Clearly, Vinphet cars are for rich Vinfans to add to their Vinphet collection. If you're foreigner, you would definitely be worshiped like a God of Vinphet. This is something you would never get if you bought other brands.

I just bought a new cafe racer motorcycle from out of state and was looking to get it registered just looking for confirmation on this
I donā€™t need a bike inspection correct? Just an inspection lane verified document saying my vin on my title matches the one on my bike

2024.05.19 21:16 Maleficent-Deer2225 1980 xs1100 oil leak from stator wiring.

Hello Iā€™m new to the motorcycle community, got this bike from a kid that didnā€™t know what he had (said it was a 650) looked up vin and itā€™s a 1100 midnight special. The engine was ā€œlockedā€ up but we got it running this summer. Except there is a leak coming from the stator case. Is there supposed to be oil going into there?

The Slumlord/Bad roommate Experience as a low-income Canadian
Living here has been the most soul sucking 7 months of my life. I have lived in Canada my whole life and the rental market is getting ROUGH. When I first moved in, I was misled to believe this was legitimate, little did I know it was a sublet/slumlord situation, which I came to find out. But being low income, this was the only affordable option.
  1. Flooded kitchen since Nov/Dec, landlord knows about this, has not come in once. ā€œSubletterā€ is not fixing. Mold smell is strong. Have fallen on those shitty blocks so many times.
  2. termites? Rotting wood? Had a leak back here before I fixed the faucet myself.
  3. Messy place but nobody cleans. This spilled tea sat for 2 weeks in the burneunderneath
  4. Lots of bugs, isopods arenā€™t unusual to see in the spring thaw but this is continually throughout the year, which Iā€™ve heard indicates a leak/water damage/rot - makes sense since all the shower caulking is rotten and it leaks through to my wall. They know about this.
  5. They damaged the fire alarm when I first moved in, refused to pick up another one. I reminded them I can die, they donā€™t care. Reminded them of the fine, they got one (no co2 detector either). They got a new one after that, but now keep tampering with it. Even without the tape it doesnā€™t go off anymore. Iā€™ve asked them again to fix this.
  6. wall between my room and the shower - squishy, soft, will give with a slight push. Rotten. He knows about this, I asked for help, I ended up taping it up to keep the bugs from crawling in. Still hasnā€™t done anything.
  7. Idles motorcycle in front foyer several times a week, pumps a bunch of co2 into the house, then housemates leave me to deal with it
I get to move out in June. Let it be known Canada isnā€™t doing good, and Canadians are suffering too. Itā€™s hard to make a living now as a low-income youth, nobody should live like this, but then again itā€™s a roof over my head. At this point Iā€™d rather be homeless though:(
Additionally Iā€™ve started taking some appropriate steps to tackle this with health dept and soon the fire Marshall but this is just madness! Donā€™t make the same mistake I did, just because itā€™s affordable doesnā€™t mean itā€™s acceptable or safe ā¤ļø

Anyone lose their motorcycle in GR šŸ˜‚ Pulled it out of the river.
A group of us went magnet fishing and with the help of a diver we were able to pull out three motorcycles. The Honda cl 175 VIN was reported stolen so we had to turn it over to PD. Did get an amazing souvenir to bring home at least, late 1800s Railroad lantern!

2024.05.18 05:45 HannoPicardVI Open-world near-future action-adventure thriller "Ghosts of Egypt" sells 6.2 million units on PS5 and Xbox Series X; won't be released on PC for another 6 years. Players play Alex Reynolds, a tourist during an "awakening" which sees the ghosts of dead Pharaohs and slaves come back to life

