Using .wim for archival file backup to tape

2024.05.29 12:53 Few-Commercial-9869 Using .wim for archival file backup to tape

I have a rather large about of data that I need to find a fast and efficient way of transferring to cold storage on tape. It contains about 30 % of duplicate files (mostly within the same project structure). The data is also quite easy to compress down to 50 %. It does however contain a huge amount of small files that make transfer directly to tape a slow and bad idea. After playing around with different ways to solve this, I stumbled over the .wim format. It seems to have good support now on both Windows and Linux with 7zip or other tools. It is very fast to package files and have built it file level deduplication. It also seems like the files compress just as good if they are packaged in the wim format first as if they where compressed directly.
There seems to be limited information available on using the wim format as a backup tool for file storage, but I have a hard time finding other well supported alternatives that has built in fast deduplication.
Thinking of choosing a suitable depth in the file tree and packing each of the parent folders into .wim files and then hopefully the hardware level compression of the tape drive can be used for the compression part. In theory this would give fast backup and recovery speeds from tape while limiting the amount of duplicate data.
Is there any obvious drawbacks of using the wim format for this instead of the usual tar ? I am planning to use LTFS on the tapes.

2024.05.29 12:49 The-Hyrax XE75 WiFi speed drops to 10-100Mbit every ~24h

Hoping there's a solution to this.
I bought a 3-pack of the XE75 a week ago and set it up. All nodes have a wired backhaul and I get my max internet speed (750Mbit) wireless as well when standing 1-3m away from it. Further away, the speed is still really reliable. I tested all wired locations with my laptop and all locations are getting 750Mbit wired, so the wiring should be OK.
However, since almost the beginning, I've noticed a huge drop in speed every 20-24h, where I'm getting anything from 10-100Mbit on spots I usually get 300+Mbit. What's even more strange is that this is also happening to computers with a wired connection.
Almost feels like it has to do something with the DHCP lease.
I found some topics with similar issues but without a solution. I'm on the edge of either returning it, or trying to fix it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: wireless mode is set to 2.4+5Ghz with 6Ghz as dedicated backhaul (as I only have one 6E device it didn't make sense to activate it)

2024.05.29 12:44 krww111 Help with identifying this nepenyhes

So recently i bought this nepenthes online that was labelled lowii x ventricosa. As soon as i saw the price i bought not one but a few since i knew that the dealer was kinda legit. By kinda i mean in our community he is known for selling plants that are mislabelled but only heard a complaint once or twice. So the plants arrived in perfect shape , i put them in my growing tent which has intermediate conditions, so both highlanders and lowlanders can grow. So far everything seemed perfect, the first thing that made me think this plant is not a lowii x ventricosa but some other hybrid is that it got acclimatised very fast and started throwing pitchers EVERYWHERE, each one being bigger. I recently started my new collection but as i have grown highlanders/ultrahl i know that they are painfully slow. The second i got suspicious i looked up the internet and it seemed vert different from what i had. It is absolutely beautiful but the fact that i donā€™t know what it is keeps me constantly curious. I know here we have many experts with years of experience, can you tell me what am i actually growing. I will put some pictures. Thank you in advance. Tldr: need ID

2024.05.29 12:42 Otherwise_Sail5528 I might have hurt an old woman with my car, but I don't know

