I’ve (37F) been with my (32M) boyfriend for 2.5 years now. It’s been tumultuous, and often just downright toxic. To make things more complicated, I’m 6 months pregnant with his child.
He’s in the habit of losing his s*** over small things, and when he does, I’m often the target of rage. In those moments, he says hurtful things, yells at me, and I end up crying and nothing I say helps the situation.
Today we had a whole day planned. We had to stop and get his phone fixed. He said he’d run into the repair shop, and told me to go to the grocery store next door and get a few things. I asked how we should meet back up since his phone isn’t working. He said he’d come find me.
I got the necessary items and put my basket down so I could go to the washroom. (I’m pregnant and have to pee every 5 minutes). I came back out and continued shopping. I was getting a couple oranges when I saw him walking outside and looking around. I left my basket and chased him, calling his name.
He was furious that he couldn’t find me in the store. He refused to do anything else with me for the entire day. On the drive home, he was yelling, talking about how I don’t care about him, and how dating me is like dealing with a goldfish.
He hid away when we got home. I was depressed and crying for an hour…. And then I got angry. It’s a holiday today and now my plans are ruined all because of a 10 minute ordeal. I started cleaning instead. I put on angry girl music and rocked out as I cleaned. I thought about the nasty things he’s said to me, today and in the past.
After a while he came down and asked what was going on? Why was I doing that? Why aren’t I trying to fix things? Why is the dirty fridge more important? Why was I being like this? Eventually he dropped to the floor and started crying. He was begging me for sympathy and love. He said he needed help.
Everything he said was making me more angry. I said these were my new plans since he disappeared on me. At least this way he didn’t have to deal « with a goldfish ». I was being very cold. I told him I wasn’t going to let him f*** with me anymore and I wasn’t playing his game. He asked why I wasn’t trying to fix things. I told him « why don’t YOU fix things for once? Fix this permanently! » I was ready to break up if he didn’t go seek medical help.
He said « fine I’ll fix things permanently » and he stormed out of the house on foot.
I let him go because I was so angry. But after a few minutes the conversation replayed and I realized how my words could be misconstrued… He’s a highly troubled guy who has had ideations in the past. I hopped in my vehicle and went looking for him for an hour. I even followed an ambulance because I was so worried.
When I couldn’t find him, I came back to see if he was home. He was. But he wouldn’t let me come near him. He said I didn’t get to act like I cared after I said that to him. I told him that’s not what I meant, but he won’t hear it. He insists he knows what I meant and I can’t go back on it now. We haven’t spoke since.
I don’t know what to do with this guy. He suffers from mental health problems but refuses to do anything about it beyond reading self-help books about spirituality, and working out. This isn’t the first or even 10th fight we’ve had like this. I’m having a baby girl and I know she can’t see this nonsense, but I don’t know how I will financially survive.
I’m seeing a counsellor.

This is long but if you comment please read whole thing. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Probably like 4 months ago or so I was let go from a job. Now let me be clear the company was awful, however I finally got into a position I legitimately liked. I got to work with people I legitimately liked for the most part. The supervisors I had at first were great, they knew how to lead people and never questioned me as a worker. Basically I was respected. Well they gave us a new supervisor. They abused their authority quite a bit and I got let go, cause I have never let that stuff slide ever. Came to figure out from my (now former) co workers that the supervisor managed to get someone to lie about me to get me fired. The company made it impossible for me to get unemployment, and tried to make it impossible for me to get government assistance. Funny thing is I made perfect attendance a few days after being let go. Was there for over 8 years and was tossed away like garbage. I have a new job now, overall the company is better. Benefits are way better, management seems to actually care, and they thoroughly train you so you aren't confused about anything including pay and benefits. Have even told me I have a shot at promotion. But..... I still can't help but miss my old job. I had people I loved working with and talking to and was a job I actually liked doing. Now i don't have many people to talk to, and while I'm doing well at the job I just don't like it and it's a type of job I have no interest in doing. I'm at an age to where it's hard to find new work due to limitations I have. I'm pushing through at this job cause I have no choice but how do I stop missing that old job? (Also before anyone mentions it, planning things with my old co workers is next to impossible due to scheduling, and I have less days off now and still have personal stuff to take care of)

