2024.05.26 07:31 Spaggis_Uberdork9169 Am I crazy or just old?

So, I'm a guy in my fifties, and I've been playing for a couple months now. I'm not a great player by any stretch, but I can hold my own fairly well (on lower levels). Because of the structure of the "goodies carrot," I'm having to up my game level up past my comfort zone. Because I want/need super samples, I have to play at lvl 7 or higher, which is fine.
What isn't "fine," in my opinion, is how the enemies seem to 1) materialize, seemingly out of nowhere, ESPECIALLY upon extraction, and 2) enemies aren't beholden to the same rules I and my fellow 'Divers have to follow. IE: they do not suffer from friendly fire.
Now, please tell me if they actually do, because that has not been my experience. In fact, my usual experience is getting surrounded by innumerable enemies, all firing God knows what manner of ordinance in my general direction, while the smaller, faster enemies surround me to make sure my demise is foregone. Now, tactically, this is a sound move, and bravo to the devs who made that a thing. However, boo hiss catcall to the folk who decided they should be able to put 4 Berserkers in the same 5 feet of area, and when they flail their chainsaw arms around in a "I'm going to turn you into cutlets" manner, *I'M* the only thing they're hitting.
I get the idea that there needs to be "challenge" and "game balance." However, wouldn't it make sense that anything - ANYTHING - between a Hulk and its target would get damaged?
I'm not trying to be a whining wuss or a traitor to Super Earth, but these are things that eat at me and reduce my "fun factor."
Otherwise, I'm loving this game. Any insight, from devs or highly experienced players is greatly welcome. Happy diving!

Is it just me or is fallout 1 overhyped?
I played through the game recently and it just felt bland as unlikely 2 there isn't really much of a goal outside of water broken need fix until you encounter the unity who are stupidly easy to "defeat"' ie talk down if you have any idea what your doing.

https://www.reddit.com/Paranormal/comments/1d0szwa/can_anyone_identify_this_possible_entity/
Can anyone identify this possible entity? Experience from an agnostic.May 26th 2024, 03:56, by NoRecommendation3097
I say "possible" because I still want to believe it was a normal experience, and I expect most of you will tag this as a non-paranormal event. I have an engineering and scientific background, and I am agnostic about entities, supernatural beings, or the existence of any God. This means I can't say if I believe or not. I used to be skeptical, but once I understood that some things science cannot and will never explain, I kept my mind open.
With that said, I hope you understand that I am here because I think I saw something abnormal (though I wish it wasn't). This happened just hours ago. I've asked my parents and close friends, but none can explain what I saw, and everyone remains skeptical.
I was driving at night to a town an hour away from Boston, in a rural area where streets and houses are far apart. It was very quiet, and most of the homes on the street had their lights on. I glanced at my phone for a second, and when I looked back at the road, I saw a white car on the right side with a girl in the back waving her phone with the flash on. I can imagine two reasons for this: one, she was alerting me not to drive over her and crash into her, and two, she was asking for help because her car was broken. The back of her car was open, and I don't think I was in any danger of crashing into her since I was driving at a normal speed and already on the other side of the street. She kept moving her hands with the flash of her phone even as I passed by her.
Everything seemed normal at this point. I felt guilty for not helping her, but I also felt a bit insecure. I wondered why she didn't ask for help at any nearby house, which seemed strange. I remember the girl being blonde, with short hair at arm's length, wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts. There was something odd though—half of one leg, up to her knee, was completely black. I thought it might be car grease, a boot, or something else, but it was only one leg.
Anyway, I didn't think much about it initially, but I felt guilty for not helping, so 1-2 minutes later, I decided to turn back (with some caution) to see if she needed help. When I returned to the spot where she had been, there was no one there—no car, no person. The most common explanation is that she left, but the whole thing just doesn't make sense. It was too quick for her to leave, and if her car was broken, she wouldn't have been able to leave so quickly. She seemed desperate for someone to stop. If her car wasn't actually broken, she might have just been alerting me not to crash into her, but as I mentioned, I wasn't in a position where that was a possibility.
This is the first time in my life I am considering that I might have seen an entity, and as I said, it's hard for me to believe in that kind of stuff. After this long story, my questions to you are: Do you think it was just a normal situation and, given my tiredness, I am misinterpreting everything? Or do you think I actually experienced something abnormal? If yes, what kind of experience was that, and why me?
Thanks for reading this. I appreciate any guidance.

Can a riser cable create driver timeout / system crashes / gpu underperformance?
Hi,
I recently bought a new PC from eBay with the following specs:
Case: Y40 Red CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D GPU: Powercolor Red Devil RX 7900XTX RAM: 32 GB Corsair Dominator 6000MHz Motherboard: MSI MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI Power Supply: Corsair 1000W
Issue:
I am having constant crashes just few seconds after starting any games and sometimes even when system is just idle. I tried reinstalling/upgrading/downgrading GPU drivers but to no avail.
Then I decided to open the case to see if there are any cables loose or anything hardware related. Everything is fine but I noticed that the riser cable is slightly lifted up on one of the sides. Upon closer inspection, I found that some pins of the riser cable from one of the sides have broken off from the pcb. It may have caused during shipping. I have included the images showing damaged riser cable.
But I am not sure if that could be the reason behind my constant driver timeout / system crashes / gpu underperformance since I got the PC.
Have any of you faced such issue before?
This is my first ever PC and I am a student so I am not just clueless but also worried about the fact if I received faulty PC or something. Please closely inspect the photos attached of the riser cable and give me suggestions. Let me know if you’d need any further information.

2024.05.26 07:18 LordDarthra Really didn't like this game the first time I played it. Now, I think I get it

I yohoho'd it 2-3 years ago. I remember trying to read the mildly useless tutorials in-game. Getting frustrated and reading a guide on how to start. Mining copper? Okay, did that for a bit, lured some starving guys for a bit and got bored.
Just bought it today on a whim because it just sounds like a game I would like and I wanted to give it another try, plus mod support is always great.
Anyway, started again in hub, got my ass handed to me a few times, almost lost an arm.
Made a bit of cash and found a crossbow and a bunch of bolts. Can't hit a thing for shite but that's okay. Make enough to recruit a basic Shek, Astrian or something.
Both get some heavy armor but notice it weighs us down big time. Get in a fight with some drunks and they end up dead thanks to the folks around us. They had some nice looking jackets and chain shirts. Iron hat, even a nodachi for my Shek, bit of an upgrade here.
Feeling good, go fight 3 starving bandits and get our asses kicked.
Don't know what to do, despair. Decide fuck it, gonna explore. Head south towards a bit of different colored area in the map. It's a swamp? Cool. Trade with the human at the store and keep going.
End up finding a waystation and a band of hostile sheks, bone something's. Lure them to the waystation to have a bloody brawl. Kind of figuring out how to kite 1v1 with crossbow. Sell all their shit, sleep in their camp and what's this? Training dummies? I train our melee skills from 2 to 12.
I head out and find a few starving bandits and we wipe the desert floor with them. Feeling okay now, able to somewhat defend ourselves. Find some animal traders in the road and buy a bone hound pup (not the first time I've seen them, but the first time Astrain saw one and didn't get mauled to almost death) and a pack bull pup.
And that's where I ended for tonight. There's a lot I left out from my adventure, but I gotta say, I get what it's about now.

2024.05.26 07:17 xExile99 Duped a sentinel ship on accident.

So I'm still new to the game but here's my story of my glitch/bug. My friend and I were playing 2 player and we both got the sentinel ship mini quest. We went through it just fine for the first time. The weird part is what happened next. Upon going back to switch ships I noticed I had two sentinels, one which I couldn't summon and my starter was gone. I unlocked my first freighter which spawned all my ships. One of the ships was a clone of the sentinel but it had 1 module and that was a rocket launcher. My starter ship was entirely gone though. I traded in my broken sentinel for a random ship that landed in my freighter. My friend then found my "broken" ship that an NPC was flying at the local space station where it was fully repaired for him and available for sale. It was now showing as a different model and upgrade to an A class. When I got there it was still broken and the same ship but it restarted the quest line for me in a different system. He bought the ship and disconnected. I know have the quest line with a new A class ship that I'm working on and he has a second sentinel ship.

2024.05.26 07:16 MikePallanti I hope this game has a long lifespan because it’s GREAT

Yes, I know I’ve complained about hit registration and desync. Yes, those are still an issue (although for some reason it felt way better today?). But man if this game isn’t FUN. Guns feel great, classes are mostly balanced, you don’t have Nicki Minaj, Cheech & Chong, and Grimace-looking things running around the map, it’s easy to spot enemies, and I enjoy the map flow. Ubisoft is doing a LOT right with this game. I just finished a 3-hour play session on PS5. I’m 38 and the last time I did that was Black Ops 2 on PS3. This is the shot in the arm the FPS genre needed.

