TL;DR I can't use my phone screen and Windows Phone Link won't allow me to access my phone via my laptop unless I confirm using my phone screen. Will this also be an issue if I use Samsung Dex, and if so, are the apps I can use that don't have that issue?
I have a S23FE that I love. Windows Phone Link can be super useful, but I have a major issue with it:
Every time I want to use it, I need to confirm using my phone that it's me on my computer trying to remote access it. This is the biggest annoyance for me, because right now my phone screen has been broken to the point of that I can't use it for 4 days. I'd keep it open in the background all the time, but last I checked (admittedly a while ago) it's an enormous battery drain and also heats up the phone a lot.
The earliest I can get it fixed is tomorrow and I haven't been able contact people in any other way than through the Google Messages WebApp, and it'd be nice if I could have made/ answered some calls, checked notifications etc. You know, phone stuff.
If something like this were to happen in the future and DeX were already set up, would I have the same issue? If that is the case, do y'all know of any options that wouldn't require 2 factor each and every time I use a known device to access my phone?

Hello, I've been using spotify for years now but unfortunately spotifiy does not have many of my favorite Japanese artists music. I have an android, samsung to be exact. I create the account, confirmed my email, signed up for free 1 month trial to test it out and now I'm unable to get into the account. My password was not inccorect, I set 3 security questions just for funsies I guess cause I was never asked them to get into the account. Tried to reset the password the the ID is not active. Trying to get into apple support without being able to log in is rotting my brain. How can I fix this issue so I can delete this account before they take my money. Literally 4 hours and I'm having the worse experience.

I have been considering an all SSD array post for a while and I have searched out discussions on this. Many people say not do do it and to put them in a ZFS pool. I have considered it for faster performance but also for power savings. Some SSDs use less power than hard disks when active and their sleep performance uses much less power. I currently have 10 disks in my array with dual parity and I believe my HDDs use about 5 watts when spun down so that is 50 watts consumption and if they all have to spin up, they could consume 100 watts. Compare that some SSDs which use 2.5 watts when active and much less when asleep.

In addition, if the data is large static media files, wouldn't trim become less of an issue as files are written and they stay put for the long haul?
I am curious from those who are using an all SSD array, if you have parity enabled and you are using higher performance SSDs, what write speeds are you seeing to the array? I know that once the cache is filled on lower end SSDs, that there is a significant speed drop but it seems that the Crucial MX500 and Samsung Evo 870 series have faster sustained write speeds.

So, I was in a state of paranoia thinking that my phone had malware and I simply decided to enable the security features of Samsung Knox like blockchain, etc. However, when I was doing this, the phone just restarted and I couldn't download anything from the Play Store for about 5 minutes. Afterwards, I downloaded 3 different antivirus apps and none of them detected anything unusual. Now, I don't know if it's my OCD taking over or if my phone is infected in some way

