2024.05.21 19:28 rafiafoxx How am I gonna beat someone 7-1 in the 60th minute, they leave and I don't get the win???

I don't play fifa often, probably like 50 hours total in my entire life, mostly at party's, but since it was on sale, I got it, and ive been climbing through the divisons in seasons, legit my best game ever, when the opponent was real madrid, and I'm beating him 7-1, it's 60 minutes in, and he leaves, I'm kinda sad cuz I wanted to see how far it can go, but not big deal.
Then the opponent leaves, and not only do I not get a record of the game, it doesn't even count as a win???? Literally the best I've ever played and it was for nothing.
I'm actually sad now.

2024.05.21 19:08 ColdFusionWi Are we on the right track?

We currently live just outside of Boston and are considering moving back to the midwest, specifically the Green Bay, WI area. We have $100k saved for a downpayment, closing, and moving expenses along with $30k in savings. We are looking at houses in the $330k-$425k range. I've never owned a home, but my wife did and sold it 5 years ago (I wasn't on the paperwork/mortgage and she owned it prior to us getting married).
Question #1, would I/we still qualify as FTHB's?
I will be contacting two local (Green Bay) mortgage brokers, along with our CU in WI who we are still a member of, as well as 1-2 national lenders. We have zero debt, very good income, and credit scores in the 740-790 range, depending on the credit bureau, so getting pre-approval will not be an issue.
Questions #2 & #3, is this too many lenders to reach out to? Are there any national lenders who have better ratings/service?
As for realtors, I have a recommendation from a family member for a realtor who's in the next large town over (30 miles) away. My employer also has a benefit, Real Estate Advantage through Coldwell Banker, where they will match you with a local realtor, recommend lending, and offer a cash rebate or credit on closing costs at closing if we use their realtor.
Questions #4 & #5, is the family recommended realtor considered "local" enough? It would be great to have access to homes for sale that aren't necessarily on the market or listed yet, which is something that the Coldwell Banker people were touting on their webinar. Does anyone have any experience with programs like Real Estate Advantage?
Since we are 1200 miles away, we really don't have the ability to view any homes we are interested in person. Yes, some that I've looked at have virtual tours they can do, and we do have some family who would be willing to check a few places out. We'd obviously fly out to view it in person prior to closing. However, because of this, I'm thinking that we can't take the risk of waiving inspection, which may put us at a big disadvantage since the last 3 houses I've been watching went under contract in less than 3 days and I can only assume that the buyers waived everything to get the win.
Question #6, does anyone have any recommendations or things we should consider why trying to purchase a home long distance?
Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice you may have to offer!

2024.05.21 18:53 itstheonlyrealgavin Is There Ever A Way To Get The Fusion Core Charger Normally?

So I have Fallout 76 both on my Xbox and PlayStation and I bought Fo76 on my Xbox when fo76 and this DLC that had the core charger in it so I bought it at a discount and I love that core charger it was a real game changer for me on my Xbox Fallout adventures. but I am restarting on Playstation and I really want my core charger back so here's my question... IS there a way to get a plan or buy the Fusion Core charger or was the only way to get it was buying that DLC that is not even on sale no more?

2024.05.21 18:51 Random_octo_ We are getting third kits

We are getting third kits
I would wager that almost everything the devs have added to the game has been planned (or even completed) way before they actually appear. Wether you find that to be a cheap tactic to squeeze sales out of the game, it doesn’t matter.
With the new weapons for the splatana and stringer class, we can see that their kits align with the table turf deck of shiver and Frye.
I already believed the character decks to be associated with weapons represented by the character who is associated with that weapon. Marie with chargers and Callie with rollers for example.
With the kits of the wellspring and Decavitator we can see they nicely fit in with this logic. I made a crude graphic showing the weapons that align with the tableturf cards. You can see that all of the sub/specials are taken up by a specific weapon (including the new ones) EXCEPT for one on each deck.
I believe this is a hint to a third kit for a specific weapon in each of the respective classes.
I believe the torpedo to be associated with tri stringer, since it’s the flash ship weapon of s3 and shivers main weapon, and I believe the fizzy to be associated with stamper, Frye’s weapon.
I know this is just speculation and I have no real evidence but the decks are planned out carefully.
One thing of note, I’ve seen somewhere that there’s talk of two more weapons still left in the code or whatever. This could be two new splatana and stringer kits, but I doubt it since we are just about to get new ones

2024.05.21 18:30 yelpvinegar The 7 Types of Startup Founders: Why It Matters To You

What’s the #1 thing every founder needs to know?

