Eyebrow bumps??
Hi everyone, I need some help. So I got my eyebrow pierced back in January on the 31st, the first month it was super swollen, red and eyelid bruised. The ball had fallen off so I went to another piercer and that's when he told me the bar I had was too short so he changed it to a longer one. After that the redness, swelling and bruising went away. I clean it 2 times a day, I admit before I was cleaning it like 4 times I was super scared of it rejecting bcus my piercings usually do (both sides of nose, smiley and bellybutton). I was touching it alot when I shouldn't have, also the skin around got super dry and I started peeling itšŸ¤¦šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø. I've started developing these bumps. I'm super scared of it rejecting, what can I do? First pic is Feb 5 , 4 days after I got it pierced Second pic is May 21

2024.05.21 21:31 AnonyMouseDoodle Short story I made, (inspired by The hot zone)

You notice a slight headache throughout the weeks of your stay in Kenya, you visited Kitum Cave Wednesday last week and ever since then you've been feeling.. off..
you go to a clinic Tuesday this week to see what is wrong, they say you have a raised temperature and a slight headache, might be a cold going around, they recommend headache relief and good rest,
the problem is.. you cant sleep, your mind is racing all the while it feels like its about to explode, suddenly its 7:00 AM. time to get up. you have a sharp pain in your chest and your muscles ache.
you look in the mirror.. your face.. its almost as if you are wearing a mask of skin with two beady beet-red eyes.
your stomach twists and turns in the most agonizing way, you turn to look at your watch, something isn't right, you have little bright red specks dotting from your arm to your wrist that itch and burn.
your frightened by this, and you know deep down this isn't the worst its going to get.
right now a strange organism is turning your internal organs into its own mushy playground, filling your cells with itself until the cells explode like an egg sac filled with spiders, the newly formed viruses burrow their way into more of your blood cells.
you call a doctor and schedule an emergency appointment to get you checked, your driving to the clinic twisting around a mountain.
you hear a strange sound in your gut as your insides drip out of your intestines in what feels like liquid fire.
your hit like a bullet with sudden nausea, you gag and retch trying not to vomit.. futile... black gunk pours out of your mouth like a high pressure tap.
your mind races to the point of extreme confusion.. you. cannot. breath... suddenly you go unconscious driving down from a mountain-top, your tires screech out of control, down you go.. its over for you...

2024.05.21 21:29 According_Cherry5760 TTC, what are the chances?

My app says I ovulated on the 12th, and for 4 days after the 12th I had this dull but sometimes intense pain in my ovary area specifically on my left side. We had sex on the 7th, 9th, 10th & 12th leading up to the 12th which is my supposed ovulation date. All unprotected. I am currently 9dpo and I have symptoms such as very sore nipples, bigger breasts, back pain, peeing frequently, nausea, cramps, pelvic pain, fatigue, and body aches. What are the odds that I conceived, and when should I test for the most accurate result? My period is due on the 27th.

