Is it me or her? I need to know. . .AITAH

2024.05.22 00:21 Ill-Yellow-7803 Is it me or her? I need to know. . .AITAH

I, 13F was at school this morning. For reference I live in a very small town and go to a tiny private school. Each morning the 8th and 7th grade meet up in our "common room" for teachers to discuss our day/ any changes in our schedules. Today there were no announcements so, we were talking to each other.
I have a friend who is not in my labeled "friend group" (I'm going to call her sue) and we are both book nerds, so we often talk about books. I am very different from my so-called "friend group". I am not super athletic or loud, I like Taylor Swifts music, and I don't really participate in pe. . . sUe mE >:) So yeah, I'm the odd one out and they let me know that. . .a lot.
So, this morning Sue came up to me and started talking to me about the Shatter Me series (which I LOVE) and I was really excited because she has never read them. My "friend" (if I can even call her that. . . also I am naming her Ava) she is the one person who gives me the most crap and unbearable headaches. (Also, our 8th grade class is going on a field trip soon and Ava and I have the best group in the 8th grade, but she doesn't like me very much so she's giving me a lot of crap about it . . . just for a little reference.) I am well aware that my "friend group" does not like it when I talk to other people outside of our "group" and especially hate it when I talk to other people about the books I read but the group is still not very nice to me . . .which I don't get.
But anyway, Ava is standing nearby when Sue comes up to me this morning and starts to talk but Ava interrupts us and says, "Are you guys going to be talking about books the WHOLE time on our trip? Like you don't know how obnoxious it is!" And I had just told her "You don't have to listen" and I continue on with my conversation. Then she proceeds to give me the biggest eye roll I have ever seen in my entire life. Then she asked me "Are you going to be talking about books the entire car ride too?!!!" And I told her "No, my dad is driving me, and the rest of our group for the trip is going to be on the bus." And she did NOT like that, she just started to huff and puff and give me dirty looks. I told her " I thought you and (girl in our class) were going to switch so you could be in another group" And she told me that our teacher " will not let her switch." But I was kind of confused because she hadn't asked our teacher if she could switch yet. So, I just turned around and continued talking and she sighed like obnoxiously hard. I'm kind of fed up. . . and I told her, "Like our groups are for ONE DAY, not the rest of our lives." And she gave me the BoMbAsTiC SiDe EyE. And talked crap about me to everyone and annoyed me for the rest of the day.
So, AITAH for not kissing up to her like everyone else does and not being sympathetic towards her?

2024.05.22 00:19 29erforthewin Considering a tour at NGB HQ? Here’s what it’s like.

I’ve spent the past two years working at NGB Headquarters in Arlington, VA.
Expect to be in the office full time. I was hired with a hybrid telework schedule. This year, all military and civilian employees were abruptly ordered to return to the office full time, with an ETP required to honor their telework agreement. A lot of people rented homes at more affordable distances from the city not expecting to suddenly be ordered to return to the office every day. I spend my entire day on Teams working with people on the other side of the country. There’s zero need to be in the office, and it’s the main reason I won’t be renewing my orders next FY. I think everywhere is going to have adversarial office politicking and toxic leadership, and it’s present at the highest levels of NGB in spades.
There’s not enough parking. I estimate about 20% less parking than employees. Note that NGB isn’t near the metro, but there is a shuttle to the pentagon metro station that gets frequently snarled in traffic. The standard line is “get here earlier”. Expect to be at work NLT 7:30am to get parking. If you need to get kids on the bus, this is rough. There’s no available parking nearby.
Food is expensive. Everything is expensive here (eating out is absurdly overpriced). The cafeteria at NGB is run by a contractor that knows they have a captive audience. (people circle the parking garage waiting for anyone to leave). Lunch is $15-20.
The gym is laughably bad. A good amount of the equipment is broken, especially the treadmills. Staying in shape and eating healthy required significantly more effort here.
The commute is HORRIFIC. You might be expecting heavy traffic in the greater DC metro area, but it’s with the worst drivers in the country. An order of magnitude worse than California or New York. It’s like Pakistan/Delhi levels of bad driving. Drivers here are angry and aggressive, and they’re taking it out on everyone around them. People constantly merge straight into you, because they know you’ll yield. I have to actively avoid getting hit. Chill, cautious driving is a sign of weakness. People driving like maniacs with heavily damaged cars are all around you and there’s virtually no traffic enforcement in Northern Virginia, and zero enforcement in DC. I come home frustrated and stressed by a 1-2 hour commute every afternoon. I cannot emphasize enough how bad commuting is here. My suspicion is that people don’t remember how to drive safely after the pandemic, and the highways here are too antiquated to support today’s volumes of traffic, leading to everyone getting angry at everyone else.
Things to do: The Smithsonians and monuments are the main tourist attractions, and can be done within a few weekends. I’ve realized there isn’t much to do but jog on the mall or along to the Potomac river. For a weekend away, I had a great time in Rehoboth Beach, DE, and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, 2-3 hours away. Things are just too expensive locally. Housing, groceries, restaurants. This region is in a tailspin of violent crime increasing, people quitting rather than accept forced RTW, prices increasing, and businesses closing. Downtown DC feels like a ghost town. I came to the conclusion I definitely do not want to raise my family here, and we can’t wait to move.