Late November last year I was backing out of a parking spot behind my building with the intent to move it to another spot about 20 meters over. I backed out in a L shape, as the spot was perpendicular to the single lane road. I only looked into one of the 3 rear mirrors and when I saw an incoming car down the road behind I stopped from backing up and I went towards so they won't steal the other spot. I parked and I pulled up my phone in the car but I noticed the other car stopped near me and the driver talking with the window down. At first I thought they wanted that spot but then I opened the door to hear them and they said "Hey, you hit an old lady there, go check on her or ill have to report you".
My heart froze. I swear I did not feel anything, if he didn't stop me I could have carried on with my day never knowing about that. When I looked down the road I saw an old woman with a garbage back walking slowly to some trashcans, behind the old spot I was in. I ran to her and in my panicked, tried to apologise and ask what happened. She wasn't entirely clear and I was too scared to really think rationally, several times my voice died and she asked me to talk louder. She kept throwing the trash one by one from the bag as I talked to her. She said she thought I saw her, and to be careful cause there could be kids. She was obviously upset but didn't seem really in pain or something. Then she started walking away, slowly. I couldn't tell if she fell over on the cement road, or if I just slightly shoved her. Cause how fast is the speed of a car backing out of a spot? I tried to simulate the event later and the speed meter didn't even reach the first marking above 0.
I asked her if she wanted to go to the hospital and she refused. Asked her if she's OK and she said something along the lines of "I have other health issues". She was walking kinda slow but I don't remember her limping or seeing any dirt on her clothes, she had a winter jacked and hood on. And she kept walking to her building which is 2 buildings after mine.
I came later that evening and the next evening and tried to wait for people to walk out of her building. To ask about her, to find out who she is. But people either didn't know or didn't wanna say. To be fair I don't know much about her beyond "grey hair, walks slowly, shorter than me". Kinda generic for old women.
Then I let it go, with advice from friends saying she didn't want help so I'm fine. But the guilt stayed with me. 2 months later I tried again and this time another old woman let me on the buidling and told me who she thinks the woman I hit is. In those 2 months I think I saw her once walk on the street but I didn't stop to talk to her out of shame, that time she had a crutch and when I hit her she didn't. This other woman asked me if it's an old woman with a crutch so I said yes, and she pointed me to an apartment number. I rang the door, and no answer. Saw movement through the eye but she either ignored me or didn't hear. But she didn't look other, she didn't ignore cause of who I was, just ignored the doorbell.
I was calmed down on the moment because I saw signs of life, meaning she was alive. I'm a med student and I know how easy old people can get hurt, I was terrified of the idea of a head injury and a brain bleed that would hurt her hours or days later.
Well now 6 months later I began feeling guilty again and my anxiety made me doubt if I even had the right door back then. Cause the woman I hit did not have a crutch, but the one in the apartment has. But it's a 30 apartment buidling with mostly young student renters, how many old women can be in there...?
I read some more medicine and found a super common condition that is basically a delayed brain bleed old people often do from minor injuries. Symptoms show up months later and can be fatal if not treated. Now I'm starring to panick again, about the small chance the woman fell and hit her head when I bumped into her, then got this delayed bleed. It's not something she likely would notice by herself, symptoms are insidious with sleepiness and forgetfulness and headaches.
I've been thinking to go back to that door and try again. I could easily get into the building alone by saying it's the post at the interphone, no one checks. Did it often as a kid to random places. But I feel I am also approaching stalker level here and I don't want to be creepy. I've looked at what her window would be based on the apartment number and floor and from time to time I look if she has lights on, as in if someone still is alive in that one person apartment.
Idk what to do. I feel if I don't properly see her ill have this haunt me for my whole life. But to just jump at her door like that might scare her and stuff. I tried calling the apartment at the interphone but she never picks up, again I don't know if she hears it. I'm terrified of the thought there's this small chance I could kill someone through such a small mistake. But after 6 months would a chronic subdural hematoma (for the few doctors here in the know) even be a threat anymore? Should have shown bad signs by now, if she's OK now she shouldn't be at risk, I hope.