Good afternoon, all. I hope everyone is recovering nicely and for those with scheduled surgery dates, I hope youā€™re getting great advice and info. from all of the wonderful people in this group. I wanted to pop on in and post about how things are going because I think I need people to tell me that Iā€™m doing the right or not so right things. Iā€™m listening to my body and giving it relief when I feel any slight discomfort. Please know that I value all opinions and like a new mom, Iā€™m learning as I go. Ok so, I had a robotic assisted laparoscopic total hysterectomy on May 3, I kept both ovaries. I will be 3wpo this Friday and I went back to work Monday, yesterday. Iā€™ve been working from home since 3dpo and decided that I felt good enough to be at work at least half day, so 4 hours, I ended up staying a little over 5 hours. I mostly sat upright at my desk but I did do some walking and quite a bit of standing. Most of the walking and standing was done all at the same time for a about an hour, between 10am and 11:15am. So the other 4 hours were spent sitting upright but I would stand or walk for a couple of minutes to get some relief from sitting, after about 20 - 30 minutes of sitting upright in my desk chair. By the time I left at 1:30pm, I felt the gravitational strain in my pelvic area. It wasnā€™t painful but I could feel some slight pressure and discomfort. When I got home, I went straight to bed and didnā€™t get up, for 3 hours, maybe 4. I was scared to get upright because I thought Iā€™d feel that pressure again but when I finally got up and out of bed, I felt completely fine. No discomfort whatsoever. I was actually kinda shocked. I still stayed in bed, only getting up out of necessity. When I woke up this morning, I felt great, no pressure or discomfort at all in the pelvic area but I do feel some soreness in the muscles in my inner thighs. I went back work this morning but did half the walking and standing and I left at noon. I was there less than 4 hours. I did feel the some of the same pressure and discomfort, no better or worse than the day before and like yesterday, I came straight to bed and Iā€™m going to stay here for the rest of the day. I donā€™t have anything going on at work tomorrow so I can work from home, if I want but Iā€™m wondering if my body needs that activity to build up strength. My energy levels are great and my mood is great and I donā€™t feel weak or fatigued at all. Also, I havenā€™t taken any type of pain medicine since I was 1wpo. What are your thoughts?

8 weeks post op pain / itching
I had my surgery 8 weeks ago and everything including recovery has been fine and normal. A few days ago my scar started itching really bad and is very tender to the touch. The photo makes it look a little darker than it is, but it's not swollen at all. All. Just wondering if this is temporary or I should mention it to my doctor. Thank you
And yes that is my ridiculous cat that does not leave me alone LOL

2024.05.21 21:25 lunarscout Newbie question: if doing resistance training followed by cardio, when is the best time to stretch?

If my typical gym session is a warmup, then mobility drills, followed by half an hour or so of resistance training, topped off with half an hour of cardio, when would be the best time to stretch down? At the very end, after the cardio, or after the resistance training?
For context, over the past year or so, and for the first time really in my life, I (35M) have been looking after myself (hitting the gym, eating well, all that good stuff). Iā€™m really enjoying it, and am starting to take things more seriously in the gym, but with that Iā€™m getting quite a bit of lingering soreness in certain muscle groups.
I tend to stretch down after cardio, at the end of my entire workout, but as that can be well over half an hour after training some muscle groups, Iā€™m wondering if that might be too late. Should I instead be stretching straight after resistance training, and before the cardio?
Or is when I do it moot so long as I do it, given that Iā€™m keeping the blood pumping and my body ā€œwarmā€ during cardio? Is stretching even likely to make that much of a difference to the soreness Iā€™m feeling?
Apologies for my ignorance, or if the answer to this is obvious; like I said Iā€™m fairly new to all this. I tried googling it but all the results said ā€œafter exerciseā€, which doesnā€™t quite answer my question.

2024.05.21 21:22 Melodic-Figure-729 Mystery pain eluded me for years

I am going to set up an appointment but it'll be a bit so I thought I'd throw the question out here.
Every once in a while I will have these very intense sort of pains. It's very hard to describe but the closest I can get is a very deep ache, like it's in my bones, and a immediate need to tense the muscles and stretch them as much as I can for a few min. Every time I feel like the answer to the pain would be to reach underneath my muscles and pull to stretch them out. Usually it goes away in 10 to 20 min if I get down to my skivvies and drink a lot of cold water.
It normally happens around bedtime or in the night. It sometimes will be where I wake up with a very bad taste in my mouth and feeling very warm but It's usually when I'm in bed and from what I remember, after taking Ib profin, Benadryl, melatonin, or NyQuil.
It is pretty rare, maybe once every few months to a year and I can take all of the other meds fine sometimes but sometimes this happens. I'm also not sure if the nighttime waking up is the same thing but the feeling is similar.
I am 25m and I have been on Adderall or Vyvanse for ADHD since 3rd grade for ADHD, no known allergies to medications. The only thing I could find through my Internet PHD (I googled) was restless leg syndrome but this is all over my body, primarily the backs of my arms and shoulders and calves.
Anyone got any ideas?
Edit: this came again last night which is why I ask but it's usually so intermittent I forget about it but I'm tired of not knowing what it is.

