I was hired last April 15, 2024-- on this not so called wine distributor company which is located in Marikina, na merong online market like grab/shopee/lazada (pero hindi naman siya mabenta tbh) as her personal assistant, and the agreement was I was suppose to be her part time liason and assistant to her. She agree naman on my terms na 4 days a week lang pasok ko pero 8-5 ang working hours. And then this lady boss (who is around her 60's) is so bossy na everytime na nagsastate ako ng suggestions she feels disgusted. Everytime I suggest something she would say a big "NO" to my face. Di ko nga rin alam sa kanya bakit niya pa ko nahired at the first place kung meron na rin pala nagtake ng spot sa position na inapplyan ko sa kanya. And to the fact na ayaw niya yung mga brainstorming ideas ko sa company.
I got terminated last May 9, 2024-- The reason why I got terminated after 20 days is --- hindi daw ako nakikinig sa rules niya and at the same time di ko raw ginagawa yung work bilang assistant to her. I have my reasons kung bakit ako nagpapart time with her tapos all of the sudden biglang sasabihin sakin na magulo ako kausap at gusto niya sana e FULL TIME ako (well makatarungan ba yung minimum na ₱573 per day without benefits sa kanya para maging FULL TIME sa kanya?) ng dahil lang sa hindi lang napirmahan yung isang document (na sinabi ko naman with her na I would gladly signed it on the next day) but she didnt accept my reason, without further explanation, she terminate me and wants me to pay her damage of ₱250 pesos. (This is my transportation/the petty cash of the company) So ibabawas pa niya dun sa last pay ko. Tapos hindi rin niya daw babayaran ung nilast day ko. Hindi na rin ako pinapasok after. Tapos madami na siya sinabi sa assistant niya na "madam ibabawas nalang yung ₱250 mo, tapos minus pa yung additional fees (na hindi ko alam kung ano man yung additional fees na yan) since I have no choice at gusto ko na rin matapos tong magulong eksena na to umagree na lang ako na bawasan niya yung ₱250.
Then May 15th came. Hindi pumasok yung agreement ng last pay. I tried to ask them why it takes so long, inaayos pa daw eh nagiisa nalang gagawin niyang payroll. Wala silang HR at ako lang din gumagawa ng payroll during my first cut off with her.
I tried SeNa (DOLE Complaint Hotline/Online) and it worked naman pala yung complaint ko regarding this matter. And ang nakakagulat pa nalaman ko na hindi lang ako yung nagreklamo sa company niya, madami na rin pala siyang violations sa previous employees niya.
Then this day, she paid nman pero this time di na niya nabawasan yung ₱250 na akala ko babawasan niya. Siguro natakot na rin siya na di ko alam ang gagawin kong hakbang sa kanya.
And bilang lesson learn this sakin tong experience na to kasi this is my first time I encountered this businesswoman na sobrang unprofessional when it comes to her employees, no wonder na palugi na din negosyo niya pero at the end I still hope she change her attitude, not only for her clients and customers but to her employees as well.

