2024.06.02 10:40 AlexielEve91 Need some help with regards to fraudulent transactions made with debit card.

I am relieving this traumatic experience again as I am recounting and typing this down.
To put this out there, I understand that it is my fault that I lost my passion debit card/my passion debit card got stolen, and my fault that I did not reduce the transaction limit on my card, thereby allowing the criminals to get away for this crime.
Despite having evidences that show that I did not authorise the said transactions, the DBS Fraud Team has not taken the evidences into consideration and have very easily rejected my claims of fraudulent transactions made abroad. On the 29th May, someone from their DBS customer relations team has just called me to inform me of this “re-appeal” that he will be putting forth again on my behalf as the outcome from their fraud’s team after almost a month long’s deliberation on my case. He mentioned that they did not manage to open the external link that I sent in (with evidences that I was air crew and was not able to receive any notifications on the transactions), and have proceeded to dismiss/reject my fraudulent claims. Why did he not get back to me when it was a problem earlier on that they were unable to open up the file to view the evidences?
Latest Update: I proceeded to email back the evidence in a PDF to him, to which he replied the next day that 50% will be returned to me as a gesture of goodwill. This notice came with an agreement with a list of terms and conditions that if signed, I will not be able to share the information from the case with anyone. I do not want to be bullied into accepting an outcome that is not fair to me.
Timeline as follows:
4th May 2024, 8:31am Singapore time: SMS notification was received that a transaction of AED 9800 from my card to a HONGLI PROJECT MANAGE DUBAI was completed on my card.
4th May 2024, 8:31am At the same time, there is a follow up SMS notification saying that my card has been blocked.
At this point of time, I should not expect anymore transactions to go through already, yet I am being charged for another transaction of AED 2500 to AERO LEADER TRAVEL N DUBAI
In total, my card was being used on a total of 3 transactions that I did not authorise on the 4th May 2024:
Dhaibi Asad For Pro Dubai Are SGD 371.76
Hongli Project Manage Dubai Are SGD 3643.21
Areo Leader Travel N Dubai Are SGD 929.39
When I received these notifications, I had landed in Singapore with my crew on the 4th May 2024, 8:30am Singapore time. There was no way that I had actually authorised these transactions when I was physically in the airplane, flying from Doha to Singapore. Following this, I had proceeded to call the bank’s fraud hotline, which they mentioned that they would place a block on my card and raise up a dispute once these transactions from “PENDING” became charged amounts on my card. They also mentioned that I would be able to get my money back (90% chance).
I trusted them and proceeded to put the matter at the back of my mind. Following the second day, the day of my departure from Singapore, I wanted to confirm the entire arrangement so I proceeded to call them. This time that I called them, the customer service person told me to make a police report online and I only had 20 mins to do so before my reporting time back to Doha. To give you some context, I am a flying crew from Qatar Airways so I am based in Doha.
The entire ordeal has made me so tired and frustrated with dealing with DBS, especially when I was back in Doha trying to get updates from the bank. In fact, I have incurred SGD $400 worth of phone bills as a result of this ongoing communication with the police and also DBS.
I do still want to get my money back because after all I had it stolen from me so blatantly. I just have a burning question following this - are the other banks as incompetent / not empathetic when it comes to a similar situation when it comes to their customers? What else can I do to get more of my money back from DBS?

2024.06.02 10:10 gurpster Dealership Incompetence x2

I purchased a W206 in late December and towards the end of March the car developed a fault with the HUD saying is was inoperable and that I should contact a work shop.
So I did , but not where I purchased the vehicle from, they took the car in for a day and then after an hour after the vehicle had moved (thanks to geo fencing) they advised that the issue could be rodent damage and that the entire dashboard would need to be taken out.
Note I've never had rodent damage in any vehicle ever.
So I then decided to book the car in with the dealership where I purchased the vehicle as I was horrified that the first dealer wanted to rip my car apart. They spent a good half day investigating the issue and diagnosed that a new control unit would be required.
Now a week later MBUX update 2.4 arrives and a day after installing my HUD is working.
I seriously can not explain how two separate Mercedes dealerships are unable to do their checks as well as mercedes themselves are unable to communicate software issues to either their own dealership network or the customer.
I took two days out of work for each dealership visit and for an issue that was fixed over the air.
The second dealership hasn't called me on arranging a date for the control box replacement as yet, should be an interesting conversation.

2024.06.02 10:09 Any-Opportunity-9070 C-Drive was filled up mysteriously? [iTunes, Windows 10]

I apologize in advance for all the context I’m going to provide, haha. Honestly, I am at least a little scared that this could be something bad.
I have the latest version or 2nd-latest version of Windows 10 on my PC. I have a 500GB SSD, and before all of this, it had maybe 50-75GB of space remaining. My iPhone 12 Pro had IOS 14.
I wanted to backup my iPhone because I finally had an urgent need to update its IOS, so I installed iTunes on my PC. Then I connected my iPhone to my PC via cable and attempted a backup, and left my PC and phone alone for a while. When I came back, there was a notification in iTunes saying that the backup couldn’t be completed due to a lack of space on my PC.
I opened my Files program to see if I could clear some space. I noticed that the C-Drive indicated that it had less space than when I had checked it last. I clicked on a different folder, then back to the first one. There was even less available space indicated this time. I clicked back and forth repeatedly until there were only a few MB left. Later, it freed up a little, to 5 GB. While this was going on, I attempted to google my problem, but Firefox had stopped loading new pages and my cursor’s loading animation would play while having Firefox open. (After a shutdown, Firefox seems to be working again.)
What bothers me is, why was the value indicating available space changing like that, how did things get where they are now, how bad are they, and how do I fix it? A friend suggested it was iTunes bloatware, but I thought I had already completed its installation on my PC. Is it because I attempted a backup, and the data was taking up space on my drive even though the backup couldn’t be completed? Or is it what I truly fear, that by connecting my PC to my phone with its out-of-date IOS, I had unknowingly transferred some sort of virus to my PC? (I have Malwarebytes Premium on my PC, and a Quick Scan didn’t return any questionable files. I then attempted a full custom scan, but after 4 hours, it was only about 90% of the way through the process, and its rate of checked files per minute had dropped exponentially.) I tried googling my problem, but I probably don’t know how to use it effectively or something.
Thank you in advance!

2024.06.02 10:05 TheCrustyCurmudgeon Questions about Hyperbackup Signature Version

Hyperbackup’s “Signature Version” setting is available for S3 custom servers. The options are V2 or V4. The Synology documentation reads:
Backing up files to the path-style buckets is supported only when you select Custom Server URL for the S3 server and the signature version is V4.
But I can find nothing to explain to me what a path-style bucket is other than some info on AWS re: buckets that have path-style URL access. I also found one post from a Scalaway user suggesting that the provider made a server change that rendered their V2 setting inoperable. Backblaze guides tell the user to select V4, but offer no further explanation.
Can anyone “splain” this to me? What is the difference? Are there advantages/disadvantages? Is there absolutely one I should choose for Storj & Why?? Are their any risks to changing this at any point?

2024.06.02 09:59 Simpattywappez Recommendation of Vet Clinics in Manila or Metro Manila

Recommendation of Vet Clinics in Manila or Metro Manila
Hello Cat furrents! First time posting here. I just badly need your recommendations/piece of advice about best Vet Clinics in Manila or Near Manila. (Long post ahead please read huhu) For background story, I have 8 cats in our house and we also do stray feeding some cats outside of our house. My oldest cat is 9 years old last May. Last year September I observed my 9 year old cat that she have toothache, pinopaw niya yung right face niya. We went to vet clinic where our two dogs also went, nag blood test siya kung may other problem pa yung cat ko. The result came, ang sabi ng vet niya problem lang sa teeth niya is may tartar so she then removed the tartar and injected antibiotics, nadetect na may UTI raw yung cat ko kaya nag prescribed din siya ng supplements and antibiotics for UTI. She went back to normal. But this 2024, again sumakit nanaman yung teeth niya which is bumalik kami sa vet but again shot lang antibiotic twice plus prophylaxis pero wala sinabi sinabi if may tooth decayed ba or need ng removal of teeth na. After a week sumakit nanaman teeth niya kasi pinopaw p rin niya yung teeth niya. We went to another vet clinic for second opinion para sa teeth niya kasi nahihirapan na talaga siya mag eat. Another blood test and the results came, may kidney problem na raw ang cat ko pero yung problem sa teeth niya no solution p rin. The 2nd Vet prescribed for her kidney and follow up check up is needed. We went for a follow up check up but the other vet in the same clinic told us that my cat needed dental x-ray because they cannot do a surgery without dental x-ray. Their clinic don’t have dental x ray kaya he wrote a referral letter for our chosen vet clinic which offer dental x ray. We went to the 3rd clinic in Mandaluyong this May lang din, we gave the referral letter to the assigned vet. She runs again CBC test and SDMA (for kidney). Bad news came, the result of the test stated that my cat has already Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease and cannot proceed the dental procedure because the anesthesia hesia that they will give may lead to cardiac arrest. The vet gave me two options. 1st is to confine my cat 1-2 days to stabilize her but there is no cure to her CKD, told me that may cat’s lifespan is only 1-2 months. 2nd option is to euthanize my cat. My cat is strong but her teeth hinders her to eat and causes too much pain for her. Ang sakit makita na yung pet mo na pumapayat and kahit soft food na hindi na niya makain. I chose option 1 because I will not give on her up easily. We confined her just last saturday. To cut the story short, nagbigay ng medicine and for maintenance to my cat yung vet before we went home then follow up check up na lang daw. Pero na observed ko na maas nanghina yung cat ko instead na maging okay. I don’t want my cat to go back there dahil sa nangyari. Please please recommend where can I bring my cat. 🥺

