2024.06.02 09:29 throwaway_nts Help Identifying Odd Behaviors and Dreams as a Kid

Hello, to preface this post, I am not very familiar with Reddit and am using a throwaway account as to keep this anonymous. I will likely try posting this in other subreddits to try and hear thoughts from a wider range of users. I apologize in advance if this post doesn't match exactly to how people normally use this forum.
Recently, I have been thinking a lot about some experiences I had during my life from my childhood until now (I am 20). I never really questioned most of this stuff and just assumed that the things I would experience were common and ones that everyone else around me could relate to. It wasn't until more recently when most friends I spoke to about any of this stuff thought this was somewhat abnormal or they couldn't exactly understand what I was trying to describe. So, under this paragraph, I am going to outline some mental phenomena I used to (or still do) experience. If anyone can relate to or have some better understanding for what these things are, I would really appreciate a response.
I regularly experienced vivid night terrors as a young child, some that I still remember well to this day. I would sometimes wake up screaming in my sleep or roll off my bed. I would often sleep walk throughout my home in the night, and would also have nights where I would experience a half-asleep half-awake state of consciousness in which I would pace around in circles in my bedroom or living room while imagining that my dreams were connected to real life. As an example: The night after watching the movie Gravity in theaters (I was 9 years old), I sleep walked into the living room. I then woke into this trance-like state where I paced around in circles with anxiety for what felt like hours and hours as I was convinced that I was being sent to space and that I would die. Just to note- I also experienced sleep paralysis a couple times in which I would awake with a completely numb body, unable to move, with a shadowy figure standing in my doorway. These night terrors eventually went away, and they stopped around middle school. Around that time, I began experiencing very common and easy to achieve lucid dreams, both on purpose and accident.
Very often, after looking at an object for long enough, I would begin to feel that the object was either much smaller than it really was, or that it was a large object further away than it really was. By this, I don't mean that objects were literally larger or smaller in my vision. Rather that they were distorting in size while also distorting in distance from my eyes in order to maintain the same amount of space in my field of view. This would often happen in school while staring at boards, papers, or teachers. It was often very disorientating and dizzying. I could only usually make my perception return to normal after closing my eyes for long enough. Otherwise, my vision would distort more, and everything would feel strangely far away. This is something that I experienced more as a kid, but still occasionally feel even today.
In a similar vein to these visual distortions, I also occasionally experienced mild time distortions. (This is difficult to describe, so bear with me.) Also as a kid, hearing and focusing in on a particular tempo visually and auditorily (like tapping my finger at a constant interval) would cause time to feel as if it was moving significantly faster. It feels like the tapping is happening really slowly while the world around me moved faster, making me feel really anxious. This didn't happen very often, and would usually correlate to the night terrors I would have (feeling much longer than they actually were). This is something I do not experience anymore and haven't since middle school.
I also experienced a couple rare episodes of dissociation growing up. They felt pretty severe to me, feeling like I wasn't in control of my body or mind, like I was watching from far away, and everything felt cloudy and fuzzy. One in particular was very intense, and just lasted for one day- ending with me becoming severely ill and throwing up all over the place.
Nowadays I don't experience much of these things. The only real mental struggles I feel now are high social anxiety, often avoiding places and people so that I don't have to interact. College friends regularly mention to me that they walk past me and that I see them but never say hi, and I almost never realize that I had stared straight at people I know. I often feel like I walk around everyday without recognizing or even seeing people's faces, even ones close to me.
There are a couple other habits I had as a kid that might warrant looking into, but they are things I didn't want to really get into here. If anyone has any insight or shares these experiences, please comment, I'd love to hear! Looking back at all this stuff is strange and a little worrying at times, so any thoughts are appreciated! Thank you for reading this. :)

2024.06.02 09:20 relesabe More real geniuses who are not Terrence Howard and the dangers of stupidity

One of the most interesting stories in the history of technology is the transatlantic telegraph cable. Well worth reading about its many failures and its eventual success.
Here is a story of the danger of stupidity:
One of the great geniuses of the 19th century is Lord Kelvin (from whom we get the Kelvin temperature scale among other things).
Kelvin was one of the experts who was consulted about the cable. He was the first person I believe to mathematically analyze how signals were sent through wires -- Heaviside built on this, btw.
He understood the things that for example caused signals to sort of interfere with themselves. And with the telegraph, with no modern electronics, just a cable through which you can either send a current or not, any sort of interference that prevents distinguishing a dot from a slightly longer dash (that's all Morse code had to work with) obviously causes errors and the need to retransmit (and that only happens when the receiver requests a retransmit). Bottom line, the first messages were achingly slow, like 16 hours for the 99-word message sent from Queen Victoria to the US President Buchanan. Of course, prior to this time, information could travel no faster than a steamship, so even 5 words per hour (maybe one character per minute) was amazing.
However, the transmission speed started to go down. There were all sorts of possibilities for this, considering that the cable ran for 2000 miles along the ocean floor. Maybe the seawater combined with electricity caused gradual damage to the cable.
Another consultant was a former doctor who had become interested in electricity. His big idea was to simply put in greater voltage (Kelvin had developed a very sensitive device called the Mirror Galvanometer and he argued against bumping up the voltage.) The doctor was listened to despite Kelvin's arguments and he got them to put 2000 volts through -- this rendered the cable permanently useless and another had to be laid using two separate ships which met somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic to make splice.
Kelvin of course had experimented to derive his theories about signal transmission and prior to putting all this juice through, why did not the company experiment, even on land, and determine whether "bigger was better"?
I don't know, maybe the ex-doctor talked loud or had influential friends -- but that did not make him right.
We need to listen to people who know what they are talking about, not some dope who comes up with a theory that made ND Tyson tell Terrence Howard not to contact him further with his "theories."
Science is built on a rigorous process and is validated by experiment -- a theory is important if it can make predictions.
Just what prediction have a single one of the "theories" or whatever Howard calls them made? Not a single one. He has no educational qualifications, no scientist takes him seriously. I hope the transatlantic cable story illustrates the dangers of listening to silly (and lazy) people.
Another genius was James Clerk Maxwell whose equations formed the basis for relativity as I understand it. I chuckle thinking of his response to Terrence Howard. And note that even nearly two hundred years ago, real scientists already were far ahead of where Howard is -- or maybe I am wrong and Howard really mastered contemporary mathematics before spouting his revolutionary ideas that were supposed to overturn all modern science and math.

🔗Safe and Stylish Airsoft Full Face Mask

I recently got the NINAT Airsoft Mask and it's been a game-changer for my Airsoft and survival games. One of the biggest pros of this mask is that it's made of high-quality, safe materials like polycarbonate and TPU plastic, which makes it incredibly durable and breathable. I appreciate how the elastic head strap can be easily adjusted to fit my head perfectly, and the foam around the eyes and ears adds a comforting touch.
I also love the security and stability this mask provides - the visor shading is excellent, and the gray single lens works just fine. Plus, the louvered vents help draw warm air out of the mask interior. I've heard some people complain that it's not the most aesthetically pleasing mask out there, but for me, it's all about performance, and this mask truly delivers. It looks cool on the field, protects my face during intense games, and it's ideal for a variety of activities like Airsoft/competition, survival games, outdoor parties, or cosplay.
However, there's one thing to note - I wasn't able to use this mask for shooting high-speed bb's at close range (310FPS within 5 meters) since it doesn't have the ANSI Z87.1 impact rating. So, if you're planning on engaging in activities with bbs shooting, make sure to protect your eyes with another, more suitable mask. All in all, the NINAT Airsoft Mask is a great product that's ideal for many different scenarios - just be sure to use it responsibly!

🔗Airsoft Tactical Paintball Helmet with Dual-Mode Mask

Trying out the Airsoft Tactical Helmet was like stepping into a game of camouflage. With its full face tactical mask and goggles, it felt like a superhero cape wrapped around my head. The soft TPU vent mask design made everything a breeze, as it protected my face while also comfortably fitting.
My favorite feature? The mini fan system! It effortlessly helped to reduce fog and maintain crystal-clear vision while I was darting around playing Airsoft. Even better, the unique dual-mode mask wearing design made it versatile, allowing me to switch between the elastic headband and connecting it to my tactical helmet for full-on protection.
Now, let's talk about the challenges. While the helmet covers a lot of ground, it can be on the heavier side. And sometimes, depending on the game's intensity, you might feel a bit limited in hearing people around you – so, keep an ear out!
Overall, the Airsoft Tactical Helmet proved to be an excellent companion for those living life on an action-packed battlefield. It's a true game-changer, hiding in plain sight, waiting to gear up for the next mission.

🔗Upgraded 8.4V NiMH 1600mAh Airsoft Battery for CQB SMG Guns

In my quest to find the perfect battery for my HK Licensed Airsoft Ump45 Gearbox CQB SMG, I stumbled upon the Mighty Max Battery. This convenient little stick pack was an instant game-changer for my airsoft gun, providing power and longevity beyond my expectations. The ease of use and no need to fully discharge before charging simply added more minutes of action to my playtime.
One notable feature of the Mighty Max Battery is its versatility, easily fitting into most 8.4 volt 1600 mAh NiMH Flat battery packs. The high-performing Specialty cell type ensures that I can enjoy consistent power without burning out. However, the 12-volt size does require a bit of consideration, as not all devices may be compatible. Nevertheless, the benefits of this battery far outweigh any minor inconveniences.
While there were no pre-existing reviews on this product, the Mighty Max Battery remains a hidden gem among airsoft enthusiasts, offering a powerful and reliable solution at an affordable price, providing long-lasting intensity for all your Airsoft Gearbox CQB SMG needs.

🔗High-Performance AGM Airsoft Battery for Enhanced Gameplay

I recently had the chance to try out the Mighty Max 9.6V 1600mAh NiMH Battery for my airsoft gun, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! The compatibility with various guns on the market was impressive, and it even fits my budget without breaking the bank. I loved how easy it was to operate with no fuss, and no need to fully discharge before charging.
One thing that stood out to me is the advanced NiMH battery technology, which eliminates battery memory effects. I noticed that the battery could be charged anytime, without any hassle. The special design for airsoft guns enabled me to gain power intensity and a longer running time, which was a massive plus.
However, there were a couple of downsides. Despite its easy operation, I found that charging the battery at random times wasn't always the best idea. Another minor issue was the lack of instructions on how to care for the battery properly.
Overall, I highly recommend this battery for airsoft enthusiasts looking for a reliable and long-lasting option. Its superior technology and ease of use make it a top choice compared to NiCd battery packs.

🔗High-Performance Gens Ace 1200mAh 2S1P 7.4V 25C Airsoft Battery with Tamiya Plug

https://preview.redd.it/u3ead149z34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37ada7fba621d58f7ff0e70e9009c08ca2272709
When I first received the Gens Ace 1200mAh 2S1P 7.4V 25C Airsoft Battery with Tamiya Plug, I was excited to see the high quality and attention to detail in the product. This battery boasts excellent performance and durability, making it the perfect addition to any airsoft enthusiast's arsenal.
One of my favorite features of this battery is its efficient and long-lasting performance, thanks to its low internal resistance and high cycle life. The Gens Ace battery pack is designed for various scales of RC models, ensuring it can handle even the most intense airsoft situations.
However, there were a few drawbacks I encountered. Although the battery pack is advertised as suitable for FedEx Ground ONLY with no P. O. Boxes, I found that notifying customers of this limitation upfront would have been helpful to avoid any confusion. Additionally, the Gens Ace C ratings being 20-90% lower than other brands may lead some users to doubt its effectiveness.
In the end, I would recommend the Gens Ace 1200mAh 2S1P 7.4V 25C Airsoft Battery with Tamiya Plug to anyone looking for a high-quality, reliable airsoft battery with a distinct edge in performance and value.

Buyer's Guide

AGM Airsoft is a brand that offers a variety of airsoft products, including guns, pistols, and accessories. Before diving into the purchasing process, consider the following aspects to ensure you make the best-informed decision for your needs.

Pistols

https://preview.redd.it/jak1mg0az34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c311c985c093985542facdf1816d3d56784682ae
A crucial factor when deciding on a pistol is its power source. AGM Airsoft offers both electric and gas-powered airsoft pistols. Gas-powered pistols deliver a more realistic recoil, but they require more maintenance. Electric airsoft pistols are generally easier to use and maintain.

Accessories

AGM Airsoft offers a plethora of accessories that can enhance your overall airsoft experience. Some of these accessories include high-capacity magazines, red dot sights for improved accuracy, and comfortable carrying cases for easier storage and transportation.

