Buckeyes or Bust. Brutus would agree.

Hey Buckeyes, I'm on a quest to find every one of those painted/decorated Brutus statues that are scattered about campus and the surrounding areas. (There are supposedly 34 in total.) The issue I'm running into is that the map that the school provides hasn't been updated since 2016, and it seems like some of the Bruti have been moved around. So, my question is, where IS Brutus? If you know where a particular Brutus status is, please drop it in the comments! I really appreciate it!

As y'all may know, prior to August 4th, the buzz for Oregon finally leaving the Pac-12 was stronger than ever before, and a post by Brutus Buckeye's Instagram account showing the OSU mascot alongside the Oregon Duck literally broke the CFB community.
However, when trying to find information about what that post meant back then, I found an account named "PUDDLES" mentioning that Oregon also posted the picture in a social media named BlueSky, which I didn't know about it's existence back then, and I was eager to see what it meant.
For those who don't know, BlueSky is an alternative to Twitter, but much more difficult to access as it's given via invitation, and, unless you find a mutual that has an invite code, good luck getting there.
I did have luck via finding someone that had a giveaway for codes that I won, and when I got to see Oregon's BlueSky account, the results were kinda weird.
Unlike other social medias, the BlueSky account for Duck athletics does usually reply to fan posts if you tag them, and recently they were replying to posts about Bo Nix stats, there's actually a debate going on whether the account is fake or not, I did see that respectable sportswriters for The Oregonian follow that account and they've never said something that comes off as troll-like, but the simple fact it's an account representing athletics responding to fans is also suspicious, BTW, the account isn't listed in Oregon's Linktree, but it's understandable as BlueSky is not really popular.

September 2nd, 1899
The first game of the season was today. We absolutely destroyed Notre Dame, predictably! Nobody fucks with Buckeye Nation.
Speaking of Buckeyes, today I met Brutus for the first time. Unfortunately, although I was inspired by his dancing and gymnastics on the field, in conversation he is about as dull as an introductory stats class. To be honest, the mascot I truly found myself enamored with today was none other than Biff the Wolverine.
Biff was sent as an emissary from Michigan, supposedly as a sign of goodwill between our universities, although I suspect he was really here to spy on our football team. But it doesn’t matter. Biff and I sat next to each other in the Shoe, and we found ourselves utterly charmed with each other. After the game, we headed to Sloopy’s. My dear diary, as I stared into Biff’s beady eyes and caressed his furry hands, I felt something awaken within me! And even though there were dozens of people in the diner around us, I couldn’t resist leaning forward and pressing my lips to his.
What blissful joy it was, to feel Biff’s tongue against mine! Yet it ended much too fast. After pulling apart, Biff seemed to become aware of the dozens of students now staring at us. Blushing profusely, Biff stammered out an apology before hastily departing for Michigan.
It broke my heart to see him go, but I am resolved to write him a letter confessing my feelings. I know, deep down, he feels the same way.
October 12th, 1899
Met with the Board of Trustees this afternoon. I’m happy to report they approved my request to be buried on campus after I die! As soon as I depart this world, my body will be dipped in molten bronze to create a life-size coffin-statue, which will stand for all eternity overlooking the Oval.
In other news, Biff the Wolverine finally replied to my letter. In his message, Biff confessed that he, too, had felt the chemistry between us. But he feared what others might think should our love for each other become public. I hastily wrote a reply, saying that I agreed, and that our love should be a secret one. After all, a secret love is not the worst thing in the world. Adam wanted the apple because it was forbidden, just as I want Biff – and oh, do I want him!
Biff also sent a package from Ann Arbor which contained a truly lovely set of Michigan Wolverines lingerie. I spent a few hours playing with the yellow and blue-laced bra and thong, trying them on in my office and taking cute mirror selfies for my Private Snap Story. I must remember to send Biff some Buckeye merch by next post.
November 25th, 1899
Disaster! Today was the final game of the season. Since we were playing against Michigan, Biff arrived back on campus, and we sat together again in the Shoe. All during the first half of the game we kept playing footsie and would occasionally catch each other’s eye before quickly looking away, but during halftime we couldn’t take it anymore. We left together, hearts pounding, hand-in-paw, and made our way back to my office. As a gentleman, I will not divulge what happened next, but suffice to say the joy was short-lived, for we were suddenly interrupted as the office door flew open! Biff paused mid-thrust as the two of us turned to look, in horror, at the intruder. It was Brutus, and he was livid.
“You fucking whore!” Brutus shouted. I tried not to quiver, but it was difficult with Biff still inside me. I suddenly felt very self-conscious of the fact that I was wearing the Michigan Wolverines bra Biff had given me. “I can’t believe you’ve done this! And with my arch-nemesis, too!”
Brutus turned on his heel and left. A shocked silence followed his departure, but eventually Biff and I got up off the table and dressed. Our romance had come to an abrupt end. I felt tears fill my eyes.
“Hey,” Biff murmured, lifting my chin. “Don’t worry, little dove. Everything will be OK.”
And though I gave him a sweet smile in return, I knew in my heart that nothing would ever be the same again. Biff and I would never be together. It just wasn’t meant to be.
Oh, and we lost the game to Michigan.

