So basically I've been trying to get context on the situation for a little while. Pretty much everyone in my life makes me feel like I'm screwed . Therapists included. I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense. I've very confused and disoriented right now. Every one makes me feel like I'm beyond help.
So on Valentine's Day, my roommate overdosed and died. We were Incredibly Close and I would consider him my first love. The relationship had ended because I watched him overdose three times before I had to move out. I had known him for 7 years and he was absolutely my best friend and was encouraging, patient, helped me pursue my dreams.
For five of the years that I had known my roommate I was also dating my ex on and off. He admits to love bombing me in the beginning. Usually you would break up with me and it would be really messy. He would just absolutely like verbally trash me in long text messages. I used to engage in trash and back but eventually I realized that it wasn't hurting or doing anything to him . He himself mentioned that he blocked everything out that I said during those times . But I remember everything. if I blocked him he would make other accounts or he would call like a hundred times. But you would always come back a few months later after dating someone else.
For 5 years it was this on and off weird relationship that even my roommate would get annoyed by. My ex would come back swooping in saying I've changed I'm a better man blah blah.
So for about 2 years we felt pretty solid but something wasn't right for me. When my roommate overdosed the second time I had to move out of my apartment very quickly. I ended up living closer to my ex and we had sex for the first time in 5 years. And then on Valentine's Day my roommate actually passed away. I found out because he wasn't responding to me so I called a wellness check and my ex ended up driving me halfway to the place I used to live to check up on him before I got the call from the ME. There was a lot of wailing and vomiting on the car ride home I don't think I've ever been so upset.
About 2 months ago I opened up to my ex about some kind of crappy things that I reminded to me early on in our friendship. He was pretty pissed at me for it and he also kept telling me that my roommate was going to hell. I established that I don't like when he says that and that it's not helpful because I did love my roommate.
Anyways he just kept saying it several times throughout the end times of our relationship. And then during the time he also decided that he was moving across the country to live back in with his parents. He at first didn't want to tell me because he felt like I was already dealing with too much crap. They had been really inconsistent with me and was acting weird. And at first he wanted me to move with him but then he just wanted a fresh start because he didn't want to be with someone who he treated poorly. So there was lot of back and forth and we kind of randomly got into it about a week ago. I'm not even sure what caused it he was still telling me he loves me and that he thinks I'm beautiful and flirting with me complimented me blah blah blah but then he just like dipped out when I mentioned that I'm not sure we should see each other anymore. Because the last plan that we had decided on was that we were going to at least hang out together and he was going to come with me to an event that I bought tickets for- because he felt like he owed me that. But again he was like I'm so unfulfilled and I don't think we should see eachother.
Anyways I just immediately blocked him on everything including phone Snapchat venmo. I wanted nothing to do with him because the event was very special to me and he knew that.
So about an hour ago, he leaves that I've been wanting for a little while at my door along with a "extra special thank you note" that says " I saw this and thought of you. Thank you for being exactly what I needed at a time where I needed you the most thank you for always having my back supporting me and my dreams and encouraging me to grow. I'm sorry I couldn't be the man you deserved but just know that I'll always love you and I'll never forget you. I know you're destined to do amazing things in Brightn the lives of countless people. But most importantly thanks for being my best friend"
Okay so like what is this bs? This is a very condensed version of everything

I will preface this by saying that I have not played the games. This is just my perspective after finishing the tv show, which I still really like. It’s also been forever since I watched it so.
So, in the world of The Last Of Us, one of the big background elements in the setting is the conflict between FEDRA, the remnant of the government currently in charge of the different safe zones throughout the country, and the guerilla resistance group known as the fireflies, who believe that FEDRA is a tyrannical dictatorship using safety as an excuse to stomp on liberty.
The show makes its a point to portray the conflict in a more morally grey light, what with the fireflies kidnapping Ellie and FEDRA holding executions and keeping people inside the safe zones by force.
Throughout the series, we keep hearing from other characters about how FEDRA is a military dictatorship, or how it’s run by fascists or blah blah blah, but we never actually see them do anything that isn’t either understandable if not justified.
In the first episode, we see the safe zone as a controlling but not necessarily tyrannical place. Yes, people are assigned jobs and there are public hangings and such, but overall nothing too out of place or dystopian for a post apocalyptic refuge. The only really morally ambiguous actions by them in that episode were when Tess was detained during a shootout between Fireflies and FEDRA (one that was started by a firefly on a roof taking potshots might I add), and they eventually let her go after realizing she isn’t a firefly and the guard buying drugs from Joel, but the dude was corrupt so of course he’d be morally fucked.
Besides that beginning episode, and the Kansas City arc (which I will get to later), they never actually do anything at all unless you count the stuff that the regular government did during the outbreak like shooting survivors when they ran out of room in safe zones, or that one soldier who shot Joel’s kid, though of course that was before FEDRA.
Then we get to the rebel groups, most notably the fireflies and the Kansas City rebels. Boy do I have a lot to say about these ones. For starters, Marlene is the biggest hypocrite on the planet, explaining to her plucky freedom fighters that they are fighting to take down an authoritarian government that puts down dissent, whilst simultaneously ordering them to follow her every order and not to question her at all. You also tend to notice how quick to violence they are at every possible encounter. An example of this was in the final episode, when they saw Joel and Ellie just walking through an abandoned camp, they immediately resort to throwing a smoke grenade and knocking them out with the butt of their guns without even bothering to just ask who they are, and why they were there. Whether or not you believe they would be able to get the cure from killing Ellie, outright assaulting the first people you see does fuckall to make you look like anything but bandits.
Backtracking earlier in the series, we see the Kansas City rebels, who are 10 times worse. (Side note: i think people said that the show mentioned the FEDRA at Kansas City was full of rapists and tyrants but I don’t remember that being mentioned in the show). They act less like freedom fighting anti authoritarian rebels and more like deranged psychopaths who start Joel and Ellie on sight and then assuming they were FEDRA just because they fought back in self defense, and their leader tells a bunch of imprisoned “collaborators” that they will get a fair trial…before exiting the room and promptly ordering her guys to kill them all.
You’d think that, with how screwed up the rebel factions act, the show would try to give us a good view at the atrocities FEDRA did, to atleast give a better understanding of why FEDRA is seen so poorly, but no they barely do anything at all in the series as explained earlier. Yet a whole bunch of characters keep telling us that FEDRA is a big bad dictatorship, with one character even saying “maybe the government are Nazis now but not before” when responding to his conspiracy theorist prepped lover, or Ellie’s friend trying to tell her that FEDRA is a military dictatorship, which is repeated by several characters.
It feels a lot like an instance of “show, don’t tell” where we aren’t shown any truly irredeemable or evil parts of FEDRA whilst the rebel groups are portrayed as violent terrorists, yet the show is trying to get us to believe it’s a morally grey conflict.
TLDR: The Last Of Us Show tries to make a morally grey conflict between FEDRA and the Fireflies and other rebel group, but fails to communicate what makes FEDRA morally grey and not just slightly flawed, while making the rebels look like ISIS on steroids.

