I usually dont play older games but when i saw dragons age inquisition at second and charles i bought it pretty easily. then i realized i would need to go through some hoops to get it working on my pc but long story short i got my external cd drive working and now my issue is with the redeem code. it says its already in use even though i have the dvds for the game and i was wondering if there was any way around it, like if theres some sort of service EA does where i can tell them the code and they can put me in contact with the prev owner and i can get them to deactivate the code or something.
if anyone has any sugestions on how to fix this i would really appreciate it. i hope im not cooked tho lol.

i downloaded new GPU drivers, restarted my PC and re-installed my game, it’s still grayed out. why. why is it grayed out, there’s no option to enable hardware accelerated GPU scheduling in the settings. Not to mention cyberpunk runs at like 18 FPS and nothing has fixed it. i’m actually in a dream rn what the hell can i do?

Apologies, may be long but I’ll try to summarise mostly at the top, and then provide full excerpts of emails for detail if needed.
I own a leasehold flat and our management company is in the process of replacing our door entry system for buzzing people into the building. No consultation with flat owners was done on what the replacement system should be. The cost is being covered by insurers as the current system has been damaged by someone.
Currently the system works by the person/visitor punching in a flat number on the outside panel, this rings a phone in our flat (and also has a video screen) and we can let them in with a button. The system they’re planning to replace it with removes the phone unit in our flat and requires a phone number to be called by the system, and then we buzz the person in through an app on our phone.
Personally I think this is an unacceptable replacement due to the requirement of having a phone number for the system to call to simply be able to answer our doors.
When I asked what if someone doesn’t have a phone/doesn’t want to give their number to a company for the purpose of opening their door to guests, I was essentially told the advice is to just “buy one”. They also completely misunderstood my question of “What if I lose my phone?” - just telling me to let them know and they can remove my phone number from the system. Clearly not understanding that then I’d be without the ability to answer the door for visitors/post workers and such.
Maybe I’m being unreasonable (if you think I am please do say), but I don’t think this is a tenable solution for a replacement system.
I’m wondering if there is any legal basis to resist the new system on? It’s materially different (in my opinion at least. And I appreciate that from an outside perspective maybe it is not) from what was/currently is in place when I purchased my flat, and has potential issues that simply shouldn’t exist for a building entry system.
Happy to provide any more detail, and mildly resigned to also be told that I can’t do anything and just have to accept it.
Initial email from the management company
“Whilst this system is being bespokely fabricated we now need some details from each resident in each flat. This will be the mobile phone number that you wish to receive door entry calls from to allow access. This number will normally be the owner or tenants living there. You can have more than one mobile attached to the system. The system will call the primary number and if not answered it will then call the secondary number. You do not have to use more than one number.
When you answer the door as you would any call you will be able to see the person asking for access and speak to them on your phone. If you wish to allow access you press the hash key on your phone and this releases the door. We will give much more detail nearer the time but this is a summery for now.
All those using the system will need to download the app on the device/s they will have registered to the system to give access.”
My questions to them and their responses
“As there is to be no unit in the flats:

• What is the case for people with no phones? – Unfortunately there will be no access to the system, The system can be used by a landline or mobile if a person has neither we have previously advised to get a cheap pay as you go mobile and leave in the flat. This has worked on previous blocks.
  
• What is the case for people that simply do not wish to provide their personal number to an unknown company to be able to answer their door? - It is very unusual for someone not to provide a number to be attached to the system, it doesn’t have to be there personal number it could be again a sim card just for the door entry/intercom system.
  
• For people that do agree to have their number shared, what happens if their phone is lost? – if someone’s phone is lost we ask them to get in contact with us so the number can be deleted from the system”
  

Hey everyone! I work remotely with a full PC setup, but I'm looking for a Laptop to also use when travelling or just around the house as a different option.
It needs to be powerful enough to handle games (e.g League/Valorant/WoW/Diablo) to a very high quality as a lot of my work involves gaming video content where recording is key!
Ideally if possible I'd like something that would have a decent shelf life, as my last MSI gaming laptop started to drop significantly in performance after around 2 years to the point where I could no longer use it for work purposes.
Budget around £1,000 ($1200) but fairly flexible.