2024.05.21 21:17 Veinm Just a little self-reflection, I'd like to hear your ideas or inputs

Hello everyone, normally I would just be shy or something opening a thread (this is my first one, I believe), because it's hard for me to open my mouth first. I haven't been following this sub, but I felt I needed to post here, first result I got looking up. I've been thinking about me. I'm 30 years old, just coming out of a crippling depression I had for a bit more than half my yet short lived life. I'm starting to appreciate more things in life, but I've yet to break out my shell. I fear showing myself to the world. Lately I've been wondering of one thing or another. I tend to try to make people happy, and do a bit more and beyond for no ulterior motives. It just makes me happy, but when I come back to my room, it's always the silent staring at the screen, sitting in front of my computer playing videogames or watching anime. My arms are sore, I feel tired, smoke some tobacco over at my room's window... Then I wonder about tomorrow, what will I do. I feel powerless, and have decided to just go with the flow. Whatever comes, comes... That until now. I don't feel sad anymore but I've halted my growth a big time. I feel like having focused on everyone else as much as I remember made me neglect myself so much. I don't stretch, exercise I've settled with jogging/running, because I don't have those big muscles like to do heavy stuff. I don't know well how to cook, have little to none self-control on dietary stuff (am not overweight by the way, but I definitely should know better what I eat, is what I say). This all should give you an idea on the person I am, or have been so far. I've been really neglectful with myself, and until the day I do something about it, I won't ever feel truly alive again, like in those old youth days where one believed one could take over the world by oneself. Upon reflecting about just how careless I am about myself, I began stretching, and took a shower. Brushed my teeth and began typing this message. I think I'll keep learning how to stitch to repair my clothes, and will pick the barbells this evening. To whoever has taken the patience to read all this. One: I appreciate you taking the time to read. And two: have you felt like this before? What did you do?

2024.05.21 21:10 Mysterious_Theory328 Life feels destroyed after this diagnosis.

