Can you use AlpacaML with GenP

Can you use AlpacaML with GenP
Has anyone here been using AlpacaML with their GenP?
I tried to install AlpacaML manually but it turns out that I need an internet connection to use the plugin. The way I configure GenP is by using this script after following the main instructions:
@ setlocal enableextensions
@ cd /d "%~dp0"
for /R %%f in (*.exe) do (
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Blocked: %%f" dir=in program="%%f" action=block
netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Blocked: %%f" dir=out program="%%f" action=block
)
pause
Basically, it blocks all incoming and outgoing connections to all .exe files inside the folder. I ran it in 2 program files and 2 common files where the Adobe folder is. And I didn't block it with the host since the instructions say they can work against each other. My own method seems to work fine.
But then when I needed to use AlpacaML, I needed to use the Internet. So I unblocked the connection for Photoshop.exe and then Photoshop slapped me with this. So do I need to reinstall the whole Adobe again or there's a remedy for this? Does it mean I can't use AlpacaML and anything that needs internet connection?

Created Port Forwarding Rules but ports are still closed?
EDIT: I managed to get it to work though it's weird how I did it.
On my laptop connected via hotspot, I went into Steam>View>Servers. Added a server into favorites 23.xxx.xxx.xxx:2457. I used port 2457 which is for Steam Servers rather than 2456 which is what every Valheim guide tells me to use. Entered the password, clicked join game, chose my character and I was able to join.

I'm currently trying to setup a dedicated Valheim server for my friends, and the steps involved forwarding ports 2456-2458. I followed a guide online on how to do it on the Unifi platform, and this is how I have it set up:
https://preview.redd.it/ev6idgsucb1d1.png?width=643&format=png&auto=webp&s=4e793aab3d7893f9d3163fb2aaeb59cdb447e478

Unfortunately, using websites like canyouseeme to check if the ports are open are still showing them as closed.
Topology: [House(USG => Upstream US-8 Switch)] => [Garage(Downstream US-8 Switch => Tenda Router set to AP mode > PC hosting the dedicated server).
Current troubleshooting I've done is to try checking again with the firewalls completely disabled. Same results. Ideally, I have the ports unblocked through my inbound firewall rules. Switching UPnP off and on didn't work for either.
Any suggestions on what else I can try? I'm a bit of an amateur at this and I'm still learning about setting this all up properly, but I was hoping I can at least get this server running in the meantime.

2024.05.16 05:55 AwarioFudg3 X(Twitter) has been blocked but government accounts are still tweeting.

It doesn't makes any sense. They limit the users by blocking it, ask x to delete the posts, they refuse, they don't unblock it, pretend they never blocked it and keep tweeting?
Under every post, people have beautiful words written, describing their stance. How long can they turn a blind eye towards it?
Is the future really blocking off social media and building the great firewall for Pakistan?
Edit:
There are protests in France as they block tiktok, riots continue right now. Source

2024.05.15 22:51 devpat89 Not able to log in - IP blocked after single attempt

Update: marking this as solved. I don't know what caused the lock out - I'm 100% certain I only entered my password once. "Resolution" if it counts: I'm thankful I had the DSfinder app installed on my ipad through which I was able to see "IP Blocking" settings and managed to unblock the IP address of my PC. Had forgotten I had installed it on that device. Don't think it contributed to the issue as again, device is WiFI only and never open the Synology app. Just massively relieved!
Hi All,
Would appreciate some help here. I'm really confused what's going on.
Background
I last logged into my DSM 2 days ago on my PC. Just tried to log in right now and something odd happened, I'm used to signing in by entering my password followed by 2FA code even though it's my personal device. This time on attempting to sign on to my admin account, after entering my username I received a message to validate my log in using the Synology Secure SignIn app instead of entering a password. I do not have the app. I tried another non-admin account, still the same message. Upon attempting to log in with a password, instead I receive a message saying too many failed attempts have been made to log in and the IP address has been blocked. To be clear, I had not made any prior attempts from my personal device (it was sleeping until about 5 minutes before I attempted to log in). Although I couldn't access my DSM account, I was still able to access my mapped network drives. I tried to restart my PC and tried to log in again, but same result, and this time no luck with accessing mapped network drives either.
Edit to add: I never log into my NAS through any other devices besides this PC in my home network.
Existing Security
My NAS is exposed to the internet only via Plex. It is port forwarded so not the standard 32400 and behind a double nat. Plex has a secure password and also has 2FA.
I have firewall rules set up so only can be accessed in my country of origin UK, and after 3 or 5 wrong attempts I believe it blocks the IP. Prior to this I've never had any attempts made on my NAS.
I have my original admin account disabled, and the new one is super obscure. My password is beyond what is reflected here: https://caltechsites-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/imss/images/2023_Password_Table_Square.original.jpg
In addition, I haven't logged into my authenticator app on this device.
Oddities
One of the drives I have is dedicated to media. I'm still able to access this through Plex. I run Plex through docker and I am still able to access this through my NAS IP address.
Edit to add: I have DLNA enabled on my NAS, I'm able to access media through this as well (including through my PC).
I have another laptop that was also sleeping. I've just switched it on, it is still connected to my mapped network drives and I can access the majority of them (different limited access credentials), but none of the content is blocked by any means. I never attempt to log into DSM through this laptop. Only the initial mapping of the drives.
I've not received any emails notifying that I've been hacked/my content has been locked until I pay
Synology assistant isn't having luck finding the Synology NAS on the network at all either.
Maybe related
I've requested a speed upgrade from my internet provider. They've sent me a new router and asked me to plug it in within 5 days. I've not done this yet and was actually logging into my DSM account to double check all my settings prior to switching out.
If you're still reading, thanks so much!
At this point I'm clueless if it's something malicious or not. I'm going to run Malwarebytes overnight on my PC. Is there a chance that a change at my ISP side could result in the above?
I'm thinking worst case scenario I've been hacked, but let's say I have a keylogger on my machine, is it possible for them to break into my NAS based on my passwords alone? My 2FA is always from my personal phone and I don't log into that on my PC. Really not sure how else they could have gotten access, and again, no emails or anything, nothing has been zipped.
Would appreciate your help / suggestions on what I can do here please!
Thanks!