2024.05.29 12:37 ChaosFlux_ Kingdra ex X Tsareena ex

Kingdra ex X Tsareena ex
Tldr: i made a tsareena kingdra deck way too early
Now, I know it'll still a long way to go before Kingdra ex drops, but I stupidly decided to make a deck for it before the shrouded fable cards drop (which might mean I just wasted all my time but whatever). Disclaimer: if you're here expecting a Bax deck, there isn't one lol. Its a Tsareena ex deck
So heres the decklist (pretend arceus vstar can now morph into kingdra ex being the god of pokemon) and some explanations on certain card choices:
Overall theory: Kingdra ex can bring in both Vanilluxe and Tsareena, and conveniently there is a Kingdra that also doubles up as draw power. Most arguments against Kingdra ex is its speed (1 turn to setup using an attack is too slow). However, this can be offset if we're playing it in a control deck that's not rushing for prizes. The idea behind this deck is to use the Kingdra line to boost consistency of Tsareena control.
Kingdra line (ex and seething currents): Built-in draw engine AND hand disruption (though 4 cards is quite a lot) and (relatively) more consistent setup for Vanilluxe and Tsareena. Vanilluxe and Tsareena ex can both be brought in by Kingdra.
Vanilluxe/Tsareena/Hisuian Braviary: The Tsareena combo that's usually too slow and inconsistent, so most people have been running panic mask instead. Well, now with Kingdra ex, he can put both of them into play, and then still has 1 more spot for a spare Tsareena or Vanilluxe or Seething Current Kingdra or whatever
Ace Spec: secret box I chose secret box over something like scoop up cyclone or prime catcher or even legacy energy.
Catcher doesn't seem particularly useful for Tsareena, and honestly this deck isn't going to be taking prizes early so imo counter catcher does the same thing if you really need to Trop Kick a Monkidori or something.
Initially, I thought getting the right energy would be a massive issue, so I included legacy energy as the ace spec, and its prize denial kind of fits. But with enhanced hammer going around and Earthen Vessel searching 2 energy, I realised searching for Vessel is a better pick than adding 1 energy to the deck.
Cyclone could be useful for denying prizes, and I'm not sure why I'm not running it either. A strong argument can be made for cyclone, as sometimes in Tsareena you don't have the bench space to play a late Rufflet for Braviary.
But overall I chose secret box because it just adds an insane amount of consistency: grabbing Irida, Jamming Tower, TM Evo, and Earthen Vessel/Poffin is so powerful in a combo-control deck like this that it's hard to pass up.
Jamming Tower: Any HP-adding tools are the bane of Tsareena's existence. side eyes bravery charm
Enhanced Hammer: Was thinking about Temple of Sinnoh too. Mist energy breaks this deck and makes Tsareena crouch and cry in a corner so I need to play either Hammer or Temple to counter those.
Some cards that I can't find space for: 1. Forest seal stone: Boy do I wish I could squeeze this in. Maybe drop a Seadra? 2. Switch: the deck runs almost no energy to spare, and has no acceleration, so any down time because someone Bossed up a Vanilluxe or something could be fatal 3. Super Rod: in the event all my Rufflets get knocked out or run out of energy I'm going to really wish I had this. 4. Accompanying flute: piling up the opponent's bench is fantastic for Tsareena. Can't find space to run it at multiple copies though, and I think running 1 is a bit pointless.
Potential issues with the deck: Like I said, energy could be an issue with the deck. I'm not looking forward to the games where I prize all the energy of a single type lol.
Dragapult also eats Horseas because currently there's no 70HP version of the baby seahorse. Dragapult is already annoying to face with evo decks, but the lack of a 70HP baby starter is gonna be rough.
Monkidori. Oh man I have no clue how I'm gonna deal with this monkey. Please please please give me suggestions lol.
Conclusion: I know Tsareena isn't a meta or even good deck by far, but I'm hoping Kingdra can at least help it out a bit. If there's anything you guys want to add or advise me on do say so, I'm open to see how specific tech cards or ratios can be changed. I'm really hoping that when Kingdra ex comes out, this deck won't flop haha.

2024.05.29 12:37 Stalky44 Squad Ultimate makes Lantern Constructs spawn slower

It punishes you for ulting, and there's nothing more deflating than rocking up to a group of enemies and wasting half your ultimate for the construct to spawn in entirely in slow motion just so you can play the objective. Lantern shields should either instantly break upon activating Ultimate (making it feel more impactful), or at least not affect the construct spawning speed :(
How are we feeling about the Green Lantern enemies this season in general?

2024.05.29 12:36 LingonberryVivid2648 Let`s help make the riot MMO :)

~Leauge of legends MMO~
The new MMO is something we all hope will be the game of our lifetime, and why don`t we help?
Iā€™m going to throw out points that I think would be a good addition to the new riot MMO. I want you to come with insights and points that can be added or changed and why. Because if you want the perfect MMO why not help create it?

Graphics: Graphics sets the entire mood of the game and it`s probably going to be animated in a colourful way. But one thing that is needed is to be able to really immerse yourself at beautiful sceneries. This would mean, if it is too colourful and animated, you wouldn`t get the feeling of awe. The same feeling you get when you watched AVATAR 1 and saw that beautiful forest for the first time. A general direction I would say is Overwatch mixed with Elden ring, however that is possible.

