" when he knows it's total BS. Is he just that manipulative or should I be worried that he is legitimately delusional? What do you all think?

I feel like since summer is approaching in the northern tropical hemisphere, that means rebounds and summer flings are going to be on the up and up.
So I’m here to help those who may not be aware of what a rebound actually looks like in paper and maybe have no idea they were in one at some point.
Heck, it can help many keep a grounded view of their ex is currently rebounding. It’ll help you cope a bit easier when you make sense of why they may have just suddenly in 60 days or less randomly jumped into a new relationship far too soon!
Anyway, let’s dive into this topic.
A rebound relationship means starting a new relationship before emotionally healing from a recent breakup.
Some people may use rebounds to suppress their emotions, get revenge on their ex, or avoid feeling alone.
The signs of a rebound relationship may be challenging to recognize, but emotionally unavailable people often focus on their past partners and fear commitment.
A rebound relationship typically develops when one person remains hyperfocused on their previous partner, keeping them from being fully present or invested in their new partnership.
Someone may harbor old feelings for an ex, whether positive or negative. Getting into another relationship before emotionally healing from the last one can leave their new partner feeling alone, invalidated, and underappreciated.

So I really can't believe Logitech has restricted macros to the F keys on the keyboards. Unreal. I am trying to maybe remedy this with AutoHotKey, but I would need to be able to detect either a profile switch or key press of the G8 button on my G600 mouse.
Is there a way to detect either of these things with Windows Task Scheduler or Event Viewer or... something? If so, I could use that event to launch an .ahk file to act as a pseudo-profile that will self-terminate once a function has successfully exectued.
For example, I want the 1/! key to launch my OneDrive/Documents folder. Or I want the 2/@ key to launch my OneDrive/Pictures folder. I can do this in AutoHotKey easily, but I only want these things to happen once I have triggered Desktop Profile #2. So I would need someway to trigger the .ahk script either when Desktop Profile #2 becomes the active profile, or when I press the button on my mouse (G8) that triggers Desktop Profile #2.

Major waffle warning
I apologise as I admittedly stretched to make this relevant to this sub at all but I was interested to see people’s take on the subject here, given how it does indeed stem from history in which these two figures very heavily influenced at the time
I consider myself a moral (albeit mild) Christian, and I have no issue with the actual concept of immigration, diversity and so forth; it’s simply the very nature of the last century or so especially. Having studied economics at A-level and business at university (before dropping out in the final year for history; oopsies), I learnt all about globalisation and such which of course supports these very concepts and I simply can’t disagree to them
However, I’ll put it simply; illegal immigration, of any race or religion, is indeed illegal, and we should simply send these people on their merry way either back to where they came from or to wherever else they wish to take themselves but here (looking at you Calais)
There’s much social media outbursts (brainrot essentially) of our country’s ratios/percentages of diversity. We are still a country predominantly white Christian/white British; around 75/80% I believe. Our capital, and other cities, are always going to have a higher proportion of diversity, and we shouldn’t have issues with that matter in itself at all; so of course Inner London is only going to be around a third white etc
I live about 5 miles south east of Newcastle in a small village called Rowlands Gill; quite a decent estate that I specifically live in, just a street or two down from where one of the Hairy Bikers Si King used to reside, and asides for my Indian local barber, I genuinely cannot for certain guarantee any non-white person lives here, the entire village I’m talking, no joke. It just goes to show we need to look at our entire national breakdown of diversity to see, quite literally, the bigger picture
If we’re talking about such figures as Lionheart and Saladin, I think they were both rather reasonable (albeit heightened and sensitive at times) figures and examples of their respective religions, and would probably not be surprised at the extent England is in now, nor that of the Middle East (I’ll be quiet about Palestine because my views are inevitably going to contradict those of some others and vice versa)
Have I been called racist before? Absolutely. Have I been called anti-Muslim etc? Absolutely. Have I been told I favour white Christians over any other race or religion? Absolutely. Am I any of those things? No, I simply believe in putting good, reasonable yet still moral policies upon such immigrations; both illegal immigration and, well, immigration
Perhaps I apply to the latter of those three if anything, but I would expect absolutely anyone of any race and religion to be the exact same way regarding their country and their followers in faith; if you value both your God and your country, its history and its patriotism, you are not going to place its priority below others outside of it; that’s simply how it is
I’ll again admit I somewhat (or very rather) stretched the relevancy to the monarchy in order to post this here, but I was curious to see your take on the issues (of course ‘issue’ not always meaning a literal bad thing; there are some positive aspects to this I’m sure)
We are told to “love thy neighbours” (I have not read the entire Bible since I was a child so I’m not going to act like I’m an expert with any unique verses etc; hence my ‘mild’ Christian description) and I’d like to think I am a generally reasonable, soft, caring man on the inside towards anyone of any race, religion, general opinions etc, even if I tend to come off the rather opposite at times externally (I’m sensitive and take everything to heart and will admit to that)
I would always place God and Christians as ‘my people’ first, and no doubt I would expect Muslims, Jews and so on to do the same with their followers, and I don’t think that is wrong at all. However, that does not mean I’ve only ever been close to ‘my people’; at university for business my best friend was called Hussain from Bahrain (lol that rhymes), a very devout Muslim and I miss him dearly; I loved him from the very day we met. I remember one day we were literally discussing the prospects of these very issues arising here (and this was about 4 years ago); I remember he told me something along the lines of “I came here to a country of a different God, and because of this I and my fellow Muslims here must respect this land and its ways” and that is precisely the very logic I am going off; the words of a Muslim friend
I’ll put it like this; I love football; it’s one of the 3 cores of my 23 year life (well since a toddler anyway); football, history, and food (as in actual culinary aspects; I’m not that fat of a pig yet)…I support Liverpool. I’ve never lived there, I’ve only been a few times, and yet I support them; indeed an English team. Does that mean I automatically have no interest nor respect for rivalling clubs (except for cheating Manchester City breaching 115 accounts of finances) or even ‘hate’ these clubs in or out of England? No, absolutely not. I feel this same logic applies to the real world; real people and real religions.
Yes I’m patriotic and I don’t half waffle on about things, but we may as well say our thoughts rather than hiding them away within ourselves to no avail