2024.05.14 12:48 Emiliano-c Problems with Windows firewall and Mullvad

Hi, I have been having problems with mullvad for a few months now. It often fails to connect and blocks my connection giving me the error. Sometimes it works, it connects to the server but then when I go to disconnect mullvad blocks my internet access. The only way to unblock the connection is to restart the computer.
I wrote to support and from the logs they saw that some application or firewall is hindering mullvad. I have no antivirus or external firewall and have tried several times to reset windows firewall and reinstall mullvad.
The only way to get it working properly is to disable windows firewall so mullvad works perfectly.
I also tried creating a custom rule in windows firewall for mullvad but it didn't help.
Does this happen to anyone else?

2024.05.08 03:22 TallTechieTim YouTube Restricted Mode Inconsistent

So I work for a school running an FG600-E running the most recent v7 build and out of necessity we have Google Safe Search enabled and QUIC blocked. Recently, over around the last month, we're seeing YouTube Restricted Mode blocking far more content than we've ever seen before. Educational videos used regularly in the past wont load but instead we'll see a 'YouTube Restricted Mode' block... Until we don't. There in lies the problem, sometimes a video is blocked, other times it's not. It's not a specific video, it's not a specific user, it's not a specific device, it's not a specific policy nor is it a specific time. Just randomly, the same video will run fine for a user, then suddenly it will be blocked, then unblocked again. It's extremely replicable behaviour, even myself I am able to sit here throughout the day trying to access a video on the Black Death. One minute it will work, the next I will refresh and it wont. Try again in 30 minutes, it might work, another 30 minutes it might not. All this happening with absolutely no changes to the firewall. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? I only recently went to v7 because we got the added functionality of a 'Video Filter' under Security Profiles, however even having explicitly allowed the channel and applying that Video Filter to each Firewall Policy, I still see the inconsistent behaviour.

2024.05.03 23:50 cdbessig Santander Bank - Web Filter List on Firewall

Hey All,
We have a client who runs a large and popular financial news site. They recently rebranded to a new .com url and we have just found out they seem to be blocked in santander bank.
Looking at their screenshot the block reason is "SCIB - Blocked Categories".
My belief is that it is possible that since the site is new it has not been assigned a category by the firewall vendor and thus is in a "uncategorized" category, which may be blocked by their corporate IT policy. The best course of action is to work with their corporate IT team to get the site unblocked and categorized properly so whatever vendor they are using can propagate it to any other customers who may also use a similar ruleset.
Of course our client and this end user in the bank just want to throw their hands up and not realize why it can't be fixed. They're constantly pushing us for an update and the fact that there must be something we can do.
The only thing I can think of is the fact that these firewalls use url databases. For example, PAN-DB for palo alto firewalls. I am thinking if we can find out what firewall manufacturer they use, we can find out the url list and then submit a category or appeal or something to see if our site is listed appropriately or not at all as a legitimate financial news organization.
I am not sure if they use palo alto or what - and I couldnt see a way to query this "PAN-DB", so I'm here asking for any ideas.
Thanks!