Sleek and Sturdy Cyclace Exercise Bike for Indoor Fitness

As an avid indoor cyclist, I can attest to the comfort and convenience of this Exercise Bike. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and I'm genuinely impressed with the durability and design of this bike. There's an easy-to-use resistance system that provides a challenging workout, even for the most experienced riders. However, one drawback I've noticed is the seat's discomfort after prolonged use. A padded seat cover could remedy this issue, but it's worth considering before purchasing.
The electrodeless speed change feature is a game-changer, making it easy to customize your workout. The weighted flywheel and ultra-comfortable sport saddle also contribute to a smooth and enjoyable riding experience. Furthermore, the sleek design and LED display make this bike an attractive addition to any home gym.
Despite a few minor hiccups with the seat and assembly time, I would still recommend this Exercise Bike for anyone looking to maintain their fitness levels at home. With its adjustable resistance, solid construction, and stylish appearance, this bike is an excellent investment for your health and well-being.

Top-Rated Recumbent Exercise Bike for Home

I recently added the MaxKare Exercise Bike Stationary to my home gym, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my daily workout routine. As someone who values convenience and ease of use in my exercise equipment, I was pleasantly surprised by this recumbent bike's features and performance.
First and foremost, the ergonomic design of the seat and backrest are incredibly comfortable. The high-density sponge cushioning provides ample support for my lower back while also making it easy to maintain a proper riding position. Additionally, the adjustable lever allows me to customize the fit for my specific height, ensuring a smooth and efficient workout experience.
One of the standout features of this recumbent exercise bike is the iPad holder, which enables me to enjoy my favorite shows or music while I pedal away. This added entertainment factor not only keeps me motivated during workouts but also allows me to exercise longer without getting bored.
Another highlight of this product is its easy portability, thanks to the transportation wheels located at the front of the bike. Moving it from one room to another or storing it when not in use is a breeze, making it a versatile option for any living space.
The recumbent exercise bike also offers an 8-level magnetic resistance system, allowing me to customize my workout intensity as needed. The LCD monitor displays all my exercise metrics, including time, speed, distance, calories burned, and heart rate, making it easy to track my progress over time.
Performance-wise, this MaxKare Exercise Bike Stationary delivers a smooth and whisper-quiet riding experience, so I can exercise without disturbing others in my household. It's worth mentioning that the weight capacity of this bike is 300 LBS, making it suitable for a wide range of users.
While there's a lot to love about this recumbent exercise bike, there are a few minor drawbacks I've encountered. First, the seat could benefit from additional padding for optimal comfort during longer workout sessions. Additionally, the quality of the display could be improved, as some users have reported issues with clarity and visibility.
In conclusion, the MaxKare Exercise Bike Stationary has been an excellent addition to my home gym setup. Its comfortable design, customizable resistance levels, and easy portability make it a viable option for individuals looking to maintain an active lifestyle at home.

Mini Exercise Bike for Core Strengthening

I recently added the vidaXL Cardio Mini Cycle Exercise Bike to my daily routine, and I am genuinely impressed with its performance. This little exercise gem is perfect for those who are always on the go and don't have the time or space for traditional gym equipment.
One of the highlight features of this compact cycle is its multilevel resistance adjustments, allowing me to customize my workout sessions to be as intense or gentle as I need them to be. Whether I'm pedaling on the carpet or using it underneath my desk while working, it provides an effective way of keeping my muscles toned and my heart rate up.
The heavy-duty steel construction of the vidaXL Cardio Mini Cycle Exercise Bike ensures that it's built to last, which is essential when considering purchasing workout equipment. Additionally, its affordable price tag and ease of use make it a must-have for anyone looking to incorporate more fitness into their lives without breaking the bank.
However, there are a couple of cons worth mentioning. Firstly, the lack of a display can make it difficult to track progress and set goals during workouts. Secondly, the cycle tends to slip on some surfaces, requiring users to find creative solutions to keep it in place.
Overall, I am thrilled with my vidaXL Cardio Mini Cycle Exercise Bike purchase. Its compact size, customizable resistance, and durable construction make it a fantastic addition to any home workout routine. Despite the minor drawbacks, I would highly recommend this product to anyone seeking a convenient and effective way to stay active and improve their overall fitness.

Bladez Fitness Master GS Indoor Cycle Bike: Quiet, Smooth Cycling Experience

https://preview.redd.it/7v69zd4kep2d1.jpg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2912008d0e0372928ffc7bde95d5dc76d59c0bdb
I recently purchased the Bladez Fitness Master GS indoor cycle bike, and it's become a staple in my daily workout routine. What immediately stood out to me was how quiet and smooth it was, even during intense rides. The 44-pound flywheel and belt drive system make for a near silent ride that I can enjoy without disturbing anyone else in the house.
The adjustable resistance, micro-adjustable seat, and handlebars allow me to customize my ride to fit my needs perfectly. The padded foam seat and quiet operation make this a comfortable and enjoyable workout experience. However, the display quality could use some improvement, as it tends to go blank after about 30 seconds of inactivity.
Overall, I'm happy with the Bladez Fitness Master GS indoor cycle bike. The high-quality build and easy assembly make it a great choice for indoor cycling. The only real downside for me is the discomfort of the ultra-hard seat, but that's easily remedied with a cushier option. If you're looking for a quiet, smooth ride with customizable settings, this indoor cycle bike is definitely worth considering.

Yosuda Recumbent Exercise Bike for Home

https://preview.redd.it/cjzvs5ikep2d1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3cc776b43606360bb0f9c0af41f38b0200d9acb6
As a fitness enthusiast, I love the Yosuda Recumbent Exercise Bike for its comfortable design and smooth performance. The seat is spacious and cushioned, making it perfect for long workout sessions without causing strain on my back. The machine is also incredibly quiet, so I can watch TV or listen to music while I ride.
The 16-level resistance feature is quite impressive, offering a range of workout intensities to suit my fitness goals. It starts off gentle but can be adjusted to provide a challenging workout when needed. Assembly was a breeze with straightforward instructions that didn't take much time at all.
One issue I have noticed is the readability of the display panel under low light conditions. It would be great if the panel were brighter or had backlit buttons for easier viewing. Additionally, the resistance might feel too light for extremely fit individuals seeking a more intense workout.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Yosuda Recumbent Exercise Bike has been an enjoyable addition to my home workout routine. Its comfortable design, ease of use, and quiet operation make it a worthwhile investment for those looking to stay fit and healthy in the comfort of their own home.

Budget-Friendly Home Studio Bike with LED Lights for Compact Cardio Workouts

The Boom Bike has been an incredible addition to my home workout routine. It's like having a cardio party in my living room, with its unique LED lights that add color and excitement to each workout session. The interactive and motivational classes make me feel like I'm part of a larger fitness community, and the competitive aspect of being able to compete with friends and family adds an extra layer of fun to my workouts.
One of the standout features of the Boom Bike is its ease of use. The assembly process was straightforward, and the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. Additionally, the bike is sleek and compact, fitting perfectly in my small apartment without taking up too much space.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. The seat on the Boom Bike could be more comfortable, especially for longer rides. In order to alleviate this issue, I had to invest in a cushioned seat cover, which has made my workouts more enjoyable. Additionally, I wish there were more options for class durations, as the current 15 or 30-minute options don't always fit my schedule.
Despite these minor cons, the Boom Bike has been a fantastic addition to my fitness routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their home workout experience. The convenience of being able to work out from the comfort of my own home on my own schedule has been a game-changer, and the quality and variety of classes keep me motivated and engaged. Overall, the Boom Bike has exceeded my expectations and has become an essential part of my daily life.

I recently got my hands on the BodyCraft SPR Indoor Cycle, and I must say, it has been a game-changer for my indoor training sessions. This sturdy beauty offers 16 levels of resistance, making it incredibly versatile for all types of riders, from beginners to seasoned cyclists. What I love the most is its fully adjustable saddle and handlebars, which provide me with a comfortable and personalized fit every time I jump on for a ride.
The BodyCraft SPR Indoor Cycle has truly enhanced my home workout experience. Its smooth and silent belt drive system eliminates any distractions, letting me fully immerse myself in my training. Additionally, its innovative BODYCRAFT Eddy Current Technology ensures that the resistance remains consistent throughout each workout session.
One of the unique aspects of this indoor cycle is its interactive computer, which keeps me motivated and ensures that I'm consistently improving my fitness levels. The computer display provides valuable insights into distance traveled, calories burned, and more, helping me optimize my performance.
As someone who appreciates quality and durability, I'm thrilled to have discovered the BodyCraft SPR Indoor Cycle. Its robust construction and full commercial rating make it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to enhance their indoor workout routine. However, one downside I've noticed is that its heavyweight might be a concern for those with limited storage space.
Overall, the BodyCraft SPR Indoor Cycle has exceeded my expectations and has rapidly become a beloved member of my home gym. If you're in the market for a top-notch indoor cycle, I couldn't recommend this one enough!

