2024.05.21 11:19 igotsum Immigration share code asked when unavailable

Immigration share code asked when unavailable
I have a Schengen visa appointment at the Italian Consulate in London next week. The VFS website states that they require not just my Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), but also a share code that proves my immigration status.
I possess a UK student visa whose validity extends up to 2028. I have heard that the Home Office have sent emails to a small set of people inviting them to make a UKVI account, which would allow them to obtain their share code / view their eVisa. I have not received such an email and currently cannot view my records nor generate a share code to prove my immigration status. The Home Office eventually intends to provide a public link/invite to all BRP holders to make their account, view their records and generate a share code for immigration status, but I doubt this is going to happen anytime in May, meaning I would not be able to provide a share code as a part of my application.
Some of my friends have used their right to work or right to rent share codes as proof of visa validity for their Schengen visa applications to other consulates. But I'm a bit apprehensive about using these share codes when the Italian Consulate clearly states this is not valid.
Has anyone had this experience or is going through a similar experience? It would be nice to get some advice on how to best proceed with my Schengen tourist visa application. I am concerned that not providing a share code or providing the wrong share code will lead to a direct visa refusal. I will be travelling to Italy in July and was really lucky to secure an appointment. I considered postponing my appointment hoping that the Home Office might allow all BRP holders to access their share codes by early June, but it is close to impossible to reschedule or book a new appointment now.
Any advice would be really appreciated, thanks.

2024.05.21 11:08 Wisetechwords27 How to add images to metafields in shopify

Adding images to Shopify metafields involves creating a metafield definition and then populating that metafield with the desired image URLs.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:
Step 1: Create a Metafield Definition
  1. Navigate to Settings > Metafields.
  2. Select the part of your store where you want to add the metafield (e.g., Products, Variants, Collections, etc.).
  3. Click on 'Add definition.'
  4. Fill out the necessary information:
    • Name: Enter a name for your metafield (e.g., "Custom Image").
    • Namespace and key: Use a namespace and key that makes sense for your store (e.g., "custom_fields.image").
    • Type: Select "File" and then "Image" from the type dropdown menu.
  5. Save

Step 2: Add an Image to the Metafield

  1. Go to the part of your store where you created the metafield definition (e.g., a specific product page).
  2. Scroll down to the Metafields section.
  3. Find your newly created metafield.
  4. Click on the 'Select file' button or drag and drop the image you want to use.
  5. Save the changes on the product or page.

Step 3: Display the Metafield Image in Your Theme

To display the metafield image on your storefront, you'll need to edit your theme's code:
  1. Navigate to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Find the theme you are using and click 'Actions' > 'Edit code'.
  3. Locate the appropriate template file (e.g., product.liquid for product pages).
  4. Add the following Liquid code to display the metafield image:

{% if product.metafields.custom_fields.image %} Custom Image {% endif %}
Replace custom_fields and image with the namespace and key you used.

Example Scenario

Let's say you created a metafield for products to add a custom promotional image. Here's how you'd implement it:
  1. Create the metafield definition with the namespace custom_fields and key promo_image.
  2. Add an image to the metafield for a specific product.
  3. Edit the product.liquid file to include the following code where you want the image to appear:

{% if product.metafields.custom_fields.promo_image %} Promotional Image {% endif %}
This code checks if the metafield exists and then displays the image using Shopify's img_url filter to generate the appropriate image URL.
By following these steps, you should be able to add and display images using Shopify metafields effectively. If you encounter any specific issues or have further questions, feel free to ask!

2024.05.21 10:53 PanOnFire92 Samsung phone - Lineage OS - Date & Time: late 1 minute

Hello my dear Redditers! I used a very old Samsung GT-I9195 with Lineage OS: lineage_serranoltexx-userbug 11 RQ3A.211001.001 eng.arco.20220316.015714 build installed on it the last two years without any problem with two factor app. The last 4 weeks i noticed that from 10 try only 1 time accepted my codes generated by the two factor app when i want to login on the websites. I noticed the time on the phone is late 1 minute. So this is why the website doesnt accept my two factor codes. I tried on the phone set the date & time, use network-provided time or local default, but still the phone is 1 minute late. Have you got any clue is this can be related to that the phone is old or Lineage is out of support or is there any way I can fix this? Of course i made a Samsung s10 for a backup now but im very curious why the time can be late 1 minute on this device.. searching on google it looks like other Samsung models like Note 20 Ultra 5G has same issue.. why?