2024.05.22 00:17 MagelansTrousrs Moving to a different state, should I change settings from OP to HH too?

I've been in OP for ten years in the Northeast. My wife got offered a job in Florida which she has accepted. I've done several interviews and still have more second/third round ones lined up the rest of this week but I feel I've already narrowed it down to two bases on commute times among other things.
My main concern is flexibility as I have two kids (1st grade and pre-K). Needing a schedule where I can get them easily if needed and either get them off the bus or on the bus depending on my wife's schedule is important. Current salary is $100k but that is also in MA compared to FL where there's no income tax.
1) Outpatient, they've said they would be flexible with scheduling. 15 minute commute. Would be close to my kids school. Initial offer of $90k but might be able to get a teeny more and 3 weeks PTO (I currently have 4 weeks where I am in NE) 2) Home Health. Never have done this before but have always heard flexibility is huge. I also hate bringing notes home and they said they try to have their therapist do notes at the same time which is great for me (I know some don't like this). Initial offer of $105 but they are supposed to get back to me tomorrow with a revised, potentially better offer. Unlimited PTO when given 30 days notice which would be good for things like kids dentist/doctors appts etc.

https://preview.redd.it/91jp4nzfpu1d1.png?width=3500&format=png&auto=webp&s=f522daba037da1ca5b6878afe946ddaa26ae1817
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - May 21, 2024) - World Copper Ltd. (TSXV: WCU) (OTCQB: WCUFF) (FSE: 7LY0) ("World Copper" or the "Company") is pleased to provide a general corporate update regarding the Company's assets and direction.
Zonia Project Update
Going forward the Company will be focusing its efforts on the Zonia Project ("Zonia") as our flagship asset, with the aim of working to advance Zonia to a bankable feasibility study and then proceeding into construction and production.
Given the current global copper supply deficit, management's belief is that the short-term solution to the copper supply crisis will come from smaller more efficient copper operations, which are cheaper to build and have less environmental impacts. Recent events in the sector have shown that major mining companies are hesitating to take on very large-scale, high capital intensity projects by looking for partners to share the risk and costs, or by targeting smaller assets and innovative or conventional leaching technologies.
Zonia fits into these new copper market dynamics perfectly offering a viable smaller scale and lower cost operation that can be permitted and constructed in half the time required on average to develop new larger concentrate mines. Being a past producer, Zonia's mineralization is pre-stripped resulting in a 1:1 strip ratio for our new operations, and it has power and water on site.
We recently announced the formation of a Technical Advisory Committee that will play a lead role in the proposed development and construction of the Zonia mining operation. Derek White and Joe Philips have joined us as advisors at World Copper. Derek is an industry leader in the copper sector having developed and built several copper mines. As the former CEO of KGHM International he built the Sierra Gorda mine in Chile and the Carlota mine in Arizona. Most recently he completed construction of the Premier Gold mine in BC. He is a consummate mine builder. Derek will guide the World Copper team in taking Zonia down the path to production. Joe Philips brings a wealth of mine building experience having lead construction on 14 mining operations in 11 different counties. His upgrading and expansion of the SX-EW plant for Tres Valles in Chile will be of particular importance to our Zonia development process.