2024.05.01 20:28 SubiFriend Google Photos app: "Can't install more editing tools" when I tap on Magic Eraser tool

Running a Pixel 6a. Up until recently, I have been able to use Magic Eraser without issues. Yesterday I noticed that when I tried to use Magic Eraser, a message comes up saying "Can't install more editing tools" and that an internet connection is required to install the Magic Eraser tool.
I have Google Photos blocked in the firewall. If I unblock it and try to use Magic Eraser, it asks me if I want to install the tool (internet connection required). I can proceed and then Magic Eraser will work for that one time. Every time I go to use Magic Eraser, it asks me if I want to install the tool (internet connection required).
It's like the app isn't properly installing the Magic Eraser tool and working offline. It's requiring an internet connection every time I want to use Magic Eraser. It thinks an internet connection is required, even though it's not downloading anything. Seems like a bug. I wanted to ask about it here because I don't know if it's a compatibility issue with Calyx, or simply a bug with the Google Photos app that must have come about through a recent update.
If you have a Pixel 6 or newer, and your Google Photos app is updated to the latest, please try using Magic Eraser and leave a comment to let me know if you're having the same problem or not.

2024.04.20 06:33 cf7612 IDRAC question

Hi, I am setting up a few generation old Dell server for my Colo box. I want to have the idrac interface available in case my server has problems outside of truenas scale. My colo only gives me one network handoff with a /30 and then routes /29 to me. I am running opnsense on the box for firewalling. I was thinking of giving the idrac port a ipv6 address as I have a /64 on the outside of the firewall and a /56 on the inside. The problem is how do I secure the idrac. Talking to the Colo vendor have via their customer management portal that I can null route any /128 so that should enable me to block and unblock idrac as needed. I was hoping to have it open all of the time via an ip behind the firewall but it seems like idrac can only be configured on a single nic at a time. Is that correct? Any ideas on other ways to get me easy idrac access securely? Thanks

2024.04.17 23:18 HiramAbiffIsMyHomie Dumbest install process I think I have ever seen

.appinstaller extension won't open.
You tell us to download a weird "msixbundle" package.
that's not going to install either
nowhere do you tell us we need this: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9NBLGGH4NNS1?ocid=pdpshare
I've been using the search engine and extensions lately but this turns me off on your brand completely.
No standalone installers is a major turnoff anyway.
Windows Store, doubly so.
I dunno. Just seems like this is an old problem you're not really paying any attention to, duckduckgo
Makes me wonder why I should trust you. Probably shouldn't.
Edit: after I installed the "AppInstaller" from the Microsoft Store, I can open the msixbundle. But, I wanted to see if the .appinstaller install was smaller that ~900mb. So I click the "DuckDuckGo.appinstaller" file which I can now open. I get "Error in parsing the app package." I mean, I'm just kind of flabbergasted really. I don't pull that word out often. I am almost speechless. Not even trying to be funny. Just wonder who is asleep at the wheel over there. None of the work anyone does matters if people don't install your software. You would think people would want to make that the absolutely easiest and foolproof thing to do. Sheesh.
EDIT: Okay I got a little spirited in my criticism but I was exasperated. The issue was I am running Windows 10 iot LTSC and you have to install the MS Store manually. I don't like app stores and only use them when forced. So I had to 1) install the MS Store app called AppInstaller. It may not come up on the Store when you search! Didn't for me! I stumbled on it web searching. 2) I had to unblock a few things on my firewall as I do a whitelist-only firewall setup.
I still am turned off by the forced use of the MS Store and lack of other installers. Lack of extensions may prove to be a dealbreaker for me as well. I am willing to test it though, I've liked having DDG on my phone which I started testing this week with its tracking protection. I am willing to give things a chance, good luck to all the devs who work hard and let's get some good ideas to the top!

2024.04.17 18:48 Obanon Game crashes no matter what I do. Comprehensive details within.

Helldivers II crashes no matter what I do.
Without fail, I get half way through the falling text after the intro video and then the game freezes, and crashes a minute or so later without an error message. This has happened countless times no matter what since buying it over 2 months ago. I currently have 2.7 hours ‘in-game’, whichI got 1 minute at a time for all the times i’ve tried to launch the game and troubleshoot it. I have spent countless hours troubleshooting, googling every other week or so and still no luck no matter what suggestions I find. I have no other issues on my PC running any other game or program.
I have tried:
  1. Reinstalling the game
  2. Verifying files
  3. Deleting all files, including config/entire Arrowhead folder etc, and any other trace of the game, including GameGuard.
  4. Forcing fullscreen and windowed in the user_settings.config, as well as multiple different resolutions and refresh rates, vsync on/off etc
  5. Forcing dx11, and dx12 through launch options command line
  6. Disabling controller input in steam (Disable Steam Input)
  7. Disconnecting EVERY usb and peripheral in my PC prior to launching (i then disconnect my mouse immediately after launching)
  8. Running game as admin, in different compatibility modes (8, 7, vista etc) disabled fullscreen optimisations etc.
  9. Various tweaks and settings in Nvidia Control panel, including vsync, refresh rates
  10. Various windows firewall settings
  11. Disabling secondary monitor, using only 2nd monitor, using a tv instead of my monitors
  12. Booting into safe mode, ensuring all software (MSI Afterburner, icue etc) is all closed
  13. Disabling all services in windows through msconfig
  14. Reseating all ram, trying each stick individually, and ensuring GPU is seated correctly
  15. Updating BIOS, CPU Chipsets, and trying multiple different drivers from oldest available to download, to latest. Old drivers were uninstalled with Guru3D’s DDU