My download speed is about 400 Mbps but my upload vary between .50 - 1Mbps. I just had my internet provider send a tech to my house and run me a new Ethernet cord since the one I had was junk and limiting my speeds to pretty much nothing. When the tech was at my house he did a speed test on my router directly and on my pc and both came back the same with 400mbps download and 50mbps upload it's been a week and my upload has tanked but download has stayed the same. When I play games I only have 2 devices active on my internet and that's my ps5 which I use to watch TV or movies and my pc which I use to game both are wired connections. Please help before I call the ISP and give them an earfull.

I've had this issue for a while now but it seems to just keep getting worse, my internet download speed is 300-350mbps on the speed checker website on my pc but when I try to download anything its downloading at like 1-10mbps I've tried resetting multiple times and nothing really happens.
Any help is much appreciated....

Hello everyone, so lately i've been trying to fix this issue but i realized i have no idea what im doing. 2 Days ago i bought the greatest game of all time (Peggle) on the Xbox website through my pc and it went through. However i am only able to download it from my xbox one and play it there, even though i couldve sworn at one point i saw two versions of the game, pc and console, yet I cant get it here. When i check the game page on the xbox website, it says i own it and i can "install to". But when i try to download it through the xbox app it doesnt even give me the option to buy the game, and only shows me that i can play it if i had game pass as always. Am i simply just not able to play it on my pc? My EA account is linked by the way, and if i check for peggle in there it gives me the option to buy it, again.
Sorry if i lack any information, I'm not sure what else to add on this post.

On PC I could map the bottom triggers on an Elite conteoller to anything I want but since D4 on console don’t support keyboard/mouse that’s not possible.
I have no need to have mouse support on console and understand nothing is in the works. I still feel keyboard key support is a different topic which should be priority as far as console QoL goes.
Can’t be that much work neither compared to full keyboard/mouse support (I would rather sit at the PC)
In addition to enabling full functionality for these controllers I could also hit enter and chat ingame.
Any negatives I am missing here / not understanding?

I have just came have to a random pop up I have never seen before called “WeatherZero” I assume it’s a virus i pressed “no” to download and it’s said it has been installed but I can’t find any files to delete need someone’s help with this if anyone could help would be really appreciated, I am new to using a pc I use it for gaming and have probably downloaded a virus from a dodgey mod site.

Hello everyone, been getting into clone hero and I purchased an adapter to use my GH5 Wii controller for it. It works flawlessly for my PC, however, when I try to hook it up on my S21+, I run into problems. The first notable problem being the buttons are just mapped wierd. The start button claims to be mapped to L, and select to L2, okay NBD rebind, but now I need to fix the yellow, blue, and orange key. It seems that Clone Hero is skipping assigning a control to the yellow key entirely thus I can't bind anything to it. The whammy also has wierd stuff going on but that's not really a huge problem. I know the button works as this guitar works on Clone Hero for PC, and I also tested it separately with a different controller mapping android app and it registers the yellow button inputs. Would love some advice or tips if anyone here has ever encountered this problem.