Our seasoned team are looking to put the asset into production within 3 to 5 years and at a quarter of the costs of conventional concentrate operations. Zonia is uniquely positioned with a strategic location in Arizona allowing it to supply the domestic US refined copper market, which is currently in dire need for US-manufactured cathodes, Zonia has the potential to become a net-zero facility benefiting from low energy consumption, favorable energy mix and emission compensation returns.
World Copper has adopted a two-phase plan to move the Zonia project down the production track. Phase one would target only the portion of the project located on private land. Phase two will target copper mineralization located on non-private land so that it could be permitted for future inclusion into the anticipated mine plan. To satisfy the parameters of a bankable feasibility study Phase one will move to convert a major portion of the inferred resources in from the PEA to indicated resources. This will most likely entail an infill drilling campaign. Other Phase one programs will include environmental studies, land and water use permits, metallurgical studies, mine planning, engineering, financing modelling and construction planning.
Phase two programs will comprise primarily of permitting the BLM land (non-private) that surrounds the Zonia private land, environmental studies, and some exploration drilling. Our BLM lands are 3 times the size of our private land package and have the potential to increase our copper resource exponentially. These phase two programs will be initiated in parallel with the phase one activity as the timeline to receiving exploration and mining permits for these areas are longer.
Zonia's historical preliminary economic assessment (PEA) in 2018 concluded that the economics of the project are excellent and gives World Copper the assurance to advance the project through feasibility. The historical PEA outlines an open-pit, copper-oxide heap leach project with a 9-year mine life and favourable economics. The base case uses a $2.00/lb designed pit shell with a grade cutoff of 0.17% total copper. The PEA was prepared by Global Resource Engineering Ltd. ("GRE") of Denver, Colorado, in accordance with the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) NI 43-101. GRE reported on the scoping-level capital and operating costs, and project economics associated with the potential development of the Zonia copper oxide project. The full report entitled "Preliminary Economic Assessment, NI 43-101 Technical Report Zonia Copper Project Yavapai County, Arizona, USA" with an Effective Date of March 22, 2018, and an Issue Date of April 17, 2018, is available on SEDAR+ or can be downloaded using this link.
The preliminary economic assessment is preliminary in nature and includes inferred mineral resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have the economic considerations applied to them that would enable them to be categorized as mineral reserves; there is no certainty that the preliminary economic assessment will be realized.
The updated mineral resource estimate for Zonia (see news release dated February 23, 2023), includes 75.7 million short tons grading 0.30% total-copper (Indicated Resources) containing 450.5 million pounds of copper and 122.0 million short tons grading 0.24% total-copper (Inferred Resources) containing 575.4 million pounds of copper, which is a significant expansion of the historical resource estimate.
Further information on Zonia's updated resource estimated can be found in the technical report entitled "National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report: Updated Mineral Resource Estimate for the Zonia Copper Project Yavapai County, Arizona USA" dated December 20, 2022 and dated effective September 1, 2022. Mineral Resources are not Mineral Reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability. Inferred Mineral Resources are that part of the Mineral Resource for which quantity and grade, or quality, are estimated based on limited geologic evidence and sampling, which is sufficient to imply but not verify grade or quality continuity. Inferred Mineral Resources may not be converted to Mineral Reserves. It is reasonably expected, though not guaranteed, that the majority of Inferred Mineral Resources could be upgraded to Indicated Mineral Resources with continued exploration.