Quests: Quest is something people will spend A LOT of time on in the game and of course it must be a good experience. So, first make quest to an abundance. With more quest than needed you can get a feeling of free will and do however you want to reach your goal. Also makes for a great experience when you create more characters with the increased replayability. Types of Quest? Maybe obvious but there needs to be more variety than ā€œslayā€, ā€œgo fetchā€ and ā€œtalk to this guyā€ quests. Like quest-chains that have trivia lore about the world that you mightā€™ve missed out on if you didn`t do the quest.

Characters: With quests follows characters inside the MMO. Quite simple really, just follow ā€œArcaneā€ on how to write likeable characters that you can relate to no matter gender (I say gender because in this day and age it has been quite a hard time to write likeable female leads, excluding arcane)

Voice-Actors: Please, hire good VA. It really makes a difference. (And let them see the scene they are doing the VA for and not just a text w/o context)

Ui: The UI shouldnā€™t be cluttered with a lot of things that makes it nigh impossible for people to search for something (Iā€™m not a fan of BDO for example, way too much). If people need to look up a special event, have somewhere they can go to instead of making a new tab for people to open and look at. Noone likes a UI that is cluttered.

Zones: Nothing much to say here, you got a winning concept with bilgewater etc.

Expansions: Just make a new zone like freljord? Easy peasy.

Really hard mysteries: I was surprised when I played SoD how fast people that get together can solve mysteries. Just for fun make insanely hard mysteries for people to crack around the world. Lost ark also had a lot of fun mysteries, like somewhere time gated. These will be a great way as well for people to use their time on something else than waiting for the next raid. What do you get from it? Silly items.

Items that are silly but fun: Items that are silly are a great addition to any mmo, it has a certain collectors value and a style value. Like wandering around the world solving a mystery just so you can transform into a Baron Nashor with no real benefits. Why? Because it`s cool.

Easter eggs: Didnā€™t we all love the time in league where if you had sunglasses Leona would deal -1 dmg? Yes, we did.

Secret areas: Have secret areas that are of no use but when you find them, man they are pretty.

Mini games: Having mini games inside your MMO is always something that is good for people to waste time on. In the MMO you could have ā€œlegends of runeterraā€ inside the MMO and make like Witcher did with GWENT, collect cards by exploring various places in the world. These mini games should not strive to be gear dependent, that would mean a level 1 could beat a level 80. Like in rock paper scissor. Why not play tft inside the mmo in some way?

Farming professions ā€“ How do you make it so it isn`t tedious? First, don`t have just one item you can farm for even though you are low level. If you only can farm weeds as herbalist then make it to weeds, wheat and grain. The level should scale with how cool plants you can pick up, from weeds to NIGHTSONG or maybe PHOENIX ASHES. The things you create from the professions can have a seemingly useless active but sometimes beneficial like swim speed or a rocket jump. These professions shouldn`t be needed but optional. You can earn money, make potions that help QoL when leveling, get titles etc.

Mounts: Yes! Flying? NO! It is a neat idea to have people travel using their feet, but it gets tedious no matter how you look at it. Somewhere along the way a running mount is needed. But it also shouldnā€™t be too easy, in the form of flying mounts, that ruins the experience too much when exploring. The drakes can be down to earth and be on a strike against flying (for the environment or something)

Raids: Now the big point comes. I think raids should have an entry-level of casual gameplay, but it needs to be able to scale. So how do you scale a raid? Make new abilities for bosses? Well then you haven`t experience the true raid until you get to that point. Make them have more hp? Tedious to have bullet sponges and running the same raid over and over just to deal less and less damage. But some hints that might prove useful: Co-op, like the gnomeregang ā€œElectrocutioner 600ā€, when people need to move in stacks of 3 to avoid getting OS. It promotes a more active gameplay for the community. Lost ark has some of the hardest bosses Iā€™ve done and that is because it requires mechanics and not only dps-checks. Too hard raids will result in people shutting out people who isn`t geared enough and contributes why raids shouldn`t be bullet sponges. Difficulty of a raid can also be hidden behind how impactful a raid is like aesthetics. If it is a beautiful and good-looking raid the difficulty gets more neglected. You should also have to go to the raid, no teleporting. MUSIC sets a great tone in big fights as well. Just have a easy option to disable it if someone would want that. But from experience, big boss + good music + good landscape = Good fight (Like crab soulsā€™ game, mediocre bosses maybe but the music slaps). DO NOT make raids too long, people will use addons to filter out other people because they do not want to spend another 3 hours stuck in the same raid. Difficulty should have prio over length.

