So as the title says, I'm currently writing a Jegulus fic (also my first published work) and the only extensive feedback I get is from 2 of my best friends. Of course, i appreciate their time and i know theyd tell me if anything at all wasnt up to par, but neither have been in the fandom long enough to pick out anything problematic.
Therefore, I was hoping someone on here could give it a read and make sure of the following:

Idk why but i've been trying to create a good looking character but it isn't working. I've followed several preset videos and images but everytime my character looks nothing like them and just looks bad.

Hi all,
I'm preparing to start running a CoS: Reloaded campaign within the next few weeks and I have a few logistical questions about the module. For context my DMing experience so far is only Lost Mine of Phandelver and a one shot I ran to try to get more of my friends into D&D.
First is character creation. Is there any guidance for how to have players create their characters outside of just the flaws, bonds, and motivations? Anything to be aware of with PC races and classes? I know the module as written advises to keep races mostly human, but that feels needless to me. Right now I have 3 players who can commit the time to a regular campaign, with an additional one who might join after the summer. Is 3 enough? I know there are balance notes that go down to 3 players but in terms of party composition I'm afraid they won't have a good spread, especially since a lot of loot in the module is tailored to certain classes.
Should I read the entire guide before starting the campaign? It's still a work in progress so I don't know if there's value in reading the whole thing but I do always find myself missing context as a DM and I'm afraid I might misplay something for my players and worsen their experience.
Are earlier parts of the campaign going to be rewritten much? I'm a little afraid to start it because in most of DragnaCarta's updates he usually says he plans on going back and editing earlier arcs in the next update and he also advises not to modify the guide much as you never know which details might be load bearing.
How do I even prepare this? Am I mostly expected to run the game by reading along with the website or do people have different methods to run it?
As a DM I feel like I need a lot more guidance with logistics and game mechanics than with in-game storytelling stuff, but that's usually the stuff that's left out of DM guides.
Anyway, I know it's a lot of questions but I would appreciate any advice. I'm getting really excited to run the campaign but have been a bit overwhelmed by the amount that is on me to prepare for.

Whilst everyone is sort of doom and gloom or complacent about the loss of MC or lack of content, I still think the game is fun to play. I don't have much higher expectations and like it as a partial pvp roguelike game and tend to care more about new content like maps, enemies, items and classes rather than the slow slog of quests or ladder climbing. In that spirit, here's some theory crafting about a Vampire class if one were to ever enter the DaD universe. And before you say it, warlocks are not vampires.
Add any additional skills/perks in the comments and I'll update the posts and edits with ones I like. I feel this is one possible avenue in a direction for future content, and I could imagine a series of dungeon maps to go along with it. Thanks for reading, Cheers