Today's Takeaway is by Myles Udland, Head of News. ‌ One of the most notable bears on Wall Street finally flipped this week. Morgan Stanley's Mike Wilson raised his price target for the S&P 500 over the next 12 months to 5,400 from 4,500, a 20% jump amid a market Wilson sees defined by "higher than normal uncertainty." Josh Schafer has more on Wilson's call here. ‌ And in his report, Wilson included a chart that serves as a note of caution to stock market bulls looking for lower rates to power the next leg of this rally. ‌ "[There] is a wide array of return outcomes across history following the start of the cutting cycle," Wilson wrote. ‌ "In many ways, this analysis encapsulates our outlook well — a balanced risk/reward profile in the average/base line view, but the potential for a wide array of scenarios to play out. Interest rate cuts have a complicated history with the stock market The S&P 500's average annual return is around 10%, making the 12-month returns that follow rate cuts, on average, well below this bogey. 45M saw the midnight screening of TPM in NZ 1999.
Online now there's been a debate around the PT hate vs ST. I was there and the reception was different vs now along with environment online.
Biggest difference is social media didn't exist as such (unless you count forums).
So in 1999 what were we doing Star Wars related? Well our group was playing Rebellion and Rogue Leader (N64 game). Somewhat recently Shadows of the Empire. They lined up for tickets I managed to score some midnight screening ones.
We didn't hate TPM. The disappointment was very real though.
The 90s were kinda rough n NZ. Our group was a mixture of welfare kids through to reasonably well off kids. We consumed a lot of what is now legends material. Games and books mostly. Comics were a bit harder to aquire in my part of NZ.
Internet was a lot less common back then no social media. A computer was around $2000 nzd in the 90s rent was cheap say $40-60 per week circa 1996-1999. I don't remember the conversion rate to usd minimum wage was around $6-8.
Buying a PC though was 6-12 months rent. I didn't own one in 1999 first used the internet 1996 to give you an idea.
I watched TPM disappointment was real but I didn't go online and slag it off. I wasn't online. There was also sobe really bad Star Wars media by tgen so it was far from the worst. That applies to Disney Star Wars now as well.
None of our group hated TPM anyway and we formed our own opinions. And those opinions were mostly self contained. Idk if there was online hate in 1999 but if there was it was easy to miss. Even if you had a PC an the net it as dial up. And you would gave to go Join a forum. 1999 was also the first year I saw a text message.
Fast forward a few years. 2001 was the first year I joined a forum. It was a D&D one but they gad another section for Star Wars RPG. My first discussions around Star Wars online were about the d20 and older D6 material. The D6 material was massively influential in early Legends material after Heir to the Empire. No one got to offended if you didn't like TPM but I don't recall people constantly dumping on it. Not saying it didn't happen but it was easy enough to miss.
Interdiction cruisers in Rebels. They are from legends and they got it from said D6 RPG materials.
Fast forward a few more ears and RotS has been released. Generally people online seemed to like that one (cf RoS). Not claiming it was universally loved but a common attitude seemed to be the PT was a bit meh except for Pt III. Once again social media didn't really exist or was in its infancy around 2005/6.
It was also a golden age for Star Wars games 2002-2008 although you could also claim 1997-2010 ymmv of course. Even if the movies were not loved there was plenty of other media to distract you. Once again there wasn't a lot of hate directed at the movies at the time. Not everyone loved them of course but the negativity was more disappointment, wish they were better, at least pt III was good.
And then social media blew up. I don't remember Twitter before 2012 and I think I used youtube for the first time 2010 late adopter.
So that's the key difference between then and now IME. Social media didn't exist, less people were online. Those that were more segregated into their own communities on forums. Most people didn't use forums or even knew what they were.
I did see my 1st meme in 1996 or 97 comparing a politician to the Nazis. Godwins law 1997.
So I'm Gen X turning into my parents lol. Never used a dating site haven't been single since 2000 and barely single since 1996. No idea where to even start if I was.
But the rise of social media has resulted in a lot of anger and confusion and flow on effects I have noticed. Another simple example is dating and expectations due to tinder and porn. Younger female friends or relatives putting pressure on themselves and guys completely clueless. We just had to deal with things like playboy. I'll admit to reading them but stopped aged 16 when one realized that girl you like probably doesn't like them.
Modern world is better in some ways worse in others compared with the 90s.

