long time vocaloid fans, what are some older songs that bring you immediately back to that time?
as the title says, course "back to that time" could mean anything. but i more so mean listening to that one really niche song you don't hear often, and suddenly hearing it, there's a wave of nostalgia from when you first heard it a long time ago
for me, that song is "Here and There" by DATEKEN. i remember as a kid in 4th to 5th grade getting really excited when zcatcracker used to post subtitled songs from producers that didn't have English subtitles yet. of course, they haven't post in several years, but it really made my childhood to regularly discover new songs and feeling really cool to see something not a lot of others had. i vividly remember being on a week long school field trip, and "Here and There" had just been uploaded to youtube. i played this song on loop practically the whole week back then on a cheap kindle fire, and while i don't listen to this song so much anymore, every time i here it im sent back to that fond trip 9-10 years ago :-)
basically just a discussion thread, does anyone else have songs that do this to them? of course they can be popular "classic" songs too. as iconic as rolling girl and world is mine are, those also send me back to those random XD waffle rawr times of the internet

2024.05.21 22:08 condescendingpasta Increased body hair, thinning hairline, but no PCOS

I'm not sure if I'm allowed on here but I'm a trans guy, though I've never taken testosterone. I've struggled with my body hair for a long time. Sometimes I actually liked having body hair, but it also made me self conscious because girls and women are expected to be hairless. But once I came to terms with my gender, I didn't have as much of a problem with it.
In the past 5 or so years, I've noticed quite an increase in hair, although that could just be due to puberty (I'm 22). The issue is that especially in the last couple of years my arm and leg hair has started getting much longer, coarser, more unruly, and almost frizzy? And they tend to stick up. They resemble some of the weird wiry hairs I tend to get on my head. For context, I have straight black hair, but I lots of hairs like this, which makes my hair look messy 24/7 no matter how much I brush it. I remember first getting them during a stressful time in 4th grade, then it went away, then came back around my last year of high school and it's been like that since. I always assumed it was stress but it might be hormone related. It bothers me cause they really do resemble pubes. Here's the hair on my arms. There were some hairs that were a lot coarser but I already trimmed those. Before my body hair was just straight and it laid flat so it didn't bother me as much. But now I'm seriously considering shaving my arms or getting laser.
However my main worry is that my hairline is thinning. Started around 4-5 years ago as well. The hair loss is concentrated near where my hair parts at the crown. It has very slowly gotten thinner over the years, but sped up quite a bit in the last 8 months or so. It may not look too bad at the moment if I style my hair correctly but I worry that it'll only get worse.
I don't understand why these things are happening. I've been hairy my whole life, but these changes are really odd to me. My T levels are normal, thyroid is normal, ovaries are normal. So no PCOS. I was diagnosed with Celiac about 2 years ago but I've been eating gluten free since and my blood work comes back clean.

2024.05.21 21:47 YinNeedOfYang Help on choosing a lab diamond

Hi everybody! I’m looking to buy a loose stone for an e ring (!!!) and I want to make sure I get what I’m hoping for. I’ve read about as much as I can find on choosing a stone, but am still unsure how to / what sources to use for selecting a great cut. I understand to never buy one sight unseen, but I have to pick it out online first!
I’ve found the following that seem to fit everything I’m looking for (~1.7-1.8ct, round, and as sparkly/firey as I can get it), and I’m hoping for some advice on which to pick for best bang for my buck, and for ensuring a great cut that will truly shine. Also note, the setting will be platinum.
1st choice: https://www.stonealgo.com/diamond-details/igi-number-LG623493683 (anything at all wrong with this??)
2nd https://www.stonealgo.com/diamond-details/igi-number-LG618411227
3rd https://www.stonealgo.com/diamond-details/igi-number-LG598381900 (crown angle 35.4 a bit too high?)
4th https://www.stonealgo.com/diamond-details/igi-number-LG626451515 (crown angle 35.2)
5th https://www.stonealgo.com/diamond-details/igi-number-LG623489391 (crown angle 35.2)
I know the stonealgo grade can be misleading, so I’d love some expert opinions on doing the best I can without seeing it in person. Thanks in advance!

2024.05.21 21:43 esquelleto How do people think back on childhood interactions with 'spirits'?

