Graham wore sturdy nomad boots to go to the top of the mountain.
There was a tower on top of the mountain, the mountain right next to a Bodeland.
John Graham had climbed that mountain to go to that a tower to learn from what the Bodeland populace called "The Wizard."
Well, wizard is probably an adjective at most, he was actually a hermit monk, that the Cardinal at the Bodeland Abbey has appointed to receive mailed messages from the Papal states.
Graham went up to the hermit monk to learn texts to help him master air, one of the four classical elements of Empedocles.
Air is the most common element of magic for Boudican use, it helps them swing weapons better and move faster, basic wants of any man.
Graham had to read and practice in order to effectively get a grasp of a bit of the element, air, and each time you improve there is always room for growth.
Graham had heard rumors that there are Boudican earls, barons, lords, and knights who could create tornadoes at will.
But for now, he would contemplate that later, he had to meet his old friend, John Stewart, in the forest.
After studying the texts on air, Graham rendezvoused with Stewart.
Graham found Stewart in the forest practicing with his sword swings.
When Stewart saw Graham coming.
"Heh, so it that's time." Said Stewart. "Don't worry, I'll protect.."
Graham interrupts him.
"If you try anything funny, I will cut off your head." Said Graham. "You are acting all different now, you used to be quite and bookish, and now you enjoy insulting Ehou norimaki by saying his head looks like a cupcake."
"First off, in this land, it is called trolling." Replied Stewart. "Second, after surviving battle as a Boudican squire, my social anxiety is now gone, I feal good about myself now, after all we are praised heroes by the entire village."
"Don't let it get to your head." Said Graham. "Remember humility is a virtue."
"Sigh." replied Stewart. "Now, I believe I have a guard mission to get to."
"Well, it is not just my sister, but her friends as well." Said Graham.
"What, no fair." Protested Stewart. "You said, you would-."
"I never said alone." Said Graham, with the biggest grin.
"You little rascal." Said Stewart, with a pouty face.
"What are old friends for." Said Graham. "Well, good luck, I am going to walk around and explore Bodeland."
Meanwhile at the Norimaki household:
The alarm on Hana's clock went off.
Hana yawned; she then felt the side of her large bed.
She clenched it for a solid second, then she got up, washed, then got dressed.
She smelt a pleasant smell, from the kitchen.
"What is cooking?" she wondered.
She went into the kitchen and found her son Ehou cooking.
She was surprised, he had cooked a breakfast for both of them.
He had cooked pancakes, eggs, and bacon, along with toast.
She had never taught him to cook, at least not a breakfast like this.
"Ehou." She said, with a look of surprise and worry on her face.
https://preview.redd.it/9wtg258lsl1d1.png?width=599&format=png&auto=webp&s=9ee833591bebfc3d74e796c7d716915ae4635c5d
"Morning Mom." Said Ehou, roasting a few more pieces of bacon.
"Why are you up so early?" asked Hana. "You used to sleep in on non-school days."
"Well, to cook breakfast!" replied Ehou. "Don't worry, I used a cookbook."
He then looked at the clock.
"Is this because of your nightmares?" asked Hana. "I heard you went to the doctors on your own without my permission- and..."
"Don't worry, I just bought sleeping pills." Replied Ehou. "Don't worry, I checked the labels, nothing bad will happen."
Ehou then looked at the clock.
"Oh, sorry Mom, I have to go." Said Ehou. "Training."
Ehou put a pancake in his mouth and held a toast with an egg and bacon on top.
"Wait, Ehou." Said Hana.
"Yah, Mom." Mumbled Ehou, munching a pancake.
Hana looked worried, she knew something may be wrong, but she didn't know.
"Um, Ehou." She spoke.
"Yah." Replied Ehou, again.
Hana gave a weak smile.
"Be-be safe." She spoke.
"Alright, see you later, Mom." Said Ehou.
Hana sat down and ate slowly, she remembered how when Ehou was much younger, he was easier to read.
"He is grown, he is not a baby anymore." Hana thought to herself.
Hana took another bite.
"Oh, this is good." She thought. She then frowned. "But he is growing up too fast though, half or more of me, misses when he was baby, and with..."
Hana eyed her bedroom, looking at the other half of her bed, she felt that morning.
Hana stopped thinking.
She realized she just wasted time thinking.
She then cleaned up and got ready for work.
Before opening the door.
She eyed her bed, again, she then closed her eyes, took a deep breath.
Then opened the door and left.
Meanwhile, Ehou had regrouped with William.
"Ok, Ehou, today we will go north." Said William.
"North!?" replied Ehou with huge surprise.
William smirked.
"Time to meet our master, a knight of Boudica, Lord Macduff." Said William.
Ehou's eyes lit up.
"Wait, really?" asked Ehou in excitement.
"I don't ever lie, Ehou." Said William.
Ehou punched his fist in the air.
"Ok, then what are waiting for, let's go!" said Ehou.
After a couple minutes, they were riding on the horses, well outside the Leaf, going north.
"So, if I remember correctly, Macduff's been busy because of a honeymoon?" said Ehou.
"Maybe, I don't know, perhaps he wanted to have quite life with his wife." Said William. "At least for a little while."
They rode for a couple of minutes.
"You know what I wondered; it is common knowledge that I have squire partner?" said William. "But I am even more surprised that your mother does not ask me about you, or anything."
Ehou paused for a second.
"I just tell my mother, I am just training with you, because we will be on the same ninja team eventually." Said Ehou. "Whether she knows I'm a squire or not, she has never really brought it up, so..."
"I think she realizes it will look suspicious if she tells you the "Evils" or whatever of a Boudican." Replied William.
"Huh, you may be right?" said Ehou. "She probably really wishes to not tell me of what my father was truly like."
Ehou had a frown upon his face.
"If you want to at least try to find out about your father, without asking." Said William. "Pay attention, the devil is in the details."
Ehou put his chin in his hand on thought for a second.
"Devil in the details." Said Ehou to himself.
"If you're lucky, you could find a clue to your father." Said William. "Most preferably a symbol of a Boudican clan, a surcoat."
Ehou looked up.
"A surcoat." Muttered Ehou. "If it's a chicken, I'd prefer to stay as I am now."
"What's so wrong about a chicken?" asked William.
Ehou was dumbfounded.
"You serious?" said Ehou in disbelief.
"I mean a chicken is many things, but a coward, no.," said William. "Chickens represent courage, community, and nurturing, as well as versatility, resourcefulness, and hard work, at least in Boudica."
"But a chicken looks stupid as a coat of arms." Replied Ehou.
"I dunno, I've seen Gorman coat of arms with chickens, and they look interesting." Responded William. "Hey, I'm not lying."
Ehou gave a pouty face.
Both boys continue to talk about chickens on their trip.
While all this happened, all the way in the City of Fire, the Daimyo was facing a conundrum.
He called in his chief advisor, John Balliol, about a problem that concerns both parties.
"My lord." Protested John Balliol. "All couples go through disagreements time and time, not every healthy relationship is without it's issues or flaws."
"But it's been months, and they haven't talked with each other." responded the Daimyo.
"Has your daughter requested to cancel the wedding or engagement, or at least thought about it?" asked Balliol.
Daimyo eye lit up at the question.
"Well, no, she just seams mad whenever I bring up Comyn." Said the Daimyo. "Although now that you asked that question, it is weird that if she truly hated him, she would request to cancel the betrothal."
"Exactly, my lord, it is merely a couple's quarrel." Replied Comyn.
"But still, I am the Daimyo, and a father as well." Said the Daimyo. "And I feal their quarrels need to end, they may be adults, but they will always be just children to us."
John Balliol raised an eyebrow.
"What do you suggest my lord?" asked Balliol.
Daimyo then told Balliol what he had in mind.
Meanwhile Tento decided to visit John Comyn.
Comyn's workplace was a lot busier than usual.
It was very crowded; there was a chance he was not in his office.
Perhaps he purposefully made himself busy to not deal with Tento's sister.
"Excuse me?" asked Tento to a guard. "Do you know where Mr. Comyn is?"
The guard wore leather, along with a steal cap, it was clear he was a Boudican.
He turned toward Tento.
The guard responded in a Boudican accent.
"He is in his office, young lord." He responded.
Tento went to Comyn's office.
He heard that John Comyn was talking with another Boudican.
"James Taylor, as I said, I don't think it will be good for her." Said Comyn. "I don't think she should be at the Summer tide festival."
"Oh, come on, my lord." Said James Taylor. "I am the humble young mayor of Bodeland, my newlywed wife as well as the people won't mind, even if she is a heretic, your marriage to her is for the common good, so Boudicans have a place here in the Land of Fire, plus we really want to see what she looks like. We will speak Shinobi if it suits her."
"Well, she has studied some Latin, although I'm not sure how proficient she is?" said John Comyn. "But that is not the main issue, the thing is, we are-."
Tento knocked.
"Come in?" said Comyn, who sounded like he did not wish to discuss any more of what he was discussing.
Tento opened the door.
"It's me?" said Tento.
"Tento, what can I do for you?" asked Comyn. "This is the mayor of Bodeland."
"Pray excuse me, young lord of Fire." Said the Mayor of Bodeland, who then glanced at Comyn. "If you ever change your mind about it, Lord Comyn, we will welcome you and her with open arms."
The mayor then left.
John Comyn had grown a black beard and was wearing his Boudican armor.
To Tento, Comyn's black beard was unnerving.
"I don't like your beard." Said Tento. "It makes you look-like let's say, a bad guy."
Comyn smirked, amused at the comment.
"Ok, I am the bad guy, but anyway why you have come?" asked Comyn.
Tento handed Comyn one of the knight toys.
Tento had an ashamed facial expression.
"I wanted to say." Said Tento, looking down at his feet. "I'm sorry I caused a rift between Asami and you, my father explained the reasons why. I couldn't be a knight and Daimyo at the same time."
Comyn put his fist under his chin.
"Huh, so the Daimyo, has taken my side, eh?" said Comyn.
Comyn picked up the toy and handed it back to Tento.
"This is yours?" said Comyn, smiling weakly. "Whatever happens between me, and your sister is between us, so no need to burden yourself."
At once a servant maid interrupted them.
"Lord Comyn, Princess Asami requests your presence." Said the servant.
Comyn got up from his seat.
"I will be right there." Said Comyn. "Well, I must be off, see yah Tento."
As Comyn was about to leave, Tento hugged him.
"Thanks, Comyn, you'll basically be a brother to me, once you and Asami get married." Said Tento. "And you are being one, right now."
Tento went to the door and left.
John Comyn dropped his expression, so his face became one of annoyance.
He left his workshop.
Meanwhile, the Daimyo and Balliol hid to watch from afar, the bench that Asami sat on.
"Are you sure, we should spy, my lord?" asked Balliol.
"It is best we keep an eye of them, in case things go south." Said the Daimyo. "If they do, I will step in and force them to make up personally."
"Pardon me, my lord." Said Balliol. "I may be wrong; but didn't you tell me that it was Asami that is the most to blame with their feud."
"True, I think she may have overreacted, in Tento's defense." Said the Daimyo. "But still, as for your nephew, he didn't need to act rude and stubborn to Asami about why Tento shouldn't be a knight."
"Your too kind, my lord." said Balliol. "Comyn is awful with children, but you told me yourself that you wouldn't want Tento to be a knight, for you do not wish for your heir to swear loyalty to a foreign enterprise."
"Fair point." Replied the Daimyo. "Shush, here comes Comyn."
John Comyn finally came; he walked up to the bench where Asami was sitting.
Asami looked at him,
"So, you finally came?" she said.
"Well, yes." Replied Comyn.
"I'm ignoring you." Said Asami having her eyes look opposite of him.
Comyn sighed, then sat next to her, silent.
She still ignored him.
The Daimyo sighed as well.
"Aw Crap." He spoke.
https://preview.redd.it/47zryzfusl1d1.png?width=780&format=png&auto=webp&s=54ab736a59ed91528ce15bb6fd6e2d9cc96b000f
Both Asami and John were quiet, much to the annoyance of the Daimyo.
Finally, Comyn spoke.
"Leading him on, would be cruel." Said Comyn.
Asami's face tightened.
"I only speak truth." Said Comyn. "However you are right, I probably should have been more polite to Tento."
"My father and your uncle had told to say that." Said Asami, with a somber.
"Well...," said John Comyn.
Asami eyes started too teary.
"I never saw Tento cry, since-since." Said Asami.
She then sobbed.
Balliol was shocked.
"My lord, would you like my nephew's head on a stake, for making the princess cry?" asked Balliol.
"Oh, heavens no, where in the world would you get that idea?" Asked the Daimyo. "This is what I mean on why my daughter needs a man who listens."
Asami continued to cry.
Comyn then put his arm on Asami's back, in hopes of comforting her.
Asami broke free angerly.
"You know I hate the touching of your armor." She yelled.
Comyn was shocked.
"Idiot." Said Asami. "Wear the comfortable clothes, I got you."
Asami then put her hands on her head and pulled her bright red hair.
"Maybe I'm just being crazy." Said Asami. "Tento has never cried that hard, he only has when our mother passed."
"Now I see why your never remarried, despite the use of extra heirs." Said Balliol. "Am I right my lord, did you not wish to harm your children with a replacement?"
"Well, no, Tento, and Asami's mother, my wife, was a beautiful, graceful and talented woman." Said the Daimyo. "I loved her too much, she was irreplaceable, Asami is her spitting image."
John Comyn stepped up.
"Why are you telling me all this?" asked Comyn.
Asami was visibly surprised.
"Forgive me, I didn't mean to.." said Comyn. "But my lady, don't cry."
Comyn put his hand on her cheek to wipe away dripping tears.
"You don't know what it is like." Said Asami. "I was hurt when my mother died, and then when I saw my brother, Tento, I realized he would be hurting a lot more than I ever was, he won't remember our mother as well as I would. So, I vowed to make sure he never cries like that again."
"Trust me." Replied John Comyn. "I know pain all too well."
John Comyn turned away from Asami and looked over the balcony.
"Perhaps, we have spent a little too much time cooped up in this city." Said Comyn, optimistically. "Asami, how much Latin have you studied."
Asami was even more surprised.
"Well, yes, I haven't practiced in a while but," said Asami.
"Then I will you like to go to the Summertide festival near Bodeland, you will meet splendid Boudican commonfolk." Said John Comyn. "My people, quite friendly to me, and even if you butcher their language, I'm sure they will still be courteous."
"Bodeland?" said Asami with surprise. "A settlement of your people, more Boudicans?"
"This day, the mayor of Bodeland has invited the both of us to honor the people with our presence." Said Comyn. "He would be overjoyed to meet you, my fiancé, but at the end of the day, the choice is yours, do wish to attend?"
Asami gave a shy smile.
"Well, um yes, I would like to go." Said Asami. "With you, of course."
Comyn smiled like a mischievous villain.
"Then we must be off." Said Comyn, dragging Asami by the hand, so they both hurled along.
The Daimyo smiled at Balliol.
"It worked." Told the Daimyo to Balliol.
"That it did, my lord." Replied Balliol.

End Event: Power Theft The event starts players around Mt. Anon. The event starts with an anomaly opening up at mount anon and from ot, Romeo the admin appears and steps out laughing maniacally “it is time, people of aphrodite. Time that I take this islands power for my own!” Romeo then rises up into the air, hovering above the center of mt. Anon.. then 2b rushes up the side of the mountain and slashes Romeo with the virtuous contract, causing him to yell out in pain for a moment before quickly composing himself and fires a blast of lava towards 2b, knocking her off the mountain and onto the ground with a thud. He then fires another blast, attempting to finish off the islanders of aphrodite, but monika forms a shield of code that absorbs the blast before closing it. “Don’t worry about him, we’ll stop him before he can do anything harmful” monika says, and then both cloud and travis run up to the mountain, weapons drawn- and then in sync, they jump up into the air and travis performs quick and powerful slashes with his beam katana, while cloud fires multiple blade beams at Romeo, greatly damaging him and knocking him back down onto the mountain, as they both fall back down sure they’ve beaten him.. and they took that moment to rest, but just then as soon as they let their guards down.. romeo began laughing before getting up and dusting himself off and commanding his army of prismarine colossus to rise up from the water around the island and attack everyone on it. Then saying “Now, back to absorbing this pathetic heart of yours” and forming a small protective shield around himself and firing two guardian beams at the center of the island, glamrock freddy then throws everyone a Fazer blaster to stun the colossi, allowing the rest of them to fire at them while they can’t move. Romeo then attempts to pull the power heart out, causing a small tremor as the power heart is ripped out from the core of the island, then once it’s all the way exposed he begins using the beams to absorb the crystallic energy. once the first set of colossus fall, another one walks up from the water almost immediately, and then monika seeing this, says “it’s no use. They just keep coming..” then she gets an idea, and says “alright, I have an idea. But- it’s a risky one..” “if the powerheart becomes corrupted, then it’s dark energy will drain the energy and power of anything making contact with it..” “but, as the heart is what controls everything on this island. If it gets corrupted, the islands landscape and everything would also become corrupted and sinister.. but it’s the only way” monika hesitates for a moment before manipulating and corrupting the powerheart. as the heart grows darker and begins to crack slightly, the influx of dark energy causes romeos beams to backfire, draining him of all his energy and admin powers and causing him to fall out of the sky, back onto the mountain and sliding down the side of it, hitting various things on his way down before eventually coming to a stop on the ground surrounded by everyone else. Romeo then lets out a weak cough, saying in a weak raspy voice “what.. h-happened?..” and link chimes in saying “you just got defeated by us.. now.” And link draws his sword, ready to finish off romeo.. but before he can, the powerheart lets out a big burst of dark energy, knocking everyone back and leaving a decent sized crater around it.