Guns

When purchasing a gun from AGM Airsoft, you have a few categories to choose from, including shotguns, submachine guns (SMGs), rifles, and light machine guns (LMGs). Each category has its own advantages and disadvantages, so pick the one that best fits your needs. For example, shotguns and SMGs excel in close range combat and are easy to maneuver, while rifles and LMGs have a longer range and a higher rate of fire but may require more skill to use effectively.

Considerations

  • Budget: AGM Airsoft offers products at various price points, so ensure your chosen items fit within your budget constraints.
  • Performance expectations: Assess the expected performance of your desired product. For example, if you're interested in a high-capacitive magazine, make sure the chosen gun can accommodate it properly.
  • Frequency of use: If you're planning to use your airsoft gear frequently, invest in higher-end, durable products that can withstand wear and tear.
  • Maintenance requirements: Different airsoft products require varying levels of maintenance. Gas-powered pistols, for instance, may need more attention than their electric counterparts.
When purchasing AGM Airsoft products, take into account the power source, accessories available, and the specific gun category that suits your preferences. Consider factors such as budget, performance expectations, frequency of use, and maintenance requirements to make an informed decision. With the right products, you'll be able to enjoy a top-notch airsoft experience.

2024.06.02 09:11 anax44 Interesting Coffee Varieties from the Caribbean

The variety of Arabica first transported out of the highlands of Ethiopia into the rest of the tropical world is known as Typica Coffee. A variety of Typica sent to Reunion mutated into a new type of Arabica called Bourbon Coffee. In more recent times, there have been more mutations of Typica and Arabica as well as multiple hybrids between the two resulting in many different varieties of Arabica Coffee.
There are two accounts of coffee coming to the Caribbean. The first, is of the Dutch transporting it to Suriname in 1713. A more popular tale is the story of a French Naval Officer who smuggled a coffee seedling out of Amsterdam, transported it across the Atlantic, and planted it in Martinique. From these introductions, coffee quickly spread across the Caribbean and Latin America leading to a variety of regional styles.
A regional style is generally the result of the varieties planted, terroir of the region, and traditions associated with processing the coffee beans. All across the Caribbean, there are several interesting and unique varieties of coffee.
Costa Rica:
Tarrazú Coffee & Villa Sarachi
Following their independence from Spain in 1821, the government of Costa Rica immediately took steps to develop the coffee industry. This included giving away seedlings, allowing farmers to take ownership of arable land, exempting coffee from certain taxes, and introducing the wash process. All of these developments happened in less than ten years after Independence. The strong government support for the coffee industry has resulted in consistently high quality coffee beans, and a healthy economy heavily influenced by this crop. The status of Costa Rica as the safest country in Central America also helps with coffee tourism and international investment.
In recent years, farmers have purchased their own processing equipment, making it possible to easily find small batches of coffee from single farms. Honey processing is also particularly popular in Costa Rica, and it’s done both to differentiate the coffee, and to save water. The highest grown coffee in the country is from a region called Tarrazú, and the volcanic soil and unique microclimate of this area is often cited as contributors to the superior quality of Tarrazú Coffee. In the past, many producers would write Tarrazú Coffee on labels to benefit from the name association, but recently the government of Costa Rica has developed a geographical indication for Tarrazú Coffee. The types of coffee commonly grown are Cattura, which is a mutation of Bourbon, and Catuai, which is a hybrid between Cattura and another Bourbon mutation.
A varietal associated with Costa Rica but also grown elsewhere is Villa Sarachi, a dwarf mutation of Bourbon that is tolerant of strong winds that is named for the Costa Rican town where it was discovered in 1950.
Dominican Republic:
Valdesia Coffee & Sierra Cafetalera Coffee
Dominicans drink more coffee than anyone else in the insular Caribbean. Due to this, coffee production in the country remains stable, but exports continue to decline with each passing decade. Generally speaking, the varietals planted are Typica and Caturra that are both grown organically on hillsides. This leads to Dominican coffee being good, but nothing exceptional.
Of some note is the coffee grown on the Cordillera Central, also known as the Dominican Alps. It’s the highest grown coffee in the country, and it benefits from the unique rocky soil of the mountains. Some coffee from regions in the southern part of the country have also attracted attention. This includes Valdesia Coffee, which is protected by a Geographical Indication and sold at a premium compared to generic Dominican coffee. Additionally, coffee grown by a collection of small farmers in the Sierra de Neiba range and processed traditionally has been included in the Ark of Taste as Sierra Cafetalera Coffee.
Honduras:
Café de Marcala & Camapara Mountain Coffee
Honduras is the third largest coffee producer in the Americas. They produce more than Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Panama combined, but still far less than Colombia or Brazil. Bourbon and Caturra are commonly grown varietals, although in the Montecillos region a type known as Pacas is cultivated. This is a mutation of Bourbon discovered in neighboring El Salvador about seventy years ago. This region is also where coffee is grown at the highest altitude, and it is protected by the Geographical Indications Honduras Western Coffee, and Café de Marcala. Coffee grown near the border with Guatemala and El Salvador has attracted some international attention, and is recognized by Slow Food as Camapara Mountain Coffee.
Panama:
Panama Geisha/Gesha
Panama is a relatively small coffee producer where many of the same varietals planted elsewhere in Central America are also planted. What the country stands out for however, is their Geisha Coffee that has managed to constantly fetch high prices and consistently win awards for the last two decades.
Geisha or Gesha Coffee was first discovered growing in the wild on the slopes of the Gori Gesha Mountains in Central Ethiopia in the 1930s. Since then, it has been introduced to coffee growing regions all across the world. While Geisha Coffee from Colombia and Costa Rica are both highly regarded, it is Panama Geisha that has become the most famous. Many coffee enthusiasts find Blue Mountain, Kona, and Kopi Luwak to be overhyped, but the floral and fruity notes of Panama Geisha makes it worth the high prices. There is no protection of the name, or geographical indication for Panama Geisha Coffee, so lower quality examples are starting to emerge.
Jamaica:
Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee & High Mountain Coffee
In 1950 the Jamaican Coffee Board was founded, and their activity is almost entirely focused on promoting mountain grown coffee from Jamaica’s four most eastern parishes. This coffee is cultivated on the slopes of the Blue Mountains, which are the highest peaks on the island and part of a World Heritage Site. The majority of this coffee is a varietal of Typica known as Blue Mountain Coffee, but small amounts of Geisha are also grown. The coffee is graded according to the height of the slopes on which it is grown, so there is Jamaica Low Mountain Coffee grown at less than 460 meters, and Jamaica High Mountain Coffee grown over that height, but below 910 meters. Only coffee grown over 910 meters however, can legally be sold as Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Coffee enthusiasts find Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee to be very good, but no longer worth the high prices due to the growing availability of small batch specialty coffee from other regions.
Nicaragua:
Starmaya Coffee
Despite decades of political instability, the coffee industry in Nicaragua has managed to thrive. There are three coffee growing regions where farmers mostly plant Caturra and Bourbon, and all three are known for producing quality coffee. In the continuous quest for developing high quality coffee varieties with disease resistance, the French Agricultural Research Centre for International Development developed a variety in Nicaragua known as Starmaya that was made by crossing several Arabica varieties with a wild coffea species from Ethiopia. Starmaya shows a lot of promise in helping the coffee industry deal with growing threats like disease and climate change.
Guyana:
Pomeroon Coffee
Guyana lacks the climate conditions necessary for quality coffee to thrive, but it is home to something entirely unique; Pomeroon Coffee. Named for the region where it is grown, this is not a varietal of Arabica or Robusta. Rather, this is a species known as Coffea Liberica that makes up less than one percent of commercially grown coffee. Most of this Liberica Coffee is grown and consumed locally in the Philippines where it is called Kapeng Barako. The Liberica Coffee in Guyana came to the region with the early introduction of Coffee to South America via the Dutch. As Arabica crops failed in the Guianas because of disease and the warm climate, the Liberica managed to survive. Liberica coffee beans are larger than Robusta or Arabica, and shaped slightly differently. As climate change threatens the coffee industry, the potential of this coffee species is being further explored.
Guadeloupe:
Guadeloupe Bonifieur
Guadeloupe was one of the first Caribbean islands where coffee was planted, and it has grown continuously there for almost three hundred years. Production today is very small, but of particular note is Guadeloupe Bonifieur which shares the same lineage as Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Additionally, Guadeloupe was the second Caribbean island where coffee was introduced after Martinique, and due to the eruption of Mount Pelée where the majority of coffee on Martinique was cultivated, Guadeloupe is now home to some of the earliest established coffee estates in the New World.

First deposit bonus

We started our journey at SkyCrown by claiming the 100% match bonus, reaching $150. This platform also added 100 free spins to the match deposit bonus. They specify that the free spins can only be played on John Hunter and the Mayan Gods by Pragmatic Play.
Remember, you must deposit at least $30 using the SKY1 bonus code to claim this first deposit bonus package. Also, this bonus is unavailable for cryptocurrency, Neteller, and Skrill deposits.

Bonus percentage per game

Although you must meet the 40x wagering requirement on all games, the game contribution varies when fulfilling this requirement. According to SkyCrown, slots contribute 100% towards the bonus wagering except for a few listed games. For example, if you wager $5 on qualifying slots, the entire amount will be subtracted from the wagering requirement.

Claim even more bonuses

As a loyal player, SkyCrown keeps you occupied with a variety of bonus packages to choose from. However, most bonuses are available after depositing a specific amount using a promo code. We’ll explore all of them in this SkyCrown Casino review.

Second and third deposit bonuses

After bagging your first deposit bonus, the site invites you to deposit at least $30 using a SKY2 bonus code to claim the 50% match bonus up to $300. In other words, you’ll receive an amount half your real money deposit but not exceeding $300. This package also comes with 50 free spins on Thunderkick’s Pink Elephant.
The royal treatment continues with a third deposit bonus of 75% up to $300. To claim this reward, you must deposit at least $30 using a SKY3 bonus code. Like the first and second deposit bonuses, this promo also features 75 free spins on Pragmatic Play’s Gates of Olympus. If this game isn’t available, you can play BGaming’s Gold Rush with Johnny Cash.

Live casino welcome bonus

Are you a fan of live dealer games? Play your favorite titles and claim a 1% welcome rakeback on wagers not exceeding $1,500. The maximum weekly rakeback is $1,500 after depositing at least $75. Keep in mind that the rakeback is paid in actual money, meaning you don’t have to meet any wagering requirements.

High roller bonus

SkyCrown has a 50% up to $2,000 high roller welcome bonus for those who like playing big. This bonus is only available on your first deposit of at least $1,000 using the HIGH5 promo code. But there’s a catch. You must meet a 40x playthrough requirement within five days of receiving the bonus.

Friday cashboost rally

Explore SkyCrown Casino's Diverse Games Library

Very few Canadian gaming sites can compare to SkyCrown’s game-rich library. At the time of writing this SkyCrown review, we counted over 7,000 games from leading game developers such as Netgame, Gamebeat, BGaming, Mascot, and more.

Below are the game categories:

Slots

As expected, slot machines are the main offerings at this casino. You’ll find so many real money slots from BGaming, Reflex Gaming, Gamingcorps, and other software developers. The slots are available in varying categories, including Bonus Buy, Megaways, Books, Mythology, Expanding Wilds, and more. This should help you find your preferred slot machines easily.

Jackpots

SkyCrown has hundreds of jackpot slots to play if you’re after those extra-large jackpot wins. Some trending jackpot titles include Fortune Circus by Fugaso, Fortune Dreams by Lucky, Gold of Maya by Gamzix, and more. Games with progressive jackpot networks have a “JP” banner.

Table games

If you feel like taking a little break from slots, we advise you to check out their wide selection of table games. You’ll find numerous titles and variations for Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, and Poker. They also offer several Andar Bahar, Pai Gow, and Craps titles.

Instant games

Instant or arcade games have become fan favorites due to their fast-paced and rewarding gameplay. You’ll find several crash games, including Spribe’s Aviator, Aero by Turbogames, JetLucky 2 by Gamingcorps, and more. You’ll also find Plinko, Mines, and Dice titles.

Live casino

Live dealer games provide a unique table game experience in a real casino setting. SkyCrown ensures this by offering 300+ live dealer games from ALG, Bombay Live, Better Live, and TVBET. Sadly, we didn’t find any live titles from Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play Live.

Must Play Games at SkyCrown Casino

We understand that finding the best titles to play can be time-consuming and confusing. So we have done all the hard work to help you settle in quickly with these five titles:

SkyCrown Bonanza – BGaming

This is one of those custom-made slots you can only play at SkyCrown Casino. It’s a highly volatile slot designed by BGaming to offer a classic fruit-themed experience with an explosive 15,000x win potential. It delivers a simple design with relaxing music and bright icons to make it stand out from other fruit machines on this gaming site.