Indoor Cycling Experience with NOHrD Bike

https://preview.redd.it/e496fwwlep2d1.jpg?width=1151&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7c1b1c3fe7f059496847a5f21a4b5fe3af87d8ed
As a dedicated cyclist, I have been using the beautiful and sleek NOHrD Bike Indoor Cycle Walnut for some time now, and I must say, it's truly a game-changer. The exquisite craftsmanship and solid construction make it a perfect fit for any studio or home gym.
One standout feature is the innovative planetary gearing system, which provides a smooth and seamless pedaling experience. Add to that the magnetic brake technology, and you have an indoor cycle with extraordinary durability. The infinitely variable resistance allows me to adjust the intensity of my workout on-the-fly, keeping me engaged and challenged during my cycling sessions.
The minimalist design of the NOHrD Bike is a major highlight for me. Its sleek and athletic appearance not only looks amazing but also contributes to its overall stability within a minimal amount of space. I also appreciate the easy-to-handle rubberized rollers, which make it a breeze to position and store the bike.
Incorporating the NOHrD Bike into my daily workout routine has been a fantastic decision. It provides a low-impact workout that's gentle on my joints while effectively engaging my quads, glutes, hamstrings, and calves. The ability to perform both upright and racing positions adds variety to my workout and keeps me motivated.
Utilizing the NOHrD Bike App has further enhanced my indoor cycling experience. With pre-designed workouts and performance data analysis, it's easy to plan and track my cycling progress. It also provides the added convenience of being compatible with phone/tablet holders, making it a breeze to access and control my workout with just a few taps on my device.
However, I must point out that there have been some issues with the quality of service from the manufacturer. In my case, the transmission mechanism broke after 18 months, and despite numerous follow-ups, a replacement part has yet to arrive. Additionally, one of the pedals snapped off and replacement part is still due. These minor setbacks have been frustrating, but they certainly do not overshadow the fantastic performance and visual appeal of the NOHrD Bike.
In conclusion, the NOHrD Bike Indoor Cycle Walnut is an exceptional indoor cycling option. Its innovative features, stylish design, and overall build quality make it an attractive addition to any home gym or studio environment. While there have been some service-related issues, the overall experience has been nothing short of excellent, and I would highly recommend the NOHrD Bike to anyone searching for a reliable and performance-driven indoor cycle for their fitness needs.

I've been using the Cyclace Exercise Bike for a few months now, and it's made a significant difference in my daily workout routine. As someone who loves cycling but doesn't always have the time to go outside, this indoor bike has been a game-changer.
First off, the build quality is impressive. It's sturdy and well-constructed, making it feel like a high-end exercise machine despite its affordable price point. The 36 lbs weight flywheel is powerful and smooth, providing a realistic cycling experience that's not too hard to start but still challenging enough for more experienced riders.
Another standout feature is how easy it is to adjust. Both the seat and handlebars are easily adjustable to accommodate different heights, making it suitable for both my husband and me. Plus, the LCD monitor gives you all the necessary information about your workout, including time, distance, speed, calories burned, and heart rate.
However, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. Some users have reported issues with squeaky pedals, which can be distracting during your workout. Additionally, the seat isn't perfect - it's quite soft and cushioned, which might not be everyone's preference.
But overall, the Cyclace Exercise Bike has been an excellent addition to our home gym. Its sturdiness, ease of use, and realistic cycling experience easily outweigh any minor drawbacks. If you're looking for a reliable indoor bike without breaking the bank, I highly recommend giving the Cyclace a try.

Echelon Sport Connected Bike with 30-Day Free Trial and United Membership

I have been a long-time fan of indoor cycling, and I must say, the Echelon Sport Connected Bike has been a game-changer for me. This exercise bike truly delivers the pinnacle of connected fitness from the comfort of home. The variety of adjustable features and cutting-edge technology make it effortless to adapt this bike to my personal fitness goals.
The integration with the EchelonFit app is a standout feature. It leverages Bluetooth technology to monitor my performance and track my progress, allowing me to fine-tune my workouts as needed. The app provides access to 100 on-demand cycling classes of varying lengths and intensities, making it easy for me to stay engaged and motivated in my fitness journey.
Another highlight is the 32 manual resistance levels. As someone always looking to challenge myself, I appreciate the ability to cycle at my own pace and gradually increase my fitness levels. The fully padded, ergonomic handlebars also provide comfort and support, helping me maintain proper upper-body alignment throughout my workout.
However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. While the design comfort and ease of use are impressive, the seat can sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable during long workout sessions. Additionally, the process of connecting the bike to the app can be a bit tedious, requiring Bluetooth connectivity and waiting for everything to sync.
But despite these minor issues, overall, the Echelon Sport Connected Bike has been an excellent addition to my home fitness arsenal. If you're considering an indoor cycling exercise bike, I would highly recommend giving this one a try. You might be pleasantly surprised by how much it can help you achieve your fitness goals without breaking the bank. Don't forget to take advantage of that free 30-day trial of Echelon United as well – it's definitely worth exploring the wealth of live and on-demand connected fitness classes they have to offer. Happy pedaling!

4-Level Adjustable Seat Indoor Cycling Bike

I recently got the Cyclace Exercise Bike to incorporate some cardio into my daily routine at home. The bike is incredibly easy to assemble and it's the perfect size for my workout space. The seat is adjustable in four ways, allowing me to find the perfect fit, and the handlebars are also easily adjusted to my height. The flywheel weighs 13 lbs, which provides a smooth and resistance-filled ride that has significantly stepped up my workout game.
One of the standout features of this bike is its quiet nature, even during intense workouts. The last thing I want is a noisy machine that disturbs my family or roommates, so this has been a game-changer for me. The Cyclace also has an easy-to-use console that displays my speed, distance, calories burned, and time taken. This helps me keep track of my progress and motivates me to push harder.
However, it's worth noting that some users have reported issues with the seat adjustment, and it can be a bit uncomfortable at first. It's important to take breaks and gradually build up endurance to make the most of this exercise bike.
In conclusion, I have absolutely no regrets about adding the Cyclace Exercise Bike to my home fitness setup. Its compact size, adjustability, and smooth, quiet ride make it the perfect addition for anyone looking to incorporate some cardio into their routine without disturbing the rest of the household.

2024.05.26 07:03 Ordellrebello From comment section of a popular Marathi song and movie (Zenda)

Context: Zenda was a movie based on Shivsena split in 2006, movie is more on how political workers are a pawn in the big game of politics.
Was scrolling through comment section and thought of sharing as it is informative.
"This song will make you cry if you know Marathi and are familiar with the political climate of Bombay and how ordinary, hard working people of the city suffer while crooks prosper. Our leaders blame the Gujarati or Marwari businessmen or the U.P and Bihar bhaiyas who came to this great city of ours because our city is literally annapurna, it is everybody's mai-baap. But our leaders who blame these so called "outsiders" shamelessly make hundreds of crores by buying and selling milling mill land like Kohinoor Mills near Sena Bhavan and building huge towers.
When the textile mills strike led by Dr. Datta Samant almost 35 years ago took place, lakhs of workers and their families came on the verge on starvation, their children turned turned to crime because they had nothing else to do and they had to feed their family members, the Dagdi Chawl mawalis became so called "Dons" and most of them were later killed by cops or other goondas and mawalis.
Dr. Datta Samant was the union leader, later even floated the Kamgar Aghadi party and used to roam around in a simple Premier Padmini car- lokanna dakhawayla ki mi kitti saadha manoos ahay. But his son who was my friend at Sion Medical College used to roam in HONDA Accord car which in those days even topmost builders and movie stars could not afford since import laws were very strict and Custom Duty on cars was 350%. Anhi haa amhaala saglyaa kharya goshti sangoon takaycha, that the car was a secret gift to his Trade Unionist father from mill owners to ensure that the strike continued so that they could close down the mills and sell the land to builders with a percentage of the proceeds going to Dr. Samant's overseas bank accounts. 2024.05.26 06:53 s1destroyer Prop Mover Rotate Mode

May 26 2024
I'm trying to figure out how to use the prop mover, I can't get it to rotate. Not the device itself but I can't get it to rotate the prop i have it attached to, there are event functions "Rotate clockwise/counter clockwise when receiving from:"
I at first tried to wire it to a player spawn to see if it would just work at game start but no luck, i then wired to an off/on switch but still nothing.
Has anyone gotten this to work or is it just broken? I'm on Xbox and do not have access to UEFN.