I root my old lenovo tab 2 a7-30hc it was first time rooting i installed custom recovery i was trying to install xposed framework but installed wrong xposed framework and my device won't boot so i booted to twrp recovery wiped my os i it will but my device won't boot i booted again recovery i see it says no os installed i used sd card and downloaded stock rom and recovery flashed stock recovery because my twrp won't flash my stock rom when i try to apply update from sd card it doesn't mount sd card & i don't have pc

Hiya, wanting to pick your brains for some advice on my pc - I've been having a lot of system instability, with Windows crashing multiple times a day including at boot and during games, requiring hard restart using the reset button.
I ran memtest86+ and consistently get errors in the same test (test 7), even after switching my ram to different slots and using a different set of ram borrowed from a working PC
My guess now is that it must be CPU or mobo related, and given how rare CPU issues are it's likely the motherboard that needs replacing. Any thoughts?

Hello. Has anyone else had any issues with the monsters inc realm and specifically the eyes on the prize quest. I have gotten up to the part where I have to get the keycards for the doors and gave them to Mike and it’s telling me to speak to him again but I can’t talk to him anymore or sully and can’t press any other keys like inventory or map. I’ve tried closing the game multiple times. I’ve tried clearing my inventory before I go into the realm again. I’ve untracked the quest and tracked it again and even deleted the game and downloaded it again but nothing has worked. The game works perfectly fine except when I enter the realm and I get a cut scene of the doors coming down and then I can only move but not do anything.
Please help I want silly and Mike on my valley :(

Hey everyone,
I've been on this League journey for almost a decade now, all on the same account. It's been my go-to escape, my competitive outlet, and a big part of my life. But a few days ago, my trusty laptop decided to call it quits with a Windows issue, leading me down an unexpected path.
After a week of repairs, I fired up League again, only to be greeted by an endless loading screen post-login. Thinking it might be a download glitch, I went through multiple reinstalls, even tried Riot's Hextech Repair Tool to no avail. Then, a friend suggested I log in from his PC, but the same loading hiccup persisted. And when we swapped accounts, his opened fine on my laptop. That's when it hit me: it wasn't my laptop, it was my account.
Enter the support ticket saga. Initially, they were responsive, but every solution offered fixated on software issues, despite my repeated insistence that it was an account problem. Frustrated and grasping at straws, I attempted to log into TFT from my phone, only to be met with a message that knocked the wind out of me: my account was permanently suspended. Has anyone else encountered a similar situation? Any advice or insights would be appreciated. Thanks for listening to my tale.

Have lots of experience setting up RD accounts with Stremio/Torrentio except been having issues with a new one.
For whatever reason, Torrentio will not find any streams. I've tried using the API key with different accounts and still doesn't work. RD account is confirmed working as I've downloaded magnet files through the account.
Can also see the files in the "other" section of Stremio to confirm it's connecting to the RD account though video links will not show up.
When I do the steps of the "is Torrentio down?" video, see this error in the url request: {"streams":[],"cacheMaxAge":60,"staleRevalidate":14400,"staleError":604800}
If anyone has some experience dealing with this and can provide insight that would be greatly appreciated.

So I pre-ordered the phantom beginning of last month from the actual heatblur site, and I'm wondering if the product key they gave will work through steam or if I'm gonna have to download the standalone and figure out what to do with my other modules.

A few days ago my PC started taking several minutes to boot, so I decided to investigate the issue.
I ran an antivirus, repaired the system files with SFC and everything looked normal. So I ran a benchmark and saw that the write/random write speeds were a bit off (I have a 512gb Gammix s50 lite) :
Sequential Read: 29778 Random Read: 703 Sequential Write: 23379 Random Write: 1445
I then decided to use the Defragment and Optimize drives function on windows, and update the SSD's firmware. So I downloaded it from the manufacturer's website and while I was updating it I got a Blue Screen, and a minute later it booted straight into BIOS. Now it doesn't recognize it as a bootable device anymore, only my secondary SATA SSD). I tried restarting it a few times, and even removed it and placed it back again, but still nothing.
Any idea on what to do? I'm not too experienced in the area and scared to mess it up even more.