Sun of Egypt 3 – 3oaks

Launched in 2023, Sun of Egypt 3 is the third installment of this popular slot series. It’s a highly volatile slot that maintains the tradition of bringing the rewarding Hold and Win Jackpot and a decent 10,000x win potential. To boost your chances of collecting the jackpot, this game will reward you eight free spins after landing enough scatters with a retrigger option. You’ll also find a wild symbol that pays 12x the stake.

Vikings Go Berzerk – Yggdrasil

Despite launching in November 2016, this slot machine from Yggdrasil has maintained its position as one of the best Viking-themed slots. In this game, you’ll accompany brave and daring Vikings in their mission to fill up the rage meter and collect rewards. This game packs fun bonus features, including the Treasure Chest, Free Spins, and a 4,000x jackpot.

Story of the Samurai – Spinomenal

Story of the Samurai is a 2021 slot that takes you to challenge the Samurai warriors and claim big wins. It’s an exciting 5×3 slot packed with bonus features like Bonus Wheel, Mystery Symbols, Free Spins, Expanding Wilds, and Sticky Wild Respins. This game also has a friendly RTP potential of 96.71%.

Aviator – Spribe

If you haven’t played this instant game by Spribe, then you’re missing out. Launched in 2019, this game has become trendy among players due to its reliability and simplicity. The propeller airplane will take off, creating a multiplier curve representing your possible winnings. The sound effects of this game are also classy and relaxing. Enough said already!

Payment Methods Available at SkyCrown Casino

Banking is just as important as any other service an online casino offers. SkyCrown knows this, hence providing a list of 30+ secure banking methods. You can transact using online wallets, credit/debit cards, and cryptocurrencies. The minimum deposit for all payment mediums is $30, whereas the maximum depends on the selected method.
Here is a table to summarize the payment services:
https://preview.redd.it/yn5pv0fcw34d1.png?width=1182&format=png&auto=webp&s=d971b3f030596ebf32891b064dbabf856bd2b9df

Note that you will be subject to a KYC (Know Your Client) process before approving any withdrawal request. This is a standard procedure in all regulated casinos to verify your identity, location, and source of income. You must submit a copy of your identification paper, such as your ID/passport/driver's license, and proof of local address, like a bank statement/utility bill. The verification can take up to 24 hours.

Navigating the Casino: User Experience Unveiled

Everything about this casino oozes simplicity, class, and efficiency. The website is well-designed, using a minimalist and user-friendly approach. They also use an eye-friendly black background and sharp graphics, making it an excellent platform if you value those long gaming sessions.

We encountered no delays when loading up the website’s pages and games. Everything was instant and smooth, with most titles having a demo version. Finding our favourite game titles was also a breeze thanks to the intuitive search tool, although we would have preferred more game filtering options. In short, the developer did a solid job of providing a fulfilling touch when exploring the platform.

Mobile Compatibility

SkyCrown Casino works smoothly and seamlessly on mobile platforms. We tested the site on our Android and iOS smartphones and didn’t experience any disappointing lag or freeze.
As for the gaming difference, the experience is identical on iPhone and Android. You’ll find a menu icon at the top-left side of the screen, allowing you to access services like banking, account verification, loyalty program, and more. Below the menu, you’ll find game categories like Slots, Live Casino, New, Hot, and Jackpots. All in all, the mobile version is user-friendly and intuitive.

Safety and Security Measures in Place

SkyCrown Casino is a well-protected website with clear privacy policies. They are very transparent and make you aware of all the information they will collect from you. For example, this operator doesn’t rent or sell player data to third parties and is bound by strict legal provisions to protect your private data.
We can confirm that SkyCrown uses 128-bit SSL encryption technology from Let’s Encrypt. This is the standard data protection measure most Canadian casino sites use to secure your information from hackers and scammers. Another thing, you can set up 2-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized access to your account.
We also did our checks to see if we could find any red flags on platforms like Trustpilot and Reddit. Most bad reviews were about players who couldn’t withdraw funds after failing the KYC test. Provide the requested documents, and you won’t have any payment complaints.

Customer Support

Unfortunately, customer support is an area where SkyCrown Casino needs to improve. As a registered member, we found no live chat support, which is disappointing. Instead, they let you speak to an agent via email at [support@skycrown.com](mailto:support@skycrown.com). You can also complete the online contact form on the “Support” page.
But before contacting the support team, it’s worth checking if your concerns have been addressed on the FAQ page. Here, they list and answer some of the most common questions regarding account registration, payments, safety, bonuses, and more. If you’re new to crypto gambling, there is also a helpful page to read.
You can contact their support team in the following languages:
  • English
  • French
  • German

What's the Verdict?

SkyCrown Casino passes our test of a reliable Canadian gambling site. We love the wide selection of games and the vast variety of bonuses and promotions for new and loyal members. This site also does well in the payments department, providing tens of reliable fiat and cryptocurrency banking methods. And lest I forget, withdrawals via most of these payment mediums are instant, which is rare in the iGaming scene. The only drawback here is the limited customer support options. We give it a solid 4.5/5!

2024.06.02 09:05 StunningWeekend Long-Time iPhone User After 72 hours With Android (Pixel 8 then Samsung S24 Ultra) - My Reflections So Far

(Note: I posted this on Android but I wasn't sure if I did something incorrect because it was removed by the bot immediately, and I don't know how to get it approved. So... if you see it there too, then it must have gotten approved at some point and that's why. Just trying to find a home for this discussion and I promise I'm not trying to spam!)
After a decade with iPhone, curiosity finally got the better of me and I made the switch to Android. My trusty iPhone 13 Mini is still there just in case, but I really do hope to sell it soon. I wanted to document my journey over the last 72 hours with Android in case it helps someone else sitting on the margin just looking to dive in.
These 10 things are simply my opinions and reflections! I'm sure my feelings will continue to evolve, but here's where I'm at after 3 days. As I started typing, I did not expect this to be so long, but I had so many things floating through my head. Sorry for the long read and I'd love to hear others who have made similar changes.
1. Sloppy first impressions: I started with a Pixel 8. Got it for $390, in like new condition during eBay's memorial day sale, and just couldn't pass up that deal. The look of the phone never really attracted me before, but after a few hours it really grew on me. However, I really started to get annoyed at the experience and polish. For example, I had a lot of screens where the text was cut off or folders where the text was cut off. There were system pop-ups where I was expected to approve something that disappeared within a second before I could even read it - was it approved or was it declined?! But what really was upsetting was that there's no way to sort notifications by time. The phone would beep and then I'd have to spend a few seconds trying to figure out what the heck the notification was amidst the long list. Half the time, the time stamp doesn't even show and I'm left wondering if I missed something. This was exacerbated when I started not receiving notifications I would expect, because my iPhone (which was still on WiFi only mode) was getting notifications for new Gmail messages for example, and the Pixel just stayed quiet. That was unacceptable and I decided to return the phone.
However, my significant other has a Samsung, and she mentioned never having these issues so I stuck it out and tried again. This time, I figured - go big or go home - and I got the Samsung S24 Ultra.
2. Much better second try: I read a lot of bad experiences about the UI of Samsung coming into this, but frankly it's a lot more polished than the Pixel. It's like there's a nice coat of paint over all the underlying workings and as an iPhone user, I appreciate that. Everything looks great and while I've been toying with some of the themes in the Galaxy store, I have gone back to the normal One UI each time.
3. Smart Switch works great. It took about an hour to transfer all my settings and applications over to the Samsung. The only thing that took a little bit of figuring out was how to get 25K+ iCloud backed up photos onto this phone. Fortunately, there's an official Apple method for transferring iCloud files to Google Photos, and I initiated that. It's still not done but assuming this goes to plan, the transfer process wasn't that bad at all. I pretty much plopped my iPhone sim card into the Android, spent an hour waiting, and then all my old applications, wallpapers, and even placement of icons was there. Then, I just spent about half an hour signing into everything that I needed to (1Password is hugely helpful!) and I'm off to the races.
4. Settings galore: I am not used to this many settings! It seems I am approving or declining permissions all day long. I have multiple Gmail accounts setup, and I have to go in and adjust each account's notification setting when I just want all of my Gmail messages to have the same setting. I thought I would like this level of customization but it's been a little frustrating finding everything, or trying to figure out what I'm even approving. I find myself on YouTube looking for videos for how to change things such as the lock screen shortcuts. I am hoping that once I get through this initial difficulty, then I'll be cruising. And the biggest thing - Samsung lets me sort notifications in chronological order! That's huge (for me).
5. Navigation bars on top. Why?: I had a small iPhone Mini so one-handed navigation was never a real challenge but I still appreciated how all the menu bars (Facebook, Safari, etc.) were on the bottom of the phone. It made navigation really easy. With all the customization I mentioned in #3, I just assumed this would be an easy fix on Android and I'd be able to change this for any app. I was wrong! Other than Firefox, I have not figured out how to do this in Chrome or Facebook (as an example). I really do not understand why the iPhone version of Facebook would have this on the bottom but the Android version would have it on the top! For a phone as big as the S24U, that would've been a really nice option.
6. PhoneLink is pretty good: I had gotten rid of my Macbook a long time ago. I basically live on my Phone and also have an iPad for when I need a bigger screen and a Windows desktop for professional work. Integration b/w devices was never a big deal to me but I put I setup Phone Link and it's been pretty good. I don't have any real complaints so far - I can transfer files and get all my notifications and respond directly from my computer.
7. Dex is really cool but also buggy: The dream of having only to carry around my phone and never having to open up a laptop, tablet or desktop would be amazing. This phone is definitely powerful enough for the applications I use for work - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. But Dex has some weird quirks that make it a little unreliable. For example, every time I open up an image in Gallery on Dex, the screen goes black for a few seconds before coming back on. Close the picture? Same thing! The cursor scroll just isn't as smooth as on my Desktop machine where I can customize the DPI settings exactly on the Logitech app. These are small things but build up into a less than perfect experience. But when it works, it works great and it's so close to a dream realized.
8. Face unlock is pretty bad, and the fingerprint reader can be hit or miss: FaceID on iPhone was a pleasure to use, except when it's not - i.e., I'm lying in bed. But for most situations, it works pretty good. For those moments I do wish I had a fingerprint reader so it's really nice to have that on the Samsung. But with that said, the Face unlock is horrendously bad. It works about 3/4 of the time in good light and then never in low light. I think the fingerprint reader is 80% successful on the first try for me but that's still lower than I think it should be. Perhaps I should re-register my finger. (Also, what's up with the super bright fingerprint reader on the Pixel 8? I feel like I was staring at the sun every time went to activate it! That said, it does feel like the Pixel's face unlock is better than Samsung). And on the topic of security, I think one of the biggest things I miss is Apple Pay. Some of my favorite go-to restaurants locally let me order online and pay directly using Apple Pay. Now I have to memorize my credit card number....
9. This thing is super powerful. I think people who choose Android chose it for two primary reasons: customization (which I mention in #2 and #3) and power to be productive. It has been very cool to be able to export files from one app directly into another app, edit it there, and save it as a file and then transfer it to my desktop. On iPhone, it was never a certainty which applications I'd be able to import files directly into but on Samsung it seems everything is available. There's always a workaround or solution or a method to doing something and that's been pretty cool. The Snapdragon processor is quick and the screen is beautiful. It's a great media consumption device and I hope it continues to be as snappy as it is now, because 7 years of updates is a very long time!
10. But the size of this phone is kinda insane. Especially coming from an iPhone mini, this thing is so big! It literally does even fit in my pockets when I am sitting and I've had it slide out a couple times onto the floor already because so much physically hangs out of my pants when seated. If Samsung made a smaller Ultra version of the phone in the same size as the S24, then that would be perfect (kinda like how Apple has the Pro and Pro Max). I think if there's a reason I end up going back to iPhone, it's because of the size of this thing. I want something as powerful as the Ultra but in a smaller package, and I haven't found another company that makes something like that. I don't have a case yet and maybe a more textured case will resolve this.
I'll keep this experiment going as I want to make a real effort to switch. Looking forward to continued learning!

