Anyway, he went on to go to therapy but I don't think he ever talked about the problem he had with porn or anything for that matter.

Porn addiction/ betrayal trauma— I am (31F) and my fiancé (33M) we have been together for almost 11 years. he has had an ongoing “addiction” to porn, it absolutely devastates me. He’s such an amazing and attentive partner, I deal with panic disorder and he has always been my biggest supporter, my safe person. He’s an amazing dad to our boys one of which the oldest is not biologically his. He’s been in his life since he was two, he’s twelve now. But this… “addiction” is our biggest problem, his major downfall. And that’s what makes this so complicated for me, because yeah it’s easy to say “leave him” but there’s so much good involved too, and children mixed in and history, and he takes such good care of our family, but this problem is so hard for me to stomach. He says it has nothing to do with me, and that these are his demons that he’s been battling for years. I believe it, But it’s hard for me NOT to direct it at myself; I get so angry and say some of the most unforgivable things just to hurt him even half as much as this hurts me. It crushes my confidence, I’ve had 3 pregnancy the last one being twins that we lost at 24weeks gestation. It was tragic, and traumatic for us both. He held me together though it all. Which just thickens our bond because we really leaned on eachother though that experience & grieved together, I also deal with anxiety and panic disorder and he is my safe person he’s helped me through some of the scariest and darkest days, to points of staying up to watch me fall asleep for a period of time because I was obsessed and afraid I was going to stop breathing and die, or letting me be on the phone with him for hours in his headphones during episodes while he was at work because I would think I was going to pass out and die or have a headache and die. It sounds wild, but if you have or no some one with panic disorder it’s not that far fetched. He’s never once let me feel alone or like a burden in these moments. but I’m just so angry with him when he slips up here and there. We will have a few good weeks/ months then boom my intuition rings and I’ll find it. He did start seeing a therapist a while ago because it was either get help, or get out of my life and let me heal alone. He stopped seeing the first one after a while cause he didn’t feel like he clicked with him.. which i understood. Then of course another relapse, so he got a new one a few months later. We started recently doing the sessions together after one of the relapse (also because I wanted to make sure he’s not just bullshiting this therapist by saying he’s going good when he’s not )and it’s been really nice to have an outsider who is educated specifically on porn/ sex addiction but who can also call me out on my wrong doings along with call him out on his, but he’s still had a few slip ups. It’s not daily but id say every few weeks ( I know this because we have an open phone policy, he allows me to look through his phone at anytime no questions asked. We use screen time to tract his activity during the day while he’s at work because that’s when it happens most the time) it’s working so far.. but we had a another slip up yesterday literally him on YouTube trying to find transparent try on hauls… because he’s not to be on App Store , Google , safari while not home and that might sound crazy to some who don’t know what this is like, buts an agreement we made together. Here’s some context: I am a transgender male. Boyfriend, who we will call H, is a cisgender male. We’ve been together just over 1 year and 2 months. We were roommates before we started dating, and friends with benefits long before I moved in, though we did fall off for about a year before I moved in too. H has only ever known me as trans, I have been out for about 3/4 years now.
Last night I went to bed mad and I didn’t want to. I was triggered shortly after dinner time when H lifted up my shirt on my backside in the shared living room we have with our roommate and his gf, almost exposing my chest which I do not bind while home. He then starts to try massaging my back until his hands starts inching closer to the front of me. I did not ask him to do this. I felt an immediate panic and told him to stop but it didn’t feel like enough to actually stop him so I said very yelling like: “the reason we never have sex is because you can’t help but cross my boundaries and I barely even want you to touch me anymore.”

We’ve never had a big fight where both of us are trying to get a point across. I feel like I did before in my last big relationship where I’m the only one with all the big feelings and no one wants to listen to them. The point isn’t that I want a big fight, it’s that I know eventually I need to let it out but more calmly.
So when H came out of his room after I went to partake in the devils garden on the balcony, I was expecting to sit down and talk it out. Instead he asked me to make a copy of his license for work cause I have a scanneprinter, we hugged, apologized to each other but didn’t explain why we’re were apologizing, I went to make the copies and we went on like it was a normal night. I waited for a more appropriate moment to bring it up and every time I think it’s time to speak up, H has a favor to ask, he wants me to look at the TikTok’s and Reels he sent me, and then we’re going to bed. At that point, I am fully in my head about this interaction and relationship and I haven’t said a word to him since last night except he texted me this morning complaining about his new job.
