~Opening: Lead writer~
We at Honor Games (based in Pacific standard time (GMT-8) are searching for a competent lead writer to take on the hands-on details of implementing world building and character backstories of the IP we create. As of now, we have 1 project in active development (vultures), 1 project in preproduction (charge!), and 1 project waiting for proper personnel support (Equation of Humanity).
As a writer myself, I’ve come to understand that I’m more interested and able to do the big picture writing and act as a “show runner.” I’m less interested in IMPLEMENTING the nitty gritty details myself. I’D SAY I’M GOOD AT DOING “THE BROAD BRUSH”, and I’d like to find a writing candidate to train into lead writer, and eventually narrative director for the company.
I have a psychology background, and I act as CEO an executive producer for the company and projects in question. I’ve also acted as lead writer and PR lead in the past. I’m specifically searching for narrative candidates who are able to run with an existing direction, stay within the limits of said direction, yet also synthesize concepts into a holistic picture in potentially novel ways.
We’re looking for a passionate and strong minded individual, a person who can articulate their position and work alongside other department leads. They will be able to act as a core leadership member and back up their perspective logically. They will be able to hold their ground, and lead a writing department that has yet to be staffed. They will be able to write and proof public relations posts as needed. They will be able to take notes for meetings they attend. They will be able to do effective research. Other duties as assigned.
~The only hard requirement I have, is that you need to have at least one finished and published work OUT IN THE WORLD.~
~PROJECT OVERVIEWS:~
~Vultures~ is a game that combines the elements of an economic and manufacturing simulator such as Factorio and Production Line. The game takes place in real time, with players put in charge of a manufacturing corporate empire. Players are responsible for buying plants and equipment, hiring labor, and buying and selling raw materials and finished goods.
Vultures aims to satirize corporate culture and the manufacturing process. Vultures will keep players engaged, switching between the two simulations to keep either one from becoming stale too quickly.
~Charge!~ is a first-person shooter (FPS) set in the future where there is peace on earth, and this sport is how most people entertain and advance themselves. All weapons are light based. and players will be able to choose different color classes, each with their own unique set of features.
The game is effectively laser tag with mirrors, prisms, and lenses. It can also be thought of as Portal with light-based puzzles.
To advance the first-person shooter (FPS) genre, by adding novel mechanics and unconventional weapons. Returning to the halcyon days of FPS, focusing on deathmatch and the multiplayer experience.
~Equation of Humanity (EoH)~ Is a concept for a real-time strategy (RTS) game in a science fiction setting. Players will take control of one of two armies, building bases, managing resources, and producing and commanding units in order to destroy other players and AI controlled factions on the battlefield. EoH started out as a mod for another RTS game (Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars) named Tiberium Secrets. The mod aimed to add three new armies, each with unique aesthetics and mechanics that separated them both from existing elements within the base game and from each other. Tiberium Secrets had a partial release to good reception, especially considering how old the base game was at the time. However, the limitations of the base game and its license eventually proved insurmountable, and the mod was canceled before a full release. The ASI faction was finalized and shipped, along with minor but fundamental changes to the original factions.
EoH seeks to pick up where Tiberium Secrets left off. Like its predecessor, EoH has plans for three armies with radically different designs. Using the power of the Unreal Engine, EoH will be free of the constraints of a mod and will be commercially available as a standalone product.
The factions come complete with diverse units, structures, mechanics, and lore. Players will take command of a global government faction intent on ensuring the survival of humanity without concern for red tape or ideologies or an artificial intelligence believing itself to be the next evolution of humanity.
This Game’s aim is to create an aesthetically pleasing, diverse and intriguing play-style for each faction, incorporating inspiration from many other works and real-world subjects. We also strive to recreate and surpass the original draw and impact of “Tiberium Secrets”. Striving to present theories of how the world/ universe works and operates.
Requirements:
This position gives the great chance to not only gain experience in your fields, but to also work together with highly motivated individuals in a team. It is required to give and take constructive criticism and simply push the designs to the limits to give the player the best gaming experience possible. In addition, we are focusing on creating high quality across the board, which means that you'll get great video material to publish on your blogs/websites to showcase your work. You can expect a solid foundation and work done in every area of development, since this is not our first project. The team leader may be a reference for future work relationships.

Required Time:

There are a lot of KPOP music shows, apparently 9 of them exist based on Wikipedia. But most of us only really know or follow the Big 4, Music Bank, Inkigayo, Show!Music Core and M Countdown.
Now my question is do you have a favourite music show?
Personally, I absolutely love M Countdown. Why? Because they are the only one who posts actually good official pictures of the idol’s performances on their show. Inkigayo and Show!Music Core also posts official photos but I am not a fan of the filtering they do especially with Inkigayo. It makes things look very fakey. M Countdown just feels better with a much more raw pictures of the idols not to mention they also take more in terms of quantity as well.
This is also why I absolutely hate Music Bank arguably the biggest of the four and based on my observation gets the best outfits during a comeback promotion. They rarely post official pictures for idols and thats why there aren’t good pictures of 230512 Karina for example solely because it was performed at Music Bank.