This might not be a common case for a lot of people, I'm a skeptic as a whole on instances where someone 'undeniably knows they had an experience' in which they interacted with a ghost, spirit, or otherwise. When I was maybe 7 or 8, I went to a church school just north of London in Hertfordshire. It was a dull place to live, ADHD and generally feeling like I didn't fit in as a whole were factors that made it worse - but one day we went to the local church where we'd normally have a weekly service and did grave rubbings. We were each given a few sheets of paper, wax crayons, and were told to go into the graveyard, press the paper to the stone, and then rub the crayon over it so we could see what was written on the headstones. Some of the oldest ones went back 3-400 years, and if you went down towards the back of the graveyard, there were a lot of smaller graves. I still remember hearing a voice confidently asking "What are you doing that for?" looking over my shoulder, and seeing a boy - maybe a little younger than me, wearing a jacket, cap, high knee socks. I told him our teacher had asked us to make a rubbing, and to bring the paper back once we'd done so. He kneeled down, took a crayon, and started copying me, rubbing the edge of the crayon against the paper as the indents started becoming visible. As I said "you're good at that" I heard a voice from behind me, a girl who was in my class asking "Who are you talking to?" I turned back to look at her, looked back to where he was, and he was nowhere to be seen. The imprint from the paper was of a child's grave, around the age of the boy who'd stood next to me. I wish I could remember the name, the details, but I can't. And the papers were either thrown away or kept by my primary school (3rd/4th grade I think it is for Americans). I've thought back on that day multiple times over the years. Was I bored, did I make something up, was it looking for a friend in a moment where I felt isolated? Did I actually experience something, but I've just gotten that much older and more jaded without experiencing anything similar that I'm trying to write it off as 'kids being kids'? If anyone else has been through something comparable, or similar, would love to hear more stories - and more about you as well.

Ken Konkin, P.Geo. President & CEO of Goldstorm Metals comments: "Field crews have been mobilized to the area in preparation for the 2024 Exploration Program. The focus will be to follow up on last year's extremely positive precious and base metal results from the reconnaissance sampling and drilling programs. Our crews will begin with the Electrum project, then move on to the larger Crown property later in the summer. The drilling plan at Electrum will attempt to expand the known gold-silver hydrothermal stockwork breccia system laterally and at depth. Reconnaissance crews will also further evaluate and trace the numerous newly discovered zones throughout both claim groups. In the southern portion of the Electrum Property, we will focus on expanding areas with high-grade gold and silver intercepts within a sheeted vein complex, peripheral to a dome-shaped hydrothermal stockwork gold and silver breccia system. From the 11 drill holes that tested Electrum targets last year, nine holes targeted the high-grade gold and silver parallel sheeted vein complex with coarse-grained native gold occurring in drill hole EL-23-08 at 146.5 m depth over 0.5 m that carried 75.30 g/t gold with 19.27 g/t silver yet a much higher grade intercept was encounter near surface in the same hole at 12.0-12.5 m depth that yielded 233.50 g/t gold with 756.0 g/t silver over 0.50 m. The goal is to continue the discovery and development of high-grade precious and base metal targets, in addition to expanding large intrusive related bulk-tonnage disseminated/veinlet and porphyry type targets, similar to nearby discoveries along trend to the north including Treaty Creek-KSM as well as the Valley of the Kings and West Zone Deposits of the Brucejack system."
Electrum 2023 Drilling Program Summary
During the 2023 exploration season, Goldstorm Metals completed an 11-hole drill program totaling 2,581 meters at Electrum. This program was successful in intercepting both high-grade vein-type and porphyry style gold-silver mineralization (see press releases dated October 4th, 2023, and November 14, 2023). Building on these results, future drilling is expected to target the expansive bulk-tonnage gold-silver hydrothermal breccia stockwork system encountered in holes EZ-23-01 and EZ-23-02, and the high-grade gold-silver intercepts observed in holes EZ-23-08 and EZ-23-11.