My wedding was a dumpster fire... literally...
I saw your wedding horror story videos and have one of my own I think a lot of people would get a kick out of. Yes, this entire story is 100% true with no real hyperbole, tall tales, etc. This all actually happened and I have witnesses that will attest to this if asked.
I'd been with my husband for about 2 years, engaged for 1, when we found out I was pregnant. Obvi, we decided to rush the wedding after we had a talk about the surprise and what we wanted to do. Flash forward a little and my original Maid of Honor and I had a falling out because the last time we had been together and gone to the church the wedding was being hosted, she had gotten disrespectful with the elders and asked questions she thought were funny, but were really just rude. The swearing really didn't help matters either. I asked her if she would be able to try to be more respectful of my beliefs and be gentle with the others that would be there. This lead to a fight and the beginning of the end of a 7 year relationship (when we tried to rekindle our relationship later, she said she hoped my son would get unalived by a cop because he is white and no one cared about it. Thank God I cut ties when I did). This was also the beginning of a new friendship between myself and the best man's fiancé (we are still bffs today) when I asked her to take over. Crisis 1 averted.
For the sake of setting some scenes, I worked at a hotel in a podunk town, right off the highway and met with a make up artist that came in for a makeup party gig with housekeeping. We talked and she agreed to work with me and MOH for the wedding. Here comes the beginning of everything going down hill, on fire, in a rickety buggy.
The night before, after the rehearsal dinner, at 11pm the makeup artist gets ahold of me saying she has to cancel because her husband got into a water bottle accident (water bottle is oilfield speak for the giant water trucks they have on site) and was in the hospital. We understood and told her to do what she has to, we can handle things ourselves.
Meanwhile, my husband's uncle was cooking the pig for the reception dinner as it doubled as his wedding gift to us (which we are extremely thankful for btw). It caught on fire. In the parking lot. Of the hotel I was working at, and everyone was staying. Luckily he was able to save it, but I got to hear about it when I got back to work. They printed the security camera image and everything. It was great.
Now it's the morning of the wedding. I realize that I am missing makeup that I need and, living in a map dot myself, needed to drive half an hour away in order to get what we were missing. Thank God for my dad needed to go out that way anyway. He got us breakfast, took us to the store, and we grabbed what we needed and started to take off. The shirt I was wearing, without my knowledge, had popped the button right over my boobs showing God and everybody my goodies and I hadn't realized it until we were on our way to grab the cupcakes and "smash" cake (it was a cheap alternative to a traditional wedding cake and actually save us a TON of money for the "event"[ note for brides on a budget, say event and not wedding to save some extra $]).
We get home and nerves take over, coupled with my already awful morning sickness, leading me to be stuck in the bathroom for a while. I finish up, brush my teeth again for the third time and decide to start getting things around and just get ready at the church. I made a Playlist in order, and wrote down the order for my brother to be able to just press play and not worry about ads or anything. I literally went as far as saying song a-c for while you wait, d for the procession, and e for my enterance with the song titles. This will become a problem apparently.
As MOH and I are getting ready, I start to freak out because the makeup I got is streaky and I can barely get anything to blend how I want it to, so my mom had my dad grab her makeup and bring it down and takes over for us. Her friend, who offered to do pictures for us along with my SIL (and I paid them both for) told my mom to give me fake lashes because it'd make the pictures prettier. I told them I wasn't comfortable with it because it was new and I didn't know if I could handle the glue smell and the glue she uses hurts my eyes as is. Mom basically said to hush and let her do it.
One thing lead to another, and my mother glued my eyes shut. 10 minutes before my wedding was due to start. Even though I had asked for no fake lashes. Hormones kicked in and I started to cry. After about 5 minutes, we are able to get my eyes opened, but still had bits of glue in my lashes that ended up scratching my eyes throughout the wedding. I included a picture where you can see even through the editing how chunky the glue made my lashes and where chunks were pulled out with the glue. My dad came down asking what was taking so long, and my mom snapped at him and told him to go upstairs and wait a second, which made me start to cry again.
I calm myself down rather quickly and get dressed (the dress ended up being too big because the morning sickness had made me lose weight without me realizing it) and we all head upstairs only about 5 minutes or so late. At the doors, I can hear the music playing. It's the wrong songs. My dad, in his usual joking fashion, said "It's not too late to run". I told him I just wanted to get this dumpster fire over with.
Speed up a bit and during the ceremony, the pastor skipped over the marriage cross ceremony (where the newly weds put a cross together as a symbol of our faith in our marriage), and called my husband Durk. Miraculously, we make it through with those being the only things amiss, besides my husband being tired and looking grumpy the entire time (I guess he and Best Man stayed up half the night BSing with his uncle and dad, my FIL, and having a couple drinks).
Now the ceremony is over and we have people heading to the hotel to set up for the reception. Pictures were a cluster, there was yelling, I started to cry again because I just wanted things to be done quickly, and my mom wanted her photographer she had come in take pictures that she promised to pay for. We still haven't gotten any of them from said photographer.
After my parents were done with their part, they took off for the hotel and someone accidentally set some of the mac and cheese on fire, setting off the smoke alarms for the hotel. Can't say I cared too much because it wasn't the recipe I'd given my mom to make that she asked me to send her because I'm a picky eater as it is with my "touch of the tism" coupled with pregnancy making things worse.
Eventually we get there, and things had gotten flip-flopped as to what was going on and when because Mom wanted it to go her way, MIL was trying to stick to the schedule I had made... It was great. Thank God for hubby's "Aunti B" that was able to take charge and be my voice and fix things where as my mom looked at MIL and Aunti B and said "I don't care, she's you're problem now". Honestly wasn't surprising from my mom. So we wait for every one to file in to the room we were supposed to start in, and I have to teach my brother how to press play on my phone for music. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Awesome.
We get the Mother Son dance and the Father Daughter dance, and by then my husband was done with everything so we just had the food blessed and proceeded to the dining area. No newlywed dance for us. Still pretty upset about that.
At this point I'm too upset to eat, but manage to nibble here and there. As things start to come down, Mom's friend (yes eyelash woman) comes up to me upset because I didn't warn her that the hotel had a pool so she didn't bring suits for her girls to swim in while everyone else was prepared. I informed her (and showed her) that on the event page for the wedding I wrote where everything was taking place and that the hotel had a pool they were free to enjoy. The same information everyone else had used before coming. Embarrassed, she left and just had her daughters swim in their underwear and diaper.
At that point, everyone had eaten, we did the cake cutting, cake smash "competition" (hubby and I each had a jar people woukd put money into as a bid to who will get the cake to the face. Hubby lost, but we ended up turning it into a little game anyway. Pictures included) and a lot of the ceremonial stuff was over so I started cleaning up (condition of being able to use the hotel for free for the event as an employee) and everyone started pitching in.
The ceremony was at 3pm, reception around 4pm. We had everything cleaned up by 6:30pm, 7pm at the latest. Everyone that was staying in the hotel hung out for a bit, and my MIL and SIL (bless them) attempted to get the rest of the eyelash glue out of my eyes and managed to get a bit out with only one piece left before I had to stop. I got chewed out about how things went and how bad my parents looked with everything by my mom (OFC) and I decided to say screw it, packed up, and left for home with hubby, MOH and BM. If you thought that was the end of it, you're mistaken.
The next day, after my amazing MOH got the last of the glue out of my eye, we saw everyone off, and we were to take off for our honeymoon (a Civil War town because there was quite a bit of fun there when I went, and Hubby hadn't been, and it was cheap). I convinced my dad to let us take the SUV because I had a bad feeling about my car. Thank God I did because despite the "new" engine, the car died on the highway not even 10 miles from home when I took it to work later on.
Anyway, we make it to the hotel that had amazing reviews online to discover stains everywhere on the bed and stuff (ew), the pool was atrocious, and the water in the shower smelled like chemicals and started to burn my husband's face. So we checked out saying we had an emergency back home and had to leave. I called a nearby hotel in my brand I worked for and managed to get a room that is usually about $170 a night or so, for $60 a night. Thank God for them.
The rest of the honeymoon went on well with almost no morning sickness, and no other issues. The only bout of morning sickness (which reiterates my desire to know why it's called that when it can happen anytime of day) happened when my husband was being sweet and shared some of his food with me he knew I generally liked. The baby decided "I don't like that", sending me to hug a trash can a little while after lunch. In the middle of the section of (Civil War Town). By the (civil war history specific) house. In the middle of afternoon traffic.
The family ahead of us glared and started saying something about drunk people in the day 🙄 and my husband started laughing at the irony of it all. He took off to find me napkins to clean up and a good Samaritan stopped to ask if I was ok. I told him "I'm fine, just pregnant" and they chuckled then left. I managed to get cleaned up when hubby came back with the napkins and we continued on our way.
For those wondering, we now have 2 healthy boys, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and have been happily married for 5 years in August. We still laugh about my eyes getting glued shut on our anniversary with our friends and how my wedding was a prime example of Murphy's Law. If it can go wrong, it will go wrong.

2024.05.13 00:12 Trash_Tia A dead boy has been hunting me down my whole life. On my 18th birthday, I finally understand why.