I’ll give you a few minutes to make a list — top of mind might include sales, marketing, technology, product management (especially product-market fit), technical skills, fundraising, team building, leadership, management, finance, and planning/executing strategic growth and scaling.
Sure… but, sorry, none of that is the correct answer. Because, of course, you know that founders typically are expected to be jacks of all trades. So yes, to all of the above, but that’s not the secret sauce.
The #1 thing every founder needs to know is… themself.
Here’s the truth: founders start companies, and entrepreneurs build them. While not every entrepreneur is a founder (think franchise owners), every founder is an entrepreneur (at least initially).
If you’re like me, you are a forward-obsessed founder. That means where you are now is always building toward where you want to go. That person is always an entrepreneur. Once the company is started, you’ll do what it takes — including relinquishing control — to keep it growing.
Does that sting? We founders think of our companies as our babies, but statistics say we’re likely to be the ones kicked out of the nest. Also, research shows that in the US, only 14 out of the top selling 500 companies still have the original founder running the company. And the Harvard Business Review reports that most founders relinquish control long before their companies go public — and that four out of five are forced to step down as CEO.
It doesn’t have to be that way if you have one critical attribute: self-awareness. That way, you can decide as your company grows how you want to evolve your role in the overall day-to-day running of the company (i.e., learn, delegate, hire, move on). And ultimately, you can make better choices at critical growth junctures in your business progression.
So, to help you become more self-aware, it’s helpful to understand the different types of founders. Let’s dive in.

The Types of Founders

A couple of notes before we get into specifics:
The bottom line: knowing your strongest/weakest points is a critical piece of the self-awareness pie. That way, you can conduct your business in what I call the Green Zone — aka the Genius Zone, where you have both high passion and high competence — and make the best choices for you and your company.

1. The Solo Founder

Traits:
Benefits:
Pitfalls:
Example: Sara Blakely, Spanx Founder
Ten years ago, in 2012, when she was just 38, Sara Blakely became the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire. Her business, built on a significant industry gap (the lack of comfortable, effective shapewear) and her incredible sales hustle, also benefited greatly from Blakely’s abundant self-awareness. Here’s her advice to solo founders at a 2020 business conference:
“I tell people as soon as you can afford to hire your weaknesses, do it… As soon as I could afford to hire someone to do more of the operations side of the business, I did. As an entrepreneur, one of the biggest gifts you can give yourself is to stay in your lane.”
In other words, know what your Green Zone is and play there.
If you’re like Blakely, it’s usually big ideas and sales ability (she could easily qualify as a Visionary Founder, too) or operations and execution (what Blakely realized she needed help with).
Pro tip: If you’re a solo founder, you’ll likely want to lean into an entrepreneurial framework like the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to help you define and settle into which side you skew toward.

2. The Visionary Founder (or Co-founders)

Traits:
Benefits:
Pitfalls:
Example: Steve Jobs & Steve Wozniak
Considering that Steve Jobs’ name is pretty much synonymous with “visionary,” I don’t think I need to list more than the products and industries Jobs’ revolutionized at Apple and beyond — Apple Computers, iPod (iTunes), iPad, iPhone, Pixar, iCloud — with many products and points in between. George Lucas, from whom Jobs bought the Graphics Group at Lucasfilm and renamed it “Pixar,” perfectly summarizes his superpower:
“The magic of Steve was that while others simply accepted the status quo, he saw the true potential in everything he touched and never compromised on that vision.”
Steve Wozniak was the technological yin to Jobs’ sales and marketing yang, bringing the vision of a computer with a graphic interface to life. From the visionary files, “Woz” also invented the first programmable universal remote and was an early innovator of wireless GPS (thanks to his clever dogs who routinely evaded electronic fences).

