Do you guys think this is a scam? There's a recent casting call on Craigslist put out for extras for a feature film in NYC, and pay is between $150-200. I think this is legitimate because while working as an extra I'm used to getting $176 for a day of work, so this range fits that. But I'm leaving it down here for you guys to scan, what do you think?

I have been living in my apartment (a Buzzoto building) since August 2022. I was laid off in November of 2023. I had some freelance work after that to generate income but the project ended by January of 2024. I have been living off of savings while interviewing for jobs. It is unfortunately a very tough market at the moment and I ran out of the money to pay rent by April. I communicated with them immediately and let them know the situation. I am still interviewing but don't have a job offer yet. I filed for unemployment last week (I know, I should have done that a lot earlier) but TBD if I qualify. It can take up to 21 days to get a response. There is a housing assistance program I can get in touch with that I plan to. Today they served me a notice to pay rent by June 22, 2024 and notice of intent to file a lawsuit. They include two numbers to legal assistance for this matter, which I will definitely be getting in touch with tomorrow. I've never had to deal with something like this before. I know I need to contact someone with expertise and I plan on doing so. FWIW, I paid rent on time from August 2022 - March 2024 (18 months to be exact). I don't want to move and don't really have the money to anyways. I don't know how these things play out. If anyone has had experience with this or advice they'd like to share, I would be incredibly grateful.
As an aside, I am also looking for gig work. I am reaching out to places about bartending and have an interview on Wednesday. Just looking for anything to pull cash in. I never really see anything on craigslist gigs and I don't have anything I could use to do uber or grubhub. If you know of a better place to look or any ideas, I'd be grateful for that too.

tl;dr - I don't have a car. My new job starts in two months and is a 45+ minute drive. Besides credit union, what other options for getting an auto loan for a car? How bad are my chances of getting approved? And could I refinance later, after the job starts?

• My current income is low (15 hours a week while I do intensive health work). I just graduated and have 60K in student loans. Because of this high DTI ratio, my CU did not approve me for an auto loan.
  
• My new job (which I have a signed contract for) pays 95K. BUT I cannot get there by bus.
  
• I'm looking at used hybrids for around 15-20K on CarMax and can put down about 5K up front.

Also, assuming I get a loan with pretty bad interest, would I be able to refinance some time after my job started?

This subreddit is being flooded with people looking for tickets and I want to offer some advice from my years of show-going:

• In my opinion, it's way too early to buy secondhand tickets. Scalpers know that anyone trying to buy right now is desperate to see Lamp and is willing to pay a premium for the privilege. You're not gonna find secondhand tickets going for face value at this time. Wait until a few days before the show and prices are bound to drop as scalpers unload their unsold tickets to cover their losses.
  
• As some of you have unfortunately learned, scammers are also taking advantage of desperation. The safest thing to do is to only buy tickets from trustworthy sources. AXS and Ticketmaster, the first-party ticket sellers, run official resale marketplaces. Third-party resellers like StubHub and SeatGeek offer guarantees where they will refund you if your tickets aren't delivered or don't work. Make sure you read their policies before buying, though. Buying directly from someone on Reddit or Craigslist is the riskiest option. If you must do this (I never have), use PayPal and mark your payment as for goods and services. When you do this, the seller pays a fee and your purchase is covered by PayPal Purchase Protection. If the seller isn't okay with this, it's a scam.
  
• Given the band's recent "wait for further news" post, there's a chance that they add more shows or move to larger venues. This is another reason I wouldn't buy secondhand right now.
  
• For the future, if you frequently go to concerts, sign up for your local venues' mailing lists. I find this easier than trying to keep up with the touring schedule of every band I'm into and you sometimes get presale codes, like I did for Lamp.
  

Finally, if you managed to get tickets but end up being unable to go, please just sell them at face value. Don't be a dick and take advantage of your fellow fans.

Hello,
Recently my camera backpack was stolen, and so I am setting up everything again - need some advice on a tele lens. I will be using the R7 for this:

1. The RF 100-400 - Purchased refurbished from Canon for $519 - 10% Canon upgrade discount. The lens is very light weight, and does a great job with fast AF and a great IS (combining the lens IS with the IBIS). Preliminary image quality looks great. Still under return window. Pros: Light weight, Better AF, Much better IS Cons: Non L lens, lower on the Image quality, no weather sealing (?)
   
2. Yesterday I saw a EF 100-400 F4-5.6 L USM (mk1) on Craigslist, and picked up for $480 - I assumed the lens would be superior to the RF 100-400 non L lens. However, I see that the IS and the AF is no where close to what I am getting with the RF lens. Pros: Better image quality, feels more sturdy, Better weather sealing Cons: 15 year old lens, not good IS, 2 lbs heavier
   

I would be primarily using this for some wildlife and birding. I primarily shoot landscapes, so birding/wildlife is of secondary interest to me - so I do not intend to spend a large amount of money on a tele lens. Previously I had the Tamron 150-600 f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2, which was stolen. I was definitely not a fan of the image quality and the focussing on the Tamron lens.
Given these two options, which one would you choose for ~$500? I will either return the RF lens to Canon or sell the EF lens on marketplace. Any advice, suggestions are welcome!

Hey guys, I made a post here about 2 months ago asking for critique on my playing (I play two 3 row bayans). I've been playing for about 5-6 years now, and over the last 3 years or so I dedicated a lot of my time to trying to learn music from the Balkans; Jovica Petkovic, M.T. Krnjevac, and others should be posters on my wall.
Shortly after the post I made, I got a teacher overseas who helped me come to terms with the fact that I need a better instrument. More specifically, a 6 row button accordion. I've spent the last month or so trying to scan the market for something that isn't super expensive and I've been struggling to find results.
Ideally, it would be nice to find a dallape, guerrini or bugari - but again, it's been tricky. My teacher has shown me accordions in his area - they are extremely affordable, but I worry about shipping. The site he sent me is like a local craigslist, and I shipping looks complicated.
I don't know where to look! Liberty bellows had a 6 row available about a month ago for 6000$ I think. Thats out of my price range at the moment; I would love a good quality instrument but also don't know where to find anything I'm looking for online. I feel as though there is a keyword I am not typing in search engines.
Do any of you have advice? Anywhere I should look? Ideally I'd like to get an instrument in June

I have been cycling for several years now and have decided to consider upgrading. I have a 2014 All City Macho Man, which has been great for a first bike; but I have been getting more into road cycling and the steel frame is a bit heavy (not problem when I was just getting started, but now I think something lighter would help). I would not use this bike exclusively for road cycling. My budget is 1,500 - 3,000. I’m looking at buying a road bike, will be my first of my own, but have some experience on my dad (2006ish trek 1500) which I loved and had no issues with. Just trying to find something decent I can put a moderate amount of miles on and I found these two. First is a trek madone 5.2 (I think 2008ish?) It’s listed for 400 and has full ultegra drive train.