NOTE: I posted this elsewhere yesterday when I was completely spiraling. I feel a a fraction of a bit better today. I'm leaving this in word-for-word. Even though I say at the end I don't know why I posted this, I guess I do want to hear about other people's experiences. Its felt better to get this out.
The last three years of my life have been pretty tough, but I really thought I had come through the other side. I (M39) decided to go back to school, as I was not very happy in my former field. It was an extremely tough thing to do, as I would be taking a pay cut for the foreseeable future. My ex-girlfriend and I had been together for almost three years at this point and owned a house together. She said she supported my decision and understood my time would become limited considerably while I was in my program. Well that was a fucking lie. Almost immediately she started complaining about me "not taking her out" like I used to, or not doing as many projects around the house. The program I was in was already anxiety-inducing enough. To cut a long story short (because this isn't event what this post is about), I came to see our relationship was transactional, developed severe anxiety, and started to suffer health-related problems like high blood pressure. By the skin of my teeth I passed my program, became licensed, but had lingering issues around everything that had gone down in that span of time.
Over the last six months I have put in a lot of work and truly felt very hopeful for my future. I saw a therapist, got on some medications, lost 20 lbs. and got into great shape. Starting this new field has been a challenge, but also rewarding in the way I was looking for. I met a girl at work which I was very hesitant about d/t setting and some lingering anxiety issues. There was common interest, and I really explained what I had gone through and where I felt like I was. We both agreed to take things VERY SLOW. Hiking, lunch, movies, very casual for the first month. We finally had our first "serious" date - a fancy late night dinner and tickets to a show. We had some wine at her house after, and after some light touching and kissing, we had the conversation of getting tested because we were very much both interested in pursuing more. She had an ex give her chlamydia and had an upcoming OB/GYN appointment and was planning and getting a full workup. I thought "Well I've only slept with two women in the past eight years and have had no issues," but knew I hadn't been tested since 2016, which had shown I was clean.
I got my results back last Friday. HSV II. I'm fucking stunned. I mean I couldn't fucking breath. Full blown panic attack. I have never had any issues with my penis at all. Never any pain urinating, nothing. All the anxiety that I had worked so hard to get rid of came back and crushed me over this last weekend. It was all I could do to to get through my 12-hour shifts. I immediately hit up both of my ex's to figure out who the hell had given me this, as there was no other way. Last ex proceeds to tell me she had been tested about six months ago when she started dating her new boyfriend. I confirm she's clean for HSV II. She proceeds to berate me for being an idiot and a near 40 year-old with a disease now. I'll admit I'm not very proud of this, but she assumed I had caught something after her and I did not tell her that that left only the possibility of my relationship before her passing this to me.
So on to the title and why I'm so devastated. I'm really racking my brain on how I could have this but never see anything wrong with my penis. Then I read something that was my 'getting struck by lightening' moment. It was a post that is very similar to mine. Guy gets tested, guy gets HSV II diagnosis, perplexed at no previous penis symptoms. But he does get pretty bad cold sores from time-to-time. His Dr informs him that it's very possibly to get HSV II on your face. Now I never thought I had a cold sore before, but I remember back in 2017 getting an infected hair follicle in the hair right below my bottom lip after shaving. I went to the Dr, he looks at it and says "Yup, looks like an infection," give me antibiotics, but it doesn't go away for about two weeks. About two years after that, same thing happens: I shave, my follicle gets infected, I get more antibiotics from the Dr, and though it's not anywhere near as bad as the first time it still takes about two weeks to heal. Then almost exactly a year ago the same thing pops about, but this time I haven't shaved. Call my Dr, gives me antibiotics without even looking at it. I start looking at HSV II outbreaks in the same area as I was getting my infected follicle. I find a few pictures that look dead-on from what mine looks like. I at least though "Well, it's on my penis, condoms exist," but I'm not exaggerating in the least when I tell you after my realization I felt like the hopeless protagonist at the end of an HP Lovecraft novel where he realizes there is indeed a fate worse than death.
I'm finally able to get ahold of my ex from back in 2016. She confirms to me that she indeed has HSV II, but didn't think to tell me because we hadn't spoken in years. "I figured if you didn't reach out then we were good." This confirms she cheated on me because we were tested together. I don't even care about that now. Now my focus shifts to the girl I'm currently dating. She knows something is up. So I just started at where we work and on the other hand she's been there for six years. She is like family to most people on the floor. I'm the annoying new guy who barely knows anyone. She has her OB/GYN appointment today and I realize I need to tell her that not only do I have HSV II, that it's on my face and there is possibility she might have it on hers' too. She is very calm about it but I can tell in her voice that she is shook. I hope to beyond all fucking hope that her test comes back all clear. I'm also legitimately contemplating put in my resignation at work, a job I just fucking started. There's no way this doesn't get out at work and I don't become ostracized. I don't know how I'm going to approach this in the future, I don't see any romance in my life anymore. And this is so fucking selfish, but if I gave this to her I am legitimately scared on how this will make ME feel. I'm scarred that that guilt will cripple me and I'll be doomed to live in constant anxiety. I don't feel any better writing this all out, in fact I feel worse. I have no idea why the fuck I'm posting this.