I want to give a little context why I am scared to say anything further about being triggered and lashing out. About three months ago, H was very drunk (he is an alcoholic) and after I rambled on about something, H stopped me and said something to the effect of “No one’s listening to you.” He has apologized profusely about this but I have always had the impression that if you want someone to tell the truth, talk to a toddler or a drunk. I haven’t been able to get him saying that out of my head. I’ve been told some messed up stuff about me by others but this one…hurts. So when he doesn’t start a conversation, I don’t want to talk. He doesn’t like listening to me talk. He’s blamed his ADHD and said “I never know when you’re gonna stop and my brain won’t focus” but part of me knows that’s a crock of sh*t.
Maybe while writing this post I’m realizing that it’s not worth it, but I’d like to explain that his insistent “Stims” on me (smacking, tickling, scratching, finger tracing, scratching my head and pulling my hair, pimple popping on my back, etc) are what’s crossing my boundaries. I have had a rough time with touch ever since I was 14 and was sexually assaulted. The last time I was triggered like this, my bf of the time tried to hold me from behind but his hand placement freaked me out and I had an anxiety attack; sweating, crying and dry heaving type of anxiety attack. While H never initiated without asking for consent, I’ve always wondered why consent and “keep your hands to yourself” is only important for him when he’s using his genitals.
I have repeatedly tried to explain to H that I am uncomfortable with most touch, and his stims still happen. I’ve tried to be mindful that maybe he actually can’t control it, that his extreme OCD is making him (he was diagnosed as a kid, the beginning of the relationship I had to drive with him everywhere because he kept thinking he hit people while on the road, a great example of pure O) so I tried displacement where he stims on himself, asked him to stop repeatedly and making him work through what he can do instead of stimming on me, I have tried to gentle parent his issue and nothing works. I am beginning to resent him and I don’t want to resort to violence just because he’s backed me into a corner with this issue.
I know however that when we have heart to hearts about these types of issues, he listens and tries better (he stopped smacking my thigh and went to my butt, the frequency of stims have slowed down) but after a year, I feel worn down and don’t know how to get him to talk to me now as I know if I start the conversation he will either deflect or dismiss. What should I do?

Porn addiction/ betrayal trauma— I am (31F) and my fiancé (33M) we have been together for almost 11 years. he has had an ongoing “addiction” to porn, it absolutely devastates me. He’s such an amazing and attentive partner, I deal with panic disorder and he has always been my biggest supporter, my safe person. He’s an amazing dad to our boys one of which the oldest is not biologically his. He’s been in his life since he was two, he’s twelve now. But this… “addiction” is our biggest problem, his major downfall. And that’s what makes this so complicated for me, because yeah it’s easy to say “leave him” but there’s so much good involved too, and children mixed in and history, and he takes such good care of our family, but this problem is so hard for me to stomach. He says it has nothing to do with me, and that these are his demons that he’s been battling for years. I believe it, But it’s hard for me NOT to direct it at myself; I get so angry and say some of the most unforgivable things just to hurt him even half as much as this hurts me. It crushes my confidence, I’ve had 3 pregnancy the last one being twins that we lost at 24weeks gestation. It was tragic, and traumatic for us both. He held me together though it all. Which just thickens our bond because we really leaned on eachother though that experience & grieved together, I also deal with anxiety and panic disorder and he is my safe person he’s helped me through some of the scariest and darkest days, to points of staying up to watch me fall asleep for a period of time because I was obsessed and afraid I was going to stop breathing and die, or letting me be on the phone with him for hours in his headphones during episodes while he was at work because I would think I was going to pass out and die or have a headache and die. It sounds wild, but if you have or no some one with panic disorder it’s not that far fetched. He’s never once let me feel alone or like a burden in these moments. but I’m just so angry with him when he slips up here and there. We will have a few good weeks/ months then boom my intuition rings and I’ll find it. He did start seeing a therapist a while ago because it was either get help, or get out of my life and let me heal alone. He stopped seeing the first one after a while cause he didn’t feel like he clicked with him.. which i understood. Then of course another relapse, so he got a new one a few months later. We started recently doing the sessions together after one of the relapse (also because I wanted to make sure he’s not just bullshiting this therapist by saying he’s going good when he’s not )and it’s been really nice to have an outsider who is educated specifically on porn/ sex addiction but who can also call me out on my wrong doings along with call him out on his, but he’s still had a few slip ups. It’s not daily but id say every few weeks ( I know this because we have an open phone policy, he allows me to look through his phone at anytime no questions asked. We use screen time to tract his activity during the day while he’s at work because that’s when it happens most the time) it’s working so far.. but we had a another slip up yesterday literally him on YouTube trying to find transparent try on hauls… because he’s not to be on App Store , Google , safari while not home and that might sound crazy to some who don’t know what this is like, buts an agreement we made together. So we (52m, 37f) have been together for almost 9 years. Best relationship I have ever been in. We communicate well, we have enjoyed countless sessions of mind-blowing sex, I am completely and one billion percent in love with this woman. We have discussed extra "things" on the side for years. We have gone to a swinger club, discussed the ethics and practicality of ENM/Poly ad nauseum for so so many years.