3. The Serial Disruptor

Traits:
Benefits:
Pitfalls:
Example: Elon Musk
Like him or loathe him, Elon Musk is perhaps the most prolific (and successful) serial founder of all time with startups including Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company, and Neuralink, among others. His drive to design opportunities to evolve humanity has redefined both hustle culture and the art of serial entrepreneurship.
For serial founders, having a set of principles is key to their success. In Musk’s case, his use of “first principles” — reducing a process to its essential parts — has served him well, from helping him figure out how to make rockets cheaper and reusable (SpaceX) to shifting the narrative of electric vehicles (Tesla).

4. The Engineer

Traits:
Benefits:
Pitfalls:
Example: Mark Zuckerberg
Much like the other examples I’m sharing, Mark Zuckerberg’s story has been widely told, so you probably know about his development of Facebook. But at his core, Zuckerberg is an engineering prodigy and geek. At just 13 in 1997, he built “ZuckNet,” which enabled the family’s home computers to communicate via Ping (a precursor of AOL’s Instant Messenger) with his father’s dental office computers. He was using AI in his senior year in high school, so the roots of his Meta(verse) focus today are apparent.
A common weakness for engineers is they tend to have a lower EQ, which has been well-researched. As a former engineer, I understand how logic and technology come easier than understanding human behavior. This is why tech founders should seek out mentors early and bring in competent leaders with high EQ and leadership skills — for example, Zuckerberg credits his former COO of 14 years, Sheryl Sandberg, for turning the company into a multi-billion dollar company.

5. The Personality Founder

Traits:
Benefits:
Pitfalls:
Example: Oprah
I’m using Oprah as an example, as her products are an outgrowth of her — her eponymous talk show, which ran for 25 years, the OWN network, O Magazine, her book club, and a variety of charitable endeavors comprise her vast empire. But of course, we know plenty of other personality brands that have racked up billions in sales and even transformed, from the Kardashians/Jenners, to Bethany Frankel and Ryan Reynolds (just watch Deadpool 3 to see his brands — coming in 2023).
In today’s age of influence, we’ve seen a surge of personality brands and founders who leverage built-in audiences and communities to scale quickly. All these names are business mavericks in their own right, but many didn’t start out this way — they deftly utilize their charisma and ability to entertain to shape their brands and pave the way to success.

6. The Accidental Founder

Traits:
Benefits:
Pitfalls:
Example: Yvon Chouinard
Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard has been in the news lately for giving away his company to fight climate change. He’s an OG accidental entrepreneur whose passion for rock climbing led him to develop reusable pitons (rock climbing spikes) and, later, heavy-duty shirts. Famously Chouinard called himself a “dirtbag climber” and didn’t want to become a business mogul. Sixty-five years later, this accidental founder’s company is valued at $3 billion, and his latest innovation is a way of giving away the profits of a company to continue his contribution to society — protecting and preserving the natural world.
As I always say, there are riches in the niches, and accidental entrepreneurs are the leading type of founders to discover a marketplace with little or no competition.

7. The Intentional Founder

Traits:
Benefits:
Pitfalls:
Example: Jessica Alba
While Jessica Alba does have some touches of a Personality Founder (she is an actor) and an Accidental Founder (an allergic reaction to detergent made her worry about her new baby’s sensitive skin), she is an excellent example of an intentional founder. Back in 2008, when Alba had that allergic reaction, influencer marketing wasn’t what it is today — plus, she had some success but was by no means a household name. Ditto for eco-conscious consumer packaged goods — a plus, sure, but didn’t have the same urgency and importance it does today. Alba then spent years researching ingredients in everyday products and even went to DC to lobby for updates to the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act. Convinced that consumers need safe, affordable, environmentally friendly products for kids and home, Alba launched The Honest Company in 2011.
Now, she did have seasoned co-founders, her own wealth to use out the gates, and VC support shortly after that, but it has always been Alba’s commitment to and alignment with the brand’s core principles that have kept the brand growing and thriving — today, as a publicly traded company with a 2021 $412.8 IPO.
What type of founder are you? Definitely feel free to share in the comments.

2024.05.21 18:29 dgoodfart What petty thing can we do that is within the law?