2024.05.21 21:07 guy1108 Injection swelling

I'm just trying to get possibly another perspective on this situation. I don't want to call my doctor yet to discuss it unless I know it could be a serious problem.
I'm supposed to be 6 months on T by now. In reality I've only been ON T for 5 because a month ago my formula got back ordered at quite literally every pharmacy in my city(I called almost all of the ones google would show me to ask). After like a week of back and forth with pharmacies and with my doctor, I decided my best option would just be to go in and get switched to a different formula. After getting canceled on the first time, I went back about a week ago and got switched. So, after a month of being off T I finally got my refill 2 days ago and gave myself my shot in my right thigh.
Here's where the concerns come from: my thigh is now noticeably swollen on the side where I did the shot, and extremely tender to the touch. I'm not sure exactly what I did wrong. (i do .25 subq once/wk) I was having trouble holding the fat on my thigh when I did it (it's hot as tits where i live rn and my everything was covered in a thin layer of sweat). But I didn't think it was that bad, it still looked like I was holding enough and I managed to do the whole injection and keep my grip. Idk, I've had a nurse explain to me twice now how to do the shots and I swear on my soul I think I'm doing it exactly how it was shown to me every time I have a problem like this.
About 3 months in I actually already switched formulas. I started on cypionate, but switched to enanthate after discussing with my provider that I was having issues with redness and itchiness at injection sites. I explained to her how I had been doing the injections and I had just been doing them too high up on my thigh, but she decided to switch me anyone as a precaution. I've now just switched back from enanthate(out of stock everywhere) to cypionate(the injection i just gave myself the other day).
I genuinely don't know what I'm doing wrong at this point and I don't think I can mentally handle even one more week of having to be off my T while I jump through 89 hoops just to get treatment that works for me.
Idk it can also just be really discouraging. I have yet to have the process of my getting my T refilled go smoothly. There's always some kind of issue. I was euphoric for so long over the major changes I was seeing and that kind of just got stomped all over by the system intentionally designed to make this as hard as possible. Sometimes I feel like giving up, but I don't really have a choice. I'm sure other trans people can relate. I have to get this treatment or it will mean very bad consequences for my mental state, if you catch my meaning. Giving up just because they want to make it as difficult as possible isn't an option.
But anyways, I'm just wondering if anybody might have some advice that might help me going forward with my shots. And if I should be worried about the current swelling and soreness.

I'm a guy. 5' 10, 205lbs. Looking to exercise 4-5 days per week. Mix of cardio and strength, as I'd like to get muscle but need to cut down the belly.
Met with a personal trainer who showed me pull-ups, Romanian deadlifts, squats, lunges, plank, and (I forget the name, but laying on the bench and pushing dumbbells up).
Can someone help me get a sense of what a schedule/reps/sets should look like?
Any other advice for beginners (safety, soreness, etc)

2024.05.21 21:01 Level_Preference4154 How should I go about getting a proper test?

Iā€™m not currently diagnosed with MCAS but strongly suspect I have it. OTC Anti-histamines and stabilizers have helped me a lot but I still wish I could get a proper test done. Iā€™ve heard about cromolyn and feel something like that beneficial assuming I actually have MCAS. The OTCs are helpful but the breakthroughs are still very much there. I have days where I can feel the tingling, sinus issues, GI distress, nausea, muscle soreness, etc. Days lost to 4-5 hour long naps and fatigue. I feel as though my psychiatric issues could be improved as well. My anxiety and mood disorder seem a little more under control these days but I think as long as I have inflammation the fluctuations in mental health are still pretty unstable. On my physically clear days I notice I have a measurable difference in cognition and psychiatric health. Itā€™s great to not feel like my body is under complete siege 24/7 but not enough.
I went to the ER during a a evere episode about 6 months back. I had one doctor look and confirm that my throat was swollen and red but since all the bloodwork they did turned up normal i got sent home, only to have to figure out what OTC treatment to use (thank god for this community) so I wouldnā€™t have to call out of work all the time and feel like I was dying. I just have this feeling that if I were put on a strong prescription medication my life could be different.
I have an allergist who did a panel on me a while back but I almost want to call again and request a test for MCAS. I donā€™t know if an allergist would have a test for MCAS or if I should ask for an immunologist. I donā€™t even know how to ask for this. Iā€™m used to having my concerns brushed aside so I never even brought up the idea of MCAS.