I'm naturally slower at things than most lawyers. In law school, despite very good grades, I was always the last one to finish an exam. I'm still a new attorney but as my work load has picked up, and I'm trying get things out quickly, I'm finding it more difficult to not make silly mistakes. For example, inconsistent formatting, an extra “the”, or an incorrect section reference. Grammar, editing, and formatting has just never been my strong suit, but on a law school exam it never really mattered. Now that I'm practicing, I feel like my slow work style and lack of editing abilities is catching up to me. My strengths are that I'm extremely organized, a hard worker, and understand complex, big picture topics well. I've been trying to brainstorm how to use these strengths to limit my mistakes. In general, I would love any tips on how to limit silly mistakes despite the time pressures of corporate transactional work. Thanks so much.

Hey all, writing this post primarily to encourage those who haven't tried shooting a match to go out and do so.
I know it's easy to get sucked into lurking around here- trying to absorb all the information you can, acquire all the gear you might need, and then maybe go sign up for a match. I waited far too long to even get out there.
My general progression- I joined this sub about a year back, read Cleckner's book, and did a ton of internet research. I finally bought a dedicated precision rig four months ago and took a PRS 101 class two months ago. Including the match last weekend, I've been on <10 total PRS focused range days. I'm basically a complete beginner.
First- Everyone was extremely friendly. This was a club match so nothing was at stake. I was offered to use someone's chrono, try out someone's bag, offered wind corrections, given advice on how to approach stages, given tips on my positioning, etc. While I'm sure someone's first squad will be filled with assholes, I was shocked at how much everyone was willing to help me out.
I'll for sure be signing up for the next match put on by this group in August.
What I learned- Generally, I was practicing wrong. My biggest limitation in the match wasn't my gear, it was how I was using it. I'm sure the match winner would have still been up there had we switched setups.