Story time Long text ahead:
So my uncle/friend ni father since bata pa sold a 610sqm agricultural land for 720k to my father. Nag down si papa ng 220k. The remaining 500k will be given after a few months pa. Walang deed of sale or any contract since matalik na kaibigan ni father si uncle at ganito talaga sila mag transact dalawa ever since. Unfortunately nung few days before kami mag babayad na kay uncle na hospital si father because of his liver cirrhosis. So na delay yung bayad dahil na din na operahan si father. After a few days makalabas ni father sa hospital he passed away dahil nag progress na yung cirrhosis nya to liver cancer at nagka internal bleeding sya.
Di pwede/mahirap e convert to commercial. Though he said di na mag hahabol mga anak nya at wife we dont trust him na tlaga.
Yes lesson learned na din to sa amin mga anak. My brother and i decided to be as petty as possible. Aside sa kunin ang mga pwede pang magamit like glass and mga bakal na ginamit. What can we do (within the law) to be petty? We plan on putting cement sa mga drainage pipe para di magamit. Ruin the wall and tiles. Remove electrical wires. Any suggestion pa? Also thanks for reading my story.

2024.05.21 18:28 MaintenanceExpert868 Kids and internet exposure!

Hi friends! Real talk. Last night the kids went live with Matt. Unfortunately people were being jerks so I won’t be allowing them to go live anymore. Between grown adults telling them that they’re cute but Pam’s better and pretending to be their deceased sister saying disgusting things about their mom…it’s just wrong. They’re kids. It’s a line you just don’t cross. And while we teach them about bullies, I won’t be subjecting them to abusive adults. It’s sad that there are grown adults who don’t know how to control themselves and have such issues within themselves that they feel the dire need to put children down. As their mom it’s my job to protect them so that’s what I’m going to do. And while I’m at it, I’m requesting if you’re here with ill intent to please just leave our community. We have no room in this community for the kind of hate some people have in their hearts. If you don’t like me or the way I run this business no one is forcing you to be here and you are free to leave. If I feel the need to block someone and/or remove someone from our community it is my right to do so. You may not like it or agree with it, but I can and will do as I see fit. This is to protect myself, my family, my employees, my shoppers, and anyone else who is involved with JJ Rae. We appreciate everyone who has and continues to show us love and we will continue to sprinkle love and kindness into this world whenever and wherever we can ❤️
someone’s reponse.
I don’t think that horrible post came from anyone in that Read group. I finally checked it out because frankly I was sickened by that comment. That group totally was appalled that it was posted!
I think some very sick individual posted that for attention. Maybe from the JJ Rae side to bump up engagement.
I am glad you are pulling the kids from lives. I worked in law enforcement and there are many sick individuals that easily can exploit your kids, which is heartbreaking!
I wish I could shop and show support, I was banned early on because I asked about the business being for sale. I did not mean it disrespectful at all. I just worried that I would order and then JJ Rae would close.
I figured I would wait out all of the drama and then rejoin. You have enough on your plate without adding more!
Again, I am sorry that that awful comment was posted last night. It actually hurt my heart!
Look closely at those surrounding you and make sure it didn’t come from someone in your camp. Weirdo’s hide closest to those they are most comfortable with.
I pray for brighter days for all!❤️

2024.05.21 18:26 Bonsmosis How to work from home?

I've been applying to remote job listings constantly for about 2 weeks. So far the only interviews I got were for sales positions that weren't remote at all (asking to travel to other businesses to promote their services). And my husband keeps pointing out that he thinks all the jobs I've applied for are scams...
For those of you working from home: what websites did you use to find your job? How do you know if it's real vs some kind of MLM or something?
I've been unable to work at my current job more than 1 day a week lately. I've been so stressed there that I'm in the worst mental and physical health decline I've experienced in years.
I need help. Every attempt to get help has failed (disability denied me again, affordable health care isn't affordable, constant micro aggressions and harassment at work despite management promising to address the situation, $2900 bill for IV saline at the ER treating a week long migraine, etc...)