2024.06.02 09:55 No_Recording_6287 Taking the exact amount of pictures requested

There are two stories that I will be posting separately since I wrote them much longer than I thought I would have.
During the holidays, I work as an assistant manager at what is essentially a retail photo op booth, pictures with a mall Santa. The company normally wants us to only take a maximum of three pictures per group. The problem with this for us is that the pictures are purchased in expensive packages (ranging from $40-50 for 3 different options, with each add on picture being $10, meaning that getting the smallest package and a single add on would cost the same as the largest package but with less items). The most expensive package includes several print outs big and small of two poses separated evenly between them and a digital file that has access to each click of the camera. The middle package only gave you the small print outs and the digital file, and the cheapest package only gave you the small photos.
When we aren’t busy, we like to take our time with each family to make sure we get the most out of the pictures and give them a good experience. The system lets us take up to 15 pictures before some pics have a chance of being accidentally deleted off the system so we try to get as close as we can. So if you got a package with a digital file, you would have a lot of extra pictures that were printed out.
One morning, me and another assistant manager were the only ones on set for the first hour, let’s call her Jessie. I love her, we all did, she was a super nice woman who sometimes gave too much good treatment to nice customers, even going as far to outright break rules. She was also very petty to rude customers.
We were on maybe our 5th customer of the slow morning, it’s early in the season and no one comes in early December to get their Santa photos, when one lady, let’s call her Karen, with her like 5 kids starts getting really impatient. (She wasn’t in line for more than maybe 10 minutes and when we get busy most people would be in line for anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours.) Jessie goes over to talk to her while I’m taking pictures of the family I have with me, but I was listening to their conversation. I’m paraphrasing but it goes something like this:
Jessie: Hi ma’am can I help you? What seems to be the problem?
Karen: Do you have to take so much time with all of them?
Jessie: We are trying to give every child their time with Santa Claus. The experience is the best part-
Karen(interrupting): We’ve been waiting here for over an hour! Just take one damn picture and send them away.
Jessie: Ma’am-
Karen(interrupting again): I don’t care hurry this shit up. Just one picture per family, that’s how it should be.
I could hear Jessie’s eye twitch as I finished up with the current family.
Jessie: You are right ma’am we should be doing one photo per family.
Right on cue I waved at her to tell her I was ready for the next family. She asks me to finish ringing up the previous family while she took care of Karen.
Per Karen’s request, Jessie situated everyone perfectly and set up the camera. She took a single click of the camera, didn’t even check if it was a good picture, and told Karen they were all done. She ushered them to the cash register and made sure she didn’t let any of the kids stay behind to talk to Santa Claus. The kids thankfully didn’t seem to mind too much as I would’ve felt bad for punishing kids for their parents behavior.
The kicker is that with that one picture Karen begrudgingly still bought the most expensive package, which includes the digital file that normally would’ve had access to every photo, but now only has that one lone picture.

2024.06.02 09:14 Siu_Mai Lack of support for the account region issue has killed some of my excitement for Dawntrail

And it makes me so sad.
I know that it's not the fault of the FFXIV dev team and it's all on the SQUEX management side.
But the way that it's been handled has just been so disappointing. No acknowledgement, no explanation, no plan of action.
For those who might be unaware, You are unable to change the region of your account or even the country listed on your address. Which is so incredibly dumb to not even be able to give an accurate address.
This issue has affected people since the games launch but with the payment system updates it's prevented the work arounds many had been using.
In these discussions I've seen people say things like "oh, just use PayPal or buy Crysta" but these are not payment options in every country. And in 2024 there really is not excuse for not allowing people to at least update their address. People should not be making excuses for this multimillion dollar company.
In my case I moved from UK to EU and I am not able to update my country of residence and pay my sub in Euros.. which is actually a bit more expensive than in pounds sterling. So I'm actually trying to give them more money and they won't allow me to....
One player told me when he pointed out that SQUEX was in violation of EU GDPR (right to rectification) to customer service, they offered (threatened) to delete his account as the only solution. After years of subscriptions and cosmetics purchased on both his and his wife's accounts.
The lack of care from SQUEX and acknowledgement is beyond disappointing for me. Whenever I see new Dawntrail info there's a voice in the back of my head wondering if I'll even be able to access my 2.0 account in a couple of years due to some other payment system update...

2024.06.02 09:05 StunningWeekend Long-Time iPhone User After 72 hours With Android (Pixel 8 then Samsung S24 Ultra) - My Reflections So Far

(Note: I posted this on Android but I wasn't sure if I did something incorrect because it was removed by the bot immediately, and I don't know how to get it approved. So... if you see it there too, then it must have gotten approved at some point and that's why. Just trying to find a home for this discussion and I promise I'm not trying to spam!)
After a decade with iPhone, curiosity finally got the better of me and I made the switch to Android. My trusty iPhone 13 Mini is still there just in case, but I really do hope to sell it soon. I wanted to document my journey over the last 72 hours with Android in case it helps someone else sitting on the margin just looking to dive in.
These 10 things are simply my opinions and reflections! I'm sure my feelings will continue to evolve, but here's where I'm at after 3 days. As I started typing, I did not expect this to be so long, but I had so many things floating through my head. Sorry for the long read and I'd love to hear others who have made similar changes.
1. Sloppy first impressions: I started with a Pixel 8. Got it for $390, in like new condition during eBay's memorial day sale, and just couldn't pass up that deal. The look of the phone never really attracted me before, but after a few hours it really grew on me. However, I really started to get annoyed at the experience and polish. For example, I had a lot of screens where the text was cut off or folders where the text was cut off. There were system pop-ups where I was expected to approve something that disappeared within a second before I could even read it - was it approved or was it declined?! But what really was upsetting was that there's no way to sort notifications by time. The phone would beep and then I'd have to spend a few seconds trying to figure out what the heck the notification was amidst the long list. Half the time, the time stamp doesn't even show and I'm left wondering if I missed something. This was exacerbated when I started not receiving notifications I would expect, because my iPhone (which was still on WiFi only mode) was getting notifications for new Gmail messages for example, and the Pixel just stayed quiet. That was unacceptable and I decided to return the phone.
However, my significant other has a Samsung, and she mentioned never having these issues so I stuck it out and tried again. This time, I figured - go big or go home - and I got the Samsung S24 Ultra.
2. Much better second try: I read a lot of bad experiences about the UI of Samsung coming into this, but frankly it's a lot more polished than the Pixel. It's like there's a nice coat of paint over all the underlying workings and as an iPhone user, I appreciate that. Everything looks great and while I've been toying with some of the themes in the Galaxy store, I have gone back to the normal One UI each time.
3. Smart Switch works great. It took about an hour to transfer all my settings and applications over to the Samsung. The only thing that took a little bit of figuring out was how to get 25K+ iCloud backed up photos onto this phone. Fortunately, there's an official Apple method for transferring iCloud files to Google Photos, and I initiated that. It's still not done but assuming this goes to plan, the transfer process wasn't that bad at all. I pretty much plopped my iPhone sim card into the Android, spent an hour waiting, and then all my old applications, wallpapers, and even placement of icons was there. Then, I just spent about half an hour signing into everything that I needed to (1Password is hugely helpful!) and I'm off to the races.
4. Settings galore: I am not used to this many settings! It seems I am approving or declining permissions all day long. I have multiple Gmail accounts setup, and I have to go in and adjust each account's notification setting when I just want all of my Gmail messages to have the same setting. I thought I would like this level of customization but it's been a little frustrating finding everything, or trying to figure out what I'm even approving. I find myself on YouTube looking for videos for how to change things such as the lock screen shortcuts. I am hoping that once I get through this initial difficulty, then I'll be cruising. And the biggest thing - Samsung lets me sort notifications in chronological order! That's huge (for me).
5. Navigation bars on top. Why?: I had a small iPhone Mini so one-handed navigation was never a real challenge but I still appreciated how all the menu bars (Facebook, Safari, etc.) were on the bottom of the phone. It made navigation really easy. With all the customization I mentioned in #3, I just assumed this would be an easy fix on Android and I'd be able to change this for any app. I was wrong! Other than Firefox, I have not figured out how to do this in Chrome or Facebook (as an example). I really do not understand why the iPhone version of Facebook would have this on the bottom but the Android version would have it on the top! For a phone as big as the S24U, that would've been a really nice option.
6. PhoneLink is pretty good: I had gotten rid of my Macbook a long time ago. I basically live on my Phone and also have an iPad for when I need a bigger screen and a Windows desktop for professional work. Integration b/w devices was never a big deal to me but I put I setup Phone Link and it's been pretty good. I don't have any real complaints so far - I can transfer files and get all my notifications and respond directly from my computer.
7. Dex is really cool but also buggy: The dream of having only to carry around my phone and never having to open up a laptop, tablet or desktop would be amazing. This phone is definitely powerful enough for the applications I use for work - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. But Dex has some weird quirks that make it a little unreliable. For example, every time I open up an image in Gallery on Dex, the screen goes black for a few seconds before coming back on. Close the picture? Same thing! The cursor scroll just isn't as smooth as on my Desktop machine where I can customize the DPI settings exactly on the Logitech app. These are small things but build up into a less than perfect experience. But when it works, it works great and it's so close to a dream realized.
8. Face unlock is pretty bad, and the fingerprint reader can be hit or miss: FaceID on iPhone was a pleasure to use, except when it's not - i.e., I'm lying in bed. But for most situations, it works pretty good. For those moments I do wish I had a fingerprint reader so it's really nice to have that on the Samsung. But with that said, the Face unlock is horrendously bad. It works about 3/4 of the time in good light and then never in low light. I think the fingerprint reader is 80% successful on the first try for me but that's still lower than I think it should be. Perhaps I should re-register my finger. (Also, what's up with the super bright fingerprint reader on the Pixel 8? I feel like I was staring at the sun every time went to activate it! That said, it does feel like the Pixel's face unlock is better than Samsung). And on the topic of security, I think one of the biggest things I miss is Apple Pay. Some of my favorite go-to restaurants locally let me order online and pay directly using Apple Pay. Now I have to memorize my credit card number....
9. This thing is super powerful. I think people who choose Android chose it for two primary reasons: customization (which I mention in #2 and #3) and power to be productive. It has been very cool to be able to export files from one app directly into another app, edit it there, and save it as a file and then transfer it to my desktop. On iPhone, it was never a certainty which applications I'd be able to import files directly into but on Samsung it seems everything is available. There's always a workaround or solution or a method to doing something and that's been pretty cool. The Snapdragon processor is quick and the screen is beautiful. It's a great media consumption device and I hope it continues to be as snappy as it is now, because 7 years of updates is a very long time!
10. But the size of this phone is kinda insane. Especially coming from an iPhone mini, this thing is so big! It literally does even fit in my pockets when I am sitting and I've had it slide out a couple times onto the floor already because so much physically hangs out of my pants when seated. If Samsung made a smaller Ultra version of the phone in the same size as the S24, then that would be perfect (kinda like how Apple has the Pro and Pro Max). I think if there's a reason I end up going back to iPhone, it's because of the size of this thing. I want something as powerful as the Ultra but in a smaller package, and I haven't found another company that makes something like that. I don't have a case yet and maybe a more textured case will resolve this.
I'll keep this experiment going as I want to make a real effort to switch. Looking forward to continued learning!