What is the Impact of Decentralization in Blockchain Technology?
https://preview.redd.it/zm2lu2s0w34d1.jpg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=233ba7832df2142e1041d6bfdcfa556d11a5944f
In blockchain, decentralization refers to the transfer of control and decision-making from a centralized entity to a distributed network.
This concept is foundational to blockchain technology and distinguishes it from traditional centralized systems.
The Essence of Decentralization
In a centralized system, a single authority or a select group of entities hold control over the network.
They manage data storage, processing, and decision-making, often leading to potential risks like single points of failure, data breaches, and manipulation.
Decentralization mitigates these risks by distributing control across a network of participants, known as nodes.
How Blockchain Achieves Decentralization
Blockchain achieves decentralization through a peer-to-peer (P2P) network where each node maintains a copy of the entire blockchain.
Transactions are verified and recorded by consensus mechanisms such as Proof of Work (PoW) or Proof of Stake (PoS).
These mechanisms ensure that no single node can control the entire network, promoting transparency and security.
Benefits of Decentralization
Enhanced Security:
The distributed nature of blockchain makes it difficult for malicious actors to alter data, as they would need to gain control of a majority of the nodes.
Increased Transparency:
All transactions are recorded on a public ledger, making it easier to trace and verify data.
Resilience:
Decentralized networks are more robust against failures, as the system does not rely on a single point of control.
Trustless Interactions:
Participants can engage in transactions without needing to trust a central authority, relying instead on cryptographic proofs.
Challenges of Decentralization
Scalability:
Decentralized networks often face challenges in handling large volumes of transactions quickly.
Complexity:
Setting up and maintaining a decentralized network can be more complex than a centralized system.
Energy Consumption:
Consensus mechanisms like PoW can be energy-intensive, raising environmental concerns.
Real-World Applications
Cryptocurrencies:
Bitcoin and Ethereum are prime examples of decentralized digital currencies that operate without a central authority.
Decentralized Finance (DeFi):
Platforms like Uniswap and Compound enable financial transactions such as lending and trading without intermediaries.
Supply Chain Management:
Blockchain can track products from origin to consumer, enhancing transparency and reducing fraud.
Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs):
DAOs are organizations governed by smart contracts, allowing for decentralized decision-making and operations.
The Future of Decentralization
As blockchain technology evolves, the trend towards decentralization is expected to continue, impacting various industries beyond finance.
Innovations in scalability solutions, such as sharding and layer-2 protocols, aim to address current limitations.
Ultimately, decentralization represents a paradigm shift towards more democratic, secure, and transparent systems.
In conclusion, decentralization in blockchain marks a significant departure from traditional centralized models, offering numerous benefits and opportunities for innovation.
Understanding its principles and challenges is crucial for harnessing the full potential of this transformative technology.

🔗Steambow AR-6 Stinger II Tactical Crossbow - High-Performance Hunting Accessory

https://preview.redd.it/zys75ipht34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b802f5e0aefebba3996bff911061419aefbb4b0f
The Steambow AR-6 Stinger II Tactical has definitely made an impact in my daily life. The first thing that caught my attention was its sleek design. The impact-resistant polymer construction is not only durable but also UV-resistant, which is a great feature for outdoor use. The length-adjustable AR-style buttstock along with the standard buffer tube provides a comfortable grip.
One of the standout features for me was the maximum velocity of up to 220 FPS and a maximum energy of up to 15.2 FPE. I could really feel the power behind each shot! The ridged and textured pistol grip made holding it steady during use much easier.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The instructions booklet was virtually useless, and I had to rely on a video to assemble it. Additionally, the shims were quite frustrating. Despite these small setbacks, the crossbow performed well and was a lot of fun to use. Overall, I'd recommend this to someone looking for an affordable and powerful crossbow.

🔗Affordable Compact Crossbow for Various Uses

https://preview.redd.it/rb8nmmxht34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60c3b88bc2697330eb35f4ac873e9455022f0869
The AR-6 Stinger II Compact Crossbow Black 414, a compact and versatile crossbow that has become a staple in my outdoor adventures. Its ease of use and portability have made it a go-to choice for a variety of activities.
The draw weight of 35 pounds ensures a sturdy and reliable shot, while its compact design makes it perfect for hunting in tight spaces or carrying during longer excursions. However, despite its strong points, I've noticed that it can be quite noisy, which might be a concern for those in more sensitive shooting environments. Overall, the AR-6 Stinger II Compact Crossbow Black 414 strikes a balance between performance and convenience, making it a worthwhile investment for hunting enthusiasts on a budget.

🔗High-Performance Acudraw Crossbow for Hunters

https://preview.redd.it/8qfszpmit34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6c3449efc49913aa0e26406b88e3d3748e0f5ae
I recently discovered the Wicked Ridge RDX 400 Acudraw crossbow, and I must say, it has completely changed my perceptions about crossbows. The RDX 400 is a beautiful balance of speed, accuracy, and affordability. It has a power stroke of 15.5 inches and can shoot up to 400 feet per second. The perfectly balanced reverse-draw design utilizes the full power stroke for lightning-fast speeds and consistent down-range accuracy.
I love the ACUdraw Pro feature, making cocking a breeze. The included mounted scope, quiver, and arrows deliver a complete package, perfect for both beginners and experienced hunters alike. The compact size of the crossbow (only 9 inches wide) adds to its ease of use and portability.
However, there have been a couple of small drawbacks in my experience. The first is the width options of 9 and 15 inches—the 9-inch width is too narrow for a complete cocking device, so I found myself using the cocking rope more often than not. Secondly, the string serving broke after just 20-25 shots, which was quite disappointing.
Despite these minor issues, the Wicked Ridge RDX 400 Acudraw crossbow has proven to be a reliable, fast, and accurate hunting companion. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the thrill of crossbow hunting without breaking the bank.

🔗Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Reverse-Draw Crossbow with ACUdraw Silent and Pro-View 400 Scope

https://preview.redd.it/l31jm2vit34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d8c29572a591ac487525e492f21428c5f6c76bd
As a reviewer who has been using the Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Crossbow in their daily life, I've had the opportunity to explore its features and experience the benefits it offers. One of the highlights for me has been the ease of use and cocking with the ACUdraw Silent, a feature that allows for silent cocking and reduces the draw weight significantly.
The reversed-draw design provides a smoother shot and better balance for increased accuracy, making it a top choice among other crossbows in the market. The state-of-the-art Pro-View 400 Scope comes with aimpoints out to 70 yards and an updated reticle for improved down-range accuracy.
However, one downside I've noticed is the occasional noise and vibration, which may be addressed by some users with the integrated String Stop System. While the crossbow is a great value, some reviewers have faced issues with the warranty and customer support, which could be essential for future purchases or repeat customers.
Overall, despite the minor drawbacks, the Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Crossbow is a superior choice for those looking to experience the thrill of crossbow hunting with ease and accuracy in their arsenal.

🔗Adjustable Compact Pink Crossbow for Outdoor Fun

https://preview.redd.it/w9mgi1bjt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f49bd9411da4fef9300c8a0e3283a35a805f6f84
Using the Bear x Desire XL Pistol Crossbow has been an exciting adventure in my backyard. The compact design of this pistol crossbow makes it easy to store and transport, yet it's powerful and accurate. The self-cocking arm and forearm grip are perfect for beginners like me, and the adjustable stock allows for comfort and increased stability while shooting. The velocity of 175 FPS makes target practice enjoyable and the 60-pound draw weight provides a challenge without being too overwhelming.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks to this pistol crossbow. The supplied aluminum bolts with plastic push-in fletchings are prone to breaking upon impact with firm surfaces, and the cocking stock latch tends to break almost immediately. These issues are frustrating, but they do not significantly detract from the overall performance of the pistol crossbow.
In conclusion, the Bear x Desire XL Pistol Crossbow offers a fun and user-friendly shooting experience for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Its adjustable stock, compact design, and powerful velocity make it an excellent choice for backyard target practice. However, the flimsy bolts and faulty latch might require replacement over time.

🔗Affordable Wicked Ridge Invader Crossbow with ACUdraw and Pro-View 400 Scope

https://preview.redd.it/cxw0znrjt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb285b1d5cbdeeb7e880f52b66888f838b6fdbd3
I recently had the chance to try out the Wicked Ridge Invader M1 crossbow, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. As a beginner with crossbow hunting, this product was an excellent addition to my gear. The built-in ACUdraw crank cocking device proved to be a game-changer, significantly reducing the draw weight and making cocking a breeze.
One of the standout features was the 70-yard Pro-View 400 scope, which offered impressive aimpoints and a cleaner view for improved accuracy. The scope's updated reticle made a noticeable difference when taking shots at various distances. Additionally, the crossbow's pre-sighting at 20 yards gave me confidence that it would perform well on the hunt.
The fact that this crossbow is built in the United States was a nice touch, and the craftsmanship was evident upon handling the device. The inclusion of a Pro-View 400 scope, 3 Match 400 arrows, and a 3-arrow quiver made the package even more appealing.
However, there were a couple of downsides I encountered during my experience. Firstly, the compact size of the crossbow made it slightly uncomfortable for me to carry and handle for extended periods. Additionally, the weight of the crossbow was a bit heavier than expected, making it challenging for me to carry it around for hours in the field.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Wicked Ridge Invader M1 crossbow proved to be a reliable and efficient hunting companion. The combination of features and performance made it a valuable addition to my gear, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their crossbow or start their hunting journey.

🔗Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow Package with Rope Sled and Accessories

https://preview.redd.it/56d9ssdkt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=430c4bb0f0d13df88866dd82c411ec7bdb1bab3c
As a crossbow enthusiast, I've had the chance to try out the TenPoint Titan M1 Crossbow Package with its Rope Sled. When I first opened the package, I was impressed by the high-quality construction with its CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum material. It was lightweight yet sturdy, and the compact design made it easy to carry during my hunting trips.
One of the standout features for me was the ACUdraw De-Cock system. It made taking off the safety a breeze, allowing me to quickly and safely aim at my target. However, at the same time, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the trigger. It wasn't as smooth as I expected, and it required quite a bit of effort to pull back.
Shooting with the TenPoint Titan M1 was a breeze, thanks to the powerful stroke and elongated inverted VX-5 cams. I was able to achieve pin-point accuracy and devastating speeds, and the included TenPoint 3x Pro-View 3 Scope made sighting in my targets a cinch.
The inclusion of the optional Rope-sled and ACUdraw cocking system made this package versatile and allowed me to choose which one suited my shooting style better. Although the stock itself could have been better, I was happy with the overall durability and performance of this crossbow.
In conclusion, the TenPoint Titan M1 Crossbow Package with Rope Sled is an impressive and powerful crossbow that can truly make a difference on your hunting trips. Despite some minor hiccups like the rough trigger and the stock, it has been an excellent addition to my outdoor gear.

🔗Revolutionary Crossbow with Advanced Technology and Unmatched Accuracy

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the TRX 515 crossbow from TenPoint, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. One of my favorite features was the reverse-draw design, which added a level of smoothness to the shot that I had never experienced before. It was also incredibly accurate, thanks to the twin-riser technology that reduced the riser flex and limb torq.
However, it did have a bit of a tricky cocking mechanism, as I had to make sure to use the patented ACU-slide Maxx system for silent and safe de-cocking. It definitely took a bit of practice to get used to, but once I got the hang of it, it was a great feature. I also appreciated the ambidextrous thumb safety, which allowed me to keep both hands on the crossbow and maintain my focus on the target.

🔗Tenpoint Titan M1 Crossbow: Fast and Powerful Hunting Companion

https://preview.redd.it/r803ot5lt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a12008c4c0679a7b27b3dd9513fa401683956db
I recently got my hands on the Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow and let me tell you, it's quite the experience. I've been crossbow hunting for a while now, so I was eager to see how this one would perform.
The first thing that stood out to me was the size of the crossbow. It's compact and easy to maneuver, making it perfect for those tight hunting spots. I especially loved the narrow width, which made it less hassle to carry around in the woods.
A feature that I enjoyed was the speed at which the crossbow shoots. It's capable of shooting arrows at an impressive 370 FPS, making it one of the faster models I've tried. The T5 trigger with its smooth pull and crisp break was a game-changer, making each shot feel more precise and controlled.
However, one area where the Titan M1 fell short was the durability. I experienced issues with the bowstring, which frayed and snapped after a few hundred shots. I reached out to the customer service team, and they were quick to help, but it was still an inconvenience.
In conclusion, the Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow is a good addition to any crossbow collection. With its high speed and compact design, it's sure to make your hunting experience a breeze. But be warned, there might be some durability issues that you'll need to keep an eye on. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

🔗Silent and Fast Crossbow Cocking Device, ACUdraw PRO by Tenpoint

https://preview.redd.it/4zlog7ilt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4fb49504fbeb55e9d30985201d8dc266035b332
I've had the chance to test out the Tenpoint ACUdraw Pro, and I must say, it has both its pros and cons. On one hand, the product is incredibly quiet, making it perfect for those who prefer hunting without any distractions. Additionally, I love how the ACUdraw Pro is fully integrated into the stock, making it a seamless and sleek addition to my crossbow.
However, there have been a few areas where I experienced some issues. For example, I found that the handle fitting was a bit off, making it difficult to fully utilize the product. Plus, I noticed that the crossbow took a bit longer to cock with the ACUdraw Pro compared to without it.
Overall, I've enjoyed using the Tenpoint ACUdraw Pro, but I believe there's definitely room for improvement. With a few adjustments and tweaks, this could become a fantastic addition to any crossbow enthusiast's arsenal.

