2024.05.21 12:31 CaradogRhys 2023-2024 Season Review

Now that the sun has set on another season it’s time to reflect on our performance throughout and look forward to how next season could go.
TLDR; Much improved season but game management has cost us throughout. Continued strong recruitment for next season especially at Manager position.
Let’s begin with the raw stats.
We finished 10th for the second successive season but amassed our highest points total of 18 in the WSL alongside our best goal scoring season with 26 goals for and our best defensive season conceding 45 goals against. An improvement of 11 more goals scored and 3 fewer goals conceded than last season.
We finished third in our Continental Cup group losing only one game to Manchester United which ultimately cost us progression to the knockouts.
Furthermore, we reached the FA Cup semi final for the first time in our history, dominating lower league teams along the way.
Our top 5 goal scorers (in all competitions):
Rantala - 10 Cayman - 7 Petermann - 6 Tierney - 4 O’Brien/Whelan/Rose - 3
Top 5 assist providers (in all competitions):
Rantala - 7 Momiki - 5 Petermann - 4 Tierney - 4 Takarada - 3
End of season awards winners:
Player of the Season - Rantala Players player - Rantala Goal of the Season - Goodwin vs Liverpool Academy Player of the Season - Kiera Bell
Congratulations to all. Now on to the review proper.
We start with the positives. Recruitment has been great this year. The additions of Petermann, Rantala and Cayman have increased our goal scoring output and the acquisitions of Lietzig, Kop, Thibaud, Rose, Momiki and Takarada has added greater depth and quality to our squad and made us a more competitive team throughout the season.
We very rarely sat in against teams, aimed to play out from the back and press opposition back lines which served us well and earned plaudits from around the league especially early on in the campaign.
Additionally we have a very solid tandem of goalkeepers in Leitzig and Kop that have shown they can be rotated in for each other and not effect the confidence of the team in front of them which is a great bonus.
Finally, we continue to see success in our youth academy with them winning the double of the PGA Plate and County Cup as well as academy players continuing to get minutes in the senior team.
Now, unfortunately, the negatives.
Elephant in the room is the managerial situation. After Kirk’s dismissal for unprofessional conduct and Foster stepping down as interim manager with the conclusion of the season we are now searching for our fourth manager in three seasons in the WSL.
Something is very clearly not right behind the scenes when our last 2 male managers have crossed professional boundaries with players and our last permanent female manager was unceremoniously dismissed hours after a giving a pre match press conference. Questions have to be asked about how our next manager is going to be recruited, monitored and assessed by the higher ups. This inconsistency has been reflected in our on pitch performances and the players must be commended for how they have handled the off pitch turmoil.
To be optimistic, whomever the next manager shall be they need to keep pushing the progressive, attacking football we have developed under Kirk whilst making us a less porous side defensively and able to manage games better and see them out especially when we have the lead.
Which very neatly leads me to our biggest downside this campaign, our game management.
All of our 4 league victories this season came against two teams (Bristol City and Everton) half of those came in the opening two games of the season (where we were briefly top of the league 🙌🏻) and the other 2 came in three games at the end of January/beginning of February. That is a long time to go without success without it effecting not only our league standing but the morale of the team.
It has been a reverse of our previous seasons where instead of seeing us floundering at the bottom to pop up at the end of the season we have watched us have an electric start only to slowly but surely watch our league position erode away.
The story of our season was giving up leads and losing points from winning positions happening 7 times in the league. The most defining examples is being 2-0 up at halftime at home to Arsenal, being the better side only to be decimated in the second half and lose 6-2. Drawing 1-1 in stoppage time to a 10 player West Ham and both games against Brighton. First surrendering a two goal advantage in the final 10 minutes of the away fixture to draw the game and then taking the lead at home to only go 2-1 down, fight back to level the tie but lose to another goal conceded in the last 5 minutes.
Of those 7 leads and potential 21 points lost, if we win against West Ham and Brighton, that’s 9 points in our favour and we would be celebrating a much stronger finish to our season.
With regards to looking forward to next season I do feel we have very strong foundations to build upon and become even more competitive not only in the league but have strong cup runs as proven by our results in a tough Conti Cup group and our semi final appearance in the FA Cup.
As for personnel we have a squad full of internationals with at least half a season of chemistry with each other, excellent training facilities and the privilege of playing at the King Power for home league games.
Obviously we need a quality manager to lead us. I would have jumped at the chance to take on Carla Ward but she is taking time out to spend time with her family. Aside from her I am not so well versed in the women’s managerial landscape to make an educated suggestion. Maybe Melissa Phillips, formerly of Brighton who seemed to have good respect from her players and a decent track record with London City Lionesses and Brighton.
For players I would like to see another striker brought in. When Petermann isn’t available we lack a focal point up top and Siemsen hasn’t been relied upon much when fit.
Cover at full back would be a priority as well. Bott is outstanding and we can always rely on the experience of Cayman but depth is definitely an issue. Ale did a decent job towards the tail end of the season but is only on loan and Nevin has seemingly dropped down the pecking order.
Further depth in the middle with the departure of Whelan and a younger, more modern centre half (think Plumptre) to complement the guile and physicality that we have in place.
A third experienced keeper wouldn’t go amiss to cover for injury to Kop or Leitzig.
I’m genuinely excited to see how he play with a fully fit complement of wingers next year as that is where we are stacked with promise: Rantala, Rose, Cain, Goodwin, O’Brien and Momiki (on occasion) offer a truly dangerous outlet for us and pose any defender a headache.
One final note. Thank you to Whelan for her services as our club Captain for the last two seasons. She has lead by example, never kicked up a fuss not being a starter this season and always given 100% on the pitch. May she enjoy her retirement from football.
Feel free to add your own thoughts and opinions and we look forward to improving further in the off season.

2024.05.21 12:29 Practical_Primary504 I don't think I'm worthy of being loved by another person.

I grew up in a small town in Florida. I remember close to nothing about my childhood and honestly, I feel like my brain started producing memories near the 10th grade (I'm 19 and graduated now). I've been in a handful of relationships (2 long distance, 1 not) and each time I feel like I've pressured myself into saying "I love you" in pursuit of chasing some Disney channel love story fantasy. I don't really know what it means to truly love someone if I'm being honest. We usually say those words to our parents to show endearment, but I don't, or at least haven't for as long as I can remember. I don't know what it means to love someone. My family is very small (Mother, Grandmother, Sister) All of my other family members either passed or just really aren't in the picture. My grandmother isn't all there mentally anymore and my sister lives across the country and she just doesn't remember things all too well. So its really just me and my mother here. My mother isn't a person you talk to about things. The typical responses are "suck it up" "be a man" "boo hoo" or any other way to belittle what I feel or what I say. She's been like that since I was a kid. So I don't really have any connections or people to talk to since I've graduated last year. I've been stuck in this house for upwards of 5 months now, I've been filling out job applications like crazy and luckily I have a job orientation later this week. At my previous job, I met this girl. Long story short, she ended up confessing to me on her way out after her shift. When I was younger, I grew up "ugly" it wasn't until 11-12 grade when I got my growth spurt and became who I am now and it took until the end of my senior year to learn how to dress, so at school I wasn't getting any play, only after highschool was I talking to women. That was the first time a woman had confessed to me like that. I knew I was able to be found attractive and to be liked, but never loved. Eventually down the line she had said she loved me, and of course I said it back, but I didn't mean it. After she had said that, the only thing I could think is "why me?" "Why some kid from nowhere Florida". I don't even have a license, my mother was driving me to work, and this woman says she loves me? Really? I had became absorbed in thoughts of not being enough, of not being worth it. Love is one of the strongest words we hold as people, and she used it on me. I can't comprehend that. It was all I could think. I'd ask her why she loves me and she'd say "I don't know, I just feel it" which in retrospect, maybe she actually did love me, but why? Eventually I started telling myself that she was just lying to me for some external reason, and combined with the shitty dating world we live in-in 2024 it was very easy to convince myself of that. Eventually I ended things. Explaining to her that I don't know what it means to love someone and that I have to work on myself. I just. I don't know.