Now, despite caring for his friends, Mario was still mostly seen as a jerky, negative character; often choosing spaghetti over his own friends and family, and generally seeming to care about spaghetti more than anything else. However, that would all change with the introduction of one character: Meggy.
As soon as she was introduced, it was clear that Meggy was very different than any character that came before her. She was more of an emotionally driven character, which led to much more emotionally driven scenes with her and her friends. And it just so happened that her best friend (at the time) happened to be Mario.
Now, Meggy's introduction episode, If Mario Was In... Splatoon, starts out like any normal If Mario Was In... episode. It follows Mario travelling to a new world, meeting the main charactes that inhabit that world, and unintentionally messing everything up with his stupidity. However, this time, things were a bit different. Mario and Meggy actually started forming a friendship; and Mario wanted to help Meggy achieve her dreams of winning the Splatfest. However, despite their efforts, it wasn't enough. They lost. Meggy begins to cry, as she didn't understand how, after training so hard, she still lost. This makes Mario feel bad, as he knows that it was probably his fault for goofing off too much in the first half of the game. Mario walks over to Meggy and comforts her, trying to cheer her up, only to forget what he was doing and start talking about spaghetti. Mario's stupidity in this scene actually cheers Meggy up, and makes her laugh. And this scene, right here, is the first time we ever see Mario get emotional or care about anything else other than spaghetti.
In the episodes that follow Meggy's debut, we see her getting closer and forming relationships with Mario, as well as the rest of his friends. They had a few wholesome moments here and there, with Meggy usually having to save Mario from danger (and Mario even saving her from danger on one occasion in Wild, Wild Mario.) And overtime, we get to see Mario change; becoming a more loving, caring, and emotional character. In the previous part, all those moments where Mario was shown actually caring about Luigi were after Meggy's introduction. In the Mario convention, Mario was deeply disturbed after finding that Luigi and Meggy had been transformed into T-Pose zombies, even crying about it. Meggy brought out the best in Mario, and Mario taught Meggy to be more carefree and not worry about things so much. However, the peak of their relationship as friends has yet to come.
In the episode Meggy's Bootcamp, during the Anime Arc, Meggy attempts to train Mario, Luigi, and Tari for the Splatfest. However, she is too hard on them. She treats them without consideration of their own limits and boundaries instead of encouragement. Luigi and Tari are too wimpy, and Mario doesn't take it seriously enough. Meggy ends up snapping at her friends over the Splatfest, before running away after realizing what she did. Mario, after seeing her clear discomfort, decides to go over there to console her. Meggy explains that she thought she would've won Splatfest by then, but that it's been two whole years and she still hadn't won a single game, making her feel like a total loser. She tells him that she felt bad about the way she treated her friends, and her feelings shouldn't have given her the right to act that way. So, to console her, Mario does something that nobody would've ever seen him doing; something that he hasn't done before or since this moment. Mario gives Meggy the one thing that he seems to care about more than anything in the whole world; Mario gives Meggy his spaghetti.
This moment shocked the fanbase, as it showed that, despite everything, Mario did have a heart somewhere in there. In episodes following this, Mario would continue to show the same care for Meggy that he did in these aforementioned episodes. He was the only one who remembered Meggy in Final Hours, the finale to the Anime Arc, as not even Saiko, who Meggy just helped to unban anime despite not caring for it at all herself, put any thought into Meggy in that moment. In Meggy's Destiny, Mario helps Meggy win the Splatfest, and even uses his brain, even if for just one moment, to find out that one of the teams cheated, allowing for Meggy to finally win the Splatfest. Their relationship was in its prime.
(The following is slightly outdated because the problem has calmed down a bit since I originally posted this, but it's still valid enough to include, and I'm not just going to erase it all, anyways.)
However, if you look into more recent episodes, you can see Mario getting beat up and pushed around by just about EVERYONE he considers his "friend". Even TARI is guilty of this. At the end of the most recent episode at the time of originally writing this (I wrote this on fandom first), The Day My Arm Went Psycho, Tari is seen yelling out Mario to apologize to the gorilla that was attacking him, despite literally doing nothing wrong, and she doesn't even help him escape the gorilla at the end of the episode.
And that's not all, either. Saiko, back when she used to appear in episodes, never was actually friends with Mario, and was usually the main one antagonizing him. Even SMG4, despite being best friends with Mario for over 10 years, hasn't been treating him the best recently. However, there is no character that treats Mario worse nowadays than Meggy.
Now, it started off as more of a friendly "sibling-rivalry", which shows Mario and Meggy increasingly going at each other's throats over mundane issues, such as chocolate or McDonald's. While at first, this wasn't that much of a big deal, as it could be funny sometimes, many people who were fans of Mario and Meggy's previously wholesome relationship were not happy. Little did they know, however, the worst was yet to come.
In recent episodes, it has gotten to the point where Meggy essentially attacks Mario for existing. This really started in Boys vs. Girls, in which, after losing to the girls in a competition, Mario, Bowser, and Axol mess up the girls' room, starting a friendly prank battle with them. However, the girls immediately take it way too far, feeding the boys to a fish, setting Mario on fire, breaking both of Bowser's hands, and getting Axol raped. The boys pranks, on the other hand, consisted of much more lighthearted pranks, such as scaring Tari. Now, usually, none of this would even matter, as this was just classic SMG4's nonsensical, slapstick humor. However, the ending of the episode is what changes everything.
The boys end up getting a bear, which ends up attacking the girls. While Saiko and Meggy were able to move out of the way, Tari isn't so lucky. The girls instantly act as though Mario and the boys "went too far", despite that being exactly what the girls had been doing throughout the ENTIRE episode, and showing Saiko even wanting to HURT the boys for doing this. The boys end up apologizing, despite the girls being the ones who did the MAJORITY of the mean pranks. And just when we thought the episode couldn't get any worse, the girls don't even accept the apology until using the boys as HUNTING targets, having them dress up in embarrassing bunny outfits and everything.
Since this episode, Meggy has been more prone to mistreating Mario in general. In POV: You're Mario, when Mario and Meggy switch places for a day, and Mario admits that it's too hard being her, Meggy's first instinct is to immediately laugh at and bully Mario, despite her literally just about to admit that it was hard being him. In Mario Goes On a Diet, Meggy forces Mario to go on a diet despite him clearly not wanting to. In episodes like Mario Goes Fishing, Meggy stops Mario and Bob from eating the fish (despite that literally being the point of fishing). Even in the most recent episode (at the time, which was The Day My Arm Went Psycho), Meggy sprays Mario with a water gun for NO REASON when he was LITERALLY TRYING TO HELP HER CONSOLE TARI. And it really doesn't help that Meggy is nearly impervious to all the cruel slapstick humor that Mario is practically haunted by at this point. That's why Tari's arm punching the life out of Meggy was the most satisfying in an SMG4 moment in a looong time, in my opinion. Easily the best part of that otherwise God-awful episode.
I remember when people used to say that Mario deserved better than Peach, and that Peach was just a negative, bossy person, and showing him with Meggy instead. But at this point, Meggy has become exactly what Peach was.
And that's not all, either. Mario's friends, in general, mistreat Mario all the time. Mario's friend should be accepting Mario as a friend for who he is despite his stupidity (the same stupidity that was CURSED onto him by the SMGs, btw). But instead, it's something that they constantly berate, get annoyed at, and even DEHUMANIZE him for.
In the 2022 Christmas Special, for instance, Meggy literally CHAINS MARIO TO A POLE, and treats him like an ANIMAL, just to stop him from eating the food before it was time to eat. Then, Mario uses Axol Jr. to get some food, and accidentally throws it at Bob. Meanwhile, shenanigans at the other table end up causing SMG3 to kick SMG4 at Bob, causing Axol Jr. to go flying and get injured. Melony gets mad at Mario for this, and his "friends" immediately shift all the blame onto him. Now, don't get me wrong; Melony has every right to be mad at Mario. But the blame should've been SHARED. Even SMG3, who's literally the one who kicked SMG4 into Bob and caused Axol Jr. to be injured, shifts all the blame onto Mario, calls him an idiot, and even accuses him of ruining Christmas. Don't forget that all of this is AFTER they found out about Mario's origins.
In Smart Mario, the entire group agrees that Mario's stupidity is too much, and they get E. Gadd to "fix" him. Granted, this was before they found out about his origins, but still. Then, when Mario's newfound smartness is too much for them to handle, they force him to become an idiot again, despite him begging and pleading for them not to. In If Mario was the Last Man on Earth, all of Mario's friends ditch him because they're scared that he's going to mess up a PIZZA world record, which causes him to slowly slip into insanity from the loneliness that they left with him with.
Again, it would be different if all this stuff was actually funny. After all, I said in the previous part that part of what made SMG4 so funny and memorable is that it was a cast of objectively bad people getting themselves into crazy, nonsensical situations. But it's not funny. None of this is funny, even if they're trying to be. We're watching a mentally challenged guy get beat up and tortured by his so-called "friends" for entertainment.
Now, I'm not going to sit here and pretend that Mario is some perfect angel who is always in the right, and the world is just constantly beating down on him completely undeservedly. We all know that's not true. (In fact, there have been times in more recent episodes where Mario has been very annoying, and sometimes completely insufferable. However, I'll get into that a bit more later.)
But the very worst example of this is in the Lawsuit Arc; specifically in the episode "If Mario Was In Splatoon 3." In this episode, Mario has already been reverted back to his original personality by Lawyer Kong. When Meggy and SMG4 find him, they immediately try to turn him back, despite them usually hating his stupidity, besides when it entertains them.