• This PRS match was setup to test my positional shooting and my reading of wind/terrain.
  • With positions, I practiced out to 1000 yards 90% from the prone position or from a benchrest. This really did not help me because it was so formulaic.
    • Stage example: We had one shot off of church pews transitioning to a table. Not only did I not practice picking my rifle up, putting it back down, and reacquiring a sight picture quickly, I really did not practice getting stable in unideal/cramped positions. I was totally unprepared for how much my reticle was going to be shifting around and was stuck trying to time my shot or overcompensate.
  • With wind, I could see over the course of a box of ammo how the wind was blowing and adjust so that I was hitting steel with every shot without really focusing on why the wind was acting like it was.
    • Stage example: we had a prone stage where the first 30 yards or so of the bullets flight (and the shooting position) was protected by a berm. I didn't feel any wind on me and so assumed a dead hold. The flight path crossed an unprotected valley for the last 400 yards and my impacts were a couple target widths right and high. I thought my scope got bumped going in between stages until I saw a bird shoot up on an updraft by where the targets were setup. I had no frame of reference to even consider that my elevation adjustment would be affected here.
  • I need to be more thoughtful on how I use my gear.
    • I was running a bipod that I only used when in the prone. Could I have used it more often to get another point of contact? Probably. Did I even consider using it elsewhere? Nope.

What I will be practicing differently for the next one- I plan to practice a ton more positional work. Even shooting at a 100 yard range at small pasty targets, building props for myself and forcing myself to shoot from awkward spots would have been a lot more beneficial than the ego boost that comes from sitting in the same spot for an hour dialed in on a few plates way out there.
What extra gear i'm going to buy for the next one- I really dont need much, most of what I had I didnt use. Maybe some mlok weights or make my own? The rifle is sitting at 13lbs which is a bit lighter than I would have liked for recoil control off of barricades. Possibly turning my 10/22 into more of a copy of my match rifle to practice the above with cheaper ammo.
The good

• It was all definitely a ton of fun and a lot more cerebral than I thought it would be. A lot of stages you could really sit and plan out how best to tackle rather than just going for it.
• As mentioned above, the people were incredibly welcoming and helpful.
• I placed higher than I thought I would and was pretty proud of some of the shots I did make.

The bad

• I ran out of the primary ammo I was going to run in the match and had to switch for the last few stages likely throwing off my zero.

The ugly

• It was incredibly hot (Thats Central Texas for you all). I brought gatorade but was not prepared for how tired I was going to be by the end.
• I got a ton of dirt in my mag and didn't have time to clean it out between stages. I brought a second, but it was a PITA to get the first back in ship shape.

My setup if curious:

I'm sure there will be a resounding yes on this subreddit. Thing is I don't lack friends and family. Like many of you I don't have a SO. I live alone in a nice apartment and it actually took me time to get used to it. I do alright but I wish I had someone to cuddle with and kiss. I have a cat but a pet can't replace human companionship. I'm actually convinced at this point that the universe has designated me as one of the unlucky few destined to never get married or have kids.
It seems like whatever I try I can't attract the opposite sex. I'll admit in my earlier years I was very shallow and that probably played a role. I'm at a point where I'll take what I can get. Although I am admittedly not 100% there. For example I had matched with someone that I wasn't attracted to but chatted with her anywau. I was waiting for her to ask me out and she never did. I would've gladly taken her up on her offer. It seems like no matter how many good pictures I take or outfit changes I make its not good enough. At this point my next avenue is weight loss.
Currently I am on Ozempic. I figured by the time Falls rolls around I could be 20lbs+ lighter. I do know that dating apps isn't real life. Thing is, I'm introverted and its been rare in my life to find someone who was mildly attracted or interested in me. Oddly enough I do better with foreigners but I even strike out as a passport bro. I don't think I have a shitty personality. I have female friends who've vouched for me. Even in college I tried to put myself out there and probably made more female acquaintances than male one but it led no where. I don't no how to make that push and I'm too scared anyway.
Thing is, I've seen people who look worst than me with decent looking partners. I know people with shitty personalities with partners. I think maybe you guys know what I'm talking about. I'm not saying that I'm a catch but I don't think I'm so horrific that I couldn't get someone. Before anyone says anything, I'm not an incel. Although there are times when I sympathize with the community. I'll fully admit that if I didn't know what an incel was I'd probably be one. I realize that there are things about myself that I need to work on. None of that red pill bs on my end. I try to keep even head to not fall into that trap. At the same time I've already put it in my head that I'll ultimately die alone.
I once even had a drug scare when I took a combination of LSD and an edible. Something snapped in me and I was overcome with intense loneliness. All I wanted was to talk to someone and hug someone. Fortunately I was able to get people on the phone and ended up in my great aunt's apartment with her. It eventually turned into a full on panic attack and I went to the emergency room until I settled down.
I imagine that someday all my friends and family will be busy with their own families. I'll probably be someone's great uncle who lives alone. If I'm lucky maybe I'll still have a connection with them. My great aunt who I mentioned is like this. Her babies are her pets. Fortunately family including myself are still in communication with her. She often babysits my 2nd cousins kids. They're practically her grandkids at this point. She was like that with my brother when he was little. She still goes to his place every other weekend or so and spends time with his family. I see that as my future if I am lucky. I also know someone who is a similar old maid but not as lucky because she's intolerable. I don't want these to be my future but it feels like the universe wants it to be so. There isn't someone for everyone out there, I'm one of the unlucky few.