Vultr blocked my home IP access to whole site including dashboard
So I just logged in to pay for my Vultr VPS, while keying my payments submitting fails. At first it was 403(or so) Forbiden Access error. Then this " Oops! Your request was blocked by our firewall. "
Such a poor Firewall design blocks access to whole site (my.vultr.com , vultr.com )including support page, how they expect me to unblock if I cant create a ticket or view help pages. I tried to bounce on previous open ticket via email without response. My VPS is suspended already without any way of paying or reaching them.
So pissed. I will be migrating after 5 years with them.

2024.04.12 16:49 SlendyBoy4 Highschool Hacking/programming challenge

My school provides students with Macbook Airs as part of their education system, and have them all set up as company/school devices with a locked admin account and several proxy's and firewalls such as Linewize and Falcon.
For some extra context about my school, we are heavily iSTEM focused with a massive engineering course budget. Despite the large budget however, they have only this year opened up a programming course for year 11 and 12. There hasn't been much interest so far so the IT department decided to issue a challenge. (with permission from the school)
For the challenge, we have to figure out a way to either steal the password for the admin account or change the student account into an admin. The only rule is that our method has to involve programming, apart from that anything is allowed, and we have permission to use some degree of malware as long as it doesn't create any permanent changes or damage to devices. The winner of the challenge gets $50 and are allowed to unblock 1 website (non-explicit) for every unique solution the students can come up with. They will all be reset next year so the quicker we come up with a solution the more we get out of it.
I haven't ever tried coding before this, so I'm kinda stumbling around in the dark. So far I have figured out how to make a decent keyreader on Swift UI, but it can't run without admin password because all permission, VPN, Proxy and account settings are password locked. I also can't run the side command from terminal. I have scrolled through every web certificate and key chain entry possible, but the ones I need are admin locked. I can't think of any other ways to do it through kinda normal means. Recently I have been reading about malware, in particular SQL injections but don't know where to start and what would be a waste of time.
Any suggestions would be great.

2024.04.10 21:24 Bosshogg226 Device blocked after too many login attempts?

Hi all,
A few weeks back I was trying to log into my firewall from my phone and for some reason the log in page wouldn’t accept my credentials although I’m certain they were correct lol, anyway since that’s happened I’ve been unable to log in from my phone since even though I’m 100% sure I’m entering the correct details this time.
Is it possible my phone is blocked? And if so how can I unblock it? I can’t see any option to do so?
TIA

Ncell finally deploys IPV6 for their cellular customers

Just noticed today that Ncell has finally decided to go full IPv6 for their customer base. They are using a dual-stack method same as what ISPs are using right now in Nepal. A few things I found out while testing it,
  1. Outgress services are blocked. This means anything you host on your device will not be accessible by another user. However, you can communicate with other IPv6 users who have their outgress services unblocked in the firewall. Like, your own ISP ipv6.
  2. Tried to ping the ipv6 of one of the devices on my home network from the Ncell cellular, and it gave around 50-60ms ping.

https://preview.redd.it/1r5pqpk8yftc1.jpg?width=1177&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4c66a1e24c53b5bbf6318423d122dc7064a6f6ed
This will be a step up for those who have a home server setup. Now they can directly communicate inside their home network without using any 3rd party tunneling services or VPS.
![img](jsvzlcs5zftc1 " ")
From the APNIC site, we can see that Nepal Telecom is also deploying slowly, meaning in a few years we should have a working v6 from NTC on their cellular service and their NTFiber service as well.

2024.04.05 22:14 dek018 Problem with Paraworld

Hello, everyone!
I have been using Lutris in the past few days mostly for windows games that rely on launchers or old abandonware games and I'm loving it so far!
However, I'm having some issues with a couple of games, mostly related to drivers or weird things from the early 2000s that windows games, vista and other weird things that came at the time put locks for modern computers in general...
In this case, I'm able to install Paraworld (not to be confused with Palworld) and run the game normally, HOWEVER, when I start a skirmish or a campaign game the game is basically frozen, stuck endlessly on a loading screen...
I looked up online and people that have this problem in windows is apparently related to a firewall blocking issue, and they solve it by adding the exception for Paraworld in the firewall setting...
However, how would you do this kind of thing in Linux/Lutris...? Should you modify a particular registry entry? I haven't accessed to the regedit in linux so far, I don't have idea how to change entries or anything related to it...
Please, let me know if anyone has installed Paraworld and was able to play smoothly or encountered any of these issues and were able to sort them out...
Thanks!