  • All assay values are uncut and intervals reflect drilled intercept lengths.
  • HQ diameter core samples were sawn in half and typically sampled at standard 1.5 m intervals.
  • True widths have not been determined as the mineralized body remains open in all directions. Further drilling is required to determine the mineralized body orientation and true widths.
Crown 2023 Program Summary
In 2023, field crews conducted exploration activities on the Crown Property, including an extensive reconnaissance sampling effort that led to the discovery of four new mineralized zones. These zones, located on the Orion Concession (the Copernicus Zone) and the Fairweather Concession (the Launch, Galileo, and Triton Zones), produced very positive sampling results.
The findings from these zones are as follows:
  • The Copernicus Zone: a continuous channel sample line comprised of six samples (OR-23-02), that averaged 0.14 g/t gold, 57.0 g/t silver, 1.71% copper, 0.015% cobalt, and 0.15% zinc over 5.15 meters (m), (see Company press release dated November 27, 2023);
  • The Launch Zone: representative chip sampling within this area returned 1.95 g/t gold, 15.09 g/t silver, 0.12% copper over 3.0 m and 4.6 g/t gold, 118.5 g/t silver, 0.83% copper over 2.0 m;
  • The Galileo Zone: a grab sample returned 1.18 g/t gold, 2,656 g/t silver, 0.55% copper, 7.65% lead, and 5.03% zinc;
  • The Triton Zone: a grab sample returned 8.3 g/t gold and 48.8 g/t silver, (see Company press release dated January 24, 2024).
During the upcoming 2024 field season, Goldstorm Metals will continue to focus on developing high-grade precious and base-metal targets and plan for the potential start-up of the first ever drill program on the Copernicus Zone. Details of this program will be finalized ahead of the 2024 drilling season.

2024.05.21 20:56 biscuitcutie Why am I having such a hard time...?

I keep hearing of a "teacher shortage" not only in my county, but across the country. Well, I am currently employed in my district (4th year in) and I just renewed my contract for next year. I'm trying to move to a school closer to home... and I'm not getting hired, even in grade levels I've taught in and been successful in. I've reapplied to 4 schools closer to my house. Only 1 has interviewed me and it was a no (and I was interviewed for MULTIPLE positions there). One other said the position I applied for was already filled. I'm still waiting to hear back from the others... but I don't get it. I have good references from my current school and my data my previous years speaks for itself. Is anybody else having this issue? I still have a place at my current school next year if I can't find another position, but still. I'd like to be closer to home. Is anybody else having this issue?

2024.05.21 20:14 HomegrownStatistics A Surpise from My Wife

A Surpise from My Wife
The first book I ever bought was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone back in the 4th grade at a school book fair. I had that copy for years and I read it countless times throughout my childhood. I fell in love with the series immediately and my mother would buy the books as soon as they came out. I would finish the books the night I got them, 5-8 hours straight lost in a world of magic and wonder.
My wife surprised me with this book when she came back from the store this morning and I was immediately transported back to the book fair from my school. I am unashamed to say I cried. I cried because she knows me so well. I cried because I can read this to my 3 year old son and introduce him to the wonderful world of witchcraft and wizardry.
Just another moment of magic, but this time I get to share it with my lovely wife and beautiful son.

2024.05.21 20:06 Least-Apricot8858 chance a Ukrainian who wants to apply to the us but is extremely scared😭