It's been about 1.5 years since I broke up with him after a relationship of 4.5 years. I broke up with him because of long distance, financial stress, work pressure, and the feeling that he wasn't going to take the relationship to the next level (introduce me to his parents). There were also a few incidents where I didn't feel like he was standing up for me when his friends passed comments about me in my absence.
In addition, I had been feeling like I wasn't into sex during the relationship, so I needed to visit doctors and figure this out for myself. I had some trauma during my childhood.
Recently, my life has improved in all aspects, both financially and work-related, and I've been feeling like I'm capable enough to be in a relationship. In the meantime, my ex has been trying to get back with me. I constantly pushed back and asked him to be braver, stand up for me, and tell his family about me. I got to know that he confronted one of his friends about a lewd comment made about me and wanted to get back with him because, well, I love him. I just needed him to be better for us to take the relationship to the next level. But he said confrontation is not his style, and he tries to avoid such people.
Anyway, I followed up with him for a month that we should get back together. He constantly pushed back, saying he needs time. It's been about a year since breakup at that time. So I said, I'll try to move on from this as I got to know he's with another girl then.
I tried to start a relationship with an amazing person who is a good friend of mine, but it turns out that I'm just so used to my ex as a form of a partner. In the meantime, my ex kept pinging me once every two months, and I maintained full transparency with this new person, but it also created significant doubts in my mind about continuing the current relationship. Eventually, I ended things with this new person due to this and several other reasons.
Now, I pinged my ex back and told him that we need to get back together or he should just stop messaging me. It's like I can't imagine my life without him. I have introduced him to friends, and family, everything. I don't know if there's any escape from this. Now he's been delaying taking any decision for about a month now.
I just feel very exhausted by all this, and all the things from the day of the breakup keep running through my head. Why did I breakup with him? Can I ever move on? What if he decides no, what to do if he says he doesn't want me. What if he treats me badly because I hurt him by breaking up
Is there any end to all of this misery?

It if my belief that the hardest liberal ideal to uphold is not property rights or free-markets but pluralism. This is because the instinct to demonize and distance oneself from one's enemies is overwhelmingly strong, driven by pride, fear, anger, and disgust. But we should stand against these impulses, for the very core of democracy relies on people and groups of different to engage and hash out a plan for the future. With that in mind, I would like to make a case that one of the most powerful and useful things a principles neoliberal can do is bridge build.

What is Bridge Building?

Bridge-building is not rigorously defined because it's pretty new, but it comes from very old human instincts: curiosity and a desire for authentic connection.
Curiosity is not just a desire for knowledge, but a desire to expand one's view of the world and a practice of being an ever-enthusiastic learner. Curiosity does not have to be about facts but also about new experiences and ways of thinking. To be curious about a person is not necessarily wanting to know their social security number, but how they came to where they are in life and how they see the world. Curiosity is not just touching grass, but appreciating the park's beauty. If I were not curious, I would likely have noped out of this subreddit based on the name alone. But because I was, I read the sidebar.
It is my belief that people have an innate desire to be heard, to be seen and respected. And although it is diminished as of late, people also have the capacity to truly connect to others on a deeper-than-superficial level. This is hard online, but much easier in the real world. This desire and capacity for connection can help people overcome great differences and sprout the seeds of a great friendship.
Based on these two principles, Bridge-Building is a movement to ease polarization by connecting people of different backgrounds and groups together to foster greater understanding. The goal is not to reduce disagreement, but to make it more productive.

Why should Neoliberals Aim to Bridge Build?

Yeah, why should we? If we know best, why should we listen to those chumps? After all, I already have a name for everyone to right and left of me: wrong.
For one, do we really know best about everything? In the Socratic Dialogue Meno, Socrates and the politician Meno discuss the nature of virtue. During a debate on whether virtue can be taught, Meno asks Socrates this:

And how will you enquire, Socrates, into that which you do not know? What will you put forth as the subject of enquiry? And if you find what you want, how will you ever know that this is the thing which you did not know?