Franklin-Christoph Nagahara Broad Italic Cursive - what's your experience?
I got this Nagahara nib with a pen from FC about two months ago (and their customer service was excellent), but haven't been able to get it to work well for me... I had only tried Lamy and Narvalhur stubs before, not italics, but I did expect more crispness. However, I didn't expect so much driness and pencil-like (not like it's misaligned, but like a very hard pencil) feedback, in any writing position and at any angle. It also seems medium, not broad. What I've done: Washed several times with slightly soapy water Tried several inks including Shin-Ryoku Put the nib into another pen I know to be very wet Tried several papers Read up on italic lettering and tried different things (work in progress) Used brass shims carefully, left one between the tines overnight
The result is still the same: it's dry and noisy, and to produce a good-looking line I have to slow down massively and slightly press (it doesn't really write under its own weight).
Still, I'm wondering: what if this is how italics are supposed to be?

2024.06.02 08:52 Practical_Appeal_317 Creality Falcon Laser Air Assist

Hi,
anyone here using the Falcon 7.5W laser from creality with their air assist kit? The creality air assist kit states it's for the Falcon 10W laser module! Are the connections different for the nozzle?! Creality customer service says it only fits the 10W machine, but depending on their region settings for their online shop they sell the same kit for the 5W laser too (says for Falcon 5W/10W). I'm wondering if they just missed to update compatibility as I had the feeling the customer service also didn't understand what my question was about.

🔗Adidas Prime 6 Extra-Large Gym Backpack for Laptop and Work

I've recently started using the Adidas Prime 6 Backpack for my daily commute, and I must say, it's been a game changer. First and foremost, the recycled material used in its construction not only feels sturdy but also gives me peace of mind knowing that I'm doing my part for the environment. The shoulder straps are designed with LoadSpring technology, which truly does help ease the weight of my daily load.
One of the standout features of this backpack is the cleaning process. Unlike many other bags, you can easily clean this one with soap and water, ensuring it stays fresh and free from any accumulated grime. The exterior has five zip pockets and an internal zip storage pocket, making it incredibly convenient for me to stay organized and keep all my essentials within reach.
However, no product is perfect. While the capacity is ample and more than meets my needs, I have noticed that the zippers can be a bit finicky at times, requiring some extra effort to open and close. Additionally, the material, although easy to clean, may not be as long-lasting as some other options on the market.
Despite these minor cons, the Adidas Prime 6 Backpack has quickly become my go-to choice for daily use. Its combination of stylish design, ample storage, and environmentally conscious construction make it a true standout in the world of gym bags.

Imagine carrying a backpack that's not just spacious, but extremely comfortable, with the added bonus of being incredibly durable. As a student or traveler, this Adidas Prime 6 Backpack is a dream come true!
From the moment I got my hands on it, I was impressed by its size. It's extra-large, perfect for those days when you need to carry a lot of stuff around. However, it's not only about capacity. The features that make this bag stand out include LoadSpring shoulder straps. They're designed to help distribute the weight evenly, making heavy loads feel much lighter.
Cleaning is also a breeze with this backpack. The wipe-able lining means that you can easily spot clean it with soap and water, keeping your bag looking fresh and new. There are also multiple zippered pockets, providing ample storage space for all your belongings. Not to forget, a padded compartment that securely stores up to a 15-inch laptop.
However, no product is perfect. While the majority of users praised its durability, a few individuals reported issues with seams not being sewn properly. Despite these minor issues, the overwhelming majority of reviews were positive, praising the style, comfort, and convenience of this backpack.
In conclusion, the Adidas Prime 6 Backpack is a fantastic option for anyone in need of a large backpack that's both comfortable and reliable. Its capacity, coupled with its padded laptop compartment and multiple zippered pockets, makes it a perfect companion for daily use or extended travel.

🔗Adidas Graphic Oversized Duffel Bag for Sports and Travel

https://preview.redd.it/qikeu533v34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=610647d983b8b489bf32b54a51e6622f59603435
Adidas has always been top-notch when it comes to athletic wear and accessories, and this Graphic Duffel Bag is no exception! I'm currently using it for my weekend trips to the gym and it's been a real lifesaver. The size is perfect, not too big and not too small, which means it's easy to carry, even when it's loaded up with all my gym essentials.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the duffel. The material is sturdy and thick, so I know it's going to last a long time. Plus, the large graphic screen print on the side gives it a stylish edge. The bag also features a zipper closure and 93% Polyester, 3% Natural Latex Rubber, 2% Spandex, 2% Nylon blend, which gives it a nice structure.
One feature I absolutely love is the adjustable shoulder strap. It makes it so convenient to carry the bag, especially when it's packed filled with stuff. You can either carry it over your shoulder or across your body. It's so comfortable and doesn't strain my shoulder at all.
A small pocket in the bag adds to the convenience. It's perfect for storing keys or a small wallet. Although there's no specific spot for a water bottle, I usually just toss it in with the rest of my stuff and it works out fine.
A few cons worth mentioning are that the bag isn't very light, which can be a bit cumbersome when it's empty. However, it's manageable when you're carrying it on your shoulder. Another minor inconvenience is that there are no straps or hooks for a yoga mat or extra shoes on the outside, you'll have to make do with cramming them inside.
Overall, this Adidas Graphic Duffel Bag has been a game-changer for my gym trips. It's durable, spacious, and stylish, all while being convenient to carry. I've recommended this bag to all my workout buddies and they're all loving it too!

🔗Adidas Team Issue II Duffel Bag - Durable Gym Bag for Professionals

https://preview.redd.it/eq6hkvl3v34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=66f27638b832bcedca3db5d4788a102330b0c6dc

As someone who's been using the Adidas Team Issue II Medium Duffel Bag Black for quite some time now, let me tell you, it's a game-changer! Whether you're heading to the gym or packing for a weekend getaway, this bag has got your back.
First off, the durability is top-notch. Crafted in poly ripstop with reinforced panels at zippers and stress points, this bag is made to last. It also maintains its shape, making it super easy to access your stuff even when it's fully packed.
One of my favorite features is the zip end pocket designed specifically for shoes or dirty clothes. It keeps everything separated and organized, which is a big plus in my book. There's also a zip pocket at the outer face perfect for storing small items like keys or your phone.
Now, onto the straps. The dual carry handles with padded hook-and-loop panel provide comfort while carrying and the adjustable, removable shoulder strap adds versatility. Plus, did I mention how spacious the interior is? It can easily accommodate 2-3 outfits along with shoes and other essentials.
In terms of cons, the only one I could think of is that it might not be big enough for everyone's needs. However, for most people, myself included, it's absolutely perfect.
So, if you're in the market for a new gym bag or just need something practical and stylish for travel, the Adidas Team Issue II Medium Duffel Bag Black is definitely worth considering.