this might be a bit complicated because a lot of stuff is different from the system which is established in the us but i'd like to know my chances
currently in 10th grade (which is equivalent to junior year, a rising senior)
low-income, seeking full aid/scholarship
applying to film majofilm and tv production/film studies in some cases
dream/reach: nyu, lmu, bard, vassar, umiami
gpa: 11/12(i figured it would be ~3.9), in my country we don't have any APs, Honors etc.
i also study at a Canadian school online, my gpa there is ~85%, but i'm trying to make it at least 90%
i took SAT on may 4th and got 1290. i'm taking it again on june 1st and i'm planning to retake it in august or october until i get 1500+
activities:
  1. rhythmic gymnastics for 8 years, but i finished it 2 years ago. i have a second professional rank (idk how to call that), a ton of national awards
  2. competitive contemporary dance for 3 years. participant of world of dance ukraine 2023, team division (those are really prestigious dance competitions, international level), and semi finalist of world of dance ukraine 2024 team division (top 12). our team also won a $1000 scholarship for taking the 1st place on national level competition and 2 times we won the second place
  3. actor and assistant on the film set at the biggest film studio in Eastern Europe. i starred in a short film, and worked with a professional cameraman, screenwriter and director. i also visited a lot of meetings and workshops at that film studio
  4. freelancer, video editor. worked for clients from Eastern Europe and Canada for 1,5 years. edited videos in English, helped to improve their youtube channel
  5. volunteer tutor online. tutor kids from occupied territories, explain the school subjects to them, because it's really hard for kids to take school seriously because of war. i also tutor english and spanish
  6. school government, media committee. run the school's social media account, edit, film videos, etc. now something that is in progress:
  7. non-profit international organization, which runs 4 online clubs in 4 creative fields (creative writing/fashion/design and drawing/film and media).it is also a platform for international communication, creating and spreading opportunities for people interested in art. i'm a founder. however, i'm just starting it and looking for people, so it isn't really working yet
  8. international MUN enthusiast. i got a $1000 scholarship for CWMUN in emirates and going there in october. idk if it can be considered an activity, but i also participated in MUN in my city
  9. organizing film evenings and discussions in my city. that's also something i'm just starting
  10. Nobel internship. i registered for Nobel international online internship, but it's only starting at summer. i thought maybe once i finish a required course i can start my film club on that platform
11(?). i don't think it's really an activity but i've been to multiple international camps (in Ireland, Czech Republic and going to Canada this summer), which is like cultural exchange and stuff
i don't have any impressive awards though. i thought i would write about the $1000 CWMUN scholarship, maybe some dance awards. also i'm going to participate in the international online olympiad in English and Maths in August so hopefully i'll win something there. also i won a school video contest
i know that in film major portfolio is a really important part so i'll be working on that during the summer. i have a lot of short film ideas, but not a single scenario yet. i'll film one short film and try to make it as perfect as possible, because i know a short film is required to apply to most top film schools (like nyu)
additionally, i know Spanish (~B1-B2), and French (~A2)
i'm planning to write my ps essay on either rejection from FLEX exchange program and how it motivated me, or how i am a naturally extremely shy and interverted person but i had to overcome my fears to reach my goals
i know my application is kinda strange, cuz it has a lot of things mixed all together, and some things are not even started yet. i'm esp stressed about my portfolio
i would be really grateful to receive any kind of feedback or advice!

Simula nung naging kami hindi nako nakakasama sa mga friends ko since lagi nya ko binibigyan ng dahilan bakit hindi sila mabuting impluwensya sakin hanggang sa nasira na ung circle and sobrang tanga ko para mapaniwala nya dahil since highschool pala kasama ko na mga friends ko and sabay sabay kaming nagaaral we even graduated with high honors, sabay sabay nageenroll sa mga universities (sadly di pinalad na magsama sama sa college) my whole college life since 1st year college up until 4th year college wala akong college life with friends, always rekta uwi dahil di na ko marunong makipagsocialize since kami palagi magkasama.
When I was 3rd year college first sem, he is 1st year college, everything went downhill, simula nagkaron siya ng kaibigan sa college binabalewala na nya ko iniiwan ako sakanila para gumala siya with friends, he is even proud na may nagkakagusto sa kanya sa circle nila.

2024.05.21 18:36 Stonecoloured UK vs USA grit levels?

Hiya,
I'm based in the UK & there seems to be different levels/numbers for grit than in USA.
I've got a grit bundle that has 80, 200, 400 & pumice powder & whilst it rounds out the stones there's no shine at all & I've tried 3 sets of stones & many, many cycles.
From people in the USA, I see 1st stage grade 30-60, 2nd stage 150-220, 3rd stage 500 & 4th stage 1,000-1,200
Whereas in the UK the starter grit bundles seem to be 1st stage 80, 2nd stage 200-220, 3rd stage 400 & then pumice polish powder.
Things like this:
Large Silicon Carbide Grit and Polish Pack - 500g of 80, 220 & 400 grit and 200g polish powder (UK seller, Craft & Design UK) https://amzn.eu/d/5k7Cxi7:
&
https://rocktumble.com/product-category/grits-and-polish/grit-packs/
They don't seem to tally up very well. Is the pumice the 1,000-1,200 part of the cycle?
Can someone make sense of this for me?

HIII my name is Sea! (Online name) I am going to share my experience with Narcissists. Narcissism is when someone is obsessed with themself and they act like the world is ‘revolving around them.’ I once had a friend who was a narcissist without KNOWING she was one. I don’t want to shit talk, or go into detail about her.. But it all kind of started in 3rd-4th grade.
To conclude this story, for me, narcissism is the definition of “I am better than everyone else.” I never thought people were like this, but ig humans are real trash.