2024.05.26 06:51 Unknown_Gamer_ LF Rocket League Mechanics Informational Sources (Not Skill Related)

TLDR: Where can I find information on Rocket League like the content Rocket League Science provides?
I'm looking for a bit more in-depth information sources on the game itself and not what you can do in it. More of the "Why?" and not the "How?" of Rocket League, if that makes sense. Understanding the game from a ground-up approach has always been the best way for improvement for me. Many are trying to stuff like Zap/Horse Dashes and have no idea about the suspension system and why that is a major part which makes those things possible.
Main point - I'm looking for resources on understanding Rocket League on a deeper ("read as basic") level. I see all the time and everywhere mechanics referring to different shots and approaches to shoot the ball and control your car. Nobody really talks about the game mechanics themselves on the kind of level player mechanics are talked about.
Bringing up another game, Super Smash Bros Melee, the amount of technical information is overflowing - frame data, character specific stats like weight and speed, etc. Albeit Melee is turning 23 this year and has had more time to develop and be broken down into simple parts, where is this kind of information on Rocket League found?
Rocket League Science is pretty much the only place I've found that has this type of information. Are there any more channels or informational sources like this?

2024.05.26 06:49 rtwoctwo Whizbang's Wonderful Achievements

My normal disclaimer on Achievements in Hearthstone: If you have to ask, "why should I do these?" the answer is, "you shouldn't." They are useless. The points are useless. They are just a distraction or small goal that some people (like mylself) enjoy completing.
That said, some thoughts on the Whizbang's Workshop Achievements:
Too easy and too few.
Ever since Achievements were added a few years ago, they have been my primary focus when an expansion launches. While the majority of players are trying new cards and (at least here on Reddit) complaining about the new broken deck, I spend the first month in Wild playing bad decks against bad decks, not caring if I win or lose so long as I make progress on a little number.
This set, though, the total number of Achievements were reduced, and the complexity (which was never too high) was reduced as well. Instead of completing all of them in a month, I completed all of them in 2 weeks (or less). Not only that, but my overall collection is much lower, since I no longer need to craft a half dozen legendary cards for their Achievements.
Class Achievement Name Achievement Details Thoughts
Death Knight Puppy Power Summon 6/12 Rambunctious Stuffies in one game. Stack your deck with Frost spells and go for it.
Death Knight It's Foam or Nothing Attack 4/6 times with a single Foamrender With Highlander Warrior being popular, I found this one pretty easy. Sure, you might have your weapon destroyed once, but they rarely have 2 weapon removals (and often don't even have 1). Very easy in pretty much any common DK deck.
Demon Hunter No Nerfs Needed Play 20/40 cards created by Ci'cigi. More frustrating than difficult (does anyone else wish this was a battlecry instead of deathrattle). Just play the card.
Demon Hunter Am I a Naga, or Am I a Puppet? Attack with a 6-/12-Attack Sock Puppet Slitherspear I used Quest DH combined with Lion's Frenzy. I found out AFTERWARDS that the minion was bugged to not use the weapon charge... and I still got it done on the 2nd game.
Druid One Short Day in the Jade City Play a 5/5 / 10/10 or bigger Jade Display. Wild made this one super simple. We have multiple ways of triggering Deathrattles, massive card draw options, and plenty of survivability.
Druid Magic Bean Stonks Draw 4/7 cards with a single Overgrown Beanstalk Wild has so many ways to summon Treants there's no reason to try anywhere else.
Hunter The Good Spots in Life Summon 50 / 101 R.C. Hounds Play the card. There are probably ways to copy the spell to speed up the process, but I didn't really feel the need.
Hunter Clever Girl Recast 30/60 Secrets with Product 9 This one looked harder than it was, because the Achievement will progress for every Secret that the battlecry TRIES to cast, even if the secret fizzles because the secret zone is full or there's a duplicate Secret. So load your deck with easily triggered Secrets and then play Product 9. Selective Breeder and Stitched Tracker are great to get extra copies of Product 9.
Mage Sob Story Play a spell that had its Cost reduced by 3/6 from Watercolor Artist I put a few big Frost spells and then survived for a few turns.
Mage Hat Trick Have a single Darkmoon Magician cast 8/12 Mana worth of spells. I found it easy to load a deck with 0- and 1-cost spells and then just start spamming them. Note that the minion will cast a spell that costs 1-more than the amount spent: if you cast a 5-cost spell for 0-mana, it will cast a 1-cost spell.
Paladin Stocked Inventory Summon 6 copies of Wind-Up Enforcer using its Battlecry. This took a bit of trying, but it wasn't ridiculous. Like other Achievements of this type, I believe it counts the number you TRY to summon, even if there isn't enough room on the board. Radar Detector is a great card to fish this guy out of your deck.
Paladin Flourescent Flourish Play 20/40 Flickering Lightbots for 0-Mana. Librams are perfect for this since they can get to 0-cost easily AND are repeatable. However, you will probably die if you try to go all Libram. Wild is a mess right now :(.
Priest Spring Cleaning Stuff 15/30 Mana worth of minions into a single Box with Repackage. It looks harder than it is. I think I used a Big Priest shell so I could send my expensive minions into the box, but I doubt it is necessary.
Priest Dr. Boom's Matinee Play 15/30 minions created by Puppet Theater. Possibly the slowest Achievement of the set, even though 30 isn't that big a number. Luckily the card is better than I expected, so I managed to win over half my games while working on it. And it took 20+ games to get it done.
Rogue It's a Steal! Summon 3/6 Pirates with Shoplifter Goldbeard's effect in one turn. Filletfighter is great for this, since it can clear a 1/1 Pirate from your board to make room for another summon.
Rogue WAAHH!! GOLDEN ACHIEVEMENT! Play 2/4 cards created by Twisted Pack in one turn. This one looks easier than it is. RNG is your enemy, and no amount of Preparation, Counterfeit Coins, or other tricks is going to save you from it. However, Spirit of the Shark + Scabbs Cutterbutter can do some crazy things.
Shaman Blue Participation Ribbon Destroy 15/30 minions with Baking Soda Volcano. If you want to accellerate this one (and the next one), take a look at Flash of Lightning + Voltaic Burst and Pop-Up Book.
Shaman The Good Ol' Day Transform 20/40 non-Legendary minions into Legendary ones with Wave of Nostalgia. Easiest thing is to fill your own board with cheap minions and then cast the spell. Since Wave of Nostalgia is a Nature spell, you can combo quite a few options with Flash of Lightning.
Warlock Sketched Out Cast 20/40 temporary Shadow spells created by Sketch Artist. Nothing special, just play the card.
Warlock More. MORE!!! Play 4/8 copies of Mass Production in one game. I hate it, but this had me playing Questline Warlock again. A better person would combo this card with one of the "your hero is immune" options, but I'm not a better person.
Warrior Science Rules! Summon 25/50 Lab Patrons. It was discovered fairly early that a newly summoned Lab Patron will trigger its ability when you gain armor, even if it isn't the first time you gained armor that turn. In other words, when combo'd with Armor Vendor and Warsong Commander - you can summon many Patrons in a single turn.
Warrior Explosive Experiments (of Fun!) Shuffle 25/50 Bombs into your opponent's deck as a Warrior. Search collection: Bomb. Add all the cards to your deck. Die, but make plenty of progress on this Achievement.
Neutral Mini Me Play 20/40/80 Mini minions. Well, if you got the weekly quest you've already made good progress on this. No point trying to farm this one, it should complete for everyone who plays during this expansion.
Neutral You Guessed it Right! Awaken 10/20/40 Corridor Sleepers. In Wild Hunters can summon many tokens, meaning this one is just a matter of time.
Neutral I Must-Ache You a Question. Destroy the enemy hero with a minion wearing a funny mustache. In case this one isn't obvious, play Caricature Artist and then kill the enemy using the card drawn. HOWEVER, the Achievement is bugged - several people have reported getting this Achievement after drawing the minion, even if they don't kill with that minion. Me? I used Leeroy in handbuff Paladin during the first day of the expansion.
Neutral P E R F E C T I O N Play 4/8 different Zilliax creations. Just keep track of the combinations you've played.
Neutral GG EZ Win 3 games of Rock-Paper-Scissors with Pro Gamer. Play the card and Git Gud.
Neutral On the Shoulders of Giants. Play 10/20 Gigantic minions. If you're working on the Paladin Lightbots achievement, you're likely going to get this one done. If not, I recommend looking up a handbuff DK list: because you get to discover a card that will likely cost 0, it makes it easier to play that initial 8-mana.

