"The Rank Math SEO with AI Best SEO Tools plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘id’ parameter in versions up to, and including, 1.0.218 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level permissions and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page." -Wordfence

the code below is not working for these two inputs 1)In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I've been turning over in my mind ever since. 2)When he was nearly thirteen, my brother Jem got his arm badly broken at the elbow. When it healed, and Jem's fears of never being able to play football were assuaged, he was seldom self-conscious about his injury. His left arm was somewhat shorter than his right; when he stood or walked, the back of his hand was at right angles to his body, his thumb parallel to his thigh. #include  #include  #include  #include  #include  int count_letters(string text); int count_words(string text); int count_sentence(string text); int main(void) { string text = get_string("Write a Text: "); // ask user for text int num_letters = count_letters(text); // number of letters int num_words = count_words(text); // number of words int num_sentence = count_sentence(text); // number of sentences float L = ((float) num_letters / num_words) * 100.0; float S = ((float) num_sentence / num_words) * 100.0; float index = 0.0588 * L - 0.296 * S - 15.8; int grade = round(index); if (grade > 16) { printf("Grade 16+\n"); } else if (grade < 1) { printf("Before Grade 1\n"); } else printf("Grade %i\n", grade); } int count_letters(string text) { int count = 0; for (int i = 0; text[i] != '\0'; i++) { if (isalpha(text[i])) { count++; } } return count; } int count_words(string text) { int a = 0; bool is_word = false; for (int j = 0; text[j] != '\0'; j++) { if (isalpha(text[j])) { if (!is_word) { a++; is_word = true; } } else { is_word = false; } } return a; } int count_sentence(string text) { int b = 0; for (int k = 0; text[k] != '\0'; k++) { if (text[k] == '.' text[k] == '?' text[k] == '!') { b++; } } return b; }

2024.05.16 07:15 Odd-Astronomer7114 Catching up

Hello everyone, I really need help. I've been Home schooled since 2nd grade using Abeka Academy. I'm currently 17 and about half way done with 10th grade, about a year behind. My parents weren't involved (unless you count the once every 3 months my dad would check our progress and we would get in trouble) much, and basically left me, at 7 years old, with a laptop and expected me to get my school done. Obviously I didn't and my parents would let me go to the next grade even though I hadn't done any work. When I got to middle school I started doing (cheating through) online assignments. I dont really understand a lot of things past a 4th grade level. I should've tried harder when I got older and understood that I'd need this information but I got so overwhelmed. I have ADHD and it's really hard to learn stuff online, I get really distracted. Does anyone have any tips? I need something that's quick to the point. I'm mostly struggling with math (basically anything past adding fractions with the same denominator) but everything else isn't too great either. Please help

2024.05.15 23:15 pfa971 What salary should I look for? 50k in MI?

Metro Detroit. 32 m / overall 4 years experience in various teaching roles, but never really committed and stuck to one due to my own self esteem or the environment. I need to commit. I am committed now to returning to teaching 3rd, 4th or 5th or 6 or 7th grade math middle school after a year and a half in an office role while taking care of my father who had a stroke and is now doing better. I’m doing well subbing in these grades so far so that’s good. Is a good starting salary 50-55k with benefits accurate? Thank you in advance and please be kind and constructive. Thank you. :)

2024.05.15 19:06 TheWhiskeySour We've finally made the decision to home school, but now I'm completely torn on curriculum