I've always been bound to death.
On my eighth birthday, a shadow strode into my house and shot me and my family dead. I remember it vividly, every detail, every angle, etched and stained and carved into my memory.
I sat very still with my knees to my chest, my gaze glued to my siblings.
Lily and PJ looked like they were sleeping, and I could almost believe it.
I didn't look at the shadow.
From the comfort of my knees, I waited for my brother to lift his head.
But his body was so limp, so still, every part of him faltering. My sister’s head was nestled in his shoulder, thick beads of red running down her face.
They're just sleeping.
I could tell myself they were— as long as I didn't look at the splatter of scarlet staining the back of the couch and pooling at their feet.
BANG.
Mom’s body dropped onto the ground.
I lunged forwards, slamming my hands over my ears.
BANG.
PJ’s head slumped forwards, a teasing smile still frozen on his lips.
BANG.
Lily gently tipped into PJ, like she was going to sleep.
Before she closed her eyes, Mom told me to run.
I can't remember how long I stayed under the shattered remnants of Mom’s favorite table. The shadow was waiting for me to move, to make a noise.
I watched booted feet crunch through glass, getting closer and closer, and slowly, fight or flight began to take over.
Making it halfway across the living room, my palms slick with my mother’s blood, I thought I was going to live.
Cruel fingers wound their way through my hair and shoved me to my knees. I remember the phantom legs of a spider creeping down the back of my neck when the shadow with no face dragged the barrel of his gun down my spine.
“Turn around.”
The shadow had a voice.
When I didn't move, the protruding metal stabbed into my neck.
“Turn around, kid!”
I did, very slowly.
Behind him, my siblings still weren't moving.
They were asleep.
Lily was still smiling, strawberry blonde ringlets stained red.
I couldn't see PJ’S face anymore.
BANG.
I didn't feel the gunshot.
I didn't feel anything.
Looking down, I glimpsed slowly spreading red blossoming like a flower.
It felt like being cut from strings.
I hit the ground, just like my mother, my body felt heavy and wrong.
Paralysed.
I remember being unable to scream, unable to cry, the salty taste of metal filling my mouth. It was like being winded. Rolling onto my side, all I could see was flickering candlelight.
The air was thick, so hard to breathe.
I rolled onto my back trying to suck in air.
The shadow took a step back, opened the front door, and bled into the night.
I don't remember the pain, and I don't remember dying. I couldn't breathe, couldn't conjure words in my mouth.
I felt warm and sticky, lying in my own blood.
I think I tried to move.
But I was so tired.
I’m not sure what death feels like, because it's like going to sleep.
I remember my last shuddering breaths, a lulling darkness beginning to swallow me up. I don't know why I wasn't afraid.
Oblivion almost felt like I was sinking into lukewarm depths on a Summer’s day.
Oblivion wasn't pain, and there was a peaceful inevitability to it.
It was endless nothing, a nothing I found myself gravitating towards. But before I could envelope myself in that darkness, it was spitting me back out.
The next thing I knew, I was in a white room, a slow beeping sound tearing me from slumber. I had a vague memory of slow spreading roses blossoming across my shirt, like summer flowers blooming.
Everything was white.
The walls, the ceiling, and my clothes.
Sensation hit me in slow waves.
Exhaustion.
I felt it tightening its grip around my brain, dragging me back onto a mountain of pillows when I tried to jump up. My Aunt May was sitting next to me on a plastic chair, her warm fingers entangled in mine. Aunt May and Mom were practically twins, with the same thick red hair and pale skin.
Mom wore her hair in a casual ponytail, while May preferred a strict bun.
I had to bite back the urge to yank my hand away.
Aunt May was asleep, used tissues filling her lap.
There was a nurse pottering around, checking my vitals and prodding my arms. My eyes felt heavy. I had to blink several times to keep myself awake.
“Charlie?”
The nurse’s voice was like wind-chimes.
I pretended not to notice her forced lipstick smile, the way she stood with her arms folded, staring at me like I was one of my cousin’s experiments. “You were in an accident, sweetie,” the nurse spoke up. I could see her trembling hands. “Just, um, try and rest, okay?”
I wanted to ask where my family was, but I already knew the answer.
I think she knew that too.
“You died, Charlie.” The nurse’s voice was eerily cold. “You were dead for thirteen minutes.”
She took slow steps towards me, her eyes growing frenzied, like she couldn't understand me, like I was a puzzle she could not solve– and it was driving her crazy. I could see it in her twitching hands, her wobbling lips that were trying and failing to appear stoic.
“In fact, I just pulled you out of the morgue, honey. I opened up your body bag that I had just zipped up, and told your aunt that you were a miracle I just… can’t understand.” The nurse sounded like she was trying to choke down a laugh, or maybe a sob.
“Charlotte, you were pronounced dead at 3:02am from a gunshot wound to the chest.” Taking a slow, sobering breath, the nurse tried to smile. “The bullet went through the right ventricle of your heart and severely damaged your left lung, rendering you unable to breathe. Your heart stopped, and after four attempts to resuscitate, we called it.”
Something slimy wound its way up my throat when she began to pace the room. “I… did all the paperwork. It took me two minutes. Your death certificate was signed, and your body was taken to the morgue to be prepped for transportation. Then I had my lunch. Tuna salad with a protein milkshake. I’m not a fan of the chocolate flavor.”
She shook her head. “Anyway, when I came back to you, you were awake inside your body bag.” Her voice was starting to break. “You were…um, alive, and asked me for apple soda.”
The nurse moved closer, and yet kept her distance.
I could feel myself moving back, panic writhing through me.
“So.” The nurse spoke calmly. “How the fuck are you still alive, Charlie?”
I think I passed out after that.
When I woke up again, my head a lot less heavier, the nurse was gone.
Slowly, my foggy brain began to find itself and connect dots.
My mouth was dry, full of cotton.
There was a sudden tightness, a sharp and cruel sting in my wrists.
Something sharp was protruding into my flesh, and no matter how many times I violently wrenched my arm, it was stuck. It didn't feel right to be able to breathe so easily.
I knew the second I woke that my Mom was dead.
Lily and PJ were dead, and it was like losing them all over again.
As clarity came over me, I found my voice, a strangled cry escaping my lips.
“Get it out.” I whispered in a shrill cry.
Tugging at the IV in my wrist, I tried to yank the needle from my skin.
“Get it out!” I shrieked, my gaze glued to the tiny spots of blood staining the insertion point.
I could see it again.
So much blood.
Mom was curled up on the floor, lying in slow spreading red that wouldn't stop, seeping across her beaded rug.
She was all over me, slick on my skin and caked in my fingernails.
I couldn't wash her off of me.
“You're okay, Charlotte.”
Aunt May’s voice came from my right, stabling me to reality.
The world started to move again, started to make sense again, when she cupped my cheeks and told me to breathe. When I opened my mouth to ask where my family were, she lightly shook her head and I swallowed my words. Aunt May handed me a glass of water, and I drained it in one gulp.
She told me I was a miracle.
Aunt May didn't say much, and when she did, she broke into sobs.
Her eyes were raw from crying, clinging onto me, her shuddery voice reassuring me that I was going to be okay.
She told me I would be living with her from now on, before wrapping me into a hug and leaving to get coffee.
Once my aunt was gone, another nurse came to prod my IV.
I tried to sleep, but the uncomfortable tightness of the needle sticking into my skin and the sterile white lights in my eyes made it impossible. I waited for grief to catch up with me, drowning me in a hollow oblivion I wouldn't be able to claw myself out of. But I didn't feel sad. I didn't feel angry.
I wanted to know why my family were dead.
I wanted to know why I was breathing, and their skin was ice cold.
Rotting.
The sudden image of maggots crawling up my brother’s nose sent me lurching into a sitting position, my stomach heaving. Reaching for my glass of water, it was empty. The sensation of throwing up felt familiar, almost comforting.
Mom was always with me when I was sick, holding my hair back and lulling my hysteria with reassuring murmurs.
I was frowning at the trash can by the door, my cotton candy brain trying to figure out if I would be able to make it in time, when a small voice drifted from the doorway, startling me.
“I don't want you to come live with us.”
My cousin was peeking through the door, hiding behind a shock of dark brown curls. Jude was the only brunette in our family. The rest of us were redheads.
I wasn't sure why he was dressed up like a ghost, draped in a white cloak that was way too big for him. Jude was a weird kid. His mother, and my auntie, had inherited the family house, so in his mind, that made him superior.
Jude made it clear he didn't like his cousins, refusing to let us play with him and banning us from family gatherings.
When the adults were drinking cocktails and losing their awareness, Jude ordered us around. The times we did play with him, our cousin showed us his spider collection, or the raccoon brain he kept in a jar. PJ was convinced our younger cousin was a serial killer. Several months earlier, he'd happily showed us the roadkill he'd been growing bacteria on under his bed.
Jude’s ‘experiments’ were worrying.
He stuffed mushrooms down my brother’s ears while he was sleeping, to, and I quote, “Recreate The Last Of Us.”
When Lily had a nosebleed during Thanksgiving dinner, Jude collected all her bloody tissues and refused to tell us where he'd put them, and what he had done with them. Fast-forward two months, and I found them under a nest of spiders. Jude was trying to adapt the spiders to be able to feed on human blood. I was surprised my cousin hadn't immediately demanded to see my siblings’ dead bodies for autopsy.
Jude stepped into the room, shuffling his feet.
“I'm sorry about Lily, PJ, and Aunt Ivy.” He mumbled, glaring at the floor tiles.
My cousin made no move to offer real sympathy, instead speaking to the floor.
“But I don't want you to come live with us.” Jude lifted his head, looking me dead in the eye. “I don't like you, Charlie. I want you to stay away.”
Before I could reply, he stepped back like I was diseased.
“You should be dead.” Jude grumbled.
He scowled at me, getting my age purposely wrong as usual before running off.
“Happy 68th birthday.”
I was six months older than him.
In Jude’s eyes, I was ready for retirement.
Still, though, my cousin was right.
I was stone cold dead, and then I was somehow alive.
Which was wrong.
Growing up, I realized Death was not so subtly attempting to fix his mistake.
It started small. I'd choke on things I wasn't supposed to choke on.
Chips.
Candy.
Ice cream.
Aunt May had to perform the heimlich manoeuvre when I choked on a piece of chicken. I thought I was just really unlucky, but then I locked myself in a freezer that didn't have a lock, and almost drowned in the local swimming pool, catching my foot in stray netting.
At the summer fair, Jude convinced me to try apple bobbing, only for my head to conveniently get stuck underwater.
It started to make sense.
I was supposed to die with my family that night, and death was out to get me.
Death started to get clever, changing his tactic. Instead of using everyday things to try to kill me, he sent reinforcements.
I turned twelve years old, and my aunt threw me a huge party, inviting all my classmates. Aunt May was rich, rich.
Mom never explained it, but our grandparents left everything to May.
The house was like a palace, a labyrinth of floors I was yet to explore, and two swimming pools.
I was in the kitchen cutting myself a slice of cake, when, out of nowhere, a dead boy came rushing at me with one of my aunt’s favorite kitchen knives.
A dead boy who I immediately recognised.
Wren Oliver.
Several years prior, he'd gone missing from his parents' yard. The town launched a full investigation, only to find his body in a ditch a week later.
So, Death had sent a footsoldier.
Hiding under a hooded sweatshirt, Wren appeared older, like he had grown up with me. But there was a startling vacancy in his expression that drew the breath from my lungs, freezing me in place. Wren’s death was announced as an accident, though his wounds suggested the opposite, dried blood smearing his right temple and a cavernous hole in his chest, his clothes painted, stained, in bright red, glued in sticky mounds clinging to him.
The boy’s eyes were wild, feral, like an animal.
His hair was longer, a mess of reddish curls matted to his forehead.
Lip split into a demented giggle.
I remember taking a slow step back, my gaze glued to the knife.
Wren’s fingers were wrapped around the handle like he knew exactly how to use it, how to plunge it into my heart and kill me for good. He moved like a predator, zero self awareness or recognition, only driven to kill me.
The dead boy prided himself in slow, intimidating steps, shoving me against the wall and dragging the blade of the knife down the curve of my throat.
His eyes confused me, writhing with hatred that was artificial, programmed into him as Death’s official soldier.
He didn't speak, only smiled, revelling in my fear. I could tell it thrilled him, my trembling hands, my sharp, heavy breaths I couldn't control. Squeezing my eyes shut, I waited to finally die.
I waited for the pain, and to lose my breath once again.
But death was playing with me.
When I opened my eyes, the dead boy was gone, and I was on my knees, screaming.
“Wren Oliver is trying to kill me!" I managed to hiss.
My aunt knelt in front of me, her expression crumpling.
*Sweetie,” She spoke softly, squeezing my hands. Aunt May was trying to appear calm for my sake, but I could tell she was scared, her frantic eyes searching mine. “Wren Oliver is dead.”
The kids surrounding me started to giggle, whispering among themselves.
In the corner of my eye, my cousin was leaning against the door, mid eye roll.
When my aunt was ushering kids back to the pool, Jude came to crouch in front of me. Ever since I started living with him, he'd made sure to keep his distance.
This time, though, Jude leaned uncomfortably close, a sparkle in his eyes I had never seen before. Inclining his head, he rocked back and forth on his heels, prodding me in the forehead.
“If you see the dead boy again, can you tell me?” His lips curved into a smile.
“I did see him.” I gritted out. “I’m not lying.”
Jude shrugged. “I never said you didn't,” he lowered his voice into a whisper, “I wanna know when you see him again.”
“Why?”
His lips curved into a smirk.
“So, I can catch him.”
My cousin got closer, his breath tickling my cheek.
“I seeeeeeee dead people.”
After that incident, death left me alone for a while.
I was fifteen, walking through the forest with a friend, catching fireflies in bell jars. Aunt May was lucky to live so close to the forest, the entrance just outside her back door. When we were littles, PJ would drag Lily and I down the trail to escape Jude’s weird experiments.
I decided to invite Jem Littlewood on a summer walk.
Jem was cute, but in a dorky way. He was chronically clumsy, and dressed like he'd been spat out of a John Hughes movie. We hiked all the way to the end of the river and had a picnic, watching the sun set over the horizon. I was having conflicting feelings for this guy.
Jem was obsessed with fireflies.
Though he seemed more interested in photographing them than me.
The guy couldn't seem to sit still, jumping to his feet to marvel at tiny specks of light dancing in the air.
“I'm just going to take photos!” Jem beamed, holding up his camera.
I had to bite back the urge to say, “Don't you have enough photos?”
I nodded, and he turned and sprinted back down the trail.
Before his footsteps ground to a sudden halt.
At first, I thought he was snapping polaroids.
When I got closer, though, blinking in the eerie dark, I caught something.
Bending down, I picked up a bell jar still spilling fireflies.
Further down the trail, Jem was lying crumpled in the dirt, his camera smashed to pieces next to him, blood running in thick rivulets down his temple. There he was. Leaning against a tree, his arms folded, was the ghost boy. Wren Oliver was growing up with me. Now, a teenager, and yet his face was carved into something else entirely, more of a monster, slight points to his ears and too-sharp teeth, eyes ignited.
Wren didn't look like a ghost boy anymore.
Death had dressed him in shackles of ivy, a crown of glass and bone forced onto his head, entangled in his curls. Death was torturing him.
Wren’s body was its canvas, and every time I got away, he was punished, painting his failures across scarred skin.
I should have been running for my life, but I was mesmerised by each symbol cruelly carved into his neck.
The boy did a slow head incline, like he couldn't believe I was standing in front of him.
His slow spreading smile caught me off guard.
I remembered how to run, stumbling over my feet.
But I couldn't move.
The burning hatred that death had filled him with, was stronger, hollowing him out completely. I managed two shaky steps, before I felt him, an unearthly force winding its way around my spine. This time, he didn't hesitate.
I watched his mouth move, a single curve of his upper lip that wrenched my body from my control, slamming me against a tree. There was something around my throat, choking the breath from my lungs, a thick fog spreading over my eyes.
Following his mouth curving into silent letters, I could feel my feet slowly leaving the ground, my legs dangling.
I was floating.
Hovering off of the ground, suspended by his words.
Through half lidded eyes, I caught the glint of a blade between his fist, but I couldn't move, couldn't scream.
He was drowning me, bleeding into my blood, spider webbing and expanding in my brain without moving a muscle.
Instead, the ghost boy stood silently, running his thumb down the teeth of his knife while he ripped my lungs apart.
It was like suffocating, sinking into that peaceful oblivion I met at eight years old.
This time, though, the darkness was starving.
“Charlie?”
My eyes found daylight, a scream clawing out of my mouth.
“Charlie, it's past curfew!”
Wren flinched, his stoic expression crumpling.
The dead boy’s lips moved again, this time in a curse.
Fuck.
“Charlotte!”
Staggering back, Wren’s eyes widened and the suffocating hold on me severed.
His head snapped in the direction my aunt was coming from.
“Charlie, answer me right now.”
He hesitated, his bare feet pivoting in the dirt, like he was considering finishing me off. Wren studied me with lazy eyes, sucking on his bottom lip. When my aunt's footsteps got louder, branches snapping under her shoes, something contorted in the boy’s face.
Fear.
I guessed the boy wasn't expecting other humans to intrude.
Wren fell over himself, shuffling on his hands and knees, before diving to his feet. When he turned and ran, I was released, slipping to the ground, trying and failing to draw in breath. I barely felt the impact, only a dull thudding pain. I could hear the ghost boy’s footsteps, his uneven, shuddery breaths as he catapulted into a run.
Under a late setting sun, I watched his dancing shadow disappear into the trees.
Mission unsuccessful, I guessed.
When I was fully conscious, Aunt May was checking over Jem, helping him sit up.
“Where did he go?” I managed to get out, scanning the darkness for Wren.
“He's okay, just concussed.” May whispered, dialling 911.
My aunt applied a dressing to Jem’s wound, ignoring the boy’s hisses.
“Keep still.” she murmured, smoothing his bandaid. “What happened, Charlotte?”
“She pushed me over.” Jem groaned, shuffling away from me. When my aunt told him to stay calm, he straightened up, leaning against the tree. “The psycho bitch tried to fucking kill me!”
When my aunt's gaze flicked to me, I shook my head.
“It was Wren Oliver.” I gritted, teetering on hysteria. I could tell she didn't believe me, but I couldn't stop myself.
I prodded at my throat, clawing for the indentations where his phantom fingers snaked around my neck, squeezing the breath from my lungs.
But there was nothing.
I could feel my mind starting to unravel. I nodded to my disgruntled classmate trying to dodge my aunt’s prodding.
“Ow, ow, ow! That stings!
“He knocked Jem out.” I managed. “Then he tried to kill me.”
Jem surprised me with a scoff. “You're seriously blaming your psychotic break on a dead kid?”
Aunt May pursed her lips, motioning for Jem to be quiet. Judging from her face, however, she agreed with the boy.
May forced a smile, though it didn't quite reach her eyes. “Okay. Can you, uh, describe the boy to me, Charlotte?”
“He was wearing a crown,” I said, “And he looked my age.”
Aunt May cocked her head, and I saw real worry, like she was trying not to freak out. Jem made a snorting noise.
“I'm sorry, he was wearing a crown?”
“Yes!” I insisted, getting progressively more frustrated.
I tried to jump up, only for my aunt to gently lower me back down. “I know it sounds crazy, but death has sent Wren Oliver to kill me, just like my family. He tried to kill me when I was twelve, too!”
Jem let out a bitter laugh. “Your niece is a fucking wackadoodle.”
Aunt May’s eyes darkened. She grabbed my shoulders, her nails stabbing into my skin. “Charlie, I want you to listen to me, okay?” When my eyes found the rapidly darkening sky, my aunt forced me to look at her.
“Charlotte!”
She was as scared as me, her voice shuddering.
“Wren Oliver is dead.” My aunt said firmly, shaking me. Even then, though, I wasn't even looking at her. I was trying to find his ignited eyes lighting up the dark. “Wren died at eight years old in a terrible accident, and you can't keep using him as an excuse for your mental trauma.” There was something twitching in her expression I was trying to make sense of. When I risked a look at Jem, the boy was staring at me dazedly– like I really was crazy.
Aunt May pressed her face into my shoulder, and I could feel her tears soaking into my shirt. She was trying to hold it together, trying to understand.
“Charlie, I know you lost your family,” she whispered. “But you and Wren Oliver are not the same. You survived, and he didn't.” Her voice splintered.
“You need to come to terms with that, okay?”
When I didn't respond, she pinched my chin, forcing me to look at her.
“Charlotte.”
Aunt May’s voice turned cold. “I ignored this when you were a kid, but if you continue to use this poor boy as a coping mechanism, I will have no choice but to send you to a specialist.”
When Jem was taken away by paramedics, Aunt May held my hand, squeezing my fingers for dear life.
I caught her gaze scanning the tree's around us, delving into twisting oblivion. Every little noise sent her twisting around. She was looking for something.
“I'm going to get you help.” Aunt May said in a low murmur when we were back at the house. Jude was sitting on the kitchen counter, legs swinging. I could feel his penetrating gaze burning into the back of my head.
Aunt May set a cup of cocoa on the table.
“No more fairytales.”
By the time I was eighteen, I had bitten three therapists.
They refused to believe that death was coming to reclaim my soul, and was using a dead boy to do his dirty work.
For my 16th birthday, I braced myself to come face to face with Wren Oliver’s ghost.
I wasn't even in town, staying at a friend's house.
But dead boys, and especially dead boys moulded into Death’s personal soldiers, could materialise anywhere.
I locked every door in the house, and taped up my friend’s window.
Nothing happened.
On my seventeenth birthday, I was sick in bed with gastritis.
Still no ghost boy.
Death seemed to have finally left me alone.
On my eighteenth birthday, I was stuffing books in my locker when my cousin popped up out of nowhere, scowling as usual. After an unexpected growth spurt and losing a tonne of baby fat, my cousin had scaled the high school hierarchy, swapping his weird experiments for a varsity jacket and experimenting with his sexuality.
The two of us had come to an unspoken truce.
I kept quiet about his spider collection to his popular friends, and he tolerated my existence until I left for college.
“Your surprise party is cancelled.”
Jude leaned against my locker, running a hand through thick dark hair tucked under a baseball cap. Jude never admitted it, but he was definitely embarrassed of being the odd one out.
My siblings may be dead, but they were still redheads.
I pulled off his cap with a smile, throwing it in his face. “Sure it is.”
My cousin’s eyes widened. He lost his slick bravado, grabbing for his cap.
“Hey!”
According to my cousin, my party was unexpectedly cancelled every year.
I wasn't sure if it was his weird superiority complex, or just plain jealousy, but it was getting exhausting.
Jude followed me down the hallway, matching my stride.
“Can you just not come home tonight?”
I quickened my pace. “It's only a party. I'm having some friends over, and no, we won't go anywhere near your room.”
“No, I mean.” Jude stepped in front of me, and for the first time in a while, he wasn't trying to hide disdain for me.
His dark eyes pinned me in place for a moment, the world around us coming to a halt. Sound bled away, and all I heard were his slow breaths. There was something there, an unexplainable twitch in his eyes and lips, that twisted my gut.
Jude stepped closer, his lip curling. He shoved me back, losing his facade.
“Stay the fuck away from the house tonight.” He said, and his voice, his tone, was enough to send shivers creeping down my spine. Jude had always hid behind a ten foot wall in his mind. It was jarring to see something in him finally start to splinter. Fuck. I thought.
This kid had serious Mommy issues.
I blinked, and the world resumed, kids pushing past us.
Jude seemed to catch himself, slipping back under his mask.
“I'm having friends over,” he rolled his eyes, “Your presence will ruin the vibe.”
“It's my birthday?”
He groaned, tipping his head back. “Yes, I know. But–”
“I think you can deal with the attention off of you for one night, Jude.”
“Will Wren Oliver be there too?” Jem Littlewood hollered.
Jude didn't respond for a moment, his lip curling.
“Shut the fuck up.” He spat at Jem, who immediately backed down. With an audience this time, Jude forced an award winning smile. “Fine.” His lips split into a grin I knew he hated. My cousin clamped his hand on my shoulder, hard enough to hurt. I could feel his fingers pinching the material of my jacket. “Have it your way, dude.”
Jude backed away with a two fingered salute.
“Happy 78th birthday!”
In a sense, I wish I listened to my cousin.
My party was a success, sort of.
Four of us, a crate of beers, and no sign of my cousin.
I was mildly tipsy, sitting on the edge of the pool, dangling my legs in the water when my friend demanded more beers.
I was also hungry for cake, so I stumbled inside in search of the goods.
The house was dark, lit up in dazzling blue from the pool's lights reflecting through the windows. Aunt May was in her office on the ground floor, and Jude was getting high in his room. In my drunken state, I found myself marvelling my aunt's house, and how much of it was left unexplored.
For example, in the foyer, past the spiral staircase she’d had custom made, was an elevator I had never questioned.
There was a girl my age standing on the staircase.
She was frozen, mid run, dressed in ragged jeans and t-shirt.
Everything about her stuck out to me, bringing me to a sobering halt.
The girl reminded me of my sister– or at least, if my sister had ever grown up.
I wasn't sure if I was drunk or hallucinating.
Her flower crown was pretty…
Lily had grown wings.
I was slowly moving towards her, a sudden bang sounding from the kitchen.
The bang of something shattering on the floor.
Twisting around, I found myself gravitating towards warm golden light.
The first thing I saw was the refrigerator door hanging open, and someone, no, something, rooting around inside it.
Glued to the spot, I dazedly watched them grab milk, guzzling it down, and then soda, cracking open each can and sucking them dry, before carving their fingers into my birthday cake.
But I wasn't looking at the spillage of food seeping across the floor. Instead, my gaze found a crown of antlers, both human and animal bone entangled with dead flowers and human remains glued to a head of familiar matted brown curls. There was something sticking from battered and bruised flesh, twin gaping slits sliced through a torn shirt resembling glass wings that were not yet formed, reminding me of a butterfly.
Wings.
But not the wings I dreamed of as a kid. These things were unnatural mounds that both did and didn't make sense on a human boy. I could see the trauma of them slicing through his flesh, monstrous, looming things protruding from what was left of a human spine.
Human, and yet I couldn't call his beautifully grotesque face human.
Wren Oliver had grown up with me, now an adult.
Eighteen years old.
His clothes confused me, a single white shirt and shorts.
Wren’s feet were bare, battered and bruised, blood smearing my aunt's tiles.
Angel.
Death had turned his footsoldier, and my future killer, into an angel.
But there was nothing angelic about the dead boy, his body and mind sculpted and moulded into Death’s own.
The boy no longer resembled a human, feral eyes and a manic smile, choking down pieces of cake. His face had been contorted into a monster, gnashing teeth and sharp points in his ears, a sickly tinge to malnourished skin.
And that's when it hit me, watching him stuff himself with food.
Something slimy inched its way up my throat.
The boy didn't move. I don't even think he'd noticed me, gorging himself on anything he could get his hands on.
Chicken, raw bacon, leftover salad.
When he moved onto cupcakes, licking frosting from his fingers, I glimpsed markings on his arms, a language I didn't understand, carved into him.
His wrists were shackled, bound, in entangled iron and vine, iron that was ingrained into his skin, vines and flowers and ivy entangling his bones, that were part of him, polluting his blood. Slowly, my eyes found stab wounds splitting open his torso.
Raw flesh, where his skin had been torched, melting, and then merging, ripped apart and put back together over and over again.
I found his heart, the gaping cavern in his chest where it should be.
And it was.
Marked, carved, and branded with a symbol resembling an X.
Wren Oliver was not dead.
But, just like me, he should have been.
I remember saying his name, my voice slurred slightly.
I didn't drink that much, but I could barely coerce words, my head spinning.
Wren’s neck snapped towards me, his eyes narrowing with resentment I couldn't understand, hatred that seemed to puppeteer him. Slowly tilting his head, the boy’s lips split into a grin, eyes filled, polluted, with mania.
I could see where his lips had been stitched shut, and then ripped open.
“Hi.”
He held up his hand in an awkward wave.
When one of my friends stumbled into the kitchen, Wren reacted on impulse.
He picked up a knife from the counter, throwing it like a dart, straight through the guy’s throat.
Something shattered inside my mind.
Ignoring my friend bleeding out, Wren stumbled over himself, abandoning his feast. He took a single step towards me, backing me against the wall, coming so close, close enough for me to feel his very real breath grazing my cheeks. Just like when he was a kid, he traced the teeth of his blade down my throat. I wasn't expecting him to burst out laughing, trembling with hysteria.
His eyes were wild, feral and wrong, almost euphoric.
With what all I could only recognise as relief.
BANG.
I was barely aware of the gunshot.
The bullet went straight through his head, the winged boy hitting the ground.
Dead.
I saw the blood stemming around him in a halo before the bleeding pool faltered, seeping back inside his head.
Like rewinding a VCR.
Wren was dead, and then he was alive.
Wren’s body contorted, his chest inflating.
His gasp for air was painful, strangled, eyes opening wide.
Terrified.
“You fucking idiot.”
Jude’s voice sent me twisting around.
My cousin stood in the exact same robes he wore as a child.
The world tipped off kilter, and I was on my knees, then my stomach.
I sunk to the floor, my thoughts swimming.
Jude’s murmur followed me, creeping into the dark.
“I told you not to come home.”
I can't remember how long I was unconscious for.
When I woke, I was dressed in an evening gown, a dress that used to be my mother’s.
My vision cleared, and I found myself sitting in an unfamiliar room resembling an abandoned swimming hall.
The pool itself was empty, the bottom stained revealing scarlet.
There were symbols carved into each tile.
Like a game.
“Sit up straight, Charlotte.”
I was sitting at a banquet.
Jude was in front of me, sipping on wine.
He caught my eye for half a second before averting his gaze.
At the far end of the table sat my aunt May.
Kissing the rim of her glass, her smile was twisted.
“I've been waiting so long to give you your birthday presents, Charlotte. Your memories should be returning soon.”
“Mom.” Jude muttered, hiding behind his glass. “Calm down. You're embarrassing yourself.”
Ignoring my cousin, May tapped her glass with a fork, and in walked my birthday presents.
No, dragged.
By their hair.
Wren Oliver, the dead boy, was in fact my aunt's prisoner.
Behind him, was the girl who looked so much like Lily.
I think that's why my aunt chose her.
Aunt May cleared her throat.
“For a long time, our family has lived among creatures who live in the forest you played inside. In exchange for keeping this town safe, they only ask for small favors. Wayward children who disappear into the woods are good enough payment. Charlie, you and your siblings do not share our inheritance. Your mother never wanted fae children. She wanted you to be human.”
Aunt May’s smile faded.
“After losing my sister, and my niece and nephew, I made a deal to give my last surviving niece 100 years of life.”
Her words were white noise, my gaze glued to my birthday presents. I couldn't call them human anymore.
I couldn't call Wren human, when his face was so beautifully grotesque, painfully hypnotising.
The monstrous things sticking from twin slits in his back were supposed to be wings, except they looked wrong, cruelly protruding from his exposed spine. Under the influence of alcohol earlier, the girl made me smile.
Her wings, to me, looked like one of a real fairy.
In reality, they were torn and shredded apart, bigger than the girl herself.
When she dropped onto her stomach, she was dragged back to her feet, her knees buckling under the weight. Her tiara of flowers and bone looked pretty to me when I saw her on the stairs.
Now, though, I could see the pearly white of a human child's skull forced onto her head, dead flowers threaded through cavernous, gaping eye sockets.
The two of them were violently shoved into the empty pool.
“Jude. Please demonstrate, sweetheart.”
Jude stood, pulling out a gun, and aiming it at the winged girl.
BANG.
The girl’s body hit the tiles, her blood seeping across stained white.
“Now, of course, our king did not give you life for free.” May continued.
“The King demanded a debt, as well as two heirs to join him in his court once your hundred years were complete.”
Her lips quirked into a smile.
“The king is smart. If a child cannot be stolen from the human world, they can, however, be made, moulded and shaped from their human forms, skinned of their humanity through their suffering, leaving a hollowed out shell in the child's place.” She was speaking so casually, ignoring Wren’s whimpers.
“The conversion takes a while. 100 years to birth a fully blooded fae heir, who will lose their human memories, in preparation to join their new family.”
Jude shot Wren in the chest, his eyes empty.
This time, he dropped his weapon, using finger-guns instead.
“Bang.” He deadpanned.
Then the neck.
I watched Wren come back to life, and then die.
Over and over again.
I think at one point, he screamed and cried.
But not now.
He was their puppet on display, dancing for their entertainment.
Half lidded eyes drowned in oblivion found mine, and I understood his hatred.
Before he was shot again.
Stabbed.
Branded and burned, and ripped apart.
At some point, I screamed at them to stop. I couldn't breathe, slamming my hands over my ears and begging them.
Aunt May didn't listen, ordering for my hands to be tied down.
“The King required two human sacrifices to suffer in your place.” She concluded. “For one hundred years.”
Aunt May’s smile was suddenly sad, and she lifted her glass in a toast.
I was watching their blood trickle down each tile in the pool, like every death, every time they suffered, my body became progressively less human.
I felt disgusting. I wasn't supposed to be alive. Every single year of my life, every breath I had taken, was stolen.
Aunt May nodded at me, her lips forming a proud smile. She stood up, and was handed a sacrificial knife.
Climbing into the swimming pool herself, she strode over to Wren.
The boy slumped to the floor, trembling, his knees against his chest.
Aunt May grabbed him by the hair, forcing his head up, and sliced the blade across his throat.
His eyes flicked to me, and I swore he smiled.
Spots of red dotted yellowing tiles, a river trickling under my aunt's heels.
“Happy 78th birthday, Charlotte.”
Last night ended with me being locked in my room.
It's been almost 15 hours, and the door is still locked. Please help me. I'm fucking terrified of what my aunt is planning.
I can't stop shgajing. FycjbfucibFUCK
If she is telling the truth, I shouldn't be here, right??
And I can't stop thinking.
Is Wren Oliver trying to kill me, or himself?