Now, we all know that in real life, the reason that Mario is reverted back to his stupid self is so the show can continue. But in the canon, what is the reason? Now, the reason that the writers seem to push is that SMG4 and Meggy just want Mario to remember them and their adventures; however, that's selfish, as Meggy (and especially SMG4) know how much Mario was hurt by the Guardian Pod and SMG4's arrival. Mario went from the beloved hero of the Mushroom Kingdom who was known for being heroic and fighting off evil; he went from having a loving girlfriend, Peach, as well as a wonderful relationship with his brother, Luigi; to becoming a fat idiot that nearly the entire Mushroom Kingdom despised. His relationship with his brother was damaged immensely; Peach, Toad, and others who used to love and look up to him began to hate him, and his only "friends" treated him like shit. If SMG4 and Meggy were really his friends, they would've tried to befriend the NEW Mario by explaining the situation to him, telling him about past adventures, and try to reintroduce themselves to him. But instead, they try and revert him back into the saddest, most pathetic version of himself.
And it's not just Mario who was negatively affected by the Guardian Pod, but the entire kingdom! Luigi began to be bullied more by the people around him for his wimpy personality. Peach went from a kind, loving person to being bossy, naggy, stupid, and insane. Toad went from being the most loyal citizen in the Mushroom Kingdom to absolutely hating his life due to the newfound stupidity spread all around the kingdom, how poorly he was treated by Princess Peach, and how he was stuck in a loveless relationship with a crazed Toadette (who was most likely also affected by the Guardian Pod) who would probably kill him he attempted to break up with her. The only person who WASN'T negatively affected by the Guardian Pod was Bowser, who became a much more carefree, wholesome, and down to earth character after SMG4's arrival. Unfortunately, however, as much as we all love Bowser, one person is not worth an entire kingdom.
The truth is that Lawyer Kong, despite how much of a terrible person he was, and how immoral his ethics were, was right. Life in the Mushroom Kingdom was better before SMG4 arrived. Everybody was much happier before the bastardization of the entire world. And sure, they "saved the Earth a bunch of times", but even THAT was caused by SMG4. The truth is that the Waluigi Arc, the Anime Arc, the YouTube Arc, and even smaller issues like the Bob the Rapper arc, would've never happened if SMG4 didn't arrive. Now, as for Niles, it is unknown if he would've come whether SMG4 was there or not, or if regular Mario and the others would've been enough to defeat SMG0. So, that's gonna be left as a big question mark for now. But either way, Lawyer Kong was right. I feel like having him say it out of all people was the writer's way to get people to immediately disagree with him no matter what just because he's the villain. But just because the villain is saying something doesn't make it wrong; Lawyer Kong just handled it in an antagonistic way.
So anyways, if SMG4's arrival had this much of a negative affect on the world, and SMG4 knows this, then why would he be so quick to revert everyone back to the way they were AFTER he arrived when he's literally being given a second chance to make things right? It's because of the content. Without all these characters being stupid, he can't make content using them. As for Meggy, Mario's stupidity merely entertains her, and gives her an excuse to treat him like a punching bag.
And the worst part is that in this state, Mario can't even properly defend himself. Sure, he ends up siding with SMG4, and claims he doesn't want to be his original self anymore, but the truth is that Mario doesn't know what's best for him anymore. Mario was happier on an average day in his past life than he ever was in his current life.
Really, it seems that Mario's only actual friend is, ironically, Bowser. In SMG4, while Mario and Bowser have antagonized each other in the past, this is usually only when Peach is involved, and the two usually have a great friendship otherwise. Whether they're doing their cooking show, or just hanging out, Mario and Bowser seem to have a better friendship than any other character in the show; lately, even Mario's friendship with SMG4 is in decline for the reasons stated above.
Even in the most recent episode starring the two, "Mario Steals the Constitution", all the rest of Mario's friends are too busy to do anything. Or at least, everyone except for Bowser. Throughout the episode, Mario and Bowser have a mutual respect for each other, something that Mario doesn't currently have with any of the other characters in the series. They fought alongside each other, and saved each other when the other was in danger. It is also important to note that the reason Mario stole the constitution in the first place is because none of Mario's other "friends" even cared enough to celebrate it with him. The only exception for this is, again, Bowser, who talks about it without Mario even needing to remind him.
However, Mario's friends aren't the only detriment to him. The biggest detriment to the character of Mario is his own flanderization.
In the past, Mario has always been stupid. But it wasn't the only character trait he had. In addition to the jokes about his stupidity and love for spaghetti generally being funnier and more creative, they also made jokes about other character traits; for instance, his short temper, self-proclaimed "sexiness," and his bizarre pride of his obesity, as well as other general flaws that they could mold into funny situations. During the 2017-2021 era, Mario, despite being a flawed idiot, was shown to deeply care about his friends, showing that he was more than just a spaghetti-loving idiot; he was a spaghetti-loving idiot with a big heart. And while Mario was extremely stupid, he was never afraid to get into fights and have some seriously badass moments when it was necessary. For instance, in the original Freddy's Spaghettiria, when he gets fed up by all of the animatronics's crap and takes over the Spaghettiria; or in Bad Stars 2, when he in SMG4 defeat an army of Teletubbies in a fight scene that would nowadays be preserved for Meggy and only Meggy. Mario also had moments of self-awareness, such as in Mario's Train Trip, in which he pulls out the train controls to stop the train, only to instantly regret his decision and realize he did something stupid.
In most modern depictions, however (2022-some of 2024), Mario is an incredibly stupid, fat, pathetic blob who gets pushed around by everyone, can't fight, and cries over spaghetti. We rarely get something like the scene I described in Mario's Train Trip nowadays, as he would likely just get beat up over his stupid decision instead of having a moment of clarity and regret about it. By far his worst appearance is probably How To Train Your Mario. In this episode, Mario is straight up insufferable, as we're forced to listen to him cry, whine, and complain like a literal baby, and we're supposed to find this funny? He doesn't stand up for himself at all, and is depicted as completely pathetic.
Though, I have to admit, following the whole Puzzlevision thing, Mario has been starting to really feel a lot like himself. Mario's subplot in the Puzzlevision movie was phenomenal (even if I do think he should've been the star of this movie instead of SMG4), and his performance in the most recent episode NOW, Super Mario 64 Poorly Explained, was great. I really hope we see more of this from Mario, as well as the series as a whole, in the future. Because I don't know about you all, but I miss the Mario whose stupidity and misadventures always made me laugh. I miss the Mario who was competent enough to be serious at times and not annoying. I miss the idiot with the big heart. And honestly, I'm tired of missing this Mario. I really hope the following episodes continue this trend.
(And now, here's a rant about Mario's power-level because I spent 2 weeks researching all the SMG4 characters in order to rank them in a super-accurate power-level tier list one time and I know care way too much about the subject.)
You know, while I am disappointed about this Saturday's upload being the Power Ranking Tier List (when I wrote this), and while I don't agree with some of the rankings and am disappointed that some characters didn't even get ranked at all, one thing that I am glad about is the fact that they fixed Mario's ranking and moved him to the top of S-Tier. If you weren't aware, a few years back, Luke and James did a similar Power Level Tier List, where they placed Mario in B-Tier. And this was after the Genesis Arc, where he was revealed to be the Universe Avatar. This decision never made sense to me for a multitude of reasons. For one, in that same ranking, they placed Sans in S-Tier. However, in the Undertale episode, when Sans and Mario fought, Mario BEAT Sans. This event ALONE should've automatically placed Mario above Sans in S-Tier.
And if that wasn't enough, Mario is literally invincible; the only being in the entire universe that had the power to kill him is dead, and if he dies, the entire universe dies with him. Not only that, but Mario has a multitude of completely overpowered power-ups, such as Cappy, which allows him to literally possess people, the Giga Bell, which allows him to go Super Saiyan, power-ups that allow him the ability of flight, fire, ice, invincibility, and so much more. And even without power-ups, Mario has already been shown to be incredibly strong in both SMG4 and Regular Mario canon. In the Freddy's Spaghettiria series, Mario was able to throw around animatronics (that must of weighed HUNDREDS of pounds) around with ease. He can break bricks with his bear hands, and in Super Mario World, he kicked an ENTIRE CASTLE into the sky without power-ups. So the fact that the writers have been depicting him as this babbling, pathetic weakling who can't stand up for himself, as well as the flanderization they've added to the character, is just immensely disrespectful to the character. The truth is that the character development that Meggy brought to Mario softened him A LOT, to the point of where he doesn't even stand up to himself when people are physically attacking him. Because the truth is, if Mario wanted to kill the entire cast, in-between his immense power and his invincibility, he would easily solo. If Mario and Meggy met by Mario seeing Meggy take the last plate of spaghetti, I have a feeling that Meggy wouldn't be appearing in current episodes.)
Y'know, I've been doing a lot of thinking, lately, and I realized that SMG4 isn't going to last forever. And one thing that I want to happen before it ends is for Mario to finally snap from the horrible treatment he's been getting from his friends, and either demand apologies or ditch them entirely. I also want him to realize that he's stronger than he knows, and that he shouldn't let people just walk all over him whenever they please.
So, that's about it really. This ended up being WAY longer than I thought, but I will be doing more of these. Tell me which character you'd like to see analyzed next. Anyways, later.