I am a 4th sem AKTU student, I have started to wonder, what am i doing wrong so i m getting bad grades and backs on my subjects beacuse according to my analysis my answer sheet should be sufficient for passing. And most suprisingly my class's topper who prepare all the 5 units and write extremly long long answers keeps revolving around 50-60%. Is there any previous AKTU student who knows what the f is going on here. It almost feels like a play of luck giving me a phobia of semester exams.

What presidencies did you go through as a child, and how did it affect you?
For me, it was GW Bush. I was in 4th grade when 9/11 happened. All I remember after that is that everything had a bald eagle and/or an American flag on it, and I remember having to sing patriotic Lee Greenwood songs to the parents at functions. W’s presidency had most of my childhood, and then I was in high school when Obama was elected. The Obama years were the years of me finding out who I was as a man, and his presidency actually in a way helped me navigate that. At 17 years old, I literally identified as a nationalist, god fearing, gun toting American when I graduated High School. Then, since I was not in the South Carolina education system anymore, was able to form my own opinions based on my experience, and the experiences of others. For once in my life, with politics, I listened. Came out better for it. I ended up liking Obama, and understood Democratic policies more towards the end, and then when Trump ran, I voted for Hillary in 2016, and then for Biden in 2020. Voted for Sanders in the primaries.
It’s crazy how 9/11 triggered this crazy wave of nationalism. People fondly think back on that time as a time when all Americans were unified, and that there was togetherness and true brotherhood/sisterhood. When I think back, I think about how they really tried to wire us to be the way that I was before I formed into a grown man. That’s what W’s presidency did to me and an uncountable number of kids, here in the South, and probably everywhere else too.
What’s y’all’s experience with a presidency affecting you as a kid?

2024.05.21 17:21 Sagittearyouup Career Insights?

Career Insights?
Heyyy sooo… I’ve been into astrology for a decade and I find every year I have new insights into my chart. The last year I have been very active with work, so it’s been on my mind. My Leo sixth house is ruled by my sun Sagittarius at 9 degrees… I work in the hotel business now, but like the classic sixth house, I don’t find it fulfilling. Also, I’m about to start a communications internship that I was linked to by my mom (Jupiter Gemini 4th house - ruler of my MC and sun - PLUS Jupiter return will be happening during the course of the internship.) I’ve looked at my chart many times to get career direction, but does anyone have insights that I’m missing? I study communications and have found great academic success, could I possibly make it as a journalist? College has been a really delayed in my life so, with my interest in exploring careers and Chiron almost conjunct my MC, I was thinking caree school counselor. My interests are writing, astrology, and the environment…. I have so many thoughts but I’m more interested in hearing yours!

2024.05.21 17:19 SobrietyTree Last two untested embryos

We are getting ready to have an ERA on Thursday. After that we will begin prepping to transfer our last two untested embryos. We started this process with 6 untested embryos that were retrieved when I had just turned 35. And here’s how the last year has went:
1st cycle- transferred 1, medicated, no implantation. 2nd cycle- transferred 1, medicated, blighted ovum. 3rd cycle- transferred 2, modified natural, no implantation
Like I mentioned before, we will complete a biopsy to test for receptivity and also look for inflammation/infection. Then, we will transferred the last two. In addition to being untested, the grades are BB- and B-B- (so not great).
I guess I am looking for hope. Could this 4th transfer work out for me? I am already preparing for another retrieval (I will be 36 in a month). With the next retrieval we will test the embryos. So I guess there is some hope with that- but I am convinced we won’t even create embryos and if do they won’t be normal.

2024.05.21 17:04 Impossible-Bird-3299 Deciding to apply out or to stick with my BS/MD medical school