My battery has been going down slightly faster since update Oneui 6.1 and I have some apps on "unrestricted" mode and now I forgot which ones were actually on "unrestricted" by default. Can someone check these apps for their default battery settings? Child Support and paternity fraud plz help
Where do I begin. For the purpose of this post, I will use fictious names and locations as it is ongoing, and out of respect (even though she doesn't deserve any)
My name is Daniel. I am 35 years old, and i am dying. I have a disease called systemic sclerosis. I am currently on a supplemental disability plan, until I get approved for SSI (social Security). Until then, my income is about 4K a month. I own a home but after child support and bills, NOT INCLUDING gas, food, haircuts, medical appointments, and or emergencies like my fridge just broke. (which i never go out) I am left with $260 that has to last me a month. I also have three children who I have to take care of half the time per the 50/50 agreement.
Recently, I found out my oldest, (who is 13) is not biologically mine. I decided to look into it as I had concerns for a while since my divorce as her cheating was very rampant. I also had caught her in 2017 with a man in my house, which is what prompted the divorce. But FL being a no fault state, doesn't matter. I also had to pay child support since the beginning and WHILE LEGALLY Married since 2010 because she had applied for financial support like food stamps and government assistance then. I know what your thinking. Why didnt you stop it then? I tried. You cant take yourself off child support. I also never grew up with a father and wanted that two-parent household. I don't run from responsibilities, like he did. Its how I was raised. Anyways, I married her, tried to do the right thing, she lied numerous times. she never worked, and I worked 90 plus hours a week. To look into her cheating, was impossible at the time as I was never home. and to busy providing for my family.
fast forward to now. My disease started to become worse and over three years; it didn't reveal itself until last year fully to actually pinpoint what this was. for instance, I had in 2019 pain behind my eyes and horrible headaches to the point that I thought I had MS. following year, I had trouble swallowing for 3 months. next year itching in the skin for three months. But prior, I had visited various doctors to see what was going on, each time a flare up then would last 3 to four months, which again, when you don't understand what's going on, you need to take time off to go see doctors, run tests, but this illness was and still is very elusive. with that being said I had 5 jobs since its first flare up till last year to continue to support my family and to pay child support. as of last year. I'm having trouble moving on certain days, breathing and acid reflux and muscle atrophy. (disease progression) especially when this is going on, it worsens everything as this is flared up. I was working under the table to try and make ends meet as I was paying child support still. I should add that the child support with 50/50 custody was $1029 for three kids cause I was making six figures at the time of divorce in 2018. Last year however, I couldn't work anymore, and filed for disability.
In june of last year, I had asked Susan, to get the children school supplies, (which she never does) as I was still paying at the time $1029 in child support. She said she didnt have the money despite now making 70k and her new BF living with her and is working whom she cheated on me with. With me working under the table, I bought them clothes, haircuts, school supplies (ive done every year) but then, I noticed she went on vacation to puerto rico and got a giant leg tattoo. At the time, I had already known what I had, and I asked myself why the heck am I doing this? So i turned to an attorney to get it modified. Again, this is June 20th to be exact of last year. My lawyer, stated that this was only going to be a 90 day turn around for the temporary modification then we will go for the final.
Since then, I have gone for a DNA test. I had to know. I am dying. I wanted to know. And you may judge me for this. but i have filed for disablement for paternity, meaning I am removing myself from the birth certificate. However, in the state of Florida, a mother can deny this and so can the courts. before you judge me, I have many reasons none of which have to do with him other then his mental disability (Aspergers) This illness, as days go by takes more and more from me. As previously aforementioned, I am left with 250 a month. I cannot go get a drs appointment pay for groceries or start planning my funeral which I will start making payments on soon. He also eats three times the amount that we all collectively do (Not his fault) but I have paid enough both mentally and financially. He also has trouble communicating as my suspicions is, that he was born of incest (gross) which is why I was 'chosen' to be his father at the time. Before you ask how do you know? Lets just say she had an uncle 'leave' during that time.
anyways, in February, I had the temporary modification hearing for child support and needless to say it was a circus. My doctor was subpoenaed to be there by my attorneys request to better my argument, even though I felt we didn't need her, she advised me to have my doctor there. Well, he attorney attacked my doctor and me for an hour and 40 mins when the court case was only supposed to go for an hour. He said "you saw another dr Max so and so and they said it was all in your head" (again I had flare ups on a illness that hadnt revealed itself correctly since last year). So there argument was that I was doctor seeking to avoid child support. After I have paid for 13 years never missing a payment. Her lawyer also targeted people who are living with me. Now I'll admit that I said they were friends which is true but how else can I pay for my attorney? Cant work, cant sell drugs, cant rob a bank? So they want to take there income into consideration. BS. She also hired a private investigator to watch me exercise outside and stated that because I can exercise, I can work..... Ok. Where's the 23 hours of the rest of the day watching me in pain. or when do you have me on video of a flare up from this terminal illness? (that's what I wanted to say)
Although I was granted the temporary modification, of $209, I left the court thinking wow, this woman can cheat, commit paternity fraud, not give two craps about our children, live with her mom in a section 8 home, and here I am doing whatever I can and I've done nothing wrong but be lied to and this is how my government, my country treats me? No wonder men my age dont have children this is insane. The paternity issue wasn't even brought up they said that this isnt the place for this and that the disestablishment will be another trial for those wondering. My lawyer only spoke for 5 mins. Asking her about her income cause thats the only thing that has changed since 2018 since she didnt work at the time. Other than that, it was an attack on me and my disease arguing my ability to work.
after leaving that, I didnt eat for 96 hours. I have since been crying nonstop. Compilating suicide. I am already heart broken about my son not being mine. Sure does a terminal illness make me said, no question everyday. But a life wasted on another? Cause I decided to be a man and take up responsibility? thats soul crushing. And to say "well, there is a big chance the courts will deny your request' thats BS. If i go to prison because I was accused of a robbery for 13 years, and DNA evidence proves I wasnt there, I get out of jail and can sue. This is no different. If anything, DNA evidence needs to be more of a factor in family law than in almost every court of law if not as equally important. My bad for not investigating her infidelity not only in the beginning but also in the end. How about not being a POS. sorry rant over