Been married over 3 years. We have a toddler with another one on the way. My husband definitely sees me “controlling” by the way he says things to me. He acts like I am bossy when I’m just trying to look at all the options or bring up other ideas. I know where he gets it from though. I’ve never been a fan of his dad. His dad constantly talks down on his mom (his mom takes it) and claims to know everything. He makes all the decisions period. My husband is definitely not like his dad but definitely has some of his qualities to a degree. If I make a suggestion we go through with and it doesn’t pan out the way he wants, he never lets me live it down. And I absolutely tell him that! And he denies that he drills me on that stuff. Anyway, if I’m being honest, marriage has been really hard the last year. And to be brutally honest, sometimes I’m wondering if I made the right decision by his attitude and the way he does things. Today I was texting him about his parents staying and he said we’d talk about it later. I said one more thing about it in closing and he immediately called me to say stop texting - I told you we’d talk about it later. Really?? Or earlier I let our chickens out to get fresh air (they’e been locked up) and he had a hernia saying I should’ve asked him first and he didn’t want them out until after work (cruel?). Chickens are another story and 10/10 don’t recommend if you’re marriage is rocky Lol (they were his idea). He DOES have a lot of great qualities that I do admire but idk it’s been hard. And there’s just been a lot of doubt. There have been several times I got really upset and brought up martial counseling and/or talking to a priest but he brushes it off and says everything is fine. Obviously I can’t force him so how do I get through this? I’m terrified to think that as he gets older he turns more into his dad with the way things have been going. Edited to add: I also told him several times recently that we can’t have any discussions about anything without him immediately shutting things down or thinking it’s some kind of argument when all I’m trying to do is talk.

Nung college ako, pinag-aral ako sa probinsya. Buong buhay ko sa Maynila ako natira. Ang sabi kasi nila mas safe kung sa province ako mag-aaral since babae daw ako. Wala akong kakilala kaya nung orientation, nakipagkilala ako sa mga ka-course ko na IT. Tuwang tuwa ako kasi may naging friend ako. Tawagin natin siyang "A". Si A ay nakasundo ko agad since same course kami. Naging close kami since same ang sched and subjects namin and lagi kaming seatmate.
Sa isang class namin, sinabihan kami na ang final group project namin is mag-present based sa story na mapipili namin. Syempre, ang kagrupo ko ay si A at mga ka-course namin na naging tropa na rin. Halo-halo kasi courses sa klase. Nagtanong ako kung ano gagawin namin sa final project pero wala silang sinasagot, ang sagot lang nila is "bahala kayo" or "ok lang sakin kahit ano". Since academic achiever ako, di pwede ganito dahil walang mangyayari kaya nag-suggest ako ng gagawin namin. Pumayag naman sila and since ako na nagsuggest, ako na rin nagtakeover ng mga need gawin. Tinanong ko naman sila kung ok lang ako mag-delegate, ok naman daw sa kanila. At dahil dito, nagsimula mag-iba ugali sakin ni A. Napansin ko afterwards na naiwas siya sakin and ang lagi na niyang kasama is yung 1 kagrupo namin. Let's call her B. Iniiwasan na din ako ni B nung lagi na sila magkasama. May times nakikipagkwentuhan ako kay A tapos tinatawanan nya ako kahit walang nakakatawa at titignan si B. Tapos tatawa silang 2 tapos titignan ako na parang weirdo ako. Eto na nga, may subject kami na project management and ang finals namin is i-manage yung system dev na class ng prof namin. Kami magdedecide if Pass or Fail sila. Andun sa system dev si A and B (close ko na si B nito). Bunutan, pinagdasal ko naman na wag ko sila mabunot since magkagrupo sila pero sila pa rin nabunot ko. Goal ng class nila is makabuo ng working program. I tried and did my best wag maging bias kay A pero namumuro talaga siya. Magseset kami ng meetings to discuss, di uma-attend. Bibigyan mo ng task, di ginagawa tapos magbibigay pa ng code, hindi man lang gumagana or di man lang tinanggal yung pangalan ng hiniraman niya ng code. Additional work lagi ginagawa niya kaya mismong mga kagrupo na niya nagrereklamo sa kanya na pabigat siya. Nagpupuyat kami to finish yung project tapos di namin siya ma-contact. Kaya nung decision time na, binagsak ko siya. Narinig ko nagmakaawa daw siya sa prof na ipasa siya kaya kinausap ako ng prof kung di ko ba daw talaga pagbibigyan. Naisip ko yung 2 niyang kagrupo na todo effort sa project, tapos siya papasa ng walang ambag? Ayaw ko din ng ganyan kagrupo kasi alam ko feeling kaya sinabi ko sa prof na hindi talaga magbabago isip ko kasi ang unfair sa kagrupo niya. Iyak daw ng iyak si A nun. Malaki kutob ko na inisip niya na pinersonal ko siya pero alam ko sa sarili ko na di ganun ginawa ko.
I consider myself lucky pa rin kasi kahit siniraan ako ni A sa department namin may mga kumilala pa rin sakin. Nakakaloka lang na randomly ka sasabihan ng "di naman pala totoo yung sabi-sabi about sayo". Akala ko kasi tapos na meron pa rin pala pinagsasabi about me haha. After ko grumaduate, pinutol ko lahat ng comms ko sa campus since bumalik na rin ako sa Manila for work.

