2024.05.22 02:31 Baby_Bunny_96 27 [F4M] #USA/Anywhere - Searching for my Future Husband.

Good Evening Everyone. šŸ‘»
My name is Courtney. I am 27 years old and I happen to live in Florida.
My favorite color is pink. I love listening to all kinds of music. Though my main preference is rock and metal. My favorite band is Ghost. If you end up with me you will have to deal with my addiction. (The band, not drugs or alcohol.)
I love going to theme parks, I love traveling, I love trying new things, I love to watch movies, and listen to music. I love Disney, Marvel, Harry Potter, and much more.
I am a plus size woman, I would say that I am on the smaller end of that spectrum. I know that I may not be everyoneā€™s cup of tea, so please just donā€™t be disrespectful is all. I have been working on improving both my physical and mental health. Itā€™s always a constant battle.
I would prefer a long term and genuine relationship. My age preference in men is 30+. I am looking for my best friend, my partner in crime, my Mickey to my Minnie. I am looking for someone that is genuine and loyal. Someone that isnā€™t afraid to be goofy and silly.
I eventually would like to settle down. I am only looking for something monogamous. I eventually would like to have children one day as well. Iā€™m not necessarily looking for someone that is local. I am okay with some distance, at least in the beginning anyway.
If you would be interested in getting to know me, donā€™t be afraid to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you.

2024.05.22 02:17 yookaloco [TOMT] [Song] Upbeat Danceable Indie Rock Song, a touch of Passion Pit, 1999-2017 (Strange Audio Link Provided)

Re-post/Attempt 2. No winners on https://www.reddit.com/tipofmytongue/comments/1cowei2/comment/l3h586h/
Figured I would try again.
Audio Sample: https://flat.io/score/663e742bda2ce852eeff15b7-mystery-indietronica-song-help-me-reddit-006-copy?sharingKey=a32eb8f4145529c4aafdd4b79f03afe08b13485d9bc8b0517f252c1e65d39a284f017e4e1143e5c81703397e211eda09208cf0d82e442b62fb9ca19464a62849
This is a song that I know I've listened to many times, and I think I even had mp3s of (or made note of) several other of this band's songs, and it amazes me that I forgot it. I have had this earworm plaguing me for at least six years. I am sure the song was already kinda old in 2018 when I went on my first search for this. I'd place estimated year of release as somewhere around 2002-2015 (despite the title).
The genre is certainly indietronica post-punk or dance-punk or indie-emo-dance-punk or I-don't-know. So I guess, it's a little obscure. Though it wouldn't shock me if I found it through a video game circa 2004.
Alot of these sound 'in the ballpark'
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dance-punk_artists
.. especially
... but the vocals are VERY close to Johnny Whitney of Jaguar Love and Blood Brothers...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Whitney
I am 100% certain I found him and his bands in the search for this band and song. His style (both song composition and his singing style) is a little too zany to be them. Pretty cool tho.
About that Sound File/Link
This isn't exactly the song. Figuring this out/producing this was like childbirth... so.... like many parents, eventually I said "the hell with it". I think I got the pitches down pretty good though, especially considering it's been at least a decade. So to be the actual song, some of these parts would have to repeat more (then again, it is good to isolate sections for listening more closely) . Especially the opening riff, which I reflect with bass. That is pretty constant sound through the verses. My tempo in the first half is definitely slower and more choppy than the actual song. Second half sounds as much like the song as anyone can make with these instruments, I think.
The use of cats meows combined Soprano Vocals is meant to reflect whatever vocal filter is done in the aforementioned Passion Pit - Sleepyhead. They really boost it on the last high note of the chorus, and I reflect this with high pitched brass. Best I could do, free account.
The electric guitar goes through more of the chorus than I put it for, but not all of it. I think it quits before the big high note. I got the cascading progression just right. It's the standout part of the song, like the opening keyboards of Take On Me.
The bass and the drums are considerably more active than is reflected here. That would be super painstaking. If this isn't solved in a week, I'll probably add it in time, and post again in about 8 days. It's a high energy song. Drums are about the tempo of Bonnie Tyler's "I need a hero".
I hesitate to post lyrics I misremember, because if I was solid on my knowledge of them, I think I woulda found it already. Plenty of "ooohs (ooze?)", "boys", and "what you're doing to me-ee-ee" (to end a verse). Somewhere in this chorus I thought there was something like "more than any other guy". The song lyrics are vaguely "suggestive" šŸ‘Øā€ā¤ļøā€šŸ’‹ā€šŸ‘Ø... like Erasure or Boy George's vibe. Mika is also another artist that has a little of that vibe, although when I listened back to Grace Kelly, I didn't hear as much of that vocal filter as I remember.
I was pretty sure part of the chorus was something like "more than any other guy" or "from any other guy" or something. I have no idea what the word is that comprises the high note.
Previous "No, but Thank You" 's..
Thanks!