Her mom and dad smoke in the section 8 house, kids reek of cigarette smoke and marijuana, all day. they dont take showers there, they were hand me down clothes, they live in the garage shared with there mother, that isn't air conditioned. and he makes only a few thousand less than I do a month. She stated in court that she pays her mom $500 in rent which is BS, she is only doing that now so that she makes herself look bad. I know she is doing pills, like oxy and what not. Id love to prove it.
after the temp hearing, in april, I had to go to court to contest my drivers license suspension as I hadn't paid child support since, august of last year. again, there is no way, I can pay my bills, feed my children, go to the doctor, pay my lawyer to end all of this BS and pay the current child support amount. and again, this final hearing is still not set yet. So they intercepted my tax return, even though the temporary modification was approved, the final is what gets it retro backed to the date of filing, so they took, a much needed 5500 tax return from me. I needed that cause one of the issues I failed to mention as well, hurricane Ian has destroyed my home and I'm still going through that process too. not to mention I am on payment plans with Mayo clinic and other various medical facilities. (no one cares) but the interest that accrues, makes it impossible to catch up. also, Florida department of rev is overstepping I feel, and asking for medical info to be sent to them as well as updated doctors letters to be sent saying that I am still on disability.
a few weeks ago, I got an email from my lawyer having a withdrawal notice from her lawyer. in the withdrawal, he stated that he cannot represent her, due to something she may have withheld or lied about (more or less wasn't worded like that but you can tell). In feb court appearance they never produced the PI report, or videos, they had medical info they shouldn't have had, and they had very outlandish comments about my lifestyle. So my lawyer filed immediately a motion to compel. meaning, we want to see everything you have on my client. this was filed almost immediately after court appearance on feb 20th. Susan has failed to provide any updated info requested by my attorney so on june 18th, we have that upcoming hearing.
in the mean time, I have sent my lawyer, a very heavily requested topics, such as "where did they get my medical records, if those were lies, what are the consequences if any"? What did exercising have to do with any of this despite various drs saying he has to or he will get worse.
I know wat you must be thinking, what about your oldest, how can you do that to him. Please listen. This woman has taken everything from me. And i mean everything but the roof over my head. I am seeing a therapist to help with the suicidal thoughts. it isnt enough. the reality of it is, I chose to be loyal and it bit me in the butt. This disease will rob me of everything, my teeth will fall out ( I had 5 cavities last time I went to the dentist) I haven't had a cavity since I was 30 and even then I was suspicious. And I am brushing 5 time s a day to save them. My skin is tightening, and my arms and muscles are wasting. I will literally be left with nothing. My organs will also start to harden, and I will have to start getting around the clock care.
I forgot to mention they (child support) recently, sent a letter to SSI (social security) saying that they would garnish my SSI before I even got it, totaling $1029. the incorrect amount. I sent this to my lawyer and she is looking into it. But it shows that child support will overstep and breaks every law or freedom you may think you have. I DO take care of my children. if they need a haircut i do it, school supplies clothes, anything I do it. And I do it, cause she wont. What I want to leave you with, is that woman can be dead beats too. Child support was designed to have woman off of government subsidized programs like section 8 food stamps and what not. Also to make the man pay for their children man or woman I should say, I know this. I am not running from my obligation. I just want Susan, to have to pay for what's she's done to me and the kids.