2024.05.21 12:26 guiltyofnothing “Ah thank you for foreignsplain it to us” Drama in /r/Barcelona as users argue over a photo of anti-tourist graffiti

The Context:

/Barcelona is the main sub for the second largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalonia. Long a tourist hotspot, much of the local economy is driven by tourism.
OOP posts a picture of graffiti in a park with the message: “Tourist: your luxury trip my daily misery.” [sic]
Users begin debating if this is a fair take, the effect of tourism on the city, and vomiting memes.
For ease of readability to a majority English-speaking audience, I’ve translated some comments from Catalan, poorly.

The Drama:

Is the graffiti expressing a selfish sentiment?
What a selfish, shitty thing to say to someone trying to live their best lives and share a bit of the magic you enjoy everyday.
Love this comment! Not all tourists are bad.
Tourism is unsustainable.
So we should all just stick to the respective cities we’re born in? What a lovely, thriving, multi-cultural society that’ll end up in /s
Not all the cities have the same problems. Responsible tourism is a thing
[Continued:]
Then why don't you vote for politicians that want to improve the situation?
Tourism tax, restrictions on how many people can visit a park/attraction per day, etc pp.
Instead you get nonstop whining on reddit. Or shared bicycles that can only be rented by Barcelona residents. Wow, good job! The tourism tax is at only 4-5€ per night in Barcelona. Compare that to Berlin where it's a whopping 7% soon (which is usually way higher than 5€).
Who did tell you who I vote for or what I do? [If you want we can talk face to face when you want clown]
Oh no, we got a badass over here. [I didn't say anything like that, of course you tourists are the problem if your head lacks intelligence...]
[It's very good to learn Catalan (good luck with what you have left to reach a decent level, I'm really telling you this with love) but don't put words in other people's mouths without knowing. There are many of us here who are fed up with the borderline situation that the city is living in and if you are a privileged person who doesn't get the slightest bit, I would at least ask you to have the decency to keep quiet when it's time to keep quiet]
[…]
No. We should stop travelling at the expense of the plane, the cities and the people's suffering. And locals should resist what makes their lives more difficult. In this case, a tourist model that hikes rents, contaminates and destroys the social fabric of the community displacing people and creating precarious jobs that provide no stability or value. Barcelona can be a great and fun place if you are staying here for a week, or if you are a remote worker that gets paid by a large firm with headquarters in Amsterdam. But that fun can be, and is, disastrous for other people. That search for sun and beach, of parties and stories uploaded to social media causes many problems for others. That's a fact. Non-sustainable tourism is what it is. Tourists and expats (high earning migrants) can be, individually, very nice and conscious folks. But the dynamics they are participating in are the cause of many problems for the city and its inhabitants.
[It's the market, friend.]
[…]
The problem isn't the singular tourist. The problem is suffocating hordes of tourists that treat your home like an amusement park or museum.
Tourism can be a real economic win for a city, but it also has externalities that can kill the very thing that made it special if not kept in check. Barcelona is a great example of this.
I say this both as someone who loves to travel and who lives in a tourist hotspot.
I mean, there is not too much you can do about it besides a ridiculous tax, and that would be a little hypocritical if you love to travel, because traveling should be accessible to the majority of people.
It makes sense to me if you defend the free market, and you put the price on your city or whatever you want to do like a libertarian, but again,it is hypocritical when we see that the political party that won the elections do not like the free market or libertarian politics.
You can't have all.
Woooosh!
That's the sound of everything going over your head
Lmao, it is the definition of being a logical thinker and not being a hypocrite.
Oh sorry, it went so over your head, that you didn't even hear the whoosh.
You're talking politics when I was talking social and economic. So, not much of a logical thinker.
But it doesn't surprise me that Barcelona would vote that way. It's called the resource curse, and by now tourism will have all but killed all other industries. So yeah, they have no choice now. Which is exactly what I was talking about in my second paragraph.
Who are the users of the sub anyway?
Because 90% of the people answering are expats. They don't fucking care about locals, they mostly despise or ignore them. Most of them live in their own English ghettos, not even bothering about anything else that themselves.
Biggest load of horseshit I’ve read all day.
You live in fantasy land and it’s really, really sad to see. I hope you open your eyes one day.
[How is your Catalan?]
[my Catalan is good. not that it matters]
Nobody “despises” Catalans. Every single person I know that has moved here is desperate to get involved with local culture, history and activities. They try their hardest to learn the language. They try their hardest to make more catalan friends.
Classic Reddit perpetual victim.
Is Barcelona dying?
Barcelona is dying. Soon it will be an empty city, a shiny shell of what had once been alive and authentic. The locals can't face the rent prices, the gentrified shops and bars, we are forced to leave our neighborhoods and give up decent housing.
Looking at rent availability and prices - it is very far from dying.
Are you looking at the prices as a foreigner or as a local? Because wages in Spain for most of us are quite poor, so yes, it's really difficult to find decent housing with those prices
And yet people don't do anything like moving away meaning situation is still not that bad.
When things like that happened in my country - a lot of people emigrated for better work and things normalised at home too.
Economy has a way of fixing itself. No workers to serve tourists - higher wages or fewer tourists.
It will only be expats and tourists here and the 10% rich Catalans in the end. Look at the most common local salary from locals in the city.
You're so close to understanding the root of the issue. Yet so far...
Yeah, it's all the fault of the 10% of evil Catalans. OK. Nobody else is responsable or can do anything.
[Continued:]
Think a little bit harder. You can do it.
[You're enlightening, kid.]
I give you the answer because you're obviously struggling. It's the wages. Your salary is shit, and there's no excuse for that because you live in a rich region, of a rich country, part of a rich continent.
And once again, one of the greatest success of those profiteering is to turn people like you into the useful idiots by pointing the finger to people from your own social class: in this case, the Ryanair flying middle to low income tourists (yeah, far from luxury holidays), who are the majority of the people visiting this city. And with whom you have much more in common than you realize.
While prices have increased, as it did everywhere around the globe, Barcelona remains a cheap city. And that's exactly the reason why it is such a popular destination across the spectrum of tourists, and especially with low income ones.
So, if you really want to change something, start asking yourself why wages are so low in such a rich region. And at an individual level, negotiate (like I did) an income worth your efforts. And if it's still not enough, keep in mind that 80% of the properties are owned by locals.
You don't know shit about how I fight, or any people like me for a more fair society. Probably way more than you. But this post is about overtourism and touristification. I can care about multiple things and fight multiple fights.
Then this conversation is over, you don't have the intellectual bandwidth to understand something as simple as how low wages are linked to the problem you blame "the tourists" for. Also, if me, an immigrant from a poor Caribbean country, is able to live significantly better than you in a place where I arrived few years ago without speaking the language, ask yourself the right questions about your fighting abilities, and probably your life choices.
[Continued:]
Lol you know shit about who I am, my life choices, or the money I earn. Your comment is funny.
I'm a socialist. I care about my family and friends, about people who had less oportunities than me. I despise people who only think about themselves, or fight only for themselves. The last part of your comment says a lot about you. Bye.
Sure, keep telling yourself that you're a socialist while defending a xenophobic agenda benefiting the ruling class. Like I said, useful idiots like you are what's keeping the system on its feet. Great work 👍
A user is crowned king:
When your own city becomes overcrowded all the time and you can’t afford to live in the center because it’s so expensive due to tourist/expats money inflating the market, it doesn’t matter how much money “the city” makes from tourism, your individual life is affected very negatively and you live worst off than with less tourism. I’m not even a local, but this is not hard to understand.
can’t really blame tourists for systemic issues
Erm, says who, you, the king?
If local wages are lower than abroad (not ideal but would be ok in its own, it’s still better than my own country) but due to how attractive the weather and culture is, people from other countries with much higher wages flock here and destroy the market, either by paying much higher (making it impossible for locals) or buying properties to rent (know many who do this, buy something, live in it 3 months of the year, and rent to other expats the rest of the year) - who’s fault is? The locals? lol
then fight for wages, not tourists.
This is why the locals hate you lol
[Continued:]
This is why I don't care bro.
What are you trying to prove? I’m not even a local, I just have more than a brain cell and understand why the locals blame the tourists, which is what was being discussed.
Nothing mate, I just really don't care who hates me. That is my day everyday at 11 am.
You care enough to have made now 3 comments that are totally irrelevant to what was being discussed.
“I don’t care. I swear. I promise! Let me show you that I don’t care. I really don’t care I swear”.
[…]
People working in tourism related jobs mostly work part-time, have no indefinido contracts and earn minimum wage. You can google that.
Some people are getting rich by tourism, most people are just surviving in it.
But of course 'expats' and tourists who represent most of the sub members and not local or immigrant workers are going to upvote your out of touch comment.
Some of these people need it to survive though
Not the Airbnb owners obviously
I have an Airbnb and I need it to survive.
Get a job.
What is misery?
Misery is that your old neighborhood is full of souvenir shops and none of your friends even live there anymore.
Shut the fuck up, Spain has one of the highest living standards in the world. You’re mad because other people want to visit and have a bit of it in their shitty lives? Spain has it so damn good, the thing youre complaining about is literally a problem around the entire developed world and isn’t necessarily any worse or unique to Barcelona. Stop being so damn dramatic and accept that your ‘misery’ is just you disliking seeing foreigners happy.
If you can afford spending hundreds of euros in partying and Airbnbs, why is their life so shitty? Leave your jobs and come work here as a server, try to rent anything with the minimum salary. Barcelona can be a paradise, but the tourist model is making it a hell for the majority.
Yeah, the market is being a problem for everyone everywhere. Now, people in Barcelona have to fight against the effects of the market in the city. As everybody should do in their home cities. A Barcelona for those who build their lives there, not for those who wish to consume and toss it.
Something tells me, me, a guiri, leaving my job and working in Barcelona makes Catalans even more mad than if I were just visiting.
And that something is in the room, here with us?
in fact if you live and work in Catalonia you are a Catalan. so this comment makes 0 sense at all.
Who’s to blame anyway?
Classic losers playing the victim card. Without tourism beautiful Barcelona's economy would be destroyed. But please keep blaming your shortcomings on others.
Barcelona was beautiful before tourism.
If you live in Barcelona, enjoy it. It is and will always be beautiful, and if you truly believe otherwise you are wasting the time you have in one of the world’s greatest cities. Times are tough, yes, but remember that people are also having tough times in the middle of nowhere, without any cultural outlets or ability to find likeminded people. Real estate greed is running rampant the world over, and hopefully it will not last.
Be a part of the solution, never travel again please. Just spend the rest of your life in Barcelona like a hermit. Otherwise you're a fucking hypocrite.
Hypocrite is thinking that tourism is good for the locals.
Ok great. Then be a part of the solution and never travel again. It hurts the locals. Been to London? Been to Berlin? Been to Italy? Greece? Cairo? Are you going to stop travelling and seeing the world? Everyone here knows perfectly well that you won't. It's just childish whining