2024.05.22 02:01 o0YungHusk0o Pc turns on no display or peripherals

Changed a cpu and gpu for my friend, it booted before and he played a couple games on it before I came over. After swapping it doesnā€™t display anything and his keyboard and mouse arenā€™t lighting up either, I checked the motherboard power supply and it was plugged in all the way and so was all the other things. I noticed it had a usb 3.0 plug that was plugged in but no usb 2.0 plug. Iā€™ve tried both hdmi ports on the gpu and motherboard and still no display. Tried other hdmi cords and still nothing, swapped back to the old gpu and cpu and still nothing, reseated the ram and that also didnt work. Iā€™ve run out of ideas as to what the problem is other than the motherboard is toast, its a gigabyte b450 WiFi with Ryzen 5 5400, XFX 580 Radeon gpu t force ram and a thermal take 550 modular power supply.

2024.05.22 01:52 PleasantCandidate785 Windows Server 2022 VM Crashing

I have a Windows Server 2022 VM Running under Alma Linux 9.3 that is crashing roughly every 7 to 8 days with the following message in the /valog/libvert/qemu/Server.log file:
failed to set up stack guard page: Cannot allocate memory 2024-05-10 21:59:33.034+0000: shutting down, reason=crashed
I think this is linked to my using "virtio" as the drive type for my drive images.
At this point, the server is in production and I can't change to virtio-scsi. I initially set up the virtio drives due to the performance gain when mounting the qcow2 images from an all NVME ZFS file system. And the system absolutely FLIES. 15,000+MBps sequential read performance under CrystalDiskMark.
I have to stop this crashing though. Here is my Server.xml file:

2024.05.22 01:42 Felgrey Help with first home server for media, file+photo backup w remote access

Hi
I'll preface by saying my experience is limited to building 2 personal pc's, tinkering with fan/clock speeds, and basic folder sharing between Windows pc's at home. I've never used dockerfiles or linux so far.
The last few weeks I've been trying to read forums and posts, and watch as many guides and explanations as possible to help get my first understandings of home servers. I've reached a point where I am tipping into overwhelmed with possibilities (probably overthinking), and struggling with how I proceed.
I think I'm mostly struggling with how it all connects and how/what software I need to make it easily remote accessible/a cloud server, so help on this front would be great. Thanks in advance.
First idea: I use my Old PC + new HDD's as the servecloud hardware. (Cheaper and ideal in that it uses old parts)
My understanding so far for this is;
  1. I reset the Win 10 operating system on my Old PC
  2. Remove Win bloatware
  3. Set new HDD's to Raid 5 and format
  4. Install Plex media server
  5. Install Steam with games
  6. Install Moonlight/Sunshine for streaming Far Cry 6
  7. Install Immich or Photosync with Photoprism for auto photo backups from mobile phones
  8. ?Designate folder access for other users on the local network?
  9. Tailscale vpn for remote access (never used it before)
  10. ...unsure if i need to do anything else
Second idea: Buy a Synology device and add HDD. This acts as media+photo+file servecloud and remains on 24/7. Old PC gets turned on intermittently to act as GUI for Web browsing+PC gaming on TV. (upfront more expensive, possibly easier to first setup)
Below are some parameters of what I'm trying to do/use.
Functions to perform:
  1. Connect to tv, other pcā€™s and mobile devices within local home network for access to personal media (movies, music, photos).
  2. Storage of home media, personal documents
  3. Access to web browsing on TV for ad-free viewing instead of using direct aps like YouTube (I imagine i need a GUI for this such as Windows 10)
  4. Infrequent pc gaming on TV (without using my gaming specific pc to stream from. Far cry 6 on low-ish settings but OK fps).
  5. Auto backup/syncing of photos from Mobile phones.
  6. Avoid needing to use public cloud services like Google Photos/Apple iCloud/Microsoft Onedrive as file sharing/backup/remote access.
  7. Be online and accessible 24/7
Note: Iā€™d welcome any tips to reduce noise and wattage profile.
Room layout:
Planning to buy so far:

2024.05.22 01:36 Hxcmetal724 What TMUX functionality is causing my mouse wheel to behave differently

