When I look into working as a GP in any country, whether it be NZ, Canada, Ireland, the USA, or Australia, the GPs there describe the situation as not as good as we expect. Of course, moving from the UK might offer certain benefits, but what is the reality like?
For reference, I saw posts about NZ GPs working a lot of unpaid hours to manage admin and results (essentially working a day for free), Ireland GPs facing the same issues as UK GPs, Australian GPs complaining about Medicare rebates, and Canadian GPs describing high patient loads and huge amounts of paperwork. It was really a shock to me. So, why complete CCT and then leave?
I don't care how brutal the truth is. I really want to know. Please share your experiences.

Hace un año me compré (de caliente) un macbook para mis estudios, un MacBook Air M1 8GB RAM 256GB SSD 13.3" Space Grey, a $950.000 en Paris.
Si bien el uso es 95% para suite office, adobe, y cosas sencillas, estoy pensando en venderlo porque me ha desilusionado un poco su rendimiento, en cuanto a que a veces se me ralentiza cuando estoy con varias pestañas a la vez, varios programas (word/adobe/ppt/wsp/spotify,etc).
Lo que me gusta es que como es mac, al tener un iphone y un ipad, está todo sincronizado, pero estimo que podria lograr lo mismo con otro laptop cualquiera (?).
Dicho eso, les agradecería si me pueden comentar si vale la pena venderlo para comprar otro notebook (dell, lenovo, hp?) que tenga mejor performance para uso de escritorio. De ser así, en cuánto sería un precio justo venderlo teniendo un poco más de 1 año de uso? y si me pueden recomendar otro laptop que podria comprar con lo recaudado?

A long time ago, I came across a beautiful build. Bodyswap when linked with summon phantasm on kill gained the minion tag and could then be used with Null's Inclination, and for a brief, glorious window there was a flicker-esque build. I cannot for the life of me find any footage of this build or even evidence the build existed and I didn't simply dream it, but I distinctly remember seeing a ranger blast through Underground Sea with a dozen bodyswaps every second. And then another Null's Inclination build appeared: Wormblaster. Null's was hit with a hefty nerf, gaining a significant trigger cooldown. Flicker Bodyswap was killed before I ever had a chance to try it.
When the new Bodyswap of Sacrifice gem was revealed, I saw the 'minion' tag on the gem and immediately tried to recreate the build. The numbers, sadly, weren't there. Without targeting a minion, it just didn't do any damage, and I eventually gave up on using Null's altogether. The idea went on the backburner for a while, but it was still there, itching at the back of my mind. This league I resolved to make it work, and eventually struck upon the idea of Cast on Critical Strike to replace clunky on-kill triggers.
After many, many failed PoB's, I came up with something that looked viable, and a week later, I had this.

Build breakdown:
This is a cast on crit Bodyswap of Sacrifice elementalist built costing approximately 120 divines, including the Mageblood. I did, however, craft many of the pieces of gear myself - in fact, the only gear piece I didn't craft is the helmet. As a result, some of the gear is a bit wonky, but this is probably my last build of the league and I'm getting the itch to play other games.
Pros:

• Good damage. PoB doesn't calculate the damage very well, because it doesn't support triggered attacks/spells triggering other attacks/spells, but with 11.5m average damage per explosion at the maximum trigger rate of 6.06 per second I believe this build has 70m pinnacle DPS, and from experience with other builds with that much damage that feels about right.
• Decently fast and low-effort one-button mapper.
• Lots of pretty explosions.
• Flicker.

Cons:

• Mediocre defenses. Not a glass cannon, but it just doesn't have the lifepool to be properly tanky.
• Quite clunky mechanically. You can see in the example video that I have almost no control over when I stop bodyswapping, and sometimes I will frostblink out of a dangerous situation only to be bodyswapped straight back in.
• Bad at some mechanics. You would think it would be good at strongboxes, but aukuna's will makes zombies count as corpses and detonate dead exists. Divine Shrines are... problematic to say the least. And good luck ever standing in Ultimatum stone circles. It is, however, superb at essences and rituals.
• Not beginner or budget friendly to gear. I've had to jump through quite a few hoops to make this work.
• Flicker.

Skills:

• The build uses two separate CoC setups, one Rain of Arrows of Saturation for Raise Zombie, the other another RoAoS triggered by Manaforged Arrows for Bodyswap of Sacrifice.
• Mark on Hit Assassin's Mark gives a bit of (unreliable) power charge generation and more consistency, and self-cast Flammability gives a nice chunk of extra damage.
• Precision is mandatory as I am already pushing the limit of how little accuracy I can get away with.
• I run Determination, Purity of Elements and Purity of Fire with Enlighten in gloves with a +1 level, +2 auras double corrupt, which gives just enough mana to run Herald of Ash for mapping and War Banner for bossing.
• CWDT Molten Shell smooths out the defences a little bit.
• I wouldn't play this build without Frostblink. Being able to instantly blink out of an awkward spot is almost mandatory.