2024.05.21 12:26 Former-Astronaut-841 AITA: I called my ex husband handsome

Yesterday on FB memories, a picture of my ex husband and I came up. We were young in the picture, and as someone who doesn’t look good in pictures I was admiring how good I looked in this one. I took a screenshot and sent to my daughter.
I asked her if it was weird seeing her dad and I together. He and I have been divorced for 8 years, and I’ve been remarried to 2nd husband for 4 years. Anyway, she said yes.. it is weird.
I then said “your dad was once very handsome, which is why I fell for him”.. which is true. I literally prayed for a hot husband at the time, not knowing there’s much much more to marriage and love than the superficial. I then mentioned myself, and how different I look in the picture.
We went on to talk about him for a little bit. I started asking questions about how he looks now. This was fueled by recently watching TikTok’s about alcohol cirrhosis, and how people’s stomachs swell up when they have it. My ex is/was an alcoholic.. so my questions about his current physique were trying to see if he has cirrhosis or not. If he was still drinking heavily or not. I asked about his swollen belly, etc.
My daughter gave me long answers. Told me more than whether his belly is swollen or not. I replied with 1 word answers. I just wanted to know if he has a swollen belly.
Anyway, the conversation ended. Went to bed.
But then my current husband somehow saw our text conversation. I don’t know if my daughter showed him or he looked thru her phone or mine. But he saw the texts, came to bed, and said a snarky comment like “he was so handsome” in a mocking way. I tried to explain but he cut me off, put in ear plugs and went to sleep.
This morning he wakes me up early by shouting into the bedroom “I want a divorce”. Then called me a lying ass slut.
I can see how the conversation w my daughter looks like I’m reminiscing and maybe even missing my ex but that’s not the case at all. He won’t listen to my explanation.. and I definitely didn’t deserve to be called a lying slut. I lie.
AITA for having that conversation with my daughter?