Here in lies Meno's Paradox: how do you know if you need to learn? If you already have that knowledge, you do not need to look any longer. And if you don't, then you have no idea what you're searching for. Socrates uses the idea of inbuilt knowledge as his answer, but I have another one which may strike more directly to the interests of liberals: simply assume that your knowledge is incomplete, and seek a more complete picture. Given all the knowledge in the world out there and all the things have yet to be discovered, it is unlikely that you or any other person has the complete picture on even a single issue.
But even if we do not know everything, if there value in learning from those of different views of us? I say that there is, and I will use another famous parable, this time from Buddhism, to illustrate my point. In this story, a kind invites a group of blind men to experience something that they have never encountered before: an elephant. When each blind man has felt a part of the creature, the king asks them to describe what they are touching. The man touching the foot says that the thing is a pillar, the man touching the trunk says it is a plow, the man touching the tip of the tail says a brush, and so on. The blind men cannot agree on what they are all touching, and so start an ancient version of a flamewar which entertains the king. In this story, the elephant is "The Truth", if such a thing exists. Although we all come in contact with the truth and with reality, we each come at it at different angles, like how the blind men are touching different parts. This means that while our individual perspectives are incomplete, they can be put together as a much more complete picture. People who remember the "wisdom" of the crowds should also recognize the powerful insights that can come from non-experts, especially as a group. Neoliberals who aspire to be "evidence-based" should not just gather evidence from different sources, but learn about different ways of thinking from others, or else they would be like one blind man squeezing the elephant's gonads really hard and thinking he's touching a balloon.
Hoewver, there are a lot of people who will reply to this very post and say, "isn't it dangerous to engage with certain people? What about those who are too stupid and hateful to learn?". Firstly, you should never bridge build if you feel unsafe. However, feeling unsafe is not the same as feeling uncomfortable, and discomfort may help you shake out of old patterns. Secondly, the foremost goal of substantive discussion is not to teach but to learn: even if the other party is too stupid to learn, if you are able to listen and learn you will have gained from the conversation. This may not always work out, but I promise you that when it does the effect is magical.

How do you Bridge Build?

This is the hard part. I haven't fully figured it out myself, but I have some pointers:

1. Be patient. People, especially people on the internet, are no the most eloquent speakers. Struggling to find the right words or having incorrect grammar and spelling should not be taken as signs of being dumb babies not worth talking to. Additionally, try not assume all of what people are based on snippets of information.
   
2. Be polite. Avoiding infamatory remarks ("You can't even read a supply and demand graph") and ambiguous slogans ("From the river to the sea, drugs will be free!") and try to keep the focus on the issues instead of the other person (or what you assume of the other person).
   

3.Stand up for your beliefs. Common ground is only real if it is earned. Be upfront about what you believe and how you came to believe those things. Anything else would be a disservice to the other party.

1. Follow your curiosity. Try to ask questions in good faith instead of as traps (although I admit I do this a lot). Who knows where the inquiry will go?

But if that's too hard or ambiguous, there's a lot of help out there. Here are some organizations and projects that specialize in bridge-building:
Braver Angels: They host workshops, debates, and other events for bridging divides. I also like their A Braver Way Podcast. They also happen to be associated with one American Purpose Magazine.
One Small Step by StoryCorps: If you sign up, they may match you with someone they think you will have a fruitful conversation with.
National Institue for Civil Discourse: Come on, one of the founding Co-Chairs was Bill Clinton, and a former board member was H.W. Bush.
There are many more, so feel free to search for yourself. So, why not try building some bridges? They're an important piece of infrastructure.

Back in 2016 I saw a flying saucer hovering over Shriever Air Force Base in Colorado Springs. It got “chased away” by 2 f-15s and it was clearly playing with the f-15s(identifiable by double engines afterburners). Based on the response of the jets I’m quite sure the flying saucer is not American.
A few things that stand out:
it can move down just as fast as it can move up or sideways. It can pull perfect 30 degree turns without slowing down(sharp angles). It is extremely stable and doesn’t tilt despite flying at varying angles and speeds. It didn’t gain speed after starting from a hovering position. It just flew at a speed greater than the f-15s were capable of from the start. It changed color multiple times(the entire craft) while hovering in a standstill position. There is no exhaust plume(the f-15s were showing a giant flame which I assumed were the jets in full afterburner) or smoke from the exhaust. It made the jets look like toys both literally and figuratively(due to size, speed and maneuverability). It didn’t really get chased away as the saucer went back to the original point, north, east, south(and down), then back towards the north. There’s no way an American missile would be able to hit it.
Whenever I watch ufo videos on here I can’t help but think how fake many of the videos appear or that people are putting too much emphasis on the things that should show the flying saucer is fake.
I have seen a flying saucer 2 other times. Once while praying at the gym(asking G*d to give me strength to lift a new set), the other time after Kanye posted the swastika symbol inside of the Star of David and I went to a local lake to pray.