The Company is also currently reviewing additional assets in the United States. The United States has declared copper a critical metal, and it is a consistently mining friendly jurisdiction. 4 US states were listed in the top 10 most attractive jurisdictions globally by Fraser Institute (that included Arizona with rank #7). Both the Department of Energy and the Department of defence have created funding programs for copper and other critical metals. By shifting focus to US copper markets World Copper will have a new captive and supportive potential pool of interest.
Escalones Project Update
Escalones remains the largest undeveloped copper oxide deposit in Chile and is one of the most desirable copper projects in the sector. Further drilling at Escalones is needed in order to advance the project, and this drilling will also assist in de-risking Escalones. The Company is currently in discussions with the Chilean authorities for drilling permits and to better understand the next steps in formalizing the directives under the new sanctuary of nature established by presidential decree (see news release dated January 23, 2024).
Loan Extension
The Company has also, subject to TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") acceptance, entered into a loan extension agreement (the "Extension Agreement") made as of May 18, 2024 with E.L. II Properties Trust (the "Lender") for loans assumed by World Copper in connection with the merger with Cardero Resource Corp. by plan of arrangement in January 2022 in the aggregate amount of CAD $1,958,019.88 (based on a CAD - USD exchange rate of 1.3570 as of February 29, 2024) (the "Loans"). Pursuant to the Extension Agreement, the Loans will bear interest at a rate of 8% per annum compounded quarterly, and the due dates for the Loans will be extended by two years.
The Company has agreed to issue the Lender in aggregate 6,419,737 non-transferable bonus common share purchase warrants (each, a "Bonus Warrant"), each exercisable to purchase one common share of the Company at an exercise price of CAD $0.305 per share for a period of two years, subject to acceptance by the TSXV. All securities issued pursuant to the Loans will be subject to a hold period of four months and one day in Canada from the date of issuance.
As the Lender is a trust owned and controlled by Robert Kopple, who is a director of the Company, the transaction constitutes a related party transaction pursuant to Multilateral Instrument 61 101 - Protection of Minority Security Holders in Special Transactions ("MI 61-101"). The Company is relying on Sections 5.5(a) and 5.7(1)(a) of MI 61-101 for an exemption from the formal valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements, respectively, of MI 61-101, as, at the time the Extension Agreement was entered into by the Company with the Lender, neither the fair market value of the subject matter of, nor the fair market value of the transaction exceeded 25% of the Company's market capitalization.
Strategic Marketing Agreement
The Company also announces that, subject to TSX Venture Exchange acceptance, it has entered into an consulting agreement with Upcountry Strategy Ltd. ("Upcountry") of Cobble Hill, BC, whereby Upcountry will provide advice to the Company's board of directors and senior management on public company administration, the development and implementation of a marketing strategy for the Company and the review of potential strategic opportunities. The term of the agreement with Upcountry is for six months, effective May 2, 2024, and may be terminated at any time, by either party, with 30 days written notice. Upcountry will receive a consulting fee of USD$600,000 to be paid over 90 days. As of the date hereof, to the Company's knowledge, Upcountry (including its directors and officers) does not own any securities of the Company and has an arm's length relationship with the Company.