2024.05.21 20:55 CV2nm I'm 31F and my hematoma bruising keeps appearing and making me unwell

Im a 31 year old female with endometriosis and ADHD. I weigh 45kg and 154cm in height. White, female, generally pretty healthy bar the endometriosis and physically active. Take ADHD meds during day and melatonin at night usually for ADHD related sleep onset issues.
Now on codeiene 30mg, Pregabalin 50mg x 3 times per day. Anti sickness meds from post op complications and suspected pudenal neuraglia.
I had a larsoscopy in January. My aterty was cut (unsure which bit likely a branch of lilo lumbar or espgatric) I bled into my pelvis and labia and crashed in the ward a few hours after surgery. I developed a grade 3 hematoma. The hospital discharged me with no follow up or aftercare plan so no one has physically assessed me since surgery bar my GP. My GP arranged an ultrasound 4 weeks post op to confirm blood has reasborded. I had a UTI around this time, which resolved. However the nausea, stabbing pains in hematoma site, reduced ability to open my bowels/bladder, reduced sensitivity on my left leg and labia have not resolved. My GP suspects nerve damage, and I am now on Pregabalin as a result to manage the burning sensation and pain in my groin. I can barely walk or sit some days due to pain. I've been on Pregabalin 2 months so fairly adjusted to it. It brings some relief.
However, Everytime I have a "pain flare up" my former hematoma site darkens and becomes bruised, this can be from as little as having sex or walking to trying to do more physical activity. This builds up over days until it is sore to touch and I begin to lose mobility due to pain. Opening my bowels and fully emptying my bladder becomes almost impossible, to the point I'm in agony just going to the toilet. I've started to manually evacuate (I've done this occasionally for many years due to IBS related to endometriosis) and notice how blocked my actual back passage feels, it feels like there is this bump pushing down into it from the part close to my vagina that I cant seem to adjust or move. I cannot tolerate insertion to my vagina that is at 12 o'clock (near my bladder) or six o'clock (near my rectum).
Yesterday I lost my footing due to trying to get off the toilet after weeing due to stabbing pain in surgery site after emptying my bladder. I noticed the entire area has developed patches of brown/blue markings, and I am experiencing loose bowel motions and today. The pain is so bad I can't sit anymore today and have been in bed most the day. My usual stretches and pain killers are bringing no relief.
My GP is concerned and has referred me to a urologist, endo specialist and rectal surgeon. My boyfriend is also a doctor (junior) and has no idea why the bruising appears and what causes these bad pain flares. All vaginal swaps and urine tests came back clear.
If anyone has any ideas or in this area, please let me know.

2024.05.21 20:54 Alternative-Ad4694 opinions???

hello! gonna attach a pic of what my ā€œsplotchā€ usually looks like. ive literally never paid mind to it until about 2 weeks ago. so I Google it and of course the first thing that pops up is breast cancer. hoping others experience this or hoping someone can help ebb away my anxiety. My boobs have always looked like this for as long as I can remember. I have always had very large breasts. It does look like my boobs are bruised but the discoloration comes and goes. Sometimes itā€™s red. And I notice it changes colors when im taking a shower or im cold. I donā€™t wear a bra 95% of the time. itā€™s only on this boob. Sometimes on the other but hardly. Besides that I have no other symptoms of IBC. itā€™s never hot to touch. My nipples arenā€™t inverted. Sometimes my chest gets sore but itā€™s a job lugging these things around everyday. Just wondering what others think? Thanks for reading.