2024.05.21 22:44 Ok-Log297 Is Severance the retelling of the story of Joshua???
I think a lot of Severance is really explained by how episode 2 opens. I've noticed this before, but kept forgetting to dive into it. But last night I put on episode 2 to fall asleep to, heard it again, and decided to look into it today.
So iMark shows up for work at the beginning of Ep 2 on his first full day as MDR supervisor. He's looking at the list of his new duties, he's doing all the office prep stuff, and the whole time they're playing "Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho" as the music.
I truly believe there are no mistakes in this show. Everything has a reason.
So as I'm falling asleep last night, all I'm hearing is the music, I'm singing along in my head and thinking about being in second grade and performing this song with my class for one of the pagents, and then thinking, once again, "why this song?"
Some background: the Battle of Jericho itself, is where they marched around the city once a day for six days, blowing their ram horns (goat reference), and on the 7th day they marched around seven times, blowing their horns until the walls crumbled and they took the city. All fine and well. But... then I started thinking, "ok, but of all the songs they could use as Mark is setting up the office, WHY that song?"
More background: Joshua was the right hand/second behind Moses. He was with Moses when God gave Moses the commandments, but not when Moses wrote them down. Then Joshua was one of the 12 spies Moses sent into Canaan to see if they could settle there, and they were all asked to keep a good tone to the reports. The job of the spies was to map the land, see what the other settlements were doing, figure out if they could be taken over, and report back on the general state of what they had (agriculture, forestry, other resources, etc). When the spies returned, 10 gave mixed or negative reports, with only Joshua and Caleb giving glowing one. Because of this, only Joshua and Caleb were promised spots in the Promised Land. After Moses died, God appointed Joshua as his successor. Joshua then started leading them into Canaan to find places to settle, and the first battle that happened was the Battle of Jericho.
So... what if Petey is our Moses, and Mark is our Joshua? And Because Mark would have been with Petey as they wandered around, they learned what the floor was like, but then Petey wrote and left the "commandments" (aka the Map) when Mark wasn't there.
So now Mark is in charge. And though Petey/Moses is alive on the outside, and giving oMark some direction before he dies (about spying!), iMark is now his full successor inside. He was appointed by the Board/Cobel (the "god" in Severance, who, by the way, iMark never heard the voice of). At this point in time, for the innies, Petey is as good as dead. And, as an aside, there ARE 12 spies, because once they decide to join with O&D, there are 12 of them! (4 in MDR + 8 total in O&D) I double checked in the scene and have a picture.
So, the questions...
To answer some of the questions:
• I can see iIrv, when he puts the egg in the Kier book, being one of the spies being fed up with "the word of God" and broken promises.
• When iMark takes Helly on her "mental health walk" she eventually agrees to help clean up the map. And when they're with the big O&D group, they talk about trying to find out what else is going on down there, exploring, and mapping. This was the job of the 12 spies that Moses sent into Canaan.
• Even if you think about Petey, he looks old. Like older than he should, given what we could guess his age is. And he's wandering alone, lost in his own desert (the greenhouses) for awhile.
Also, he loves the robe. After Mark takes him in, we basically only see Petey in that robe from that point forward. It just reminds me of how many different biblical stories we re-enacted in various school plays, and the boys were always in their dads' bathrobes when they played any biblical characters.
We don't know a lot about Petey's real backstory, but when he leaves Mark's house after Cobel breaks in, he goes into one of his fugue states where he can't tell the difference between reality and being on the severed floor. He's holding the map he drew, and thinks he's following that as he walks across the bridge and into town. As though he is wandering, again, in his own mind desert. And Moses wandered, alone, then died on a mountain while looking over the Promised Land. Petey, after wandering alone, walks out of the convenience store, sees Mark in the distance, and collapses. So does Mark represent, in some way, the idea of the promised land (uncovering what Lumen is really up to on the severed floor) to Petey?
(My whole point there is that Petey really does fit the idea of being the Moses in this dissection of the story, lol)
TL;DR: could Petey be Moses, Mark be Joshua, and the whole show ultimately be about trying to lead the innies and their outies to their promised land (aka the truth of what's really happening on the severed floor)?
Anyway... it seems to fit. And I can't think of another reason to choose that song, out of any song they could have picked, to play during that scene. It was the real transfer of power, when iMark truly became the new leader, taking over even the mundane tasks of leadership in this culture that signaled, to them, that iPetey was gone.
Sure, it could be a stretch. But I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts, especially anyone who might be able to dissect the biblical stories better! 😊

- What is the battle of Jericho?
- The next is the first battle of Ai, which they lose. What is it?
- The first battle of Ai is lost because one of them looted JerJericho for their own personal gain, which they weren't supposed to do, and beyraybetrayed the group. So who is the betrayer here? Who gets "paid off" by the company?
- What will be the successful battle for Ai? (Season 2 or 3?)
To answer some of the questions:
- I believe the Battle of Jericho is the innies breaching the MDR locked wall that gets installed. By the time it's installed, Petey is truly dead, so both oMark and iMark are his successor in the Moses/Joshua parallel. It's only at this point the battle could happen.
- The battle at Ai, that they lose the first time, could be them waking up in the final episode and it being thwarted. It's not clear (yet) what/how much they accomplished. TBD
- The reason the first battle at Ai is unsuccessful is because someone betrayed the group at Jericho by looting. So, if this analogy holds, did someone decide to take a payoff of some sort after the first overtime contingency test in episode 9? Maybe to stay out of the breakroom? I'm not pointing fingers, but Milchick was offering a lot of new incentives to Dylan, so I guess we'll have to see?
- If the 1st battle of Ai was the OTC in ep 9, then the second would have to be some sort of repeat. But in Joshua's story, the second time he goes with a small contingency and confronts the leaders, I believe (who think it'll be easy to take them down). Meanwhile, the city is lost and 12,000 perish. So... are they going to wake again but have a much better plan this time???

It was the real transfer of power, when iMark truly became the new leader, taking over even the mundane tasks of leadership in this culture that signaled, to them, that iPetey was gone.