🔗Adidas Prime 6 Extra-Large Backpack - Grey

https://preview.redd.it/s4w0v0v3v34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1b35d26692cea91e902bbf48604b36128585f20
As a fitness enthusiast, I've been using the Adidas Prime 6 Backpack in grey for all my workouts and daily commutes. The moment I saw this bag, I was drawn to its sleek design and vibrant colors. Little did I know, it would become a reliable companion during my intense workout sessions and daily office routine.
One of the most noticeable features of this backpack is its capacity. It's got plenty of pockets both inside and outside, making it incredibly convenient to store all my essentials - from a fresh towel and spare clothes to my laptop and office files. The padded compartment for my 12-inch laptop gives me peace of mind knowing that my device is well-protected.
The LoadSpring shoulder straps are another standout feature. They've made carrying heavy loads much more comfortable, especially when I'm rushing between classes or heading straight to the gym after work. Plus, the easy-to-clean material means I don't have to worry about sweat or dirt ruining its appearance.
However, one con I've noticed is that the sides of the backpack don't provide much support, which can cause the contents to shift around during intense physical activity. But overall, the Adidas Prime 6 Backpack has been an excellent addition to my workout gear. Its durability, convenient storage design, and visual appeal make it worth its price tag.

🔗Adidas Diablo Small Duffel Bag

https://preview.redd.it/24jd4sg4v34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0e36123b5ed3ba80c5a43250cef88e6326c662a7
I've been using this Adidas Diablo Duffel Bag for a while now, and it's quickly become my go-to bag for trips to the gym or a weekend getaway. This small bag packs a lot of punch; the main compartment is large and easy to load up with all my workout gear. The adjustable shoulder strap makes it incredibly comfortable to carry around, and the bold screen-printed Adidas brandmark on the front adds a nice touch of style.
One feature that I appreciate is the free side panel left for customizing with our team's logo. This bag is also incredibly lightweight and easy to clean, which is a huge plus for someone as messy as me! The only downside I've noticed is that there are no side pockets, but in keeping with its simple design, this duffel efficiently holds all my stuff in one place.
All in all, I'm really happy with the Diablo Small. It's the perfect size for a gym bag or a small overnighter, and it looks good doing it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a versatile and sleek bag for their active lifestyle.

🔗Stylish modern hide a bed chair - convertible sleeper chair with comfortable pillows and pockets

https://preview.redd.it/ddv86hx4v34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=257a014ed1152bd6cc211157979cfae3df06736d
I've been using the Adidas Santiago Duffel Bag for a few weeks now and boy, is it a game-changer! The first thing that caught my eye was the retro design - I mean, who wouldn't love a throwback to those classic Adidas styles? The screen-printed branding on all four sides adds just the right touch of sophistication.
One of the standout features has to be the spacious main compartment. It's large enough to fit everything you need for a weekend getaway, yet compact enough to carry around easily. Plus, the two endcap pockets with zippers are perfect for keeping smaller items organized and within reach.
The adjustable shoulder strap is another highlight. Not only does it make carrying the bag incredibly comfortable, but it also allows me to adjust the length according to my height, making it feel like it was made just for me.
On the downside, the 750D fabric, while durable, might not be as water-resistant as some other materials out there. So, you might want to keep an eye on the weather forecast if you're planning on using this bag for outdoor activities.
All in all, I'm absolutely thrilled with the Adidas Santiago Duffel Bag! Its combination of style, functionality, and comfort makes it the perfect choice for anyone in search of a reliable gym bag that stands out from the crowd.

🔗Adidas Diablo Small Gym Duffel Bag

https://preview.redd.it/3pqilsf5v34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a908dcdfcd4ab19c4d70441908dee8a9d7b0e040

I've been a loyal user of the Adidas Diablo Small Duffel Bag for quite some time now. As someone who frequently hits the gym, I value convenience and durability in a bag, and this one delivers on both counts. Its compact size doesn't compromise on storage, fitting in all my workout essentials with ease.
One of the standout features is its padded straps. They're incredibly comfortable and make carrying the bag a breeze, even when it's loaded up. The zipper closure provides added security, while the attractive color options allow me to choose a bag that aligns with my personal style.
However, there are a few downsides. Some users might find the lack of side pockets or additional compartments limiting, especially if they carry a lot of items to the gym. Additionally, the lightweight nature of the bag can make it feel slightly flimsier than one would expect from an Adidas product.
In conclusion, the Adidas Diablo Small Duffel Bag is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a compact, durable, and comfortable gym bag. Its capacity may be on the smaller side, but if you're someone who prefers a streamlined approach to packing, this bag will certainly serve you well.

🔗Adidas Court Lite Duffel Bag

I've been using the Adidas Court Lite Duffel Bag Black/White for quite some time now and I must say, it's perfect for my daily routine. The bold adidas graphic really stands out, giving it a sport-inspired style that I absolutely love. The size is just right - not too big, not too small, making it perfect for trips to the gym or short overnights.
One feature that stood out was the adjustable strap. It made carrying the bag a breeze, even when it was filled to the brim. The main compartment is spacious enough for all my workout essentials, while the exterior pockets provide added convenience to store smaller items like my phone and keys.
However, some reviewers mentioned that the size might be smaller than expected. Although I didn't face this issue personally, it's worth considering if you're looking for a bigger bag. Another minor con is that there could be more compartments inside for better organization.
All in all, the Adidas Court Lite Duffel Bag Black/White is a stylish, well-made bag that offers ample storage capacity. It's been a reliable companion on all my gym trips and short getaways. If you're considering a similar bag, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a go.

Do Adidas gym bags have separate compartments for shoes and wet clothing?

Many Adidas gym bags, like the Adidas Diablo Duffle Bag and Adidas Tournament 16 Backpack, feature separate compartments designed for shoes and wet or dirty clothing. This helps keep the rest of your items clean and organized while you're on the go.

  1. Consider the types of items you need to carry, such as clothes, shoes, toiletries, and electronics.

  3. Consider your personal preferences for style, materials, and features, such as straps, compartments, and zippers.

Are Adidas gym bags waterproof?

Some Adidas gym bags offer water-resistant or waterproof materials, providing protection from light rain and moisture. However, not all bags are designed to be fully waterproof, so it's essential to check the specifications of the bag you're interested in to determine its level of water resistance.

Do Adidas gym bags come with a warranty?

Adidas offers a one-year limited warranty on most of its products, including gym bags. If you have any issues with your bag within the warranty period, contact Adidas's customer service for assistance.

How can I maximize the lifespan of my Adidas gym bag?

  • Store your bag in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Avoid overloading your bag, as this can strain the seams and cause damage.
  • Clean your bag regularly and spot-clean any spills or stains promptly to prevent long-term damage.
  • Avoid exposing your bag to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to degrade over time.

2024.06.02 08:47 throwaway_hina_scam HotelsInAmerica is a unquestionably a scam and it's not the only one

To all those curious travelers who saw an excellent price on Google:
HotelsInAmerica.com (HinA) is at best incompetent, and at worst a massive scam operation.
TL/DR: Linked to several other scam sites, no help desk support, unless you confirm immediately you'll likely be stranded.
Allow me to take you more patient readers on my journey.
In February, I made my reservation for this summer at a Hilton in a major US city. Several days later, I called the hotel to verify my information. No record of my visit was in their system. Calling HinA support, I was told this was usual and it might take a few weeks. I repeated this cycle one or two more times, and eventually was escalated to the HinA "Amendment Team".
Success! I got an email from travelhelpdesk@super.com (who knows how much they're paying for that domain). They had a booking reservation number from Hilton! I promptly called the Hilton hotel to verify this number, and was met with confusion. No record of that reservation. I sent more emails back to both Super.com and HinA, heard nothing back.
Eventually, I called a more general Hilton customer support line. Through a lovely customer support agent, I found out a few things about this Hilton booking number. First, it was for the wrong hotel, about 20 miles away from where I had booked originally. Second, this reservation had been canceled a few weeks after I had created it! The cancellation was from a company called Illusions Online (iOL), and she provided me with two phone numbers linked to the cancellation. I was able to hunt down the company, headquartered in Dubai. I verified both phone numbers, one of which was linked to iOL X which seems to provide the business-to-business support for making the reservations.
I proceeded to continue calling HinA support, speaking with various members of this mysterious "Amendment Team", all of whom said my reservation was still booked and good to go, at the correct hotel. None of them mentioned their travel partners or would pass me to anyone higher up.
Eventually I got fed up and contacted the iOL X phone number that I got from Hilton. There, I was able to find that the reservation was, in fact, canceled. I was also told of yet another agency, HappyTravel.com, which seems to have requested the cancelation. No reason was given, but this customer support representative also told me they'd work with their unnamed "travel partners" to resolve the situation. I still haven't heard back.
Today, my HinA confirmation page is still showing a successful booking but obviously it's an outright lie. As best as I can connect the dots, one of the various "Travel Partners" under this umbrella made a mistake, canceled the booking, and left me with no update or additional information. There seems to be a web of these travel sites (HotelsInAmerica, Super, HappyTravel) that somehow get past Google's filters, and all fall under the web of Illusions Online.
Do yourself a favor and avoid these sites. You might get lucky. Or you might end up like me, cold-calling Dubai after months of hunting down your reservation.