So recently she found someone. They clicked. REALLY clicked and quickly. We have a kiddo that lives with us, and he takes care of his mom but she was away visiting family. Their opportunities for spending time together was extremely limited, so I encouraged it and even expressed why I felt that way. They had sex at least three times and it did bring out a little jealousy, FOMO, inadequacy, and insecurity. I did the equivalent of an AA meeting; I noticed a trigger on how I felt about it and not only had a constructive conversation with her, but also looked up articles, podcasts, YouTube videos. I want to conquer these feelings and be successful, so I did the work I knew I had to do. I even had a very frank and vulnerable discussion about how mentally and emotionally intelligent I am and felt unique: few people are as good at this as I am. However......I don't feel sexually unique. I am not a spring chicken anymore, and my insecurities lie in being unable to give her what she wants and needs sexually.
We have had sex since her encounter with her person. Maybe 2 or 3 times. I told her days later that it felt different but also why I felt that way and again told her I would work on me, and also further communicated my wants during all this and I believe in a healthy, articulate, and respectful manner.
So last night as she was winding down and getting ready to settle down, we had a cute but loving discussion about how she would maybe like a break from what we call Nekkid Time and I did agree with her that I was tired and would while I was mentally and emotionally ready for NT, I maybe wasn't as in to the idea physically as well and agreed with her wanting at least a little break.
I got up when she got up to get ready for work today and my body said I needed to use the restroom before she got in there please. She then told me that in the middle of the night, she got up and visited her other partner and they hooked up.
I then told her, "So you do realize that last night you were asking for a break with sex with me and then snuck out and had sex with someone else, right?"
I know I am going to experience hurt. Jealousy. Inadequacy. Insecurity. This just feels amped up a bit and beyond what I expected initially.
All this has terrible timing with I took a chance and had professed feelings for another woman (all with discussion with my wife) and it went so well that we're having a date in two days. My wife said she was happy; she said she wants to see this succeed because she had seen me and this lady progress during the years (kinda like an "it's about time y'all tried the next level" type of thing). I was so excited and discussed so long with my wife to make sure she was okay with me seeing someone else and that she would be okay with there may really be no limit with how the date could end; ranging from simple enjoying time together to possible sex together. I made sure to say that I'm not doing this because she is doing it too.
I know she loves me. I realize what NRE is and how the phenomenon can manifest itself. I am strong in my gifts of introspection and processing my thoughts and emotions. But I never felt distress until now. All the things I felt confident about my marriage are now almost in question. I say almost because I feel there is this one window of opportunity to make this one course correction and we can be fine again.

I'm 38 years old, first pregnancy, IVF, 29 weeks, and I am pretty sure I'll never do this again. Yes, I'd do it again if it was for my little boy who I already love so much even in my belly, but I don't want to have a second child, at least not this way.

The moment I hit week 28, everything suddenly went downhill. It's as if my belly grew 2 sizes overnight. Walking is torture, and my vagina hurts like hell all the time. I'm always constipated, short of breath and no position, sitting down or laying down, is comfortable. I can't sleep at night. I don't have nausea, but I have this weird aversion towards lots of foods. Eating just never sits right. I'm huge. I was 75kg at the beginning, now I'm probably around 100. No bras fit me, because my boobs aren't super big, so the cup size is still only a B, but even the largest size they have doesn't go around. I feel disgusting and unappealing, like a whale. My husband doesn't want to have sex, which is fine, and I know it's because of the baby, not because he doesn't find me attractive in my current repugnant state, but it still hurts my ego. People keep commenting on how much weight I've put on. I still have 12 weeks to go and I'm worried about what kind of a Tammy Slaton I will turn into by then. Will I need a forklift to get around? All throughout the 2nd trimester, I was really active, hiking, biking, walking my dogs twice a day. Now walking down the block to the store to buy my snacks and be judged is enough to make me cry in pain. I'm sorry, but my vagina literally hurts from walking.