For the past few years I've been keeping up a thread of all the rumors, speculations, and confirmations on who is and isn't playing Bonnaroo. It takes a lot of work from not just myself but everyone in the community to keep this going, just remember that it's all in fun - if I miss something posted I apologize, sometimes Reddit doesn't send me updates on new posts.
How does it work? Every day I do a few quick searches on certain keywords and check certain websites for updates. It doesn't pick up everything (especially now that Twitter is kind of a shitshow), but it gets the bulk of information. That being said, I'm fairly busy and miss things all the time, that's where you come in. See something I missed? Post it in this thread with the source.
Let's say you have an insider tip but don't want to put it on here. Email me at remeard@gmail.com and I'll post it up here, I may ask for a bit of information to get a solid confirmation but all stays discreet. We've had family of tour managers, neighbors, friends, etc send me messages.
With artist tour dates starting to pop up and festival lineups dropping for 2024, we can get a decent picture of who may be there and who is likely not going to be there due to conflicting dates

Typically speaking, Bonnaroo doesn't have artists come back to back each year.
Any help you guys can get is appreciated. The majority of the finds are done by you all, with that being said let's go over a couple ground rules, same as last year. I may not include every artist that gets mentioned - if I don't add your pick don't be offended. Also, I'm only one person, I'll try to update this post as much as possible - just be patient. The bigger the name, the more likely it's going to be added, especially the "OUT" section.

Please note: Take everything in this thread with a grain of salt! Roo clues are sometimes incorrect, artists are sometimes incorrect, etc. In 2019, all of the artists listed under "Confirmed", "Semi-Confirmed", & "Out" were correct. However in the "Possible" section, only 20 artists listed were on the lineup. In the "Rumored" section, only 4/11 artists listed were booked and in "Unlikely", 4 artists listed ended up on the lineup.

The life of a mascot is a solemn one.
Sure, on the surface, it seems full of action. Running out of a tunnel to the 102,000 cheering fans every fall Saturday, taking pictures with kids, people wearing your likeness on a shirt with pride. And yet, it’s all a facade. They’re not here to see you. They’re here to see the team. You’re a side show, a gear in the giant college sports machine, and at the end of the day when you go home, there’s no one there but you.
This is the life of a mascot. They put on a show, but they are in their own world. They have no one to appreciate them as the star of the show. This was the thinking of Brutus the Buckeye up until when a certain webfoot caught his eye.
January 13, 2015.
The Buckeyes first national championship appearance since 2007 and Brutus was absolutely pumped up. The Buckeyes had come of a 59-0 shellacking of Wisconsin in the Big Ten, and had a very resilient showing in their 42-35 win vs. the top ranked Crimson Tide. Brutus knew that they were going up against a great Oregon offense, having watched the Ducks dismantle Florida State just a couple days before, but as the team mascot he knew it was his job to be enthusiastic and never waver his confidence. As the pregame festivities came to a close and the time of the game neared Brutus’ confidence grew. His heart was beating at 100 mph. He was confident. He was ready. He was having fun. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a dark horse for the Heisman. As Brutus gets to the entrance of the tunnel, he can hear the crowd
“O-H!”
“I-O”
“O-H!”
“i-o” he whispers to himself
The Texas ranger standing in the front gives his signal to Urban Meyer, and the team, lead by Brutus sprints out onto the field to a thunderous applause. For Brutus, he savored all of it in. The glimmering lights, the feeling of the air surrounding him, the Ohio State fight song performed by the marching band. This was his sole purpose in life, to be amongst the Buckeyes. The band went silent as he closed his eyes. In that moment, it seemed like nothing could bring Brutus down.
Just then, the sound of an ATV caught his ear.
Brutus looked over as the Oregon band started to play and the ducks came onto the field. He froze. Riding out of the tunnel, his yellow neckerchief flapping in the wind, was the Oregon Duck. Brutus had never seen a more beautiful creature. His feathers white as snow, his cute little hat, the way his tail waddled when he got off his ride and started running around the middle of the field with his big Oregon flag. Brutus was enamored, and his heart was almost beating out of his chest. As the referee blew his whistle, and the game progressed, Brutus couldn’t take him off of his mind. He didn’t snap out of it until a loud bang made him look up. Confetti. He was quickly taken into the arms of an Ohio State lineman and realized that his team had just won the National Championship. He was elated, running around the field, making confetti angels and high fiving the team as they stepped up onto the podium to receive the trophy that most of them had worked years for. And in that moment, he couldn’t help but glance over to see a certain duck sitting down with his head in his hands. Brutus’ smile dropped and his elation turned into empathy. He rushed over to the Oregon sideline, sat down beside him, and put his arm on his mallard friend’s shoulder. The duck looked over, moved Brutus’ arm around his waist, and rested his head on the buckeye’s shoulder. They stayed like that until the festivities were over, and they had to go to the team bus and head back to the airport. Brutus didn’t know if him and the Duck would see eachother again, but in the moment he felt like more than a side act in the Ohio State show. He felt as though at least someone felt his pain, and someone appreciated him for who he was.
When Brutus got back to Columbus, the first thing he did was look up his webfoot mystery friend on Instagram. He gave him a follow. Almost instantly he received a notification.