As a teenager I lived with my grandparents(I'm 45). My then older grandmother would wonder about in the house my grandfather built a few years prior, doing laundry, cooking, cleaning. My grandfather would tell me stories about the war. As a young man I looked surprisingly similar to some of the black and whites hanging on the wall. One striking likeness was of a military picture in his early years...
My grandmother was a religious woman, and would wonder about during her duties talking to herself. She would mutter some religious jargon about man thinking he's so smart, I honestly forget most of it and dismissed it as the ranting of an old lady...
Fast forward 30 or so years and we have enormous and unsolvable problems. Problems I assumed people smarter, and older than me would have solved by now, at least I assumed that during my ignorance as a young person.
The older I get, the more I understand the ranting of an old lady. The more I see my grandfather's stories as a brutal example of what people are willing to do to each other. The more I understand the burden of the old, that understand what the young will endure...
I'm a parent now. I rant, sometimes, and i convince myself its for good cause. Perhaps it's guilt, but it feels more like hopelessness.

The oversharing rants have to end. I am sure they momentarily up engagement and you receive some nice feedback. The engagement is artificial. People are watching in disbelief. The nice commenters will fatigue.
In one moment you state you realize that people are having a hard time right now yet you continue with these “genuine” rants. No one has capacity for your non problems right now. And I say non problems because in the grand scheme of life and compared to what everyone else is going through this is nothing. Really sit with that. As the queen was rumored to have once said “no one wants to hear it”. When you are living a privileged life no one wants to hear your problems. No one. The empathy you are receiving is going to turn to apathy in moments.
In one breath you say you are only human And that comments do affect you. With in moments you are dismissive of others feeling.
You state you can’t be it all anymore and that historically women have been held to too high of a standard. Yet you have never acknowledged or maybe haven’t come to terms with this new level of expectation on women, you, yourself have contributed to.
No one asked you to go into Instagram and sell a filtered life of boats, bikinis, lavish parties, travel, amazing outfits, gardening, building dream homes, cooking amazing meals, girl bossing, gifts showing up are your door step etc. NO ONE. You did all this to sell a dream to cause a feeling that moved women to buy. Now you are exhausted….of what you created. You yourself can’t live up to your own standards that YOU set. And then have the nerve to blame the audience for wanting of you what YOU sold them to watch you? It’s backwards victim thinking.
Say you are sorry you contributed to this unbearable and unattainable lifestyle you sold to millions of women. You realize now that it put so much pressure on others and sold a life that can’t be lived.
Do you know how many people have felt less then and bad about themselves for not being able to have this life? Think how horrible it must feel to others that have been born into hard circumstances and work endlessly (yes, harder than you.) to have a life that will never look Instagram worthy.
Now you are asking these same women to feel bad for you because you are burnt out from your own creation. Then make them feel guilt for wanting the content you created your whole brand on. When your content is the burn out you are now feeling. Your content. Your creation.
At the end of the day you are an entertainer. It was framed before as lifestyle inspiration until now women have realized how damaging it is to watch someone frame and sell a dream that is unrealistic for the masses. It hurts women! Mentally and emotionally.
Stop breaking the 4th wall and telling everyone you are only on social media to make money. Imagine if Kim kardashian (for example) was complaining on social media that she can’t take sexy pictures for insta anymore but still wants to make all the money and she is only here to make money. 😭😭😭 You would think she is insane and tell her move on and open a brick and mortar. Make money other ways if this isn’t working for you. Playing the victim of your own life or the realities of being an “influencer” is not sustainable content. The irony and audacity to complain about social media being draining and soul sucking to individuals that HAVE NOT made millions on it, when you have made millions....off of them and all they have been left with is the confusion and hollow feeling of being sold impossible life standards, should be examined. It’s wild. You have a nanny, house keeper, multiple houses and a husband under 40 that golfs daily....people right now are unable to afford rent, their childcare and groceries. And they work every single day. Actual hard work. You are owned nothing in terms of profit. If there are issues affording your lifestyle the great news is there are many, many ways you can reduce your spending and your husband and you have time to work everyday to increase your income.
Your fan base owes you nothing. Nothing.
Get well, do some soul searching and leave everyone else out of it. They have real things in their daily lives to be concerned with.