I also recently connected din with B and di maiwasan na nagkakwentuhan kami regarding dito. Tinigilan na daw ako ni A nung grumaduate ako pero ang ugali, ganun pa rin daw. Hilig pa rin daw pagchismisan ibang tao. She got fed up kaya umiwas na rin daw sya. Tinanong ko si B bakit nga ba ayaw sakin ni A, inggit ba or something. Sagot ni B, ayaw lang daw talaga sakin ni A, walang rason. Haha may ganung tao pala.

What is the best way to deal with toxic church members?
I try hard to be friendly and get to know them, even exchange numbers but they never continue talking or being friendly only the elder women and 1 or two ppl..Idk what to do. I already tried 3 different places in the span of 10 yrs and its always end up being the same 😢
Ppl immediately start treating me badly, bad looks of anger and or envy. Almost demonic. Females Ignoring me, avoiding me... men acting strange around me. Almost wounded like or offended etc without any reason. One male almost picking on me calling me out while I slightly nodded off as he preached (Hes not a pastor) and then in the youth e event. I am always friendly and smile with everyone and I dress modestly and am pretty shy.
Today one of them did the rudest thing ever, I went to her to ask her if she had my ticket number( they were playing a bible game) so I called out to her "sister" and she yelled out "I'm no sister of yours" in front of everyone. I was flabbergasted
I stopped going to church for years and I went back just last month and this is what I go back to 😔 Advice appreciated

I am timid but confident I can also be very social when I feel comfortable. As soon as I arrived with my husband to the church we greeted everyone. I greet people with confidence and friendliness. I prayed together with one. I immediately create connection with those who I see can be good, exchange numbers, i contacted one and told her I was excited about choir then the day we went she greeted me with a hug and then right after she took our son to the bible class and I thanked her she gave me a strange look. After she never approached me or anything. Since that day she has been acting distant and weird..
Another I never spoke to as I didnt have the chance to acted strangely. Giving bad angry vibes. Called us out in the midle of a group meeting. Basically bossy like and almos intimidated behavior for no absolute reason. Never spoke before. The first one even though I asked the first to introduce me to her, which she never did or had the chance to.
Another even more strange, she sang in church the first time we went. I was so impressed. Smiled friendly several times at her on her way back to being seated and was excited to speak to and connect with and she didnt smile back and had a strange angry look then avoided me the rest of the day. The next week, another sister called her to ask to add me to choir group cause I joined the choir and she didnt even turn her face to me and handed me her phone for me to put my information while having her back and legs on the church bench. I ignored it and handed her the phone. Week after, I took our son to kids bible class and she was surprised to see me and she turned her body to not have to interact with me lol. Just strange behavior.
When I am on the table and interacting with new people and women they act anxious and I feel sttange vibes as well which makes me feel uncomfortable and now has made me not talk much to them.

As for the men, I dont do anything in particular. I am very reserved at first like I said due to being timid at first. So all I do is smile and greet. Since I am married I try to be as respectfull. I dont purposely go up to them to talk unless we are all sitting at a table eating lunch. If i am im a table I speak with them. Most of them start speaking to me or my husband first. But onetime I spoke to one men and complimented his singing that day and he stood surprised and silent but the women next to him spoke to me. He had a wife so I figured and understood it was because of this but the other men act strange too.
For example what I mentioned in the post. The choir instructor calling me out etc in front of ppl. Last week he did it again and sat behind me but didnt speak which I felt was weird and I felt strange vibes. Then during the youth service called me out again when the speaker gave me a gift bag cause I was the first one to go upstairs for the class. He said "does it really count cause she probably just came up cause she didnt know we didnt have choir practice" . He has a wife btw and knows I am married. Other men in church act offended? I dont purposefully go up to them to speak cause we are all married as a respect to my husband and their wives. So i do try to avoid them as much as possible. One men I asked if he could take our family mothers day pic since they had a church photoshoot and he did and I thanked him. Later acted weirdly. Another too without us ever interacting. Both walked ahead of me and the other girls when we finished the missionary work and then looked right at me like "hey i am a man and I walked before you, pay attention to me". Lol. I dont understand this behavior.
What am I doing wrong???

Like the old saying goes "air fuels fire" which is why when you put fire signs together with air signs you're going to get a fun and exciting combination between two persistent and strong minded personalities. Aries are all about confidence, courage, competition, and taking action while Aquarius is all about freedom, independence, responsibility, and individuality. The Ram will be drawn to The Water Barrier's creativity, intellect and outside the box thinking while Aquarius will be drawn to Aries's confidence, need for variety and keeping things new and interesting. Both of them are natural born rebels and don't like being controlled or tied down by anyone. Both of them have a great sense of humor and will make each other laugh and since air signs are more thinkers than feelers The Water Barrier won't be easily hurt or offended by The Ram's straightforward and honest truths as they have the ability to see things from multiple perspectives. Both are impatient and can have a quick temper however once they do release their frustration they get over shit very quickly and aren't typically the type to hold a grudge as neither of them likes holding onto the past.
The problems arise when Aries sees Aquarius as independent and aloof while Aquarius can get annoyed by the Ram's bossy and parental nature and unlike Gemini which is more adaptable than The Water Barrier Aquarius isn't quite as open to change and variety which The Ram craves that is unless The Water Barrier has a moon sign in the element of fire (i.e Sagittarius). Even though it depends on other points of compatibility and not just sun sign compatibility these two signs do typically have personalities that compliment each other very well.

Hey all. I just wanted to stop by and write my thoughts and feelings here and get some things off my chest. I do not need advice, just someone who could spare some time to read and allow me to get things off my chest. First and foremost, I am an introvert. I grew up poor, the fifth of 11 siblings. I was not the brightest in school, but I am intelligent, graduated high school with a 3.47 GPA, but that means nothing. Given my family's poverty, I could have easily gotten money to attend higher education, but I hated the fake educational system. Also, the closest university was over an hour in any direction from me. So, I joined the U.S. Navy, became a Hospital Corpsman, served in combat in Afghanistan. I eventually achieved the rank of lower enlisted non-commissioned officer (E-4) which, when I was enlisted, and due to my rating, was VERY hard to come by. With former President Obama's reduction in forces act order, I found myself being honorably discharged after 6.5 years of active duty service. I married my now ex-wife who was very domineering and at first, I struggled with my introversion, shyness, and go-with-the-flow attitude towards her matter-of-fact, do-as-I-say, just overall bossy demeanor. It wasn't until about three years later I realized I actually am submissive. I HATE how responsibility is always on my shoulders. I thrive in stressful environments, I have shown time after time that I am more than a force to be reckoned with in my professional life yet, when I come home, I want nothing to do with leading anybody. I want to be led. I found my now GF, who is 13 years older than me, married, unhappily, with two childern. She has been very adamant She wants nothing to do with breaking up Her family unit, and 99.99% of my life is spent with me alone with my two cats. She had me move next door and pay Her rent. She is heir to a multimillion dollar propane company, and the property is Hers. I only see Her when She wants me to satisfy Her sexually. I saw Her a lot when I lived seven mins away, but living leas than 300 ft. from Her I see Her as a rarity now. We have been a couple for four years now but this year seems I am more of a fuck toy than a boyfriend. I guess my thing is how do I maintain my sanity knowing I am a sexual toy towards Her and get over my other feelings?