John Drobe, P.Geo., a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101, has reviewed the scientific and technical information that forms the basis for this news release and has approved the disclosure herein. Mr. Drobe is not independent of the Company as he is the Chief Geologist of the Company.

2024.05.21 23:30 Sufficient_Market226 How to deal when your totally out of patience?

Hi peeps
(Rant)
So, summing up, I'm about to start throwing things around (not at anyone or anything in specific)
I'm tired of just seeing the calendar advance both on work and at school, and it seems like the amount of stuff I have done is still the same
I'm doing a group assignment that it seems like the closer I get to it's delivery date the less stuff I see working, I'm about to ask my teacher tomorrow to just see if it's possible to just add my colleague to another group so he doesn't get thrown under the bus because of the major screw up I've managed to make of our assignment, so I can just say f*ck it and do this damn subject next year so i can try to keep myself from going mental
I've made a small analysis of this year so far, and it seems like the only thing I've seen go well is when I went for vacation for a few days with the missus h
My mom needs to retire medically? Yeah, everyone seems to agree with that except the people that need to make that decision, and of course we had to go around to tons of places and make tons of phonecalls trying to do that
Need paperwork for school? Sure let's have to ask someone for that every single week and only get it after a few months
Need some schedules for work so you can do your tasks, sure get them a few months late, and have triple the work because of it
Need stuff to make the work magazine, yup, get the things at the last minute and it seems like this year it's everyone's last worry so it's gonna end up being the same person having to speed run everything
And etc etc
Man, I just feel like laying down one weekend on Friday evening and just sleep off the entire weekend
Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent a little 🤷🏻‍♂️

2024.05.21 21:57 MaNameIsMudD Any thoughts using Flixbus from Calgary to Banff?

hey yall. I'm having a biz trip to Banff 2 weeks later and thinking of using Flixbus because it's new and cheap price, but I'm worried of their schedule consistency (I saw some reviews they cancelled buses right before departure in EU). Can someone who used Flixbus from Calgary tell me your experience? Was it good or not bad? Did the bus depart on time or late?

2024.05.21 21:07 Codfish2188 Free Dental Work for Low Income Seniors

Hi Reddit. Posting this again as the senior grant is about to renew in July and there is still unused money availably that will be lost if not used before July 1st. Currently there is about $75,000 left in the grant and if it doesn't get used for free dental work for needy seniors It goes back to the city of Denver and they will probably use it on politician lunches or painting sidewalks.
I am a dentist in the Englewood/Cherry Hills area and our office is part of a dental grant through the Denver Gerantological Society. The grant is designed to cover low income and fixed income seniors who have no insurance or are under insured and allows us to provide dental care for free to those who qualify.
All medically necessary procedures are covered at 100% with no copay or out of pocket expenses. In previous years this grant had a very small copay, but with recent changes to medicaid, the grant has also changed to allow comprehensive coverage.
To qualify you:
You do not need to do anything to apply other than schedule an appointment at our office. We will happily help determine if you qualify, fill out all paperwork, and submit the application for approval.
I know not many elderly people use reddit so if anyone knows someone who might qualify who needs dentures, root canals, crowns, or has just been putting off a good cleaning please let them know about us. We will be happy to help them smile better. :)
Feel free to reach out to me here on reddit or at my office.

Of course, we have our own opinions, but we wanted to see what the RV community felt. We asked experienced RVers which destinations or campgrounds they would recommend for beginners. With over 150 replies, here are the top five answers:
  1. Somewhere close to home
  2. State parks
  3. Good Sam Campgrounds

2024.05.21 20:59 Fun-Anything4386 Baltimore bus madness

I have lived in a lot of places, and I regularly used public transportation in each place. Baltimore is the only place where when a passenger steps on a bus, rather than waiting ten seconds for them to sit down, the bus driver stomps on the gas like it’s the last lap of their NASCAR career. The bus proceeds to gun it down the street like Ray Lewis with tires, and because the bus has no shocks left, it rattles like a space shuttle reentering the atmosphere. This happens so regularly I assume it’s systemic—I understand Baltimore drivers have brain worms, but I suspect the bus drivers are under some insane schedule pressure that causes them to make my morning commute into Speed, and my dumb ass is Keanu Reeves

2024.05.21 20:17 Sir_Willyum Not My First Post, HERE...

I did a thorough, well lets say, I'm going to call it, "journal entry" some time ago and to my surprise it somehow got erased. Any who, moving right along, I believe mistrust is a stronghold on the reason why I respect my decision in not posting much on this platform over here. Correct me if I'm wrong. I do take constructive criticism lightly. Elaborating on my mistrust, I hope what I will discuss now doesn't come back to haunt/hunt me. Sometime ago my sedan took a dump on me and needed to be towed. I completed the work and scheduled towing services. The fellow arrived in an adequate amount of time and to my surprise the tow man turned out to be a blond, blue-eyed man. Don't get me wrong this is not an interrogation. I got into his tow truck, as we were in transit to the location I requested, the tow man took a detour to a boulevard, where buses commute back and forth. This is the climax of the experience, the bus route number turned out to be 187.