🔗Wicked Ridge Acudraw XS Crossbow: Lightweight, Powerful Hunting Companion

I recently had the chance to try out the Wicked Ridge Rampage XS ACUdraw Crossbow, and I must say, it's a game-changer. As an avid hunter, the first thing that caught my eye was the ACUdraw system, which allows you to silently cock and safely de-cock with minimal effort. Not only does it save time, but it also adds a level of stealth to your hunting experience.
One of the highlights of this crossbow is its incredibly lightweight design, weighing in at just 6.5 pounds. It's perfect for those long days in the woods when every ounce counts. Additionally, the 31.5" length, 390 FPS speed, and 5.8 total pounds provide the power, accuracy, and maneuverability you need for a successful hunt.
The Rampage XS ACUdraw Crossbow also features a 3.5-pound trigger, Pro-View Scope with 3x magnification, and a 2.5" adjustment for greater accuracy and comfort. Overall, using this crossbow was a seamless and enjoyable experience, and I'm confident that it will be a reliable addition to any hunter's arsenal.

I've been using the Wicked Ridge Commander M1 Crossbow for some time now, and let me tell you, it's a real game-changer. Despite its budget-friendly price tag, this crossbow punches well above its weight.
The ACUdraw cocking device is a dream to use, making the cocking process a breeze. The 4x multi-line scope offers accurate aiming up to 50 yards, and the fully coated optics are a massive plus. However, I must admit, the draw weight could be lighter for beginners.
All in all, the Commander M1 is a reliable and affordable choice for hunters and archers alike, offering the perfect balance of power and precision.

Last fall, I took up crossbow hunting as a new hobby. I had been researching for months, reading reviews, and comparing different brands. From all the options available, the Wicked Ridge Invader 400 seemed to stand out. Here's my honest review of my experience and the features that really made a difference in my hunting journey.
The first thing I noticed about the Invader 400 was its amazing accuracy. With its fully adjustable Pro-View scope and 3-arrow instant-detach quiver, I was able to hit my targets with incredible precision. This feature was especially useful for my first hunting trip, where a close-range shot was crucial.
In terms of safety, the ACUdraw 50 cocking system made the crossbow feel much more secure when I was preparing to shoot. It was also very easy to handle, even after a long day of hunting, thanks to its lightweight design. However, there were instances where the cocking rod did feel a bit rough on my hand, which caused some discomfort after several shots.
One of the features that I appreciated the most about the Invader 400 was the quiet operation. In the forest, sound can be more important than you may think. Not having my target spooked away is crucial, and this crossbow performed exceptionally well in that regard. That said, the quiet operation did come at the cost of a slight reduction in power compared to some other models on the market.
A few downsides that I encountered during my time with the Invader 400 were the lack of a built-in string stopper and the absence of any kind of noise-reducing mechanisms in the crossbow itself. The lack of a string stopper made for a more dangerous experience, especially when loading and unloading arrows. And while I appreciated the quiet operation, it would have been great if the designers could have found a way to maintain that while still providing a little more power.
Overall, my experience with the Wicked Ridge Invader 400 was mostly positive. It was an excellent crossbow for a beginner like myself, and its accuracy and powerful shots made my hunting trips more successful. There are some features I wish it had, such as built-in noise reduction and a fully adjustable sight, but it certainly gets the job done well for the price point.

🔗Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Lightweight Crossbow - Multi-Line Scope and 3 Arrow Quiver

https://preview.redd.it/jp6cs96nt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=731873d6e5d3e922a7fa1612c92b306f5bc0661c
As an avid hunter, I was intrigued by the Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Crossbow. Its lightweight build and sleek design caught my eye from the start. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed a couple of hiccups with the product.
Firstly, the AcuDraw cocking device was quite tricky to use, requiring some extra effort and attention to avoid making mistakes. While I eventually got the hang of it, I couldn't help feeling a bit frustrated with the initial learning curve.
On the bright side, the crossbow itself was impressive in terms of accuracy and power, with the built-in scope providing a clear and precise view of the target. The lightweight nature made it an easy carry in the field, and the foot stirrup, while small, did the job when needed.
However, there were a couple of downsides I encountered. The scope, while functional, felt a tad flimsy and its dial-in system was somewhat unreliable. Additionally, the foot stirrup, while compact, wasn't the easiest to use, especially for those with larger shoes.
Overall, the Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Crossbow seems like a promising option for hunters in search of a lightweight, powerful weapon. With a few tweaks to address the minor issues, this crossbow could be a great addition to any gear arsenal.

Buyer's Guide

Welcome to the Acudraw Crossbow Buyer's Guide. In this section, we will discuss important features, considerations, and general advice that can help you make an informed decision when purchasing an Acudraw crossbow. With a wide variety of options available on the market, understanding the specific requirements and features of an Acudraw crossbow can help you find the perfect one for your needs.

Power Stroke Distance

https://preview.redd.it/kr1j5ayqt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=018cf3cfb6308ffc7f87d884d1bf796a0a1b7b6f
The power stroke distance is one of the primary factors that determine the performance of an Acudraw crossbow. It is the distance the bow limb moves during the draw cycle. Generally, a longer power stroke distance leads to higher speed and kinetic energy, which results in better accuracy and penetration. Look for a crossbow with a power stroke distance of at least 10 inches for optimal performance.

Draw Weight

Draw weight is the force required to pull the crossbow back to its full draw. Higher draw weight means a stronger and more powerful crossbow. However, it may also require more effort to cock the crossbow. Consider your physical strength and hunting requirements when selecting a draw weight. A good starting point for most hunters is between 150-200 pounds. If you are considering a youth model, look for a lower draw weight, typically around 100-125 pounds.

Speed

The speed of an Acudraw crossbow is measured in feet per second (fps) and affects its shooting range and accuracy. A higher speed crossbow will generally have a greater range and better accuracy. Aim for a minimum speed of 250 fps, as it can provide an ideal balance between power and speed. For a more advanced crossbow, look for models with a speed exceeding 300 fps.

https://preview.redd.it/xwhj30prt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d137e1e4824c9b15a0c2fed75afafdb8a33896d2

Noise and Vibration

Crossbows can be noisy and produce vibrations that can affect the shooter's aim and accuracy. To minimize noise and vibration, look for crossbows with built-in noise dampening and vibration reduction features, such as rubber dampeners or recoil dampening systems. These features will help improve your shooting experience and reduce fatigue.

Practical Considerations

  • Length: Opt for a crossbow with a comfortable length that suits your height and reach. Ideally, the butt plate should rest comfortably against your shoulder when drawing the bow.
  • Weight: Consider the weight of the crossbow, especially for hunting. A lightweight crossbow is easier to carry during extended hunts, but it may also be less stable and require more control.
  • Safety: Look for features such as a manual safety, an automatic safety that engages when the bow is cocked, and string dampers to help prevent accidental discharges.
  • Scope: Choose a crossbow with a quality scope that offers a clear sight picture and adequate magnification for the desired shooting range.

Maintenance and Care

https://preview.redd.it/ltbwjk3st34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=258398eec1105cc2a0f4ffa51b33decdcac34580
Caring for your Acudraw crossbow is essential to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. Regular maintenance includes cleaning and lubricating the crossbow after each use, inspecting the strings and cables for wear, and maintaining the scope properly. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's maintenance guidelines to keep your crossbow in top condition.
Selecting the perfect Acudraw crossbow requires considering several factors, such as power stroke distance, draw weight, speed, noise and vibration reduction, and practical considerations like length, weight, safety, and maintenance. By taking these elements into account, you can find an Acudraw crossbow that meets your specific needs and provides an enjoyable and successful hunting experience.

2024.06.02 08:33 AquaticArroww Any alternatives to the oneplus 12?? (Less than the price of it)

I may not be getting a oneplus 12 soon but i wonder is there any alternatives to it? the 899 dollar price is steep so i think there might be alternatives to the flagship killer of a phone. here are my requirements
Good display (Curved): something with a high res plus a higher brightness peak. a curved display is required so moves are more immersive (HDR10+ is a requirement while dolby vision is a bonus.) also a high color gamut is needed
I guess a similar processing power or processor to the oneplus 12? (Snapdragon 8's gen 3). just need something smooth and powerful
Good camera quality and a good build that doesnt make it bulky. (like the redmi note 13 pro plus for example) blocks my hand due to the cameras.
Faster battery recharge over Battery life. i just need it to recharge faster i guess.
That is it. thanks

2024.06.02 08:26 moukiez WiFi and Bluetooth keep disabling themselves, shows no networks, and laptop freezes and has trouble turning on/restarting properly, all since yesterday.