Review

Logopolis is the keystone. If you destroy Logopolis, you unravel the whole Causal Nexus. – The Monitor
Logopolis is, on paper at least, a very busy story. You've got a new companion to introduce, a new incarnation of the Master to establish, a plot about the universe ending, another new companion to establish after being introduced but not really made into a companion last story and, oh yeah, a regeneration. That's a lot.
So why does the story feel so stretched out?
Don't get me wrong, once it gets going, Logopolis is honestly a great story. The final episode and a half are genuinely engrossing television, some of the best material of the whole season (though admittedly there are even some caveats to that). But getting there…hoo boy.
What's funny is that I don't think cutting Logopolis down an episode or two solves the problem. The pacing issue here isn't length, it's something a bit more basic than that. See there's actually a lot happening in the first two and a half episodes, it just all takes the form of moving the characters into the positions that they need to be in for the climax. If not for the Master killing Tegan's Aunt Vanessa in episode 1 and the cloister bell ringing a bunch throughout the same episode, there would be no sense of danger in that episode, but you couldn't really cut much of it out. Because it's all important. It's just that there's no actual peril associated with it. It's moving around characters like pieces on a chessboard so that we can get to the good stuff.
The story opens with the Doctor deciding to go to Earth so that he can measure a police box. He wants to do this so that he can get exact measurements of the thing. And why does he want to do that? Well, simply put, if he does that, he can then go to Logopolis so that the Logopolitans can fix the chameleon circuit. Which is interesting, but doesn't really feel like the setup to a grand adventure. And yet there is a, quite effective, sense of foreboding that builds up behind all of this. This is the first time we hear the cloister bell, and, as a surprisingly late addition to Doctor Who's standard sound effects, it's pretty effective. It doesn't sound like your standard alarm noise, yet it perfectly encapsulates the idea of something dangerous happening – perfect for the idiosyncratic TARDIS. And of course there's the looming presence of the Watcher. A silent figure always just barely in frame, the Watcher is perfectly set up as the harbinger of something bad.
What he is though…is another matter entirely, but we're not there yet.
After a lot of time spent getting Tegan on the TARDIS, getting her Aunt Vanessa killed by the Master and various other shenanigans we finally arrive on the titular planet of Logopolis. That planet's society is so devoted to the study of mathematics that they can execute something called "block transfer computation" which allows for the creation of actual matter by reciting what is effectively a computer program. This is essentially a magic spell, though the story does a lot of work trying to present it as something more scientific. The way the Monitor – the Logopolitan leader – describes it, Logopolis essentially acts as a living computer. They could build actual computers, but the calculations they do are so subtle and complex that they would actually alter the computers themselves, rendering the programs useless.
And then writeScript Editor Christopher H. Bidmead does something clever. He makes Logopolis a culmination of the big arc that dominated much of the season.
It's often said that "entropy" is the main theme of Season 18. That's true…to an extent. The reality is that a lot of the time it's not entropy that's presented as the main theme, but rather it's more generic cousin decay. Much of E-Space was in various states of decay (including the vampire planet in…State of Decay) but this was more of an overarching aesthetic than actually hitting on the idea of entropy. But Logopolis finds a way of retroactively making the theme of all three E-Space stories entropy.
When the Master destabilizes Logopolis (he wants to take control of the planet, naturally) that's when the Monitor has to explain what Logopolis has been doing all this time. Their main work has been a desperate fight against entropy. See, without Logopolis, the universe would have succumbed to entropy long ago. Logopolis has kept entropy at bay by opening up Charged Vacuum Emboitments (CVEs) into other universes to siphon off energy from them. That CVE that the Doctor and Romana fell into back in Full Circle? That was one of them. It's a really clever way of tying the E-Space trilogy into the finale. And since Keeper of Traken was all about the Master's return and introducing Nyssa, that essentially makes Logopolis the culmination of the prior four stories of buildup.
As a concept, it's not without flaws though – well one in particular. The CVE that opened into E-Space was created by the Logopolitans to slow down entropy in our universe, but surely that means entropy would increase entropy in E-Space, causing that universe – that as a reminder is inhabited – to die more quickly (I am aware that there is a Big Finish trilogy that deals with exactly this). Isn't that pretty cruel of the Logopolitans? And how many of the other universes that the CVEs open into are populated? See when I noted the large amounts of decay occurring in E-Space, this story sort of retroactively implies that it's because of the Logopolitans. That's not even the only time the Logopolitans come across as morally dubious, although the other time at least feels intentional.
As mentioned before, we find out about the whole entropy thing because the Master starts messing with the Logopolitans, thus nearly causing the destruction of the entire universe via entropy. While technically appearing last story, this is the first time we really get a look at Anthony Ainley's version of the Master. I've never been a fan. Anthony Ainley will be appearing as The Master on and off for the remainder of the Classic Series' run and his performance does settle down somewhat by the end of the show, but I never really could get into his take on the character. It comes off as Roger Delgado with all the subtlety taken away. Delgado's Master was never the deepest character (well, maybe once or twice), but Delgado was always able to imbue him with a sense of restrained menace. Ainley just sort of attacks every line with pure malice in a way that just does not work for me.
Mind you, this is kind of what John Nathan-Turner wanted. The producer had intended for the new Master to be more like Delgado's Master than the decayed version seen in the last story and The Deadly Assassin but more malevolent and less humorous than Delgado's version. It's just that doing that really does take away from what made Delgado's Master work in the first place. The restraint, the "gentleman villain" persona was so captivating, and now we've absolutely lost that. It's not to say that there's no other way to make the Master work but this is just a poor man's Delgado.
And that's not the only odd choice made with the Master in this story. The Master's face is kept out of sight for most of the first two episodes of the story. This was done, apparently, to make it seem plausible that the Watcher was in fact the Master. Now the restraint shown in keeping the villain limited to a few offscreen laughs for the majority of the first two episodes does create some buildup. But…we saw the Master's new face at the end of the last story. And under different circumstances maybe you could argue that not everyone watching Logopolis necessarily saw Keeper, but if you were trying to build in a twist for those who hadn't watched the prior story, perhaps Logopolis shouldn't have been so much of a direct sequel to the Keeper.
Which isn't to say that Logopolis gets nothing to due with the Master right. In fact, the Master's actual plan is a well-conceived plot. Actually, this story largely takes the same the same basic plot structure as many of the 3rd Doctor era stories featuring the Master. The Master comes up with a plan for conquest, but his arrogance causes him to overlook how it would go wrong. Ultimately, the Master and the Doctor have to work together to stop the threat that the Master has accidentally unleashed. There are two things that make this different from the 3rd Doctor stories of this ilk (eg Terror of the Autons). First, in most of those 3rd Doctor stories, it was some alien menace that the Master had allied himself with before it all would go wrong for him. But in this story, he just happens to fail to realize that Logopolis is the glue that's keeping the universe together. It allows him to take a central role as villain, but we still get those great scenes where the Doctor and the Master are suddenly working together.
But that's the other big change to the formula here. In the past, typically the Master has collaborated in relative good faith with the Doctor when the two are forced to work together. The Master would always make sure he had an escape route before UNIT (or whoever) could arrest him. But aside from that by the end of the story the Master would just be trying to survive the mess he'd made. But here, the Master is continuing to further his plans for universal conquest. And he nearly pulls it off. We'll talk more about the Doctor later, but suffice to say the Master has never been quite so successful in manipulating his arch-rival than in the final moments of this story. It's actually well-done, where we see the that the Master is up to something whenever the Doctor isn't looking, and the Doctor is, of course, suspicious, but it's he doesn't quite have the information to put together what the Master is actually doing. It works quite well.
And speaking of characters first introduced in the last story, Nyssa's back. Apparently brought to Logopolis by the Watcher at first she just wants to find him. And then she does! Looking about twenty years younger and strangely malicious. I've seen people complain that Nyssa comes off looking stupid here. Personally I can buy that, desperate to find her father, she just accepts that he's been de-aged. At bare minimum her trust in the man who looks like a younger version of her father is more excusable than Kassia's trust in the Melkur last story – the fact that both turn out to be the Master notwithstanding. She also gets a really good moment in episode 4, where she realizes that the Master has, in order, killed her step-mother, her father and then destroyed her world, "blotted out forever". Good acting from Sarah Sutton and a genuinely moving scene. But Nyssa's involvement in this story feels a lot more perfunctory than her fairly strong debut. While normally I wouldn't necessarily mind. Logopolis has a lot on its plate after all, and after giving the character a strong debut we can theoretically afford Nyssa taking a more secondary role in this story. But, considering this is actually the story that establishes Nyssa as a companion, it would be nice if she had a little more to do.
Then again, a lot of Bidmead's time was clearly spent trying to establish Tegan. Here we're a lot more successful. Tegan instantly works in this story. The basic idea of the character was a loudmouth Australian (as to why it was decided that new companion should be Australian, see the "Stray Observations" section) whose shouty demeanor was used to cover up her insecurities. We see this playing out nicely through episode 1. Tegan is a flight attendant, or at least about to become one, apparently visiting England and her Aunt before taking her first job starting at Heathrow. We see her insist on taking care of her aunt's car when it breaks down herself – she doesn't trust mechanics and, as she puts it, "It's the 1980s Aunt Vanessa. No knight errants."
Eventually, Tegan accidentally wanders onto the TARDIS out of mixture of curiosity and confusion and gets lost in its corridors – and if Logopolis ever does feel like it's just marking time, it's in these scenes. Tegan does discover the Master's TARDIS within the Doctor's but nothing really comes of that. Once she gets involved in the action properly though, Tegan does something she'll be doing a lot over the course of the next season – complaining to the Doctor. It does work, and to her credit in other moments she shows a degree of interest and curiosity, in spite of being annoyed. And one scene in particular stands out. When she sees how the Logopolitans work she pretty much immediately takes issue with it, telling the Monitor to his face that it looks like a sweatshop. This sets up a pretty interesting discussion between the two, though it's sadly never really resolved. On the whole, while not the best companion introduction of the 4th Doctor era (it's really hard to beat either The Face of Evil or Ribos Operation) it's a strong one all the same.
I should quickly touch on Adric here, although he doesn't do much. In the first episode, when it's just him and the Doctor he does surprisingly little. Later on, he seems quite pleased to see Nyssa again, the first signs of him having a bit of a crush on the Trakenite princess. He takes the most intellectual interest of our characters in the Logopolitan mathematics, and in particular in block transfer computation, something that will pay off next story. Otherwise he's kind of in the background for much of this. This will be a recurring problem for much of the 5th Doctor era, where having 3 companions will force one into the background.
And then, there's the Doctor. I've often remarked that Tom Baker can, by this point, pull off a compelling performance as the Doctor in his sleep. So the question, I suppose, is, does he wake up for this, his final story? Eh…sometimes. Again, Baker's never bad in this story, because he's just not capable of that at this point, and he's definitely more lively than he was in some earlier stories (presumably no longer feeling ill helps out a lot in that department), but he's had way better performances earlier the 4th Doctor era. In spite of the fact that it was ultimately his decision, Tom Baker was not happy to be leaving Doctor Who, and apparently made life difficult for everyone on set as a result (which is not particularly out of character). According to himself, Baker was not taking direction, Janet Fielding recalls him being angry at everyone, and John Nathan-Turner remembers that after he filmed his final scene, Baker simply left without a word.
As for the Doctor's actual characterization in his final story, there are a few moments worth highlighting. When the Logopolitan formulas for fixing the chameleon circuit are inputted into the TARDIS, the Doctor insists on his companions remaining outside the TARDIS. Given that the Master corrupted the calculations, this turns out to be a good thing, but it does raise the question of why the Doctor thought something might go wrong. I think that, given the presence of the Watcher, we can assume the Doctor knew his regeneration was coming soon, and didn't want to take any unnecessary risks.
Also we see the return of some of the 4th Doctor's most notable characteristics. The first, and something I've talked about a lot, is his fallibility. When the Doctor realizes that the Master is still alive after the events on Traken, he naturally assumes that the Master is after him. But this turns out to be wrong, and a pretty grave error. As the Doctor puts it, "And I was vain enough to think it was me he was after." As for the other, it's the 4th Doctor's more mercurial nature. To some extent in the latter half of the 4th Doctor era, he's become a cuddlier version of himself. But as he makes a deal with the Master, his companion object, only for the Doctor to run them each down. Pointing out how none of them were invited to travel with him. This actually serves as the perfect set up for each of them to provide some crucial help the Doctor in the final scenes of the story.
And of course, there's the regeneration. And with it…we have to talk about the Watcher. In principle, this is fine. Sure it's different from any other regeneration we've seen to this point, but there's not a set way for these things to go. And it isn't entirely unprecedented. After all, the Abbot regenerated into Cho-Je who was just a mental projection of the Abbot back in Planet of the Spiders. This ends up working a little differently – Tom Baker doesn't finish his regeneration as a creepy man with entirely white skin – but the idea feels similar enough that, while probably accidental, the parallel still holds up. The Watcher being more ethereal than Cho-Je can be put down to the Doctor's lack of control over his regenerations when compared to Time Lords – as seen with Romana's regeneration back in Destiny of the Daleks. And, you know, it's all fiction at the end of the day. As long as it's possible for the audience to follow what's going on, you can get away with a lot.
My issue is that everything feels kind of underexplained. Hell, we don't even really explain what regeneration is, and sure anyone watching knows that there have been multiple Doctors, but it still feels like the sort of thing that someone, maybe Adric who has been traveling with the Doctor for a bit, could explain. And for that matter, the one line of explanation we do get is baffling for it's own reasons. "He [The Watcher] was the Doctor all along" says Nyssa, knowing this…somehow. Sure, she's right, but that it's Nyssa saying this, who knows basically nothing about the Doctor or Time Lords just doesn't track. Her only experience with Time Lords changing bodies is the Master taking over her father's body, something which she only found out about later. And that gets to my main problem with this regeneration – it all feels very ad hoc.
Which isn't to say there's nothing good about it. The Doctor seeing hallucinations, first of former villains as he's about to fall to his (temporary) death and then of all his old companions works really well. It's the first instance of this, and it's something that works well enough that we'll see it get repeated a couple of times. And I do think his last line, as aggravating as how the whole regeneration is handled, "It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for", is a good line. And that ending shot of Peter Davison as the Doctor smiling then sitting up works really well.
On a technical level, this story is a strong one. The Logopolitans initially look just like humans but have these enlarged backs of their skulls, presumably meant to emphasize their intelligence. Logopolis itself is a very impressive set. It's one of the few alien city sets to this point that genuinely feels like an actual location on not just a few corridors. The Watcher looks very appropriately mysterious and creepy. And the music is some of the absolute best work from this era. Paddy Kingsland, who probably should have become the show's permanent composer based on his work at this time, but sadly only ever got to work on a handful of stories from Seasons 18-21, does a remarkable job backing up the mood and style of the piece. Logopolis gets a a memorable theme that feels tinkly yet serious, the Watcher of course gets some creepy music, the Master gets a sinister sting for a lot of his actions, and so on. The story really is fun to just listen to for its music.
And that's a solid note to end on, because, while I do have some very major complaints, I do like Logopolis. There's a pacing issue early on, probably too many moving parts and that regeneration is mishandled, but once it gets going it's genuinely engrossing stuff. Logopolis is an inherently interesting setting, while I take some issues with how the Master is portrayed, I do like the effect he has on the plot, and the foreboding atmosphere is played perfectly. And hell, even in that first half, Tegan gets a solid enough intro. A pretty good sendoff to the 4th Doctor on the whole, though not without reservations.