Stretch Away the Aches: Effective Techniques for
Back pain is one of the most common ailments affecting people of all ages and lifestyles. Whether itā€™s due to poor posture, injury, or chronic conditions, back pain can significantly hinder your daily activities. However, incorporating massage for back pain, medical massage therapy, and massage therapy for back pain into your routine can offer substantial relief. Here are some effective techniques that focus on these approaches to help you manage and alleviate your back pain:
https://preview.redd.it/6tp13mm5rt1d1.png?width=593&format=png&auto=webp&s=cb036fa52be30861072ef24d694935ba40d2ed93
Targeted Massage for Back Pain: Massage for back pain is designed specifically to address the unique needs of those suffering from back aches. Techniques like deep tissue massage can release the tension in the muscles surrounding the spine, leading to immediate relief and long-term benefits.
Medical Massage Therapy: Medical massage therapy is a more targeted approach where the therapy is tailored to treat specific medical conditions. It involves techniques that are specifically designed to reduce pain, improve circulation, and release muscle tension in the back. This type of massage is often recommended by healthcare providers as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Stretching Techniques Combined with Massage: Integrating stretching with massage therapy for back pain can enhance the benefits. Stretching the muscles of the back, legs, and abdominal core can improve flexibility and decrease the strain on the spine. When combined with massage, these techniques can help prevent future episodes of back pain by strengthening the muscles and improving posture.
Heat Therapy: Incorporating heat therapy during a massage session can further enhance pain relief. Heat helps to relax and loosen tight muscles, making it easier for the massage therapist to work more deeply without as much discomfort.
Myofascial Release: This technique involves gentle, sustained pressure on the soft tissues while applying traction to the fascia. This therapy helps in reducing pain and restoring motion. By focusing on the connective tissue, myofascial release helps in reducing muscle stiffness and improving blood flow which is crucial for recovery.
Trigger Point Therapy: Often used in massage therapy for back pain, this method focuses on identifying and releasing trigger points - specific ā€œknotsā€ that form in muscles which can cause pain beyond their location. Trigger point therapy is especially beneficial for those with chronic muscle pain and is known for its effectiveness in providing relief from back pain.
Regular Sessions: For chronic back pain sufferers, regular massage for back pain sessions can help maintain the health of the spinal column and the muscles supporting it. Consistency is key in preventing the recurrence of back pain and maintaining the benefits of massage.
Consultation with Professionals: Itā€™s important to consult with a massage therapist who specializes in medical massage therapy to understand the best approach for your specific back pain issues. They can guide you through a customized regimen that addresses your particular needs.
By incorporating these massage techniques, you can effectively manage and alleviate your back pain. Whether you choose massage for back pain, medical massage therapy, or a combination of methods, these approaches offer a natural and holistic way to heal and maintain the health of your back. Remember, each individualā€™s needs are different, so itā€™s beneficial to consult with a professional to tailor the best treatment plan for you.

2024.05.21 20:41 RexyEatsGoats Is it dying?

Is it dying?
Iā€™ve had this wart for almost 2 years now. It used to look white/light pink and cauliflower-y. Iā€™ve done many rounds of compound W, which would turn the whole thing white and then it would fall off but grow back within a week.
This time, Iā€™ve been soaking it in ACV overnight. Iā€™ve done this 5 nights with a little debridement. It has now turned black and has flattened out considerably (it has never been black before). My knuckle was sore/swollen after my last night of ACV (almost like they feel when youā€™re dehydrated) and my healthy skin was beginning to peel around that finger, so I took a little break.
Is it dying? What should I do from here?

2024.05.21 20:36 jason_hut Cold Sore?

24M, 6'1, 200mg Lamictal, Occasional Cigarette smoker So about 12 days ago I woke up with what felt like a bruised/swollen bottom right lip. Not any tingling, just felt tender. Over the next few days, the swelling went down except for in more isolated spots still on the bottom of the right lip that felt like small bumps (near the border but I think on the lip). there hasn't really been any pain, only annoyance from licking the spot and really drying the skin. Then about 9 days in a couple of white heads similar to the one in the picture popped up and rose to the surface very quickly. I popped them and a tiny bit of white pimple-like fluid came out. Now another tiny white head popped up and the skin is just extremely dry. Everyone I've asked to look at it doesn't think it is/was a cold sore but I cant figure out what else it could be. Thoughts?
Sorry for the shitty picture!