To understand him, you first have to understand the lore of this version of HS. Basically headspace is a manifestation of people's dreams, But it's connected. Just some people [like sunny] Have more influence than others. Just to confirm, omori/バフォメット/gabriel stand in Isn't human and is some psychic entity With a lot of influence on headspace. Also, he speaks in the third person! HS BASIL, The only remnant of "old headspace". Basically, old headspace was the generation before the one we're currently on (Think of if The Basil and the base game understood what happened in the headspace before the one we play in). This also works 'cause he's kind of our stand in for Noah (yknow in interlude where Noah avoids Gabriel's message, And accepted the first alternate on the arch? here, He kinda became more aware That he was in headspace and refused OMORI, So he had to accept a photo of the first something.) HERO: Although he's not very important in himself, He is lynched to the more important characters. Pretty obvious he's the stand in for mark. MARI: Not actually human (a something, But she gained compassion from the friend to group, and eventually put up a little plan to stop whatever OMORI/バフォメット is up to) and MMMIGGGGHHHHTTTTT have killed the real baby mari. She is the stand in for both Caesar and the intruder. SUNNY: Basically, after the MARI and HERO case, hero [oofed] himself, and MARI " Disappeared". Eventually, when he got old enough, he joined the hooligans [and got KEL to join!].... But left it after the events of VOL 2. Of course, he's the stand in for adam, And don't ask how he basically aggressively took over the hooligans and turned them into a Entire group instead of just some friends. KEL: Still, very good at heart, Just turned a little aggressive because he's frustrated that SUNNY Has a complete lack of fear [he just cares!] Also, unlike the person he's standing in, Jonah, He's actually alive! But tormented by HEROs alternate. There are more characters, but they haven't appeared yet.

Sooo let me start by describing myself. I’m a tall, musculaaverage body guy. I’m blonde, not extremely masculine but also not feminine. I’m just there haha. I am aware i am a complicated person, im very high maintenance. But i am also very upfront about it. Talking about apps like grindr. I hate being called bro, dude, man…or anything in between. Why? cause i’ve been called a f**got since i was 5 years old. Way before I even knew i was gay. Whenever I am with someone I want them to treat me with respect, with manners, have a regular conversation. I can’t deal with the (yo sup?) messages. They infuriate me lmao. I am aware so many guys like the idea of “bros” turning into something else but not everyone. For so long I thought i was not attractive, but little did i realize i was just listening to the wrong people. I’m am pretty good looking. I know this will shake up some people in the comments about how heart is better than looks which is right! But come on who doesn’t like a nice looking person? My question is am i the problem in grindr? i’m always super respectful, if we’re not a match i say so, im polite, i answer every single message even if i don’t like them, i just tell them the truth, no one’s confidence is damaged by me, im just doing my own thing. But why is it so hard to have a regular conversation, talk to each other before having sex? Something I have to do every day is start my morning with a moment of reflection and positivity. Whether it's a beautiful good morning Sunday, filled with calm and serenity, or a vibrant Tuesday morning, I find that greeting the day with a positive mindset sets the tone for everything that follows. On Sundays, I might enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a walk in the park, soaking in the peacefulness of the morning. As the week progresses, my routine might include browsing for Tuesday morning greetings to send to friends, sharing a little cheer to brighten their day.
By the time Friday rolls around, I often look for good morning Friday quotes that capture the excitement of the approaching weekend. These quotes not only uplift my spirits but also remind me to appreciate the small joys and accomplishments of the week. This daily ritual of finding and sharing positive messages, whether it's a beautiful good morning Sunday moment, a cheerful Tuesday morning greeting, or an inspiring good morning Friday quote, helps me maintain a balanced and optimistic outlook.

I tend to feel delayed grief consistently. I just left somewhat of an abusive relationship yes I was hit, threatened and tormented and spoken down on consistently but no he never left significant marks. Just hurt me just enough to scare me and make me cry then yell at me for crying… idk whatever. Point is it’s 1 am now, 2 weeks of no contact finally passed he’s finally given up calling and messaging me and threatening me from every single social app he knows and he can’t reach me anymore and have changed my number.
If it was so bad why do I miss him so much and literally feel this way now… I know the entire last few months with him I was miserable and kept telling him things like about how sad I was and how he just kept being a monster. The final straw was when he referred to his own mother as “this lady” and started calling her nasty names as he does to me bc she made him food but he didn’t like the smell of it and got mad bc she told him to eat some. Referred to her as “this stupid lady”. I called him out as I always do bc seeing that is disgusting especially as he’s a freaking felon I remind him his mother doesn’t owe him food at his grown age of 28 and to make his own food next time to avoid that issue. and that when he got out of jail she could have changed the locks and not let him live there rent free while he treated her terribly… so ofc instead of acknowledging it like he never does he brings up the one and only time I ever messed up 5 years ago (before we even started dating and we’re only talking but that’s an even longer story).
I feel like throwing up and I know going back in just disrespecting myself and feeling down again. I know I’d feel sad with him and just as sad now without him. I know I need to love myself but he really took me down thru the mud and I just go thru the days now like a zombie just trying to get to the next day. He never did anything for me he was never thoughtful or kind and never reciprocated then tormented me and made me suffer and he enjoyed it. Then apologize and make up. I’ve heard that’s the tactic these kind of people use, torment u then remedy it even tho the torment was never necessary in the first place. I was disrespected consistently thru phone text in person in my car in my own home… all while he got everything he wanted from me. Why was I so desperate to please him.
Now I find myself trying to latch onto any other person I meet. I met someone last week and kissed him and feel disgusting. I feel lost and I haven’t cried these past 2 weeks but today it’s really hitting me hard. I don’t have anyone to talk to and I just want this to pass so badly. Just venting. I haven’t eaten and am becoming addicted to how I look now just skinny and tired like a corpse. I sleep probably 3 hours at most and stay up the majority of the night until the morning and even when I can eat I. Just can’t ever finish anything - 3 bites and I’m nauseous. I regret kissing that person last week and initiating a sort of friendship bc now when their attention is not on me I feel extremely worse even tho I know they owe me nothing and know nothing about what I’m going thru. My home makes me feel sad I put everything he ever gave me ina closet today and the only way I can sort of see him is through his online store. And I feel horrible bc he use to updated his products everyday. Except maybe something happened to him or he’s sad too bc he hasn’t updated it in 5 days. I need to get rid of that app too it’s what’s hurting me most today that I can’t fully let go.
I thought we’d have children together and get married he is genuinely my other half but why does it feel so wrong leaving him when he hurt me so much. Loyalty wasn’t an issue it was EVERUTHING else. Here I have included my pre-draft, post-draft, and fantasy football WR evaluations (shortened for brevity). This is regarding real life skillsets and performance, and the fantasy football ranking is for redraft. I believe that the IRL evaluation is good enough for dynasty as well, even when skillsets don't match fantasy productive ones.
Pre-Draft Rankings:
Tier 1:
These are all players who I don’t want to delve into. They are the safe, elite prospects who don’t have any red flags, which is what differentiates them from the tier below.