2024.05.26 06:43 _Alaeric You have two months to coach a complete beginner for a fight...

...In your art that you train. They have never trained or fought before. Their opponent is the same weight as them and has also never trained or fought before, but other than that you know nothing of them or their trainer. Fight is in two months.
Your and your student's living expenses, leave from work/study, and your fight camp are all completely sponsored. But the amount you spend is equally spent by your rival team. You are the sole coach and must call all the shots.
What's your game plan? In as much or as little detail as you want to give.
Mine for MMA:
  1. I'll focus on 3 win conditions: Rear Naked Choke, Guillotine Choke, Ground and pound.
  2. We'd train extensively in getting to the above. Snap downs and sprawls into Guillotine; Double and Single legs into G&P; Arm Drags and Slide By's from clinch and Peakout from stuffed shot: for back take RNC.
  3. Then we'd spend a lot of time defending from various attacks into doing the above. Such as: Defending strikes into clinch into arm drag. Defending takedowns into Sprawl. Getting off the ground or out of their guard, or Just Standing Uptm into G&P.
It'd all be very Wrestling focussed. Reason being I don't think two months is enough to incorporate much fight-realistic striking training without injury. Nor is it enough time to learn to fight well off your back when G&P is in the picture. That and, I think Wrestling is the best for fitness, conditioning and strength.
What's your game plan for your art?

If snipers are overpowered...you have access to it too so git gud. Intel is broken? Pull it out and empty the lobby. "This game isn't fun because I'm getting stomped". Go outside for a bit and reset your mental. There you go, I've fixed the game for you (apart from the hit reg)

2024.05.26 06:37 Major_Fistage Devs Gotta Hate Ochako

Yay! Ochako gets a buff finally...but also a nerf?!?!?! Like what are the devs thinking here? We got characters with super armored moves, moves that track to where they damn near never miss, and she got the lowest damn health. Compared to everyone else in the game that can hit 2 buttons and guarantee a kill and can stun lock with every move, how can y'all 'balance' by doing a buff and nerf. If y'all actually give a damn I'll list options on how to not leave her in f***ing F-tier for the rest of this games life.
  1. Make her alpha have more range (either at all levels, or once a certain level is reached)
  2. Make it so she can cancel her special action manually (Iida's throw me in the air like a ragdoll)
  3. May be broken but, give her 4 alpha charges at level 9

2024.05.26 06:33 GallimorelAllSeer [Online][5e][Saturday 4pm PST]Scaled are those Amongst Us, Homebrew campaign set within Forgotten Realms

I am a veteran Dm looking for 4-5 players to embark on a campaign beginning with an adventure of my own design set within the Forgotten Realms campaign setting.
::Campaign Specifics:: Starting Level -- 3rd Classes/Races/Backgrounds -- All Official, Homebrew upon discussion
::Backstory Expectations:: Limited, I myself have never cared how much effort is put into this portion of character creation. Whether a paragraph, a page or a tome whatever you feel works for you, works for me.
::Play Expectations:: Not a big fan of Schadenfreude, even with its deep connection to earlier editions. A friendly demeanor towards your fellow players and myself is a must. We're all just here to enjoy ourselves and maybe stab a dragon.
::Rules Homebrew or Otherwise:: If the rule says X but fun or meaningful says Y, I tend to side with Y. I won't let you have broken things easily or ever but were her to have fun.
::Session 0:: A session 0 will occur for those signed up and chosen as its a great icebreaker.
::Software:: We will be utilizing Discord for communication and Roll20 for the TTRPG portion.
If you would like to sign up for this game please fill out the following form (It's short and sweet)

2024.05.26 06:31 svedal Mech Controls AREN'T Hardcoded: the Controls Config and You

PC divers, in your steam userdata directory is the controls config file, and it's the best documented and most capable controls config I've ever seen. A lot of controls that aren't exposed in the game's ui can be found in a bloody markdown file on an ArrowHead website.
You can easily bind an action to more than one key just by duplicating an input section. You can supposedly also use Overlap = 0.2 or a Chain statement to require multiple inputs (the one containing Overlap and the one immediately following) to trigger an action, but there aren't any examples in the defaults. (even with the uncertainty, it's still amazing).

I've reproduced important sections below.

The input settings file can be edited in any text editor. If you have cloud saves enabled it is here: [Steam install directory]\userdata\[userid]\553850\input_settings.config If you do not, then it is here: %APPDATA%\Arrowhead\Helldivers2\saves\[steamid]_input_settings.config Check the cloud save folder first, it is most likely there.
READ FIRST
Make a backup of the file before you start making changes, so you can revert more easily without losing your settings. Should you get stuck and be unable to boot the game, please report this (and attach your settings file) so we can make this more robust. Then delete the file to revert to defaults. You may need to briefly disable cloud saves if a broken file has been uploaded.

Settings in this file

Verbatim from the documentation.
The available settings values are (and defaults): ``` // Number of frames over which to smooth mouse input (zero means no smoothing). Note that this applies to the _movement_, not the position! mouse_smoothing_frames = 3 // If set (per axis) the look axis is inverted _when aiming down sights_ for gamepads. gamepad_scope_inverted_x = false gamepad_scope_inverted_y = false // If set (per axis) the look axis is inverted _when aiming down sights_ for mice. mouse_scope_inverted_x = false mouse_scope_inverted_y = false // If set (per axis) the look axis is inverted for gamepads gamepad_inverted_x = false gamepad_inverted_y = false // If set (per axis) the look axis is inverted for mice mouse_inverted_x = false mouse_inverted_y = false // Gamepad look sensitivity in first component, vertical multiplier in second. // Range is any valid real value. gamepad_sensitivity = [5 0.6] // Mouse look sensitivity, range is any valid real value. mouse_sensitivity = [0.072 0.072] // If zero or exactly one, no acceleration is applied. // Otherwise, mouse movement is scaled by the following formula: // movement = movement_after_sensitivity ^ acceleration // Settings menu shows this value offset by 1, so the settings range of [0, 3] maps to [1, 4], // essentially cutting off the deceleration part of the curve. mouse_acceleration = 1.0 // The first value is the speed at which we accelerate. Zero means we do not apply acceleration at all. // The second value is the exponent applied to the acceleration rate. gamepad_acceleration = [0.7 3.0] // Multiplier of sensitivity while aiming gamepad_aim_sensitivity = 0.5 // Multiplier of sensitivity while aiming down sights gamepad_scope_sensitivity = 0.5 // Sensitivity of PlayStation controller touchpad when using this to move the map cursor ([0,1] range) touchpad_map_sensitivity = 0.5 // Multiplier of sensitivity while aiming mouse_aim_sensitivity = 1.0 // Multiplier of sensitivity while aiming down sights mouse_scope_sensitivity = 1.0 // Multiplier of sensitivity while scrolling map mouse_map_sensitivity = 1.0 // Size of gamepad deadzone (lower bound, absolute value, [0,1] range). deadzone = 0.1 // Disables the Steam input in-game warning when connecting a DualSense or DualShock controller while Steam input is ON. dont_warn_about_steam_input = false // Veteran mode toggle + scale (percentage of max observed input, [0,1] range). veteran_mode = false veteran_mode_scale = 0.8 // How much stickyness should there be to aiming with controllers when looking at enemies controller_sticky_aim = 0.5 // How strong the Dualsense adaptive triggers should be. [0,1] range, where 0 is disabling all trigger feedback. trigger_effect_strength = 1.0 // How strong the Dualsense haptics or conroller rumble should be. [0,1] range, where 0 is disabling all feedback. haptics_rumble_strength = 1.0 ```

Default Controls

These include controls that are not exposed by default. Copying this section into the controls file will replace your binds with the defaults for all platforms, but lets you change them all in the file.
I massaged the formatting because sue me. The original is in the markdown file I linked at the top of this post, which ArrowHead saints linked at the top of the config file. You can remove the bindings for controllers you don't use, but this does unbind those controls for those devices!
Since I did technically make changes, I tested this by launching the game. It didn't crash. Caveat emptor, refer to the markdown file if you have doubts!