Stray Observations

• This was Christopher H. Bidmead's final story as Script Editor, having grown frustrated with a job he felt he wasn't getting enough credit for, and having dealt with a very rough shoot for Warriors' Gate. He would be replaced by, essentially, both Eric Seward and Antony Root who would split script editing duties for Season 19. Root would leave the show after Season 19, while Seward would stick around until Season 23.
• Like Douglas Adams in Season 18, Christopher Bidemad wrote the finale for the season he script edited. Like Adams before him, he didn't particularly want to, but couldn't find a writer to do the story in time.
• WriteScript Editor Chrisopher H. Bidmead was a computer enthusiast (at a time when that was still somewhat rare) and the ideas behind Logopolis drew heavily from his interest in computers.
• Tegan was created after the production team was unable to get Louise Jameson (Leela) or Elizabeth Sladen (Sarah Jane) to return to the show. There were other motivations though. Specifically, the BBC's Head of Serials Graeme MacDonald was trying to get additional funding from the Australian government. This came somewhat close to happening even before Tegan was proposed as character, but the BBC and ABC (Australia's equivalent to the BBC) couldn't come together on filming dates for Doctor Who in Australia for Season 19. Tegan was then created to make the show more appealing to the Australian viewers and ABC. Ultimately the plan failed, and the BBC and ABC were never able to come together on a production deal.
• Jovanka was not supposed to be Tegan's last name, but was rather suggested as an alternate name for the character. However Christopher Bidmead misread a document from JNT identifying her as "Tegan (Jovanka)" to mean that her name was meant to be "Tegan Jovanka" and the name stuck.
• Janet Fielding probably shouldn't have been cast as Tegan Jovanka as she lied to the production team twice. JNT wanted an Australian actor for the part and Fielding was recommended to him as being ideal for the part of, as it was described, "bossy Australian". Fielding's first lie was about her age, claiming to be three years younger than she actually was. Her second lie came about because there was concern that Fielding was too short to play someone who was supposed to be a flight attendant. Fielding told the production team that in Australia height requirements for flight attendants were shorter than in the UK because Australians were shorter. Of course that wasn't true, and I'm kind of shocked that JNT believed her.
• Amusingly, Tom Baker was once asked why he left Doctor Who and replied that he was pushed off…by Anthony Ainley.
• The first episode starts with a policeman making a call on an actual Police Telephone Box, and I think it's pretty funny that it's kind of a twist that we can show one of these things and it's not actually a time machine in disguise.
• After that the Master's TARDIS lands in the exact spot occupied by said police box, disguised, naturally, as a police box.
• The Doctor refers to Earth as his "home away from home".
• The Doctor says he left with the TARDIS before its "chameleon conversion" was completed because there were "other pressing reasons at the time". How wonderfully vague!
• Episode 1 has the Doctor making a serious attempt at fixing the chameleon circuit, pretty much the only time the idea is seriously considered on the show.
• It's much better done here, but I appreciate the parallel where in last story Nyssa's stepmother was fooled by the Master and given a piece of jewelry (a necklace in that case) to ensure her obedience, and in this story the same thing happens to Nyssa (only it's a bracelet).
• In episode 4 the Doctor lays his scarf across a narrow walkway so that it acts as a tripwire for the Master, who dutifully trips on it. His scarf is long enough that, even though he's standing a good 4 feet away from the "tripwire" portion of the scarf, he's still wearing the rest of the thing.
• In episode 4, as he's hanging by an electrical cable, the Doctor sees images of his enemies threatening him. The obvious suspects are all there, the Decayed Master, a Dalek, a Cyberman, the Black Guardian, and a Sontaran but also some less obvious choices. A Zygon from Terror of the Zygons (bear in mind the Zygons wouldn't have their second appearance on the show for over 30 years) and the Captain from The Pirate Planet are certainly unusual choices for this part, although both good villains in their own right.

Next Time: This was the season that Tom Baker finally left the show. And it felt like the show was leaving him behind, even as he stuck around for one more season.

My son plays for a team in Seattle. There's a lot of veteran Ultimate players here, hence we have coaches that used to (or do) play in clubs and leagues. It's fun to chat with them about the sport as usually when it's practice or game day they're busy and I try to let them do their thing.
There was a party yesterday and I got to talking to the coaches. Here's some thoughts I shared and heard.
(There's some coaches with no ultimate background of course, but it takes people with organizational skills to manage rosters and scheduling, etc.)
Developmentally 3-7th grade, there's a huge range of body types, maturity, and skill levels.
In 3rd grade, you're happy if they can throw the disc and catch it. I know, it seems easy but the disc is heavy.
In 4th grade, there's usually a group of girls who are new, and don't really get along with the boys who can be a bit bossy and hog the disc. In the particular, during scrimmage, girls on the sideline may wander off in the practice area and make fairy circles or chat.
During games, some of the team members make my son upset as they seem kind of non-responsive, e.g. not watching the disc. I try to point out that in sports, there's a lot going on and it's awfully confusing especially if you have the disc in hand.
Anyway, training for skills is easy compared to keeping kids interested. As well as minimizing the infighting as well. All the coaches seem pretty patient, considering that coaching can also include babysitting, unfortunately.
One thing that was pointed out was optimizing queue length. For a lot of drills, you want to keep kids from waiting too long in line to throw or catch. The coaches were suggesting they found 4-6 players to be optimal.
I did ask about Spirit of the Game and how it's being taught. It's unfortunately not talked about as much. One practice, one hour a week means more focus on skills. And just knowing the rules is important. More important, the coaches said, was to teach so that the players enjoy the game.

So konting intro lang about me (F23), I'm a fresh grad & last year lang nakapasa ng boards at nag-apply agad sa isang malaking hospital dito sa Alabang, at natanggap din naman agad thankfully. Btw, medical allied health po ako & I lived with my partner sa isang condo(M30)
Ayun nga, first Month ko sa work, okay pa naman ako. Smooth lang yung flow ng work, no stressors and such. Kaso may naririnig na ako na isang entitled na senior daw namin na hilig magbida bida na feeling manager daw pero di sinabi sakin kung sino. Mahahalata ko naman na daw according sa mga naging close ko na seniors ko. I will name her Atti (F25) (Kase attitude siya haha) Nakaleave pala si Atti that time kaya di ko pa nameet at nung nagkaduty na nga kami, aba oo nga tama yung nagsabi na ganon yung ugali niya. Pero since newbie ako sa work, binalewala ko lang yun kasi akala ko nga normal lang na may ganon. Tapos gulat nalang ako nung kinausap niya ako na akala mo ang tagal na naming magkakilala tas tanong na ng tanong pati private na info tinanong, ako naman si shunga sagot ng sagot kasi nga senior ko siya parang wala akong choice kundi sagutin lahat ng tanong niya. Kumbaga nahot-seat ako ng wala sa oras ganon. Pati kung ilan atm cards ko at kung ano CC ko. At madami dami pa like san ko daw binili phone ko, ano insurance ko, anong brands daw mga bags ko at magkano. Like hindi pa nga kami magkakilala ng isang taon ganon na agad?
Tapos nung magkaduty na naman kami, eto talaga yung pinaka ayokong tanong niya, sabi ba naman sakin "Nagsheshare ka ba ng bills niyo?" like wtf naoffend talaga ako dun kasi bat siya magtatanong ng ganon diba? Anong karapatan niya magtanong? Hindi ako nakasagot ng few seconds, pero sinabi ko naman na yes since may work ako & ipon din from my part time dati during pandemic. So after non, medyo naOff na ako sa kanya.
Tas sa mga sumunod pang araw, siya yung kaendorse ko, outgoing na ko non, and since madaming patient that day, hindi ko na navisit yung VIP patient na nasa ibang floor at nakalimutan ko na nga. So habang kumakain ako sa pantry bago umuwi, pumunta siya sakin ng nagdadabog, sabi niya "Hindi mo man lang binisita yung VIP pt? VIP yun!" ako namam todo sorry kasi andami talaga patient that day di ko talaga mapagsabay, and alam ko binibisita naman yung VIP patient ng ibang nurses, midwives, etc. Tapos siya, umalis ng nagdadabog pa din as in kulang nalang masira yung locker tsaka door eh 😅
Tapos eto pinakamatindi, yung close kong senior may alitan pala sila dati ni Atti at super close sila. Hindi ko na ididisclose kung anong nangyari sakanila, masyadong mahaba e 😆 So eto nga, yung mga close kong mga seniors inaya ako kumain sa labas syempre oo ako since nag-aya naman sila. Ang hindi ko lang inexpect is nagalit si Atti sakin kasi sumama ako sa kanila kumain sa labas.
Pano ko nasabi? Kasi after nun paglabas namin, lagi na siyang nagdadabog sakin. Pag lumalapit palang ako, iirap na siya. Laging pabalang/pasigaw sumagot if may tanong ako regarding sa work. Utos doon, utos dito na hindi naman kailangan dapat kasi alam ko naman na ginagawa ko. Ako naman hindi ko gets kong bat ganon. Ni ayoko nga sana makisali sa gulo nila, kumbaga neutral lang sana ako.
So ang problema ko, parang naiipit ako. Like wala akong regrets na sumama sa mga close kong seniors kasi mabait naman sila sakin, and no issues. Yun lang kay Atti, pag magkaduty kami, kahit isang patient lang yun sobra sobra na akong natotoxic dahil sa kanya. Super drained ako lagi pag umuuwi.
Nagtataka na nga din yung partner ko at balak na din ako pagresign'n since di rin ako makatulog kakaisip kong ano nagawa kong mali kay Atti. Sabi niya di ko naman daw kailangan magwork at magtiis sa ugali ni Atti (may land investment pala ako sa province namin skl, yung pinapaupa sa Farmers) kasi biglang payat din talaga ako simula nung incident na yun at naglalagas hair ko kakaisip as in.
Alam kong maliit na bagay lang yun sa iba, pero kasi first time ko maexperience yung ganon since ok naman yung environment ko sa probinsya dati. Lumaki din ako na hindi nasisigawan ng kahit sino even my friends. And hindi rin alam ng parents ko na may nangyayaring ganto sakin dito
Masyado ba akong sensitive? Hahaha pero kasi yung katawan ko na nagsasabi eh. So just wanna let this off my chest na din 😮‍💨
Additional Info lang: Madami pala may ayaw sa kanya talaga na kawork namin kasi bossy siya, naninigaw ng walang dahilan, stalker, social climber daw, nagi-invade ng privacy like pag nakaUnlock daw phone mo, magbabasa sa messenger. According sa mga close kong seniors and yung mga bago like me since naexperience din nila bagsik ni Atti.