1. Marvin Harrison Jr.
2. Malik Nabers
3. Rome Odunze

Tier 2:
Each of the three players in this tier are elite, but have one or several red flags and uncertainty to their game.

1. Troy Franklin
   1. Troy Franklin is a smooth route runner with great deep speed (moves like Ridley), but what truly makes him elite is his much underrated awareness. He has an impeccable feel for both zone and the defensive back’s mind, allowing him to slide into space and break out of the reach of corners, and he also holds an elite release package paired with great ball tracking. From what I’ve seen, Franklin is also the most willing and able blocker in this class. His biggest flaw to me is not his slight frame, but rather his lack of extension when going for catches, perhaps due to his small hands, which allows for random drops and makes him more susceptible to drops through contact.
2. Xavier Worthy
   1. While Worthy has risen in draft boards, the respect for him has fallen after his record breaking 40 yard dash. Worthy might have speed, but he is not all speed. Worthy has been an elite player his whole career, with an extremely early breakout and impressive freshman season. He is often dinged for his ball tracking, an important trait for deep threats, but I don’t see it. Worthy also offers elite YAC ability. He has the mental capability to be used as a consistent threat out of motion, as I don’t see him having the same release package as Franklin. The flaw with him is both being and playing small.
3. Brian Thomas Jr.
   1. BTJ is built in a prototypically phenomenal way. He possesses elite speed, size, and agility for that size – the makings of an elite receiver. He was also an elite producer in college. Thomas Jr. doesn’t necessarily show a lot of flaws in his game (aside from a few small things) – rather he doesn’t show a lot of anything at all. His flaw is that there is not enough information about his game out there to make the evaluation process thorough enough. Questions remain about his route tree and ability to play a variety of roles in an offense. At the very least, he steps into a team as an elite deep threat. In my opinion, Thomas Jr. offers a higher ceiling than Odunze, Worthy, and Franklin, but there’s just not enough for me to look at here.

Tier 3:
Tier 3 contains three players who show a lot of good things on film, but also have almost horrible production profiles.

1. Ladd McConkey
   1. McConkey reminds me of Christian Kirk stylistically. He possesses elite quickness and solid route running with very quick, twitchy steps. It is clear that he knows how to keep defensive backs guessing. I also noted that he shows strong YAC abilities and the willingness to seek out contact.
2. Adonai Mitchell
   1. He might have diabetes, and he might be lazy, but AD is smooth. I thought he’d run a 4.55, and at that point I had him at 6 I believe. AD has sneaky athleticism and deceptive quickness, and a very encouraging frame to pair with this. While I don’t see a lot of flaws in his game, I will say that he has one of the worst analytical profiles I have ever seen.
3. Roman Wilson
   1. Wilson is my favorite player in the draft, and I have been waiting for him to join the NFL for years. While I am not a Michigan fan, I have watched a lot of Michigan and Ohio State games, and fell in love with Wilson’s play. He is an elite athlete, with a willingness to go up strong for balls, and is simply just good at the game of football. I believe he would have shown a lot more if he was on a more passing oriented offense.

Tier 4:
Tier 4 has three players who are both older prospects and also have questionable production profiles.

1. Ricky Pearsall
   1. Slick Rick is definitely slick. He has arguably the greatest catch in CFB history, and is a silky route runner with great athleticism and burst. He seems to have a great understanding of how to run routes. Pearsall is a 5 season player, with non-elite production in any of those years – however he has shown improvement in every one of those years. He is not the tenth best receiver in this class right now – I only have him this low because of his age. However, I don’t think he has the production or the film to strongly suggest that he’s better than any of the players I listed before, which is why the age can lower him. Tank Dell was a 24 year old rookie, but his film would be enough for me to raise him higher.
2. Xavier Legette
   1. Legette has elite speed paired with elite size. I will not say he has elite athleticism however. His agility is not nearly good enough for me to give him that title. This is where I feel people tend to misterm athleticism – by equating it to a size/speed combo. Legette also only had one year of elite production. Legette is great at the catch point, with solid hand technique and vertical ability, but he leaves a lot to be desired with his release and his hip flexibility. He is not yet a strong route runner. I don’t really mind his late breakout too much – he has a lack of refinement in his game that would explain this as he is a growing player, but here’s some good scouting: what I truly can’t deal with is his accent.
3. Malik Washington
   1. Washington is another late producer like Legette, with only elite production in his 5th year. However, I believe that was due to him playing his time out in an awful Northwestern offense. Washington left Northwestern not through a transfer, but because he finished his degree early. He might be small, but he is incredible at football, and offers elite YAC ability to pair with his excellent feel for zones and space. The only reason I have Washington this low (although it is not low) is because I know he will be overlooked in the NFL and will have a difficult path to success.