2024.05.21 12:26 aine0102 my parents are controlling

19,f never went out with friends. not that im not an outspoken or friendly person, got a pretty good friend circle extremely talented supportive and hardworking people. they go out all the time and dont have to constantly update their parents on slightest minute plan changes.
first time getting along with people and them instanly making plans of going out was weird but in a jealous weird and questioning. it was later i figured their parents do not ask every detail of their day, who they met, what they had, why were they 5 min late. they dont pick and drop them everywhere they have schedules. and it was after a week or hanging out that i realised, it was me living a diffent life than everyone out there. and it broke me cus that was the point i realised that in the name of protectiveness and security and ease in commutation, they just snatched my independence from me.
they provide for me and i cannot begin to thank them enough for it, pursuing a professional study and doing good at it, always supportive. but that day i sat down and got to a conclusion that if i were to upset my parents or do not do things how they want me to do, i'd lose everything. and that has happened. asked to go out with friends, note that all of my friends come from dignified background humble and kind and educated and themselves are pursuing professional studies. never asked them before so expected there wont be a problem. was in dilemma that i dont go out cuz i dont ask to go out. often picture myself as a bird in cage unaware that shes trapped unless she tries to get out. yea so access to outside without them denied. reasoned a bit on why not. they got mad and yelled and said pretty harsh things. i was in school then and it was for the teacher's birthday. we loved her dearly and she was moving out of country. i was sure they'd let me so made plans and everything cancelled last minute cried whole evening and night. that was when it started. when the bird realised she isnt in a room but a prison.
gave a couple more tries here and there. same answers. silent treatments. refused to enroll me in the course im currently pursuing initially, calling it a financial issue. and yea there were and are financial issues but hey, grasped what was going on and did everything their way. cut ties with everyone except two friends who theyve met plenty more times than others and did as they said. regular classes, not questioning them, spending time with them. enrolled and in classes after six months.
met a guy and he was good. wanted to take me on a date. i knew they wouldnt let me go. took it slow and introduced him as my friend. asked me to cut ties with him. i kinda liked him. we had good undertanding he's help me with studies and confide about his family and life in general and i thought i can date. i wanted to date him. see where it goes like every other teenager who go out on dates after classes and study and support each other. they didnt wanted me to see him or anyother guy even as a friend. deleted every guy friend of mine's contact. we still were seeing each other until i got so burnt out of the constant watch and professional studies and competitive exams also all while managing a degree. had to break ties with him for a couple while and i admittedly couldve done with proper explanation but it was a panic attack, yeah i did starting having them right after school when everything crashed down, so panic attack with all tears and snot and heavy breathing i leave him a text that i cant do this.
fast forward today. exams done. some professional practical work everyone has to take up and my father as usual would pick me up and drop me. yesterday a friend of mine suggested we buy new books and get some food after work was done which is 1:30. i thought now that im old enough, cus the last time i tried asking was 16, maybe i can go. they said yes when asked in morning. 1:45pm text comes in. where u at. when will you be back. gave a location where he'd pick me up after we're done with books things. im at metro station, shaking, holding that ticket beacuse it was all over that again. they let me go but did they? call comes in when i dont reply in 5 minutes. he asks when will i be back upto. on saying by 4, he went why books need so much time. denied that i ever mentioned lunch too. i remember saying lunch and books. couldnt argue, not used to, dont want to upset them. two of my friends waiting for the metro so we go grab lunch and spend some time for the first time in about a year since we met, and im shaking cus its so humiliating and like. this close to crying when he hung up without saying anything further and mum texts in 2 mintes asking me to come back home rn this instant. manage to apologise and run through the station, get a cab and run home in 20 min. 2:20pm. at home. i dont if im though. in my bathroom. crying shaking of embarrassment, humiliation, guilt, frustation, anger. and hunger.
also, crossed path with the guy i was seeing. he had his guitar, he used to play for me after completing studies. killed me to pass by with just a hey and by the looks of it, he was upset about it too. everything keeps falling apart everytime i accomplish one thing.
i dont know if this is how parenting is supposed to be done because none of ppl i know have such parents and controls. so its not normal but is it abusive? i question and then ignore cus the obvious answer would disrupt the peace im holding on to. the good side of them keeping me sane.
if you've taken much time to read it through. thank you. i dont have anyone to share this with and im so lonely at times like this

2024.05.21 12:25 CleanPhotograph3048 How long did your pain last?

I need an idea on how long to expect the pain following my hysterectomy.
My story: I had a total hysterectomy/cystoscopy performed 5/8 due to endometriosis that decided to attach itself to various organs it didn’t belong on. It had been about three years of bleeding nonstop (this is not exaggerated-I should have taken up stock in pads) and horrible pain that no doctor believed. I saw five different obgyns before I found one who would listen to me and stay true to her word to give me a hysterectomy. Fast forward a few months and I got my surgery. They performed a cystoscopy in hospital with the hysterectomy and cleaned out my endo while inside. I was inpatient one night in the hospital to monitor pain/bleeding control. I can’t take NSAIDs so no ibuprofen for me- I am on blood thinners for a clotting disorder and history of several DVTS/pulmonary emboli.
I went home on Percocet because the norco was not controlling my pain. I used them sparingly after the first day or so home. I am not a big pain pill person. They upset my stomach & my dad was lost to substance abuse (started with script pain meds) so I avoid them like the plague. Started having signs of infection day 2 at home. Could not get past my triage nurse to get a note to my doctor. Day 5, 3rd try, after being told to take Tylenol and/or Benadryl, I ended up in my doctors office at her request. Immediately was directly readmitted to the hospital 5 days post op hysterectomy for a nasty, fast-moving infection-I said my pain was 7/10 initially but it only got worse from here. My initial liver labs were elevated so they wouldn’t allow anything with Tylenol. What does that leave? Something called roxicodone- oxy without Tylenol essentially-which gave me sleep paralysis and no pain control whatsoever. Was put on Vancomycin for the infection which then caused a systemic allergic reaction. Was given Hydroxizine to calm that down and Benadryl cream. It did not help much. Was discharged on day 10 post op, with clindamycin to take every 6 hours for 7 days for the infection. They sent home the roxicodone which I said did not help. Went home and began taking antibiotics. Had another allergic reaction, this time a full body, horrendously itchy and burning rash. Called my primary doctor and she took me off of it immediately. She sent me in Keflex. I’m allergic to amoxicillin so this should be a party as well. I have an appointment with the surgeon in three weeks. I have an appt with infectious disease this Friday. I have an appointment with GI for my liver problems (likely caused by surgery or the allergic reaction) Tuesday. I have no pain meds I can take, not even Tylenol or ibuprofen. They told me to take Benadryl and sent in a prescription for Gabapentin and told to use the Benadryl to “knock myself out”. Gabapentin isn’t working but I’m taking it anyways because I don’t know what else to do, hoping maybe it’ll build up some tiny amount of pain control in my system somehow.
I’m not on any weird registry for pain meds issues because I usually just flat out don’t take them, ever. Even when offered them. I don’t understand how this is okay.
So -here I am -2 weeks into this mess, rawdogging this hysterectomy and subsequent infection pain. I’ve been using ice packs and heat packs to do what I can, Zofran that my primary doc sent me in for extremely bad nausea (probably due to the pain), my third round of antibiotics, Benadryl for the leftover allergy rash, and I’m thinking about asking a wrestler to knock me out with a metal chair. I’m on day 13 with no pain relief in sight. I can’t sleep. I’m miserable. Please tell me the pain is going to diminish soon. Tell me what helped you with pain. 🙏

2024.05.21 12:24 Necessary-Gate798 Jobseeker advice

A few days ago I attended a job seeker seminar where they told a group of us that they would organise and pay for upskill programmes such as obtaining a forkhoist license, class 2 drivers license etc. I was really keen on this as I want to pursue an industrial type job, even just a very entry level position to get started. Upon the 1 on 1 with a case manager I was told that due to my previous experience being in hospo that they would not organise these courses for me, and instead organised a food safety and alcohol course so that I could get another job in the hospitality industry. Has anybody had this happen to them and been able to navigate around this?