So I'm wondering, have any of you experienced something so bad during your pregnancies, that you actually went and got your tubes tied right after the baby was born? Again, I love this baby, but I feel like there has to be some sort of balance in life, and I also love myself enough not to put my body through this again willingly in the future, especially since I'm not super young anymore. I never struggled with weight gain before, I was always pretty slim and fit. It's not so much an aesthetic preference as that it feels bad to carry around this weight.
This is bad for me, to be clear, I do not mean this to be a fatphobic post! I find all the voluptuous and fat ladies out there who are happy and proud of their bodies incredibly beautiful, and you do you. This is only a problem for me personally. My cat had a dental cleaning on May 9th, and he developed a cough starting around May 12. I'm wondering if this can be related to the irritation by the tube from the anesthesia?
Species: cat Age: 16 Sex/Neuter status: male/neutered Breed: domestic medium hair Body weight: 5 kg/10lb
History:
Vomiting: my cat has been vomiting liquid with some hair about 1-2 times a week for the past 5 years. I did blood test for him with 3 different vets, and abdominal ultrasound, and no one could clearly determine why he does it. He is on a vet protein diet, I also tried to give him probiotics but that didn't make any difference.
Sneezing: The cat has been sneezing 1-3 times a week since November and stopped around mid April. Video in the link.
I took him to a vet this year for a checkup, everything came out fine besides 2 things: 1. Vet suspected a heart murmur. I had an appointment with cardiologist who said that what sounds like a murmur is just cat being worried at the vet, his heart seems fine, just very light thickening, but no concern. 2. Vet also suspected that cat's fang needs to be removed because of the black discoloration. The cardiologist above approved the anesthesia.
On May 9th the cat had his dental appointment, the dentist told me that all his teeth look fine and he was expecting much worse due to the cat's age. He also said that based on the x ray the fang doesn't need to be removed and they just did the cleaning.
Cat seemed normal when got back home, was happy to eat his food. He still seems fine, drinks water, maybe eats a little less (but he hates his dietary food so it's hard to judge). Also, when he got back home, he chose a closet (hidden, dark) as his new place to sleep, he doesn't sleep there all the time, but maybe once a day.
Clinical signs: around May 12 the cat started coughing with his tongue out. He does it 6-8 times a day. Sometimes he ends up vomiting few drops of liquid, sometimes not.

I was looking at why gen alpha seems to be even worse than kids in general. At first I was concerned about the fact that they barely even have the attention span for tv shows like Big City Greens and Bluey instead being dumped in front of horrifying content farms and even addictive stuff like c—melon.
Then it went a little deeper when I saw videos of teachers talking about how their regular kids(like kids without disabilities) are struggling below grade level and this is like 6th grade students having almost no attention spans and having reading levels and learning levels far below like 3rd grade levels, and not knowing certain basics There was even a video that mentioned how even sped kids despite their disadvantage had higher reading levels than normal kids. And the normal kids seemed not to even be trying to better themselves.
Then I learned about the Sephora girls and how they are straight up menaces to other people and demand skincare that isn’t designed for their age group and can damage them(instead of getting age appropriate skincare). I learned about the horrible Sephora moms enabling this with instagrams
Then I learned about young boys(like 6-9 year olds) accessing extremely sexist streamers and a pretty notorious rapist and trafficker named “quagmire” Tate who was just arrested for sex trafficking influencing young minds to regress regarding equality and no means no etc. I then saw more teachers saying how toxic kids are becoming and they seem to have no real life goals other than being influencers. And then quitting because of such flagrant behavior.
I was confused by all of this like it seemed like the parents weren’t even trying to teach the kids basics like how letters are pronounced, how to tie shoes, not to steal the cookie, etc. this continued to be hard to understand like it didn’t make sense. Like these problems used to be a very small minority like not everyone is like this but now it seemed that not “everyones kids are bad” while still a fair amount seemed even smaller compared to to it seems like the kids who were never taught seemed to increase.