2024.05.26 06:31 hoggersbridge Engines of Arachnea: The Bug Planet (Chapter 34: Hope)

First Chapter. Link for all the chapters available here: Engines of Arachnea on Royal Road
There was quite the queue forming in the stuffy hallway down in the bowels of the corps headquarters. And in the nature of queues it was getting longer by the hour, the creaking pews on either side of the aisle filling up with disgruntled, sweaty, blank-faced junior officers, all of them suspended in the mind-numbing amber of bureaucratic inefficiency. Well, in truth the seats were more like benches than pews, but such was the atmosphere of ponderous solemnity and absolute silence that one could easily have mistaken it for a shrine of sorts.
This was despite the fact that nearly all of the offices had been converted into pens for farm animals. Flocks of meat crickets chirped inside their wicker coops while families of oinking unguloids rooted in their beds of dried rice stalks. Mound Shakka had become the main supply depot for the Expeditionary Force that would soon be headed north. Accommodation for all the livestock and droves of support troops had been difficult to find since noncombat personnel such as clerks, smiths, line cooks and cobblers outnumbered the real soldiers by a ratio of 1:5. The Fleet Quartermaster Corps had worked its magic with what little space the already overpopulated settlement could spare and this menagerie had been one of their many ingenious solutions.
But if the hallway was a shrine and the bored officers its devotees, then the altar at the center of it all was the tiny cubicle office whose doorway bore the legend in faded green paint: “Defensive Mapping Agency Hydrographic and Geographic Center’s Office of Distribution and Services (Pathfinder Liaison Office).”
It was a somewhat long-winded appellation, to be sure. But the mere mention of the name was enough to send the bravest pencil-pushers into paroxysms of paranoia and dread.
Had they triple stamped the approval sheets in the appropriate color of ink? Had they used the correct stock number to indicate the maps they needed to requisition? And most importantly, would the stern guardian of the inner sanctum show them mercy today?
As if in answer to that question the door flew open with a bang and a mustachioed corporal stormed out, crying:
“How can you do this to me? This is outrageous! Unfair! How can I be a commissioned officer and be denied access to my flipping field sketches?”
“You will sit down, corporal,” came the stern reproof from the man inside, making all the waiting supplicants jump in their seats as if at the crack of a bullwhip.
“I…I…” the officer gulped, his frustration petering out beneath the withering glare of the bald man sitting behind the cheap plywood desk and stacks of misprints.
“I’m sorry,” the corporal finally whimpered, all but tucking his tail between his legs. Everyone else studiously examined their fingernails or stared at the ceiling, having no desire to catch a stray bullet from the exchange.
“I’m sorry, what?”
“I’m sorry, navigator Deschane,” the luckless man finished, meekly returning to his seat, “B-but please, sir, you must understand. I’ve been trying to get these set of maps for my unit for days now. I’ve completed forms 22-A through 34-D along with all the supplementals. I filled in the boxes with black ink and the region names in blue as per regulations. I’ve even listed the stock numbers alphabetically just like you told me to, which I’m beginning to suspect isn’t even an actual requirement at all!”
“Indeed, it isn’t,” Deschane admitted, “That was just a helpful suggestion on my part. It wouldn’t hurt to be more organized, now would it?”
“So I’ve done everything you asked?”
“Why, yes,” Deschane said, sounding pleasantly surprised. He put on a pair of wire spectacles and shuffled some sheets of paper around, “You have completed all the documentation needed to requisition copies of classification level C field sketches. Good job.”
Deschane held out a stack of freshly printed papers and the corporal’s face lit up with happiness. But his hopes were immediately dashed when Deschane continued: “Now just repeat all those steps for the other grid zones and I can give you the rest of the maps you ordered.”
The navigator handed him a single copy off the pile and withheld all the rest. The corporal gave a feeble chuckle and said:
“I think I just misheard you, dear fellow. Did you just say that I have to redo all this paperwork fourteen more times?”
“The regulations are quite clear. Form 29-E can only be used to apply for one copy at a time. So you see, my hands are tied.”
“Alright, fine,” pressed the corporal, still stuck at the bargaining phase of the five stages of grief, “So all I have to do is fill out fourteen more copies of 29-E and not all the rest of that rubbish, aye?”
Outside, the people in the queue all winced at his stupidity. It was never a good idea to get uppity with Nv. Deschane.
“That would suffice,” Deschane frowned, “But for the purposes of filing it would be more efficient if each copy of 29-E came attached with copies of all the other forms, just to avoid confusion in the procurement process. Otherwise there really is no telling how long the process might be delayed. Days? Weeks? Months?”
“Navigator,” the corporal pleaded in a fit of depression, which was the fourth stage of grief, “My battalion cannot attack the enemy if it does not know where that enemy is! We cannot function without maps! Do you want us to go in completely blind, like hogs to the slaughter?”
“All I’m asking is that you adhere to standard procurement procedures. Yours is not the only battalion in need of crucial information. Rest assured that our staff is working round the clock to provide for the needs of the brave soldiers spearheading the coming offensive. But you must understand that good maps are a precious and delicate resource that must be handled with care—”
Deschane’s rational explanations were interrupted by the door to the adjoining office flying open with a cacophony of curses and bestial squeals. Corporal Ven appeared,s struggling mightily to wrest a stack of envelopes from the jaws of a very annoyed mother hog. Finally tearing them loose and shooing the belligerent sow back into its pen, she did an about face and saluted Deschane, announcing:
“Here are the planimetric maps for the 9th Infantry Regiment.”
Then Ven saw a bite-sized chunk missing from the corners of the sheaf and her face took on a crestfallen expression. Deschane accepted it with a nod of thanks and turned his attention back to the mortified corporal, who licked his mustachios nervously and said:
“I think finally understand what’s going on here. And look, I get it. Anyone who gets reassigned to a reeking dungeon like this one has got to make a living somehow. If it’s a question of money—”
“I believe I was the one who misheard this time,” Deschane cut in, his voice as frigid as an ice pick in a freezer. The people in the queue shook their heads; the corporal had dug his own grave good and deep now, “Are you under the impression that I’m soliciting a bribe?”
“Don’t be absurd!” the nitwit backpedaled, “That’s the furthest thing on my mind. Just an exchange of gifts between good friends, is all—"
“Leave the door open on your way out,” Deschane said, his pen scratching busily at an approval slip.
“But why?”
“I don’t need financial incentives to do my job. I am not a base criminal, sir.”
“Then why are you making my life so bloody difficult?”
“Because I believe in organization,” Deschane said without looking up, “This virtue above all else is what allowed humanity to claw its way back from the brink. It is the engine that drives our ascent back into the celestial firmament from whence we came. And if the engine fails,” Deschane peered at him over the rim of his spectacles, “then so shall we. Next!”
The corporal left the office with a look of dazed acceptance. The line shuffled forwards. Hours passed and the queue eventually shortened. Most of the officers were turned away in disappointment, while the rest dashed out from the cubicle clutching their fresh copies to their chests as if they could hardly believe their good fortune. This went on until the refracted light of the solar prisms studding the walls went the color of runny eggs, signaling the arrival of dusk.
“That’s it for today folks,” Ven said, taking out her glowbowl of bioluminescent algae and shining it into the faces of the men who’d dozed off on the pews, “Same time again tomorrow!”
There were groans of half-hearted protest as the intelligence officers drooped off back home to try another day. A latecomer arrived just as the last of them filed out. He went over to the animal pens, clicking his tongue at the unguloids and tossing them bits of corn husk from the floor.
“I’m sorry sir, but you’ll have to come back in the morning,” Ven told him, “Navigator Deschane is—”
“A very busy man. So I have observed,” the man turned, smiling sweetly. He was dressed in the most outlandish garb Ven had ever seen, a scandalously skimpy loincloth beneath robes of see-through abaca being all that covered his modesty.
“Oh! Wow,” Ven quickly averted her eyes, a warm flush creeping the back of her neck, “I didn’t realize you were so…so.... erm…”
“Ethnic?” the tribesman tactfully supplied.
“Yes! That’s the word. I hope,” Ven added in an undertone.
“I am Nong Acklund, a geologist from the Darood, in the Occupied Territories,” the tribesman introduced himself with a clipped accent, “May I ask for a moment of his time?”
The tribesman walked past her before she could object, slithering eel-like into the darkened office where Deschane was busy getting onto his crutches.
“Ah, navigator! I tried to catch you yesterday at your award ceremony, but you left as soon as you concluded your acceptance speech.”
“Hmph,” was all Deschane had to say to that.
“Oh, ha ha! There it is again: the entire text of your speech. If brevity is the soul of wit, then I guess that makes you a veritable prodigy!”
Deschane’s forehead knitted into a worrying frown. Ven knew that look and placed herself between the two to protect Nong from bodily harm.
“Soldier, what is this civilian doing here?” Deschane said quietly and without taking his eyes off the shameless exhibitionist.
“He is attempting to be funny,” Nong replied, “He sees now that this approach will prove fruitless. I’ll get to the point: I am here to ask you about what happened at Mound 13.”
“They covered all that at the ceremony. I have nothing more to add. Corporal Vendamme, remove this person before I do.”
Ven reached for Nong’s shoulder, but once again the tribesman evaded her, stepping closer to the navigator.
“I see. Either they have bought your silence, or you have been cowed into submission.”
“What did you just say?”
“Or is it something else?” Nong went on, blissfully unaware of the danger he was in, “Perhaps your being difficult and unpleasant serves a grander purpose. Even after those idiots confined you in this midden heap to rot, you are doing all that you can to delay their much-vaunted offensive for as long as possible. After all, an army is blind without good intelligence, and your superiors in their matchless arrogance gave you control over just that, didn’t they? Now the only question that remains is this: are you a traitor, Navigator Deschane? If not, then why are you deliberately sabotaging the war effort?”
Deschane was a long time answering that one.
“Everything I do is for the good of the Fleet,” he said at last, “I fight for the species. And if you call me a traitor one more time, I’ll rip your throat out with my thumbs.”
Indeed, Ven was wondering why he hadn’t done it already. Deschane had been through a lot in these past few days, and had been begging for an excuse to cut loose. The tribesman beamed again, only this time it was genuine, each crooked tooth gleaming like ivory.
“A believer! Excellent. You fight that we may reattain our ancient godhead—yes, I overheard that conversation with that poor young fool. But it is one thing to believe, and another thing entirely to know. And so, my good navigator, I have one final question. Do you know what this is?”
Nong drew something from the folds of his loincloth and slammed it on the desk. Initially Ven thought it was some sort of tribal fetish, an idol carved from ultrapod horn and sculpted into the crude likeness of a human. It was about ten centimeters tall and sported an eggshell head, hunched shoulders and a single crimson dot in the place of a face.
Ven had owned a similar doll in her childhood, made for her by her native servant, a sweet old maid by the name of Riyah with raisin-wrinkle cheeks who smelled like rosewater. There was a thin horizontal slot in the middle of its belly—perhaps it was a child’s piggy bank?
But then Nong touched something on the side of the idol and the thing stirred to life, stocky legs pumping as it strode ponderously across the desk. It swiveled on its waist and knocked over a pile of misprints with its arm and sent them scattering all over the dung-spattered floorboards. Then it turned to Ven and spoke in a tinny little voice:
“…your…future…built…today. Say chzzztt!”
The red eye flashed dangerously, and Ven flinched. The idol hummed and whirred as some hidden mechanism activated. A square of semirigid material shot out of the slot and spun in the air. Ven caught it before it fell and found herself looking at an image of her frightened face etched into a card of strange transparent crystal, with the following words stamped below it:
EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
“Well, paint me in polka dots and slap me silly,” she breathed in amazement, “Look, sir. It’s me!”
She held up the card for Deschane to see and received the second, even bigger shock of the day. The navigator was biting into his clenched fist, his throat working as he held back a tide of emotions.
“I thought I’d gone mad…” he whispered in a broken voice, as if he were all alone in the room with no one to hear him, “They’d half convinced me of it. Blood loss, shell shock, narcosis, morphine. Any number of reasons. My men…” he looked up at Nong, his upper lip stiffening, “My boys. Rene. Lethway. I failed them—failed them all. I thought it was a mistake on the part of providence, that I had been spared and they had not. But now...”
Deschane reached out with trembling fingers and touched the idol reverently.
“Yes, I do know what this is,” he told Nong, his voice now stronger and more assured, “This here is hope.”