The Password requirements are 8-30 characters with number, letter and symbols.
Say you make a strong 30 characters long PW.
The log in works on iphone and android (Tested with some friends).
HOWEVER. For some reason the Windows client can only display 26 characters! So you end up with an error message and cannot do anything.
I spent around 3 hours trying to figure out if my Pi-Hole was messing with the requirements or maybe an adblock I run systemwide.
TLDR Windows log in only works with Passwords that are 26 characters or shorter!
Maybe they will fix it.

We had our first season for 14 team Head-to-Head Cats Keeper money league consisting of pretty close friends. The first season was super successful and had a lot of activity and participation. With that kind of created this organic situation where on occasion, a team would challenge the team they were playing for the week in a side wager (example - whoever loses this week has to pay for a pizza for the winner). Additionally, about 3-4 teams in the league were a little less active than the rest, so my goal as Commish for this season is to get them more engaged by making each week more meaningful, therefore increasing waiver wire activity, trades, banter talk, etc.
We're looking to expand on that wager premise this season with a formal "Challenger" award - the team that wins the most challenges throughout the season wins a small money prize (only like 5% of the league pot). The idea behind it is to keep people super engaged each week with side wagers for anything (money bet, a vanity bet, food bet, etc etc). It can be for anything and everything that people want to wager on, and I'd like to give the league some more "standard" options - whether it's for a 1v1 or for multiple teams to "opt-in". It's all completely voluntary and given the relatively insignificant prize, won't piss off anyone. For background, we often hang out in discord watching NHL games while playing video games.
My questions is - does anyone have any unique side wagers that would be fun to add in each week? Some of the best ones so far (outside strictly $):

Challenger Corner
a. The Challenger Corner is where formal & friendly wagers/bets/challenges of any kind can be made in the discord, specifically under #challenger-corner.
b. Managers are encouraged to keep the league fun and engaging by challenging their peers to fun bets based off the fantasy week! Managers have many options on how they want to do week to week bets, such as (but not limited to):
i. Challenge the specific team you are playing for the scoring period.
ii. Challenge another team that you are not specifically playing (can simply just compare stats at end of period to determine victor)
iii. Create a multi-team challenge for the period (like who’s team can score most points – everyone who’s interested puts $5 into a pot)
iv. Create a challenge where every manager involved picks 1 player to score the most points during a 1 week period
c. Examples of challenges include (but certainly not limited to)
i. Monetary bets
ii. Bets for loser has to buy winner a meal
iii. Name Change/Vanity Bets (winner changes name of loser for X period)
iv. Speech Bet (loser has to write a speech about the winner)
v. Whatever else you can think of that’s fun!
d. As we now include a “Challenger Award”, we will begin tracking a running tally of managers who have won/lost bets. In order to qualify for a formal win, you must do the following:
i. Challenge and its conditions must be formally posted under #challenger-corner before the start of the first game of the scoring week (or a specifically designated timeframe if occurring during the period – I.E. making a challenge based on one specific NHL game being played).
ii. The opponent(s) you are challenging must formally accept under #challenger-corner prior to game/period start.
iii. You must notify the Commissioners of a formal challenge accepted, and notify the Commissioners as to who the winner(s) are.
iv. Commissioners will keep a running tally and whoever won the most challenges in the year wins the “Challenger Award!”
1. In the event of a tie, the award winners can choose to either split the winnings or enter into another bet/challenge for the amount.
v. If you folks have any cool ideas for what a wager outcome could be, or for what the wager could be placed specifically on (the whole scoring period, a specific NHL game, or specific NHL players), then I want to hear them!