2024.05.21 12:24 JoeyHE777 There are still some strategic opportunities in the crypto market

Hey folks, My friend mentioned this sub is about passive income. We're a small quant fund in the crypto space. Our annual returns have been pretty solid so far . I figure we can keep this up for another three years before competition heats up and returns normalize. Our clients give us API access to trade crypto, and after we make profits, they send us our cut.
Not here to advertise our fund, just sharing some thoughts. I'm 35, left Alibaba in China to start my own thing, but it didn't work out and now can't go back to big tech either. I'd love to, but the job market in China is not good. Luckily, I have lots of friends who are programmers and algorithm experts, so we started a quant fund. It's keeping us afloat by using machine learning and stats to profit from the still-wild crypto market.
Even though this field has a high algorithm barrier, simple cash and carry arbitrage strategies can still yield over 15% annually. Advanced quant funds can make 50%-100%, but that requires high-performance machines and skilled algo experts.
Here are some strategies you can look into:
  1. Stablecoin Arbitrage: Trading between USDT, USDC, and FDUSD.
  2. Cash and Carry Arbitrage: Using perpetual contracts.
  3. Sell Put Options: A conservative strategy where you collect premiums.
  4. Grid Trading: Setting up a long grid can still be profitable, especially since the capital markets aren't expected to face huge risks this year.
These methods are good for beginners who can stay calm and manage their positions well.
You can find lots of videos on YouTube about these strategies. But remember, this field is for cautious and careful players. Many people get caught up in the wild swings of crypto and can't resist high-risk investments. The strategies I mentioned are relatively conservative and can yield over 15% annually. With continuous learning and research, you can achieve this consistently every year.
If you have a background in machine learning, that's a huge plus. Doing time-series data analysis in crypto is pretty similar to sales forecasting in internet companies—using past data to predict future trends. The feature engineering and strategy backtesting skills you have can be applied in the crypto space. I recommend considering a job at a crypto quant firm, or in your spare time, applying AI and machine learning to trading, or learning to write trading indicators in Pine Script.
I don't recommend jumping straight into trading because only a few people succeed at it. This is genuine advice. Instead, look for arbitrage opportunities or use models to predict prices and backtest over the long term to validate your strategies. You can use tools like QuantStats to analyze your strategies.
that is it. anyquestions you can comment😄
(i really used GPT to translate for me , thank GPT!)

2024.05.21 12:22 Morbid_Explorerrrr TTC with long cycles

Any other ladies plagued with 34-35 day cycles around here? Gah I’d kill to get each cycle over with a week sooner. I get a lil jealous seeing everyone’s positive OPKs on day 14 when I’m over here just praying to ovulate on day 20 🙃
On another fun side note, if I DONT ovulate (for the second time in a row now), I get to go to my obgyn to start all the testing to figure out what is going awry with my body. Good times! Loving it! Yeah!
I legit kind of hate this process. I miss never thinking about this, never waking up to temp or peeing on sticks daily. I wish my body would function normally each month so that I could even have hope.
Rant over. Happy Tuesday, everyone.

2024.05.21 12:22 Synthetic_Solution Fiona is insufferable (First time watcher, currently on season 8)

This is just my opinion, but I find Fiona more annoying than Debbie. I know that many people don't like Debbie, I can't blame them, she trapped Derek because she wanted a baby, not knowing the consequences it would have, she isn't a saint, but I find her tolerable than Fiona.
I liked Fiona at first in the early seasons. I use to love her and Jimmy Steve being together, but Jimmy just kept on lying and lying and stringing her along, and she deserved better. I couldn't blame her for cheating on him with Mike. That was the only exception I made. Cheating isn't cool at all, but Jimmy cheated on her before so, fair.
But then I started to dislike her when she cheated on Mike with his brother, Robbie. And it just kept getting worse.
She was also super irresponsible. Robbie gave her coke, she decided to celebrate, and then Liam nearly died because of him sniffing the coke that Fiona had laying around. And what really pisses me off is how she didn't snitch on Robbie, if she had then maybe she wouldn't have gotten into too much trouble, but no, her dumb excuse "I'm from the Southside we don't snitch!!"
She married Gus after knowing him for only a week, and then proceeded to cheat on him with Jimmy Steve when he randomly came back. (And yeah, Gus is also dumb for wanting to marry Fiona only after a week they known each other.)
And Gus forgiven her it seems, but then she later on started to ghost him and started a relationship with Sean. Didn't even bother to break up with him first. And she had the audacity to pawn his grandmother's ring. So Gus had every right to sing "The F Word." She deserved it.
I will admit, I did feel bad for her when Frank called out Sean on their wedding about his heroin addiction, Sean is a piece of a shit for that. She didn't deserve that.
But aside from that, she's just been very annoying in the seasons I'm watching. It seems that her and Ford are gonna be a thing. Again, I am a first time watcher, but if you want to spoil me on what she does next, by all means, go ahead. The show's been out for years so it's expected.

2024.05.21 12:21 SurroundAlert2469 HELP! want to find a Japanese tv series that seems like it was finished by 2014

could be spoilers if anyone wants to watch this show later on if anyone knows and gives the name of the series since one of the main things i remember is the ending but thats the only possible spoiler.
i watched this show in 2014 and it was finished because i remember the end and some important parts but i cant find it online when i search my vague details. it is a show about boxing and there is romance in it too. i hope someone knows what this show is! heres what i remember clearly.
the show starts with a nerdy skinny japanese guy running from a large overweight and masculine woman cop. cant remember the outcome of the chase though. this guy eventually goes to a boxing gym where a girl his age is at training. she has a yoiunger brother a good bit younger he seemed to be around 12 maybe and the older sister around 20. i think they lived at the gym but not sure. then there is a slow burn to an eventual romance with the nerdy guy and the gyn girl. theres a scene where they are on the roof talking. there is a rival of the nerdy guy in the show who basically is better at everything than the nerdy guy. they have a heated rivalry. i cant remember how but at the end of the show the cool rival guy gets very sick and is in the hospital where the nerd visits him and they bond and stop hating each other, each of them learned from the other and stopped the hate. this is what i remember. do u guys have any ideas??

2024.05.21 12:21 Skooma-Steve17 Is this a good time to get into the game?

I’ve been following Star Citizen for years now and have still yet to pull the trigger on it. With hearing so much negative review all the time it’s hard to want to. Yes there are die hard fans who show the positive and I look towards that too, but now with this new update it seems things are starting to head more in the right direction. I know it’s still being worked on and there will still be bugs but at this current time does anyone think this is a good time to get into the game? I have some friends that want to play too so I was probably just going to dive right in with a connie to start since I will have crew mates.