2024.05.07 22:29 DruidAesthetic WHO'S NEXT: My theories about Home's upcoming victims

Inspired by Game Theory's videos on Welcome Home, and following their most recent theory video, here are my thoughts on the current version of the website and its foreshadowing (written 4/6/24, edited before posting on 5/7/24):
  1. On the "What's Welcome Home?" page, the third image headed "These puppets are here to stay!" features a description stating, "Colorful characters like Wally, Julie, Barnaby and are waiting to meet you!" If not just a typo, as I suspect, they'd be omitting a character. The two standing cut-out characters in the image are Eddie and Sally. Given that we know Eddie to be the first target, coupling Sally with him in this ad is worrisome. In the same image, A/B/C correspond to the merch listed at the bottom of the ad... D, however, is obscured/corrupted, and its description is cut off. It's unclear what item “D” could be referring to, but it's worth noting that the record in the image is being held by puppet hands, presumably Wally's.
  2. Sally Starlet’s description from the WHRP: “…there are only nine visible neighbors in Home…" We know there to be nine neighbors in Home: Home, Wally, Sally, Frank, Poppy, Julie, Barnaby, Howdy, Eddie. Who isn't visible? (Or are they referring to Us, the audience, their Neighbors?)
  3. Poppy Partridge is noted to be seen exclusively indoors, and was reportedly excluded from Wally’s Homewarming party. This isolation, coupled with the red “P” visible in the bushes of the Home Page, suggests she may be the next victim of Home. (If this theory is correct, and Poppy is next on the meat hook, the video has GOT to be titled "Empty Nest", right?)
  4. In the Mystery Audio file between Eddie, Sally, and Poppy, Sally directs a production of Jack and the Beanstalk, in which Poppy is the Beanstalk, who she explains will be climbed and chopped into with an axe.
  5. Poppy answers the phone “the Partridge nest”, then corrects herself to say Poppy. Almost as though keeping her family, or life before Home, a secret.
  6. The aforementioned red "P" could also stand for Pillar... Howdy Pillar’s store advertises being “100% Off!” In this context, “Off” could mean strange, or it could be a flash sale because Everything Must Go. (It's also possible this sign could simply refer to his favoring laughter over currency, or be a generous offer in the spirit of Homewarming.)
  7. Howdy Pillar’s store also says, “Welcome Pillar Family” despite our knowing from Howdy’s bio that he “originated from an apple core in a tree alongside his plentiful brothers and sisters … Akin to Julie’s siblings, Howdy’s family doesn’t seem to live in Home either.” Yet, they’re depicted on the cover of the Holiday Hullabaloo album. Is it possible they simply visited for Homewarming? This would contradict the isolation theme.
  8. In the “Just So” Song Demo, multiple characters enter and exit, and the plot derails a few times. In most shows and recordings, the song would have ended at the first or second disruption. But the track doesn’t end until Howdy Pillar arrives and enters the house.
  9. Howdy Pillar is a caterpillar, and Frank studies butterflies. GT has discussed the use of bugs to convey information, tying the coded crawlers on-screen to Frank's entomology and potential involvement in the investigation of Home. If we follow the theme of bugs representing important or hidden information, who better to turn to next than the humor-coping caterpillar himself? (Something something, chrysa-lies?)
  10. There is a bug on the bottom of the Home page, but clicking it yields no results, so it’s unclear if it’s meant to be there, just under the Website Update claiming no more bugs. There’s also a button that says “Increase Count” with the number "1 0 0 0 0 0 0 0" (10 million) above it. Clicking that button does observably nothing.
  11. After so many hours, I only just noticed that the image of the full cast, the file titled Screen+Shot+2024+02+14... is moving. The image rolls from top to bottom in a motion almost like breathing, which may just be a design element like the moving flowers or spinning icons. Except that it's nearly imperceptible, and I'm unsure that it was always there... ?
  12. Zooming out of the home page gives you the full image of two butterflies carrying mail away from chaotic eyes towards clear blue skies. The leading butterfly is rainbow-colored, with a green head and red antennae, similar to Howdy. The other butterfly is red and orange, covered in hearts, similar to Eddie's color palette and Valentine-themed sticker featured on the "Welcome Home!" page.
  13. In the Mystery Audio file between Barnaby, Wally, and Howdy, Barnaby tells a joke: *"*What do you call a caterpillar after a month-long nap? A butterfly! But if you ask me, I’d call the poor guy a doctor!" Howdy laughs, but... that sounded like a threat.
  14. THE VINYL "Drawing with Wally Darling" - Sped and pitched up, this vinyl seems to be a story. It starts with who sounds like Wally Darling, humming: "Mmmm, on a summer day!" Then an unidentified male narrator, who reads, "Alice felt herself falling down, down, down." Alice, seemingly played by Julie, cries, "Oh, gee! I never thought you could run in-" (VINYL ENDS) The role of Julie as Alice could be further supported by the flower painted on the vinyl, which is her symbol.
  15. The vinyl was produced by Marlo Records, who chose here to use a different symbol instead of the MARLO toy brand's eye. The vinyl instead has a hand holding a paintbrush, with its pinky out.
  16. The MARLO brand is featured on multiple products, said by Santa in the Wish Book ad, and features an eye in Wally’s colors inside of a white house outline. But what does "MARLO" mean?
  17. In the cookbook's “It’s a Dog!” hot dog recipe, the description reads, “There It is!” The hot dog is exploded or otherwise desecrated. Is this related to Barnaby?
  18. Frank Frankly’s Single Pea in Gelatin. GT discussed the single pea on a plate, but… The Cookbook keeps Frank encased in gelatin as well.
  19. The Happy Haunting record, Wally’s Toyland, and Bug-A-Bye are not italicized, unlike every other item in the list.
  20. “Happy Haunting to Boo and Yours!” transcript for Sally’s campfire tale:
CONTEXT LINES FROM VINYL: "...this town is rumored to have visitors at night… Something from deep within the forest, far beyond the hills and mountains… No one knows what it wants or where it’s going, just that it is persistent.. Just that it arrives here. So many stories have risen about their origins… But I know what it is searching for."
OMITTED TRANSCRIPT, AS I HEARD IT: “It is looking for neighbors who have stayed out past the daytime to gobble them up whole. That is why so few live here. It moves through the streets at night, but it doesn’t break into homes. However, on rare instances, it will find itself with an appetite left unsatisfied by its aimless wandering. Even the occasional unfortunate insect that has crossed its path is not enough. Those who have lived through the night say, ‘it isn’t quiet about it either.’ They always say you can hear when it gets closer to you. Do you know what sound it makes? I hear it every night. You can hear it too if you listen. Especially if you wait next to your window. First, there’s rustling in the bushes. Then, scratching on the pavement… on the walls, as it climbs up. Finally, if you’re quiet, you can hear its guttural sound.”
Other noted trivia that might mean something: Julie has hearts on the bottom of her paws, a special trait shared by Barnaby and connected to Wally's shoes (Homewarming Greeting Cards).
Frank-Eddie-Julie love triangle (Given that Frank and Julie are canonically a couple): “Eddie's Big Lift” – After impressing the town by picking up each resident at their request, Eddie lies exhausted and crushed on the ground. Then there's this exchange:
FRANK: [Frank looks down at him, rotating his head a bit as if to shake it.] You always did work too hard. EDDIE: Wha? Huh? FRANK: I’m going inside. Enjoy the ground, Mr. Dear. EDDIE: Alrighty! S-say, uh, before you go, any chance I could get a hand gettin’ up-- [door closing sound] oh, you’re gone. That’s fine!
Then, in the cookbook, Frank's cupcake glares at Eddie's, who gazes at Julie's, who smiles at the recipe.
[TL;DR - I think Poppy Partridge is not long for this world, Howdy Pillar may be more involved than previously thought, and Clown is an incredibly detailed and talented multimedia artist.]
That's all so far. What do you think? What have you found? Discuss!

2024.05.04 16:45 Garandhero Pezempic aka Celsius DD Party

All right boys, here it is the DD to end all DDs.
If you pay attention, you might find yourself floating in a green field enjoying the results of your multibagger getting that divorce you've always wanted and in a position for the first time in your life to not have to ask your wife's boyfriend for an allowance.
The play this week is 100% Celsius. Ticker symbol celh.
Google it regards.
Why do you want to put your entire portfolio into this on Monday? I'll tell you.
Firstly, this stuff is literally liquid cocaine. I know every single one of you have done cocaine and you all loved it. Imagine cocaine in liquid form. This is it. Sales Bros. Everywhere are crushing these things so they can stay awake and hit 40% of their quota. Managers are crushing these things so they can ask how many dials their teams are making and why they haven't hit their number 3 days into the month.
But here's the rub. It's not just the sales Bros that are getting forced back into the office due to regarded RTO policies anymore. I mean don't get me wrong. That's a big reason why you should be going full port on its own offices are stocking the s*** up like crazy and it's flying off the shelves. But now more importantly we're seeing the stuff pop up in gyms. And I'm talking all sorts of different gyms from planet fitnesses to your local CrossFit gyms. Why? Cuz it's basically a pre-workout too. You crack one of these bad boys before you hit the gym. You're guaranteed to have 100% gainz. Just like you're guaranteed to have 100% gainz on your profits this week.
Secondly, their last earnings report was tremendous and there's no reason to believe that anything has changed. In fact, Pepsi just talked about them a bit in their earnings report and had nothing but positive things to say about the direction the company is going and their continued support. But it's not just the words. It's the actions. Pepsi is aggressively helping Celsius with their distribution Network, getting them into new markets as we speak and putting them up everywhere. Food stores, gyms offices you can't turn a corner without seeing this stuffb and that's partially due to Pepsi's commitment and full support with their distribution Network.
I'm addition, they've actually come out with some pretty good new flavors. Their non-carbonated. Drinks are exceptional too.
Thirdly, they're going international. They announced it at their last earnings call and now they're executing putting in stuff all over the world so that more and more people can get addicted.
Finally we shouldn't even be calling this stuff Celsius. We should be calling it PEPZEMPIC.
That's right folks. Not only is this stuff cocaine it's also healthy and helps you lose weight. It is a weight loss a drug that requires no prescription.
That alone that last one right there alone means this thing is going to the Moon because all the fatties on the planet want to lose weight but they don't want to put in the effort to do it. Pop a couple Celsius. You're burning more calories than you do on a treadmill while shoving that cupcake and caramel macchiato down your gullet. Sure you might have a heart attack but who cares in the pursuit of good looks on only fans. There is no risk great enough for that.
Now here's the best part. We are not far off pre-last earnings Call pricing on stock. Sure, if you bought last week you'd be in better shape, but we're still not nearly where this thing spiked after a great earnings call in q1. Now's the Time and here's the play Monday. You pick your entry point. You buy the f*** out of this.
Tuesday after this thing rips 15 to 20%. You sell before that guy from the FED who hates America comes out and says some hawkish stuff that tanks the market.
Position 2 call strats EOW at $85 + 434 shares.
Good luck regards. I'll see you all in Valhalla.

2024.04.30 05:13 AquaFlaskUser Marikina is slowly losing its prestige.

We all have this perception na when we hear the word Marikina, we automatically associate it with discipline, cleanliness, and somehow progressive. However, that's not the case anymore, well based on how I observe things happening in my city.

First, the notion that Marikina is clean is somehow not the case anymore as there are many mendicants roaming around the city particularly in Bayan or around Sports Center. Mas marami na ring nakatambay at natutulog sa kalsada sa paligid ng Marikina Public Market.

Second, the notion that Marikina is disciplined is not the case anymore. Last election, majority of us voted for BBM and Sara while Marcy won despite its rival BF running for the mayoral position. However, we are on the brink of electing a trapo as her symbol is almost everywhere in the city. Eto na yata yung pinakamalalang trapo moves by Q since BF. Tapos ang daming tagarito na solid yung supporta sa kanila. Yes, I am pertaining to the Quimbos.
Lastly, buti pa Pasig and QC humahabol sa pagiging progressive. Samantalang napagiwanan na ang Marikina.

I used to be proud of Marikina due to good governance, pero even that baka mawala na rin and this city could be headed to become Manila or Pasay.

2024.04.26 16:38 Back_Slight Hate graffiti in NE Heights

Hate graffiti in NE Heights
I’ve passed these for a while and had convinced myself I was not seeing the symbols of hate I thought I was. Today I stopped and walked to them. They are reported to the city, however if they are not cleared soon maybe someone can get the polar bear artist to DM me for location and turn hate into a tasty cupcake.

2024.04.25 03:02 BrookieCookieCon19 My wedding was a dumpster fire... literally...

Thank God for my dad needing to go out that way anyway. I literally went as far as saying song a-c for while you wait, d for the procession, and e for my enterance with the sing titles. Miraculously, we make it through with those being the only things amiss, besides my husband being tired and looking grumpy the entire time (I guess he and Best Man stayed up half the night BSing with his uncle and having a couple drinks). At that point, everyone had eaten, we did the cake cutting, and a lot of the ceremonial stuff was over so I started cleaning up (condition of being able to use the hotel for free for the event as an employee) and everyone started pitching in.