I have a Samsung smart TV model no. UN58CU7000F that I've owned with no issues for about 5 months. Out of nowhere one day it stops getting internet connection and attempting to connect it to my wifi makes the entire network stop working for all of my devices.
I've tried resetting the TV network settings, the modem, etc. The wifi works fine with all of my devices up until I try to connect the smart TV, and then the whole network stops working for every device I own. I can reset my modem and have internet again so long as I don't connect the TV.
On the TV I've been able to get it to connect to the wifi but still have no internet. I've tried restarting, resetting network settings, changing DNS settings, nothing works. After changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8., it says it has internet connection but doesn't, and it kicks all my other devices off the wifi.
I'm totally at a loss here because it has worked fine alongside all of my devices for months now and then stopped out of nowhere about two weeks ago. I've troubleshooted with my internet provider and couldn't find any problems on their end, it literally works fine until I try to connect the TV and then nothing across the board. The only other things I have connected are my phone, a PC and an xbox. My internet is xfinity 150 mbps if it helps. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So about 12 months ago i did everything to make my house as smart as i could that was worth doing. With google home.
One issue i keep having is devices like google mini will just disconnect from the network and wont re connected even after a reboot, i have to reboot the router and the mini to restore it, but geez its annoying having one device not connected i can be in another room with its own mini and the one that isn't working goes of its head again.
But my reason for this post is i bought about 18 Lenovo smart bulbs for the whole house, all top of the line colour changing one's, Now one has blown its connected to wifi but no lights on. Tried everything to reset it but failed. One bulb isn't the end of the world. But when i tried to buy a new one i couldn't find any one that sold them. So i called Lenovo tech support and they said yes they no longer make smart home products, so i would be unable to buy another one of any kind. Very helpful Lenovo, they did say if i sent it back i would get a refund but that does not help me. And i also had the issue of my Samsung fold 5 would not open the lenovo app, would just say there is a bug in the software and closing it. I think that because their old shitty app hasn't been updated in years that it now doesn't support new devices. So i had to get my old shitty tablet just to remove the device from the app. But then when i tried the app on the tablet it kept saying server is busy try again later, took me about 10 goes before i could get in once, just to remove that one light. And i can no longer control the app or settings on my new phone.
So i bought a Tp link bulb to replace it and a cool little ptz camera they also made and both claim to work with google home.
After unlinking the lenovo app to remove just one device i added the new TP link light bulb and it works ok now but the colour temps are different, its bright white is different to the Lenovo light next to it. So I've got different colour lights now next to each other, so that's a pain, or start replacing them all with TP link bulbs.
The camera connects to the google home app ok but when you go to view the camera or do anything with it, you just get a notification that you cannot view or control the camera in google home, has to be a separate software or has to be display screen like chromecast or a nest device. Is it really that hard for google to show me whats going on within the app? All the other cameras work on with google like the doorbell camera why cant it show another camera.

TLDR: Lenovo have stopped making smart products so tough luck if you need something replaced, and TP link stuff doesn't work well with google home.

I keep 2 sims on my phone. One physical and another esim that I use overseas. I was on vacation and was using the esim with my US based sim turned off for the last few weeks.
Just returned to the US and while at the airport went into sim manager settings to disable the foreign sim and turn on T-Mobile, and anytime I would attempt to enable T-Mobile, I would get a "Samsung dialer needs to update first" error. Except I have no data to do a forced update because it won't let me turn my sim card on!
If it wasn't for some free airport wifi, I would have had no way to enable T-Mobile and call an Uber. Who's smart idea at Samsung was it that an update is forced before a sim card can be enabled??

This is my first Samsung smartphone the F54. The phone is awesome but with one major flaw that made me regret my purchase. Whenever the weather is hot and humid, I'd sweat and the phone would wake up in my pocket, put in random codes, and lock me out. I was fed up last week when it locked me out for 2 hours. The Accidental Touch Protection with the proximity sensor is a comedy. It would kick in AFTER I pull out the phone from my pocket, not inside. Never. I have used Motos, and Zenfones before. These phones would completely and reliably disable the touchscreen whenever in my pocket. Never failed.
I had two options: Disabling Lift to wake AND double tap to wake. - But this takes away a whole lot of convenience.
OR put the phone in my pocket, screen facing out. - It chipped my tempered glass when getting down from my bike.
This is how I solved the problem. I downloaded Tasker. And set it to turn off the screen when it detects 5 steps AND the phone is oriented upside down.
7 days. Works like magic.. No false wakeup in 7 days.