2024.05.21 12:19 Fun_Quote_9457 Hit Hard This Morning

Yeah... Just like the title says. So, two incidents I'd like to document so others can be mindful of when this occurs.
The first one took place about two weeks ago. I go to bed around 7/8 pm as I start work at 4 am. I laid down and was "put" to sleep immediately entering a dream state where I was already in a heightened state of anger. Only to be woken up enraged. The emotion I embodied in that dream state carried over into my awake state of mind within a matter of two minutes. I just laid in bed and repeatedly told them to, "fuck off," and "you're not going to get a reaction out of me."
Then last night, the same thing. Only a little different. The dream state of me being angry and anxious actually intertwined with my awake state this morning around 3:30am. While awake, I could still see the overlaying of an agitated dream version of myself wanting to flip out and scream while the voices where saying, "we're punching you in the face right now." But I said nothing until on my way to work. Then I let out a big grunty scream.
I don't wan't to scare my girlfriend and sleeping 14 month old daughter in the bed with me. It's 4:34 am now and everything is quiet. It's like they can't get to me anymore with words alone, so they run and abrasively operate within ever occurring dream sequences only to have me experience the emotion of that once dropped into it.
It was getting better for awhile. The past few weeks, I've been attempting to ignore them and move on in silence. This is either a test of some kind to see how I respond to anger or an act of disgust with me. Either way, I absolutely refuse to take medication or succumb to the temptation of relapsing. Fuck that. There's not a damn thing that anyone can do that will make ruin the life I've created with my family. They can astrally suck my nut sack. And in the end, I'm thankful. I'm thankful I'm strong enough to not respond in the moment. I'm thankful the words of others have no effect on me.

Imagine having a portable griddle that you can take on all your camping adventures, effortlessly cooking up a storm of delicious meals in the great outdoors. That's exactly what the Coleman Roadtrip Griddle XLT provides, with its easy-collapsing steel scissor legs that make for a smooth transition from storing to cooking and quick setup.
It's the ultimate companion for your camping needs, featuring a 24-inch cooking surface that heats up to 20,000 BTUs - more than enough to cater to a crowd and evenly heat your food. The smooth, rolled carbon steel griddle cooktop pre-seasoned to prevent rust offers an efficient cooking experience, making it a breeze to clean up afterwards thanks to the removable rear grease tray.
Now, while it's a fantastic piece of equipment for outdoor cooking, it does have a few drawbacks. Its weight and size might pose a challenge when trying to transport it, especially when you're not in the midst of a spacious camping area. Plus, you'll need to dedicate some time and patience to maintaining the griddle after each use – a task that even the most seasoned barbecue enthusiasts might find a bit daunting.
Overall, the Coleman Roadtrip Griddle XLT offers a fantastic combination of portability, versatility, and power, making it the perfect addition to your camping inventory. However, be prepared to tackle some minor challenges along the way, such as its bulkiness and the time-consuming maintenance processes.

I recently took the Coleman Deluxe Camp Grill on a camping trip with my friends. We were excited to try out this grill, as it seemed like a simple and convenient option for cooking over a campfire.
One of the first things we noticed was how sturdy and well-built it was. It's made from nickel-plated steel, which gave us confidence in its ability to handle the heat and the elements. The grill can be used either standing over the flames or laid flat on top of the fire, which was a useful feature that we appreciated.
Now, let's talk about the drawbacks. The grill has two sizes of holes, and we found that the larger ones were too big, causing our burgers to fall through when we were trying to flip them. We also thought it would be better if all the holes were the same size, as it would have made cooking more efficient.
Despite these minor issues, the Coleman Deluxe Camp Grill was a convenient and reliable option for our camping trip. It was easy to transport and fold up flat for storage, which made it a great choice for traveling. Overall, we were happy with our experience using this grill and would recommend it to others looking for a simple and convenient cooking tool for camping trips.

I recently tried the Coleman Fold N Go Portable Grill, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer for my outdoor cooking adventures. As a busy mom who loves to cook, this little grill proved to be perfect for my on-the-go meals.
The first thing that stood out to me was its built-in handle, which made it incredibly easy to transport and store. The design was compact and lightweight, making it an ideal companion for weekend camping trips or a quick dinner on my deck.
The InstaStart button was a highlight of my experience. Say goodbye to lighting a match or dealing with a lighter – this grill fires up with just the push of a button. Plus, the adjustable horseshoe burner allowed me to have precise temperature control, ensuring my burgers and hotdogs turned out perfectly cooked every time.
However, there were a couple of downsides. The grill wasn't the most durable, with a few users reporting issues with the lid latch. Additionally, the porcelain coating on the grate was not as sturdy as I would have hoped, which made it more challenging to clean up after use.
Overall, the Coleman Fold N Go Portable Grill is an excellent option for those looking for a small, portable grill for their adventures or to use at home. With easy-to-use features like InstaStart and a adjustable burner, this grill makes outdoor cooking a breeze. But, potential buyers should be aware of the durability issues and the need to handle the grill with care.

The Coleman Instastart Propane Party Grill was designed to bring the party anywhere; with its compact and lightweight design, this grill is perfect for tailgating, camping, or just hanging out in the backyard. One of its highlights is the 8,000-BTU burner control system that offers a perfect touch of heat, whether you're cooking up some steaks or just toasting some marshmallows.
The grill itself is easy to assemble and even easier to clean. The components are dishwasher-safe, making your post-cooking chores a breeze. I especially loved the feature that allows the legs to detach and fit inside the grill for easy storage and transportation.
Despite its many merits, there were a few drawbacks. Firstly, the grill's surface is prone to sticking and food could roll off quite easily. Additionally, the grill's performance varied; in some instances, the heat was unevenly distributed. The grill top, too, was a disappointment; the supplied one was too small and didn't fit properly.
In conclusion, the Coleman Instastart Propane Party Grill is a convenient and portable solution for those who want to grill or cook on-the-go. While it could use a few tweaks, such as a better grill top and even heat distribution, overall it does its job and makes for a fun addition to any get-together.

During my recent camping trip, I decided to bring along the Coleman Roadtrip Steel Portable Griddle, which I had heard great things about for its versatility and ease of use. I was particularly drawn to its 19-inch rolled carbon steel griddle cooktop, as it promised to cook up to 10 hamburgers at once with a whopping 14,000 BTUs of power.
Setting it up was a breeze; the scissor legs folded down effortlessly, and the two sturdy wheels made transportation an absolute cinch. I found the cooking surface incredibly smooth, which made flipping burgers a breeze. The griddle performed admirably, cooking evenly across its surface, much to my satisfaction.
One aspect that stood out, however, was the product's cleanliness. Its smooth surface proved a snap to clean, while the removable grease tray ensured a mess-free experience both during and after cooking.
Despite the initial assembly struggle mentioned by a reviewer, overall, I found the Coleman Roadtrip Griddle to be a fantastic choice for campers and backyard enthusiasts alike. The combination of its easy transport, even cooking heat distribution, and quick start mechanism make it a standout among portable griddles. My only caveat would be its weight, which while not a deal breaker, can make it a tad cumbersome to maneuver alone.

I recently tried the Gotham Steel 1619 Smokeless Electric Grill and was thoroughly impressed with its capabilities. Its large size and brown color made it a perfect addition to my kitchen, and it was easy to maneuver around thanks to its lightweight design.
One of the most outstanding features of this grill is its smokeless technology, ensuring that my kitchen was always free of the usual grilling smoke. The electric heating element cooked my food evenly and quickly, while the non-stick surface made cleaning a breeze.
However, there was one downside to this otherwise fantastic grill - its size. While it's great for large gatherings, it can be quite bulky and take up a significant amount of counter space.
Overall, the Gotham Steel 1619 Smokeless Electric Grill is a fantastic kitchen appliance that offers fast, even cooking with minimal mess. Although its bulkiness may be a drawback for some, it's a small price to pay for its impressive performance and ease of use.