2024.04.24 18:58 ViresseBloodwing Etsy will not explain to me why my diffusers violate policy and keep taking my listings down

UPDATE; I tried removing amber, removing any mention of rainbow quartz symbolism, the thing about nose blindness and all other suggestions and basically none of them work. I relisted other diffuser listings with amber to rule that out. repeatedly mind you. Further I make statements on my shop about my scents all being non toxic and vegan and I can produce SDS sheets. So I reached out to Etsy because I'm literally just selling a rainbow quartz diffuser with your choice of scent and botanicals and other crystals. The etsy customer service tried to gaslight me telling me I am selling a hazardous substance so I told them the same thing I mentioned jut above and that I can provide her SDS sheets and that if it's the amber I have sold that scent prior. It's clear it's mixed with other essential oils and non-hazardous. I even relisted another listing with her on to see that it does not trigger the system. She finally agreed she could not figure it out because after reading my listing there is nothing there that stands out to her. So after begging her she has forwarded my listing for review. I was very clear about everything I tried that everything is my own creation etc. She is totaly baffled because nothing at all violates policy in my listing to her. So we will see in a few days if someone actually helps me and can tell me what magical unicorn word is triggering Etsy's AI when all my other listings are not LOL!
~~~~~~~~~~
Basically I hand make wire wrapped crystals and put my own brand touch with charms that related to my brand. Well, I have been posting them on my website but want to cross list on etsy. They let me have my diffusers with crystals and botanical add-ins no issue, with steampunk keychains, but when I adjust the listing to discuss the rainbow quartz (each listing I've made is only adjusted to account for the materials used but for some reason my rainbow quartz is flagged. I don't spend more than 10 mins wrapping them but it's just messed up the customer service rep will not tell me what is wrong when I have literally other listings with only the title, pictures, and obviously different description of what the design is! otherwise they are the same. only the detachable keychain or pendant is different! I make diffusers that double as refresh oil to reduce waste. I'm very environmentally conscious and love creating multipurpose decor and aromatherapy pieces.)
Any idea why they auto flag this???? All my images have my logo and business card in them too!
Our home fragrance diffusers double as refresher oils for our potpourri line and are designed to be a functional piece of decor. Typical refresher oils for potpourri come in small glass vials that are often thrown away rather than reused. To reduce waste, we have eliminated this issue by offering multipurpose diffusers. Depending upon which diffuser style you have chosen, some or all of these instructions may apply to you.
~*~ To Use As A Diffuser ~*~
To use our diffusers simply remove the wooden cap and plastic stopper, then place the wooden cap back on securely. Invert the diffuser for 2 seconds. Put the plastic stopper in and secure the wooden cap over the top of it as it came to you. This prevents your delicious fragrance oil from evaporating. Freshen the wooden cap as needed. (See our images above illustrating how the wooden cap darkens once soaked in fragrance oil). Please note that while most of our fragrance and/or essential oils are skin safe, some are not. Please wash your hands if you get any on you and wipe up any spilt oil immediately.
Don't throw out the skull diffuser once you have used up the fragrance oil as you can refill it! Simply wash the skull glass component and place the wooden cap in something absorbent like rice to more quickly absorb the residual scent from the fragrance oil. Refill as desired.
Further, if you bought our potpourri with purchase of this diffuser, please use the pipette included with your order to deposit small amounts of oil on the hardest botanicals such as the cacao shells and fruits, pods, etc., and shake or stir the mix to get the orris root dispersed with the fresh oils.
~*~ What is nose blindness?
Olfactory fatigue, also known as nose blindness, is the temporary, normal inability to distinguish a particular odor after prolonged exposure. This is a form of neutral adaptation whereby the body is desensitized to a stimuli to prevent the nervous system from being overloaded so we can detect odors of genuine threat, like mold.
People commonly experience this with their favorite perfumes, cooking smells, and even their pets' scat. Should you experience the inability to smell your diffuser, or the scent throw suddenly seems mild even after freshening the scent, you are experiencing nose blindness. Simply have a secondary scent on hand to rotate out with, leave the space the diffuser is in for several hours, and smell strong scents like coffee to clear your olfactory senses.
~*~ Our images & description merely represent a fairly accurate representation of what you will receive. If you love a scent, please consider mentioning it in a review. Display pieces are not included, just your custom diffuser with pendant and chain.
2024.04.17 19:05 MjolnirPants Vintress and the Fateful Hunt
Author's Note: This story takes place after Jerry and the E-Girls.
Vintress dodged the crashing debris as best she could, running through the forest. She managed to dodge anything big enough to knock her down, make her expend some precious magic to regenerate a missing limb, or just outright kill her manifestation, but she still got peppered with enough to kill a mortal.
Her manifestation was behaving strangely. Her skin was cold to the touch, yet sweat poured out of her pores. Her heart was pounding, even faster and harder than her flight would suggest. She didn't understand why her body was doing this. It had never acted like this before.
She wondered if it was a side-effect of whatever magic had bound her into it, preventing her from leaving it or making a new manifestation. She'd never felt such magic before. She knew about the wet blanket spell, crafted by Yarm and Jane, that he had used for the first time to fight Anansi years ago. But she had been prepared for that. She had counters, as did most of the gods. This, though...
This was something else.
Whatever was causing it, it only fueled her fear. She clutched her spear, the legendary Fly-Cutter, tightly in her fist, her knuckles white. The weapon had always made her feel safe before. It was a reminder of who she was, a symbol of her power, an object that demanded respect. Men and gods alike trembled before its power.
Right now, it felt like a stick she'd picked up off the forest floor.
Vintress didn't know who or what was pursuing her. She only knew that it was implacable, unstoppable and more powerful than anything she had ever encountered before. She knew it led a small army of undivine emanations, each one existing in a form like that of Grandfather Ixlublotl. Slavering, hungry and dangerous beasts of countless legs, mouths and eyes. Alone, each one was terrifying. Perhaps not a match for a god under normal circumstances, but nothing to be taken lightly, even without whatever power had taken control of them. And they were not the sum of its forces.
Women marched forth, each one paired with an emanation. Human women, with tanned skin and long black hair and deeply lined faces that nonetheless still carried the spark of youth within them. They marched slowly, leading the emanations like howling hounds on tight leashes, each one nude, yet bathed in power. Some bore the sagging flesh of motherhood, others still had the taut skin of maidens. Each and every one had cold, dark, deep eyes that looked upon a goddess in all of her power and saw only prey.
She had barely survived the first attack, when she had not yet recognized the threat they posed. She had stood and issued a challenge, daring them to attack a goddess in all of her power. That had been a mistake.
The first strike from one of the emanations had hurled her backwards, locking her in her manifestation and squeezing down on her access to magic. She had known then that she could not fight this force. The deep thrum when that tentacle struck her had vibrated through her core. She knew that sensation. She had felt it when Tysrane lost his hand. Her first thought had been that accursed mortal, Jerry Williams. But she had seen no sign of him. Only the women and emanations, moving forth at the command of some power she could not comprehend.
She could sense it behind her, though. A being of terrible power. It drew power from pain and suffering, and it meant to turn that power on her, to seize her and feed on her own pain and suffering.
So Vintress ran as fast as her legs could carry her. The army of women and nightmarish emanations chased. And whatever commanded them hurled magic that destroyed the spirit wold behind and around her, forcing her forward, onward, herding her towards some trap she could see coming, but could not escape.
Another explosion happened behind her, spurring her on even faster. She veered through a dense copse of trees, letting the trunks catch most of the larger debris. Hot rocks and splinters smacked into her back and shoulders anyways, but she paid it no mind, knowing her manifestation would heal the injuries quickly.
The trees rushed past her. Her feet did not stumble or pause, for she knew this wood well. It was her own hunting ground, after all. Which meant she knew to where she was being chased, and though her heart fell at the thought, she dared not slow or stop, lest the cold-eyed women and their nightmarish hounds catch her.
So on she fled, running as fast as her divine legs could carry her, until the trees finally broke and the enormous vista of distant mountains, rolling hills, lakes and streams and more woods opened up before her.
She ran the hundred or so yards to the edge of the cliff and stopped, looking down. She did not believe that her manifestation could heal the injuries she would incur if she leaped off it. And she was terrified to find out what would happen to her if her manifestation died while she was bound to it with this awful magic.
The rocky scree, hundreds of feet below at the base whispered a tantalizing promise of release in her ear, but she ignored the siren's call. Instead, she scanned beyond it, looking for something, anything, that might save her from her pursuers.
Her heart skipped a beat when she spotted something. It was three figures, standing still in a field between the cliff wall and a small pond. Three figures and... Something else.
Magic flowed into her eyes and made the image grow and sharpen into clarity. That was when she gasped, and her heart fell once again.
It was him. That accursed mortal, Jerry Williams. The one who had made profane weapons, capable of killing even the gods themselves. The worst such weapon of them all was sheathed at his hip even now, it's power so strong that she could feel it, even from this far away.
But that was not the only power she felt. She sensed the divinities inside of him. Bloodlust, pain, death, secrets, dreams, time... The divinities of the missing gods. Her body began to sweat again, her hands to tremble even as her knuckles turned white, gripping Fly-Cutter. That's what had happened to them. Jerry Williams had become a god.
She looked at the other figures. She recognized one, right away. Inanna. The former goddess of love, sex and war, who had given up divinity in order to get fat with her human lover's children.
The third, she did not recognize. But Vintress knew who she was. The tan-skinned girl, around the same age as those who chased her, but with the smooth complexion and build of one who had lived a life of relative luxury in the west. All the gods knew that Williams had brought home a girl from one of the older nations, raising her as his own daughter.
And then, there was the... Thing. An inverted crucifix, upon which hung an upside down figure. His wrists and ankles were nailed to the cross, his skin criss-crossed with cuts that bled freely, leaving his emaciated form coated in blood. His mouth hung open in what Vintress knew was a permanent scream of agony. Yet there was something... Something familiar about him...
Vintress peered within, and recognized the wounds left behind by divinities torn away. With a shock, she realized who he was. Astoram. She recalled the whispers among the gods in the past few years. How a timeline mishap had brought another version into the world, taking the place of the one who had been slain at the hands of Jane, the newest goddess of knowledge and learning.
As she tried to make sense of the scene below, all three of the figures there turned their heads up. Her heart began to race even faster as she realized they had all locked eyes with her.
"Come on, Vintress," Williams said. "Don't make this worse than it needs to be." His voice was quiet, but it carried to her ears nonetheless. In it, she heard exhaustion, a grief that had been built over long years, and below all that, a simple, yet grim determination.
She looked around frantically for something, anything she could use to fight this. Only her spear and her body. A fragile, delicate body. Strong by mortal standards, no doubt. Yet it was no mortal whom she faced.
Her eyes roamed the treeline, and she saw them there. The army of cold-eyed women. The primordial, dark emanations. They stood silently and still, watching her.
It was over. She had been hunted to the end of her abilities.
A laugh broke through her lips. She realized that she should have stood and fought. She would be destroyed already, but it would have been a good death. The death of a huntress, not the death of prey. But she had fled, instead.
She looked back down, not to the terrible figures that awaited her, but to the rocks at the base of the cliff. And thus, she made her decision. Two running steps should be enough to keep her clear of the jagged wall. And then she would find out what will happen to her when her manifestation dies.
She took her steps. And then she leaped.
The air rushed past. The rocks below surged up, promising a quick, painless death.
She twisted her weight, getting her head down. She clutched Fly-Cutter, pressing its tip to her breast, angling the haft down, so it would be driven through her. She squeezed her eyes shut as the rocks approached.
Nothing happened.
After a few moments, she opened her eyes and realized, to her horror, that she was floating in mid-air, a few feet above the rocks.
"No!" she cried out.
"Yes," said Williams, approaching her with his wife, daughter and captive in tow. He walked up and then stepped easily across the skree, crouching on a boulder just a few feet from her. Her eyes blurred, her chest and cheeks burned, her throat constricted as she felt his power engulf her.
"No!" she said again. "Not like this!"
"I don't have a choice," Williams said, almost sadly. "You wouldn't give me one." He tilted his head, his eyes glossy black orbs inside his head as he looked her over.
"You've spent a lot of time in that body," he said. "There's a soul there. That's good."
"No," she sobbed.
A new figure appeared. Large and muscular, with a thick beard below a handsome face.
"Yarm!" Vintress gasped as she felt the new divinities. This was the god himself, not one of the many avatars he had become accustomed to using. "Help me! You cannot let him do this!"
"Why?" Yarm asked, his voice weighing her heart down. "I tried to work with you, Vintress. You wouldn't have it. And we can't trust you."
"We are gods!" she cried. "We are not to be lain low by mortals!"
Yarm cocked his own head. "He's not mortal," he said. And she knew he would be no help.
"Are you ready?" Inanna asked.
"I am," Williams replied. He turned to his daughter. "Bring them down," he said. She nodded and looked up.
A moment later, one of the cold-eyed women appeared, an emanation by her side. She floated down, and then looked from the daughter to Williams.
"Man oliha xoham şud?" she asked. She wondered if she would become a goddess.
"ʙale," Williams replied with an affirming nod. She nodded and straightened her back. The emanation began to pace around her, and then the black mist that surrounded it began to flow into the woman. Vintress watched in horror as the emanation began to fade, feeding the mists that swirled around and into the mortal figure.
A shadow shifted, and she looked to find Grandfather Ixlublotl there. Her heart sank even further. Even if Yarm changed his mind, the two of them could not defeat Grandfather.
A large, heavy tentacle reached out, coming to rest gently on the woman's head. It stroked her hair, almost affectionately as the last of the black mists flowed into her.
"D A U G H T E R," a terrible, ancient, powerful voice rumbled, filling the air with eldritch echoes of ancient magics.
"This will hurt," Inanna said as Williams raised his hands.
Vintress screamed. First in terror. And then in agony.
----
She lay on the rocks, a naked, battered woman. A fragile mortal, surviving only at the whims of fate and her captors.
"Khatol, Goddess of the hunt," Williams intoned as the new goddess examined her body. She smiled at him.
"Man heç goh faromūş namekunam, ki in korro ʙaroi man kī kardaast," she said. She would never forget that he had done this for her.
Williams walked over and took her head in his hands. "Man tanho mexostam, ki ʙeştar kor kunam," he said. He only wished he could do more.
She kissed him. Not an eager kiss, driven by mortal needs. A simple, chaste, yet affectionate kiss.
"Go on," Williams bade her. "You have a job to do."
She nodded and floated into the air, wreathed in divinity. With a flash, she vanished.
"What are we going to do with this?" the daughter asked, hefting Fly-Cutter. Vintress reached out a trembling arm, but she lacked the strength to rise up.
"Give it back," Williams said. "She'll need it. A naked woman, alone in these lands... She shouldn't be unarmed."
The daughter nodded and placed it down next to Vintress. Inanna approached and began to produce items and set them down, as well.
Clothing; pants, a shirt, a jacket, socks and thick, brown boots. A pack that could be worn on the back. Bottles of water. Plastic bags of food, the type the mortal militaries ate. Tools that Vintress didn't recognize. She packed much of it into the pack.
"This is enough to get by on for a week," she said.
"Fuck you," Vintress spat. It was preposterous that these mortals would violate her so, and then expect her to be grateful for the faintest hint of charity. But Inanna merely shrugged.
"Take it or not. There's no place for you in Valhalla. Khatol will not let you into her afterlives, nor will Ixy. If you die, your fate will be worse. I would take it, and try to live a good life. To earn a better afterlife. But you do you, cupcake."
She straightened and Vintress watched them leave.
After they were gone, she finally had to strength to sit up. Despite her vitriol, she found the water and food, and she ate.
When the first howling of the wolves sounded, heralding the setting sun, she snatched up Fly-Cutter and held it close.
She needed shelter.
2024.04.16 23:30 Fair-Diver-2221 Fnf all stars with chikn nughit characters concept, since I don't know how to draw... (warning :long)
So, I had this idea while watching the song all stars.. Warning for gore concepts, a little bit... I will let my imagination fly with this post.. So put on a sitbelt everyone...
So for everyone who isn't familiar of what I am talking about, all stars is a song from a mod of fnf (Friday night funking) center around the idea of Mario but scary.. And is (technically) the last song... The recommendation is to go watch it so you would have a better idea of what I am talking about.. And my mind combined this concept with the lore of chikn nuggit in a little bit dark way.. With the whole chikn being a god and all that...