Alright lets get into it.
But before we do, I need to explain exactly what it means for a company to be "shorted" and as a response, be "short squeezed"
Ill explain in monkey speak first:
Imagine a store has a supply of 100 bananas for sale at 1.00 per banana.
Now, a certain animal (lets call this animal a bear) thinks that the cost per banana will drop from 1.00 dollar to 0.50 cents. They go to the store and they borrow 50 bananas promising to return them. The bear, now in debt to the store, sells those bananas at 1.00 each and collects 50 dollars. Then, the market price for a banana drops to 0.50, they go and buy back the 50 bananas (now at 0.50 cents) paying 25 dollars, then return them back to the person they bought them from. This relieves the bears from their debts and they pocket 25 dollars in the process.
This is the process of shorting a company. They will "Borrow" or "Short" a companies shares when they think it will drop. They sell those shares. The market price drops. Then they buy them back at a low price. Then return them to who they borrowed from and make some serious money.
Typically, this is done to companies who are not looking like they will have very much growth (i.e., GameStop in an increasingly electronic world. Or FFIE in a world where Chinese electric cars are being restricted from sales in the USA for foreign policy reasons.)
Now, a short squeeze happens when another animal (lets say a bull (or maybe an ape would actually be better)) decides that they don't really want the price of bananas to drop because they really really really really like bananas. So the ape goes to the store and buys all the available bananas as well as buying them from the bears. Now, since there's no more available, and bananas are in demand, the price rises up to 1.50, instead of dropping.
Now, the bears are in a dilemma. They need to return the bananas to the person they bought them from. If they don't, the person they borrowed from is going to start charging them late fees for every day that they don't return the bananas.
As you can imagine, the bears would be SUPER angry about this, and fight the apes tooth and nail to try to get them to sell. They will tell everyone (via the media) that the apes are bad. They will publish false information about the cost of bananas. They will try to borrow bananas from other people to make it seem like bananas arent worth anything.
BUT, if the apes hold onto their sweet, juicy bananas, then the bears cant get find any to buy even if they wanted to. So the apes eventually will say "I will give you my bananas back for a premium cost of 10 dollars. Now, the apes who bought all the bananas for 100 dollars will sell them back to get 1000 dollars instead.
Essentially, the apes can make the price whatever they want, because the bears are paying a late fee for every day that they don't return the original bananas. At some point, the late fee will become so expensive that they will pay whatever it takes to get the bananas back.
This is known as a short squeeze. And the apes can potentially make lots of money on those bananas.
Applying this to the market, if FFIE is being shorted, and you all decide you want to squeeze them. Then hold, your shares, the shorter will pay whatever it takes to get those shares returned.
Now, there are a few things that are required to make a short squeeze happen:

1. There needs to be an entity (hedge funds) who shorted the stocks, betting the price would decline. Very simple to find out as it is public information.
   
2. There needs to be an entity (You mad lads) who wants to make money off their shorts (this is a bit harder as y'all get scared of the fight back by them and sell out).
   