Hi all. Sorry, this may get a bit long. But I'll put the TL;DR here at the top - how do I choose between a preset curriculum such as Oak Meadow, or should I piecemeal one together myself?
I've been following this page for about a year now, while trying to decide if we want to HS or not. After A LOT of debate and consideration and input from my 7 year old son, we've decided this is the best option. For context, we live in a rural area, and his current school is Title I. Due to this, and the overall education of the populace, I don't know if the school is lowering its standards, or if this is just par for the course for our district. His reasons for wanting to home school are as follows:
-He doesn't feel like he's challenged enough at school. He is well above grade level in both reading and math, understands scientific concepts that are well beyond his current 2nd grade level, etc.
-He REALLY dislikes being on the computer all the time. I've spent a few days in his classroom, and overall I'd average that at least 20-30% of the time learning is on the computer. This mostly includes busy work on Reading Eggs and Prodigy, so that his teacher can work with special groups to catch up to grade level. He would like to have a program at home where he's working on real physical books. I realize that may not be possible to just buy, but a program that has the option for printables rather than interactive "videogame-like" online learning is his preference.
-There is no option for any real STEM learning at this school. As much as they would like to, they don't have the money or resources to create a STEM lab. I even tried to start up an FLL robotics team, which there was ample interest in from the kids, but the district shot it down. I even had 100% funding for it!
The long and short of it is that he's a very bright kid, and I'm worried that if I do a pre-made curriculum that he'll be bored in some areas, and then we'd...buy another program to augment? It seems like a waste of money. However, I feel like our district standards are so low, that perhaps he'll actually be on target with a pre-made program.
My requirements for a curriculum:
-STEM focused
-Non-religious / Secular
-Good, clear instructions for the student and parent-teacher.
-A program that is mainly off the computer.
So, if you've read this far, the question is this: Do any of you have suggestions for pre-made curriculum that fit this? Oak Meadow is what I've tentatively decided on, but reading reviews has me second guessing myself. I also wouldn't be adverse to piecemealing, such as Woke History, Singapore Math, etc. I haven't done all of the research on those individual subject offers, but I would love suggestions for programs that you all like.
Thank you to all of you who have read this and help me figure this out! I've seen how supportive this community can be, and I appreciate all of you!

2024.05.15 17:47 grimoras How do you plan? How do you model?

Hello everyone!
I’m a first year-teacher. I’m completely burnt out. I just had my end of the year post-observation; and I did poorly. All of my observations so far were in the developing/effective stages.
My last observation was in math. I love math. But with these group of kids, it’s so hard to teach it. I’m usually burnt out at this point of the day and I’m just trying to survive. My lesson was marked as “ineffective”. I was inconsistent with my objectives and I did a big whoopsie and made an exit ticket that didn’t correlate with my objective. We were comparing fractions. I made an exit ticket where they were making equivalent fractions.
I was told that “math isn’t your strong teaching point”. I was compared to teachers who are probably good at one subject but not the other. I nodded at this critique but I was hurt inside. I was given a few good pointers.
For math, how do you guys do it? How do you plan for the lesson? I get told so many things and pointed to people who “could help” me but sadly don’t. There were times I need resources for a math lesson and my school resource teacher didn’t have them.
What are your go-to resources? I currently teach 4th grade and we’re using bridges. The teacher guide for these lessons suck ass. There’s rarely any modeling, and if it is, I’m awful at finding them.
Please give a newbie some pointers. I feel like a failure.

2024.05.15 17:04 over_seer79 Was I a fool for trading my passion for a kinda stable career?

Ayo fellas, 21M here. So basically, I've developed a liking to teaching since middle/high school. I've always got the highest grades and I loved helping my colleagues. I've always liked STEM subjects but honestly what I really like is to learn and explain anything lol.
Also, there was this teacher I had who was very inspirational about teaching. However when I finished school I didn't feel confident enough to get a teacher's degree. People always said how the paying is bad, the students were annoying and etc. Because of this, I wanted to start with a more "employable" and "versatile" carrer.
So I got into a Mechanical Engineering course and I'm in the 4th year now.
Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the course. Maybe because I like studying STEMS in general, but sometimes I feel like I'm missing something y'know? Funnily enough, I get into the same position I was in high school, getting high grades and helping my colleagues to learn.
Did I do something stupid? Was it stupid to have a "backup plan" before "following my passion" or something haha? I'm learning to just live my life and enjoy things besides my academic or professional fields but this question ponders my mind constantly.
And now that my course is coming to an end, I'm a little lost. Should I double down in engineering? Should I try an academic life in engineering subjects? Or should I do a math course or something and try to teach in highschool?