2024.05.21 20:02 Champion8604 How do those of you working second shift get your sleep?

I'm somewhat new to this and I have stayed in some quiet places off and on for a minute and have learned the basics of roll in after sunset and leave before businesses start for the day but with my new work schedule working until midnight and not arriving to a spot for the night until ~1am and wanting 8-9 hours of parked time. I lose a lot of stealth after 7-8 am as cars move for the day so I have kinda transitioned to louder, busier locations (such as bus stop parking and commuter lots) that have movement later and earlier and therefore I go unnoticed but at the cost of quality of sleep.
How do those of you in similar work situations catch your Z's?

2024.05.21 19:53 windexcocktail696969 NSI Tips

Kind of a random thing to post but NSI season is back and I know that this time last year I was searching for some tips. If anyone finds this I was the girl who broke both her legs in Charlie 1 last year cycle 3. Anyways, here are some super random tips for those of you about to go.
  1. Feminine supplies, you can bring your own and you SHOULD, what they supply are tampons and overnight pads, they will not take them from you if you bring your own. Also put your hairbrush, hair ties, and gel in a similar bag to grab. They took my bag with my stuff in them and I was stranded with 2 hair ties until we got to go to the recruit store.
  2. Bring a backpack, not a duffel, not a suitcase. Just trust.
  3. Wear a polo and khaki pants, if you have a unit polo and belt even better. My unit did not tell me that and it really sucked to stick out like a sore thumb. If you're a girl come with your hair done.
  4. If you have longer hair get a donut bun or bun twisties, I used both but much preferred the twisties. They will not issue supplies to do your hair.
  5. When you shower (if you're female or just dirty) grab your display towel and put it inside of your rack, then grab another towel from the rack and use them, you will be on your period for random times, if you stain your white towel you're screwed. Leave a tampon in until after you shower or whatever.
  6. You wash your waterbottles with bleach, they will taste like pool water. You're not drinking bleach you're fine. Really scrub the creases with a bleach papertowel if you can, mold will start to grow in them by week 2, and will make you more sick than you already are.
  7. You WILL get sick. Try and take 1,500mg of vitamin C every day for a week before hand.
  8. Try and get moleskin early your feet will be torn up, layer it on everyday BEFORE you get blisters.
  9. Get the shoe insoles and extra cough drops, drip drop, and hair gel from the recruit store.
  10. They don't use (a lot of) salt to cook the food, layer it on you'll start to pass out due to lack of electrolytes.
  11. ONLY PETTY OFFICERS ARE ALLOWED TO SEE CHITS, don't get bullied into anything else and don't do anything outside of your chit if you get issued one, they are orders from the medical officers.
  12. If you get allergy medication only take it at night, it will make you drowsy all day and fall asleep during classes.
  13. Fix your uniform and the organization of your rack at night.
  14. Learn to count before you go, you know who you are people who can't.
  15. Journal what you learn and your experience, you'll enjoy it afterwards.
  16. Just turn your brain off like 80% of the day, don't think too much into anything, it's good if the petty officers and MIDN don't know your name for being stupid.
  17. Try not to get pink eye or covid or foot fungus or strep or whatever candidate crud is floating around.
  18. Don't give up, I broke my legs (8 stress fractures on my left and six on my right from distance running pre-NSI and a bad accident at NSI) and I was out there doing fire fighting on 5,000mg of ibuprofen to pass, it's not that bad I promise. Let the Hooyah lobotomy happen. Enjoy being a boot while at NSI.
  19. Don't try and get your family to see graduation, let them travel for your commission, NSI graduation is lame, you get to see them for 15 mins and then get loaded on a bus right after to be shipped home anyways, but if they're close go for it.
  20. If you like keepsakes make a 'yearbook' I took a page off of my legal page and had all of my friends sign it on the last night, with words of encouragement/fun stuff. I framed it and love to see it and all the memories.
  21. If you're not good at something ask someone to teach you at night, people will help you if you ask. It's important that you know how to drill. You don't want to be the reason your division is smoked.
  22. For you nervous folks the gas chamber will be the easiest thing you do. Stress about it the least.
  23. When I was there they wrote the daily schedule on the fishbowl whiteboard every night for the next day, it's a nice way to be in the know. They also put the shit list up there.
That's all I can think of for now. Comment any other tips/questions :)