3. Time investment to make the hedge funds sweat about losing money on the shares they borrowed.
   

PHEW! That was tough. You did good though, Now, you are all experts on the idea behind a short squeeze.
Lets see if FFIE has the requirements needed to begin a short squeeze:

1. The shorts. On April 30th, and in my Last Post , I showed an image that the company FFIE was absolutely being shorted. In fact, 98% of the total shares of the company were being shorted. So yes, FFIE met requirement number 1.

Now, there has been ALOT of debate regarding the current number of shorts. And I'll help resolve WHY this debate has been ongoing. I believe that much of this debate lies in the differences between the terms "short volume" and "Short interest"
Many have been screaming that the short interest of a company is only posted every 2 weeks. Which is absolutely true.
Others have been posting that the shorted volume of FFIE is at VERY high numbers. Which is also true.
For those that don't understand the market, the short interest and short volume are interchangable. That is why so many of you have been so confused.
Im here to tell you, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME.
There are very clear differences between the two numbers and their reliability, in terms of a squeeze is extremely different. Ill try to make it simple for you and put your questions and confusions to bed.
STRAP IN! THIS IS TOTALLY NOT GOING TO BE BORING!
Official definition online for short interest from the fintel website:
"collected by FINRA from brokers twice a month and distributed by the stock exchanges. So, twice a month all the brokedealers add up all the short positions held in all of their custodial accounts — that means yours, mine, and all the hedge funds — and send the totals to FINRA."

What the heck does this mean? Ape speak please?
The short Interest is the number of shares shorted by all of the different hedge funds. It is a comprehensive list of all the numbers of the total number of short shares.
However, it only represents a snapshot in time. Typically, it is a snapshot in time from the day that it is required to be reported. The most recent numbers came on today (5/24).
In general, this number can be manipulated. Think of it like taking a picture. Because that number is based on a snapshot in time, and hedge funds know when the picture will be taken, they can hide the number of shorted shares during the picture, and then once the camera takes its picture, they go back to normal. It is a way that the bears can lie about the fact that they borrowed shares.

the accumulated trades published to the consolidated tape. Every trade that is made is published in real time to the tape. At the end of the trading day, every trading venue publishes their volume numbers, which includes both Short Volume and Total Volume.

Okay again. Super easy to understand. Right? Right? Yeah not so much. I hate the technical terminology used but I guess I can explain.
The short VOLUME is is a more accurate measure of how a particular stock is being shorted. I think of it more like a video tape. It is a collection of all shorting trades made, and is posted every day. It is a lot of information to sort through, but the numbers speak VOLUMES to the efficiency of a possible squeeze (haha volume. Get it?)
In the end, if the VOLUME of shorted shares remains high, then the company is relying on the price of the stock to decline, or trying to hold out when a squeeze is happening in the hopes that the price of the shares drop again. This is the number we care about. This number is COMPREHENSIVE of all shorted stocks (including off-exchange/darkpool numbers and retail shorts)

Here is another explanation in terms a dumb ape would understand:
Okay so using the previous "APE vs BEAR banana in supermarket example"
Lets start where the Apes have purchased all the bananas and we think the bears have shorted banana sales.
So, lets imagine that the laws require that the Bears post publicly exactly how many bananas they borrowed from the lender. They are required to post this information every 2 weeks. They know they have to post soon. Therefore, to scare the apes into thinking they aren't actually squeezing, they take their picture of their borrowed bananas and post it. In the picture (since they had time to organize their efforts) it shows that they, in fact, didn't borrow any bananas. Now the apes would be panicked right? They have all these bananas for no reason. But a SMART ape would understand that they could use that photo to manipulate us. They obviously just quickly hid the fact that they borrowed bananas for the picture. The bears used the required "short interest picture" to scare you all into thinking your bananas were worthless, and encourage you to sell them.
Instead, its better to look at the security footage of the bears hiding their borrowed banana receipts. We'd be able to catch them red handed! Thus, we look at the "short volume" of bananas. The problem is, each bear individually posts their volume every day, and doesn't compile it in one clear video for us. Why would they? The more we know, the more we can charge for our bananas.
Plus, there are also dozens (if not hundreds) of bears all posting, accurate, but misleading, numbers. They make a united effort to throw as many confusing, and non-relevant videos into the mix to divert our attention.
This is EXACTLY what you have seen posted all week. Various people posting different volume numbers. And while each volume number they posted is accurate, they are only a partial truth.