🔗Steambow AR-6 Stinger II Tactical Crossbow - High-Performance Hunting Accessory

https://preview.redd.it/zys75ipht34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b802f5e0aefebba3996bff911061419aefbb4b0f
The Steambow AR-6 Stinger II Tactical has definitely made an impact in my daily life. The first thing that caught my attention was its sleek design. The impact-resistant polymer construction is not only durable but also UV-resistant, which is a great feature for outdoor use. The length-adjustable AR-style buttstock along with the standard buffer tube provides a comfortable grip.
One of the standout features for me was the maximum velocity of up to 220 FPS and a maximum energy of up to 15.2 FPE. I could really feel the power behind each shot! The ridged and textured pistol grip made holding it steady during use much easier.
However, there were a couple of drawbacks. The instructions booklet was virtually useless, and I had to rely on a video to assemble it. Additionally, the shims were quite frustrating. Despite these small setbacks, the crossbow performed well and was a lot of fun to use. Overall, I'd recommend this to someone looking for an affordable and powerful crossbow.

🔗Affordable Compact Crossbow for Various Uses

https://preview.redd.it/rb8nmmxht34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60c3b88bc2697330eb35f4ac873e9455022f0869
The AR-6 Stinger II Compact Crossbow Black 414, a compact and versatile crossbow that has become a staple in my outdoor adventures. Its ease of use and portability have made it a go-to choice for a variety of activities.
The draw weight of 35 pounds ensures a sturdy and reliable shot, while its compact design makes it perfect for hunting in tight spaces or carrying during longer excursions. However, despite its strong points, I've noticed that it can be quite noisy, which might be a concern for those in more sensitive shooting environments. Overall, the AR-6 Stinger II Compact Crossbow Black 414 strikes a balance between performance and convenience, making it a worthwhile investment for hunting enthusiasts on a budget.

🔗High-Performance Acudraw Crossbow for Hunters

https://preview.redd.it/8qfszpmit34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6c3449efc49913aa0e26406b88e3d3748e0f5ae
I recently discovered the Wicked Ridge RDX 400 Acudraw crossbow, and I must say, it has completely changed my perceptions about crossbows. The RDX 400 is a beautiful balance of speed, accuracy, and affordability. It has a power stroke of 15.5 inches and can shoot up to 400 feet per second. The perfectly balanced reverse-draw design utilizes the full power stroke for lightning-fast speeds and consistent down-range accuracy.
I love the ACUdraw Pro feature, making cocking a breeze. The included mounted scope, quiver, and arrows deliver a complete package, perfect for both beginners and experienced hunters alike. The compact size of the crossbow (only 9 inches wide) adds to its ease of use and portability.
However, there have been a couple of small drawbacks in my experience. The first is the width options of 9 and 15 inches—the 9-inch width is too narrow for a complete cocking device, so I found myself using the cocking rope more often than not. Secondly, the string serving broke after just 20-25 shots, which was quite disappointing.
Despite these minor issues, the Wicked Ridge RDX 400 Acudraw crossbow has proven to be a reliable, fast, and accurate hunting companion. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the thrill of crossbow hunting without breaking the bank.

🔗Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Reverse-Draw Crossbow with ACUdraw Silent and Pro-View 400 Scope

https://preview.redd.it/l31jm2vit34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5d8c29572a591ac487525e492f21428c5f6c76bd
As a reviewer who has been using the Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Crossbow in their daily life, I've had the opportunity to explore its features and experience the benefits it offers. One of the highlights for me has been the ease of use and cocking with the ACUdraw Silent, a feature that allows for silent cocking and reduces the draw weight significantly.
The reversed-draw design provides a smoother shot and better balance for increased accuracy, making it a top choice among other crossbows in the market. The state-of-the-art Pro-View 400 Scope comes with aimpoints out to 70 yards and an updated reticle for improved down-range accuracy.
However, one downside I've noticed is the occasional noise and vibration, which may be addressed by some users with the integrated String Stop System. While the crossbow is a great value, some reviewers have faced issues with the warranty and customer support, which could be essential for future purchases or repeat customers.
Overall, despite the minor drawbacks, the Wicked Ridge RDX 410 Crossbow is a superior choice for those looking to experience the thrill of crossbow hunting with ease and accuracy in their arsenal.

🔗Adjustable Compact Pink Crossbow for Outdoor Fun

Using the Bear x Desire XL Pistol Crossbow has been an exciting adventure in my backyard. The compact design of this pistol crossbow makes it easy to store and transport, yet it's powerful and accurate. The self-cocking arm and forearm grip are perfect for beginners like me, and the adjustable stock allows for comfort and increased stability while shooting. The velocity of 175 FPS makes target practice enjoyable and the 60-pound draw weight provides a challenge without being too overwhelming.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks to this pistol crossbow. The supplied aluminum bolts with plastic push-in fletchings are prone to breaking upon impact with firm surfaces, and the cocking stock latch tends to break almost immediately. These issues are frustrating, but they do not significantly detract from the overall performance of the pistol crossbow.
In conclusion, the Bear x Desire XL Pistol Crossbow offers a fun and user-friendly shooting experience for beginners and enthusiasts alike. Its adjustable stock, compact design, and powerful velocity make it an excellent choice for backyard target practice. However, the flimsy bolts and faulty latch might require replacement over time.

🔗Affordable Wicked Ridge Invader Crossbow with ACUdraw and Pro-View 400 Scope

I recently had the chance to try out the Wicked Ridge Invader M1 crossbow, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. As a beginner with crossbow hunting, this product was an excellent addition to my gear. The built-in ACUdraw crank cocking device proved to be a game-changer, significantly reducing the draw weight and making cocking a breeze.
One of the standout features was the 70-yard Pro-View 400 scope, which offered impressive aimpoints and a cleaner view for improved accuracy. The scope's updated reticle made a noticeable difference when taking shots at various distances. Additionally, the crossbow's pre-sighting at 20 yards gave me confidence that it would perform well on the hunt.
The fact that this crossbow is built in the United States was a nice touch, and the craftsmanship was evident upon handling the device. The inclusion of a Pro-View 400 scope, 3 Match 400 arrows, and a 3-arrow quiver made the package even more appealing.
However, there were a couple of downsides I encountered during my experience. Firstly, the compact size of the crossbow made it slightly uncomfortable for me to carry and handle for extended periods. Additionally, the weight of the crossbow was a bit heavier than expected, making it challenging for me to carry it around for hours in the field.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Wicked Ridge Invader M1 crossbow proved to be a reliable and efficient hunting companion. The combination of features and performance made it a valuable addition to my gear, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their crossbow or start their hunting journey.

🔗Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow Package with Rope Sled and Accessories

https://preview.redd.it/56d9ssdkt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=430c4bb0f0d13df88866dd82c411ec7bdb1bab3c
As a crossbow enthusiast, I've had the chance to try out the TenPoint Titan M1 Crossbow Package with its Rope Sled. When I first opened the package, I was impressed by the high-quality construction with its CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminum material. It was lightweight yet sturdy, and the compact design made it easy to carry during my hunting trips.
One of the standout features for me was the ACUdraw De-Cock system. It made taking off the safety a breeze, allowing me to quickly and safely aim at my target. However, at the same time, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the trigger. It wasn't as smooth as I expected, and it required quite a bit of effort to pull back.
Shooting with the TenPoint Titan M1 was a breeze, thanks to the powerful stroke and elongated inverted VX-5 cams. I was able to achieve pin-point accuracy and devastating speeds, and the included TenPoint 3x Pro-View 3 Scope made sighting in my targets a cinch.
The inclusion of the optional Rope-sled and ACUdraw cocking system made this package versatile and allowed me to choose which one suited my shooting style better. Although the stock itself could have been better, I was happy with the overall durability and performance of this crossbow.
In conclusion, the TenPoint Titan M1 Crossbow Package with Rope Sled is an impressive and powerful crossbow that can truly make a difference on your hunting trips. Despite some minor hiccups like the rough trigger and the stock, it has been an excellent addition to my outdoor gear.

🔗Revolutionary Crossbow with Advanced Technology and Unmatched Accuracy

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the TRX 515 crossbow from TenPoint, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. One of my favorite features was the reverse-draw design, which added a level of smoothness to the shot that I had never experienced before. It was also incredibly accurate, thanks to the twin-riser technology that reduced the riser flex and limb torq.
However, it did have a bit of a tricky cocking mechanism, as I had to make sure to use the patented ACU-slide Maxx system for silent and safe de-cocking. It definitely took a bit of practice to get used to, but once I got the hang of it, it was a great feature. I also appreciated the ambidextrous thumb safety, which allowed me to keep both hands on the crossbow and maintain my focus on the target.