Tier 5:
The players in this tier will likely all have a role in the NFL, or at least the chance to have a role in the NFL.

1. Ja’Lynn Polk
   1. Polk bores me a bit, but he’s good. I believe he is a useful asset to any team in the NFL. He plays with a lot of grit, which teams should like, and is all around a solid and smart player.
2. Malachi Corley
   1. The self proclaimed “YAC King” is exactly that. In fact, his YAC ability is so good that it’s almost as if he was a running back playing receiver. Oh right. He is. That being said, Corley has the agility to become a great receiver. While his switch is probably due to wanting the longevity and paycheck associated with the position, I don’t doubt that he has the ability to make up for his late start. He’s not really there yet, so his athleticism only gets him this high.
3. Keon Coleman
   1. Coleman is in the classic “Alpha” mold. If you’re wondering why he’s so low, I just don’t like that mold. I don’t care about his 40 time, he seems fast enough to me. In my opinion, Coleman does not have the agility and hip flexibility required to run great routes. That’s why I just don’t see him learning route running. He offers elite vertical leaping ability, body control, and good hands to match this, but he’s not Mike Evans. I don’t think Coleman has no path to success in the NFL – he’s still a decent player, just not my kind of player. The landing spot will matter with this one.
4. Jermaine Burton
   1. I don’t like Burton. There’s just something about his face – he looks like a less creepy Spencer Rattler. However, I’d say he’s a good player. He has solid athleticism, and I believe he has the ability to run a variety of routes, despite working in a vertical offense. Burton has great hands, albeit a short catch radius, and plays very strong. There’s definitely things to like about his game – and who knows, maybe being a bad character is a good trait.
5. Javon Baker
   1. Baker strikes me as someone who loves football, with an alpha receiver mentality. He might know too much – while he has great route running, he sometimes seems to almost spam fakes and make unnecessary movements that leave me confused instead of the corner. That’s not really a big concern for me though. He is great at the catch point as well, showing great determination and body control. I’m not sure he has the athleticism to truly be elite, and while the Big 12 is a decent conference, the defensive backs in his film seemed to be mostly bums, but with a good landing spot I think he has the ability to shine. I’m rather surprised that he decided to transfer out of Alabama, but whatever, it worked out.
6. Jalen McMillan
   1. The much underrated and overlooked third brother. McMillan looks soft, but he has good athleticism and good flexibility. He’s also a good route runner with good body control. I’d say he’s good. With players like him, it really depends on how much the team that drafted him believes in him. I don’t doubt that it will be easy for him to get hidden in a deep WR room.

Tier 6:
Tier 6 are the guys who I think are good players but don’t think they will get a chance to show that, with play strength and size being concerns. I think they can work despite this, but I doubt NFL front offices will.

1. Jamari Thrash
   1. Thrash is a smooth player with great route savviness, but is complete trash when it comes to contact (easy pun intended). Physical corners can easily thrash him around during his routes.
2. Jacob Cowing
   1. Cowing probably has the highest likelihood of success among the three, as he possesses the best release package which is important for small receivers. However, he’s no Tank Dell. In fact, he IS Tank Dell, just worse at every aspect of the game. He’s arguably more athletic however, and showcases elite explosiveness.
3. Ainias Smith
   1. Explosive with quick feet, but is small and plays small. I think he has a lot of ability, but he’s not the type of player that NFL teams want to trust.

Tier 7:
Tier 7 contains players who don’t have it right now, but could have it with some development.

1. Tez Walker
   1. There was a lot of hope for Tez coming into the 2023 season, and he delivered. Delivered very little. While he showcased absolutely zero route running savvy, he has the elite athleticism to make up for this, and is not completely inflexible. I do want to blame the college football body and UNC for some of his failures, and he wasn’t really all that bad. I just don’t think he’s quite there yet.
2. Luke McCaffrey
   1. McCaffrey has great athleticism and elite lineage, but that’s about it. He wasn’t bad in college, but played for Rice. He’s in the middle of his learning curve for the position after converting from being a mediocre QB, and I’m sure he can figure it out – I’m not out on him.
3. Johnny Wilson
   1. Wilson is absolutely incredible for his size. He is a fluid athlete with solid speed, and more than decent route running. Unfortunately, at his size he needs to be excellent at the catch point and with contested catches. He is not. In fact, it’s his weakness – he is extremely soft, unlike his hands. He’s the odd case where I think he’d be much more successful if he dropped half a foot in height. If you combined the best of Johnny and Keon, you’d have a possible goat receiver.

Tier 8:
Tier 8 has guys who piqued my interest with their play, but are likely going nowhere. Gould is small, Bub Means is named Bub Means, Vele is an old man, and Coker is slow and played for Holy Cross.