2024.05.21 18:50 acirie Haneda Airport transport question

We’re arriving at Haneda next month on a Tuesday at around 4 p.m. Our hotel is on the “Shinjuku Tokyo Kabukicho Tower” line for the Airport bus.
The bus schedule lists buses at 4:45, 6:45 and 7:45 p.m. I suspect we won’t clear customs, get luggage, pick up portable WiFi in time to get the 4:45 bus. I’m guessing traffic won’t be great at that hour so it’s probably pointless to get a cab or take the train with our luggage.
Seems to me to make the most sense to cool our heels at the airport, grab a bite of dinner, and take the 6:45 bus. Or am I making too many assumptions about traffic/trains/cabs/etc.?
Anyone else run into this issue? Any food recommendations for the other side of security at Terminal 3?

2024.05.21 17:37 0Techtech0 Mother of Madalina Cojocari pleads guilty, stepfather heading to trial

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. (Court TV) – The mother of a missing North Carolina girl has changed her plea while the child’s stepfather heads to trial.
On Monday, Diana Cojocari pleaded guilty to a charge of failure to report a missing child to law enforcement. Diana’s daughter, Madalina Cojocari, has been missing since Nov. 2022. She was 11 years old when she disappeared.
Diana and her husband, Christopher Palmiter, were arrested two days after Madalina was reported missing to a school resource officer. Madalina was last seen getting off a school bus on Nov. 21. Diana waited nearly one month before reporting the child missing on Dec. 15. At the time of their arrest, both defendants pleaded not guilty.
Madalina Cojocari’s mother pleads guilty to failing to report her disappearance
According to an arrest report, Diana told the SRO she last saw Madalina on Nov. 23 when she went to bed. That same night, Diana and Palmiter got into an argument, “and the next morning, he drove to his family house in Michigan to recover some items.” She noticed Madalina was gone around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 24.
When Palmiter returned home on Nov. 26, neither claimed to know where Madalina was. According to the report, the couple spoke “several times about Madalina’s whereabouts over the next three weeks,” but neither knew where the child was or contacted police.
The report also states Diana told a detective “she believed her husband put her family in danger but did not know what happened Madalina.”
Last July, unsealed search warrants revealed Diana believed her husband may’ve given Madalina away for money. Diana made the statement during a recorded jail phone call with her mother, during which “the women discuss a bag with money, withdrawing cash, and a theory that Chris gave the girl away for money.”
In Aug., Diana’s mother told WCNC, “My granddaughter is alive, but she’s been kidnapped.” Rodica Cojocari accused Palmiter of selling Diana and Madalina to traffickers for $5 million.
Diana’s guilty plea was not part of a plea deal, according to court documents obtained by Court TV. After pleading guilty, a judge sentenced her to six to 17 months in prison, reported WSOC-TV. Since she has already served 520 days, she is expected to be released soon.
The judge also told Diana she is likely to be deported upon her release. According to WCNC-TV, Diana is from Moldova and is in the country on a green card.
Palmiter’s trial was scheduled to begin Monday but has been delayed while another trial takes place in the courtroom where his case will be tried.