I recently tried out the Coleman Portable Propane Grill during a camping trip, and I have to say, it made cooking in the great outdoors a breeze. I loved how versatile this grill is; perfect for camping, hunting, or tailgating. The heat output was impressive, with 11,000 BTUs of power across the 180 square inch grilling surface.
One of the features that really stood out to me was the PerfectHeat technology. It ensures efficient cooking using less fuel, which is great when you're out in the wilderness. The PerfectFlow technology also shines in extreme conditions, providing consistent performance across all weather scenarios.
Another handy feature was the WindBlock panels that help shield your flame from the wind. However, during calmer days, they fold down easily to serve as side tables. The removable grease management system is also a plus, making cleanup a breeze.
One thing I noticed wasn't perfect was the durability of the grill top. I had heard warnings about it, but mine unfortunately warped after just a few uses. This resulted in it being unable to close properly.
Despite this minor setback, the Coleman Portable Propane Grill proved to be a reliable and convenient companion for our outdoor adventures. It's perfect for creating the ideal meal, anywhere and anytime.

🔗Cuisinart Smoke-Less Contact Griddler: Versatile Indoor Griller for Delicious Grilled Meals

https://preview.redd.it/h3r3vexb9r1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd762ff30dc9809ce07d5e038cd024531705a028
I recently had the pleasure of using the Cuisinart GR-6S Contact Smoke-Less Mode Griddler in my own kitchen. Honestly, it brought a whole new dimension to my indoor grilling game. The smokeless feature made grilling indoors a breeze without filling my apartment with smoke.
One of the first things I noticed was the adjustable temperatures. It made it incredibly easy to get the perfect sear on my steaks, evenly brown my pancakes, and cook each dish to perfection without overcooking or undercooking. The LCD display and digital controls were quite user-friendly and made selecting the desired temperature a snap. Yet, there was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning.
Now, the highlight of the Griddler was the DuoControl Heating Advantage. I could independently control the temperature on the upper and lower plates. I used this to cook a variety of dishes like fish, poultry, and veggies. However, it did require some trial and error to figure out the ideal temperatures for each dish.
I also loved the removable drip tray and the nonstick dishwasher-safe plates. Cleanup was a breeze, which was a great thing considering how much I used the griddler. The capacity was fairly small, but as I said, it was made to handle a couple of sandwiches at a time.
However, there were a couple of issues. Firstly, the bottom plate didn't cook evenly when both the top and bottom had the same temperature. To fix this, I had to play around with the temperatures to get the right results. Also, the cooking surface was quite small, but considering its compact design, it made sense.
The construction was sturdy and, in fact, exceeded my expectations. The silver color made it a great addition to my kitchen, adding a certain visual appeal. The appliance held up well against daily use, proving to be quite durable. However, the design was a bit of a challenge to understand right out of the box.
Overall, I found the Cuisinart GR-6S Contact Smoke-Less Mode Griddler a joy to use. It added a touch of innovation to my grilling routines and was a great addition to my kitchen appliances collection. Even with its minor flaws, it certainly delivered in terms of quality and performance.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Brookstone Indoor, Outdoor Electric Grill. It's been great as a home grilling solution since it doesn't require charcoal or propane. My first time using it, I grilled some chicken, and the flavors just popped.
The two heating zones provided precise temperature control, allowing me to achieve that authentic grilled taste. However, I found the cleanup process a bit challenging as grease collected in the drip tray, making it a hassle to keep everything clean. Regardless, the grill's stainless-steel design and sleek outdoor cover made it a worthwhile addition to my outdoor cooking setup.

🔗Portable Coleman Gas Grill for the Ultimate Grilling Experience

I recently tried out the Coleman PerfectFlow InstaStart Gas Grill for a weekend camping trip. It was a breeze to set up, and with just a push of a button, the grill was up and running in no time. The convenient matchless lighting system really stood out to me, as it made starting the grill a hassle-free experience.
One of the biggest pros of this grill is its durability. The steel-crafted body is tough and can withstand various outdoor elements without any issues. Plus, on those calm days, the shields fold down as side tables, providing extra work space.
However, I did encounter a few cons during my time with the grill. Firstly, the drip tray wasn't the most effective. It seemed to catch grease well but can be a bit messy to clean. Secondly, the grill plate occasionally caused some difficulty in achieving an even cook.
Despite a few minor drawbacks, the Coleman PerfectFlow InstaStart Gas Grill has proven to be a reliable companion for me on my camping trips. So, if you're looking for a portable, convenient, and durable grill for your outdoor adventures, this might just be the one for you.

I recently tried out the Hamilton Beach IndooOutdoor Grill and was quite impressed by its performance. This grill was a game-changer in my household as it allowed me to enjoy juicy, flavorful grilled meats without having to step outside in the elements. The nonstick cooking surface was a standout feature as it made cleanup a breeze, unlike my old grill that could be a hassle to clean.
One of the things that stood out the most was the temperature control. It made it super easy to adjust the heat to my liking, ensuring that my food was perfectly cooked every time. The even heat distribution was also noticeable - no more burnt burgers or overcooked steaks!
However, there were a couple of drawbacks I encountered. Although it's compact and portable, it took a little longer to heat up compared to my outdoor grill. Additionally, some users have mentioned issues with the grill's durability, but I haven't experienced any problems myself yet.
Overall, the Hamilton Beach IndooOutdoor Grill is a fantastic product that has made an excellent addition to my kitchen. Its easy-to-clean features, exceptional temperature control, and even heat distribution make it a worthwhile investment for any grilling enthusiast.

I recently tried out the Coleman PerfectFlow Portable Camp Propane Grill/Stove, and I must say, it has been a game-changer during my camping trips. The ability to use it as both a stove and a grill at the same time is such a convenient feature.
One thing that really stands out is the wind block system. It ensures that the burners aren't affected by wind, which is a common issue when cooking outdoors. The propane pressure control technology also makes sure that the cooking surface generates up to 10,000 BTUs of cooking power.
However, there are a few downsides. The non-stick surface, while easy to clean, can sometimes be a bit tricky to handle while cooking. Additionally, the dimensions might be a bit bigger than expected, so it could take up more space than anticipated.
Overall, I've had a positive experience with the Coleman PerfectFlow Portable Camp Propane Grill/Stove. It's a reliable and versatile option for those who love camping and cooking outdoors.

A Coleman Tabletop Propane Gas Camping 2-in-1 Grill/Stove 2-Burner Gray has been my go-to grilling companion during recent camping trips. The convenience of cooking multiple meals simultaneously while occupying minimal space is truly a game-changer.
The best aspect of this grill is its versatility - it enables me to whip up a quick skillet meal or sear some burgers all at once, making it a perfect companion in the kitchen. Additionally, the grill surface fits a 10-inch pan, providing ample room for larger dishes.
However, I did encounter a minor inconvenience with the stove's design. The stove surface cannot accommodate a larger pot, rendering it unsuitable for preparing larger meals.
Overall, I am pleased with the Coleman Tabletop Propane Gas Camping 2-in-1 Grill/Stove 2-Burner Gray, as it has significantly streamlined my camping cooking experience. Despite the limitation with the stove's surface, its versatility and functionality make it a valuable addition to my camping gear.