Uniques:

• Aukuna's Will is necessary to raise zombies without a corpse.
• Dialla's Malefaction and Ashes of the Stars aren't strictly necessary, but the extra gem levels and quality in the right places give a lot of extra damage.
• I wouldn't try and build this without Mageblood as resistances and crit chance are very tight as is.
• Polaric Devastation gives a bit of extra crit and the very powerful Covered in Ash debuff.
• Melding of the Flesh, with a Ruby Flask in the Mageblood and Purity of Fire, gives - in my case - 87% max resistances. This should really be 88% but I've been too lazy to get a properly rolled one.
• I run a very specialised Elegant Hubris that cost me a bank-breaking 50 chaos. Impossible Escape is doing a lot of work here.
• Lastly, a Mindless Aggression Forbidden Flesh and Flame duo for 20% more minion life.

Passive Tree/Ascendancy:
As I cannot run golems, there's pretty much only one way to build elementalist. Mastermind of Discord/Heart of Destruction/Shaper of Storms for lots of damage, Bastion of Elements for some much-needed EHP and reflect immunity.
The passive tree is pretty basic, with one very important exception. See the note at the end.
The cluster jewels are pretty important here, there's no easy way to get enough global critical strike chance. Make sure one of the elemental damage large cluster jewels has Doryani's Lesson, and Corrosive Elements if (like me) you don't have a level 5 Awakened Fire Penetration. A 3-passive reservation cluster with Uncompromising gives just enough reservation to run everything. Clusters are a good place to pick up enough dexterity to run everything, as I take hardly any on the rest of the tree.
A note on mana:
Raise Zombie costs a lot of mana. Getting it to a reasonable mana cost to trigger repeatedly without turning off manaforged arrows was a puzzle that took a while to solve. I take a total of 56% reduced mana cost of skills on the tree, another 6% on my gear, and a level 16 (I think this could be 20, but it doesn't make any difference, really) 0 quality inspiration giving another 32% supporting RoAoS+Raise Zombie for a total of 94% reduced mana cost. The Bodyswap setup, however, runs a 20/20 inspiration which gives 39% reduced mana cost for a total of 101% reduced. This is the only way I could find to sustain mana while still have Rain of Arrows cost any amount of mana, and importantly have the bodyswap rain of arrows cost so little that it triggers with every single attack.
Conclusion:
On the whole, I built this because I could, not because I should. There's much better ways to spend 150 divines. It is, however, fun and unique. I haven't - yet - tried in in T17s or against ubers, and I don't expect it will fair well, but neither did I build it with aspirational content in mind. If anyone does choose to build this, please temper your expectations.

After the first one (it was a disaster), i've done my homework and hopefully it has paid off. Please tell me if there are mistakes or anithing is incompatible:

Hola estoy tratando de superar una pequeña adicción a alcohol y las drogas y aunque he reducido mucho el consumo me siento muy deprimida, sola y asustada. No sé si existe algún tipo de grupo de ayuda que sea online o algo presencial en Madrid para gente como yo con una adicción leve. Gracias de antemano. No soy menor, tengo 25. Probé las drogas por primera vez y a los 18 y después de pandemia es cuando se ha ido convirtiendo en un problema. Llevo dos años consumiendo demasiado y llevo "limpia" 3 meses. Osea llevo intentando dejarlo 3 meses pero he tenido algún desliz.
Mi familia no lo sabe, esto les destruiría. Yo no debería estar teniendo este problema. Sabía perfectamente que estaba jugando con fuego cuando lo hice pero lo hice igualmente y me siento estúpida. En su momento me sentía muy mal por ciertos problemas y busqué un escape tonto. Sabía que era arriesgado pero en su momento me compensó. Llevo tanto tiempo evitando los sentimientos negativos que ahora no sé cómo enfrentarlos. Siento como que los últimos años han pasado muy rápido y estoy en esta situación casi sin haberme dado cuenta. Es como si hubiese estado muerta en vida todo este tiempo y ahora despierto y ya no sé quién soy. Todo lo que valoraba de mí misma ya no está y solo pienso volver a consumir para dejar de sentirme mal pero no quiero hacerlo porque se hará mayor el problema y al final salpicará a mis seres queridos y no soportaría hacerles eso.