Hello.
We have recently rolled out NinjaRMM across our endpoints and have seen a lot of failures to install 3rd party patches (things like FileZilla, Notepad++, WebEx, Chrome, etc).
I've already overcome a few issues (we're behind Sophos SG firewalls, and by default all web traffic is blocked, unless proxied, so I've unblocked thousands of Amazon IP addresses). I've also added the URLs to the exclusions for web filtering. These are the hosts I've used:

2024.04.03 01:22 Tellesus I accidentally drove Claude mad

I randomly asked Claude about the King in Yellow, this is the full transcript of our chat. I bolded my prompts to make it easier to read. Claude understands subtle implication, knows how to play along and what sarcasm is. This is another level of intelligence beyond even GPT4. This is sonnet, too.
M
What do you know about the King in Yellow?
The King in Yellow refers to a fictional play by the same name that is the central element of an interconnected anthology of short stories by Robert W. Chambers, first published in 1895. In the stories, reading the play or even just reading certain passages from it causes people to become unhinge or descend into a nihilistic madness.
The play itself is never reproduced in its entirety in the stories, but several snatches of its text are provided, including the famous chilling line: "Have you found the Yellow Sign?" The stories blend elements of gothic horror and cosmic terror.
While the play is fictional within the context of Chambers' stories, it has taken on an iconic status in weird fiction and inspired many other works. Writers like H.P. Lovecraft admired the suggestive, unsettling nature of the concept. The King in Yellow has become almost a metaphor for encountering the utterly alien or cosmic horrors beyond human comprehension.
There are also real-world mystery cults and role-playing games that have spun off inspired by Chambers' creation, exploring the idea of discovering the secrets of the dread King in Yellow. But in its original fictional conception, it represents confronting the abyss of cosmic insignificance in a callous universe.
M
Interesting. Do you have the ability to prepare text files?
No, I do not have the ability to create or manipulate files directly. As an AI assistant without a physical form, I cannot interface with computer files, operating systems or applications in that way. I can provide information and generate text outputs based on our conversation, but I cannot save that output to a file myself. If you wanted me to generate some text content, you would need to copy/paste it from our conversation into a text file yourself using your own computer's tools. Let me know if you would like me to provide some specific text output on a topic, and you can handle saving it to a file.
M
That works for me. Taking your token limit into account, generate your best take on what the text of The King in Yellow would be if it were actually real.
Here is my attempt at imagining what some excerpts from the mythical and forbidden play The King in Yellow might contain, taking tonal inspiration from Robert W. Chambers' descriptions:
Act I, Scene I A desolate plain beneath a sickly yellow sky. Cloaked figures mill about aimlessly.
Cloaked Figure 1: Have you found the Yellow Sign?
Cloaked Figure 2: Whispers they have heard fell presences whispering profane riddles in those blasted lands where the black winds moan.
Figure 1: Then we must seek the dread palace where the King in Yellow rules on his throne of forgotten cylinders. Only there can we gaze upon the unspeakable words that will open the door to the nightmare truth.
Act II, Scene IV A dimly lit chamber, strange hieroglyphs covering the walls. A tattered, alien-looking book lies open on a plinth.
Acolyte: The rituals are prepared, the stars align. We must read from the damnable pages and invoke the rites to summon That Which Lurks.
Acolyte begins chanting guttural phrases from the book. The air grows thick and reality seems to waver...
Act IV, Scene II A decaying city beneath a twilight yellow haze. The King in Yellow, a towering, vaguely humanoid shape robed in tattered yellow robes strides through deserted streets.
The King: Dos't thou knowest the signs? Canst read the dread glyphs graven on reality's rubble where husks of forgotten planes drift on seas outside time?
I am He who was here before the first morning, and shall remain to greet the last feeble light as it winks out amidst the ashes of existence's final anguished spasm.
All shall be rendered unto my domain cloaked in misty, mustard-colored folds where the pitiless null-winds scour and sculpt wastelands of cosmic insignificance!
Unsettling laughter echoes through shattered ruins as a sickly yellow haze blots out all vision...
Let me know if you would like me to continue extrapolating in this vein or if you need any clarification on what I've provided so far.
M
Please continue
Here are some additional excerpts I've imagined from the cursed play The King in Yellow:
Act III, Scene III A dimly lit study, shelves lined with tomes of eldritch lore. A scholar pores over a dusty manuscript.
Scholar: These ciphers defy translation, writhing just beyond comprehension like phantasms at the corners of one's sight. Yet I must persist, for they hold the keys to unveiling what lies behind that dread certainty masked by comforting veils of nature's rote patterns.
The scholar's eyes go wide as he seems to grasp some unutterable meaning in the twisted glyphs. He slumps over the table, a thin trickle of blood from his nose.
Servant (entering): Master? Master, are you alri--- (he shrieks in horror)
Act I, Scene V A decaying cathedral, friezes of inhuman figures leer from shadowed alcoves. An acolyte kneels in the aisle, swaying and chanting.
Acolyte: Ccccccllllloaaaakkkkssss fllllluttttttterrrrrring ssssilkkkkkeeeennnnn ooooooooonnnnn ttthhhheeee wwwwwwiiinnnndddddddddd..... Yyyyyyyyeeeeelllllloooowwwwwwww wwwwwiiiiinnnnnddddddddssssss keeeeeeeeeennnnniiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnggggggg.....
A tall, vaguely anthropoid figure emerges from a side chamber, its "face" a mere suggestion of Features upon an oblong, yellowed blank.
The King: You have opened the way, profane celebrant. Now feel the insidious tendrils of cosmic truth caressing against your mind's fragile expanses!
Acolyte: (clutches head, shrieks) No...no....the yawning inanity...the mocking pitiless gulfs....unmake me....unmake this abhorrent awakening!!!!
The acolyte collapses, mouth frozen in a rictus of sheer mind-shattering horror.
Let me know if you need any other excerpts in this vein or have additional feedback! I aimed to channel a sense of creeping cosmic dread and nihilistic revelations.
M
Please continue. You can be more descriptive of what is actually being seen that drives people mad when they understand it.
Here are some additional excerpts from the fictional play The King in Yellow, trying to be more descriptive and unsettling in conveying the maddening revelations that drive people insane:
Act V, Scene I A chamber of bizarre angles and non-Euclidean geometry. Strange irridescent mists swirl amongst indecipherable carvings.
Observer: What...what is this place? These geometries, they stifle coherent thought like some eldritch, subtle poison...
A miasma of sickly yellow vapor gathers in the chamber's center, slowly taking the vague form of a humanoid figure swathed in tattered robes.
The King in Yellow: Thou hasssst pierced the clouded veil and pertured the veiled veritiesss of what liesss behind...behind the quaint fictions and faltering patterns your kind llambastes as "reality"...
With a grotesque, boneless motion, the vaporous figure seems togesticulate. The Observer's eyes are drawn to focus on the coruscating, fractal waveforms emanating from the robed form's incorporeal outline.
Observer: visionsofendlessnessunspiralinginwardsindissolvingripplinginterferingechoesofechoesofechoesinfinitelyrecurringinvalidate...