🔗Tenpoint Titan M1 Crossbow: Fast and Powerful Hunting Companion

https://preview.redd.it/r803ot5lt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a12008c4c0679a7b27b3dd9513fa401683956db
I recently got my hands on the Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow and let me tell you, it's quite the experience. I've been crossbow hunting for a while now, so I was eager to see how this one would perform.
The first thing that stood out to me was the size of the crossbow. It's compact and easy to maneuver, making it perfect for those tight hunting spots. I especially loved the narrow width, which made it less hassle to carry around in the woods.
A feature that I enjoyed was the speed at which the crossbow shoots. It's capable of shooting arrows at an impressive 370 FPS, making it one of the faster models I've tried. The T5 trigger with its smooth pull and crisp break was a game-changer, making each shot feel more precise and controlled.
However, one area where the Titan M1 fell short was the durability. I experienced issues with the bowstring, which frayed and snapped after a few hundred shots. I reached out to the customer service team, and they were quick to help, but it was still an inconvenience.
In conclusion, the Tenpoint Titan M1 ACUdraw Crossbow is a good addition to any crossbow collection. With its high speed and compact design, it's sure to make your hunting experience a breeze. But be warned, there might be some durability issues that you'll need to keep an eye on. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

🔗Silent and Fast Crossbow Cocking Device, ACUdraw PRO by Tenpoint

https://preview.redd.it/4zlog7ilt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4fb49504fbeb55e9d30985201d8dc266035b332
I've had the chance to test out the Tenpoint ACUdraw Pro, and I must say, it has both its pros and cons. On one hand, the product is incredibly quiet, making it perfect for those who prefer hunting without any distractions. Additionally, I love how the ACUdraw Pro is fully integrated into the stock, making it a seamless and sleek addition to my crossbow.
However, there have been a few areas where I experienced some issues. For example, I found that the handle fitting was a bit off, making it difficult to fully utilize the product. Plus, I noticed that the crossbow took a bit longer to cock with the ACUdraw Pro compared to without it.
Overall, I've enjoyed using the Tenpoint ACUdraw Pro, but I believe there's definitely room for improvement. With a few adjustments and tweaks, this could become a fantastic addition to any crossbow enthusiast's arsenal.

I recently had the chance to try out the Wicked Ridge Rampage XS ACUdraw Crossbow, and I must say, it's a game-changer. As an avid hunter, the first thing that caught my eye was the ACUdraw system, which allows you to silently cock and safely de-cock with minimal effort. Not only does it save time, but it also adds a level of stealth to your hunting experience.
One of the highlights of this crossbow is its incredibly lightweight design, weighing in at just 6.5 pounds. It's perfect for those long days in the woods when every ounce counts. Additionally, the 31.5" length, 390 FPS speed, and 5.8 total pounds provide the power, accuracy, and maneuverability you need for a successful hunt.
The Rampage XS ACUdraw Crossbow also features a 3.5-pound trigger, Pro-View Scope with 3x magnification, and a 2.5" adjustment for greater accuracy and comfort. Overall, using this crossbow was a seamless and enjoyable experience, and I'm confident that it will be a reliable addition to any hunter's arsenal.

🔗High-Performance Acudraw Crossbow: 380 FPS Speed and Easy Cocking

I've been using the Wicked Ridge Commander M1 Crossbow for some time now, and let me tell you, it's a real game-changer. Despite its budget-friendly price tag, this crossbow punches well above its weight.
The ACUdraw cocking device is a dream to use, making the cocking process a breeze. The 4x multi-line scope offers accurate aiming up to 50 yards, and the fully coated optics are a massive plus. However, I must admit, the draw weight could be lighter for beginners.
All in all, the Commander M1 is a reliable and affordable choice for hunters and archers alike, offering the perfect balance of power and precision.

🔗Wicked Ridge Invader 400 Crossbow with ACUdraw 50 Cocking Device

https://preview.redd.it/ubtxgckmt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6155de7ba4255e8c8c90eee4bcb183b64c413102
Last fall, I took up crossbow hunting as a new hobby. I had been researching for months, reading reviews, and comparing different brands. From all the options available, the Wicked Ridge Invader 400 seemed to stand out. Here's my honest review of my experience and the features that really made a difference in my hunting journey.
The first thing I noticed about the Invader 400 was its amazing accuracy. With its fully adjustable Pro-View scope and 3-arrow instant-detach quiver, I was able to hit my targets with incredible precision. This feature was especially useful for my first hunting trip, where a close-range shot was crucial.
In terms of safety, the ACUdraw 50 cocking system made the crossbow feel much more secure when I was preparing to shoot. It was also very easy to handle, even after a long day of hunting, thanks to its lightweight design. However, there were instances where the cocking rod did feel a bit rough on my hand, which caused some discomfort after several shots.
One of the features that I appreciated the most about the Invader 400 was the quiet operation. In the forest, sound can be more important than you may think. Not having my target spooked away is crucial, and this crossbow performed exceptionally well in that regard. That said, the quiet operation did come at the cost of a slight reduction in power compared to some other models on the market.
A few downsides that I encountered during my time with the Invader 400 were the lack of a built-in string stopper and the absence of any kind of noise-reducing mechanisms in the crossbow itself. The lack of a string stopper made for a more dangerous experience, especially when loading and unloading arrows. And while I appreciated the quiet operation, it would have been great if the designers could have found a way to maintain that while still providing a little more power.
Overall, my experience with the Wicked Ridge Invader 400 was mostly positive. It was an excellent crossbow for a beginner like myself, and its accuracy and powerful shots made my hunting trips more successful. There are some features I wish it had, such as built-in noise reduction and a fully adjustable sight, but it certainly gets the job done well for the price point.

🔗Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Lightweight Crossbow - Multi-Line Scope and 3 Arrow Quiver

https://preview.redd.it/jp6cs96nt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=731873d6e5d3e922a7fa1612c92b306f5bc0661c
As an avid hunter, I was intrigued by the Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Crossbow. Its lightweight build and sleek design caught my eye from the start. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed a couple of hiccups with the product.
Firstly, the AcuDraw cocking device was quite tricky to use, requiring some extra effort and attention to avoid making mistakes. While I eventually got the hang of it, I couldn't help feeling a bit frustrated with the initial learning curve.
On the bright side, the crossbow itself was impressive in terms of accuracy and power, with the built-in scope providing a clear and precise view of the target. The lightweight nature made it an easy carry in the field, and the foot stirrup, while small, did the job when needed.
However, there were a couple of downsides I encountered. The scope, while functional, felt a tad flimsy and its dial-in system was somewhat unreliable. Additionally, the foot stirrup, while compact, wasn't the easiest to use, especially for those with larger shoes.
Overall, the Wicked Ridge M-370 ACUdraw Crossbow seems like a promising option for hunters in search of a lightweight, powerful weapon. With a few tweaks to address the minor issues, this crossbow could be a great addition to any gear arsenal.

Buyer's Guide

Welcome to the Acudraw Crossbow Buyer's Guide. In this section, we will discuss important features, considerations, and general advice that can help you make an informed decision when purchasing an Acudraw crossbow. With a wide variety of options available on the market, understanding the specific requirements and features of an Acudraw crossbow can help you find the perfect one for your needs.

Power Stroke Distance

https://preview.redd.it/kr1j5ayqt34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=018cf3cfb6308ffc7f87d884d1bf796a0a1b7b6f
The power stroke distance is one of the primary factors that determine the performance of an Acudraw crossbow. It is the distance the bow limb moves during the draw cycle. Generally, a longer power stroke distance leads to higher speed and kinetic energy, which results in better accuracy and penetration. Look for a crossbow with a power stroke distance of at least 10 inches for optimal performance.

Draw Weight

Draw weight is the force required to pull the crossbow back to its full draw. Higher draw weight means a stronger and more powerful crossbow. However, it may also require more effort to cock the crossbow. Consider your physical strength and hunting requirements when selecting a draw weight. A good starting point for most hunters is between 150-200 pounds. If you are considering a youth model, look for a lower draw weight, typically around 100-125 pounds.

Speed

The speed of an Acudraw crossbow is measured in feet per second (fps) and affects its shooting range and accuracy. A higher speed crossbow will generally have a greater range and better accuracy. Aim for a minimum speed of 250 fps, as it can provide an ideal balance between power and speed. For a more advanced crossbow, look for models with a speed exceeding 300 fps.

Noise and Vibration

Crossbows can be noisy and produce vibrations that can affect the shooter's aim and accuracy. To minimize noise and vibration, look for crossbows with built-in noise dampening and vibration reduction features, such as rubber dampeners or recoil dampening systems. These features will help improve your shooting experience and reduce fatigue.

Practical Considerations

  • Length: Opt for a crossbow with a comfortable length that suits your height and reach. Ideally, the butt plate should rest comfortably against your shoulder when drawing the bow.
  • Weight: Consider the weight of the crossbow, especially for hunting. A lightweight crossbow is easier to carry during extended hunts, but it may also be less stable and require more control.
  • Safety: Look for features such as a manual safety, an automatic safety that engages when the bow is cocked, and string dampers to help prevent accidental discharges.
  • Scope: Choose a crossbow with a quality scope that offers a clear sight picture and adequate magnification for the desired shooting range.

Maintenance and Care

https://preview.redd.it/ltbwjk3st34d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=258398eec1105cc2a0f4ffa51b33decdcac34580
Caring for your Acudraw crossbow is essential to ensure its longevity and optimal performance. Regular maintenance includes cleaning and lubricating the crossbow after each use, inspecting the strings and cables for wear, and maintaining the scope properly. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's maintenance guidelines to keep your crossbow in top condition.
Selecting the perfect Acudraw crossbow requires considering several factors, such as power stroke distance, draw weight, speed, noise and vibration reduction, and practical considerations like length, weight, safety, and maintenance. By taking these elements into account, you can find an Acudraw crossbow that meets your specific needs and provides an enjoyable and successful hunting experience.

Submitted my application to GS 5/15 and recently received this email about FinAid
I’m a non-traditional older student (age>26). I haven’t filled out FAFSA yet. (It’s illegal if you have a prior student loan in default.) I can take care of the outstanding debt and fill out FAFSA soon.
My questions are:
Is this email a good sign?
Will the amount of financial aid I qualify for affect my admissions chances? I.e., if I’m too “needy” will I face a higher chance of rejection?
Also, since I’m older, do I need to list my parent’s financials?