The song now will take place in a ever twisting background... Changing from all the colors backgrounds to the most detailed ones... Iscream will take place of boyfriend and fwemch fwy the place of girlfriend... The first phase is going to be against chikn... Who is floating in the air.. Shape-shifting himself and the background.. The context of this would be that this is chikn accidently loosing control of his powers and just changing everything... While this power being released was happening chikn would had accidently kill chee and vanish slushi from existence... Thing that only make him loose more control of his powers... The song will continue on, with chikn seeing really sad about that.... Then we enter phase two... When it seen like fwemch fwy and Iscream were beginning to calm him down, bezel's hand reach out and grabs fwemch fwy.. Now the background will change to an giant fast food restaurant like Macdonald and such.... Bezel being the one singing now.. Standing tall at the distance..... Iscream will be standing on an ice cream on top of a table. Chikn would be in bezel's shoulder in this phase. In the original part of this song it was a jumpscare.. Now bezel will also give a jumpscare based on the short of bezel eating a cupcake.... (with his hidden mouth).. Finishing up bezel's part he would change his poses.. Now seemingly talking to chikn and given him an idea... Chikn seems exited to try out his idea, seems to concentrate and make an floating cheese burger box appear.. The box opens and is the previously mentioned chee's body... Chikn floats and his eyes shoots beems (like in that one short were he tries to remember his past) and a type of cloud covers chee's body, once the cloud dissipates Chee is remade a new... Although she came out a little wrong... And so it begans phase 2.5... Chee's poses will be based on those shorts were she is terrifying... Making reference to the short of "pupils" "you can do anything" "what's under chee's hat" "Chee also haves paws" and "the pickle on her head" (that in turn is also a reference to her beta design) While Chee sings.. Chikn makes a floating hot sause bottle... Flights down and brings hawt saws... And for him I should give an explanation... His appearance will be based on a theory I had a time ago about how the lore would go... That basically I said that fwemch fwy trying to distract bezel on figuring out that chikn is a god, they would had the idea to give godly powers to hawt saws to make bezel think the god from the prophecy is actually hawt saws and not chikn.. And hawt saws would had accept it just to help chikn... In this version of that theory is that the plan would had backfired horribly... So hawt saws appearance would be based on being damaged by fwench fwy's powers... His hair with a little purple flame (seeing in the video were chikn is chilly and fwench fwy shoots purple fire that turns him into an actual nugget) his face stunt by bees ( reference to the first interaction between fwench fwy and hawt saws) and pose with hawt saws eyes glowing just like chikns, being a reference to him also being infiuced with godly powers he can't control very well.. And an alived stuff animal in his right cheek (reference to an older episode were Iscream was making an demonic symbol and fwench fwy added sparkles that made the cycle summon little stuff animals that attacked Iscream) While the turns of hawt saws ends chikn floating in the background flight down.. And soda floats in the air... Chikn grabs sody pop and tossed him on top of it.. And for sody I don't have any cool references.. He is just sad and confused... For not being able to find slushi... For the badly injured hawt saws and the terrifying Chee... While sody turns plays... The placement of chee's box and hawt saws swaps... Now hawt saws being in the middle.. Also chikn flights down and grabs cofi and tossed her in with Chee.. In this turn chickn sings to hawt saws trying to calm him down.... But actually scaring him.. Chee singing to cofi who is very confused on why Chee is like that... And chikns tries to make slushi anew... But she came out as a ghost... Ghost slushi sings to sody who's is very scare.. Next turn when all they should sing together.. Chikn floats and change everything... For this turn everything returned to normal... Chickn is talking happily to hawt saws... Chee and cofi are flirting with each other, and slushi is giving sody pop a piggy back ride... The background also returns to the white void.. Until the turns ends and Chee and slushi disappear... Chikn falls down tired on how much power he had to used to bring everything back to normal for at least some moments... Now.. Is the moment were they sing in order from right to left... Now sody, hawt saws and cofi look doubtful.... Clearly had enjoyed when everything came back to normal for a few moments... Then all sing in unison with a more angry and defensive expression... Standing up to defend chikn... While he rest... Since they saw how he could turn back things to normal... They decide to be in his side and confront Iscream... Phase two ends with Iscream moving the three of them out of the way and tried to kill chikn. Phase three begans with Iscream now injured... An giant bezel in the background.. And fwench fwy... Floating on front of chikn... Now also protecting him... The implications here is not that fwench fwy was brained wash... More like bezel convince them that chikn being alived would return things back to normal eventually... Even when those new "Chee" and "slushi" are more like a replica of them than the original them.... I have no more to say about this phase, it really gives me less room to put more things in here... Just an fatal confrontation bewten fwench fwy and Iscream... Near the end of this section both of them transform into their real forms and fwench fwy ends up accidently killed by scream... Now for the little cutscene to the phase 4 it obviously going to be change... I don't know the exact wording of it, but basically chikn questioning Iscream why he is trying to stop him... That he can put together what is broken (in this past showing something similar of what happened to Chee, with the cloud covering fwench fwy's body and then remaking them) that this is better in the end, and so... Why is them on his way? Beggining phase 4... Now for chikns final form it would be a mixture of many boxes and foods that makes a figure similar to him.. A chicken nugget box as the head, mustard and catsup bottles as his shoulders etc... As many would already know.. In this phase the villain sings with the voices of the other characters of this mod... In the version chikn instead would just continue singing on his normal voice while the other character pops out of the food representing them to sing as well... The characters that will sing on this part will be the secondary characters, background characters and some OCs, with all the character on chikns body... The death at the end instead of being on a spike it will be based on a short... Finnaly chikn's box opens and he seems to operate this body like a big mecha...an dialogue bubble with pop out saying "the floor is lava" Iscream would look at their feet and realized that he is actually burning.. Leaving them just be a pile of dust (this is a reference to an short were this actually happened)
And that would be my whole concept.. I just scream at the dark not expecting that nothing would come out of this, but I really wanted to share it... Of somebody decides to make fanart based on this that would be cool
2024.03.28 22:38 EndoPlushQuota Taking Inventory: Character Encyclopedia / Ultimate Guide
Taking Inventory: Character Encyclopedia / Ultimate Guide
Here's a list of oddities found while digging through the character encyclopedia and the back of the ultimate guide:
Literally page 1 is a guide to locations:
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza: The Main Location. (Same building each time?) (FFP)
Fredbear's Family Diner: Is shown in "other games" after the FNAF 2 mention. (FFD)
Fazbear's Frights: Recreation of a previous location (FF)
Circus Baby's: Was actually Fazbear-owned off the bat (unsurprising, considering it was pitched to a Fazbear Exec). (CB)
Bedroom: The child is having nightmares. And those nightmares are from a visit to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, not Fredbear's.
Chica's Magic Rainbow: Doesn't have a page, but is shown with the toy animatronics on this page. (Wait, does that canonize it?)
Freddy: Every game but SL. [Immediate question: How is this counted? Normal Freddy isn't shown in FNAF 6, even in minigames. Is it that he's on the logo?]. Showtime is canon, Scott just couldn't cram it into HW in a way he liked in time. Mystery Handprint.
Toy Freddy: Appears in FNAF 3 and 4? 3 I get, he's probably in the box of toy animatronic parts. But 4? Don't tell me. These stupid idiots
https://preview.redd.it/5uyp3arna5rc1.png?width=150&format=png&auto=webp&s=84343a0ce57cc17ab0dfbe22db4e122ed0c0c360
technically count. I really don't want to engage in the rant of '87 here. Also its said he only attacks when upset by something.
Golden Freddy: Every Game except 6 and HW. (Wait... where in SL?). You can make him appear with 1987 on the custom menu. (Trying to contain the rant of '87 so hard right now). An explicitly withered version appears in FNAF 2. Resembles Fredbear, but origins unknown.
Shadow Freddy: Appears in 2,3,4,6, HW (Where in 4 and HW?). Unknown, purple version of golden Freddy. May or may not be important mythologically. Calls out the being torn apart in Follow Me.
Phantom Freddy: Appears in 3, HW, SB? (Was this on like a random poster in SB???). Burned, Similarities to Golden and Shadow Freddy.
Nightmare Fredbear: Appears in SB, Stomach Mouth, FFD, can be seen in the form of a plushie? (Wait, is that confirming that he's the plushie???). Mostly Sympathetic.
Fredbear: Not actually in the encyclopedia. Definitely a springlock, Henry's first (known) creation. Credited in FNAF 3 minigame (Stage01?)
Nightmare: Dark Mode Nightmare Fredbear, note the yellow, visible endoskeleton.
Funtime Freddy: Appears in 6 and SB (blob). Voice Mimicry. He also has a stomach-claw.
Rockstar Freddy: Appears in SB.
Lefty: Appears in SD??? Always shushes you first.
Party Freddy: Mouth and Eyes outlined in Red. Pizza Party Exclusive.
Dreadbear: Franken Freddy. Toy animatronic toes, but nightmare animatronic fingers.
Woodland Toy Freddy: Not even an animatronic? Just a haunted tree? The crap?
Freddy Frostbear: See above, just an ice sculpture come to life? (I'm going to stop bringing up the definitely-not-robots from SD now, unless something else is there.)
Lonely Freddy: Body swaps. This has been happening a lot.
Twisted Freddy: Built by William to kill Charlie. Springlocks inside the stomach-mouth. Succeeds. Illusion Disks.
Bonnie: All but SL and 6
Toy Bonnie: Appears in 3 and 4 like toy Freddy. First to become active. Ego Problem. Counts in a weird order??? (Do.... we ever hear him speak? or is 6, 7, 5, 3, 4, 2, 1 supposed to mean something?)
RWQFSFASXC (Shadow Bonnie): Someone smacked the keyboard funny. Rumored to be made of dark remnant. Doesn't obey laws of physics, like golden freddy and shadow freddy.
Bon-Bon: Puppet or hand? Appears in 3 and 6 Randomly? This was put in a weird order. Also is labeled a she, but bonnet is the first girl bonnie variation? Calms down Funtime Freddy.
Jack-O-Bonnie: "with that, you could burn the house down", completely silent
Easter Bonnie (of all things): Wooden statue for artists? Found in a different candy shop. Implied either owned by Fazbear, or rented out by CBEaR.
Spring Bonnie: Called out as explicit Springlock Suit. Appears in 3, 4, 6, UCN, HW, SB. Fredbear is the other Springlock. One of Henry's first creations.
Chica: All but SL and 6. Hasn't eaten Mr. Cupcake yet.
Toy Chica: Appears in 3 and 4 (why is the tiny toy chica missing her beak?). Bloodthirsty and weird.
Withered Chica: "I was the first, I have seen everything", followed by "Origin Story".
Phantom Chica: Explicitly FNAF 1 Chica. Also Burned.
Funtime Chica: Isn't a funtime from SL (6 and UCN). Attention seeking.
Scorching Chica: Only core character to get a scorching variation.
Twisted Chica: Never bothered to exist.
Foxy: All but SL. Has his own stage. Generally in disrepair. Doesn't join in on showtime.
Withered Foxy: Mangle was his remake. Not to different from usual. Not fooled by the mask. Appears in 3?
Funtime Foxy: Funtime Freddy Color Scheme. Appears in 6. The Ringmaster of the circus. Night Vision, Scent Generation, Voice Playback, Anchor
Lolbit: Recolored Funtime Foxy. Just a screen saver.
Rockstar Foxy: Sometimes Nice, Sometimes not.
Burnt Foxy: FNAF 1 Foxy, but on fire.
Blacklight Foxy: Couldn't bother to exist.
Puppet (Marionette): Prize corner of the "Relaunched FFP". Slenderman reference. Who's pulling the strings? The origins of the music box theme are called out seperately.
Phantom Puppet: Burned and Decayed. Apparition of the normal puppet on Cam 08. Never comes back after FNAF 3.
Shadow Puppet: "Cheer up, it might never happen"? Mangle's Quest. Weeps gray tears
Balloon Boy: Appears in 6, SB.
JJ: Also in 6
Shadow Balloon Boy: Lost Balloon. BB air adventure. The Sunken Place. Black Silhouettes of Balloon Boy with Gray tears falling from their eyes.
Dee Dee: Appears in FNAF World (the only one in the book!) FNAF World NPC, an Online RPG now offline (wasn't FNAF world offline?). [Like is this the new FNAF World Lore? It was an in-universe video game? The Ultimate Guide sure likes that idea.]
Endo-02: Seen in the blob
Nightmare Endo: Exclusive to Vent Repair Ennard (Circus Baby), Tied to Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare.
Yenndo: Looks like Funtime Freddy. Origin undiscussed. Acts like golden freddy.
Molten Freddy: Appears in SB. Damaged Ennard with Funtime Freddy in Control.
Glitchtrap: Is a computer Virus. Appears in SB. Purely digital. Goalis to merge with you, take over your body, and enter the real world.
Springtrap: Appears in 4, SL, and in Ennard's Vent Repair. Is definitely posessed by William. He's not actually alive in there.
Dark Springtrap: Also Appears in SL, in a cutscene. Wait, is this supposed to be the same appearance as normal Springtrap? Does Springtrap appear elsewhere in SL?
Toxic Springtrap: Actually purple. The body mutated too.
The Curse: Weirdly specific name (first to not mention the original character). "No escaping the curse". Lion Aztec Warrior. Aztecs.... don't have lions in their mythology. They have jaguars.
Whatever. You don't just drop a weird external-mythology reference like this, give it a super vague standout name and give it to only two characters without trying to make a point.
Let's assume the goal here was an Aztec jaguar warrior, but like, DLZ couldn't afford enough jaguar heads, so Lions substituted. Those guys are usually elite warriors, usually involved in killing off certain human sacrifices (Aztecs sure love their human sacrifices) in gladiatorial combat.
Jaguars are also affiliated with a particular Aztec diety, Tezcatlipoca, god of invisibility, darkness, night in general, hurricanes (coincidence with the setting name?), conflict, sorcery. Likes human sacrifice, go figure. Affiliated with obsidian mirrors, and the color black. Rival to Quetzalcoatl. Fed his foot to a massive evil crocodile as bait. Became the first sun (see Serpent Mangle).
Basically, the bad guy. Unsurprising.
Plushtrap: Presumably a springtrap toy.
Frost Plushtrap: Can be seen with frostbear and frostbite balloon boy on a pinball machine in SB. (Uncredited)
Circus Baby: CBPW was a place and gas leaks were blamed for its immediate cancellation. "reincarnated" in UCN. Yes, is Scrap Baby.
Plushbabies: Based on Scrap Baby in Blacklight Mode
Elanor: Resembles Baby. Feeds off of pain and suffering of others (agony). Credited in 1:35 am. Can shapeshift via pendant.
Ballora: Appears in 6? Afraid of the scooping room.
Minireena: Appears in HW Dark Rooms occasionally.
Biddybab: Appearances in HW and SB are just cameos.
Mangle: A Friendlier-looking redesign of Foxy. Most dangerous when on the ceiling. Appears in 3 and 4.
Serpent Mangle: Literally holds the sun and moon. The sun and moon were the result of a competition between two gods. Two-Headed nature. Symbol of Quetzalcoatl.
Bruh, you don't just name drop a pre-existing, semi-obscure mythology on explicitly only two characters, one of whom is the main villain.
That's it, we're going on a Wikipedia mythology tangent. From what I can tell, this is the story they're referring to:
Basically, the Aztec's believed we're currently on Sun #5. Creation myth for sun #5 is that some god has to be burned alive to become the sun (Aztecs sure love their sacrifices). Two candidates showed up. The one who was the original favorite (the rich and powerful Tēcciztēcatl) hesitated, and the other candidate (the Humble Nanahuatzin) jumped into the fire first, becoming Sun #5. Tēcciztēcatl, feeling embarrassed, jumped in as well, becoming a second sun #5. That was too bright for everyone, so the gods threw a rabbit at Tēcciztēcatl, which somehow turned him into the moon, and left a mark you can see from Earth.
Oh, and then all the other gods also got sacrificed to get the sun to actually move, thus saving humanity from being baked alive. The End!
Love the themes of someone humble and someone proud burning alive together, and for some reason a rabbit's literally thrown at one of them. Oh, and they wind up as a SUN (orange, generally cheerful) and MOON (purple, definitely evil) after the fire.
Oh, and the Mangle Costume Relevance:
Quetzalcoatl was apparently Sun #2 but got tired of his job and just.... quit. He also seems to regularly restart humanity each time they get entirely killed off in humorous ways. From everyone being devoured by jaguars, to being turned into monkeys and dying in a hurricane, to getting the-sun-is-a-deadly-laser'd, to being turned into fish [sea bonnie lore? lol].
What this has to do with mangle frankly eludes me.
Stitchwraith: Created by Taggart. Strongest emotion is agony. Conflict with Elanor who is the source of agony and wants to spread suffering.
Mediocres (Group): Budget Tech, Not Fazbear or circus baby. Definitely knock-offs. However, they appear on a bunch of arcade cabinets and such in Security Breach. So they're probably fazbear-owned by now.
Mr. Hippo: Knows what's in the box, lol. Good luck getting the info out of him.
Orville Elephant: Never Brings up Mr. Hippo, despite being supposedly good friends. Rarer, more expensive.
Nedd Bear: Copyright Avoidance, More entertaining, liability. Even has a knock-off of Freddy in Space to his name.
Roxxanne Wolf: Glamrocks are cool, sophisticated, polished pieces of engineering. Under Vanny's control. Never build anything over the ruins of a haunted building, kids.
Montgomery Gator: Bonnie was last seen going to gator golf, was replaced by Monty. Also Monty is beefing with Freddy for control of the band. Mind you, they're robots. Special Delivery Appearance.
Trash and the Gang: You could build a better animatronic yourself.
Old Man Consequences: Uncredited FNAF World Appearance (despite the description literally mentioning it as the "FNAF World RPG"). Unknown Type. "Reeling you in". Urges players to rest and avoid digging too deep.
Sun: Enjoys engaging with children. Gets kind of intense about it. Tries to keep the lights on (for good reason)
Moon: Jekyll and Hyde. Threat to Children. Punishes children. Sleepy-time candy is very ominous.
Music Man: The Encyclopedia has no clue what to make of this design.
Human Heads: 3 of them, one sleeping.
HandUnit: Generally Unreliable.
Twisted Wolf: Appears in FNAF 6 and UCN (probably the toy chica cutscene)
William Afton (Scraptrap): Credited in EVERY GAME. MORE THAN EVEN FREDDY FAZBEAR HIMSELF. (Where exactly is he in 1?), Classified as Human [at first].
Burntrap: Sure looks like Will, plus Will is credited in this game (and appearently lived on via glitchtrap?)
The Blob: Ennard, but bigger.
Crying Child: He dislikes Fredbear's Family Diner due to some trauma. Is the one being terrorized by Nightmares.
Elizabeth Afton: William didn't want this to happen (duh)."She'll never grow up, not now".
Charloette Emily: Credited with Stitchwraith Stingers. FNAF 3 only gains lore significance when happiest day is correct. They were released. Sticks around while children remain trapped in these metal prisons.
Henry: Is cassette man. Duh. "It's all part of the plan"
Vanessa/Vanny : Kind of implies they are the same character. Corrupted by Glitchtrap.
Gregory: No Records. Also children have been going missing at the pizzaplex (wow, it's FNAF). The Ice cream ending is the good ending.
Uninteresting/No New Info: Withered Freddy, Nightmare Freddy, Helpy, Glamrock Freddy, Blacklight Freddy Freddles, Shamrock Freddy, Firework Freddy, VR Toy Freddy, Black Ice Frostbear, Aeronaut Toy Freddy, Withered Bonnie, Nightmare Bonnie, Bonnet, Rockstar Bonnie, Neon Bonnie, Chocolate Bonnie, System Error Toy Bonnie, Boulder Toy Bonnie, Black Heart Bonnie, Sunken Toy Bonnie, Sea Bonnie, Twisted Bonnie, Nightmare Chica, Jack O Chica, Rockstar Chica, Neon Chica, Glamrock Chica, Highscore Toy Chica, Liberty Chica, Catrina Toy Chica, Phantom Foxy, Grimm Foxy, Radioactive Foxy, Ringmaster Foxy, Big Bad Foxy, Yarg Foxy, Nightmarionne, Security Puppet, Phantom Balloon Boy, Nightmare Balloon Boy, XOR (Shadow Dee Dee), Swamp Balloon Boy, Frostbite Balloon Boy, Jetpack Balloon Boy, Lucky Boy, Endo-01, Ennard, Flamethrower Endo, Dark Water Endo, Clown Springtrap, Pirahna Plushtrap, Scrap Baby, 8-Bit Baby, Broiler Baby, Heartsick Baby, Arctic Ballora, Clockwork Ballora, Clockwork Minireena, Electrobab, Phantom Mangle, Nightmare Mangle, Magician Mangle, Mr. Cupcake, Happy Frog, Pigpatch, El Chip, Little Joe, Egg Baby, Vendor Bots
2024.03.25 05:24 Bonjonsie The Jonsie Burrows: Help Wanted 2 Part 3
Why are you here?
Previous part: 2.5.
Finally, we getting deeper into this game! I didn't expect such a slow start to this, but now, I'm getting back into the groove of things and we already established the central hub world so things will be moving quickly now.
For those new to this series or who have lost which part or place they're on, check out the The Jonsie Burrows: Help Wanted 2: Tables of contents to find where you want to go! If you haven't seen any of my stuff before then...
Hello, this is something you might have missed in Ruin.
Previously Post Interesting things:
  1. Our main character, who's popularly presumed to be Cassie's dad, is already wearing the Security Mask before we even start the game. This means Glitchtrap has access to their mind and body. As for what that entails...
  2. Help Wanted 2's AMask-on version of the FNAF6 Pizzaria might be based on Micheal's canonical look for it near the end of Pizzaria Simulator.
  3. After completing each minigame, a party hat, plate, and cup will appear on the table next to you. Whose party are we attending as a guest?
Now back to our unregularly scheduled series!
"Good good for you!" Helpy exclaimed on the projector screen.
Clicking on the Staff Only folder and pulling up its window once again, you noticed that one of the previously locked folders, the one right next to Cold Storage, was now replaced with another file, First Aid: Pig Patch.
Looks like completing all your tasks is going to take a while if all these locked folders contain files. Good thing you've got a lot of time on your hands. Speaking of the time...
Your eyes glance at the clock on the computer before they move back toward the new task, and then they immediately snap back to the clock as confusion fills your being.
The time was exactly 12 0' clock. (I beg your pardon, what?!)
The problem with that is that it was 12 before you started Cold Storage and now that you completed it, it was still 12 am.
(This is giving me an interesting theory, but I wanna see if the time changes when the next minigame is completed to tell it.)
Maybe the clock was frozen, or maybe the computer was glitched, either way, you had to put that aside for now and focus on the next task. You clicked on First Aid: Pig Patch and watched a new window pop up, showing you what this game is about. (I totally forgot that this series of minigames was also in Staff Only.)
"Learn common medical procedures from the safety of Pizza Place training booth."
You clicked on TUTORIAL and your eyes were covered in darkness before appearing in the void once more. The instructions floating in the darkness gave more details on what you were actually going to be doing.
"Use the scanner to see what's wrong with Helpy" (This is missing a period in the game. Is it supposed to, or is it an error by the Devs?)
"Look at the Diagnostic Monitor to see what's wrong with Helpy. Look at the Television to see how to fix it." (It? Why not he? Hmm... Was Helpy ever referred to as a male? But still, why refer to him as an it. Unless we're fixing something we're not seeing in the real world. Or maybe I'm looking too deep into this.)