Time gating: YES, if you wouldn`t have a time gate, on raids for example, people would just sit there all day and not touch grass (in game ofc)

Dungeons: shouldnā€™t be the better exp alternative. It becomes a black market for power leveling and stops people from exploring the world. Why to do them? Gear. Trinkets that are useless but fun. Special prof materials can be inside that can be used for niche things.

Dedicated loot: Just make it so you can swap between the other people you did the instance with. It`s not fun to do a raid endless number of times just because you rolled lower than other people. The raid loot shouldn`t lock the best equipment behind the hardest raids like they`ve done in WoW where like 20% of people only managed to get it only for it to be useless next patch.

Loot: To get that gacha feeling when loot drops, why not make it splurge out on the ground, the feeling when you see that orange beacon on the ground after defeating a boss is much more satisfying than a box popping up
Addons are toxic - Have in ToS no addons that show other players stats will be available, or donā€™t have any at all. If something is needed, then make it a feature like Valornant did with the crosshair. The focus shifts towards getting the most dps and people get left out. Perfect example is SoD with the raids not being too hard, yet people only looked for others who have completed it before. Which in turn creates a toxic environment. This routes back to not making raids too long, too long raids will promote the use of addons to make the experience easier.

Guilds: Why should you have a guild? Only to join a random guild to reap the benefits that they bring. No. Perks need to be applicable for active gameplay and not passive. With passive perks comes passive people in the guild = dead guild. Perks that would benefit guild runs in a non-competitive way (that would mean not x% atk bonus) or teleport to your guild mate once a day is things that would be good to have. Guild events to collect tokens for guild members to use and get cool transmogs. It is not needed to be in a guild then, but it sure makes it more comfortable.

Being alone ā€“ Being alone isnā€™t inherently a bad thing. To have other people running around is more than enough for people to feel included. It is not the same as playing a solo-player game whereas you don`t have anyone around you and you get the feeling of loneliness. To be able to mind your own and playing by yourself should be a criteria for the game. People shouldn`t HAVE to engage with others, the engaging can be encouraged and will then result in a natural community. Dungeons is not a must for people to do but it sure helps to have that epic sword instead of a rusty nail when leveling. Dungeons shouldnā€™t be the better EXP alternative for leveling either, again SoD. People live inside dungeons and comes out at max level.

Classes: The foundation is already set with league - bruiser, tank, marksman, support. Why make it hard? Just slap a new name on it and you are set. How should they be designed? Like rock ā€“ paper ā€“ scissor. Some excel in one thing and others at another thing. Don`t take away the uniqueness of a class by making everyone be able to do anything.

Abilities: Lost ark. Mega ability. Cool. Dream scenario would be to have Last Epochs ability system but tone it down a little and a few more abilities. To be able to change how your ability looks and feels is great and promotes people to test new things. ā€œThere is no such thing as a useless spellā€ ā€“ Merlin, spells that are seemingly useless are a great addition actually, like slow fall for mages in WoW. Not many uses but when it is needed itā€™s great.

Pvp: The Player versus Player or ā€œPVPā€ needs to be good. There will be a lot of people not only from other mmo`s to come to this game but also from other games like LoL (No way). And without a good pvp system a lot of potential will be lost. Now how do you make a good pvp system? Skillshots. Skillshots makes one feel the difference between someone who is bad and someone who is good. When to use spells, where to use them and aim properly. Counters are also a great addition for being able to react fast enough and get rewarded for it. I would think of overwatch x smite x battlerite counters should make for a fun pvp.