I recently got my hands on the CZ75/85 grips from handicraftgrips, and I must say, I'm really pleased with the quality and style of these grips. The smooth, resin surface is a perfect match for my hand, providing a secure and comfortable grip. The full-size grips fit perfectly with my CZ75 B, but I've heard they're also available in a compact version.
One thing that I truly appreciate about these grips is the attention to detail in creating them. Each one is handmade, which shows in the precision and craftsmanship. However, it's a bit of a hit-and-miss, as the grips I received had some slight imperfections, which can be a downside for those who value consistency. But overall, I'm happy with my purchase and will definitely continue to use it for my CZ75 B.
Don't forget to check out the handicraftgrips store for more awesome designs that could fit your hand and your CZ75 series firearms.

🔗Black Enhanced Pistol Grip for CZ Evo SI

https://preview.redd.it/412rrh4z7p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0244451bea59fb52c890d65d5a1c56d23e5ed607
I recently stumbled upon the Strike Enhcd Pistol Grip for CZ Evo, and I must say, it's been a game-changer for my daily life. The pistol grip, crafted with a sleek black finish, instantly elevates the look of my trusty CZ Evo. It's not easy to find a pistol grip that feels as comfortable as this one in my hands.
What I truly appreciate about this grip is its ergonomic design that makes long hours at the range or training sessions feel effortless. The textured surface provides a fantastic grip with no slip, even when my hands are sweaty. Its sturdy construction gives me the confidence I need when I'm out there defending myself or others.
However, I can't say there weren't any cons. One minor issue I noticed is that the grip's installation takes some time and requires some toolwork – but the added comfort it provides is well worth the effort. I also noticed that the grip is longer than the OEM one, which might affect the aesthetics of some users who are after a drop-in replacement without any visible difference.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend the Strike Enhcd Pistol Grip for CZ Evo to anyone looking for an enhanced grip. With some time and perseverance, it pays off tremendously for the user's comfort and shooting experience.

🔗Softest Rossi Grips for Small Revolvers

https://preview.redd.it/bxxq6drz7p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d81e4bd51b6802124397daf54c90fdfab747f0d7
I recently acquired a Rossi Small Revolver 38 Special and was searching for the perfect grip to make it easier to hold and shoot. I stumbled upon the Pachmayr Compac grip, and after reading some fantastic reviews, I decided to give it a try.
The first thing I noticed was how soft and comfortable the grip felt in my hand, making it a vast improvement over the standard factory grip. The Diamond Plate texture provided great grip, even with sweaty hands, and the smooth edges prevented any unnecessary discomfort during extended shooting sessions.
One of the standout features of this grip was its perfect fit on the Rossi revolver. There were no gaps or seams, and it wrapped around the grip frame with ease. Unfortunately, the weight of the grip was a little heavier than I imagined, which took some time to adjust to. However, it didn't affect the overall performance or ease of use.
In my experience, the Pachmayr Compac grip made a world of difference in both the look and feel of my Rossi Small Revolver. It provided a more comfortable grip, reduced felt recoil, and improved accuracy. The price might be a bit on the higher side, but it's a small price to pay for the exceptional quality and performance this grip offers.
Overall, I highly recommend the Pachmayr Compac grip for anyone looking to upgrade their Rossi revolver. It's a game-changer that will make a significant difference in your shooting experience.

🔗Fab Def Gradus Grip - Reinforced Polymer Core with Textured Rubber Overmold for Enhanced Comfort and Precision Shooting

https://preview.redd.it/c80lzv608p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45e1dfb42abe724cd0160142b499df1240d86d81
The Gradus pistol grip from FAB Defense has been a staple in my daily carry-on gun. I've found that its reinforced polymer core with a textured rubber overmold provides a comfortable yet secure grip. The 15-degree reduced grip angle is perfect for those precision shots, especially during CQB scenarios.
I also appreciate the slim ergonomic design and curved back strap, which makes for a more enjoyable and comfortable grip. The AR-style beaver tail adds a touch of ruggedness and makes it easy to attach to any compatible firearm. Plus, it comes in a beautiful Flat Dark Earth color, which adds a touch of style without being overbearing.
While it's not the cheapest grip on the market, I'm willing to pay a bit extra for the quality that FAB Defense provides. However, my only complaint is that it doesn't come with a mounting screw, which might be a hassle for some users. All in all, it's a top-notch grip that's worth considering for your next firearm purchase.

🔗Precise and Comfortable AR-15 Pistol Grip

https://preview.redd.it/soq44eq08p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc42e76bf68b7b81a5d532f6c5cf022e0102ec91
As a daily user of the Spike's Tactical Pro Pistol Grip, I can confidently say that it has made a significant difference in my shooting experience. The drop-in upgrade for my AR-15 rifle truly enhances its performance, giving it a much-needed boost both in terms of durability and ergonomics.
What stood out the most in my experience was the grip's Spider inlay, which made it feel more comfortable and secure, even during long shooting sessions. However, I also noticed that there was a slight adjustment period as I became accustomed to its unique style. While it took some time to get used to, the benefits of the Spike's Pro Grip proved to be worth the investment for its overall improved functionality.

🔗Hi Point C9 Grip for Featureless Firearms

https://preview.redd.it/t0repp118p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fde6912ed5484c2e1776c96f343202c852f719da
The Vism by NCSTAR AK Featureless Grip with Bolt and Grip Trunnion has been a reliable addition to my firearms collection. Designed specifically for firearms that require pistol grips for featureless builds, it offers a secure and comfortable grip. The thumb rest shelf feature is a welcome addition, providing better control and stability when firing.
The black polymer construction is sturdy and well-built, with a textured grip that enhances the overall feel. However, one downside I've noticed is that the mounting grip bolt is situated at the bottom of the grip rather than the top, which can lead to potential issues when tightening it. Nonetheless, this product has proved to be a valuable asset in my daily life as a gun owner, and I would recommend it to those seeking a reliable and featureless grip for their firearms.