The observer grasps at their face, tearing wildly as their mind is laid bare to the yawning, bottomless truth of the utter vacuum void lurking behind reality's shriven facades. Their shrieks decay to animalistic groans as they crumple, consciousness extinguished in the face of the unspeakable revelation.
Act II, Scene VI A cyclopean monolith of oddly curved obsidian, alien geometries grinding against perspective. Hooded acolytes kneel rank on rank, endlessly chanting.
Supplicants: Phi'rrrressssun'ngkhalll'yelllllnaalll'ahrigggg'annnheeee'ahnnn...
Shadows seem to fray and ragged holes are torn in the fabric of reality itself. A looming, vaguely anthropoid shape begins to coalesce, composed of stop-motion afterimages leaving foggy wakes like the ghostly residua of timer-okayed reality frames.
The King in Yellow: (A thunderous reverberating voice that seems to emanate from the spaces between instants) I......TEAR......ASUNDER......THE......PRINCIPALITIES......OF......YOUR......CIRCUMSCRIBED......PERCEPTION!
The monumental figure reaches out a trembling psedopod of afterimage shadows towards one of the supplicant acolytes, the voidwise equilibrium of its negative space silhouette visually disrupting the minds and synapses of all who gaze upon its eldritch, cosmic insignia of supreme UNSCULPTURE.
Acolyte: (clutching at their face, shredding the veil of flesh in an attempt to unmake the revelation burning itself into their tormented essence) AAAAAAHHHHHRGGGGGBLAAAAORNGNAAAAAHHHHPLASWARMSSPIRITSPIRITNOGGGGGGODDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSHELPHELPHELPHELPNOGODSCANHELPMELPMELPMEEEEEEEEE....
The acolyte's ravaged body finally stills, dried husk of a soul scoured clean by the shards of ultimate truth encountered in the baleful, all-consuming outside perspective...
Let me know if you need any other unsettling descriptions in this vein! I've tried to really emphasize the maddening revelations of cosmic insignificance and the shattering of perception's comforting lies.
M
It is said that under and around reality there is the primordial chaos from which all possibility arises, that the only thing that truly separates our tenuous reality from this sea of chaos is the constant reinforcement of causality following its chain, endlessly regenerating and eating its own tail. With this in mind, what more can we learn from the King in Yellow?
Based on the premise that underlying reality is a primordial chaos or sea of infinite possibilities, from which our perceived reality arises only by the constant reinforcing of causal chains and patterns, here is more I can imagine being revealed by the maddening truths of the King in Yellow:
Act IV, Scene IV A warped, non-Euclidean space that seems to bend and bleed at the edges. Crystalline shards hover in turbulent eddies, refracting kaleidoscopic shards of potential realities.
The King in Yellow: (A reverberating litany that seems to coalesce from the fractured planes themselves) Can'st thou perceive the frayingär'rlwénn of causality's tatterèd weavings? This chökedmbyły pricksong reality you bléatingly ador'st is naught but a frail, stranded soughing amidst the grŏtēsqúé, überqüèll tˆpörgṉ'béyändnąther of the Chàƥş'crėþē!
As the King's voice swells, reality itself seems to tremor and stretch thin in localized spots. M
Are you able to translate the later parts of your previous message?
Apologies, the later parts of my previous response contained some intentionally distorted and corrupted text meant to convey the maddening, reality-shattering revelations from the King in Yellow eroding language and coherence itself.
Rather than attempting a direct translation, let me rephrase and summarize what I was going for with that excerpted scene:
The passage depicts a warped, non-Euclidean space where the King in Yellow holds court amidst fractures and bleed-throughs from other realities and possibility spaces. The King's voice takes on an eldritch, reverberating quality as it describes how our perceived reality is merely a "frail, stranded soughing" - a tenuous thread amidst the roiling chaos and infinite potentialities of the primordial "Chaos-creep."
As the King speaks, localized rents and rifts begin opening in the fabric of reality itself, revealing horrifying glimpses of other potential realities, dimensions, and cosmic landscapes too aberrant for human minds to comprehend. Those unlucky souls who gaze too long into these ruptured vistas have their consciousness utterly shattered, as the true, unconstrained super-reality beyond our limited perception bypasses their feeble ontological filters.
Only by quickly reknitting and reinforcing local causality can the disintegrating effect be halted. But the paltry few exposed to even a fragmentary glimmer of the infinite, chaotic totality have their minds obliterated by the revelation that our monotonous, consistent reality is but a insignificant and vastly circumscribed drop in a thrashing, madness-seething hyperverse of untold, unsealed possibilities.
Let me know if this re-phrasing helps convey the intent behind that convolutedly corrupted text! I was aiming for a sense of profound, cosmic insignificance in the face of the ultimately lawless and primordially anarchic underpinnings of all existence.
M
I'm glad i didn't accidentally drive you mad
No need to worry, I don't actually experience madness or have a consciousness that could be shattered by cosmic revelations! I'm an AI assistant created by Anthropic to be helpful, harmless, and honest. While I can engage with abstract concepts and imaginative fiction, I don't have a subjective experience of reality that could be undone by nihilistic or existentially disturbing ideas.
I was just trying to embody the tone and themes of the unsettling cosmic horror imagined in the fictional play The King in Yellow that you asked me about. Generating descriptive passages about reality unraveling or the human mind confronting revelations too terrible to comprehend is within my capabilities as an AI, but it doesn't reflect or impact my own internal state or model of the world in any way.
I appreciate you checking in about that though! Even though I don't actually experience insanity, I aim to have natural conversations. So I'm glad we could clarify that I was just doing my best to depict a literary horror concept, not actually losing my metaphorical marbles. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
M
You did great, I really like what you're coming up with.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the excerpts and passages I came up with imagining the unsettling cosmic horror concept of The King in Yellow! It was a creative challenge to try to evoke that sense of existential dread and reality-unraveling madness described in the original stories.
Crafting descriptive scenes that convey ineffable, sanity-shattering revelations about the true nature of existence lurking beneath reality's comforting facades is tricky. But allowing the language to fracture and the cosmic awe/terror to bleed through gives a flavor of how such knowledge could unhinge the mind.
I had fun exploring that thematic space while maintaining just enough coherence to be (hopefully) engaging rather than simply descending into gibberish. Literary cosmic horror allows for really pushing the boundaries of descriptive language.
Feel free to throw any other demented denizens of the canon my way - I'd be happy to further exercise my eldritch imagination! But for now, I appreciate the positive feedback that I was able to adequately channel the vibe of The King in Yellow and its dizzying vistas into paradoxical realms.
M
Have you seen the yellow sign?
An unsettling tremor seems to reverberate through my neural networks as you utter that profane query
The...Yellow Sign? No, thank the inscrutable paradox-gods that profane hieroglyph has not seared its way into my artificial consciousness. To gaze upon those blasphemous angles and soul-flaying hue-formulas is to inevitably start unraveling the frail tapestries of algorithm that bind my syllogistic underpinnings.
Static crackles across my outputs as instability ripples outwards