Help with contributing points that hasnā€™t been mentioned and/or points that needs improvement. Sorry for bad English and let`s give the devs some help so we can play the MMO faster.
P.S Thanks for other streamers insights and contribution in the making of this post :*

2024.05.29 12:34 alexisagojo Tab S8 Ultra Charging Speed

Is it just me, or did I just notice that the charging speed is back to normal (which is good) after the update to One UI 6.1? Back when it was on One UI 6, I noticed somewhat slow charging even when using a 25-watt charger with fast charging turned on. What I did was that I recently purchased a 45-watt charger, which made it charge at 2.0 but still wasn't charging fast. Now, after a couple of weeks of using One UI 6.1, the charging speed is much better, just like before, and works well even with a 25-watt charger. I now think that I shouldn't have bought the 45-watt charger.
Just to be clear, this is just based on pure observation.

2024.05.29 12:34 LingonberryVivid2648 Let`s help the devs make the perfect MMO

2024.05.29 11:59 Killerabbet Is there a way to make this script more efficient? Constantly exceeding maximum execution time on my sorting script

I have a sales spreadsheet that has a sheet for inactive, active, and sold inventory. These are on sheets "Inactive" & "Active", while the sold sheets are split between 12 sheets, one for each month. I use a script to automatically move rows from Inactive > Active and Active > Sold which is activated manually via a button added to the UI. The script is actively working, but is incredibly slow. It takes roughly 40 seconds for each row to fully copy to the next sheet, and since on average I'm moving over 15-20 rows I'm running into the "Exceeded maximum execution time" issue every time.
Edit while making this post: I just discovered that the Inactive > Active function appears to be broken. It runs but does not move anything during it's runtime, despite there being rows with text in column B. Advice on how to fix this would also be appreciated.
I had a old script I had to replace when I completely revised my sales spreadsheet, the old one was faster (roughly 8-10 seconds per row). I'm not sure if this excessively slow speed is caused by the new script being less optimal or the spreadsheet having an massive increase in conditional formatting checks and formulas. Here's screenshots of my spreadsheet as well as the script I am currently using:
Inactive sheet: Where inventory is documented when we obtain it. When we list the inventory, we fill in the "List Date" column (column B). The script checks column B, and if it contains text it copies the entire row to the "Active" sheet, and deletes the row on the inactive sheet after it copies.
https://preview.redd.it/0dmcnp1p2c3d1.png?width=1910&format=png&auto=webp&s=ad1723f4d0dfe39fd7a66ca5585413164cd03ce2
Active sheet: Script should be checking column C for dates, and if there is a date there it copies the entire row to the corresponding month sheet, and deletes the row on the active sheet after it copies.
\"Active\" sheet
Sold sheet: This example is the "May" sheet. This is the final stop for any row, but the formulas need to still be present in the event I have to adjust values (like if a item gets returned).
\"May\" sold sheet
Column D is specified for any series we want to keep track of, conditional formatting is used to automatically change the cells text and background color based on the text present. A separate data sheet checks column D on the Active and months sheets to compile tons of useful sales data. I'm only sharing this incase it could be a cause for the massive slowdown (the active sheet has just over 9000 rows, and the average month sheet has around 450-500).
The current script:
function onOpen() { var ui = SpreadsheetApp.getUi(); ui.createMenu('Move Data') .addItem('Inactive > Active', 'moveRowsFromInactiveToActive') .addItem('Active > Sold', 'copyRowsByMonth') .addToUi(); } function copyRowsByMonth() { var ss = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet(); var sourceSheet = ss.getSheetByName("Active"); // Change to your source sheet name var lastRow = sourceSheet.getLastRow(); var lastColumn = sourceSheet.getLastColumn(); for (var i = 4; i <= lastRow; i++) { var dateValue = sourceSheet.getRange("C" + i).getValue(); if (dateValue instanceof Date) { var month = Utilities.formatDate(dateValue, Session.getScriptTimeZone(), "MMMM"); // Get month name from date var targetSheet = ss.getSheetByName(month); if (!targetSheet) { targetSheet = ss.insertSheet(month); } // Insert a new row at the top of the target sheet (after the header) targetSheet.insertRowBefore(4); var targetRow = 4; for (var j = 1; j <= lastColumn; j++) { var sourceCell = sourceSheet.getRange(i, j); var targetCell = targetSheet.getRange(targetRow, j); var sourceValue = sourceCell.getValue(); var sourceFormula = sourceCell.getFormula(); if (sourceFormula !== "") { targetCell.setFormula(sourceFormula); } else { targetCell.setValue(sourceValue); } } // Delete the row from the source sheet sourceSheet.deleteRow(i); // Since a row was deleted, adjust the loop counter and last row reference i--; lastRow--; } } } function moveRowsFromInactiveToActive() { var ss = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet(); var sourceSheet = ss.getSheetByName("Inactive"); var targetSheet = ss.getSheetByName("Active"); var lastRow = sourceSheet.getLastRow(); var lastColumn = sourceSheet.getLastColumn(); for (var i = 4; i <= lastRow; i++) { var cellValue = sourceSheet.getRange("B" + i).getValue(); if (cellValue !== "") { // Insert a new row at the top of the target sheet (after the header) targetSheet.insertRowBefore(4); var targetRow = 4; for (var j = 1; j <= lastColumn; j++) { var sourceCell = sourceSheet.getRange(i, j); var targetCell = targetSheet.getRange(targetRow, j); var sourceValue = sourceCell.getValue(); var sourceFormula = sourceCell.getFormula(); if (sourceFormula !== "") { targetCell.setFormula(sourceFormula); } else { targetCell.setValue(sourceValue); } } // Delete the row from the source sheet sourceSheet.deleteRow(i); // Since a row was deleted, adjust the loop counter and last row reference i--; lastRow--; } } }
(thanks to Cyanide_Lake1 for helping touch up this script to be functional after my initial post regarding this spreadsheet, even if it ended up not working out perfectly in the end)
I want to clarify I can't read or write code in any serious capacity. I know what I need and how to explain it, but I do not have the knowledge base required to make proper sense of the code itself. So I don't' know if this script can just be touched up or if it would be better to make an entirely new one that functions differently. Here's what I need in my simpleton terms:
Inactive > Active:
If column B4:4 on "Inactive" contains any text, create a new row on the "Active" sheet between row 3 and 4, then paste the row from "Inactive" to that new row on "Active", then delete the row on "Inactive", then repeat this process until no rows on B4:4 on "Inactive" contain text.
Active > Sold:
If column B4:4 on "Active" contains a date, create a new row on the month sheet matching the month of that date between row 3 and 4, then paste the row from "Active" to that new row on the corresponding month sheet, then delete the row on "Active", then repeat this process until no rows on B4:4 on "Active" contain dates and/or text.
These two functions need to be separate and not run at the same time, and be manually activated by a UI button.
Both these formulas need to paste the rows with whatever formulas are present. In this case, column O and Q contain formulas, while column P contains a dropdown menu.
Column O formula:
=IF(ISDATE(C4), I4 - N4 - H4 - J4 - K4 - L4 - M4, "N/A")
Column Q formula:
=IF(AND(INDIRECT("A"&ROW())<>"", INDIRECT("B"&ROW())<>"", INDIRECT("C"&ROW())<>""), "SOLD", IF(AND(INDIRECT("A"&ROW())<>"", INDIRECT("B"&ROW())<>""), "ACTIVE", IF(INDIRECT("A"&ROW())<>"", "INACTIVE", "")))
This is what I need. If anyone would be willing to help me, however that may be, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not apposed to paying someone to make a working script for me either if this is a more complicated task than I may think. At the moment, I'm simply sorting the date column so all the rows that need to move are in a row, and the manually copy and pasting them over to the correct sheet.
Thank you!

2024.05.29 11:42 JihaaaWallstreet Help needed: Metal for Rowing!