Hi all, I have two OL8 servers, built from the same image. One on server, scrolling up with the mouse wheel will scroll through the terminal window (which is what I want). On the other server, the mouse wheel scrolls through my CLI history.
Everything online tells me I need to set a value under ~/.tmux.conf regarding the mouse (echo "set -g mouse on" >> ~/.tmux.conf). But this file does not exist on any of my servers. Even when creating and sourcing this file, nothing changes.
Any idea what other configurations could be causing this difference? I do noticed, on the green bar at the bottom of the window where it says 0 : bash, when I scroll up, it switches to 0: [tmux]
It's annoying to do, say, cat /valog/messages and then not being able to scroll through the output. I have to pipe everything to less

on the campaign trail, there's a mod that allows you to run as walt disney in 1952. eisenhower stays out of the race for health reasons, and without a clear candidate, disney is chosen as a dark horse for the nomination. personally, i believe he would have won the election and maybe even incorporated some mickey mouse cartoons/ads into his campaign, as well as using parades through towns and cities to promote is candidacy. his campaign would have novel ideas and spread its message very creatively.
as president, i think walt disney could have been great. he was very interested in space exploration and moving society forward. i believe he could have enacted a vision of epcot-like cities, created a modern public transportation system rather than interstates, and started a very contentious space race. he also would have been extremely anti-communist and just generally based as hell. this is the timeline i wish we lived in.

2024.05.22 01:14 BoozyGalore I have over 1000 bottles of vintage collectible wine, considering selling all of it

Title says it. Iā€™ve been drinking for 35 years regularly, a ton in college and in my 20s and then varying amounts afterwards but definitely regularly. I do dry months pretty often, sometimes have done two months dry or a ā€œweekends onlyā€ dry few months. When Iā€™m drinking, itā€™s beer and wine, nothing hard, and 95% of the time itā€™s wine. I ā€œloveā€ wine in that Iā€™m accustomed to drinking it and have habituated it and have built part of my identity around knowing about, drinking, and enjoying wine. My collection goes back to the 90s and for those lucky enough to be ex-wine geeks here, contains names like Raveneau, Roumier, Jamet, Coche-Dury, etc. Itā€™s a valuable collection and one that Iā€™ve thoughtfully built with the intent of drinking through it.
For years (probably two decades) my limit was to never finish a bottle in a night. I was at 1/2 to 2/3 for a very long time but eventually Iā€™d leave a mouseā€™s supply in the bottom just to tell myself I didnā€™t finish it. In the last year Iā€™ve abandoned that and will finish a bottle up to a bottle and a half at night, every night. It clicked that this isnā€™t going anywhere good. Iā€™m not where some people get to, but Iā€™ve seen this movie. Did some reading and have been thinking through where to go from here, and one of the biggest issues that is hard to get over is my collection and the effort I put into curating and anticipating those wines.
The only way I can think to approach this and give myself a fighting chance is to do it like a band-aid and just rip it off. Send the whole lot to auction and use all or most of the money for something super fun and extravagant or something meaningful. I donā€™t need the money, fortunate enough to have retired really early (which feeds the drinking issue, btw) but making a token purchase that marks the occasion seemed a good idea. A better idea is likely to donate the proceeds to somewhere that helps people with alcohol issues but selfishly I have to admit it wouldnā€™t feel as meaningful initially and might give me regrets. Not sure either way.
I keep 200 bottles at the house. 900 or so offsite. Itā€™s probably the dumbest thing a person can do, but thatā€™s where I am.
Not really sure why Iā€™m posting other than to get it off my chest. Iā€™m in a stupid loop of my own creation and probably need to find a way out.

2024.05.22 00:51 klinch05102014 Controller wonā€™t work on PC

As the title says Iā€™ve spent 2 hours trying to fix this issue.
Iā€™ve done the following: - turned it off and on again - restarted computer - uninstalled and reinstalled - changed game text files in notepad (video suggestions) - changed toggled input from mouse and keyboard back to controller
Something that did work but isnā€™t a long term solutionā€¦. I unplug every usb connected to my computer except the controller and it will work.
No other game has this input issue (COD, Diablo, Rocket league, etc.)
Anybody have any bright ideas to make the controller recognized in priority over anything else in XDEFIANT?