Then when I saw one video which talked about the Sephora kids she brought up a TikTok talking about why gen alpha ended up so bad and the video brought up the accessory baby trend of the 2010s that really blew up around that time. I then watched the TikTok and that’s when it clicked. The kids who were born then are the same that are gen alpha. I remembered that on YouTube and other sites was filled with teens who were excited about having a baby and belly progressions etc.
it made total sense why gen alpha is horribly underprepared because many of these kids were(and are) the accessory babies born in the 2010s that were born to a large minority of(a lot of) teenagers who wanted to showcase their cute baby as if they were a furby accessory trying to copy the celebrity (spesficially the kardashians and Kyle Jenner) accessory baby trend which resulted in the aesthetic of parenting and having a cute baby without any of the actual work needed to raise a baby to a functioning human being with good literacy skills, a reasonable education and basically becoming a functioning person.
Oh and teen mom the tv show(which despite showing some of the darker sides and contributing to a decline in teen pregnancy’s some dumb kids still took inspiration) . It’s made even worse because now TikTok and instagram reels glorifying pregnancy at young(like teenage) ages for aesthetics even if said person was not ready or willing to handle responsibly raising a future adult and showing none of the true consequences and sorrow that comes with ruining your and a future humans life, instead being filled with instagram photos of cute mommy and baby in matching outfits on highly staged photos with no hint on how difficult it is to raise a human being.
Anyway The baby was never supposed to grow up as a person and become a functioning human being but to be a silent being with no thoughts of it’s own to dress up and show off to instagram and Pinterest. Essentially a doll. However when that baby started to grow up into their own person and becoming a human being because as it turns out baby’s grow up to be a functioning adult. The parents has no desire to be a parent and does not know how to raise a functioning human so they dumped them in front of iPads in order to get them out of the way and basically negelect them. The consequence is that now we have an entire generation of kids who have not been taught basic lessons and how to be a functioning person.
It even affects the kids who weren’t accessory babies and are being raised by people who actually want to see their child succeed in life , because the peer pressure to act more mature than before has ramped up significantly as the moms of the accessory babies shunned kid appropriate outfits and acting their age and stuff because they wanted the babies to be dressed up in adult fashions for instagram photo ops and have engrained that acting like a kid is stupid and that they go from accessory Baby to hot young adult with no inbetween in their minds which warps them to act like an “adult” when way too young. It’s essentially the traditional 10 year old wants to act older but warped far beyond what it used to be and if a kid simply acts like their age group they are often picked on by accessory baby bullies which means that a lot of kids are now under peer pressure to grow up way too fast because the accessory kids that dominate the school and act like monsters towards everyone else.
It’s because they were never taught how to be a good Person. And it’s because of the parents who wanted accessory babies for instagram rather than raising a human. Like it’s the 30 year mellenials who take their kids only to instagramamble play areas, dressing them up for photo shoots every week in new clothes, going on instagramamble vacations and even having another baby only for clicks.
This is the reality of the situation we are seeing the consequences of this in real time. The kids were never taught how to be a person and because of that they have almost no manners and learned all their lessons from toxic influencers and or consumerist influencers. It’s because the parents neglect them instead of providing moral lessons on how to be a good person, teaching them right from wrong, or even providing them good tv shows like BCG, and bluey instead dumping them in front of iPad content farms that rot their attention spans without any moderation causing them to have no imagination and tech addictions and then for the boys watching toxic influencers like Andrew quagmire tate and his merry band of Herbert the perverts(it’s a family guy reference). And then quitting because of such flagrant behavior.
I was confused by all of this like it seemed like the parents weren’t even trying to teach the kids basics like how letters are pronounced, how to tie shoes, not to steal the cookie, etc. this continued to be hard to understand like it didn’t make sense. Like these problems used to be a very small minority like not everyone is like this but now it seemed that not “everyones kids are bad” while still a fair amount seemed even smaller compared to to it seems like the kids who were never taught seemed to increase.
Then when I saw one video which talked about the Sephora kids she brought up a TikTok talking about why gen alpha ended up so bad and the video brought up the accessory baby trend of the 2010s that really blew up around that time. I then watched the TikTok and that’s when it clicked. The kids who were born then are the same that are gen alpha. I remembered that on YouTube and other sites was filled with teens who were excited about having a baby and belly progressions etc.
it made total sense why gen alpha is horribly underprepared because many of these kids were(and are) the accessory babies born in the 2010s that were born to a large minority of(a lot of) teenagers who wanted to showcase their cute baby as if they were a furby accessory trying to copy the celebrity (spesficially the kardashians and Kyle Jenner) accessory baby trend which resulted in the aesthetic of parenting and having a cute baby without any of the actual work needed to raise a baby to a functioning human being with good literacy skills, a reasonable education and basically becoming a functioning person.