I recently purchased these 600-piece clear toe nail tips by Rosy Finch, and I'm absolutely thrilled with my decision. As a frequent traveler, I'm always on the lookout for accessories that give me that perfect, polished look without taking up too much space in my bag. These nail tips have exceeded my expectations in nearly every respect.
The high-quality ABS material used in these nail tips is truly a game-changer. They're thick, sturdy, and flexible enough to last about 2-3 weeks with proper nail glue. I also appreciate that they're made without any harmful chemicals, so I can feel confident that they won't harm my natural nails.
One feature I can't get enough of is the variety of sizes offered. With twelve distinct sizes, it's incredibly easy to find the perfect fit for each of my toes. And if I ever misplace one, the individually numbered nail tips make reordering a breeze.
Another huge perk of these nail tips is their versatility. Whether I'm applying nail polish, gel polish, acrylic nails, or creating a pedicure design with polygel, these nail tips give me the perfect canvas for any nail art project. Plus, they provide full coverage, so I can finally confidently strut my stuff in open-toe shoes and sandals without embarrassment.
I can't recommend Rosy Finch's clear toe nail tips enough. Not only are they a worthwhile investment for summer, but they're also incredibly easy to use, making them a must-have for both professionals and DIY nail enthusiasts alike.

Once I stepped out of the pool with sandals on, I felt a little embarrassed showing off my bare, unpolished toenails. But thanks to these Clear Toe Nail Tips by BORNBYME, I can confidently strut my stuff around the beach without any fear of judgment. These 12 sizes of full-cover nail tips are made with thick, sturdy ABS material that lasts up to 2-3 weeks. Plus, they're super easy to paint, even for beginners, which means I can spend less time perfecting my designs and more time enjoying my vacation.
One of the best things about these nail tips is their high toughness. They won't crack, making them more flexible and long-lasting. And when it's time for a change, they're easy to remove as well. As someone who loves trying out different nail designs, I appreciate how versatile these Clear Toe Nail Tips are. They work well with nail polish, gel polish, acrylic nails, and poly-gel nail designs, allowing me to create unique looks that perfectly match my outfit.
However, one minor issue I faced was that the nail tips weren't organized by size inside the bag. While it wasn't too difficult to find the right size for each of my toes, it would have been nice if they came pre-organized for convenience.
Overall, if you're looking for an affordable way to enhance your pedicure game or just want to show off your feet confidently at the beach, I highly recommend giving these Clear Toe Nail Tips a shot. With their variety of sizes, long-lasting material, and easy customization options, they're definitely worth the investment.

Plus, as a clear gel, they provide a subtle yet elegant touch to any outfit. I've been experimenting with different nail art styles, and they've been amazing to work with.
I'd recommend these nail tips for anyone looking to elevate their manicure skills with minimal hassle. They're perfect for those who want to dabble in nail art without investing in expensive salon visits!

I recently embarked on an adventure in nail art and came across Melous's Clear Soft Gel Toenail Tips. With 600 pieces in twelve sizes, I was thrilled by the variety and excited to give these nail tips a try.
Melous's Clear Toe Nail Tips are made from a new, soak-off soft gel material. This new material is thinner, more malleable, and considerably more natural-looking than traditional nail tips. I also appreciated the fact that they are non-toxic, non-tasting, and aren't harmful to my real nails.
One of the standout features of this product is its quick application. In just 20 minutes or less, I was able to give myself a comfortable, flexible, and easy-to-apply nail enhancement. The full cover soft jelly tips kit contours perfectly to my nails from cuticle to free edge, and lasts for about four weeks when applied properly.
Melous's square gel nail tips work perfectly from cuticle to free edge, and are a perfect choice for both nail technicians in salons and DIY nail art enthusiasts at home. These nail tips are easy to apply with the accompanying gel nail glue and can be cured under LED or UV light. The thinner tail design makes it even easier to fit these nail tips onto my nails, while the frosted surface helps the glue stick better without falling off.
The only downside to the Melous Clear Soft Gel Toenail Tips is that the sizes can be a bit tricky to figure out at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing. Overall, I'm very impressed with the quality and ease of use of these nail tips, and they have quickly become a staple in my nail art toolbox.

I recently tried out these AIEX 100 Pcs Toe Nail Tips Transparent Full Cover French False Toenail Tips for Women Girls Nail Decorations Nail Salons Home. The first thing that struck me about these artificial nails was their sheer variety in sizes - 100 pieces to be precise, which means there's always a spare one when you need it most!
The material used, acrylic acid, is eco-friendly and odorless. It doesn't hurt your natural nails nor the skin around it. Plus, it's good for long-term use. These nail tips come in a reusable plastic box with 11 compartments making them easy to use and store.
Another highlight is the perfect design. Their transparent nature allows me to paint my favorite patterns or colors on them as per my preference. The acrylic material is soft and easy to cut too. Using them is straightforward: clean your nails, choose a similar-sized nail, apply glue, stick it, and shape it according to your liking.
These nail tips are versatile too. They make excellent gifts for friends at casual and formal occasions. I even used them for DIY nail art at home with my friends. Overall, I found these AIEX Toe Nail Tips very user-friendly and stylish. However, because of manual measurements, there may be minor variations in size and weight.
My only gripe is that due to differences in monitors, there might be some slight color discrepancies. Despite this, I would definitely recommend these Toe Nail Tips to anyone looking to embellish their nails easily and beautifully.

Buyer's Guide

To keep your acrylics looking their best, follow suitable care routines. Use a nail file to smooth any rough edges and a buffer to maintain a smooth surface. Avoid using harsh nail products and stick to gentle cleaners. Regularly apply nail strengtheners to help prevent cracking and chipping.

Potential Safety Concerns

While acrylics can be a fun and stylish way to enhance your appearance, they do come with some potential risks. Poorly applied acrylics can lead to nail damage, infections, and allergic reactions. Always ensure you're following proper nail care practices and consulting with a professional if you experience any discomfort or unusual symptoms.

2024.06.02 08:26 moukiez WiFi and Bluetooth keep disabling themselves, shows no networks, and laptop freezes and has trouble turning on/restarting properly, all since yesterday.