Context: I'm a 2nd-year student at a T100 undergrad 7-year BS/MD program and I am trying to figure out whether I should apply out.
My direct med program grants me admission to a ~T50 medical school, however, the school has three different campuses. Two of them are more rural and are more catered towards FM/less competitive specialties while the third campus (the more desirable one) is in the heart of the city and is generally much better for research, networking, and specialty choice (this is likely the campus the T50 ranking is based off). Previously, students in the program were allowed to pick any campus and have it be guaranteed for them. This would be true even if we chose to apply out. Per a recent policy change, we can be guaranteed a seat at the main city campus ONLY if I choose not to apply out to any other medical school. If I do choose to apply out, I forfeit the campus guarantee but retain my medical school seat. However, since this is a new policy and the administration is not being super transparent, we are not sure what applying out will do to our chance of being placed at the city campus (it may be impossible, it may still be possible but improbable, they refuse to say).
I would be very happy with taking the city campus guarantee, however, I'm not sure if I have a chance at getting into a T20 medical school. More specifically, I'm not sure if my chance of getting into a T20 is good enough that I can confidently forgo a guaranteed seat at the city campus. That is why, after literal years of scouring reddit for answers, I've decided to turn to reddit once more. (Yes ik applications are due in ~1 week)
Application Details:
Undergrad: T100
Grade: Sophomore (graduating early and applying this cycle)
ORM
Major: Standard premed major
cGPA: 4.0 sGPA: 4.0
MCAT: 526
Gap years: -1? lol
Research exp: 1350 hours at submission, projected 2200 hours across 2 labs (one clinical one basic).
Publications: 2 accepted to medium impact journals in the field (6th author at a SJR Q1 ranking journal and 3rd author at a SJR Q2 ranking journal), 1 under review (4th author at a SJR Q1 ranking journal).
Presentations: 3 projects presented at 7 forums/symposia (5 school presentations, 1 regional, 1 national).
Clinical Experience: 150 hours working as an EMT at submission, projected ~800 hours (just started working this semester after wrapping up the MCAT). 150 hours of basic hospital volunteering. 100 hours of volunteer experience from a club that I have a leadership position in.
Physician Shadowing: ~50 hours across 4 specialties
Non-clinical volunteering: 150 hours across two clubs I have leadership positions in.
Misc. extracurriculars: Leadership roles in 4 large organizations both on and off campus. Won a few awards and research grants. Have a hobby with ~300-400 hours that I’ve pursued on my own.
LoRs: 6 letters. Ranging from what I hope are decently strong to very strong letters from my PIs, one science prof, one non-science prof, and an academic advisor. Last letter is what's probably a very mid letter from a second science prof cause I realized I needed a second science faculty letter lmao
Personal Statement: Probably the weakest part of my application considering AMCAS opens next week and I've only just drafted them. Finding the motivation to write is difficult enough, but considering this whole policy chance shit, it's becoming increasingly frustrating to put in the work when I don't even know what I should do.
Sorry for the long post and slightly vague details (trying to remain as anonymous as I can lol). So my question after all of this is: Given my application strength/details, is it worth essentially giving up a free spot in a T50 school for the low chance that I get into a better school (preferably T20 since I'd rather just stay at my home school than go to anything lower than that) or should I just shut up and take my acceptance and continue kicking ass at this school.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 21, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brixton Metals Corporation (TSX-V: BBB, OTCQB: BBBXF) (the “ Company ” or “ Brixton ”) is pleased to announce that its Thorn exploration camp is now open for the season and drilling has commenced. Brixton is fully funded for the 2024 exploration program with plans to drill test several new copper porphyry targets, including the Trifecta, Cirque, and North Copper Targets, in addition to further drilling at the Camp Creek Porphyry Target. The Thorn Project is situated within the traditional territory of the Tahltan and Taku River Tlingit First Nations.
2024 Thorn Exploration Plan Highlights:
  • The 2024 exploration plan consists of 12,000-17,000 meters of drilling across several target areas, collecting 2500 rock and soil samples, as well as a ~90 sq km ground MT Geophysics survey.
  • Drilling has begun at the Camp Creek Copper Porphyry Target to test for a high-grade copper core to the Camp Creek porphyry. This first hole THN24-286 is being drilled from the same pad as the 2023 hole, THN23-277, where copper abundance as chalcopyrite and quartz vein density are increasing downhole. The bottom 84 meters of hole 277 (957-1041m) returned 0.25% Copper, 0.09 g/t Gold, 3.78 g/t Silver and 142 g/t molybdenum, including 2m of 0.66% copper, 0.24 g/t gold, 12.0 g/t silver from 1032.88m. Hole 277 did not reach its target depth due to poor ground conditions.
  • The second Camp Creek hole is planned as a northwest step out from holes 184 and 201. Hole 184 ended at 1198m in strong copper mineralization with the bottom of the hole returning 318m of 0.42% copper, 0.17 g/t gold, 3.87 g/t silver, and 294 g/t molybdenum, and hole 201 intersected 150m of 0.60% copper, 0.19 g/t gold, 5.12 g/t silver and 391 g/t molybdenum. The objective is to test for a high-grade copper core to the Camp Creek porphyry.
  • The Trifecta Copper Target is located 1.5km southeast of Camp Creek and may be drill tested based on recent surface copper-in-rock and soil results and historical drilling, which returned encouraging copper-molybdenum results. The objective of this work is to search for a new porphyry copper center.
  • The Cirque Copper-Molybdenum Target is located 3km east of Camp Creek where drilling will test for a potential new porphyry center.
  • The North Copper Target area is located 15km northwest of Camp Creek, centered on a large surface copper anomaly. Drilling is planned upon completion of the MT survey and additional mapping and sampling with the objective of confirming a new copper porphyry center.
Watch Chairman and CEO, Gary Thompson, provide a summary of the 2024 drill program.
Chairman and CEO Gary R. Thompson stated: “ The Brixton team is excited to kick off the 2024 season. The Company has $12.5 million budgeted for the Thorn Project in exploration expenditures with the focus on new copper-gold porphyry mineralization. The scale of surface copper-gold mineralization is remarkable and Brixton is well positioned to generate new discoveries.”