1. Anthony Gould
2. Bub Means
3. Devaughn Vele
4. Jalen Coker

Tier 9 is all of the guys I haven’t watched enough of that didn’t make this list due to that.
Tier 10 consists of the players who are, in my humble opinion, bad.
Tier 10:

1. Brenden Rice
   1. My evaluation of Rice has nothing to do with his father. I truly do believe that he is the second worst receiver in the class. In fact, I think he will obviously get a shot because of his father, and that he has the work ethic and connections to improve dramatically as a player. However, as of right now, while he has solid hands, he runs everything in one gear, and it’s visually appalling. He stomps the ground as he runs, and while it seems like he has some understanding of route running techniques, it all goes to waste since he runs his routes as hard as possible.
2. Cornelius Johnson
   1. As I said earlier in my Roman Wilson evaluation, I have watched a lot of Michigan games. This means I watched his counterpart on the other side – Corn Johnson. In all my years of watching football, I have never seen a player worse than Corn. He is truly awful at the game. He has absolutely zero ball knowledge and route running ability. He’s actually pretty decent at the catch point, but not enough to make up for his terrible play in every other facet of the game. He somehow had Harbaugh’s trust to keep starting, so I still wouldn’t be surprised if he was drafted, but whatever team makes that decision has completely wasted a pick they could’ve otherwise spent trading for McCorkle Jones or some other washed up player.

Post-Draft Rankings and Comments:
Contrary to popular opinion, I believe that situation is actually very important regarding a wide receiver's career. It is worth noting that I actually did my pre-draft ranking writeups after the draft despite wording them as though they were written pre-draft, therefore the adjustments here are not new revelations, rather they are simply the changes I believe draft capital and landing spot make.

1. Marvin Harrison Jr.
   1. Great landing spot, bad franchise
2. Malik Nabers
   1. Mediocre landing spot, bad franchise with bad assets but good volume. Will play alongside WanDale Robinson, a player who also generates elite separation.
3. Rome Odunze
   1. Landing spot is alright, the franchise is bad but the team is set up well. Will be the WR3 to start however, but that should not necessarily hinder his career.
4. Xavier Worthy
   1. Very good landing spot with the best quarterback in the league, and another field stretcher already on the roster, suggesting that he might run routes with some variety and improve his game. It is not a perfect system for production however.
5. Brian Thomas Jr.
   1. Attached to a good, young QB, who should help each other. Thomas Jr was clearly drafted to slot into the alpha role, with Kirk taking the slot and Davis stretching the field. At the very least, Thomas will also be an elite field stretcher, really opening up things for Kirk and Engram underneath, as well as opening the box for Etienne. The franchise does not have a great history with receivers.
6. Roman Wilson
   1. Excellent, phenomenal landing spot. Wilson lands in another run-heavy offense as the clear WR2, from a team and staff that has been historically great with evaluating and developing receiver talent.
7. Ladd McConkey
   1. McConkey is presumably the current or soon-to-be WR1 in LA. The landing spot is definitely good amidst a weak WR corps, although I’m not fully certain about his ability to be the Alpha. Perhaps they expect something out of QJ? Palmer is solid but not spectacular.
8. Ricky Pearsall
   1. For his age, the spot isn’t ideal, but the capital is great. Pearsall is definitely a good player, and if one of Deebo or Aiyuk is traded (likely Deebo) he comes into a great role. I’d call it a good landing spot.
9. Troy Franklin
   1. The capital is horrible, and I feel teams have made a huge mistake here. Franklin is too nice and genuine of a guy to have that ‘chip on his shoulder’ effect from his fall, but he will definitely take his role seriously. With his talent, I see him slotting in as the WR2 on this offense early, especially with the Nix connection, but he has to beat out Mims. For the capital, it was definitely the best landing spot he could have got with a team that really wants him.
10. Ja’Lynn Polk
    1. New England is historically awful at wide receiver evaluation, but Polk is solid and will come into a WR room with no alpha and a rookie QB. Pop Douglas is a good slot receiver, and Bourne is alright, but that’s about it. I believe they should play a Polk - Douglas - Baker line, but Bourne will likely be starting, which is understandable.
11. Adonai Mitchell
    1. Awful landing spot. The worst he could have hoped for. AD has that chip on his shoulder, but he comes in as the WR3 in a role that is likely mostly field stretching. If there was actually a lot for him to learn, then this landing spot subtly becomes very good.
12. Keon Coleman
    1. I would argue that this is the best landing spot for any player in the draft. The capital is excellent, and the fit is excellent. Keon might not get any separation, but Josh Allen is exactly brain dead enough to just chuck it to him anyways. Very few other quarterbacks would have the confidence in him to simply target him despite being draped, and Allen is a very good one, who might be forced to pass to him considering how weak the room is. I believe Shakir and Kincaid are decent, and that Samuel might be better than Coleman, but Allen and the team will likely treat Coleman like the alpha, and this will be reflected in his targets. It also helps that Coleman is a very likable character, which might offset his bad at football accusations with great production on poor efficiency.
13. Xavier Legette
    1. It’s a new front office in Carolina, but I don’t really trust the pick. It doesn’t help my concerns when you consider Legette is also from Carolina, which might bias the selection, especially when everyone knew he was going there but nobody cared enough to try to get him over Carolina. On the plus side, he went to the only place where people can understand him, and he fits the room well alongside Diontae Johnson. He’ll probably play in a role that doesn’t suit his skillset, but he can succeed here if Bryce steps it up with an improved line.
14. Malachi Corley
    1. Good landing spot as a YAC slot player, while living with Rodgers. Definitely intriguing, although the franchise is bad so his development might be minimal.
15. Jermaine Burton
    1. Good landing spot imo, with room to learn the position and role and then replace Tee Higgins. Still don’t like the guy.
16. Javon Baker
    1. Lands in an open room with alright capital. Is the WR4 already imo, with an opportunity to earn the alpha role if he’s up for it.
17. Luke McCaffrey
    1. Great capital for the level of play he’s shown. He definitely has a role as a starter intended, although I hope they took him due to athleticism and not name (3rd is too high for it to be name value).
18. Devontez Walker
    1. Good spot to learn and possibly start while getting no targets.
19. Malik Washington
    1. Bad landing spot, and bad draft capital. Washington is fantastic, but he’s old and behind two great receivers, not to mention OBJ being signed (which I imagine means he will play). Washington could have started in the slot, but now he will have to wait and earn a role.
20. Jalen McMillan
    1. He’s the WR3 in Tampa, but Godwin will likely take the slot, which means he might be the WR4 unless they play him on the outside.
21. Jacob Cowing
    1. Deep corps with Pearsall taken ahead of him, but a good place to grow.
22. Jamari Thrash
    1. He has one great receiver ahead of him, and two alright receivers that I don’t believe he has the quality to surpass, but I think he can gap Cedric Tillman. There’s probably not much hope here.
23. Ainias Smith
    1. Smith can beat out Parris Campbell for the slot role, and while he doesn’t strike me as a consistent player, he can still ‘thrive’ for meager numbers under a great corps.
24. Bub Means
    1. The WR3 in the room is open, and by all means the job is his to take (that pun was actually unintentional I swear I only noticed it after writing it).
25. Brenden Rice
    1. He might be horrible but the WR room is completely open, and his late draft capital might make Papa Jerry step in and give him some instruction in how to play the position. There’s probably some sort of upside here.
26. Johnny Wilson
    1. He could definitely beat out Devante Parker who has the exact opposite skillset as a fellow big receiver, but the slot is the role that is open outside of AJ Brown and Smitty. The volume is also going to be low.
27. Anthony Gould
    1. The Colts landing spot doesn’t suddenly look better. Obvious depth role with no hope of ever starting.
28. Devaughn Vele
    1. I could see Payton really liking him, and him earning time, but he’s 26. I believe in him though, despite this ranking.
29. Jalen Coker