"Don't make too much noise! If Helpy gets loud, quiet him with the gas mask. If the TV malfunctions, use the TV remote."
Alright, nothing sounded too complicated. You reach out to your right and press the button to start the minigame, and darkness blinds you again.
"Welcome to First Aid." A feminine robotic voice said as took a look at the new area you're in. "This training session simulates actual emergency situations you will encounter on a day-to-day basis." It sounded monotone to your ears.
Two closed vents with a small light above them were on the walls of either side of you, while an operation table in front of closed double blue curtains made up the view in front of you. A yellow breathing mask hung from an up straight pole emerging from the table and labeled with words, "Calming Gas." (Hmm.)
A CRT TV monitor was on your right side and a little bit away from you, sitting on what might have been a black 3-tier shelf. Next to it was a Mr. Cupcake theme candy bucket that was sat on something you couldn't make out and was almost overflowing with candy and Fazbear-brand candy.
Directly to your right was a green cart with four colored spray bottles and a medical supply bag with a modified medic symbol with a pizza logo in the middle. Further to your right and behind the green shelf were stacks of cardboard boxes, then, the wall with the three child drawings on it and the big vent.
The papers that the child or children drew on seemed to be copies of the same paper as all of them said "GET WELL SOON!" at the top of the sheets. The highest-placed one was also the closest to the vent and was one that someone colored in the letters with red for "GET", blue for "Well", and yellow for "SOON!" with four black stick figures underneath the words.
There were two noticeable figures in this drawing, one on the left, colored in yellow with a right arm that turned into a zig-zag near the end of it and posed as if to throw whatever the zig-zag was supposed to be at the figure on the right. (I'm not too sure of the accuracy of this description, but that's what it looks like to me.) An unfinished stick figure stood behind this one with a black top hat.
The other striking stick figure was on the right and was colored in red. It was a girl with what looked like shoulder-length hair, wearing a dress, and holding a red balloon. Behind the girl was another unfinished stick figure, that looked to be holding either a horn or a party cone hat. Judging by the girl with the balloon, it might've been a party hat.
The next drawing was underneath the first one and featured only two stick figures this time, but it was hard to tell what it was about as everything below the "GET WELL SOON!" phrase was difficult to see.
But from what you could make out, the girl with the red dress was back again, but this time on the left, she was drawn as if lying on the floor or leaning back with the top part of her face scribbled out with black along with something next to her head. Strangely, next to her head, was a heart symbol. (What in the world is going on here?! Are these drawings hinting at some kind of story? But about what?)
There was a new stick figure present that wasn't in the last drawing. This one was colored blue and was wearing a black cap and had a black mustache. (Blue! Is this character us?! No, wait let's not jump the gun.) The figure was facing the girl in red and holding something towards her. It looked like a flashlight and combined with the other black scribble, it looked like the artist was trying to signify light being shone on the girl in red. (A cop? No. Maybe?) Behind the man in blue legs was another heart.
Shifting you're position a bit and leaning forward, you noticed that there was actually a third figure and that they were colored pink. But more surprisingly, you recognize this figure with black buttons and a black top hat, it's Helpy. He lay on the ground beneath both figures with his head beneath the man in blue and feet beneath the girl in red. He is drawn with a frown and Xs for eyes to represent that he's dead. (what?!)
There were some letters scrawled above Helpy's feet and next to the girl in red and went right over her. To the best of your ability, you saw that the word began with an H and had two Ps in it. Happy? Happy Birthday? or maybe Happy and some kind of holiday? Whatever it was trying to say was lost on you. (What does it say?!)
The last drawing was next to both drawings and had the WELL from the GET WELL SOON! phrase scrabbled out in black leaving only GET SOON! as the message. There was only one and nothing else drawn on this paper. You struggled to see this figure as it was just as blurry as the second one, but it had bunny ears and a round head. (Is that BURNTRAP! It looks like his head with two black pits for eyes. No, wait, hold on.)
Shifting your position once more, you were finally able to make out the mysterious figure. It was the girl in red that had appeared in the last two drawings, wearing a bunny mask. (ITS VANNY?!)
Oh, Joy! These three drawings are about Vanny! Or could it be about Cassie since she's wearing red, no, the events of Ruin haven't happened yet? Maybe Scrapbaby? No, the twin-tailed hairstyle isn't the same on both sides. It must be Vanny! But what does it mean? The color red hasn't been associated with her before, so why now? This is exciting!
When I first saw these drawings while typing this out, I dismissed them as just children drawing number 45 as we have seen plenty of drawings like this in many different games, and all of them except Ruin's had no lore relevance. Then again, I haven't checked every game, so maybe they do.
But still, when I was able to make out that Helpy was there and was dead, that the girl in red was a recurring character in these drawings, and that it ended with her wearing a bunny mask. I knew for a fact that these drawings were really important to the lore, somehow. This was not what I was expecting to find in this room.
But what does this all mean? Let's put the Vanny accusation aside for a second and make sure we're not jumping to conclusions. Is there any human character in this series that has been associated with the color red before? I'm drawing a complete blank right now on anyone besides the kid inhabiting Foxy from the movie.
Maybe someone from the TalesBooks? Oh joy, that's gonna be a pain to search for. If any of you own a TalesBook, could ya do me a favor and see if any character is noted as being dressed in red or holding a red balloon, preferably a girl. This might be a long shot, but since the Mimic has been brought into the games, there's a slight chance that another character can be brought over too.
But back to this potentially being any other character. Honestly, I can't think of any character being associated with a rabbit mask besides Vanny, William, and Cassie. William, we can cross out simply because purple is his color, and not because William in a red dress is an image that should never exist. Cassie, on the other hand, dresses in red and has the Security Mask which is a bunny mask.
But again, as I mentioned before, it's too early in the timeline for Cassie to be used in drawings like this as the events of Ruin simply haven't yet. Yeah, Vanny, Glitchtrap, and the Mimic could be in the process of setting up the trap for Cassie right now and the drawings could be a hint to future events. But the drawings paint a completely different picture than what happens in Ruin. So much so, that it is impossible to be connected to it.
So what exactly is going on in these drawings?
Let's break it down.
The first drawing, now that I'm looking at it with this new info, actually gives a clue about something in the "GET WELL SOON!" that appears at the top of every page. The colored-in words correspond to characters in all three drawings.
"GET" is red which is defined by the girl in red. "WELL" is blue which we see represented by the man in blue. And lastly is "SOON!", which is in yellow and is illustrated with the man in yellow.
Both the man in yellow and the girl in red are in the first drawing with the man in blue nowhere to be seen. The girl in red, who seems to be the main character of these drawings, is on the right, with brown hair, and is holding a red balloon which is the only time we see it in these drawings.
The man in yellow, who is just like the man in blue, is featured only once in these drawings and is positioned on the left as if to throw something at the red balloon. I really can't tell you what he's holdings, it can be boomerang or something else. But not a lot of things come to mind that are zig-zag in shape.
Although I did have a thought that he might be a ringmaster of sorts with a whip because of the coattails-like things the artist gave the stick figure. I don't know, this might have been some sort of Halloween party or something. But just like what he's holding, his outfit is difficult to make a guess at.
Whatever it is he's holding, we can presumably say that it popped the red balloon as we never see it again after this drawing. Or maybe I'm misinterpreting what the man in yellow is actually doing in the drawing. Still, rather than standing straight up like the other drawn stick figures, the man in yellow is noticeably leaning back and has one arm outward as if to aim while the other arm is backward and ready to launch whatever he's holding. That seems like the best possible reading of the man in yellow's actions.
But what about the other figures in black? Could black stick figures be irrelevant people by the artist? I can't think of any connections these figures might have to anybody in this franchise besides the top-hat guy being related to a Freddy character. So for now, stick figures drawn in black will be considered not important to the artist. But that means the opposite is true too. The colored figures are important to the artist.
Who the man in yellow is though, is a mystery to me. Time to go searching through YouTube videos for any people in yellow. Annnd there's nothing, absolutely nothing at all! Not a single person, in this entire series, background or otherwise, wears yellow! (The movie doesn't count.) Fun Fazfact: Green is by far the most worn color in this series.
I'm kinda shocked that Scott doesn't use yellow clothing at all for characters, even background characters. Then again, yellow carries a certain weight in this series. Like purple, so I guess Scott can't just use those colors willy-nilly without lessening the weight behind those colors.
So! No clue who this man in yellow is supposed to represent. Unless they're a TalesBook character, which if they're, I'll leave that up to guys to figure out that out and tell me. Of course, there's always the option that this is a new character that hasn't appeared yet.
That just leaves the red balloon as the last thing we possibly connect to something. Which is way too many things.
You've got Balloon Boy, his BB's air adventure, and BBworld arcade counterparts. FNAF 2's restaurant balloons, The Happiest Day minigame's red balloons, the FNAF 4 Fredbear's family diner's red balloons, Pizzeria Simulator's Balloon barrel minigame and restaurant balloons, and UCN's red balloons. Help Wanted's hub world, Hard Nightmare BB's Dark Rooms and Pizza Party red balloons, and Dreadbear's Pirate Ride. Security Breach's Superstar Daycare, Endo Daycare, Ruin's Foxy Log Ride, and Roxy's Party Garage.
Whoo, that was a lot to look through. I'm surprised that the Pizzaplex doesn't have many plain red balloons in it considering its massive size and being what it is. But as you can see, that's too many red balloon appearances and all of them are little more than background fluff and given no importance in all these games.
So perhaps the red balloon itself has no grand importance in these pictures.
Moving on to the more interesting second drawing, we get some more things to chew on regarding the story being told through these drawings.
The girl in red is back, this time on the left side of the paper, and is on the ground? It's difficult to say what she's doing or what position she's in, but she's definitely not standing up straight like she previously was in the first drawing.
The top part of her head is scribbled out, at least from what I can tell. There's another scribble line near her head but it's coming from a flashlight. but above that is a heart symbol.
Here we have the man in blue making his first and last appearance on the right side of the page. Again, from what I can tell, he has a black mustache, is wearing a black cap, and is pointing a flashlight at the girl in red. His back is turned to the viewer and is holding the flashlight with his left hand and has his right arm outward.
Something that I'm now just noticing is that he's positioned between the girl in red and Helpy in the drawing.
Speaking of Helpy, it's strange how he suddenly here in these drawings, but before we speculate on why, let's see what we can get from the drawing about him.
As I noted before, he has a frown and Xs for his eye, meaning that he is dead. Mostly because of X for eyes then the frown as crossed-out eyes are used to convey that something is dead or out cold in cartoons. Though here, I'm leaning on a dead interpretation of it as that's the most commonly use of it.
I'm not sure if it says anything about the artist, but they did bother to draw Helpy's stubby legs even though they gave him stick arms. Maybe they thought stick legs didn't look right? Who knows. Finally, right above his head and behind the man in blue's legs is another heart.
Now, let's speculate on this!
First, I want to talk about these hearts in the drawing. (Slight interruption, but I finally found the drawings in better quality! I'll talk about the new info I got from them after this.)
Hearts, of course, symbolize love or great affection. But why did the artist put them here? I think the placement of the hearts tells us why. The girl in red and Helpy, both have hearts next to their heads, meaning this love and great affection is for each other.
So the girl in red and Helpy know each other and love each other. Hmm... this means they had to have known each other before Helpy's death here unless it was love at first sight kind of thing but that's kinda...
Anyway, Helpy is dead, but the girl in red is definitely not. But she shows no heartbreak over his death as the heart symbol above her head is intact instead of showing any cracks in it like a heartbreak symbol would. Does this mean that Helpy is just knocked out or playing dead? He does have a heart above his head too meaning his still alive to love. But that also could be the artist trying to connect the girl in red to Helpy through them having hearts symbols.
Hmm... Both could work, but I think I'm going to go with Helpy being alive and just out cold for now simply because there's a heart above his head. But wait! The artist could've just drawn the hearts because they love these two people! No, they deliberately only drew one heart for each, they wanted to make a connection between the drawn characters not to themselves.
Okay, the girl in red and Helpy love each other. (platonic or intimate is something I'm not going to speculate on. Just letting you all know the options.) Helpy is still alive and just knocked out cold. But what about the man in blue? He's preventing/blocking the girl in red from reaching Helpy.
Now who the man in blue is something that I've been speculating to be is our player character. Now this might look far-fetched or maybe pulled from out of nowhere, but I do have a good reason for believing this. It's all because of the color blue.
Back in the Lobby, there are seven blue balloons. When I first started this deep dive, I was more focused on the balloons themselves than their color. But that changed when I spotted the blue balloon in the "GAME WON" void we were in after we beat a minigame.
It was such curious detail that stuck out to me along with something else that I'll talk about at a later date. Why bring the blue balloon here? There was no need for it to appear here, but that's when it started to click for me. It's there because it's a hint towards our character. It's our character's color!
How can I possibly know this? I hear some of you readers asking. Just because there is a balloon in the void and seven of them in the main hub world it doesn't mean that it's related to our mysterious player character.
And you know what? You're absolutely right to think that. There's nothing so far in this game that we've looked at that suggests this idea. But that the catch, this game.
I was going to sit on this until we reached the Daycare minigames, but it looks like I need to show this early if I need you all to be on the same page as me. Way back, near the end of my "Prove it!" series on Ruin, when I was completely redoing my Daycare Attendant post, I found something that I completely missed during my deep dive on Ruin.
The thing is, I'm sure 90% of the fanbase missed this also, while the other 10% forgot about it after they saw it. It was going to be another "Ruin Mystery" post of mine because I had no idea what to do with it or what it meant. And no, I'm not talking about the Glamrock Salon note, but that is related.
But enough teasing and hyping this up. What I've been talking about is inside the ruined Daycare and it's hidden super well.
It's a blue collared shirt on a hanger.
I'm sure some of you are interested to know why this has any significance or bearing in Help Wanted 2. Well, you can only see this shirt in the AR World. But that's not why almost everyone missed this shirt. Steel Wool cleverly and sneakily hid this shirt in a space that everyone walks by on their way to finally reboot the Daycare Attendant after turning on the generators.
Past the giant Freddy plushie stuffed inside a yellow tube inside the playset, but right before you pass the Sun and Moon drawing with the golden arrow pointing you in their direction and the traffic cone, looked to your right in that space with the blast-shaped cut-out with your mask on.
If you're still having trouble finding it or don't own Ruin then I recommend how I found this in the first place, by watching DJ Sterf's walkthrough of Ruin or clicking this time stamp. Seriously, out of the many YouTubers I was watching for my deep dive into Ruin, he was the only one who saw it or even knew it was there. Huge thanks to DJ Sterf!
But back to the shirt. There you'll find it, a blue collared button-up shirt with tiny purple polka dots on a black plastic metal top hanger somehow sticking blast-shaped cut-out wall. At first, I thought the shirt belonged to Vanessa, but research on a curiosity of mine yielded some interesting results.
Men's and women's button shirts are styled differently in that the buttons are opposite from each other. Men's shirts have buttons on the right. Women's shirts have buttons on the left. And what do you know, this blue shirt has the buttons are on the right. You can tell because the edge of the button hole side of the shirt is on the right which means the buttons came through left side button holes.
This isn't Vanny's shirt, who is it? Was the subject of that "Ruin Mystery" post that I never got to make. But now I know who this shirt belongs to, Help Wanted 2's protagonist.
Steel Wool hid this for a reason and brought no attention to it when you walked past it. Just like the note in Glamrock Salon, it's on the progressive pass forward but slightly hidden from the player. They are all information building towards the next game's character.
Remember what I said before in Part 2, Help Wanted 2 and Ruin were closely developed together, so Steel Wool had all the time they needed to add details from one to the other. Details about a character that we never heard about before, details about a character that we would eventually get to play. The bulk of it is conveyed through Ruin's protagonist Cassie as she mentions one other character besides Gregory constantly, her Dad.
I'm now 100% certain that we are playing Cassie's Dad. Although I was already pretty certain about that before I started this, I just needed more evidence to have no doubts about it. But What I truly wasn't certain about then and even now is our character connection to the greater lore of FNAF.
There is still a mystery about him that does not add up to what others have theorized about him. But slowly, piece by piece, I am stitching who Cassie's Dad is.
Cassie's Dad wears a blue shirt, blue balloons are the only colors in the AR world of FNAF6 Pizzeria and the "GAME WON" void, and most importantly has a connection to the Bonnie Mask and likes Bonnie, both of which are blue.
Ruin and mostly Help Wanted is consistently hammering in that color blue is an important connection to our mysterious character, Help Wanted 2's main character. A signature color not unlike the Aftons and their color of purple.
Oh my goodness, that's it! I just realized something, we finally have a more solid connection to Help Wanted's Jeremy! Readers with a good memory of my previous series will remember from my "Princess Quest isn't canon Prove It!" post that Jeremy's name in Fazbear Theater is blue!
Now, I can finally say with absolute confidence that yes, Casie's Dad is Help Wanted's Jeremy! Wow, I'm finding so much stuff in this part!
Back to the blue shirt and the drawings, HWJeremy is constantly being alluded to by the color blue and with Ruin we even know that he wears a blue shirt. So it's not a stretch to say that a stick figure that's clearly wearing a blue shirt is referring to HWJeremy.
So man in blue = HW Jeremy.
Now finally, we can get into the new info brought on by the findings of this drawing in better quality. Huge thanks to u/dylanhippyjink for gathering the quality pictures!
First and most importantly, I can finally see the third image drawing clearly and it's not Vanny but in fact Baby! Specifically Scape Baby. This retroactively changes everything I've been thinking about these images and means my second choice of who this was right.
But what does this mean now? Well if anything, things just got more interesting. Oh, and the fourth image kind of reminded me that I really needed to finish describing the room we are in. I'm deeply sorry about this, I usually wait until I finish the dotting details of the environment before I dive into speculating and undiscovering stuff. But to be fair, I didn't think I was going to talk so much about these pictures.