2024.05.21 20:34 Plejad BFS Vent

I feel like I could scream and cry, Iā€™m so angry and desperate. Iā€˜m (35 f) having my second BFS episode with twitches, jerks and for three weeks now, Iā€™m having stiff legs and neck and sore muscles. I canā€™t walk well, it feels weird. I canā€™t sit on the floor and itā€™s even more painful to get up. I went to my doctor twice, but since my blood, lungs and heart seemed fine, he sent me off as healthy. He checked my knee and said, he canā€™t find anything and I should see an orthopedist. I tried to reach one, but I wonā€™t be abled to see one in the next three months. Iā€™m freaking out, cause my big, fancy wedding is in four weeks. I want to be be happy, but instead im sliding in a second episode of bfs and extreme health anxiety. Last time this happened, I had just given birth to my son and this absolutely destroyed month of my life that should have been wonderful, but I was in excruciating fear. I still canā€™t forgive myself for being this depressed, crazy, anxious person I was then. I donā€™t want to do this to my boyfriend again. I hate this, Iā€™m scared and I feel so so let down by the medical system and by my f***** body.

2024.05.21 20:31 Greedy-Big-2046 Iā€™m so scared any advice would be helpful

So the last couple months Iā€™ve been dealing with what I thought was extremely somatic anxiety. Until I got some blood work done and it came back that my ANA levels were elevated. (1:160 homogeneous, nuclear) I have a mild family history of autoimmune diseases, my mom has lupus and my grandmother has celiac disease.
Over the last few months Iā€™ve been trying to treat myself for the anxiety but Iā€™m afraid that whatever is actually wrong with me Iā€™m only making worse with intensive exercise and work. Iā€™ve tried to fill my time with those things as a result Iā€™m completely exhausted.
Symptom wise things havenā€™t gotten any better mostly it appears Iā€™m suffering from neurological effects of whateverā€™s going on.
-numbness
But there are now some other things that have popped up causing concern
Iā€™m worried Iā€™ve developed lupus and based on the extensive amount of reading Iā€™ve done I feel like it has mostly ruined any sense of a normal life people have had. Furthermore as a single white dude, I know it is rare for my demographic, but I feel like itā€™s really gonna be hard. Like I donā€™t have anyone to help me, Iā€™m supposed to be the one making life happen, providing and building. I feel like Iā€™m losing myself and Iā€™m real scared. My rheumatologist has ordered some more test I get done today but in all honesty I donā€™t think itā€™s looking too good for me. I get sick a lot more than anyone else I know like I at least miss a few days of work every month, I always just figured I was weak but now Iā€™m starting to think it wasnā€™t my fault.

2024.05.21 20:22 GiammyR6 I feel like my herniated disc is healing.

I told my story in a previous post ( https://www.reddit.com/backpain/s/4t7llX8Bxu ). I just wanted to share my progress here!! I went to the physiotherapist 2 weeks ago and he told me the nerve isn't affected by the herniation anymore. He advised me to try movements for 15/20 minutes a day and see if they had any repercussions on my back. I tried playing volleyball (no jumping whatsoever, just receiving and moving a little bit), my back muscles were a little bit sore but not painful. I tried running 4km on Sunday (first time ever running) and no pain whatsoever afterwards. Today I played volleyball with more jumping and moving, and guess what no pain whatsoever. I only get pain if i extreemely arch my back. I finally feel like I'm healing from my injury. I might get back to the gym after 3 months in about a week or so. My next physio appointment is on the 27th. I'd appreciate any advice until then!

Ultrasound: Ultrasound of the neck is utilized to detect any abnormalities present, which can subsequently be verified using CT or MRI scans.
X-rays: The doctors may opt for chest x-ray to determine the suffererā€™s general health and to analyze the spread of lung cancer.
CT Scan: A radiological procedure is performed to confirm and pinpoint the presence of disease or cancer in the neck region, while also assessing any potential lymph nodes. This involves creating detailed cross-sectional images of the targeted structure from various angles.
MRI: Using radio waves and magnets, the test produces detailed images about whatā€™s going on inside your body.