2024.05.22 00:12 Fiendhunterbrand ROG Ally and Force Move for Leapquake

There's a bug in D4 right now where certain skills don't reset their cooldowns due to a bug. The fix I've figured out is binding Force Move to the mouse wheel (which is how I move in Diablo games anyway) and spamming Force Move while I spam Leap (the skill in question).
When you move over to controller setup, there is no Force Move option, so I can't use this fix playing on the ally short of peripherals.
Any idea how I can still Force Move using controller setup or it's like so I can keep pogo sticking?

2024.05.22 00:03 timothystar viper V3 pro polling rate issue.

i just got the viper v3 pro and when i set the polling rate to 8000 it is ungodly slow. ive seen posts with the same issue and ive tried theyre fixes for it and they havent worked. i saw someone said to plug the dongle directly into the pc and make sure its not in a USB hub but interestingly when i move my dongle to a new spot that seems to fix it for all of 45 seconds and then the problem comes right back. 4k polling rate seems fine but 8K is unplayable. any help? and ive also had a problem for a while now that having my mouse polling rate above 500 at all seems to kill the fps of certain games. like if i move my mouse at all on some games like rocket league the frames immediately die and if i dont have raw input buffer on valorant that also murders the frames. no idea if these problems are connected but i could use some help. thanks

2024.05.22 00:02 Top_Season_2234 Advice about Interview/ Demo Lesson

Hi everyone,
For an interview/demo lesson how should I dress? I want to give off Ms. Honey vibes (from Matilda) but I also think I should dress professionally, perhaps a blazer some slacks. What do you think? I still donā€™t know what grade I will be doing my demo in but Iā€™m certified in B-2.
Also since I donā€™t know what to expect for my demo lesson, what advice do you have? Iā€™m thinking of doing a read aloud (If You Give A Mouse A Cookie or Rainbow Fish) and some sort of art activity after. I plan on bringing materials with me like paper, crayons etc. What should I be prepared for, what should I bring with me? Is my idea for the demo lesson boring, will it be able to land me a job?
Any advice would truly be appreciated, thank you!

2024.05.21 23:48 Possible-Dust952 Keeping the baby mouse a bit longer so i need proper accessories, please drop some budget options asap! I wanna give him a good home hopefully by this weekend or next weekend

Within the past few weeks ive been watching over this baby mouse who we had mistaken as a baby rat but hes still fairly small and is abt 4 or so weeks, we named him popcorn. At the time we werent sure if we were gonna keep him as a pet or just release him once he got old enough (when we got him he was just barely 2 weeks). We wouldve moved him to a better cage with proper enrichment earlier but he had developed and abscess that we thankfully got drained, so now that we are fairly sure he will be alright and not pass anytime soon i wanna move him out of the box he is atm. Im not sure what size our tank is but if its not 40 gallon i will probably get a tote of some sort, but i need help finding easily affordable but decent quality bedding that will be good for him and not cause issues. As well as some good chew toy and play toy options we have a wheel somewhere already just have to search the clutter in my house. Speaking of clutter i need some good Options for that too, ik branches are good, i think. But what else can i add? Id use google more but i dont want it to accidentally read false information so if you have a pet mouse please drop some ideas

2024.05.21 23:42 _Doggie_ Fury Unleashed really superised me! (In a good way)

Made a post recently asking for all of your "hidden gem" or underrated roguelikes/lites that you have played.
You guys gave me so many amazing recommendations, and I really wanna thank all of you for that, and I hope some of you found some games to try with that thread as well!
I wound up picking up a lot of new roguelites I hadn't played, Fury Unleashed being one of those.
It's funny, cause I had heard of Fury Unleashed before having it mentioned by a few people in that thread, however I just assumed it was kind of a meh game cause I always see it discounted to basically nothing on the Nintendo Switch eshop. (Which in the past has led to me purchasing literal trash rogeulites before lmao). However after seeing it mentioned a couple times in the thread i decided to give it a shot, but I got it on PC as it looked like it would be better played with mouse and keyboard (I was right lol)
I gotta say, wow this game has blown me away so far. I absolutely love the comic book story they went for, following the author's troubles as his comic becomes less and less popular. The idea of playing as a character in a comic is sweet, and it is done very very well here.
The gameplay just feels so satisfying, dashing around meleeing everything, or staying back and shooting from afar feels very satisfying. I love how the weapons can have little modifiers on them that make them different each time, and the grenades and special abilities are really fun as well!
If i had to have any gripes, I would say the item variety besides the weapons (since those can have different attributes) is pretty low for a roguelite. Weirdly however, It doesn't bother me as much in this game as it would others (which is very rare btw, I usually hate games with little to no item variety) since every run still winds up feeling different enough for me, and the gameplay is good enough to justify it.
With all of this being said I'm only a few hours in so far, however compared to the other roguelites I picked up recently, this is the one that I have played the most which I DID NOT expect at all to be the case.
So TLDR, would highl;y highly recommend this game if it looks at all interesting to you! (It does seem like it wouldn't play as well on controller though, so probably buy on pc if you do get it)

2024.05.21 23:31 amateur_elf I joined the gang!