His heart started beating when he pulled up his messages, what does he even say? “Hey remember that time we met a couple days ago that was fun quick side note you’re actually really cute I’ll buy you some suet the next time you’re in Ohio haha xx”
“No.”
“Can’t sound desperate.”

Brutus takes a breath, and starts typing.
“Quack :)”

“It’s over” Brutus thinks. “I screwed it up.”
He sets his phone down, and heads to the shower.
10 minutes later, after getting dried off and slipping on a pair of boxers, Brutus checks his phone. To his surprise, he has an instagram message.

He sighs.

Almost immediately, Brutus gets another notification.

@theoregonduck: No worries :) To be honest, I don’t get the chance to talk to many people but you seem like a nice guy.

Brutus and the Duck talked all night. The awkwardness faded away, and they realized despite being completely different, they had more similarities than one could possibly imagine. Brutus gave him a nickname, Puddles. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, months turned into years. Each time that Ohio State played Oregon, the two promised they would meet up and do something, and each time they delivered.
With rumors of realignment bringing the two closer than ever before, Brutus took a trip to Eugene to surprise his web footed friend. His heart started racing when he walked into Autzen stadium, waiting to see his little puddle. Brutus got down the tunnel, and standing at midfield was Puddles, as majestic as ever. The wind blowing against his feathers and the sun hitting his face, Brutus had never seen a more beautiful sight. As he approach midfield Puddles turned and dropped his baton. The two started racing towards eachother for what felt like an eternity, and when they finally jumped into eachothers arms, neither of them could let go. It just felt perfect. After about a minute, Brutus straightened his back but didn’t let go. They were looking into eachothers eyes when Brutus leaned forward and gave Puddles a kiss on the forehead. He pulled back and smiled as both of them started blushing
Neither of them had the words to tell eachother how they felt.
It didn’t matter.
When they turned and looked at the scoreboard, arms around eachother, they both knew.

So we all know about the cryptic post involving The Oregon Duck and Brutus Buckeye that was posted by the later's Instagram account, and multiple people gave it multiple meanings like it being a teaser for an Oregon vs. Ohio State game at Autzen Stadium, or even UO moving to the Big Ten after a year of speculation.
However, I was watching random things in Twitter (nope I won't call it X) and found this tweet which had the same image, but with a twist, it was posted by Oregon's account in a social media named BlueSky: https://twitter.com/BackRoll23/status/1684759468377255936
I decided to do further research and found out that BlueSky is indeed a real social media which is similar to Twitter, however, it's only open via invitation and it doesn't allow anonymous users to browse through it, so I wasn't able to create an account to find the post, and there's some people believing it's a troll account, however, since BlueSky is more restricted than Twitter, I doubt it is.
Compared to Brutus' post, the GoDucks post does mention the Big Ten's abbreviation (B1G) instead of just BIG (which doesn't have the number 1 on it), now, considering that there's already an UO-tOSU home and home series scheduled for 2032-33, maybe it is indeed Oregon moving to the Big Ten?
We'll just wait and see.