2024.05.15 16:19 Corypaws11 Maybe dysgraphia? [Not asking for diagnosis]

Recently I've been considering the possibility I might have dysgraphia. I'm not looking for someone to diagnose me, I know the internet can't do that, just looking for some input.
So I'm diagnosed with ADHD and general anxiety, and it's been suggested I could be autistic, but never diagnosed. I've never had issues with reading, but ever since I was in elementary school, I've struggled to write legibly. (Couldn't stay in the lines, mixed up letters, etc) I can recall at least one occasion where I had to redo a math assignment because I wrote the number 6 backwards and it was counted as a 2. My teacher in 4th grade was especially harsh about it. (She would make me take extra time with her so I could learn to make letters the 'right' way, and once flat out told me I was bad at writing)
Another thing is that I've always struggled to write lots of sentences, and I've always been slower than my classmates. I'm the kid who always asks the teacher to go back because I'm not finished with the notes. My hand also tends to hurt a lot, to the point that when I was younger I'd take frequent breaks to run my fingers under cold water.
It's gotten.. somewhat better as I've aged, but I still have to put a lot of focus in. What brought on my recent round of questioning was when I found out an exam at school would have a timed written response question on paper, and I practically had a panic attack thinking about doing it, which led me to reexamine some things.
(Not sure if it's related, but I also never learned to ride a bike, can hardly tie my shoes, and run into stuff. A lot.)
Just wanted to share my experience, and didn't know where else to do it. :)

2024.05.15 13:39 Educational_Wave4824 Can I be an optometrist even if I am blind in one eye?

Hey! For context I just finished my junior year of undergrad and am taking the OAT in July. I’ve dedicated a lot of time to my dream goal of being an optometrist. However, I had strabismus and refractive amblyopia from like 4th to 10th grade. I ended up getting the corrective surgery at 16 to fix the lazy eye part of it all but was unable to afford any kind of LASIK. I still am unable to see out of my left eye (even with corrections). However my right eye has great vision (20/20 when corrected).
Overall, my prescription type is single vision. OD: (SPH)-1.25, (CYL)-1.00, Axis 9. OS: (SPH)-1.25, (CYL)-2.75, Axis 169. NV-ADD none. PD 67.
Will this affect my ability to pass clinical and what not? I was watching the day in my life video of optometry student and that thought came to mind. (My dream schools is UHCO).
Just to reiterate like I can not see anything but blurred figured out if left eye.
I figured the best people to ask would be optometrist. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Edit: I’ve seen the comment floating around in my post regarding refractive amblyopia and am unsure. I had my eye surgery in 2018 and that is what the ophthalmologist told me? If it is because of my prescription, my primary optometrist doesn’t prescribe me the highest beneficial prescription for my left eye as he says it is unnecessary because my right eye will dominate anyways. He made it seem as if there wouldn’t be more payoff than harm (I believe he was talking about eye strain/headaches due to heavily contrasting prescriptions in each eye?). That prescription is for my glasses but I am not even prescribed a contact for my left eye. Last eye visit my sight was 20/500 left and 20/40 in right and was able to be corrected to 20/250 and 20/20, (If I am not mistaken).
I’d love to hear anyone’s input!

2024.05.15 10:39 crazyllama734 A LEVEL MATHS HELP REQUIRED PLEASE 🙏🏻

Hi so I’m in year 13 and my A level maths paper 1 is on 4th June. I’ve always been a B grade student with sometimes getting A’s in A level maths throughout the past 2 years.
However as I’m doing past papers I am severely struggling. I never know what to do when I first see a question. I don’t know what exactly the question is asking me often times but once I take a Quick Look at the mark scheme then I know exactly what I was meant to do.
My concepts are not lacking it’s just that I don’t know how to interpret questions. For example when do you know you should set denominator equal to 0, or integrate by substitution or which route to take in vector questions. (These are just examples of things I struggle with, there are quite a few more too)
Once I know we have to (for example integrate by substitution) then I get the question perfectly right. But I just need someone to tell me what to do.
I am very stressed and panicked someone please help. How to know
(For the record I’m already doing past papers)