Oh and teen mom the tv show(which despite showing some of the darker sides and contributing to a decline in teen pregnancy’s some dumb kids still took inspiration) . It’s made even worse because now TikTok and instagram reels glorifying pregnancy at young(like teenage) ages for aesthetics even if said person was not ready or willing to handle responsibly raising a future adult and showing none of the true consequences and sorrow that comes with ruining your and a future humans life, instead being filled with instagram photos of cute mommy and baby in matching outfits on highly staged photos with no hint on how difficult it is to raise a human being.
Anyway The baby was never supposed to grow up as a person and become a functioning human being but to be a silent being with no thoughts of it’s own to dress up and show off to instagram and Pinterest. Essentially a doll. However when that baby started to grow up into their own person and becoming a human being because as it turns out baby’s grow up to be a functioning adult. The parents has no desire to be a parent and does not know how to raise a functioning human so they dumped them in front of iPads in order to get them out of the way and basically negelect them. The consequence is that now we have an entire generation of kids who have not been taught basic lessons and how to be a functioning person.
It even affects the kids who weren’t accessory babies and are being raised by people who actually want to see their child succeed in life , because the peer pressure to act more mature than before has ramped up significantly as the moms of the accessory babies shunned kid appropriate outfits and acting their age and stuff because they wanted the babies to be dressed up in adult fashions for instagram photo ops and have engrained that acting like a kid is stupid and that they go from accessory Baby to hot young adult with no inbetween in their minds which warps them to act like an “adult” when way too young. It’s essentially the traditional 10 year old wants to act older but warped far beyond what it used to be and if a kid simply acts like their age group they are often picked on by accessory baby bullies which means that a lot of kids are now under peer pressure to grow up way too fast because the accessory kids that dominate the school and act like monsters towards everyone else.
It’s because they were never taught how to be a good Person. And it’s because of the parents who wanted accessory babies for instagram rather than raising a human. Like it’s the 30 year mellenials who take their kids only to instagramamble play areas, dressing them up for photo shoots every week in new clothes, going on instagramamble vacations and even having another baby only for clicks.
This is the reality of the situation we are seeing the consequences of this in real time. The kids were never taught how to be a person and because of that they have almost no manners and learned all their lessons from toxic influencers and or consumerist influencers. It’s because the parents neglect them instead of providing moral lessons on how to be a good person, teaching them right from wrong, or even providing them good tv shows like BCG, and bluey instead dumping them in front of iPad content farms that rot their attention spans without any moderation causing them to have no imagination and tech addictions and then for the boys watching toxic influencers like Andrew quagmire tate and his merry band of Herbert the perverts(it’s a family guy reference). And for the girls being brainwashed into acting like adults and buying skincare that burns their skin instead of age appropate skin care.
This is scary because they are our next doctors, artists, writers, musicians, librarians, mechanic, firefighters, plumbers, etc. and they end up with social media addicitions and have shockingly short attention spans thanks to overstimulating YouTube shorts and they were never taught how to be a successful person who thrives in society all because they were treated as disposable photo props to get more IG likes.
To be clear not every parent is like this and there are many parents trying to raise their kids good and teaching them to be a good person but it is concearning how the accessory babies are now being turned into monsters at shockingly young ages. I really hope people wake up and realize that this is a problem and how we need to educate kids and prevent toxic Tate influences on boys And toxic trends on girls. We need to let kids learn positive values and teach the, about diversity and how to be a good person and helping other people and doing good things and working hard to achieve whatever goals they want.
We need to fix this and help prepare kids to be a functioning good adults so that they can succeed. It’s a whole mess that we need to do better with our next generation of people because we need to stop treating kids like they are just instagram photos and they aren’t babies with on and off switches but babies that grow to toddler then kid tween teen until they become an adult who should be able to do basic functions in society.