About Camp Creek Porphyry Target
The original discovery of the Camp Creek Corridor was made by Cominco geologists in 1952 who identified the intense acid sulphate alteration in the area. However, it was not until 2019 when chalcopyrite-molybdenum veined clasts were observed below 400m depth within drill hole 150 on the Oban diatreme breccia which cut 554.70m of 0.57 g/t Au, 0.24% Cu, 43.18 g/t Ag, 0.55% Zn, and 0.28% Pb from 97.00m depth, providing evidence for a porphyry at depth. In addition, A-type porphyry veins were identified from relogging hole 121. Drill hole THN13-121 at the Glenfiddich Zone (located one kilometer west from hole 150) cut 2.21m of 10.62% copper, 583.05 g/t silver, and 2.55 g/t gold from a massive enargite-tetrahedrite-pyrite vein. The copper porphyry at Camp Creek was a blind discovery confirmed in 2021 when holes 183 and 184 were drilled below 1000m. The Camp Creek porphyry-style mineralization generally starts 300-400 meters below the surface level and remains open in all directions including at depth. Hole THN23-261 ended in mineralization at 1650m depth.

About the Trifecta Target
The Trifecta Target lies between the Camp Creek porphyry target, the Outlaw Sediment-hosted Gold Target, and the Chivas Porphyry Target. Surface mineralization is expressed as structurally controlled narrow quartz veining with pyrite and chalcopyrite. A massive magnetite-pyrite-chalcopyrite vein in outcrop with a sericitic halo surrounded by strong silicification was found during the 2023 field program that returned 2.46% Cu, 71.4 g/t Ag, and 0.36 g/t Au. The mineralization style at the Trifecta Target is thought to be related to a copper porphyry at depth.
About the Cirque Target
The Cirque Target area, located 3km northeast from the main Camp Creek drilling, was revisited in 2023, which identified a 1km by 2km northwest trending area of pyrite-chalcopyrite mineralization. Historic drilling in the Cirque area by Julian Mining in 1965 intercepted sporadic copper mineralization throughout thirteen holes. The best hole from the 1965 program returned 0.19% Cu and 710 ppm Mo over 10.67m. Quartz-chalcopyrite veins were sampled in the area to the northwest of this historic drilling returned 1.6% copper. Mineralization is hosted primarily in Windy-Table volcanics and associated intrusions. Silica-sericite-pyrite alteration throughout the target area and the widespread pyrite-chalcopyrite mineralization in conjunction with favorable magnetic signatures and anomalous porphyry-index indicators suggest that a potential Cu-Mo porphyry system at Cirque remains untested.
About the North Copper Target Area
In the northwest corner of the Thorn Project, the Copper Target comprises a 15km by 5km area located 15km northwest of Camp Creek. Mineralization consists of broad, pervasive zones of disseminated and vein-hosted pyrite with localized areas of chalcopyrite and molybdenite that may represent the periphery of a porphyry system, as well as higher-grade narrow polymetallic vein zones and skarn-style mineralization that are more representative of distal environments.
Widespread mineralization at the main gossan consists of a large area with abundant pyrite, locally up to 15%, and smaller areas of increased chalcopyrite, molybdenite, and magnetite coincident with a quartz-biotite-feldspar porphyry of undetermined age. Copper-molybdenite mineralization is found in quartz veins and as fracture-fill with samples in 2023 returning up to 0.7% Cu and 2,290 ppm Mo. The north gossan is comprised of extensive pyrite with lesser chalcopyrite and distal galena with up to 5% pyrite and trace molybdenite in a hornblende granodiorite directly east of the area. Mineralization at the south gossan is predominantly associated with trace pyrite, chalcopyrite, and magnetite mineralization within a potassium feldspar megacrystic porphyry.
Higher-grade polymetallic mineralization is generally concentrated along the margins of Late Cretaceous dykes with silicified vein breccias extending 5-10 meters into the surrounding Laberge Group country rocks. The breccias are composed of sandstone and conglomerate of the Jurassic Laberge Group with quartz-pyrite-galena-sphalerite and trace sulfosalt and chalcopyrite filling the matrix.