2024.05.21 10:53 _gomeztorres Invoking Cloud Function from Make.com

Hey everyone! I just started an internship at a startup. We're using some of GCP services such as Cloud SQL and the Maps API, and now we're starting to use the Functions service. However, I'm ran into a bit of a problem (keep in mind, I'm not too technical and still quite new to GCP).
We deployed an OpenAI assistant to help employees with some tasks, and wrote some Python code that allows to run threads and send messages back and forth. Then, we deployed this in an HTTP Google Function, tested it, and it worked.
Here's the thing:
Our "front" app or user interface uses Make.com to make the POST request, calling the function. However, we're having trouble with authentication. For testing, we were manually generating access tokens constantly since they expire after 1 hour, after which we would get a 401 response.
Then we created a service account, but realized that since we can't run code on our Make.com scenario, we are not able to generate authentication for this service either.
What can we do? Is there a way I can generate the tokens from Make.com, or authenticate my service in some other way when calling the function?

2024.05.21 10:31 andreidevo $3K/Month Selling AI Images on Stock Marketplaces

Hey! I'm Andrei, the founder of Inspo Stories.
Inspo Stories is a deep dives blog about successful apps, saas and business in general.
Let’s begin with an interview!

How did you started?

I first created bulkai (Bulk image generation) to generate pictures to create a card game for my kids. I have always loved working on side projects. 2023 has been particularly special. I created a few open-source projects related to AI and automation that together reached 200 stars, a significant increase from my usual 0 to 5.This success led people to contact me with questions and feature requests. I made some valuable contacts through this and shared great ideas with others around the world.
Inspired by one of these ideas, I decided to create automation tools that could generate passive income. I was skeptical at first, only pursuing it because I enjoy developing such things. Surprisingly, it ended up generating much more income than I anticipated.
This experience has motivated me to continue #indiehacking and investing some of my free time in side projects. I'm always looking for things that I enjoy, but now I'm also exploring this newfound opportunity for additional income.

What are the main places to sell AI stocks? Which one works better?

There are many stock image stores, but only a few accept AI content. Here are the three stores I have worked with:

What's your 3 skills which give you insane advantage?

  1. I have very high technical skills, which make me efficient enough to work on side projects despite having a time-constrained life (9-5 job, family, kids, etc.)
  2. I apply lateral thinking to overcome problems and issues, which helps greatly in avoiding development roadblocks.
  3. I'm organized and methodical. I invest time in keeping records and taking notes, which are invaluable when I need to bootstrap new projects or solve problems. I have a huge personal database of source code and guides that I can reuse.

2024.05.21 09:33 andreidevo $3K/Month Selling AI Images on Stock Marketplaces

  • Adobe Store: It is by far the best in terms of functionality and payment.
  • 123rf: It works decently, but the payout is quite low compared to Adobe.
  • Freepik: Nice functionality, but the payout is by far the worst

What's your 3 skills which give you insane advantage?

  1. I have very high technical skills, which make me efficient enough to work on side projects despite having a time-constrained life (9-5 job, family, kids, etc.)
  2. I apply lateral thinking to overcome problems and issues, which helps greatly in avoiding development roadblocks.
  3. I'm organized and methodical. I invest time in keeping records and taking notes, which are invaluable when I need to bootstrap new projects or solve problems. I have a huge personal database of source code and guides that I can reuse.
Read a full article here on inspostories
Information you will find there:
  • How long does it take to earn $100-200/month working 2-3 hours a day?
  • Which tools are advantageous? Can MidJourney suffice, or is a server setup necessary for bulk image processing?
  • Tech part. What are the key insights? Over 500k generated images
  • is there still room to start selling AI stock images? Will this opportunity last for the next 2-3 years or more?
  • What's next trends to get into?