My new Samsung range has a minimum heat setting of 175 degrees F. I know that 150 is the ideal temp for holding a brisket between smoking and eating. Is 175 too high? What would be the effect of holing it at that temp for 8-10 hours?
Alternately, the oven's breead-proofing setting is 95 degrees. Too low for the brisket?

I'll preface by saying my experience is limited to building 2 personal pc's, tinkering with fan/clock speeds, and basic folder sharing between Windows pc's at home. I've never used dockerfiles or linux so far.
The last few weeks I've been trying to read forums and posts, and watch as many guides and explanations as possible to help get my first understandings of home servers. I've reached a point where I am tipping into overwhelmed with possibilities (probably overthinking), and struggling with how I proceed.
I think I'm mostly struggling with how it all connects and how/what software I need to make it easily remote accessible/a cloud server, so help on this front would be great. Thanks in advance.
First idea: I use my Old PC + new HDD's as the servecloud hardware. (Cheaper and ideal in that it uses old parts)
My understanding so far for this is;

1. I reset the Win 10 operating system on my Old PC
2. Remove Win bloatware
3. Set new HDD's to Raid 5 and format
4. Install Plex media server
5. Install Steam with games
6. Install Moonlight/Sunshine for streaming Far Cry 6
7. Install Immich or Photosync with Photoprism for auto photo backups from mobile phones
8. ?Designate folder access for other users on the local network?
9. Tailscale vpn for remote access (never used it before)
10. ...unsure if i need to do anything else

Second idea: Buy a Synology device and add HDD. This acts as media+photo+file servecloud and remains on 24/7. Old PC gets turned on intermittently to act as GUI for Web browsing+PC gaming on TV. (upfront more expensive, possibly easier to first setup)
Below are some parameters of what I'm trying to do/use.
Functions to perform:

1. Connect to tv, other pc’s and mobile devices within local home network for access to personal media (movies, music, photos).
2. Storage of home media, personal documents
3. Access to web browsing on TV for ad-free viewing instead of using direct aps like YouTube (I imagine i need a GUI for this such as Windows 10)
4. Infrequent pc gaming on TV (without using my gaming specific pc to stream from. Far cry 6 on low-ish settings but OK fps).
5. Auto backup/syncing of photos from Mobile phones.
6. Avoid needing to use public cloud services like Google Photos/Apple iCloud/Microsoft Onedrive as file sharing/backup/remote access.
7. Be online and accessible 24/7

Note: I’d welcome any tips to reduce noise and wattage profile.

I had this setup using latercase, maglock, and ohsnap but after a couple weeks of use, I found that eventually the maglock ring adhesive will eventually wear out due to the heat from charging. It is indeed better to just get a case with magsafe built in so the ring doesn't move around or melt off. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on magsafe cases that actually have the correct alignment for the metal ring. I've tried out the cases below and tested it with my magsafe chargers:
Thinborne: the ring is set up too low, hardly can get above 2 or 3W charging.
Latercase w/ maglock: Could get 4-6W charge, but metal ring would lose adhesion.
Mobosi: Honestly it's kind of a surprise. Most reviews have issues with the glass screen protector, but I found that the maglock is in the proper alignment. Added bonus is that other wireless chargers can be used with the case. I'm able to use my samsung and google pixel wireless chargers with no problems. It charges best with these chargers at around 8W with samsung and 6W for google stand 2. The only thing I don't like is the screen protector.
Any rec's on decent cases that have proper magsafe alignment?

I'm struggling to figure out what's causing the following issue and would love your input on how I might rectify it.