"Ghosts of Egypt", set in 2044, in Cairo Egypt, sells 6.2 million units on PS5 and Xbox Series X, but it won't be released on PC for another 6 years - if even that.
With a 177 km2 playable area, you play Alex Reynolds, an 18 year old Canadian tourist who is caught up during "an awakening".
Suddenly, the ghosts of dead Pharaohs and dead slaves from millennia ago come back to life and begin fighting with each other and terrorizing the people of Cairo.
With action-packed cinematics and an action-packed story campaign, Ghosts of Egypt offers hours of entertainment and exploration, so you do have to wonder why it didn't attain a higher sales figure.
Playing as Alex Reynolds in third person, you basically become a "ghost hunter" and have to battle dead Pharaohs and furious dead slaves alike in Cairo, whilst helping newfound friends in an effort to save the city from total ruin and the apocalypse. A fully explorable and "well-done" Cairo International Airport becomes your base of operations as, for some reason, ghosts don't seem to like airports...or aircraft.
The ghosts also have the ability to possess the bodies of people in their vicinity, jumping from body to body, sometimes making them difficult to track. Because the map is so large, you can get around using up to 54 vehicles (mostly cars and motorcycles, with unmarked Ford Crown Victorias - which were introduced into Egypt and Cairo in 2039 - being Alex's favorite). Helicopters are also available but are in great demand and very difficult to obtain.
Ghosts of Egypt is not expected to be released on PC anytime soon, so don't hold your breath.

2024.05.18 03:27 Maleficent-List-4062 Bill of Sale, no title.

I ran the VIN online, then called a non-emergency line to verify it wasnā€™t stolen.
Long story short, I purchased a motorcycle from this guy on Facebook, itā€™s about 25 years old, he was the 2nd owner. Very good condition, anyway - he doesnā€™t have the title and I canā€™t seem to find the original owner anywhere, and I just was hoping someone could help me with the title obtaining process!

2024.05.17 15:07 m_wallin 2+ Years and 27,000 miles

I have an early VIN R1T. After more than 2 years (March, 2022) and 27,000, I thought someone might wonder what long (ish) term ownership looks like.
Put simply, the Rivian R1T is the best vehicle I have ever owned, driven or ridden in. That includes: BMW, Tesla, Bentley, Subaru, Honda, Toyota (180,000 miles on that one), Mercedes, and Ford.
The R1T has gone on long west coast road trips to visit national and state parks. It has been overlanding through coastal mountains. We go to the mountains to ski. We trailer motorcycles to remote areas.
One of my kids is a rower so we are constantly dealing with piles of wet and dirty crap. Pets and people are in and out a lot.
Even with above average abuse, the interior remains immaculate. The gear tunnel is so practical and useful. I thought it was a gimmick at first, but is so much more.
The seats are the most comfortable car seats especially on long drives.
The general build quality continues to impress me. Oh and the truck is so much fun to drive and quick off the line.
My only gripe is the charging pad and dirt trap in the console. That is a small price to pay for a vehicle I am happy to get in every day.

2024.05.16 08:35 Kind_Pay_9699 Vin concern

I bought a vehicle a couple months ago and just found out from a dealership the car is Canadian and the warranty has been voided once it came into the United States, the dealership I bought it from did not disclose this to me only put on Wisconsin buyers guide Canada, so I called Mopar directly to confirm this whole Canadian thing gave them my VIN and itā€™s trueā€¦ hereā€™s where I am getting confused, my vin on all my paperwork when I look it all up says manufactured in USā€¦. Gives me the exact name of the plant as wellā€¦. It also says I am mistyping the VIN and auto decodes it? When it does this all the information is correct color, year, engine sizeā€¦. When I look up vin information it says if the vin starts with one itā€™s Canadianā€¦. Yep starts with 1ā€¦. So is it Canadian or US? When I try to Kelly blue book using the vin I get an error message that the vin is wrong, when I change a zero to a O my vehicle comes upā€¦ when I car fax my car I see my original sticker and itā€™s in French lol but says United Statesā€¦ carfax shows the vin I have on window stickerā€¦ vehicle manufactured in United States for Canadian use? Then brought back to United States?