🔗BCM Gunftr Kinesthetic Grip - MLOK Compatible, Flat Dark Earth Finish

https://preview.redd.it/r6jat1k18p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4475c39c66e00c404171160103716c0d45d7e2d9
As a satisfied user of the BCM Gunftr KAG FDE MLOK grip, it has been an incredible addition to my arsenal. The Flat Dark Earth finish perfectly matches the rest of my equipment, and the grip's MLOK compatibility ensures a seamless integration with my system. The biomechanically efficient forward rake design enhances my weapon manipulation and provides relief to my wrist, elbow, and shoulder during extended shooting sessions or drills.
There have been no negative experiences to note, making this product a 5-star choice for those needing a reliable and comfortable grip.

🔗Enhance your Xbox gaming with CZ Gripz for unrivaled control and grip.

https://preview.redd.it/z02mj5x18p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=51180f1fdf0df02722863048b33e59178133f9f4
Transform your Xbox gaming sessions with the ultimate grip experience. The C2 Gripz for Xbox One/Series X/S bring unparalleled comfort and control, perfect for those marathon gaming sessions. These grips, engineered with performance in mind, provide exceptional stability and reduce the risk of slipping during intense gaming moments. Endorsed by both esports professionals and casual gamers, they offer enhanced precision and control for a competitive edge in your favorite games.
Despite their small size, these grips deliver big improvements. Compatible with Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One Controllers, they provide a secure, non-slip grip, eliminating the need to hold your controller like a TV remote. I've noticed less hand fatigue and improved overall control, leading to a more enjoyable gaming experience. The C2 Gripz are a must-have accessory for any serious gamer, and I'm excited to try out the ones for PS5 too!
One minor downside is that these grips do not include a controller and are not compatible with elite controllers. However, for an improved gaming experience, the pros outweigh the cons hands down.

🔗WTB CZ Control Grips: Ergonomic, Pressure Relief Handlebar Grip

https://preview.redd.it/j5tm7c928p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=248a49cd2239344b60a67f6e8e0d652864d6ff2e
The WTB CZ Control grips are a game-changer for anyone looking to optimize their cycling experience. I recently got my hands on these grips, and the first thing that stood out to me was the tapered internal sleeve that creates a snug fit, eliminating the annoying twisting at the end of the grip.
These grips have a perfect balance of softness and bar feel, thanks to the control category. The soft rubber with an anti-slip compound makes it easy to maintain a firm grip even in the most challenging terrains. The single inboard clamp keeps the grips securely in place, while the enclosed rubber end ensures a smooth finish.
The semi-ergonomic shape is a winner, as it mirrors the natural way a hand interacts with the handlebar. WTB used pressure mapping technology to ensure that these grips distribute pressure efficiently, relieving numbness in the pressure-sensitive areas. The thumb area is also pressure-relief designed to keep you in control when cycling long distances.
However, there's room for improvement in the sizing department - the length of the grip may not suit everyone's hand size. Nonetheless, the WTB CZ Control grips are an excellent choice for anyone seeking a comfortable, secure, and efficient cycling experience.

🔗Custom Contour Grips with Spike Heated Chrome for Motorcycle Handles

https://preview.redd.it/jg6jo2w28p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=135be7284ed0761d3fe1b60be06dd51e2bb6cd92
This past winter, I found myself struggling to maintain a firm grip on my motorcycle during frosty mornings. That's when I discovered Avon's Custom Contour Grips Spike Heated Chrome. The warm feeling these grips provided during colder temperatures was truly game-changing.
The Kraton rubber construction definitely made a difference, with its soft serrated texture that makes it easier to hang onto the bike. And the sleek design with the hexagonal pattern caught everyone's eye. The best part? The grips powered by Frooition, ensuring constant heat throughout the ride.
However, I did experience one minor issue with the fit of the grips on my bike's handlebars, which required some adjustments. But overall, the benefits of the grips outweighed the minor inconvenience.
With Avon's Custom Contour Grips Spike Heated Chrome, I got to enjoy a more comfortable and safer riding experience during colder months, making them an excellent addition to my motorcycle accessories.

🔗White Motorcycle Grips for Enhanced Control

https://preview.redd.it/9u79cs738p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=986a37913be9505513a38713656e8cfc5739bbc4
As a longtime motorcycle enthusiast, I've tried various grips for my bike. These Mika Metals GRIPS-WHITE grips caught my eye due to their promise of increased finger traction and reduced arm pump and palm blisters. After installing them, I was surprised by the level of grip they provided. It genuinely felt like my bike handled better, especially during sharp turns or sudden maneuvers.
The medium rubber compound is a game changer; it's soft enough to conform to your hand while still being durable enough to withstand the rigors of riding. The grip has a comfortable texture, which adds to the overall experience. However, there was a downside - the grips were not as resistant to tearing as I would've liked. A couple of times, the rubber near the end of the grip tore off when I leaned my bike against my truck.
Despite the tear issue, overall, the Mika Metals GRIPS-WHITE grips have been a delight to use. They've provided a noticeable improvement in my bike-riding experience, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking to upgrade their motorbike grips. Just keep an eye on the rubber around the grip's end to ensure longevity.

🔗Fortis Shift Vertical Grip for KeyMod Interface

https://preview.redd.it/eritgjz38p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3e579fd1ff51044444740e61406244ac88b50ff7
The Fortis Shift Vertical Grip Keymod is a versatile, practical, and visually appealing vertical grip that adds a touch of elegance to any rifle. I've had the opportunity to try it out during my shooting practice sessions and noticed its smooth function and unique hybrid design right away, allowing me to hold the rifle with confidence.
The grip seamlessly attaches to KeyMod interfaces, providing a convenient and practical solution for those who want to enhance the performance and appearance of their rifle. Although it might not be as lightweight as other options, the skeletonized design provides an attractive touch while maintaining a solid, reliable construction.
However, like any product, this grip has its shortcomings. The Fortis Shift Vertical Grip Keymod's price point might be a bit higher than some of its competitors, which could be a drawback for some users. Additionally, one might require some time to get accustomed to the grip's unique shape.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Fortis Shift Vertical Grip Keymod has proven to be a reliable and visually appealing accessory that can elevate the performance and aesthetics of your rifle.

Buyer's Guide

The CZ SP 01 is a polymer-framed, semi-automatic handgun designed for self-defense and concealed carry purposes. Comfort and ease of use are paramount for users carrying their firearm daily. One crucial component that enhances the user's experience is the grip, which plays a significant role in controlling recoil, comfort, and efficiency. In this buyer's guide, we will discuss the essential features to consider when selecting CZ SP 01 grips.

Material and Texture

https://preview.redd.it/3fbq5bo48p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95038c2d794a8756ece0e9acb4bc9b3c6ea47d19
The grip material and texture play a significant role in the firearm's operability. Look for grips that offer superior grip and control with sweat and when wet. Common materials include checkered plastic, rubber, or a hybrid of the two. Choose a texture that feels comfortable and secure in your hand without compromising ease of use.

Compatibility

Ensure the grip you select is compatible with your specific CZ SP 01 model. Incorrectly sized grips may cause issues aligning the firing pin, rendering the gun inoperable. To determine compatibility, consult the manufacturer or check the product description for a list of compatible models.

Dimensions and Ergonomics

Proper dimensions and ergonomics contribute to a comfortable grip and excellent control. Grips with an ergonomic structure allow your hand to naturally wrap around the pistol, reducing strain and fatigue when shooting. Measure the grip's overall length, width, and height to ensure a proper fit for your hand size.

https://preview.redd.it/7urrh4958p2d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fa2ff2c385e4a898d96dea3a9d24eaf5db7e6e70

Customization

While compatibility should be your top priority, you might also consider customizable grip options. These can include removable or interchangeable panels that offer the ability to add grip texture, change colors, or add personalized engravings or logos.

Price and Value

When considering grip options, pay attention to the price range, as some grips may be more expensive due to their material, customization options, or reputable manufacturers. While quality grip options can enhance the overall shooting experience, it is essential to maintain a balance between price and value to ensure you receive the best grip for your budget without compromising on essential features.
Selecting the right CZ SP 01 grip requires careful consideration of several factors. Ensuring compatibility, proper dimensions, adequate texture, and the desired level of customization are all crucial aspects when choosing a grip. Balancing price and value will help you make the best decision for your specific requirements.