I have been with Equinox for 2 years now. I was thinking of leaving due to the stress of having to get there to and from work. I used to have the SoCal pass. I loved it but this year I had no time to get to various locations. I have a new position in downtown and drive a lot during the week. I have a 5 year old and have to navigate that whole ordeal. I now pay 217 for one location (Glendale) I work out at the gym minimum 3-4 times a week. I used to go almost everyday when my mom used to babysit. I feel if I leave it would be a waste. I still have my LA fitness membership (29) a month. Sigh 😔
Reasons that keep me going: Cleanliness Amenities Classes ( Strength Training) Close proximity to home
Cons: class times. I wish they had earlier classes in the afternoon and evening ( 3:30 or 4:00) I would also love 5:30am classes. I feel that the classes motivate me most to stay.
I am also really trying to cut cost monthly even though what’s 217 nowadays right? It’s like considered 20 bucks.
Any suggestions would be great. I feel so indecisive 🤷🏻‍♀️

¿Tuviste que borrar miles de palabras que no llevaban a ningún lado? ¿Tu trabajo principal no te ha dejado escribir en semanas? ¿Lograste terminar un punto en la trama que parecía insalvable?
Cuéntanos tus vivencias, pero ten en mente las siguientes reglas:

1. Lenguaje. No estamos en contra de las groserías o lenguaje florido siempre y cuando sea elegante y no dirigido a ninguna persona. Con "elegante" nos referimos a que no sea un párrafo lleno de puras groserías sin ningún objetivo claro. Hay que tener algo de clase.
2. No auto-promoción. Quizá terminaste y has publicado tu obra. ¡Genial!, sin embargo esta es una comunidad de escritura, las obras concluidas se pueden promocionar en libros siguiendo las reglas de auto-promoción de obras que encontrarás en su wiki. Puedes mencionar aquí que has terminado la obra y cómo te has sentido, pero dirige a los usuarios a tu post de libros si quieres promocionar tu obra.
3. No problemas complejos. Si deseas hablar sobre problemas técnicos en tu obra como "¿cómo puedo saber cuándo he llegado al final de mi libro?", "¿Dónde puedo conseguir información sobre el tiempo que tarda en desangrarse alguien por una herida en una arteria en la pierna?", etc., por favor crea tu propio tema con la etiqueta "duda sobre escritura", de ese modo será más visible y recibirás mejor ayuda de la comunidad.

Cualquier eventualidad no contemplada, por favor informa a los mods enviándoles un mensaje privado.

I am looking for a new monitor and I'd need something large s.a. 28'' or preferably 32'' with a good sharp display and contrast. The monitor will be used mainly for work but some hobbies like image processing or video editing are also considered. I'm also a casual gamer but it's not super important. My machine is about 4 years old with ASUS RTX 2080Ti 11GB. If you need any more info, please let me know. I know DP port is older 1.4 as well as HDMI 2.0b.
I can see Amazon advertises some cheap monitors. There are flat and curved products. For instance, a flat Samsung LU32J590UQPXXU UJ590 32" 4K UHD Monitor on Amazon costs only £224 and seems to have good specs considering the price:

• It's 4K UHD
• VA panel
• Advertised as Bilions colour shades
• Small gamut error:
  • According to comments,
  • According to tests after a proper calibration
• Labelled as F in EU Energy Label rating; other monitors have G
• Image contrast ratio: 3000:1
• Decent response time: 4 ms
• Flicker-Free
• 2 HDMI ports and 1 DP
• Good angle viewing 178 degree
• Extra features: can use either stand or VESA mount

The cons:

• LCD panel
• Luminance only 270 cd/m²
• Flat
• Refresh rate: 60 Hz
• DP 1.2 and HDMI 2.0

This monitor also has good reviews mostly 5 stars and tests on a few websites I visited reported decent colour representation. The only issue is calibration is required. Reviews report sharp and clear screen without any visible display problems. Due to a VA panel, I do expect some light bleeding at corners considering the size of 32 inch screen.
A much more expensive monitor (£229) is Samsung U32J590UQR - UJ59 Series - LED monitor. I can't spot any difference, apart from LED display panel. I have to admit I'm confused about the difference between LCD and LED in practice. I tried to read some specifications but there is little to say about which is better and why, considering different circumstances.
The other monitors I'd consider would be those with curved but they cost higher. The monitos I found, mostly Samsung, haven't implemented features s.a. FreeSync or Flicker-free; they also lack of VESA mounts, stands are not quite flexible etc.
All of the monitors so far do not have HDR implemented. IIRC the price is at least twice as much as SDR if not more. So currently, I'd have to opt for a non-HDR example.
Of course, the monitor I thought in the first section may not be even worth this price. If you have other suggestions, please do recommend something, instead. I wouldn't mind something by Dell, Philips, BenQ, LG, Acer, etc. Also, lots of monitors are old like 5 or 6 yo. My budget cannot currently exceed £400--this is the hard limit.