Is this a real title RI? What info is being blocked off?
Looking at buying a motorcycle and I'd have to travel 3 hours just to check this one out. The seller neglected to mention that he's "selling it for a friend" until I requested a pic of the title including the vin and his name. Getting sketchy vibes at this point especially considering how far away it is. It also appears there's a lien on the title? I'm not sure. Any insight from you would be helpful, thanks.

Hello so ive just recently went into my local canadian tire to get some stuff unbeknownst to me I get to the cashier and get told that I am not allowed to have my bag in the store I drive a motorcycle and I have no other way to transport my things that I buy around I was then pretty much accused of stealing as I was made to open my bag and the employee looked in it which to see it was empty. Is this wrong? I feel like every single one of my rights was violated.

2024.05.15 19:24 Johnny45121 Ridiculous insurance rate

So Iā€™m paying 3500 Canadian a year for insurance which is about 2570 USD per year which equates to 327 Canadian per month or 240 USD per month. I have full coverage but even so this seems like absolute robbery. What could be the reason for this insanity? I know super sports are more expensive to insure but this seems like Iā€™m being screwed big time. Iā€™m 28 and have had my motorcycle license for two years.

2024.05.14 21:20 spiteye762 [KY] DMV Title Issue

I recently bought a used motorcycle off of market place. I took it to the dmv to swap the title and they claimed they couldn't read the vin on the title. So they said I have to get with the original seller who I cannot get a hold of, my Facebook was deleted, and I don't know the guy personally. What are my options to legally own this motorcycle?

Cannot find any info on this bike my uncle has?
Only thing I can tell is the speedometer does not have miles per hour, only kilometers, and it's a 48cc engine with no shifter I can see but it does have a speedometer that goes up to 140km/h!!!! Lol
Says it's a ROCKET but no model number or VIN I can find.
It's also noticably smaller than your average motorcycle, im 5'10" and it's almost compact but comfortable on me.
He's looking to get rid of it, any info you have on it so I can help him sell it or convince him it's not a good idea to sell??
It does not run at the moment.
Thank you!

2024.05.13 23:40 throwawaymoron1978 Question about buying a motorcycle that was previously stolen

Hey all, I have a question.
A few months ago I responded to an ad for a motorcycle from a private seller. I went and looked at it and the person selling the bike stated that they were selling the motorcycle for their son-in-law who was out of state at the time. I compared the title and the VIN to the bike and found that both matched. I paid the seller 5k for the bike and she handed me the title. The person signed the title and gave it to me but filled out nothing else on it. When I got home, I filled out the rest of the title with the owners information in order to title and register the bike to ride on public roads. I put the correct purchase amount of 5k on the title and paid the necessary amount in sales taxes and fees for the state. To my knowledge at the time, I had no indication that the bike had been stolen before I bought it.
A few months later I get a knock on my door from an investigator from the state DMV saying that the bike had been reported stolen. The original owner had just gotten out of jail and went to go ride their bike and found that it was gone. Which led them to me since I was able to register the bike. He confirmed that it was indeed the persons bike and the owner came and picked up the bike in the same day.
Anyways, it sounds like thereā€™s now a very large criminal investigation into this person that sold me the motorcycle. Iā€™ve spoken to the police and filled out a witness statement about what happened as well as sending them photos of the electronic payments I sent the person who sold me the bike. The police now want me to fill out an affidavit that they can use in court in order to adequately prosecute this person.
The problem is that I havenā€™t told the police that I was the one who filled in the sellers information on the title. I did not sign it for them or forge their signature on it, but I filled in the owners information and the mileage with the purchase price. I want this person who sold me the bike prosecuted and brought to justice. But if I sign and fill out the affidavit of what happened, I donā€™t want there to be any repercussions to myself since I filled in the rest of the info.
This might be splitting hairs, but should I fill out the affidavit and omit this detail? Should I not talk to the police at all? Should I tell them this detail before I sign the affidavit?
Would love any insight, thanks.