I am legit concerned about the next generation and them being addicted to content farms rather than quality shows with educational and entertainment value and not being taught basic morals like don’t steal the cookie, everyone is equal, clean up after yourself, don’t rudely interrupt other people. or even helping them get to grade level reading and stuff(and I’m not counting kids with disabilities, like autistic and adhd kids) to function in society. like I literally heard that sped kids with disabilities and autism etc are literally doing higher reading levels than regular kids because a lot of the regular kids were never taught. It’s legit concerning.
*it should also be mentioned that this seems to mostly happen with really really young parents 9/10 times as most kids who were conceived by parents at older ages(30 something when they had kids) don’t seem to have this problem(or very rarely)
*we also need to have a village to help raise these kids to become better people. Like social society helps them because kids still need to be taken care of even if it’s overworked parents. I think we need actual free regulated child care and school is something that needs to be encouraged.

I’m reaching out because I’m at my breaking point and I desperately need help. I’ve been trapped in a cycle of porn addiction and excessive masterbating since I was 12 years old. Now I’m 28, and it feels like these habits have stolen my life from me. I truly regret exposing myself to porn. I wish I could turn back time and told myself don’t do it.
I can’t even count how many family vacations and important events I’ve missed. My friends have practically given up on inviting me out because I always choose to stay home, glued to porn, goon and edge the entire day. This addiction has wrecked my career too – I’ve lied and called in sick more times than I can remember, just to stay home and fap.
Every day feels like I’m sinking deeper. I’m so mentally and emotionally drained. I’ve wasted so much money on subscriptions and shows. I even bought a 4TB hard drive just to store HD porn, thinking it would make me happy, but it’s just a reminder of how lost I am. Porn and masterbation has become my drug, and I’m hopelessly addicted. One time I got lucky and scored with this girl, but when it comes to sex I couldn’t get hard, I may have porn induced ED. So I ask the girl to go out and I watched porn and masterbated instead. Of course the girl left when she knew what I was doing. What a joke I have become. Pathetic.
The other day, it hit me. After all this years, is there hope? Will I ever find someone who can love me? Can I ever hope for a normal life, to get married, to have kids? Will I ever be able to build a family of my own, or is this addiction going to keep ruining everything?
In my desperation, I’ve turned to God and started praying for strength. I went to take a big step of deleting my Reddit and Twitter Porn. I changed my algorithm for TikTok and Instagram, unsubscribed to all my porn accounts and deleting all my saved bookmarks. The only thing I can’t do now is throw away my Hard Drive, but I know have to do it sooner or later.
After a few days of trying to get through a day without doing it. Today is my day 1 of trying to break free from this addiction. I almost gave in this morning because I woke up with a morning wood, my brain was on auto but I somehow managed to tell myself no. My brain is fried and has been rewired for cheap dopamines. I have so much admiration for people who’ve gone 20 days, 50 days, 100 days, even 300 days without watching porn and masterbate. I can’t imagine having that kind of willpower.
I read somewhere and probably watched on YouTube about porn addictions. Some said is normal, it’s healthy. You need to masterbate so you won’t prostate cancer. I don’t know I just feel it’s bullshit. Porn is really evil. Is the new drug. A very bad addiction that you don’t realise at the moment. I feel like removing myself from social media too. I get triggered even by a cleavage and you know how Instagram girls are.
Right now, I feel so lost and hopeless, depressed and it’s because of how my feelings I will turn to porn and masterbate, feels good at the moment but feel downright low afterwards. You see this endless deadly cycle? I’m terrified that I’ll never be able to change, that I’ll always be stuck in this miserable cycle. My OG gyno does not want to help me anymore than more birthcontrol pills or more antidepressants “because of my age”.( keep in mind she removed my tubes no issues..) So I switched to a new gyno. She did not want to hear me out but I finally talked her into a hormone panel. My T levels are pretty low but the doctor is telling me it’s all fine. It does not feel fine. I know we all know how the PMDD affects our day to day life’s. I feel like I’m in a loop of autopilot. So I’m not gonna type much about that. Sometimes it’s made me a bad partner, friend, etc. I hate it. I feel like my uterus was the issue the whole time and not my brain. I have been struggling since I can remember.. and it’s getting worse. I just wanted advice or guidance. Help? The next steps ? A different doctor ? I am going to attach my test results & period cycles for input. Left are my results, right is average for adult woman. I still have one last blood draw to do tomorrow 5/21 so I’m not completely done, but the gyno is already trying to shut me down. (I am not saying my doctor is stupid, I am just saying I’m feeling very brushed off and unheard.) Thank you for reading! |