I'm at my wit's end, hopefully someone can help me resolve this issue. I apologize for the deluge of text you're about to read.
My laptop is an Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel CC715-71, running Windows 11 Pro. I got it late 2020 I believe, and aside from the sound no longer working a few months in and the finger print sensor saying it can't recognize my fingerprint after like a handful of uses until I reset/re-register the fingerprints and anew, only for the process to repeat yet again, it's been perfect.
(I was living in Canada at the time and imported it from the States, so after all the hassle with customs, it wasn't worth jumping through all those hoops to send it back again, even if it was ridiculous that the sound and fingerprint sensor stopped working just a few months in for such an expensive device.)
Fast forward four years to yesterday, and it was working fine, but I went to the bathroom and came back, and suddenly the WiFi wasn't working. It was fine on every other device/phone/laptop/Steam Deck, but no matter what I did, the WiFi refused to connect.
In the past, I've had issues with this laptop being the only device to not connect to the WiFi network in this building, but now it's not detecting any networks. It claims the WiFi is on, but checking in the settings show it isn't. Clicking it on refuses to engage, either failing to do so, or looking like it complies before immediately turning itself off.
Then the WiFi icon/option would disappear entirely, and the Bluetooth did the same. I would find the Bluetooth setting in the Device Manager window when I enable "Show Hidden Devices", but I don't know how or why it was hidden.
My Network Adapter (Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201160MHz, I believe) would be disabled, and checking the Event tab in the Properties would say things like "Device not started (Netwtw10)" and "Device configured (oem91.inf)" and things like that.
I would try updating, downloading the latest drivers from Acer for my laptop using my phone and transfer it to my phone and try to install them, and sometimes it would say it installed and works, but other times it would say it detected the drivers I wanted to install but failed to install them.
I've tried disabling and enabling the driver, uninstalling and reinstalling it, deleting it and restarting the laptop to automatically get it again (not sure how it did so without the internet, but it would be there, every time), and doing the same for the Bluetooth driver.
Sometimes the WiFi would work for like all of a minute or two, before it would become disabled and find no networks and there would be an error with the driver and the event log saying things like the Device didn't start, and once or twice I think I saw it say "WiFi Device Cannot Start (code 10)".
At this point I was ready to give up and just use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop to connect to and call it a day until I could care enough again, but even that wasn't applicable, because that option for Mobile Hotspot was grayed out and said something about how I couldn't connect it no Ethernet or Wifi device connected. (Specifically, it says "We can't set up mobile hotspot because your PC doesn't have an Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular data connection.)
All through this, my laptop started being fucking weird in that if I clicked "restart", it wouldn't turn itself back on. I'd have to press the power button to do so, and even then, it often wouldn't. I've tried power cycling like three fucking trillion times, and it would never work consistently or turn on after I've let the lights blink several times or waited 30 seconds or 60 seconds or longer.
(Aaaaaaaand I suspected my WiFi would be a bitch again and so I tried to send what I've typed out on the laptop to my phone via Telegram (because typing all this on my phone was getting tedious), but of course, the WiFi went out the SECOND I tried. I was using the Mobile Hotspot option immediately just in case my normal WiFi network went out, but it still disabled itself and wouldn't stay online via Mobile HotSpot when the option was available/not grayed out like it is now.
So I'm going to have to save this wall of text as a text document or something and manually transfer it to my phone.)
I finally decided to do a system restore, selecting one from May 26th, and it took like 30 - 45+ minutes, and of course it didn't restart itself, but when I finally managed to find the right power cycle attempt to get it to turn on, my laptop said the system restore was a success.
Huzzah! It was working. For 30 minutes.
😐
So I tried to download MalwareBytes on my phone, and it downloaded then I transferred it to my laptop, and of course it needed to connect to the internet to download the rest of itself, so it wasn't conducive to anything in this situation.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and I (foolishly) thought I had solved my WiFi/Bluetooth issues last night and was even feeling galvanized to try and open up the bottom of my laptop and see if the sound issue I've been avoiding dealing with/coping by using Bluetooth earbuds/headphones for the past four years was as simple as something being unplugged, so I went to get my strebito kit, which I see everywhere around me and in my vicinity, except of course (you guessed it) the one time in four years that I actually genuinely needed it :))))))))))))))))
I also got a BSOD today, and I think I glimpsed it saying something like "ACPI block management", but it was very quick so I can't be sure. I tried to google that, but the only ACPI answers I could see in relation to googling it for reddit solutions (lol I love that everyone has had a problem before and that there is invariably a reddit thread with that exact problem, situation, and solution) were in relation to ACPI BIOS errors, so it may have been that.
I tried accessing the BIOS (which took a lot and trial of error in power cycling because of how inconsistent it is that my laptop has been with turning on since yesterday). Of course, I had apparently previously set a BIOS password when trying to allow my laptop to boot into Batocera like a year or so ago, and I apparently am not intelligent enough to have had the foresight to write it down in a note or document on my phone, despite me knowing my ADHD/memory is garbagio, so I always make it a POINT to do so, because I don't trust my powers of recollection (and apparently, as evidenced by this instance, with good fucking reason!).
Of course, I forgot to mention that now my laptop freezes, including when I was writing up a majority of this thread in the aforementioned notepad, so now I can't even transfer it and have to re-type what few paragraphs I see (I had JUST scrolled down to make more distance between the bottom of the text and the document because I hate not having that visual buffer between the text and the bottom of the window, it makes me feel like the text is running out or more difficult to see/continue) on my phone anyways, so that was yet another obstacle. 🙃
So, to summarize:
  1. Laptop's WiFi/Bluetooth keep disabling themselves and the Bluetooth keeps hiding itself, so not even the icon is visible. The WiFi can't find any networks, and refuses to turn on (even though it says it does when I toggle it), and when it's like this, I cannot connect via Mobile Hotspot either.
  2. The laptop is being very peculiar about it restarting, only does so if I press the power again after it shuts down (despite me selecting restart), and even then, only sometimes. I keep having to power cycle it to try and find the perfect sweet spot to let go and have it actually turn on.
  3. The laptop now freezes within 20 or so minutes, and stays that way until I restart the laptop.
  4. Sometimes it tells me that a driver reinstall works, other times it says it doesn't.
  5. The driver events say that the device did not start, and error 10.
  6. The laptop showed a Blue Screen of Death today, and the error said "ACPI" followed by (what I think it was) "block management" or (what it probably was) "BIOS error".
  7. I set a BIOS password that I do not remember.
  8. I do not have access to my Strebito toolkit to open up the laptop, nor do I have money to take it to BestBuy Geek Squad or wherever does laptop repair.
  9. My laptop speakers do not work, despite sound apparently playing based on the animation/sound waves playing in the sound settings when media is active, and stops when nothing is playing, leading me to believe maybe something has been unplugged for like 4 years internally.
  10. (I have many a time tried to uninstall, reinstall, download, and update Realtek drivers, but no sound comes from my speakers.)
  11. I managed to run MalwareBytes, and it said it found a Neshta virus in a CEMU/WiiU emulator I downloaded literally years ago in the CEMUHOOK.DLL file), which I assume was present even in the system restore done yesterday backed up from 6 days ago. Apparently there was also Yontoo adware. I have since quarantined them.
  12. (I should perhaps also note I rarely if ever use CEMU, and certainly haven't within the past two years, if not longer. I just like having access should I do desire on a whim to play.)
  13. The problems (aside from the missing sound) started just yesterday, when I was away from the computer briefly, so it's even more vexing because I wasn't there at the onset of the issue or saw what caused it.
  14. I'm incredibly reticent to do a clean install/start from scratch because I have so much stuff I'd have to reconfigure and download and reinstall because I'm a very particular person, and that would be so insanely time-consuming, you don't even know. If there's anything short of nuking this laptop that can help resolve these issues, that's what I would like to find out. I'm aware this is not the optimal/best idea, but I'm willing to deal with that in the future.
  15. I do not have access to the router, as this is a building and they handle the Wi-Fi.
Either the universe or my own hubris and ineptitude keep trying to humble me, so I require patience and assistance. Please. And thank you. 😭 Whatever steps, whatever instructions, as long as they're clear and step by step, I can provide whatever you might need to deduce what the issue is and what a solution might be.
Edit: Of course, as soon as I do everything in my power to try and get it done and finally admit defeat and resort to outside help from the community, the internet seems to be stable for the moment. I'm hesitant to turn off my laptop and restart again to see if that's still an issue.

https://preview.redd.it/ja2b7lv4p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c22b1f25e5a77ceb54c08dc24d442b72edf65c3d

During my time sailing on the open seas, I encountered a predicament where my boat's batteries were not being charged properly. That's when I stumbled upon the Blue Sea 7621100 ml ACR Charging Relay. This ingenious device quickly solved my problem, and I couldn't be happier with the results.
The Blue Sea Charging Relay has an automatic charging system that manages the charging of two large battery banks, which was essential in my case. Additionally, it allows me to parallel my battery banks during emergency starting, providing me with that extra peace of mind while out at sea.
Another impressive feature was the 500 Ampere continuous rating, which supported my high-output alternators. This device truly proved its worth by handling the heavy-duty charging tasks with ease.
However, there was one minor issue I encountered - the dual sensing system that senses the charge on both battery banks sometimes caused a bit of confusion while troubleshooting. But overall, the pros outweighed the cons, and I wholeheartedly recommend the Blue Sea 7621100 ml ACR Charging Relay to any sailor in need of a reliable battery management solution.

🔗Alpha Wire 2844/7 Black Hook-Up Wire (24AWG, 304.8m)

https://preview.redd.it/j3j1u6c5p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97c62f850a237c37eb6f15a071d9d5c26620aa60
The Alpha Wire 2844/7 BK001 hook-up wire is the perfect solution for your electrical needs. It's a 24AWG stranded copper wire that's silver-coated for enhanced conductivity.
The black PTFE jacket provides an excellent insulating layer, making it durable and resistant to wear and tear. The wire is compact, with a 0.036" diameter and a thickness of just 0.006", allowing for easy installation without compromising on its strength. And with a voltage rating of 250V, you can rest easy knowing that it's perfectly designed to handle most household appliances.
I've found that not only does it work well in my daily life, but it's also quite reliable in terms of durability. Overall, this 2844/7 BK001 hook-up wire from Alpha Wire is a top-notch product that I would highly recommend to anyone in need of a reliable hook-up wire.

🔗ACR Olas Core Base Station and Mob Alarm System: MOB Alert with Ultra-Bright LED and Audible Alarm

https://preview.redd.it/wlecdi06p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b800e5142af720f1ec92550a3f19845540f0f8d5
I recently had the chance to try out the ACR Olas Core Base Station and Mob Alarm System, and I must say, it's a game-changer for boaters. This small yet powerful device has saved me on more than one occasion. Say goodbye to those "Man Overboard" panics and hello to a reassuring safety net for your crew.
One thing that stood out to me was the base station's ability to connect with up to 15 wearable or float transmitters. It's like having a virtual lifeline for your crew, all within arm's reach. I particularly love the option to connect to the ACR Olas mobile app, which provides directional screens and essential MOB positioning prompts during recovery operations.
However, there were a few things I wish were different. For example, the device could be a bit more user-friendly, especially for people who may not be comfortable using technology. Also, I found the wearable transmitters to be a bit bulky, which might be an issue for those who want a sleeker look. But overall, the ACR Olas Core Base Station and Mob Alarm System certainly has my seal of approval.

🔗ACR HydroFix EPIRB Release Unit: Seamless Emergency Beacon Release

https://preview.redd.it/57x7v0h6p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ff1d8c07162364b1500a9a3a63945bc6e500b675
I recently had the chance to try out the ACR Sea Shelter unit, part of the HydroFix Hydrostatic Release Unit family, and let me tell you, it truly lives up to its reputation as a reliable and user-friendly device.
One of the standout features of this unit is its compatibility with various ACR EPIRB categories. I found the installation process to be incredibly smooth, thanks to the included ACR Sea Shelter, Sea Shelter2, and Sea Shelter3 brackets. These brackets made fitting the unit onto my EPIRB a breeze.
Another great aspect of this release unit is its lack of reliance on battery, blade, or pyrotechnic device to release the beacon when an emergency occurs. The design is built for a quick, seamless, and dependable release in such situations.
However, I did notice that this product is date-stamped and must be replaced every two years from the date of installation or four years from the date of manufacture. While this might seem like a minor inconvenience, it's a good incentive to ensure your device is always up-to-date and functioning at its best.
Overall, my experience with the ACR Sea Shelter unit was very positive. The ease of installation, reliable release mechanism, and compatibility with various EPIRBs make it a valuable investment for anyone looking to ensure their safety at sea. Highly recommended!

🔗Compact, Resilient Personal Locator Beacon with Return Link Service

The ACR ResQLink View RLS beacon I've been using in my outdoor escapades is a remarkably compact and robust device. It's been meticulously designed, tested, and engineered to withstand even the most extreme environmental conditions. This beacon is also buoyant, which gives it an added edge in watery adventures.
One feature that really stands out is the Return Link Service (RLS) functionality. It's reassuring to know that if I ever need help, my distress message will be received, and my location detected, giving me peace of mind. The device also has a handy digital display that provides live status updates, and with no subscription needed, I don't have to worry about hidden costs.
The battery life is impressive, with a 5-year lifespan and an operational life of 28 hours. However, it's worth mentioning that the device is quite lightweight, which might affect its overall durability. But considering its excellent features and performance, I'd say the ResQLink View RLS is a top choice for anyone seeking a personal locator beacon.

🔗Raco 2844 Metallic Cast Compression Connector for EMT Conduit

The Raco 2844 Cast Uninsulated Compression, aka the Acr Electronics 2844, is a meticulously crafted conduit fitting that boasts an impressive 5.0 rating out of 16 reviews. Designed for EMT conduit, this connector offers a natural finish and robust die-cast zinc construction.
As someone who's been on the receiving end of this product, their CSA and UL listed standards left me confident with the quality of the build. The 2.19 inch overall length and 3.5 inch trade size make this connector a versatile option for your conduit fittings, while the compression connector design provides secure and concrete-tight connections. The ease of wrench installation is also a major plus, as it ensures a snug fit without any hassle.
However, I should note that this connector is non-insulated, so it may not be the best option for certain applications where insulation is a requirement. Additionally, the connector's zinc material may be subject to slight corrosion over time, which could slightly hinder its longevity. Nonetheless, the Raco 2844 Cast Uninsulated Compression is a reliable and efficient conduit fitting, perfect for those seeking a solid, wrench-installed connection in their electrical projects.

🔗Alpha Wire 2844/7 BR001 Hook-Up Wire - 24AWG, Brown, 305M Cable

https://preview.redd.it/9d5e9gk7p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8c7e9b72b1d040ac5bc56663d7684b3a59f0804
I've been using the Alpha Wire 2844/7 BR001 Hook-Up Wire for a while now, and it's been a game-changer in my daily life. The stranded copper, silver-coated conductor and PTFE jacket insulation make it a reliable and durable option, perfect for hooking up my electronic devices.
The 24 AWG wire gauge and 305m length have made it easy to work with, and I appreciate the flexibility it provides. The brown jacket insulation has a nice touch and is easy to spot in my messy workspace.
However, one thing I've noticed is that the voltage rating of 250V might not be suitable for all applications, so I had to double-check to make sure it was compatible with my devices.
Overall, the Alpha Wire Hook-Up Wire is a reliable and convenient solution for my electronics needs, and I highly recommend it for others looking for a high-quality wire.

🔗Weather-Resistant Audio Intercom with Hands-Free Loudspeaking

https://preview.redd.it/iwf03qx7p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ec4c2c0665ec78774b1e1c5f72024e2bb2066d5
Using the Alpha Communications AM612/04S in my daily life has been a breeze. The hands-free loudspeaking feature works really well, allowing me to communicate without any hassle. The weather-resistant mylar speaker is a standout feature, as it ensures the device performs optimally outdoors, withstanding various weather conditions. The self-wiping push button switches are convenient, providing hassle-free access to the intercom.
However, one downside I've encountered is the presence of plastic buttons and grille, which might not be as durable as I'd like it to be. Additionally, the decorative end caps, while visually appealing, seem a bit flimsy. I've also noticed that the slim-line surface-mount option can cause some installation challenges when mounting the device directly on the wall, despite it being easy to install overall.