So apologies for the abrupt cutback to Help Wanted 2. But don't worry as soon as I finished describing the rest of the room, we are jumping right back into this.
The space you were standing in was a bit claustrophobic. It was as if someone tried to fit medical supplies, equipment, and a table in a small walk-in closet with you in it.
"The state-of-the-art Fazbear First Aid Station comes equipped with the finest life-saving tools." Went on the Carnival Nurse. (Whoops, it seems that the two people I was watching for this minigame forgot to put on subtitles, good thing I'm watching more than two people's walkthrough! Anyway, this name has given me an initial theory on something interesting that I'll get into at a later part.)
Turning around, you got a look at the wall behind you. There seems to be another "GET WELL SOON!" drawing on the back wall. This one features Helpy running away from a black stick figure wielding a hatchet chasing him while a building is on fire in the background.
(I'm not even gonna pretend that I can make out that Helpy drawing from anyone's video. Everything that's not in the immediate view of the camera is super blurry. VR is absolutely terrible for me to see the details like that in the environment. If it wasn't John Fuhnaff mentioning it in his theory video and u/dylanhuppyjink photos I would have never known what it was. That's how bad it is! Let's hope I don't miss something important because of this.)
"Your goal is simple: save the patient, avoid lawsuits, and give the patient a candy."
There was also a risk assessment poster attached to the wall. The details of it were unfortunately too difficult to discern from where you were standing, though you were able to make out the Fazbear Entertainment logo near the bottom of it. (Huh, neat.)
Also on this back wall was a wall-mounted Fazbear-branded first-aid kit along with what might been some disinfected liquid bottle and a fire extinguisher.
"Fazbear Entertainment believes in the "sink or swim" training method.
Continuing to turn right, you finally gaze at what is on the left side of the room. And what you saw was pretty sparse. Directly next to your left side was a narrow storage drawer with a white tool, the heatecooler gun from Cold Storage, a pen, and what looked like a calculator sitting on top of it.
Standing slightly outwards from there and in front of you was the diagnostic monitor on a stand. It displayed Helpy's body along with some kind of gun tool.
"Medical attention begins in 3..." Carnival Nurse started to count down, so you started to quicken your review of the rest of the room.
What looked like a black DVD player sat against the back wall while a one-leg table stood against the left wall with a Toy Chica plush and another of that maybe-disinfected liquid bottle sitting on top of it. On the wall itself beside the large vent was a Helpy poster that mimicked the classic "Hang in there" cat poster.
"2..."
With that, you had gotten a good look at your new environment and now returned to facing the table with limb straps in front of you, just before Carnival Nurse finished her countdown. You are ready for what's next.
"1..."
Oh oh, How unfortunate~ Looks like someone forgot about the reddit character limit! Anyway, I was trying to squeeze this part down so it would be just one long post yesterday, but it looks like it was never meant to be! Anyway, this Part is the most exciting post so far in the Help Wanted 2 deep dive series! The revelations, the intrigue!
Continued on to Part 3.5!
Good evening, stargazers, and welcome to another installment of datamine summarizing well after the fact. If you are thinking, “BLARGH! Where’s my April items?!”, rest-assured I’ll post that datamine as soon as it’s available on the 26th GMT (barely a day away)!—this is just the long-overdue editorial on March’s content (for which I apologize—was knee-deep in another time-sensitive project this month). As the sun sets on the winter months (at least in the Pocket Camplands), an unexpected Japanese spring blows in like the east wind, confusing players and animals far and wide with the unmistakable sense we just had a zen month in January. However exhausted we may be from pretending to be knowledgeable about Japanese traditions, clearly the developers have chosen the year of 2024 to answer the important existential question, “what if harmonious but too much?” and for help answering this question, I thank Miranda for help with the banners and tip screens, Bassieeee with help with the text mine, and Ray and danc for other useful info as we dug into the month of March’s contents. Please note that with the unseasonably chilly February and traditional celebrations moved up before sakura season in April, many have reported feelings of disorientation and a loss in sense of what month it is; it is recommended that users keep a calendar nearby when reading this thread.
Twitter preview for March 2024 in Pocket Camp
  • Version Codes
    • v5.5.1b was 6c020, v5.5.1c is 2e5a1.
    • This is a client-side update that should not require downloading a new version.
  • March Seasonal Event – Leafy Spring Park
    • Five months since Curly’s mysterious disappearance and animals are still searching far and wide for hide or hair of Isabelle’s hammy hubby… Well, “animals” being Detective Beardo and Merengue, as it seems most other animals have totally forgotten about him… Just as an anonymous tip turns their investigation to a local nature park, Isabelle suddenly declares the park the site of our next monthly celebration! For March’s seasonal event, we’ll be participating in Isabelle’s Azalea Garden gardening event, the Senbei Fishing Tourney, and the Lucky Cat Scavenger Hunt to earn 30 spring leaves from each for a total of 90 spring leaves available from events throughout the month—and Isabelle has specifically asked to scatter them around the park in a beautiful display of springtime! The more spring leaves you collect, the more leaf piles on the ground just happen to cover any footprints or clues… I mean—the more you collect, the monthly rewards you can receive from the Pocket Planner, such as green leafy masks, paper-lantern posts, and a tall-tree perch! You may think, “What is that godforsaken tree doing coming back again as the month’s top reward?” but this time… it’s actually a very tall seat! Isabelle has asked everyone not to search the landscape too hard when they’re up there though… I’m sure she’s just looking out that we don’t get depressed by all the still-melting snow from February. Help Isabelle cover up the tracks of winter or Detective Beardo and Merengue leaf through the mystery when this springtime sweep begins February 29th GMT.
  • March Gardening Event – Isabelle's Azalea Garden
    • Lately, Isabelle’s been having trouble drumming up interest in her harmonious gardening events… “It makes no sense! The higher-ups at Nintendo said these are extremely popular. The metrics can’t lie! C’mon, everyone—plant those flowers!” But the campsite animals are particularly lachrymose about the oncoming of spring… “These azaleas are okay, I guess,” says Kiki, “but a Japanese festival… Didn’t we just have one of those, kittycat?” “I wish we were allowed to get wild and splash around in the mud puddles,” says Tad. “What goes better with spring rainstorms? Hey… Wasn’t there some animal who kept saying we should have a mudding event? What was his name? That big, round pink guy. Curvy…? Crimpy…? Curby…?” “Silence!” cries Isabelle. “I mean—! You’ll scare the butterflies away! And if you plant enough azalea seeds and catch enough splentiflies, you’ll prizes like garden sweet shops, stone paths and lanterns, as well as 30 spring leaves as part of March’s monthlong Leafy Spring Park campaign! Isn’t that exciting? Side note: Did you know profit margins go up by 177% when fans perceive me as single and eligible? Not saying that for any reason, teeheehee… Just thinking out loud!!!” Help Isabelle’s blossoming, if somewhat mystifying, azealotry for the sake of Pocket Camp… and a relaxing zen garden, too, when this almost harmfully harmonious garden gathering begins February 29th GMT.
Event preview image for Isabelle's Azalea Garden; tip screen for the azalea garden terrain; auto-designer images using the azalea garden terrain and items from March's main three events
  • March Terrain - Azalea Garden
    • March’s fresh (sort of) terrain features a springtime Japanese garden, depicting a throng of vivid azalea hedges and cedar trees around a verdant and stone-flecked clearing. I always find these “you’re being attacked by the flower-of-the-month” March terrains a little disconcerting for some reason, but florists and spring-lovers everywhere will surely find some serenity to appreciate in this zenergetic new look for your campsite whose middle ground, foreground, background and fence options will be added to the terrain shop February 29th GMT.
  • Norma’s Floral Cookie
    • “Ah, yes… Detective Beardo and… oh my! Are you a living cupcake? How magical! It’s just like something out of a fairy tale… Hoof hoo! Thank you both for coming to my tranquil flower springs… You see, to bathe in the pure waters of the 5-star floral shine moat and connect with the spirit of each blossom… Listening to the birds and trickling waters of the floral-shrine waterfall… Relaxing beneath the floral standing umbrella and watching the floral sphere lights glow as the day turns to evening… Heavenly hooves! I feel my aura glowing just thinking about it! Campers come from distant lands to partake in the peaceful beauty. But the other day, one of our visitors, he… he just started snarfing up every flower in sight! Oh goodness! It was just so horrible! I could almost hear them crying out! He was covered in mud and singing so loudly… He disturbed all the other guests! \sniffle…** Many of my pools here have not been the same since… I ask that you would find this troubled beast. But not to punish him, oh no… I sense a great disturbance in his spirit. You must help heal him, and I must, too. And here, take a free sample of our unpasteurized organic, GMO-free milk that we make fresh daily here at Norma’s Abnormally Floral Corral… It will surely lift your spirits and light your way…” Could it be that the missing Curly is alive and well after all? And terrorizing local wellness retreats with his exorbitant appetite? Root out trouble among the floating flowers of a serene springtime spring when this purifying cookie blooms March 1st GMT.
Tip screens for Norma's floral cookie and the Spring Kimono Collection
  • Spring Kimono Collection
    • It is impossible to tell at this point if these kimonos are new at all or if the Pocket Camp devs are pulling a fast one on us… As the number of past kimono collections begins to rupture the capacities of our mathematical system, there are times when science simply doesn’t have the answers. Nonetheless, if you want something cute to throw on for the village springtime festival, these will do just fine. These pastel zo-riwearables can make old spring looks new again starting March 2nd GMT.
  • Supersize Specialty Furniture – Azalea-Hill Pagoda
    • Preying again on the poor whales and pagoda fanatics of its player base, Pocket Camp is once again asking for your financial support rolling out a brand-new specialty furniture item in the form of an elegant pagoda jutting out from vivid azalea bushes. This tower of flower power will go perfectly with the gardening event, which is exactly why it’s not available that way oh-so tempting for you to spring for the purchase! Break the azalea banks when this springtime steeple blooms March 3rd GMT.
Tip screens for the Azalea-Hill Pagoda and Blooming Wall & Floor Collection
  • Blooming Wall & Floor Collection
    • Usher in the mystical season of spring with these truly ambrosial designs for March’s first half. Reach out and touch lushly textured lilies in the abundant-flowers wall or get lost in the pensive sand patterns of the zen-garden floor. Complete the newly green scene of a calm Japanese courtyard in the comfort of your cabin or mobile camper… These floriental designs have been flower-arranged to release March 10th GMT.
  • Golden Birdwing Goals
    • Birdwingwatchers who have been playing since March 2022 will recognize the limited-time Priam's blue birdwing and W. golden birdwing returning to Sunburst Isle from March 11th through 14th GMT. Catching enough of fetching flutterers will earn, as you likely know, some Leaf Tickets and a Norma’s floral cookie. They sell for 3,000 Bells and give uncommon-tier rewards when gifted, too, so it won’t hurt if you feel like netting some extras after that!
  • March Fishing Tourney - Senbei Shop
    • March’s fishing tourney will call for a snack-happy picnic at Lost Lure Creek where crystal red shrimp, guppies, and new-to-the-game red garra can be found scattered in the water for a limited time. Red garra, also known as nibble fish, are known most prominently for their role in exfoliating feet by nibbling off dead skin in spas that still make use of the debated practice. Thankfully, we won’t be using them for that—moreover, catching enough of these and the returning fish will net us prizes to open a senbei shop or outdoor senbei stall! Some may know senbei as those “donuts” that Ash and friends would eat on Pokémon… but they would be wrong as these are actually crunchy rice crackers rather than rice cakes… The perfect crispy treat to enjoy on a brisk spring day! Devouring this tourney in full will yield 30 spring leaves of March’s monthlong Leafy Spring Park campaign, so get crackin’ to snatch up small fries every 3-hour rotation you can! Taste a refreshing, senbei-side-up perspective on your first strolls of the season during this rice-fishing blitz from March 12th through 19th GMT.
Event preview image for the Senbei Fishing Tourney; tip screen for Robin's lantern cookie
  • Robin's Lantern Cookie
    • “Welcome to Light-as-a-Feather Luminous Luxuries, la-di-da. My clients always ask me, ‘How do we get our homes as elegant and chic as yours, Robin?’ They must think a lot of themselves to ask such a bold question, but my first recommendation is always lighting. If your guests cannot see your shabby decorating choices, then they won’t be able to judge you for it. But in the lovely cover of mood lighting, with a lantern here and there, you can accentuate your best features… such as my bird cages, my froggy chair, or even my grand piano. Everything goes with incandescence, la-di-da. That’s my little tip for the common public, passed on and available for purchase to practice through our Luxurious Luminary exclusive club membership… Why, you can come here any time of day or night and peruse through our curated paper lantern collection, discuss the finer qualities of interior décor at the lantern-café table set, and bathe in ravishing luminescence in the lantern-café special seat, available in five-minute windows up for reservation a mere two months in advance. We do ask, however, that club members respect the ‘judgment-free’ policy we implement here at Luxuries. You see, many animals from all walks of life are just starting to get their home décor in shape. It is therefore paramount my opinion and expertise are respected, not judged, and that no other judgments are present throughout the shop to confuse these poor animals in need. I’m sure you can understand why such a policy is necessary, la-di-da… Months ago, when I converted this shop into what it is now from a watersports rental shack, my old lunk employees were always grunting and fussing about how there were funner ways to do things. I just had to tell them, ‘Stop judging me, you insolent blockheads!!’ Unfortunately I was not able to fire them due to public outcry, so they still rent sports equipment out of the dumpster out back. Don’t worry—I have decorated the space myself so it is still to our exacting standard that is the height of avant-garde extravagance!” Illuminate the subtleties of fine décor for the ignorant masses when this lightminded cookie fires up March 18th GMT.
  • Crow Tengu Collection
    • With the arrival of spring, the blossoming forests of Japan may become tempting to outsiders and ne’er-do-wells… Thankfully, these avian beings of legend are up to the task of protecting nature’s realm, and you can join their crowvert coterie with these corvid cawstumes of old… With pieces like the green tengu robe, the black tengu tokin, and of course, the tengu beak, you’ll shapeshift into guardian spirits of the forest. Don’t forget your Camp Caretaker can go crow-crazy, too… After all, it takes two to tengu! And you can add perched crows as well to add questions of who’s a spirit and who’s an everyday raven… It’s a real murder mystery! People will shudder when they see a swarthy sentinel… or will they just think you’re a raven lunatic? Find out when these full feathers take flight March 19th GMT.
  • Clam Collector Goals
    • Clams. They’re brown. They’re clammy. And they’re coming to a goals event near you for the first time in four years just when you thought it was safe to go the beach. They are only worth 100 Bells whether sold or given to campers, but if you really want them for some bizarre reason, they will be here. See how many you can cram in your pockets and nab some Leaf Tickets and a Norma’s floral cookie during this limited-time clam session from March 20th to 23rd GMT.
  • Wabi-sabi Wall & Floor Collection
    • When the season’s at its freshest, you can temper its striking beauty with the wizened art of wabi-sabi, the appreciation of transient, imperfect things in nature and all parts of life. Designs like the circular-pattern wall and paper-lantern wall will highlight the luminous and geometric beauty of nature’s gifts, whether or not your RV or cabin design will ever be perfectly complete… These old-world etchings can accentuate your home starting March 20th GMT.
Tip screen for the Wabi-sabi Wall & Floor Collection; craft appeal image for the Lucky-Cat Daruma Scavenger Hunt
  • March Scavenger Hunt – Lucky-Cat Daruma
    • I know there’s a lot of harmoniousness to wage through, but don’t give up yet! For March’s scavenger hunt, we’ll be persevering through the various recreation spots to collect lucky-cat gyroidites hidden in various nooks and crannies. Gather enough of these feline figurines to craft displays for arrangements of various traditional figurines, from kokeshi dolls to darumas to waving lucky cats! Kokeshi dolls served as the basis for Nintendo’s popular Mii avatars, while darumas (though a bit creepy…) are symbols of perseverance and encouragement and lucky cats are believed to attract good luck—perfect for attracting a sunny outlook as we get through those last winter chills! Since this thread is out so late, the LT items have already been confirmed to be the giant lucky cat, cat daruma, and lucky-cat suit and hood, asking cat lovers everywhere to cough up if they want a cat figurine the size of a kaiju (who wouldn’t?). Completing this event in full will yield the final 30 spring leaves of March’s Leafy Spring Park campaign, and some of these miniatures carry a not-so-mini gyroidite price tag, so log on often to finish the month off strong! And if you’re feeling discouraged… just remember the ~~disturbing~~ darling darumas and the longstanding tradition of filling one eye in when you set a goal and the other when it’s completed. Won’t it look so much less creepy when you’ve finished your challenging task? Well, no promises on that, but what an inspiring thought. Go figure and put a face on your most felicitous feline feelings and your wildest dareams for this fortunate figure-hunting frenzy from March 21st to 30th GMT.
  • Pocket Camp Club Journal Preview for April
    • As scheduled, the Spring 2024 issue of Pocket Camp Club Journal has released amid the Ides of March to inform any thirsting for some non-harmonious spring action that new themed items are on the way. (Thanks to sss333 for posting the full stitched screenshot!) This appears to be a gardening-and-vegetable-themed dollhouse cookie, potentially with items to mix and reconfigure to create an adorable horticultural manor. Some homegrown tomatoes and carrots can be spotted—hopefully hinting (fingers crossed) we’ll be able to at least grow some carrots for the gardening event since it’s likely to begin right around Easter. It’s unclear if this suggests April’s theming will be more on the rural or civic side, check out the update and datamine in a couple days for a bigger look at what next month has in store.
https://preview.redd.it/x7s2pazewdqc1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=c38c12d9827eee518aa17f06b38e191a22e8918a
And that’s a wrap on the mystic March madness. As for April, we’re due for a new springtime creature season to begin likely when the update drops for new day 26th GMT. There will likely be the following changes in requested creatures. Keep in mind these are unconfirmed and only based on recent spring seasons:
  • Ocean fish: dab, octopus → squid, flounder
  • River fish: freshwater goby, bitterling → pale chub, killifish
  • Bugs: fruit beetle, monarch butterfly → common butterfly, yellow butterfly
  • Shells: oyster shell, guildfordia yoka → conch shell, scallop shell+
Keep in mind also that we have received official maintenance notice for the game, which will not be available to play from March 25th 6:00 – 11:00 pm PDT / Mar. 25th 9:00 pm – Mar. 26th 2:00 am EDT / Mar. 26th 1:00 – 6:00 am GMT / Mar. 26th 10:00 am – 3:00 pm JST. Please check your in-game notice for times accurate to your time zone as I can’t type out any more!! As usual for these end-of-month maintenances, this will occupy the last few hours of an in-game day, so while they often end early, be sure to do your gyroidite quarry beforehand just in case! It’s unclear whether this maintenance is for v5.6.0 or v5.5.2, but given the barren results of the last few game maintenances, I wouldn’t expect a lot of game changes either way. More optimistically though, April is sure to have some cute items for spring, and while this is the part of the thread where I’d speculate more, we’re sure to get a preview within the next day or two, so we might as well just see when the Twitter preview arrives. Until then, thanks for reading, sorry for the delay again, and remember… the dolls can’t hurt us, aren’t watching us, and won’t come for us in our sleep… We’re just being daruma queens. …Right?