I'm at my wit's end, hopefully someone can help me resolve this issue. I apologize for the deluge of text you're about to read.
My laptop is an Acer ConceptD 7 Ezel CC715-71, running Windows 11 Pro. I got it late 2020 I believe, and aside from the sound no longer working a few months in and the finger print sensor saying it can't recognize my fingerprint after like a handful of uses until I reset/re-register the fingerprints and anew, only for the process to repeat yet again, it's been perfect.
(I was living in Canada at the time and imported it from the States, so after all the hassle with customs, it wasn't worth jumping through all those hoops to send it back again, even if it was ridiculous that the sound and fingerprint sensor stopped working just a few months in for such an expensive device.)
Fast forward four years to yesterday, and it was working fine, but I went to the bathroom and came back, and suddenly the WiFi wasn't working. It was fine on every other device/phone/laptop/Steam Deck, but no matter what I did, the WiFi refused to connect.
In the past, I've had issues with this laptop being the only device to not connect to the WiFi network in this building, but now it's not detecting any networks. It claims the WiFi is on, but checking in the settings show it isn't. Clicking it on refuses to engage, either failing to do so, or looking like it complies before immediately turning itself off.
Then the WiFi icon/option would disappear entirely, and the Bluetooth did the same. I would find the Bluetooth setting in the Device Manager window when I enable "Show Hidden Devices", but I don't know how or why it was hidden.
My Network Adapter (Intel (R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201160MHz, I believe) would be disabled, and checking the Event tab in the Properties would say things like "Device not started (Netwtw10)" and "Device configured (oem91.inf)" and things like that.
I would try updating, downloading the latest drivers from Acer for my laptop using my phone and transfer it to my phone and try to install them, and sometimes it would say it installed and works, but other times it would say it detected the drivers I wanted to install but failed to install them.
I've tried disabling and enabling the driver, uninstalling and reinstalling it, deleting it and restarting the laptop to automatically get it again (not sure how it did so without the internet, but it would be there, every time), and doing the same for the Bluetooth driver.
Sometimes the WiFi would work for like all of a minute or two, before it would become disabled and find no networks and there would be an error with the driver and the event log saying things like the Device didn't start, and once or twice I think I saw it say "WiFi Device Cannot Start (code 10)".
At this point I was ready to give up and just use my phone as a hotspot for my laptop to connect to and call it a day until I could care enough again, but even that wasn't applicable, because that option for Mobile Hotspot was grayed out and said something about how I couldn't connect it no Ethernet or Wifi device connected. (Specifically, it says "We can't set up mobile hotspot because your PC doesn't have an Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular data connection.)
All through this, my laptop started being fucking weird in that if I clicked "restart", it wouldn't turn itself back on. I'd have to press the power button to do so, and even then, it often wouldn't. I've tried power cycling like three fucking trillion times, and it would never work consistently or turn on after I've let the lights blink several times or waited 30 seconds or 60 seconds or longer.
(Aaaaaaaand I suspected my WiFi would be a bitch again and so I tried to send what I've typed out on the laptop to my phone via Telegram (because typing all this on my phone was getting tedious), but of course, the WiFi went out the SECOND I tried. I was using the Mobile Hotspot option immediately just in case my normal WiFi network went out, but it still disabled itself and wouldn't stay online via Mobile HotSpot when the option was available/not grayed out like it is now.
So I'm going to have to save this wall of text as a text document or something and manually transfer it to my phone.)
I finally decided to do a system restore, selecting one from May 26th, and it took like 30 - 45+ minutes, and of course it didn't restart itself, but when I finally managed to find the right power cycle attempt to get it to turn on, my laptop said the system restore was a success.
Huzzah! It was working. For 30 minutes.
😐
So I tried to download MalwareBytes on my phone, and it downloaded then I transferred it to my laptop, and of course it needed to connect to the internet to download the rest of itself, so it wasn't conducive to anything in this situation.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver and I (foolishly) thought I had solved my WiFi/Bluetooth issues last night and was even feeling galvanized to try and open up the bottom of my laptop and see if the sound issue I've been avoiding dealing with/coping by using Bluetooth earbuds/headphones for the past four years was as simple as something being unplugged, so I went to get my strebito kit, which I see everywhere around me and in my vicinity, except of course (you guessed it) the one time in four years that I actually genuinely needed it :))))))))))))))))
I also got a BSOD today, and I think I glimpsed it saying something like "ACPI block management", but it was very quick so I can't be sure. I tried to google that, but the only ACPI answers I could see in relation to googling it for reddit solutions (lol I love that everyone has had a problem before and that there is invariably a reddit thread with that exact problem, situation, and solution) were in relation to ACPI BIOS errors, so it may have been that.
I tried accessing the BIOS (which took a lot and trial of error in power cycling because of how inconsistent it is that my laptop has been with turning on since yesterday). Of course, I had apparently previously set a BIOS password when trying to allow my laptop to boot into Batocera like a year or so ago, and I apparently am not intelligent enough to have had the foresight to write it down in a note or document on my phone, despite me knowing my ADHD/memory is garbagio, so I always make it a POINT to do so, because I don't trust my powers of recollection (and apparently, as evidenced by this instance, with good fucking reason!).
Of course, I forgot to mention that now my laptop freezes, including when I was writing up a majority of this thread in the aforementioned notepad, so now I can't even transfer it and have to re-type what few paragraphs I see (I had JUST scrolled down to make more distance between the bottom of the text and the document because I hate not having that visual buffer between the text and the bottom of the window, it makes me feel like the text is running out or more difficult to see/continue) on my phone anyways, so that was yet another obstacle. 🙃
So, to summarize:
  1. Laptop's WiFi/Bluetooth keep disabling themselves and the Bluetooth keeps hiding itself, so not even the icon is visible. The WiFi can't find any networks, and refuses to turn on (even though it says it does when I toggle it), and when it's like this, I cannot connect via Mobile Hotspot either.
  2. The laptop is being very peculiar about it restarting, only does so if I press the power again after it shuts down (despite me selecting restart), and even then, only sometimes. I keep having to power cycle it to try and find the perfect sweet spot to let go and have it actually turn on.
  3. The laptop now freezes within 20 or so minutes, and stays that way until I restart the laptop.
  4. Sometimes it tells me that a driver reinstall works, other times it says it doesn't.
  5. The driver events say that the device did not start, and error 10.
  6. The laptop showed a Blue Screen of Death today, and the error said "ACPI" followed by (what I think it was) "block management" or (what it probably was) "BIOS error".
  7. I set a BIOS password that I do not remember.
  8. I do not have access to my Strebito toolkit to open up the laptop, nor do I have money to take it to BestBuy Geek Squad or wherever does laptop repair.
  9. My laptop speakers do not work, despite sound apparently playing based on the animation/sound waves playing in the sound settings when media is active, and stops when nothing is playing, leading me to believe maybe something has been unplugged for like 4 years internally.
  10. (I have many a time tried to uninstall, reinstall, download, and update Realtek drivers, but no sound comes from my speakers.)
  11. I managed to run MalwareBytes, and it said it found a Neshta virus in a CEMU/WiiU emulator I downloaded literally years ago in the CEMUHOOK.DLL file), which I assume was present even in the system restore done yesterday backed up from 6 days ago. Apparently there was also Yontoo adware. I have since quarantined them.
  12. (I should perhaps also note I rarely if ever use CEMU, and certainly haven't within the past two years, if not longer. I just like having access should I do desire on a whim to play.)
  13. The problems (aside from the missing sound) started just yesterday, when I was away from the computer briefly, so it's even more vexing because I wasn't there at the onset of the issue or saw what caused it.
  14. I'm incredibly reticent to do a clean install/start from scratch because I have so much stuff I'd have to reconfigure and download and reinstall because I'm a very particular person, and that would be so insanely time-consuming, you don't even know. If there's anything short of nuking this laptop that can help resolve these issues, that's what I would like to find out. I'm aware this is not the optimal/best idea, but I'm willing to deal with that in the future.
  15. I do not have access to the router, as this is a building and they handle the Wi-Fi.
Either the universe or my own hubris and ineptitude keep trying to humble me, so I require patience and assistance. Please. And thank you. 😭 Whatever steps, whatever instructions, as long as they're clear and step by step, I can provide whatever you might need to deduce what the issue is and what a solution might be.
Edit: Of course, as soon as I do everything in my power to try and get it done and finally admit defeat and resort to outside help from the community, the internet seems to be stable for the moment. I'm hesitant to turn off my laptop and restart again to see if that's still an issue.

2024.06.02 08:24 unicorn_lady_420 Fired for asking not to do four jobs at once for $12/hr, artwork stolen and sold on merch by same employer, need advice.

In early 2021, I started working for a teeny gas station in the middle-of-nowhere, Nevada, under the table. Manager said they were too new and small to be able to hire me on the up and up and could only pay me $12.50/hr, but it came with a place to live. The house is actually condemnable, but because she kept promising they’d fix things, I agreed. I am also a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. Every once in awhile, manager would show me a graphic and ask if I could do something along those lines but personalized to the store or (the town). It started slowly, but she kept giving me little tasks that she claimed she didn’t know how to do, like make barcodes and print labels. Then cutting out vinyl graphics (that I made) on a Cricut for production. Sometimes I’d do 25 a day, and these are time consuming, all while running a store six days a week. Then, before I knew it, I had designed most of the merchandise in the store, and was responsible for producing nearly everything, for no pay raise. The crescendo happened on Memorial Day. Her husband, who was hired for maintenance by the owner, began screaming at me that I had not finished stocking the cooler that evening (even though I do it in the morning). It had been a very busy day. I tried to explain to him that it is hard to complete the designs I had been asked to make that day, print out the sublimation designs I’d been asked to get ready for production, press the remaining magnets I wasn’t able to finish the day before, cut the vinyl lettering for the school bus I’m supposed to have finished already, print out the t-shirt and mug labels, take care of the customers that had been walking in every ten minutes for eight hours straight, clean the bathrooms, wipe down the glass, and mop the floors, and finally; stock the fridges.
I’m still not sure why he took it upon himself to be so angry about something he isn’t actually supposed to be involved with to begin with.
I decided to tell (manager) that it seemed my design and production work was taking up enough time during work hours that I was unable to complete the basic cashiering tasks. I suggested we halt production temporarily as I was struggling to keep up with it all.
I was promptly fired.
The employee housing is deplorable and includes the following issues; no heat, inadequate air conditioning, no washing machine, no dryer, no dishwasher, no microwave, a semi-working oven, one toilet that doesn’t flush, the remaining working toilet has two big cracks up the front of it, a severe water leak in the master bathroom (possibly due to a cracked toilet), a termite infestation, outer panels that are literally falling off, every single faucet leaks, and two corners of the living room have caved in due to water damage.
They have since cut off my internet connection (I paid for it but it was in their name) changed the locks on my mailbox, and returned all my mail to sender.
The actual owner likely knows nothing about this because they refused to give me his contact information. I found his home address on his aviation license records.
They have stolen all of my designs that I’ve worked on over the last two years, never paid licensing or royalties, and now want me out of the house, although I have signed permission from the owner to be here. I have a copy of a Property Owner Residency Affidavit that the owner signed last year so I was able to get my license. It says nothing specifically about employment. I don’t want to stay here, but I have nowhere else to go yet because it happened so fast.
What rights, if any, do I have here?
I don’t want to let them get away with bullying me because I put down a reasonable boundary and stealing my artwork.

2024.06.02 08:18 didsome1saybacon Quote for app design

Hello - I'm not sure if I should build this app or hire a dev to delegate this task to. To help me figure this out I am looking to get a quote for developing and launching a very simple app. I'm also looking to get an idea of what maintenance looks like for this app.
I have created high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes in Figma, and I have clear experience requirements defined in the Figma file. I have a defined scope of the app's capabilities and a roadmap for future updates and features. I'm a UX designer who is very comfortable collaborating with devs and adjusting my designs to accommodate the dev process. I get consistent feedback from devs and researchers that I'm very easy and fun to work with.
About the app:
It's essentially a very, very simple website that mostly has documentation/written information and photos. I could just make a responsive version of a website but I want my users to have it as a downloaded app on their phone or tablet. Would it make sense to have an app that just launches a mobile version of the website?
I've built multiple websites using WordPress and have entry-level coding skills (but it has been a HOT minute since I've written a line of javascript, HTML, or CSS). I've never launched an app working independently without a developer. I'm sure I could struggle through it. (I've downloaded some great resources on this subreddit to review tomorrow). I would like to see what a realistic quote would look like before I decide on my next steps forward.
Please let me know what you guys think!