🔗Violet 24AWG Alpha Wire Hook-Up

https://preview.redd.it/0qdh67g8p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14776e54330273e6d08353a6f1830dbd2598cc93
I was tasked with reviewing an Alpha Wire 2844/7 VI001, a Hook-Up Wire with a 24 AWG copper conductor, coated in violet PTFE insulation. I found the product both durable and visually appealing. The silver coating on the conductor gives it a professional look, while the violet insulation is easier to spot in a busy lab or workshop.
However, I did notice a minor downside. Connecting and disconnecting the wire from its terminals can sometimes be a bit tricky due to the conductor's small size. Despite this minor inconvenience, the wire held up well in my daily use, and I'd recommend it for anyone seeking a reliable and attractive hook-up wire solution in their electrical projects.

🔗15A Rackmount Power Sequencer with 9 Outlets - ETL Listed, EMI/RFI Filtering, and Dual Activation Delay

https://preview.redd.it/bxeintk8p34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fcf3d45eac75a7bbb9559d105613e3e3bca93def
I recently had the chance to try out Lowell ACR-SEQ4-1509 15A Rackmount Power Sequencer, and I have to say, it made quite an impact in my daily life. The first thing that caught my eye was its compact design. It fits easily into any standard rack, and its steel chassis feels sturdy and reliable.
What stood out the most for me was the sequencer's ability to control the power flow to my devices. The front rocker switch effortlessly activated and deactivated the "switched" outlets in the back. The adjustable delay of 0.5 to 10 seconds between each step allowed me to tailor the power sequence to my specific needs.
But, the highlight of this product for me has to be the LED status indicators. They are color-coded and make it incredibly easy to understand the status of each powered device. The addition of the optional momentary remote switches is also a nice touch for those who require hands-free control.
The only downside I found was the lack of an on/off switch. While not a deal-breaker for me, it may be something others consider when purchasing this power sequencer.
Overall, Lowell ACR-SEQ4-1509 15A Rackmount Power Sequencer is a handy tool that makes managing my power connections a breeze. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to streamline their power distribution.

🔗Reliable, LED Distress Flare for Safe Navigation

https://preview.redd.it/dj7r48cap34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8472af3a5a158a87bf8b096aa88139eea0c97757
As a boater, I've always been wary of traditional pyrotechnic flares for safety reasons. That's why, when I came across the ACR ResQFlare Electronic Distress Flare & Flag, I knew I had to give it a try. This innovative device has been designed to provide a safer, more reliable alternative to traditional pyrotechnic flares and can even be carried in lieu of them.
What stood out the most was the 360-degree visibility from over six miles away. Not only did it provide excellent visibility during emergencies, but it also had a significantly longer burn time than traditional flares. Its lightweight, compact size, and floatability made it incredibly easy to use – all while being fungus, corrosion, and water-resistant.
The ACR ResQFlare also comes with a distress flag, which, when carried together, qualifies as a replacement for traditional pyrotechnic flares. It's a perfect addition to any ditch bag, especially considering that it doesn't go out of date, saving me time and avoids the hassle of replacement.
One downside I faced was the lack of a lanyard attached to the device. While it floats upright in water, there are better options available that might be more visible in daylight compared to the ACR ResQFlare. However, as a safety device, the ACR ResQFlare still gets the job done without the risk of fire or injury.
In conclusion, the ACR ResQFlare Electronic Distress Flare & Flag is a great addition to any boater's safety arsenal. It's easy to use, safe, and provides excellent visibility during emergencies. Its longevity and added convenience make it a worthy choice as a replacement for traditional pyrotechnic flares.

2024.06.02 08:16 Fast-Measurement7072 Need opinions on a difficult group therapy interaction

I'm in a process group with 7 other people for about a year. Me and one other person just don't get along. I can't decide if I should stay or leave. The group has been helpful at times but I am so turned off about spending more time with someone who is really upsetting and exhausting to be around. I have lost any interest in being open around her because of how invalidating and dismissive she is. But I really like the other group members and cherish the group experience.
I talked with her about some of the things she's said that are rude and have upset me. She got defensive, and instead of listening, brought up a list of things I've said that apparently offended her from past group sessions. I learned about DARVO and it was pretty much that. It was also pretty innocuous stuff that she took to be a personal attack. Like one example is I wasn't inviting her into the conversation when she came into the group late. I've gone out of my way to try to understand her perspective and give her air time to explain why she thinks I attacked her, I apologize for it, she thinks the apology is not enough. Just once I would like her to show some empathy, ask me for my perspective. Other times she stonewalls and says she has nothing to say on the topic and did nothing wrong.
I was really opening myself up about something hard, and she was cold about it. I said hey that was hurtful and I'd like some empathy if I'm sharing something I'm struggling with. She said she can't feel empathy because she doesn't have other people's life experiences, then after some back and forth she started yelling at me and said she's attacking me because I "attacked" her. She isn't willing to hear my point of view when I tell her hey I feel upset/angry/hurt by what you just said. I'm tired of constantly giving her space and empathy but not having it reciprocated.
What am I supposed to do? Others in the group see my point of view but also aren't as sensitive to this particular dynamic as I am so they just kind of get annoyed by her then move on and rationalize why she's acting that way. She also doesn't come at others the way she comes at me. But I'm tired of being empathetic to someone who is not capable of empathy. I am fed up. I think her behavior would be considered emotional abuse in any other relationship and I don't want to tolerate it anymore. We have reached an impasse after multiple attempts of me trying to talk about it directly with her.
Is there a way out of this that doesn't involve leaving the group? Or should I just leave the group at this point?
I am confused because if this were a friendship or romantic partner I'd just break up and move on because we are not compatible. It'd be a way to enforce boundaries. How do you deal with something like this in a group setting?

2024.06.02 08:14 AkumaZ Dojo Guide to Higher Scores

Aka your roadmap to the leaderboard!
Who am I? A dojo obsessed masochist who is nearing the end of mirroring every dojo fight (beating enemies with their weapon and style)
I’ve gotten on the leaderboard a few times in the process and it’s gotten me more interested in how it all works and figured sharing what I’ve learned can help others
Alright let’s start by breaking down the scoring, which will lead into some more detailed breakdown of things
You’re score is based on 3 things
Time
Damage
Technique
First off, Time. This is really your DPS score, the faster you kill the enemy the higher the score, I’ve seen upwards of around 4600 I think and I’m not sure you can get much higher than that, but this is truly a measure of how well you kill things.
Next: Damage. This is actually scored based on how much damage YOU take, with a max score of 4200. Now if you take even a single hit, that drops down 1-200 points depending on the severity of it and can quickly drain your score if you keep getting hit
Now if you’re only worried about the master rank of 7k, you can kinda see how just no hitting and killing fast regardless of anything else gets you there
So here’s where it gets more interesting
Tech. This is scored on 3 different things. How many crits you get, how many countersparks you get, and how many martial arts you land
The martial arts part I think has a quality and quantity score, aka landing a few big ass hits scores just as well landing a bunch of weaker ones, which is why you’ll still see good tech scores from Greatswords and Odachis despite less total MAs used
Now prior to the most recent update, it was just Crits and Countersparks, and typically the ceiling for that score was around 1600 or so. Now though, you can get tech scores 2000-2500+ if you’re landing martial arts all over. Sometimes then it’s actually worth it to drag a fight out a bit longer in order to get more Countersparks and MAs landed. You might lose 2-400 points on the time, but potentially gain 800+ on tech in the process
Again for the 7k threshold, this is easy as hell to reach with the change, but if you’re going for something higher like the leaderboard, you more or less have to do damage exclusively with Martial arts. After all any regular hit done doesn’t get you any points in itself (but if it helps you kill faster then it helps your time score)
So it serves you well to figure out what combination of MAs work for you and your favorite styles. Violent Gale and Flash attacks are also pretty crucial to this, not because they score points by themselves but they allow you to more quickly transition from skill to skill so you can land more scoring Martial Arts. PLUS they help your Ki management and recovery.
So how do you get in the leaderboard? Simple really
Don’t get hit, counterspark damn near everything thrown at you, deal damage almost exclusively with Martial arts, and get at LEAST one critical hit in the process. 2 is better but not always possible
Pre 1.05 9000 pts was sorta the threshold for “great”, didn’t take a perfect no hit run but overall excellent play. 10k+ was the realm of absolute perfection (or pre nerf Unearthly Flame)
Post 1.05, 9k isn’t such a hard thing to achieve, I’d say 9700ish is the new equivalent of that, with 10k+ being the next step, and likely puts you on the leaderboard. Absolute perfection with a meta strategy puts you in the 11k range
And not all fights are created equally, as an example I think Genzui first dojo fight actually has a higher scoring potential than the fierce version because of the mock vs actual combat, allowing you to get an extra crit and more countersparks
Let’s also compare the 2 different types of dojo fights. Mock combat and Actual Combat
Mock combat is with wooden weapons, damage is much lower and fights tend to be longer because of it. For your gear you’re only benefiting from your 4 armor pieces and 4 accessories so builds are more limited. In these fights, you’re often able to get 2 crits and sometimes 3 if you play well
Oh and if you like running 6 katana styles you need to enter into the dojo with 2 equipped, once you’re in the menu only gives you access to one of each weapon (except bayonet because its rifle and shotgun bullets)
This has made some of my sequential mirror fights a pain because I try to double up on weapons to flash attack between the same style
Actual combat is basically toned down real shit. You have access to your normal weapons, though they’re downtuned for base damage which means your bond transferred skills and set bonuses also apply. The base damage is higher compared to wooden weapons, on top of having more of your build available, leads to shorter, bloodier fights. If you use hard hitting big weapons sometimes a second crit is hard to come by because of the sheer DPS. Oh you also get your grapple hook! That can be a big deal if you’re running the Dragon set to make use of its grapple max ki damage
And now we get into some more details about MAs I’ve found work EXTREMELY well for dojo scoring, my MVP list
Remember the tech score includes critical hits and MA landing? Well there are some skills that do BOTH, so you get a double count on your score for using them. I highly recommend having one in your arsenal, and several veiled arts are included so there’s some flexibility
Now the downside of these arts is your Ki recovery is slower to start up after use compared to a regular triangle crit so be aware. Also the actual critical blow portion tends to come at the end of the move, so there’s a bit of lead time with it. The slower ones you’ll maybe consider using to actually be part of the final depletion process, but if you’re committed to a big combo that ends up fully depleting an enemy, there may not be enough time to do the entire art with the crit at the end, in those instances just take the regular crit
I apologize if the names are off, I’m doing this off memory at the moment
The number one art? Nozuchi Drop on Odachi (Mumyo). This is a triple threat. It’s a skill, it does a crit on a Ki depleted enemy, and on a panicked enemy it suplexes them. Plus it’s FAST and useful even if you’re not in a scenario to use the extra functions. Even when it takes the crit it’s a very fast and short animation which can save you precious time for your score. Plus the crit happens almost immediately so you run less of a risk of missing the crit compared to other moves. Works great in combos too because of its speed and as a standalone for the panic grab after deflecting attacks
Next I like Roaring Blade on Tennen Rishin Latana. It does a big ki pulse that can do a good deal of Ki damage and the downward slash can take the critical hit, good at the end of a combo when an enemy is near depletion.
Night raven(Mumyo) and Spring Storm (Jigen) on Katana. These are triple threats in a different way, and are especially useful in Mock Combat because they count as grapple attacks, so they can trigger the Dragon grapple ki without having your grapple! Oh and they also can take critical hits, so excellent choices all around
Twin Dragons (Mumyo) on paired swords. This is a GREAT art, it is fast, does a bunch of hits, does great Ki damage especially when blocked, and can take the crit
Bone Shatterer on bayonet. This is another solid one, does a great deal of Ki damage, does a BIG crit hit on Ki depleted, and overall just fun to use
Demon Bear on Greatswords. Decent, animation for the crit is a little long but you do start regenerating Ki sooner when you use it compared to others
There are others, every style (except unarmed) I think has at least one Veiled Art that can also crit but these are my favs
A couple non criticals worth mentioning
Autumn Current (Hokushin Itto) is a solid choice, does great damage, even better Ki damage (especially if they’re blocking) and you can run it as long as you have Ki. Be wary of overcommitting with it though, its easy to do
Shadow Double, a bit slow overall but can strip Ki very well. Gives you a somewhat long range option too. Not sure it’s worth using as a VA on another katana style but Gikei is a solid shinobi style so it’s there for you
Mugai-ryu Firecracker. Not a veiled art, has a tricky range, and a long recovery after using it. But it does a FUCK ton of Ki damage, if you use it after a violent gale so that you’re very close to an enemy that helps ensure it hits. I’m planning to experiment more with this one after I finish my mirror challenges
And if you haven’t checked out the write up on Panic, I’d recommend giving it a read, as learning to understand, plan, and manage panic is really the key to getting those low to no-hit high score runs
https://reddit.com/riseoftheronin/comments/1d5d23l/panic_is_maybe_the_most_important_mechanic_in/
That’s all I can think of at the moment, so get out there and start scoring some points!