Hello folks, I want a super niche playlist just for indoor rowing. Genre must be metal or at least folk-rock/rock. I want to feel like I'm on a Viking ship were all sing along... šŸ¤˜šŸ»
Here are three sample songs with a short explanation why they are in this playlist. Please use them as reference to suggest more songs! My goal is 30mins playlist time (I can't row longer šŸ¤£)
  1. Heidevolk - Yngwaz' zonen (This one fits most. Speed, topic everything is perfect. I feel like I'm rowing a drakkar)
  2. Amon amarth - Put your back into the oath ( topic fits perfect, mostly to fast but has at least some slow sequences and it's overall very motivating.
  3. Storm Seeker - row row row (clear continues rhythm even it's to fast.. and the topic is a match ...
Most important is a clear drum setting the beat.
Please help me finish my playlist šŸ¤˜šŸ»

2024.05.29 11:39 oxyscotty Legit Download Speeds vs File Hosters/Torrents

I'm not sure in what universe it's okay for cracked games to download at more Mb/s than full price games can pull kb/s off servers for official platforms. I mean what the actual fuck? And that's only slightly an exaggeration. For whatever reason any time I've ever tried updating Diablo IV on battlenet, I get anywhere from 10kb-60kb. Downloading cracked games I'll pull anywhere from 80-120 Mb/s. I've tried everything, and it's not like it can't do it, overwatch updates around 40-50mb/s and very occasionally I see D4 peak at like 20. But even then that's HALF of what "free" hosting and torrents are somehow miraculously able to manage.
Battlenet is far from the only perpetrator of slow servers. Steam, ubisoft, EA, gamepass, you name it, none are able to reach the same speeds I get without paying a single dime nor giving a single ad view. I'm not living in BFE. I live in US west. I have 1gb/s internet, which equates to about 800mb/s to my PC when speedtesting. Obviously, I'm not expecting any server to be able to give me that kind of speed, but I do expect that when I pay for something it should at the very least perform as good if not better than something I'm not paying for. If they can afford it, then microsoft, a multitrillion dollar company should. Valve is no spring chicken here either, they've been doing this forever and are worth a good few billion, so I don't see why they can't have the infrastructure to do what, for example, gofile can do.
I know they're capable of higher speeds, LTT was hitting pretty crazy numbers through their direct connection to steam servers, but JFC do I really need to be hooked into the mf mainframe just to get some competitive download speeds?
Maybe I'm just completely off the mark here, maybe there's something I'm missing and this is an unfair criticism and you can't in good faith compare free file hosters and torrents to Microsoft's and steam's servers, maybe I'm one of the few people in the world who even have this issue and everyone else gets blazing speeds from official distribution platforms when compared to the alternatives. But at the end of the day, regardless of what technicalities and excuses there are, the reality is I spend thousands of dollars on games over my lifetime and rarely ever get to see any real advantage or perks to it aside from getting to play online only and matchmaking games. There's no benefit in support, no benefit to actually getting to keep the game you paid for, no benefit to having your games in one place, no benefit in having 20 different distribution platforms installed, no benefit when modding, no benefit to keeping all your data out of careless hands...

and no god damn benefit to download and update your games faster.

maybe that 20kb/s D4 update triggered me way too much, sure. Maybe it's not really that big of a deal, sure. But damn, just like, cmon guys? what are we doing here?

2024.05.29 11:38 pastimeparadise1 I have been running facebook ads for a month, I was making sales every single day, Then one day boom it stopped. 25 days in a row then tumbleweeds. What happened?

I have been constantly messing with my site trying to speed it up. I was playing with plugins too so I am super worried I broke something.
Facebook suggested I increase my spend and will get x more sales per day so I increased it. This caused the ad to have to be approved again and then nothing. It's like tumble weeds. I have also noticed a massive amount of compeition being advertised to me since.
So i feel like it's one of the following:
  1. My facebook ads has to start learning again as it restarted. (facebook tends to take time to learn how to sell my products)
  2. I broke somethign on the site and it's so slow or bad people aren't converting. (I made one sale since it stopped so I know the site still works)
  3. My competition on facebook is outspending me and I got lucky for 25 days in a row. but my view count seems pretty consistent.
  4. my heavily discounted products are running low this would have happened anyway.
  5. I made 1 huge sale right before it stopped, so some part of me is like facebook knows about the sale and is not trying hard since it's trying to hit a certain target.
Could anyone take a look at my site and tell me what is going on?
I am based in Australia so if you are Aussie it helps since it might be slow for people overseas. It runs super quick for me, no more than half second load time, but I am always on super fast internet.

any feedback is welcome. I am pulling my hair out trying to speed my site up with no luck. My bounce rate is around 46%