I joined the gang!
I picked up my ROG Ally only a week ago, so I haven't had time to collect some proper peripherals for a home set up yet.
I knew I had made the right decision when I was able to play Skyrim while I sat with my boyfriend for his tattoo, (and subsequently became the envy of everyone in the shop). I've been playing ESO as well, plus a few classic games I used to love (Assassin's Creed 1 and Oblivion)
The idea of returning to a controller after literally decades with a keyboard and mouse was intimidating but I'm very glad to report that it only took a couple of days to pick it back up.
It's such a fun, nifty little device, plus being able to write and use Photoshop has been fantastic. I can't wait to see what else it can do!

2024.05.21 23:18 MagitekHero My RDM Bars - Clicking

My RDM Bars - Clicking
I apologize in advance if this bar is "DiWHY" material. ;) I'm in my 40s and decided to try to switch back to Mouse/Keyboard because of arthritis in my left index finger (holding triggers hurts after a very short while, and toggle feels WeIrD, plus just replaces holding with repetitive strain). Wanted to share my "clicking-focused" bar layout for RDM because I'm honestly really happy with it and idk, maybe someone else will get some ideas from it.
Sections are pretty self-explanatory. Single target to the left, AoE to the right. And all white/black mana spells are in that order to match the meter (white on left, black on right).
With Dawntrail's potentially customizable combos I could see the Melee Combo row probably getting simplified quite a bit. *fingers crossed*

I love this snapshot. This picture is alive!šŸ¤©
The 3 girlfriends, the divas of the village, are waiting with their hands on their hips on the left side for the ice cream and popcorn sold by Goofy.šŸ¦šŸæ Stitch already got his ice cream. He has already eaten the green apple flavored ice cream. His smile tells you that he really liked it.šŸšŸ¦ Belle in the background patiently waits for the fresh, salty, crunchy pretzels until they are ready.šŸ„ØšŸŒ¹ Minnie, Donald, Mickey and Ursula return home with souvenirs after today's fun at the theme park. Queuing takes a long time. Donald took off his hat, the weather is very hot.ā˜€ļøšŸŽŠ Daisy dressed really nice for today. Someone is calling him. Who could it be?šŸ—£šŸŽ€

2024.05.21 22:13 farcryfan23 Far Cry: New Dawn Revamped Ideas

Iā€™m not a New Dawn hater I actually love the game but I have made some ideas for a revamped version of the game.
DLCS: 1: Inside Joseph: Far Cry 5 This DLC would be from the perspective of Joseph during Far Cry 5ā€™s events with the deputy and his siblings
2: Surviving Impact You would play as a new character who lives in Montana Hope County when the nuke gets dropped. Itā€™s basically about surviving the initial blast.
3: The Deputy Judge This would take place in the bunker from Deputyā€™s perspective when itā€™s just him and Joseph. You would go through stages of grief and insanity.
4: Protecting The Country This DLC would have you play as Ajay Ghale and the follow-ups to him nuking Montana.
Other Features: Montana is bigger
Story is longer and more fleshed out with better character development
Mickey and Lou feature more
RPG Mechanics are less severe. Less parts are needed for crafting.
An enemies gun that they drop on kill correlates to the enemies rarity. Makes ground loot more useful.
The character you control has dialogue
Colouring is more vibrant
New Guns including makeshift weapons
Less dead space
The ability to takedown is not locked behind perks
More Side missions
Length of story is increased by 5 hours
More outposts
Deputy Trials: Similar to Clutch Nixon but instead itā€™s killing in the deputyā€™s situations
Is able to run 4K, 240 FPS
Better animal physics
Graphical overhaul
Perma-Death mode
Less Linear. A bit like Far Cry 5ā€™s system. Maybe with Mickey, Lou and another villain
More companions. Return of Hurk and others whilst adding new ones too.
Revamp in stealth
No Hive Mind enemies.
More Prepper Stashes
Feature to rebuild old locations. EG: Josephā€™s Church, Falls End, Hope County Jail, Lamb Of The God Church, Rae Raeā€™s pumpkin farm
Anything else I should add?