2024.05.21 18:23 ThrowRA_00187 Feeling *enamored*

Wow! Wow! Wow!
I placed a pretty large MC order for the sale and it arrived this morning 😬🙌🏻
As a polish collector (with limited to no self control) it’s a goal to try to purchase every collection Michelle and MC release.
I just now ordered the entire Seasons of Persephone set, which TBH didn’t really speak to me on the screen (which is why I’ve passed it up). Were there several stunning shades I was excited about? Absolutely. Did I NEED to have the entire collection? No 🙈
While unboxing and cataloging the collection I lined all the bottles up to see in real life and I must say- this is the first collection of any brand where I’m thinking “oh my god, this isn’t just nail polish, this is art”
This collection is seamlessly cohesive and gorgeous in its entirety. I am beyond pleased I pulled the trigger on the full set. The colors are a little wacky and totally unique/individual compared to the rest of my stash…the creativity in this collection is just… WOW!
Also a huge thank you to the MC team. I’ve made a lot of orders over the last couple years of knowing the brand, and this was another carefully packaged parcel that arrived with no issue ❤️
Dang, this brand is so cool! 🤓

2024.05.21 18:17 _SHWEPP_ [D] What's the sub's opinion on item pricing sites

I didn't want to put it in the title, but sites like https://csgoskins.gg, where they compile prices from a handful of sites and list them in order of price.
They're pretty clearly sponsored or partnered with Skinport, but otherwise it's nice that they show prices across more than just that site. Not to mention they also show the trade volume of items.
Priceempire is similar, but IMO not as 'clean' and concise as csogskins. Steamanalyst is in the same boat, it's a good site but the ads and otherwise 'sponsored content' is a bit much.
I feel like it's hard to buy a skin now without looking at one of these sites first, just to see if somewhere else has it cheaper. It also makes arbitrage a possibility across the different markets, depending on the markets fee and the buying volume.
I'm bringing this up because with the latest BUFF case change other sites are getting a higher volume of cases for sale, and at more competitive prices, again making arbitrage a real possibility.

2024.05.21 18:14 pattersaur I Still Love Sonos

I do have an Arc and a family but no real use for the headphones. That product might bomb.
I use a bluetooth speaker away from home all the time, but after the reviews I didn't have any interest in the Roam. It feels like that product kind of bombed.
I don't know the sales numbers but I can't imagine the Ray sold super well. Possibly another bomb.
And I don't use the app much, but my speakers still work so I'm not too worked up over that either. I'm sure the bugs will get fixed but it's not great to be angering the hardcore users.
With that said, I understand why so many are frustrated with Sonos right now. They seem to be in a rut.
HOWEVER... My home theater setup, my Move gen 1, my Five, my Move gen 2, and my Ones all still work flawlessly. I can airplay or use the app to play music. The TV stuff is still on point. Dune 2 is on Max today! I expect it will sound awesome.
I'm not trying to minimize or invalidate anyone's complaints. The unwashed masses like me rely on the vocal superusers to highlight problems and push forward changes, so I thank you. But the point of this post is to hopefully put things into perspective, I guess. The hardware that people actually buy (not Roam, not Ray) is still great and millions of people will enjoy these speakers today. Hopefully some of you all can too. (Disclaimer no i'm not a bot or a schill and if your inclination is to write cool story bro don't bother, I got it. Thanks)

2024.05.21 18:11 TheWartortleOnDrugs Sales forecasts and goals in modern retail

I work in a non-grocery retail setting and if Loblaws is run anything like my store (and I suspect it is), then there's a building sense of dread each day at the local management level.
We have a sales forecast. It is based on previous years' sales and other information. Every single day every employee logs into a computer and the landing page states the daily progress to the goal. Managers are constantly emailing their subordinates pushing them to use the sales techniques they want us to use to improve our KPIs (key performance indicators if you're lucky enough to not know this term).
Real-time sales data has made this an obsession for some of the higher-ups at the local level. Their bonus is tied into ours. The whole store gets it or no one does, including managers.
This brings us to the sales gap: each day that your sales are lower than expected, your sales gap grows. And each day that passes, you run out of chances to close the gap. Eventually, it becomes mathematically impossible.
When this occurs early enough in the annual cycle, people see the writing on the wall and leave the company. Why burn yourself out helping a company desperately close a gap to sales forecast when you know there's nothing in it for you?
If Loblaws is like my store, they are sweating. They come in every day and see a growing gap. They're just waiting until corporate comes in and tells them what the consequences of that are: no bonuses for employees (dividends for shareholders though!), non-bargained benefits reduced or eliminated, reductions in hours, and higher expectations on management to keep it all running despite the austerity. Capital projects and improvements delayed. Financial penalties at the store budget level. You name it, they'll do it to save their bonus.
No matter what they say, a month of decreased sales was not projected. They will not revise forecasts. They will punish local employees, but especially local management. Then they will punish communities by allowing their stores to fall into (further) disrepair.