I am a portrait photographer, currently located in Bengaluru.
I am currently looking for 3 candidates. 2 male and 1 female, for a free photoshoot as I wish to add an additional product to my marketing portfolio.
I currently live in north-east Bengaluru (around Rammurthynagar) but can travel city round to accomodate. What I am specifically looking for are people who are comfortable with getting social media style photos clicked in casual settings, preferably outdoors.
What you get in return - You get a full fledged photoshoot, and get to keep upto 5 photos of your choice for personal use, at no cost at all.
I have the necessary equipments, which include a professional camera, post processing included in the shoot (Custom post processing available as per your desire), and availability for outdoor shots as well as an indoor portrait studio.
I will be closing this thread on the night of the 26th, which is the following Sunday.

 | Hi all! submitted by Illustrious-Tip3589 to philodendron [link] [comments] There is this Philodendron Caramel Marble mid cutting on FB marketplace that I would love to buy, but I'm really not convinced there is a growth point. The seller received it end of last year with few roots, it's now grown lots of roots, but no obvious growth point yet. Which I guess is in theory fine because it's a slow grower and it was winter, so not that weird that it hasn't grown a new stem yet. However when I saw it in person I couldn't even find a tiny bump or outline of a growth point. I suspect the original seller (who sold it to the current seller) may have accidentally cut off the growth point? Photo 1 = pic from listing Photos 2 and 3 = side views of cutting Photos 4 and 5 = the underside of the petiole with the only possible candidate for a growth point (the pink patch?) but I'm still not convinced. The photos are the same just with different brightness. What do you guys think? Is there a growth point? |

I explained they were for everyone and I was getting them for everyone. I had picked up his shotgun to protect myself while he was typing quite a bit to me (I would have took a photo of I wasn't kicked). I switched the shotgun for my laser. I then told him I dropped his shotgun right near him and he sent that message. I thought I would share this experience to reach out to anyone having a bad day. I'm sorry anything bad is going on, but you cannot take it out on others who are trying to have fun and help. Godspeed Divers. |

I am trying to make some wooden bookends that I can slot stained glass into. We are getting our stairs redone, and our dude was able to cut me a bunch of sets of wood , but he did not have the tool needed to make the slot where the stained glass slides into. I am not explaining this very well, but have attached a photo of 1) an example of a premade bookend (what I want), 2) what I have (oak bases with no slots) and 3) a sample of what it looks like with glass in it (this is not my work- it’s by Kel of Camel City Glass). I am hoping someone here can let me know what type of tool is needed to make that slot cut, and also if there’s a specific name for that type of cut (reasonably confident “slot cut” isn’t it). There is a tool library in my city, and I was thinking about trying to do it myself so knowing the tool I’m after would be great. or if you don’t think somebody with absolutely zero experience could do a straight and nice cut like that, maybe I can find someone local to help me out, and being able to describe what I need in woodworking terms would be helpful. Help! I'm only looking for a few candid shots of a surprise proposal from about 20-30 feet away ideally from a photographer who can stay hidden; I'm not trying to meet up immediately after because I want us to be able to soak in the moment together. Max time commitment would be ~30 minutes but obviously I'm okay with rounding up to an hourly rate.
Location: I've already scoped out the ideal spot: it's a bench on the south east side of Waterfowl Pond in the Botanical Gardens that has a beautiful landscape of the pond in front, rocks and shrubbery on the left, and trees behind. For the photographer, there's some good hiding vantage points on the other side of the pond.
Logistics: The garden should be pretty empty around 10am on a Friday morning. We'll be coming from breakfast a few blocks away so the timing is imperfect, but I can sneak away to the restroom and communicate via text before we head out from the restaurant.
Expertise: I'm not looking for the the most amazing photographer ever nor am I looking for someone who can touch up the photos. Seriously, if I just get like 10-15 photos of the moment from a good non-iPhone camera, I will be over the moon. The pics are really for sentimentality more than anything.

I've been on the hunt for a true tea scent. To me, that scent is the one of freshly steeped tea leaves, the whiff you get when you open a tin of high quality dried loose leaf - like pu'er or longjing.
In that sense, I was often disappointed with depictions of tea from western brands due to the presence of a strong citrus/acidic note from bergamot/lemon. The complete absence of any bitter and woody notes made it completely incongruent to my perception of 'tea'.
Anyway to cut to the chase the winner is.....
Modern Bath Art Royal Da Hong Pao Top notes: Saffron, Lavender, Spices, Kumquat
Middle notes: Golden Phoenix Oolong Tea, Rose, Jasmine, Ambroxan, Iris
Base notes: Vetiver, Black Tea, Cashmere Wood, Birch Wood
WOW! I've smelt absolutely everything else that has been mentioned in the tea category, including everything under:
It's a photo-realistic dry-down of black (or red) tea leaves, given body by the ambroxan note so it doesn't come off too harsh on the nose. The rose/iris/jasmine aren't outwardly present, but lend an air of 'fragrance' that tricks you into thinking the tea itself is slightly floral. All supported by a bitter, woody base.
I personally don't get any of the top notes except for an inkling of spices? However that might just be because my nose can't detect them out of the blend.
The one critique I do have of this brand is that all of it's scents end up smelling primarily like sandalwood. The tea is still detectable but it's a woody scent first and foremost by the end of 2-3 hours.
Other scents from this brand that are particularly tea forward to me include (if anyone is interested to see a writeup of all 12 samples I ordered let me know hahaha):

- all the popular matcha fragrances (sunday, j-scent, un été etc.) (all too sweet)
- all of chasing scents (did not smell like tea at all to me, found some of the other notes overpowered what might've been tea)
- other chinese/taiwanese brands such as one day pu'er and oolong, and pan seven aged tea (too herbal)

I am a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Candidate at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). I am currently completing my dissertation project which is focused on understanding the availability of mental health resources for law enforcement officers in the US to better improve mental health outcomes. One of my advisers on this project has collaborated with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) to help recruit police officers for this study and I am involved in other projects with the IACP to support officer wellness which I will be presenting at the IACP conference in Boston this October. The goal of this dissertation project is to help protect and serve the officers who protect and serve the community every day. At this time, I am about 20 participants away from reaching my required sample to graduate in Summer 2024.