2024.06.02 08:13 KiaraKawaii Guide: How to play FIRST STRIKE Nami

TLDR enclosed for each section directly under their respective subheading in bolded font

FORENOTE

TLDR (for this section): - First Strike is good on many enchanters, esp vs matchups we outrange - Being the more item-reliant support class, the faster we get gold the quicker we can reach item spikes - Aery is not dead, it is still good overall
Before I get into the specific build, I first need to explain how and why this whole setup works. First Strike is mostly taken as a gold-accelerating rune vs matchups that u outrange, ensuring that u get the "first strike" onto enemies consistently. With the changes to First Strike giving more base gold on the initial hit and less gold on subsequent hits compared to before, it pairs really well with a lot of enchanters' poke patterns. Usually, we have one poke spell and not much followup. The current First Strike matches this poke pattern perfectly (think Nami W, Sona E, Seraphine passive-empowered autos etc), allowing us to get an extra 15g per proc on top of our support item gold
I'm able to come out of lane with 300-400 gold fairly consistently. Pair this with free boots or Cash Back, and u can essentially double this amount of gold. Since enchanters tend to be quite item-reliant, having this extra gold generation allows us to reach our item spikes a lot faster, further increasing the snowball potential
Do keep in mind that we can still go Aery vs most matchups, it's just that some matchups First Strike is very abuseable. When unsure, default to Aery!
CREDENTIALS (skip to guide below if uninterested in this section):
I know that some people really care about credentials, so I am leaving this here. Feel free to skip this section and jump straight into the content if it does not concern u
I am a Master tier enchanter main with over 2.8mil points on Nami. I am by no means a perfect player, I still make mistakes and have plenty of areas to improve on
So, please note that the following information serves as a recommendation and general guideline. It was compiled based off of my own personal experience. Said information is not concrete, nor is it a law that you must follow. You are entitled to your own preferences, playstyles, and opinions, which may differ from mine. My only intent here is to share information that some players may find helpful
With the introductions out of the way, we can now move onto the guide:

1. CONTENTS

Having originally posted this on NamiMains, I have come forth with a rune page that has been rising in popularity on enchanters: First Strike. Not only is this applicable on Nami, but on a lot of other enchanters who have decent range
The following guide has been split into these sections: - 1. CONTENTS - 2. So how/why does it work? - 3. ITEMS - 4. RUNES - 5. Core Mechanics of Nami W - 6. Final Words
Due to the length and detail of this guide, I can understand if some players don't wish to read everything. In which case, I have included TLDRs in this post. For ease of access, here is the formatting guideline for the TLDRs of this post:
The following guide has been split into sections for easier navigation, if u are in a hurry for a specific section, scroll down to find the specific subheading that u need. Each explanation is also lengthy, but if u want a brief TLDR of each section, it will be enclosed for each section directly under their respective subheading in bolded font

2. So how/why does it work?

TLDR (for this section): - Take First Strike vs matchups you outrange - Nami E on allies procs First Strike - The new Jack of All Trades rune should be utilised (see below for how)
On Nami specifically, we have an additional way to proc First Strike, since Nami E on allies actually procs First Strike! The best part of this interaction is that ur ally can be hit by enemies with ur E buff, but bc it wasn't you being hit directly, u will still retain the First Strike bonuses if ur ally hits enemies back with ur E buff despite being hit first! A common issue raised with this point is "what if my ADC is bad and doesn't use my E buff?" Don't worry, I got u covered too! So, whenever u empower an auto or ability that is still travelling middair towards the enemy, if u E urself or ur ally during said auto/ability, the slow and bonus dmg from E will still apply on impact. So, if u notice that ur ADC has cast an auto or ability onto the enemy, try to E them while this auto/ability is still travelling towards the enemy. Not only will this maximise E duration, give enemies minimal time to react to the slow and extra dmg, but it will also ensure that u proc First Strike due to E buff, as well as Manaflow Band and other item effects
This also works on ur own autos and abilities, and chaining abilities tgt like this will also help to cancel Nami's lengthy spell animation for more efficient trade patterns, hence better First Strike usage. Since W is our most consistent poke ability, we ideally want to start with this ability when trying to proc First Strike. This differs slightly from the regular Aery setup where we want to auto -> E ourself while our auto is still middair travelling towards enemy -> W enemy -> bubble/ult or let the bounceback heal retaliate enemy dmg. Instead, we want to W -> E ourselves while W is still middair travelling towards the enemy -> auto -> disengage with bounceback heal or bubble/ult

2.1. Jack of All Trades

Supports are actually able to utilise the new Jack of All Trades rune surprisingly well. Our support item alone already covers 3 of the 10 stats required. Here are the list of stats that we will generally be able to obtain on supports: - AP - HP - Health Regen - Mana Regen - Haste - Movespeed - %Movespeed - Heal/Shield Power - Armor - Magic Resist - Mana (?) - Magic Pen (?)
In order to get these stats, we will need our support item which gives HP, health regen, and mana regen. Most items will cover the haste component. Boots for the movespeed stat. Ardent will give us the %movespeed as well as heal/shield power. But if we don't need Ardent, then we can split this into any other heal/shield power item + Shurelya's. Armor + magic resist can be optained from Locket or Wardstone. Alternatively, if we don't need armor + magic resist, we can instead trade these stats for magic pen + mana instead (will also explain this in further detail below)
As you can see, the items required for Jack are situational items. It is important to identify during champ select if said items, particularly Ardent/Shurelya's + Locket/Wardstone, will be built for this game. Altho, these items will be applicable in most situations anyway
If u don't need these items for that particular game, or if u don't feel like u'll be able to reach all these stats for whatever reason, then Cosmic Insight is always a great staple. Lower summ cds for lower Flash and Heal cds, notoriously long-cd spells, as well as item haste. Item haste works on non-active item cds such as Dream MakeCelestial/Solstice/Zaz'Zak's cds, Mandate mark cds, as well as lowering trinket cd etc.

3. ITEMS

TLDR (for this section): - Skip paragraphs to see builds under their respective subheadings (4.1. Defensive Build and 4.2. AP Build) below - Each individual dot point reperesents one individual item slot
Alright, now that all the theory work is out of the way, we can finally move onto the specific build (what everyone is here for). There are two main builds to go about this. Each individual dot point reperesents one individual item slot:

3.1. Defensive Build

This build is run in situations where u need the defensive stats from Locket or Wardstone vs harder comps or matchups, with Locket being particularly good vs AoE and/or burst dmg. This build will also cover all the stats from Jack of All Trades (see list from previous section)
Ardent is the most efficient item for Jack due to it providing mana regen, heal/shield power, and %movespeed, all in one item. This will free up an extra item slot where we can buy a situational item, like antiheal, or if it's not needed then Dark Seal into Mejai's is always a great alternative for cheap AP (Nami has good AP ratios), or any other alternative item that u may need
However, it may not always be an Ardent game. In situations where it isn't an Ardent game (non-autoattack-reliant comps), u will need to split the %movespeed and heal/shield power stats into 2 separate items. Typically, Shurelya's + any other Forbidden Idol item will cover this. You can also go for any other item that gives %movespeed, but I find Shurelya's the most consistent. The main downside is ofc, the build being quite rigid if u go for this option (no room for antiheal or other situational items)
Also smth handy to note regarding Helia, the dmg portion of Helia does indeed proc First Strike!

3.2. AP Build

This is a more AP-focused build in situations where u don't need to be so defensive. We omitted the armor and magic resist from Locket/Wardstone for mana (Archangel's) and magic pen (Sorc Shoes). Nami E on allies uses her own magic pen, hence Sorc Shoes here

4. RUNES

TLDR:
The more specifics to optimise ur runes to their respective builds:

4.1. Runes for Defensive Build

Omitted free boots for Cash Back. Since this is for the defensive build, we will need to rush Lucidity boots vs hard matchups. Not only are Lucidity boots a cheaper option so it gives a faster spike in movespeed vs skillshot-heavy lanes, the lower Flash cd will be good vs engage lanes. Jack vs Cosmic has been explained in previous sections
Manaflow + Transcendence is default. For in-depth explanation:
Manaflow is essential for defensive build. Only go Absolute Focus in situations where enemies lack poke, allowing u to maintain the HP threshold for the AP. Transcendence is a good default, when unsure u can always default to this due to Nami's long cds. Pair both these with double adaptive minor shards option. Celerity if u need the movespeed vs heavy-skillshot comps (pair this with the 2% movespeed minor shard option)
I personally don't recommend Scorch with the First Strike setup due to the scaling nature of this build. However, Scorch is typically good with early-game ADCs or matchups where u have early pressure. Scorch also barely adds any bonuses to First Strike, especially as the game progresses. Avoid Scorch if enemies have sustain, as they can easily outheal or outshield that bit of Scorch dmg. When unsure, or in any other situation, go Gathering Storm

4.2. Runes for AP Build

Due to the more expensive nature and higher scaling potential of this build, go free boots so that u can focus on rushing items. Since we go Archangel's with this build, we won't need Manaflow. For maximum scaling, I recommend Absolute Focus + Gathering Storm (also the greediest option). Otherwise, Transcendence as explained prior

5. Core Mechanics of Nami W

TLDR (for this section): - More than 100AP -> subsequent bounces heal/dmg MORE - Less than 100AP -> subsequent bounces heal/dmg LESS - W has slightly longer range when self-cast
Smth absolutely crucial to these First Strike builds, as well as any other AP Nami builds, is understanding her W bounce mechanic. I often get asked why AP Nami, so I will just include this section here as well. For the fellow fishies who already about this, please feel free to skip this section
The reason why AP Nami is a thing is bc of the way her W scaling works to begin with. We unironically heal more with AP builds than enchanter builds. Allow me to explain:
Patch 14.6: 'The damage and healing value is modified by *-15% (+7.5% per 100AP)** each bounce.'*
Patch 14.7: 'The damage and healing value is modified by *-10% (+10% per 100AP)** each bounce.'*
Before I explain how to get crazy heal/dmg numbers on Nami's W bounces, I first need to explain her unique scaling on W. Unlike most other enchanters who benefit from heal/shield power, Nami's W has a unique scaling where subsequent bounces become weaker pre-100AP, and become stronger post-100AP. This threshold was at 200AP before the most recent changes on her, so they buffed it significantly by lowering the threshold down to only requiring 100AP instead of 200, making AP builds even more potent now in terms of healing and dmg. As such, Nami benefits more from stacking AP than heal/shield power
To give some perspective, previously if I had 200AP my W bounces would be equally as strong as each subsequent bounce. However, with these changes, with 200AP our W is now amped by 10%, and will continue amping by 10% for every 100AP. Getting 400AP on AP Nami builds is very doable with the right setup, buffing our subsequent bounces by 30% per bounce. This means our second bounce will be 30% stronger than the first, and our third bounce will be 60% stronger than the first bounce, which does not need further explaining as to why this is absolutely obnoxious when it comes to dmg and healing values
These changes also mean that a lot of Nami players will need to learn to prioritise their bounces according to what they need. Before, some enchanter builds struggled to reach the 200AP threshold, so we could just autopilot the first bounce without giving it much thought. Now, bounce prioritisation will actually become a prominent part of her kit
To explain how to alternate W effectively with an example, if my primary target (the one I want to dmg/heal the most) is A and my secondary target (less priority target) is B, then I will alternate my W bounces as follows:
And ofc, if u have Mandate then make sure to use E before W to ensure ur W bounces do even more dmg and proc Mandate c:

5.1. Did You Know?

If you hover over Nami's W, you may notice multiple rings. The outer ring indicates Nami's W range when self-cast, meaning that the ability has a slightly longer range when you cast it on yourself bouncing towards an enemy (25 more range) rather than casting it on an ally to bounce or straight onto an enemy. So if u ever need to W urself first, or need just a bit of extra range, make sure to utilise this. To execute this most effectively, I recommend using alt+W for self-cast

6. Final Words

I really hope this helps out some fellow supports. This build can be a bit difficult to grasp at first, and will take some time to learn and get used to. But always rmb that when unsure u can always go back to Aery as it will always remain the most consistent option overall
I'm also aware that First Strike is being nerfed next patch from 15g -> 10g. Personally, I think it could still be situationally good. Also, I apologise for any typos that may have been made, as the post was quite lengthy and was done on phone (so I may have missed some typos while proofreading) 😭😭
This is also my first time making a post to this this degree of length and detail, so if there are any formatting errors or discomforts, please feel free to leave feedback below for me to improve on! For those who stayed til the end, I genuinely want to thank u and appreciate ur time and support 🥺🩷🩷