The "call center industry's contribution to the country's economic growth" in the Philippines has been nothing short of transformative, playing a pivotal role in driving the country's development and prosperity. Over the past few decades, the call center industry has emerged as one of the key drivers of economic growth, generating significant revenue, creating employment opportunities, and attracting foreign investments. For Australians seeking to understand the impact of the call center industry on the Philippines' economy, examining its contributions offers valuable insights into the industry's significance and potential opportunities for collaboration.
One of the primary contributions of the call center industry to the Philippines' economic growth is its substantial revenue generation. The industry generates billions of dollars in annual revenue through the provision of various call center services, including customer support, technical assistance, sales, and telemarketing. This revenue not only contributes to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) but also stimulates economic activity through multiplier effects, such as increased consumer spending and investment.
Moreover, the call center industry is a significant source of employment in the Philippines, providing millions of Filipinos with stable and well-paying jobs. The industry employs a diverse workforce, including college graduates, young professionals, and even those without a college degree. This employment opportunity has helped alleviate poverty, reduce unemployment rates, and improve the overall standard of living for many Filipinos and their families.
Additionally, the call center industry has been instrumental in attracting foreign investments and fostering economic growth. Multinational corporations from around the world have established their presence in the Philippines to leverage the country's skilled workforce and competitive labor costs. The call center industry's contribution to the Philippines' economic growth extends beyond direct revenue generation and job creation. It also plays a vital role in driving innovation, skills development, and human capital enhancement. Many call center agents receive extensive training in communication skills, problem-solving, and technical proficiency, equipping them with valuable skills that are transferable to other industries and sectors. This skilled workforce enhances the country's overall competitiveness and attractiveness as an outsourcing destination.
Furthermore, the call center industry has a positive impact on other sectors of the economy, such as real estate, telecommunications, and retail. The demand for office space, telecommunications infrastructure, and support services driven by the industry's expansion creates opportunities for growth and investment in these sectors. Additionally, the disposable income earned by call center employees stimulates consumer spending, supporting retail businesses and driving demand for goods and services.
In conclusion, the "call center industry's contribution to the country's economic growth" in the Philippines is undeniable and far-reaching. 2024.05.21 17:41 fnuduwuh Is my LBS overcharging me?

Hi all, I could do with some feedback to decide if I look for a new shop to take my bikes. The reason I ask is that I took my gravel bike in because the freewheel wasn't engaging (not 100% sure on the correct terminology, English is my second language and my knowledge on bike parts is limited). I hadn't asked for an estimate beforehand (I will next time), but I thought it'd be anywhere from 40 to 50 Euro's labour costs. Maybe another 40 to 50 euro's if they needed to replace the body.
They charged me over 130 euro's, and they sent me a link to pay online beforehand, so I decided to just look up what a new wheel costs. Mavic Aksium disc wheel rear was a little over 160 Euro's new and actually on sale on one website for a 100 Euro's. Now that annoyed me, because I get that labour isn't cheap; I'm paying someone for the work on top of gaining the experience and learning to do the work well. But I also expect that if the repair is going to cost almost as much as a new wheel not on sale and more than a wheel that is, that you inform a customer beforehand.
I decided to pay at pick up after work and see what they'd say. They mentioned replacing something that costs about 50 Euro's (this is similar to what it would cost to order it myself) and that the real cost is in the labour. I mentioned seeing the exact wheel I have for sale for a 100 and he replies that maybe the other mechanic overestimated the amount of labour. He knocks 40 Euro's off of the price (half the labour cost!). So I'm of two minds: either they overcharge you unless you call their bluff or it is reasonable and the guy just figured it wasn't worth the hassle at the end of the day. If it's the former, I'd rather look for a shop that doesn't require negotiating a fair price.
Edit: location is the Netherlands. Rear wheel is a Mavic Aksium disc they sold me two years ago after informing me the then two year old wheels that came stock we're finished when I brought it in for a checkup.