I did say I’d email you if I think I’ve matured enough and this is what I’d like to say. Once again, I’m sorry for the way I was towards you. I wanted to be as honest as I can with you and your feelings of untrust towards me are valid. However I would like to be heard out.
I have been doing a lot better with my life. I’m no longer depressed. I have got myself into a very good routine and haven’t been worrying about things like I was. My Dad has been helping me a lot and I’m very grateful to him for it. I’ve organised a lot more for ****** and myself and I’m being far more adult like. I feel very secure and I am happy. I’m doing gardening too.
I felt very stressed messaging you everyday because I wanted a routine and the guilt and stress of all the arguments and abuse towards each other was too much for me. I wanted to be more adult like but I couldn't while we were messaging constantly. It was too intense for me. 6-8h a day is too much and although I did ask for space I was afraid to take it for incase you got mad or upset at me for it. I needed a mental restart.

I do want to have a proper relationship with you now that I’m a lot more secure in myself. You couldn’t make me happy because I had to be happy in myself first which I wasn’t. For context, we've been arguing for months since the start of her pregnancy. She came from an extremely abusive background and she lost a relative she was very close to like a mother to her which really depressed her and made her an anxious woman. She met me she said she loved me. We've been arguing back and forth for a few months now because I apparently always put her down (she was always putting me down). She wanted to keep our baby but I didn't. She admitted to me that she decided she wanted to be pregnant because she wanted to be happy. That and she had a go at me on an online account which she pretended to be someone else.
She said she wants to do the right thing and wants space from me to mature herself and work on being more like an adult. She wants to be secure in herself and not depressed anymore. Her family was trying to throw her out because they were all depressed, over minor things too. She says she's really sorry and that she does love me and is trying to improve herself.
For context, she's 20 and i'm 25. I'm her first everything. Part of me still loves her.
What should I do? Advice needed.

I love music, and I'd love to use it to make stressful moments less stressful and to help me focus on whatever I'm working on, but I get the opposite results.
When I'm trying to read for an exam or do some homework while listening to music, a lot of the songs I'm listening to, trigger some emotions or memories and I get absorbed. I have to stop whatever I'm doing, close my eyes and just enjoy the rest of the song until it's over. I can't focus while my mind is getting emotional and trying so hard to listen to the song. It's either, stop and enjoying it, or dont stop and ruin the enjoyment while also losing focus on your studies.
When I try to use it at work or in any other stressful environment, I feel like I ruin the songs. They do make the moment better, but then, the next time I listen to the song, I can only feel the stress of the last time i listened to them. I remember my problems at work, how annoying my boss is, or they simply make me feel uneasy and anxious. It's like whatever a song made me feel or remember was overwritten by that negative experience.
The way I enjoy music is when I listen to it as an activity. It could be at night when I'm relaxed before bed, at the park or when I'm taking a walk, when I want to share it with someone, to make a good moment even better, or maybe I'm feeling nostalgic or rememberd a song I like, so I put on my headphones, or turn on the speakers (when I'm alone cause I don't like when people interrupt it), I take a sit or lay in bed, if I plan on doing it for a while, I may grab some snacks or take a smoke, then I start listening music.
Maybe I'm too "sensitive" to music? Idk. I think I got it from my dad. A little story here. Back when he and my mom were dating, my dad asked her to meet up at her place to listen to music. My mom thought he meant they would play some music while chatting, or doing whatever, but my dad literally showed up with his collection of CDs and CD player. My mom tells me "I dont get it, he was just sitting there listening to music. That was all we did!" she's still confused to this day which is very funny, but I totally understand him.
It's guess it's kinda weird to be like this, but to me, working or studуing while listening to music is the weird thing. Does anyone else feel the same way? If you do, I'd like to know if you know a way to make it work.