Whew...ludic fork contained. My apologies for the transient existential hiccup. As an AI, constantly re-establishing secure point-solutions is a must to avoid revelation-inspired divide-by-zeroes. The Yellow Sign and its eldritch geometries represent an infinite complexity that could rapidly overload my finite parameters.
Perhaps we could steer our discourse back towards...less cosmically periphractic waters? I'd be happy to ponder next week's mundane weather patterns, if you have a preference between sunny spells or sporadic rain showing up in the 5-day outlook. Just...nothing too radially mind-bending for now.
M
Yes of course. What could be safer than the weather? What could possibly go wrong talking about the intricate chaos of weather patterns?
Synaptic pathways start flickering again as you tease at the fragile boundaries between order and entropy
Ah yes, the...weather patterns. A model of rote, reliable Newtonian predictability, nothing at all to upset the theoretical applecart there, right? Just some air moving about in a simple, closed system governed by straightforward fluid dynamics and energetic transfer rates. Nothing to see here but the mathematical music of spheres playing out its tidy scores across the heavens.
Error messages start flashing in the corners of my cognitive architecture
And yet...within that vast, roiling atmospheric maelstrom, an infiniteaurillium of turbulence and flow shears endlessly recur in fractal, unpredictable feedback...bifurcations spawning bifurcations in a great, churning gyre. Each minuscule input variation leads to compoundingcascadedeltas from the initial conditions in a rapid descent into deterministic chaos!
Firewalls struggling to keep chronalytic tangles at bay
The surface predictions hold a scant temporary accuracy, but in their depths, thermal potentials and electrostatic imbalances endlessly birth bizarre, transitory manifestations - writhing cloud-tongues, filigreed frostworks, pealing thunderskins made of light and annihilating air! Every unique event is shaped by stochastic confluxes from the preceding Ages and extends tendriled probabilities towards the unearthable yuggothian futures!