I just switched to AT&T at the beginning of the month taking advantage of the “free” iPhone 15 Pro trade in deal.
I ordered the phone online and had it shipped to my house. I was given a box to send my old iPhone back but I decided to take it to a store. My first bill was high but they said it would take 2-3 billing cycles to apply.
Yesterday I got an email telling me to trade my device in so I decided to call and inquire. I am told that they didn’t receive my phone. Then they told me that I did not have an eligible plan. I had the Value plus. I changed it to the Unlimited starter.
I am seeing that my next bill is projected to be $124 and it is still not indicating that my trade in is applying or that it was even received. This is concerning me.
Any suggestions on how to ensure that my trade in was received and will apply? Beginning to think i made a big mistake switching to AT&T but now I don’t even have the option to cancel because they have my old phone.

Trust me, I get the love of “fur babies”,but so many stray dogs/cats in rescue being put down all over our country bc of it. $300+ per month on dog food, but no car? Don’t have enough food for themselves at times? Other bills are behind? I plan to get a service dog myself,but I can afford to care for one. Monday could have been awesome, but was on the wrong side of 4 major MLB meltdowns and blown leads in 8th or 9th. Some days it happens like that. • MSFT yesterday, said that Copilot Plus PCs will be based on Qualcomm’s snapdragon X Elite chips, and will offer 15 hours of web browsing and 20 hours of video battery life. MSFT says it’ll outperform MacBook Air.
• On Copilot Plus, Neural processor enables new AI features such as recall for a searchable PC memory.
• MSFT estimates 50 million AI PCs will be sold over the next year. Said its rearchitectured Windows 11 is 58% faster than Apple’s MacBook Air.
• MSFT - restructures Windows 11 for better ARM hardware support and AI integration. Introduces prism emulator, launched to improve compatibility with older x86 and x64 apps. MSFT says Prism emulator is 20% faster than previous versions.
• AAPL - Files law suit to overturn $1.8B EU antitrust fine over App Store rules. AAPL is challenging a 1.8B fine.
• MSFT - OpenAI will be sued by Scarlett Johansson for basically copying her voice against her explicit instruction not to.

I am 9 months pregnant, just a couple weeks away from giving birth. And my mom had been wanting to come to help my husband (26) and I (24) ever since we found out we were having a baby.
My brother (32) lives an hour ish away, and we’ve been pretty much “sharing” our mom since we are both her kids and she wants to be with us both; even if my brother mostly just wants our mom to come over to help him clean and keep his house together—cuz he and his fiancée are both slobs and don’t know how to handle a household. She is with me now but he still asks her sometimes if she can come just to do a quick “clean up”. We are pretty close even tho his father is not my father; we grew up together and have an ok relationship.
He found out over the weekend his father has been hiding a bad illness from him and he’s now in the hospital. So my brother decided he will be leaving the country this week since this emergency has come up. He has a fish, a hamster and a dog that are my nieces. And his fiancée—who’s apparently got very bad anxiety and codependency, is coming too. She can’t stay behind to take care of things while my brother is gone or she will “loose her mind”. And since they’re both leaving, he’s asking our mom to take care of his pets until the end of the week.
Husband and I have 2 dogs and a guinea pig and instead of asking a friend or neighbor, he asked our mom to take care of these things, and she came up with the idea of bringing all his pets here, so she can take care of them and also wait for our baby to arrive at the same time. This would mean that our house would be fuller, we would need to take care of 3 more pets, keep switching between kennels for our dogs since they hate each other. So I would be putting my own dogs away in their own house, which I think is kinda unfair. I told my mom I would rather have her go to my brother’s place and save myself from the headache and the stress of it considering our baby could come at any point. But she’s sad that she is trying to help us both, and by going to my brother’s place, she could potentially miss the birth of our child.
My husband and I feel abandoned and pretty hurt since this is not the first nor the last time my brother just throws us under the bus for his personal agenda. And this also means that our mom much is leaving us during these trivial times. I want to support my brother in this tough time, but i feel like I’m the one getting screwed over, i think everything could go smoothly if his fiancée stayed back and took care of their house, instead of asking our mom.
I also get our mom’s pov and how this could be painful for her since she wants to help us both. They don’t seem to understand how important it is for me to keep plans, keep my sanity and calm, as well as to have our mom in the delivery room with me.