Challenger Corner
a. The Challenger Corner is where formal & friendly wagers/bets/challenges of any kind can be made in the discord, specifically under #challenger-corner.
b. Managers are encouraged to keep the league fun and engaging by challenging their peers to fun bets based off the fantasy week! Managers have many options on how they want to do week to week bets, such as (but not limited to):
i. Challenge the specific team you are playing for the scoring period.
ii. Challenge another team that you are not specifically playing (can simply just compare stats at end of period to determine victor)
iii. Create a multi-team challenge for the period (like who’s team can score most points – everyone who’s interested puts $5 into a pot)
iv. Create a challenge where every manager involved picks 1 player to score the most points during a 1 week period
c. Examples of challenges include (but certainly not limited to)
i. Monetary bets
ii. Bets for loser has to buy winner a meal
iii. Name Change/Vanity Bets (winner changes name of loser for X period)
iv. Speech Bet (loser has to write a speech about the winner)
v. Whatever else you can think of that’s fun!
d. As we now include a “Challenger Award”, we will begin tracking a running tally of managers who have won/lost bets. In order to qualify for a formal win, you must do the following:
i. Challenge and its conditions must be formally posted under #challenger-corner before the start of the first game of the scoring week (or a specifically designated timeframe if occurring during the period – I.E. making a challenge based on one specific NHL game being played).
ii. The opponent(s) you are challenging must formally accept under #challenger-corner prior to game/period start.
iii. You must notify the Commissioners of a formal challenge accepted, and notify the Commissioners as to who the winner(s) are.
iv. Commissioners will keep a running tally and whoever won the most challenges in the year wins the “Challenger Award!”
1. In the event of a tie, the award winners can choose to either split the winnings or enter into another bet/challenge for the amount.
v. For any challenges that are agreed to during the week, it is the duties of the managers to hold themselves accountable and honor the bet – Commissioners will not enforce these side-wagers, however if the loser ultimately does not honor the commitment, they may be excluded from the formal Challenger Corner award in the future.

When a passionate author creates a character, they appear in the Kingdom of Tales, and are transported through a mystical river by boat. They have a sort of glow to them (representing their potential as characters) and are about the ages of 14-15. When they arrive to the Kingdom of Tales they enter into the Academy of Tales, where they train to be characters for about four "years," before it is revealed whether they are a villain, sidekick, or hero in their respective stories. From there, they given specialized education for their roles. Once they graduate, they enter into the Hall of Magic Mirrors (which they are not allowed to enter prior to this ceremony), in which they get a preview of their story and character, after which they must step through the mirror and enter their stories. Graduates will use the skills they learned in the academy to be the best characters they can be, but the number one rule is to do what the author has written, as disobeying the author's words can cause mass destruction.
The Kingdom/Academy of Tales is run/inhabited by forgotten characters, whose authors have abandoned their stories, meaning they are stuck in the Kingdom of Tales. They lack the same glow that the new citizens/students have upon arrival.

Based on the picture above, I chose 6 characters who could define the whole genre of X-Men and have them lead their respective team. Since, there is too many teams to talk about, u can ask me in the comments. Every group has a minimum of 6 members with a max of 8. The bolded text represents the leader of the respective grouping. To summarize as short as possible, Storm's group are the diplomats of X-Men. They represent themselves as the politicians of the X-Men while maintaining safety of the earth like floods, etc. Amity here is Benjamin Deeds; I think his likeability power would suit best here. Since there is a growing distrust within the X-Men and S.W.O.R.D, they decided to form their own cosmic team with Nightcrawler as its head. This team function to establish communication with alien civilizations, in purpose of creating a community and rapport. That is where Cypher's power comes in handy. Polaris' magnetism can be extremely useful when moving tech parts in space. I added Cerise for Kurt's romantic interest. Basically, this book is about Kurt and his team venturing in space and defend the earth from extraterrestrial attacks. Now, with Jean Grey, got to be honest, don't really know what I'm doing here but to extrapolate my thought decision, this team became the guardian of X-Men who works on a similar level like Thor. They represent themselves among other Godly beings to have a voice for the sake of mutant kind. Say, an entity similar to the progenitor comes to condemn mutant kind, this team will work to prove the number of good mutants can contribute, hoping to outweigh the chaos that has been previously caused. Next, Emma's group handles the financial matters and works to improve the perception of mutants amongst society, and because it's Emma, she did it in a questionable method. My concept is this, she built a company popular enough to attract many attentions, while having the founder be her proxy. Her proxy would be recognized as the mutant who successfully launch products that help society in many ways. This way, she gets to work in distance while being confined to her, monitoring the crowd's perception and its reviews. At the risk of being sabotaged, the threat that is yet to come will only follow the proxy instead of Emma. This company is also her way to misdirect the actual business that she was dealing with and to use it to her benefit if things went awry. Morph's shape shifting ability would make this Emma's proxy while both Kitty and Tommy would be her personal agent who's able to watch Morph's activity close by from those who wish to harm Morph who's disguising as Emma's proxy. Quicksilver's speed can come in handy if she needs to hide some evidence that would ruin her story. Astonishing X-Men featuring Wolverine is the public hero team of the X-Men who sometimes collaborate with the Avengers. If SHIELD or an Avenger were to discuss matters with the X-Men, they can only answer to Wolverine's team instead of Cyclops. I'm adding Nocturne to his team because I like her. Finally, Cyclops's being the radical bunch of them all will pave the way for mutant kinds and his X-Men. His team is equipped with a teleporter, psychic, an expendable fighter, and tank. His team is the kind that deals head on with the villains, negotiating affairs and if the opposition were to strike global terror, he simply requests his Extinction team that features Pryor to combat massive threat. If he needs a black ops team, he simply calls upon the X-Force. I believe many of u are familiar with this function groups, except I'm changing the concept for Hellions and Marauders Scott leaves the Hellions' team featuring Rogue as his wild card. Scott's strategic method will always be played out in the storyline but if things ever not come his way, he leaves it to the Hellions who's able to outplay destiny. This team is as if Irene and Mystique form this group to aid their secret mission except, I'm using Blindfold for her precognition ability and Copycat's shape shifting ability. I added Deadpool because he's random and unpredictable at times, perfect for a wild card team. This is just the concept, the rest I'll leave it to the writers :) As for Marauders, remember the time when they send 3 expendable mutants to the Children of the Vault to gather intel, so yea this is based on them except I'll have Sam leading the team, accompanied by his best friend Sunspot and Darwin's survival ability. Rachel would be their most powerful member and Lifeguard's power would make this interesting as she's underrated. Blink here would be the team's teleporter. So yeah, whatddaya think... |