Organized Structure

The format for funeral program is crucial in ensuring an organized structure for the service. A well-structured program guides attendees through the sequence of events, providing clarity and order. This helps in maintaining the flow of the ceremony and ensures that each part, from the eulogy to the final prayers, is conducted smoothly.

Honoring the Deceased

A thoughtfully formatted funeral program honors the deceased by presenting their life story, achievements, and memories in a respectful and coherent manner. Including sections such as the obituary, personal anecdotes, and photographs allows family and friends to reflect on and celebrate the life of their loved one.

Providing Comfort to Mourners

An effective format can provide comfort to mourners by including comforting poems, scriptures, and prayers. These elements can offer solace and spiritual support during the service. Clear headings and an easy-to-read layout can also make it easier for attendees to follow along, ensuring they feel included and connected throughout the ceremony.

Keepsake for Remembrance

A well-formatted funeral program serves as a cherished keepsake for attendees. It can be kept as a memento to remember the deceased, preserving their memory for years to come. A professionally designed program reflects the care and thoughtfulness put into honoring the life of the departed.

Hi I'm currently in Chania Central not far from the old town, I'd like to take the bus somewhere relaxing for the day, does anyone have any recommendations?
Id like to go in the morning and come back late afternoon, I've seen the bus schedule online but not sure where would be best for us to go, we just want a chilled day with drinks and nice food doesn't have to be a beach but would go for that too.

Classics for games 1 & 2 👏
But then…Association the rest of the way? The ones we all hate, we lost every game we wore them vs Denver.
Why no Statement or City in the playoffs? It seems like Denver wore something different every game.

This gathering is for 25ish-50ish trads, singles or couples, who accept the sedevacantist position or who are open to it. The intention is to create new friendships among sedes and courtship leading to marriage for as many eligible singles as possible! The weekend gathering is actively being planned, but the following is the tentative schedule. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!Rocky Mountain TradAugust 2-4, 2024Denver Metro AreaTentative schedule:First Friday Mass at 6:30pm followed by group dinner and social timeFirst Saturday Mass at 9:00am followed by travel to Mt. Blue Sky Recreation Area, featuring the highest paved road in North America, climbs over 7,000 feet in its 28-mile length and reaches an altitude of 14,130 feet, offering visitors scenic views of the Continental Divide, mountain goat and bighorn sheep herds, marmots, birds, alpine wildflowers, and Rocky Mountain Bristlecone Pine trees. There would be opportunities for local hikes, including a very doable short hike to be able to claim you have done a 14er! 2024.05.21 16:18 how-bout-them-gluten WWYD - Daycare/Preschool Options

Hello all!
I’ve always thought that this group offers insightful and meaningful feedback so I am here with a conundrum that my husband and I are trying to figure out.
We have one three year old, and we are expecting our second baby come November, so they would be expected to start daycare in March/April 2025 based on our leave shakes out. We are currently satisfied with our first kids daycare and have paid the enrollment fee to reserve a spot for our second child.
Additionally, our town has started a free pre-k program that we could switch our older child into starting September.
Our conundrum:
Pre-k is in the opposite direction from our current daycare, and my office. (My husband works from home primarily, smack in the middle of both options)
Currently, my husband does drop offs and I do pickups and we slightly stagger our working schedules to accommodate our family.
If we switch our older child to the pre-k then it will become nearly impossible for one person to drop off both kids or pick up both kids based on the centers different hours and our current work schedule. To make this work we would both have to shorten our working day by 30minutes- 1 hour and probably make it up in the evening after bedtime.
The reason why we are considering this:
Childcare costs if we keep both kids at their current daycare - $3,650
Childcare costs if we use the town pre-k, the subsidized wrap around care, and our current center for our new infant - $2,950
There is no option to enroll our infant in the same location as the pre-k.
Is paying an extra $700 worth it for our own convenience? We could be saving that money for our kids college. This would be an extra $700 a month that would cost each of us an hour a day.
We’ve also considered that in two years we are going to have one kid in school and we are going to have to live this shuttle bus service anyway so why put it off
But what would you guys do?