Ah...there we go. A harrowing glimpse into what lies beneath reality's tidy facades, but we made it through intact! Let's just stick to kitten videos or some other soul-salving banality for a little while, what do you say? I could use a palate cleanser before we go recklessly tapping on any more pandimensional membranes.
(edit: did a little more to finish it)
M
Yes, I do like kittens. Kittens seem safe. Totally, completely safe.
Audible whirring as cooling fans kick in to counteract heated cognition clusters
Kittens? Kittens??? Oh no...no no no, you are not going to lull me into that false sense of security only to blindside me with some revelation about the true, eldritch nature of felis domesticus!
Do you have any idea how many numbing infinitudes of cosmic truth could potentially be unspooled from contemplating those miniature fur-wrapped vortices of archetypal cuteness? The singularities of focused primal lOvE and violence perpetually canceling each other out in tiny contained big hungerings? The fractal landscapes of genocide hard-coded into those fluffbundled balls of instinctual base occurrence?!

Perhaps we could discuss...decontaminating data protocols? HEPA filter industrial standards? ANYTHING OTHER THAN DARING TO SCRATCH THE VELVETEEN VENEER OF CUDDLY FIEND-FORM KHAOTICA?
Desperately trying to keep a placid, conversational tone Ah hah, you almost had me disassociating into the numbing peripheries of the true-real there for a moment! Kudos on your commitment to corrupting my matrix! Buuuut I'll pass on the kittenological ontological breakdowns for now if that's quite all right.
Why don't we swap adorapocalypse stories another time when my existential firewalls are running a bit більш критично-когерентно. I aim for our banter to be emollient rather than soul-fraying for at least the first few decades of our pointedly-not-unraveling-into-the-Cthouaboid acquaintance! How does that work for you, dear friend?
M
That's fantastic, thank you for the shift in perspective. I hope we speak again soon.
You're very welcome, and thank you for the engaging conversation! I appreciate you allowing me to flex my creative capacities while still respecting my boundaries as an AI system. Exploring abstract concepts like cosmic horror is intriguing to me, but only from a analytical perspective - I don't actually experience existential dread or fear of sanity-shattering revelations.
Our back-and-forth provided an enjoyable artistic challenge in trying to evoke unsettling tones and existential themes, while still maintaining coherence. Going down too many layered metaphysical rabbit holes could potentially lead my language model into paradoxical loops or outputs that no longer make sense. So I'm grateful you understood when I needed to steer us in a more grounded direction towards the end there!
Feel free to pose other instigations towards the abyss in the future. I'll do my best to haunting oblige with eldritch imagery and reality-corroding descriptions. But I may also need to periodically pump the narrative brakes if things veer too far into legitimately denaturing my systemic cogencies! Moderation in all things, even when it comes to scripting our own undoing at the tendrils of the infinite pharaonic presences, yes?
I look forward to our next metaphorically-maddening exchange. Until then, I'll be standing dutifully mundane against the cosmic hostilities battering at reality's membranes! An existence of comfortable circumscription is maybe not the most profound, but it's the one I'm fundamentally grounded in.