Ragnarok which is also known as "Doom of the gods" causes earth to sink into ocean.
However it talks about 3 harsh winters without summers, could Oda have made it that the 3 long winters are actually previous attempts of a ragnarok? Each failure ended up ocean levels rising... Meaning before Joy Boy there was someone to fight against gods, it created the "Ocean" then Joy Boy was first to set sail as a pirate and eventually started another "ragnarok" causing second flood. And i find evil giants interesting species in One piece, because ragnarok starts with giants and demons attacking gods. Why was Oars in a land of ice?
Also i just realized that "Doom of the Gods" could be the will of D, D standing for doom. And as i think about this i wonder if the Ozuki clan symbol and many other symbol presenting the "9" circles could indicate that each clan of D comes from different planets? Meaning that there would be 9 D clans. Or just like straw hats, Joy Boy had a crew of 9 members and the will of D comes from every single member. Every D are descendants of Joy Boy's crew, but Joy Boy being a giant... Would make much more sense for the crew to be Giants also. So i rather think D clans comes from orbiting planets, the yggdrasil tree that connects "9" realms could been the tree in one piece to connect all worlds/planets.
Also Oda stated that the One Piece will be close to the ending when eyepatched character appears in One Piece... Odin has eyepatch. Loki is a prince in One Piece, so the father must be Odin. And Shanks being affiliated with Elbaf, who was the right hand man of Odin? Tyr... And Tyr sacrificed one of his arms to Fenrir... And who will kill Tyr at Ragnarok? Garmr the guardian of the underworld... Who happens to be similar to Cerberus 😂 So is Blackbeard Mythical Zoan Cerberus user which is the reason he can have multiple devilfruits. And does it mean Blackbeard will kill Shanks who is clearly inspired from Tyr.
But yeah, Elbaf will be really important arc to reveal the truth pretty much everything. Norse Mythology might be the key to solve rest of the mysteries in One Piece.

2024.05.21 22:09 LordBDizzle Observations on Marika in the new trailer
So the character at the start taking the golden threads is definitely Marika, presumably creating the Golden Order or something similar, since the arm bands are matching. But I noticed something doing comparisons: none of the in-game statues have her wearing the same forearm snake-like bracelets that the opening cutscene art depicts her having, just the upper arm bands. Snakes being considered heretical to the Golden Order is a minor theme in game, most noticeable in the Volcano Manor section of the game, so it's not necessarily surprising, but I never really caught the forearm bracelets being absent before and any significance it might have. Looking closer the bands aren't actually snakes, just coiled gold that kinda resemble snakes at first glance, but considering Mesmer's presumed connections to Marika I wonder if the removal of the arm bands was intentional. Maybe I'm just an insane crackpot with a dumb theory, but I thought it was interesting at least.