Using a certified HDMI 2.1 cable plugged into the eARC (HDMI 3 on the tv) it is connected to a Denon AVR-S760H receiver that supports Atmos etc up to a 7.2 configuration. I am running a 5.1.2 configuration speaker wise. I also have a PS5 plugged into the AVR, also using a 2,1 certified HDMI cable.
The TV has every setting enabled that should result in it passing an Atmos signal to the receiver when one is present. The receiver is fully setup to receive and process an Atmos signal. When I use the PS5 for movies (UHD Blu Ray or streaming) the receiver will correctly decode the audio and when Atmos is available the receiver shows Atmos on the panel and in the app as being received and output along with all the relevant speakers.
However... when I stream with any, and I mean any, app built directly into the TV itself the receiver always only shows a 5.1 PCM signal being received and it uses a Dolby Surround codec with no option to switch to Atmos. The receiver doesn't show any Atmos metadata being received from the TV regardless of the streaming program I use. All the streaming services are the premium paid tiers that should have the best available resolution and audio formats. All of the shows I'm using to test list Dolby Atmos as the audio codec of choice and yet I can't get it to send it as such and the receiver always defaults to just Dolby Surround.
I fully realize the lossy version of Atmos that streaming services use is lackluster at best and I'm much better off using UHD Blu Rays but I'd still like it to work as advertised.
I've thought it could be one of two things:

1. The TV doesn't actually pass Dolby Atmos and actually only sends a 5.1 PCM signal. The Dolby Atmos that it advertises is just a marketing ploy for the crappy built in TV speakers and not what it can send.
   
2. The receiver cannot decode an Atmos signal sent via the eARC HDMI port. I know this to not be true since Denon explicitly says it can not to mention most other receiver manufacturers claim this same feature and it's pretty much table stakes at this point.
   

Any ideas what's going on here? Would switching to an LG tv solve this issue? Would switching to a different receiver solve the problem?

New to Ubiquiti, before I was using a bunch of different gear, and finally decided I wanted single pane of glass management over the network.
My previous setup was: WAN -> Opnsense -> Aruba InstantOn 1930 > All Downstream Devices/Servers/Etc.

• VLAN1 - Default - Cloudflare/Public DNS
• VLAN10 - Docker - Cloudflare/Public DNS
• VLAN20 - Wifi - Cloudflare Public DNS
• VLAN30 - Infrastructure - DNS From PDC01 (10.0.40.10) & DC02 (10.0.40.15)
• VLAN40 - Virtual Servers - DNS From PDC01 (10.0.40.10) & DC02 (10.0.40.15)
• VLAN50 - Lab Servers/Testing - DNS From PDC01 (10.0.40.10) & DC02 (10.0.40.15)

To keep things easy, there are no firewall rules in play yet other than defaults, all subnets can easily talk to one another. Ex: 10.0.0.10 can ping 10.0.50.10
Current Setup:
WAN -> UDM-PRO -> Aruba InstantOn 1930 (from Port 6 on UDM PRO) -> All Downstream Devices/Servers/Etc.
I staged the UDM PRO with my VLANS, did my port forwarding, and then shutdown and swapped it in to take the place of Opnsense. Everything was working fine, with the exception of DNS. I could no longer my resolve my internal AD domain "ad.mydomain.com." I had to set a static entry on the UDM pro for PDC01.ad.mydomain.com so that clients could resolve it. I tested with a new DHCP client in my VLAN30 and it would get the right information (IP of 10.0.30.x, SN: /24, GW: 10.0.30.250, DNS1: 10.0.40.10, DNS2: 10.0.40.15). I would expect for the new DHCP client on my VLAN30 to be able to resolve "pdc01.ad.mydomain.com" but it could not.
I'm not entirely sure how or why the UDM is taking over the DNS, but I've seen some others have similar issues. Is this something I need to be considering: https://durdle.com/2020/12/04/conditional-dns-udm-pro? I don't want to go making all sorts of changes to the device if it's a simple misunderstanding on my part.
I'm sure I've forgotten something along the way, so I'm happy to share whatever other information I can.

EDIT: Figured it out, enabling Ad-Blocking was intercepting my queries and routing them through the local DNS for inspection. Once I disabled, I was able to resolve my local domain's FQDN again. Hope that helps someone.