Well, with the report of the "snapshot" that is released every 2 weeks, we also get another bit of information. The total number of exchanged shorts "off exchange."
Are you still following? This is where it gets even more confusing.
With the report, FINTEL also publishes a number known as the "off exchange short volume"

This number is the most accurate number to describe how many shares of a stock are currently being shorted. As we learned above, the "short interest" isn't reliable as the bears can hide their numbers during the picture.
However, at some point, some smart person (probably being super angry at how the bears could lie using short interest pictures) made a law that requires them disclose the number of currently exchanged "off market/dark pool" exchanges that were made.
An off market exchange is what happens when a bear decides to trade with another bear out of the public eye.
Why would they do this?
Back to our "ape speak" example
Okay so the bears know that they have their upcoming (2-week) picture that gets released. They want to make it seem like they don't have any owed bananas.
What do they do? How can they just lie for a picture?
The answer is in off market exchanges. You see, the bears found out that they can trade their shorts WITH EACHOTHER.
So for the picture, Mr. Black bear gives all his receipts to the polar bear. Then, when the Mr. Polar bear takes his photo, he gives them to Mr. Black bear (since he already took his photo).
These off market exchanges tend to SKYROCKET during a few times. One of which, is when hedge funds try to hide how much of an investment they have in their shorted shares.
So, over the next few days, we will see many people posting "OMG THEY ARENT EVEN SHORTING BECAUSE THE SHORT INTEREST IS DOWN FROM LAST POST"
Well, of course its lower. The last posted information, the hedge funds didn't know they would be squeezed. Therefore, they didn't feel the need to hide the short interest. Now, they need to hide it to scare you. So they create fear by lowering that number. But when that short interest number goes down, and off exchange goes up, it means they are still holding shorts, but just covering it up for their short interest reports.
Okay, so lets look at these numbers and see what it means for squeezers.
LONG STORY SHORT, THEY HAVE NOT NOT RETURNED THEIR SHORTS. They are simply trying to manipulate us into believing that they did.
In fact, they went from 36 million shorts UP to 64 million shorts (likely a bit less as this number includes transfers of shorts both ways).
But still, they have hope. Let's strip it away from them and make it KNOWN that they are manipulating. Time to HOLD and TIME TO BUY.
When you hold/buy shares, then the second requirement and third requirement for the squeeze are in our hands entirely.
Now, I know there's alot more to say, but I know people are waiting for my post so Im going to cut it short here. Ill make another post this weekend regarding the specific trading patterns we saw on the day-to-day that imply that the bears were trying to make us panic sell our shares.

At the moment my review count is 26570. Also I use mostly only 'again' and 'good' buttons. Why mostly, well, on my laptop i have add-on that hides 'hard' and 'easy', but on a mobile I still have them and it appears that sometimes I accidentally press them.
So, my question is, if I start using 'easy' button right now (only "easy", not "hard" one) will it affect the algorithm, because about two weeks ago I 'optimised' FSRS and it has been decreasing stability for cards every single day. For example, today I had a card that was introduced a month back and according to the card's stats the last interval was 14 days, but today it showed 3 day for 'good'. Why is that? And there are many cards like that now and it is starting to affect the overall quality of my studies.

Is that because something wrong with algorithm or is it due to the increased amount of cards I got wrong recently?
Also some of the recent cards were difficult and I had troubles with old ones as well and that causing my daily to increase (today it was 534 cards) and therefore I get tired before i finish my due cards, which makes me do more mistakes and press 'again' more often. So it would be nice to increase intervals for those cards that I'm sure of, so i could focus on difficult ones but I'm afraid that it could mess with the algorithm.
So, is it okay to use 'easy' button for some of the cards without throwing off the algorithm, considering the amount of reviews I have (26570)?
PS: I can't stop introducing new cards because I need to reach 6000 by the end of the summer (im at 2500 now).