A ground magnetotelluric (MT) geophysical survey of approximately 90 square kilometer in area is planned prior to drilling the King Copper Target.
2024 Gold Targets
While the dominant focus for 2024 at the Thorn Project is to drill test copper porphyry targets for new discovery, the Company continues to review gold targets for drill testing in 2024. These may include selective drilling at the Trapper Epithermal Gold Target (best intercept to date: 64m of 5.7 g/t Au), the Outlaw Sediment-hosted Gold Target (best intercept to date: THN-14-128 returned 59.65 meters of 1.15 g/t Au and 5.64 g/t Ag from a depth of 76 meters) and/or the Metla Target where surface rock grab samples to date returned up to 62.7 g/t Au.
MDRU Collaboration
Brixton Metals is collaborating with the University of British Columbia’s Mineral Deposit Research Unit as part of the BC Porphyry Study. An M.Sc. research project has commenced on the Camp Creek Porphyry Target with the goal of establishing geochemical and alteration vectors towards blind porphyry mineralization. In addition, an alteration mapping project is underway to characterize and map the large 4.1km x 3.9km alteration footprint centered around Camp Creek. With porphyry deposits frequently found in clusters, the use of petrographic, geochemical, and mineral spectrometer analyses will aid with vectoring outside of the currently drilled areas in order to identify additional potential porphyry centers.

2024.05.21 16:43 Weak_Impress218 get into masters degree with lots of FF's in transcript

Hello, I am a 4th year student in chemical engineering. I didn't go to school for 2 years and my courses were recorded as FF on my transcript. I'm currently studying in the second grade because I couldn't tell my family that I wanted to stop studying and I tried to continue school with panic attacks. I'm currently continuing my studies and trying to fix things. The thing I'm wondering about is this: For example, for Texas A&M or any other school, will the FFs I went through during this traumatic process prevent me from getting a scholarship or entering a master's degree?
My university life is very passive, I'm in a small city. I used to invite people for projects and events, but now I have difficulty taking part in projects because I am as unenthusiastic as them and ashamed of my failure.
If you ask why, it was because I thought that everyone at school was more successful than me, and I believed that the education I received at my community college level school would not bring me to a good place, etc.

2024.05.21 16:42 Grand_View_2774 Confused about UofC gpa calculation

If I apply in the beginning of 4th year, so I have grades from years 1-3, full course load, how would they calculate my gpa? Would they only consider the grades from my second and third year and drop my lowest year (first year)? Also, is it true that they consider your As as 4.0s when calculating gpa?

2024.05.21 15:41 philoschmuck Taking an incomplete as a 4th year?

Am a 4th year. One of my professors said usually he just ignores emails to enter grades until way late and gets away with it, so was fine with us submitting our essay by the end of June. I was planning on this without really thinking because I figured, since I’m graduating I would have less time to study personal areas of interest with friends of mine (I won’t be around them anymore) and the essay for the class will be a solitary endeavor either way. So I figured I’d take an incomplete, get my diploma (class not needed for graduation) and have my grade entered by mid-late June. But I just received an email from that same professor asking what my plan is. I guess I never stopped to think if that’s possible for 4th years so he might have only been speaking to 3rd/2nd years. Is this technically possible, or will the school force a grade out of him for graduation?