Hi folks,
So few days ago, I just remembered the end of Twilight Princess really hard, at the point I had the same gut wrenching feeling that 15 years before when I finished this game for the first time. So I think about it, and want to share with you a point of view about the end a sequel of Twilight Princess, and how Four Sword Adventures, Ocarina of Time, and precise words of Midna can bring us "evidences" that Link eventually managed to join Midna.
This Journey was amazing, the relationship between Link and Midna is one, if not the best developed in the entire saga. I love how she starts by being sassy, bossy, self-centered, then step by step become closer to Link, being more and more concerned, careful, and teasing more than rude. All this punctuated by truly complicit moments, with some gazing games between them, soft caress on the cheek and all. Until the end where Midna reveals her true form to Link, being so self-confident she teasing Link more frankly with her "Am I so beautiful you have no words left ?", and Link who start having a different look at her (and a jaw breaked). She's no longer the funny imp, she's now the beautiful Princess of the Twilight (I mean look at his blissful smile, then tell me you smile to a friend like this).
Anyway, we all know what happened after, Midna shattered the Mirror leaving them separated "forver"... But... these unspoken feelings, then this mirror breaks sound so sudden. I mean this isn't a street corner flirtation from someone you're probably never going to see again. We're talking about two people who spent entire weeks literally glued to each other, cheating death and having crazy adventures. I can't bring myself to say that the farewells shown during the credits could be enough for anyone going through such a situation. Besides, can we speak of farewells? Midna does not use this term for Link. She says "see you".
Part I :
That's my first point. Why Midna lose a tear for Link ? And why she didn't tell him explicitly goodbye forever ? Even if we talk about royal duties, her way of thinking "darkness and light cannot mix", she has no sentimental reason to get attached to him and leave a door open if she is certain to completely cut ties with him by breaking the Mirror. My guess is : by just saying "See you" and telling him nothing more, she secretly hopes for Link to comeback to her. But she's not blind. She knows that Ilia also had gazes on Link, and Link is still an inhabitant of Hyrule, so she cannot forces him to go with her.
And this would match to her elusive attitude she takes when she is in control of the situation: if you want me, come and get me (in all honesty, eh ! Although...). In the same way that after breaking her chain, she teased Link to search and get out of the cell on his own to join her behind the grate while she could pass through the same grate, she go in her world through a grate Link cannot pass in the same way as her. It's entirely possible that she expects Link to find another way to come to the Twilight if that's he really want. And knowing his determination and his courage, she has credible hopes for his success. After all, Midna carries a part of Light within her, just as Link carries a part of Darkness within him. As she stands in Hyrule, he can stands in Twilight.
But in that case why Midna would break the Mirror ? Well even though Midna preaches for non-adherence between the two worlds, she concedes that the two worlds cannot exist without each other. And knowing the nature of both worlds, how parallel they're and that they're both designed by the Goddesses, she is not stupid to the point of believing that a single mirror in front of a monolith is the only bridge between the two worlds. She knows that there are other portals, and that there always will be, because Darkness and Light are not like oil and water. They are not two sides of the same coin, they are entangled together to form a single coin.
No, Midna breaks a specific Mirror. She breaks the Cursed Mirror in the Arbiter's Grounds. She breaks the Mirror that was a symbol of crimes, and darker past. And this mirror is the only one known in Hyrule, not the Only One existing...
Part II :
So at this point, we analyze Midna's actions, now what about Link ? Why would he want to go looking to Midna ? She actually mirror-zoned him in the hardest way. Well, it may not have escaped your notice, but this Link has a mentor. And not just anyone, since it is the Hero of Time. I.E. the young Link from Ocarina of Time. And what did this Link at the end of OoT ? He went looking for Navi, his traveling companion. The manga more or less confirms that after TP, Link go join Golden Wolf, probably to master his training. But the Hero of Time is dead. And all along the game it feels like he had some regrets in his life. He must have realized the strong bond that united Link and Midna, and I am convinced that he let Link understand that if he wanted to find Midna, he should not hesitate, otherwise he would have regrets. And Link, even if he don't speak, know that "See you" does not mean "goodbye forever".
Another thing with that game is that Link is not the link, and Zelda is not the princess. Here, Midna is the princess, and Zelda is the link between the princess and her faith. Link knows what a Twilight Mirror looks like, and Zelda knows a lot about Religion and Myths. As Ganondorf, and so the Triforce, is no more, she could easily let Link going to Twilight Realm. She knows only Link and her can go through, and even if she respects Midna decision, she should be more glad to have kind of cooperation between Light and Twilight. We can imagine they do search to find another way to join the Twilights, and eventually find it : a second mirror, the Dark Mirror.
Part III :
In Four Sword Adventures, Darkness invade Hyrule because of a magical artifact : the Dark Mirror, which is hidden deep within a Temple. The Dark Mirror has the ability to materialize the dark side of the person who lookt at it. But don't you have a feeling of déjà vu ? Yeah that fckn screamer of Yeta becoming Blizzeta. Have you notice any ressemblance between Yeta face and Dark Link faces ? The fact their skin is dark almost black, and their eyes crimson red. It would be a big coincidence that two mirrors, both pointing towards "darkness", had the same effects on people, right? Even though Hyrule Warriors is not canon, Midna is said to use FSA's Dark Mirror to launch her attacks, not TP's Mirror. So what if, in front of a monolith, this Dark Mirror could be a gate to Twilight Realm ? "OK but maybe someone else find out this mirror between TP and FSA" well, as we said previously, the Mirror of the Arbiter's Grounds is the only one KNOWN from all Hyrule. Apart TP Zelda and TP Link, who in the world could have the idea to look at a mirror like this ? And why a mirror like this, unknown from everyone during TP could be in the center of a Temple of Darkness ? My guess is TP Link, old and tired, didn't take time to hide this item, leaving it more in evidence. Eventually some cultists/dark tribes, over the centuries, sacralized the mirror to the point a Temple was built around it to hide it, leading to the events of FSA.
Conclusion :
LONG STORY SHORT... My final theory/perception of the Twilight Princess sequels is : Link, disappointed to see his friend (or more?) leave, decides to return to train with the Hero of Time. The latter, already tested by Navi's departure, pushed him to find by all means the woman who must logically haunt his thoughts. Helped by Zelda who also did not want a break between the two worlds, they ended up finding a mirror that can lead to the Twilight Realm. Unaffected by the demonic effects of these mirrors thanks to the Triforce, they used it to travel to the Twilight Realm, and Link goes to find Midna. Midna who, probably wishing to abruptly cut off their relationship to avoid suffering heartbreak, internally hoped that Link would find a way to return to her if he felt like it, despite the apparent total break between their two worlds . TP Link and Midna were reunited again, to everyone's happiness. What they did together, whether it was drinking pints or making babies (note that the two are not incompatible as long as they are done in that order), I leave to everyone's interpretation. Years and years later, this same Mirror, left in evidence for the world such as Cursed Mirror, lead to Four Sword Adventures events.

TL;DR - whenever people boss me around i.e. disregard things in private life or work, my schedule / run plan gets distrubed to the extent I forget to do things. Is this normal, if so, how do I deal with it.
Long version - bossy boss at work treats me like a hole and kinda makes me less efficient than what I can do. At home, my mum is a control freak who completely disregards what I have going on and has led to me missing a lot of meetings, webinars etc due to her own OCD / issues with anxiety and arrogance. Is it normal for me to get completely thrown off by this. If so, how do people deal with this?