The Coleman NXT 200 Portable Grill has been my trusty companion for countless camping trips and backyard barbecues. Its 20,000 BTUs of cooking intensity and 321 square inches of grilling space make it perfect for cooking up a storm, whether you're making burgers for the whole family or whipping up a quick meal on the go.
There are a few aspects of this grill that really stand out in my experience. First and foremost, its durability is top-notch. It's been with me through wind, rain, and snow, and it still performs like a champ. The materials used in its construction are of the highest quality, ensuring that it can withstand the elements and remain functional for years to come.
However, there are a couple of things that could use some improvement. One major drawback is the size and weight of the grill. It can be a bit of a struggle to transport it, especially if you're on your own. It's not exactly a lightweight option, so be prepared for a bit of heft when you're moving it from place to place.
Another area where this grill could use some work is the availability of accessories. Some users have reported difficulty in finding certain attachments, like the griddle, which can limit the versatility of the grill. It would be great if there were more options available for those looking to expand their cooking capabilities.
Overall, the Coleman NXT 200 Portable Grill is a reliable and powerful grill that has served me well in a variety of situations. It's a bit cumbersome to transport and accessory availability can be hit or miss, but if you're in the market for a dependable and efficient grill, this one fits the bill.

2024.05.21 12:17 Soggy_Lab8575 I hate how i look so much i want to either get a ton of cosmetic surgery or killmyself. I cant stand it anymore.

I (20M) feel like i got pretty lucky with alot of things that men say women want. Im 6"5, im semi muscular (ill get into this one l8r), i got good hair, and half desent facial hair, i have a LOT of money for ppl my age (around 100k at 20 due to a legal suit involving a death of a close relitive), and above average sized thing (not to be crass but i think its important for what im talking about).
Now thats all great, like every alpha male guy would say thats all that matters to get women but my insecurity comes from my face. I HATE the way my face looks. Like i cant put into words how disgusting my face is. My nose is down turned and pruyrdes too far from my face, my eyes are too deep set into my skull and have these disgusting genetic under eye bags that are always shadowed, my cheeks are fat and puffy and i have a aweful jaw that shoots way too high up to early on my face, as well as one side of my face is round and 1 side is sharp. I hate seeing myself. But so much of life is just seeing yourself, i dont want photos of me, i dont want to be seen in public, i dont want to go on dates, etc all because i hate the way i look. Ive gone through soo much in my life but ive really gotten through it all, abusive parents as a kid, dead parent as a teen, all my grandparents are dead, no real connections, a disease that hospitialized me for most of highschool, and so many other struggles in my life and yet the only thing that consitantly weighs on my mind and makes me suididal is my face.
I hate it so much i cant put it into words. Ive done ALOT of reflecting on why i hate how i look because im probaly objectivly speeking barely below average or maybe even average levels of attractivness. I think it comes from bad experinces with women in the past and a sense of inadequicy caused by having abusive parents. I know i mentioned alpha male shit at thr begining of this post but im actually not into any of that bullshit at all. Im a pretty big feminist and ive always kind of prided myself on not being that cringe women hating andrew tate fan, but what im realizing is i just internilized all that hatred instead of putting it onto women.
I constantly look at myself, i check myself in every reflection to confirm im still ugly, if there isnt a mirror i take a photo or look at myself in my phones reflection. I do this because i want to know what i look like in the moment. Even when im alone i constantly check. I have over 6k selfies on my phone if just that. Sometimes i feel confident and i feel like a 8 or a 9 out of 10 and then i see myself in normal/natural lighting and i feel like a 3/10. Its so paralalyzing. I would do anything to just feel comfterable in my own skin. I miss out on so many great things because im paranoid about how i look. When i walk to the store i spend the entire time obbsesivly freaking out about my aprarejce, when i hang out with friends i try and consuously position myself in ways they see my good side or me in good lighting because i dont want them to THINK im ugly. Its so miserable i want it to be over. Im genuinly suisidal over my facial apearnece which feels so pathetic when you consider what other people are going through or even what I have experinced in the past, its wierd THIS small thing is so deteimental to my life.
I feel my body is fine but i do have a eating disorder specifically in a attempt to reduce facial fat. I do sooo much to try and inprove my aperace but at this point its just genetics. Like i have a massive skin care routine, i work out frequently, and so much more but it just doesnt help.
One of my friends told me he though i was ugly when he first met me but now he things im average and it destroyed me. Idk why he said it honeslty i think he was drunk and ment it as a compliment and for a normal person they would just move on but for me its lingered in my mind 24/7 for the last 3 months. It doesnt even matter what he thinks because im straight and its not like im trying to date him but I think becuase of the way i obssess over what others think of my apearjwce it like confirmed my already negitive thoufhrs about my apernece. I dont voice these kind of things to ppl so its not like any1 knows not to say things like that but if i did ask him not to it would honeslty make ut worse because then it would feel like he was silently judging me.
I desprutially want to be loved, i think it has to do with being phyically and emotionally abused by both my parents as a kid because i feel this deep sinkinh feeling in my chest all the time and it feeld like the only way i could fix it would be love. Sometimes i get a glimse of it, like i fall in love and we go on a few dates and then it doesnt work out but for that short few weeks it felt like everything was fine fir the first rime ever. I want to just experince basic love like hugging and spending time together with someone in a romantic sense SOO deeply and it feels like it i was more attractive maybe those dates where i was in love but it wasnt mutual would work out.
I social media stalk one girl in particular and evey new boyfriend she gets is like 500x more attractive than me and it just makes me feel hopeless but i litterally cant get over her. 2 years and the feelings never went away. Every time i think im over her i dream about her or something big happens involving her or a friend mentions her in passing and its like all these dormant feeling reawaken and i just feel so inadiqet. Like i dont even want any1 else. Its wierd and it fucking sucks.
I feel like the only real options left are get cosmetic surgery and hope that fixes everything, or die and never have to worry about it again but i genuinly think all the time about all the bad photos thsg would be used at my funeral. If i got cosmetic survery i would move to the other side of the country and start a new life and just pretend it never happened and not talk to any1 who new me from before until they A forgot what i looked like, or B enough time passed its reasonable i looked diffrent.
What should i do? Is this fixable?

The process of finding applicants for full-time jobs within a company is known as permanent staffing. An organisation that specialises in permanent personnel handles this kind of hiring. They offer you candidates that match credible employees with open positions. Candidates placed through staffing agencies are typically considered part of the c workforce and receive the same advantages and compensation as other employees.
In permanent recruitment, several processes are involved, such as employee salary, experience, job description, etc. Companies taking help of recruitment agencies for the same? We have a proven record of offering high-quality, reliable staff to our clients. Vision India, offers a range of legal permanent staffing solutions that will fit your requirements.
But what about the role of permanent staffing companies? Well, they play a crucial role in the recruiting agencies. It provides firms with a pool of credible candidates to choose from. It also helps firms save time and money by pre-screening and interviewing candidates on their behalf.

Types of Talented Candidates Hiring

Temporary and permanent staffing are the two categories. The option to screen and evaluate fresh applications before making a permanent hire and the possibility of lower expenses compared to permanent recruitment; are two advantages of temporary employment. The disadvantage is that temporary employees acquired through recruiting agencies might not work as hard and may only be with the organisation for a short while.
Full-time hiring has advantages and cons of its own. Positively, permanent candidates are more likely to have a greater retention rate and are typically more committed to their work. However, permanent employees are not pocket-friendly, and it can take longer to recruit the best candidate.
The recruiting for your organisation will depend on your hiring needs. Like, if working on a short-term project, hire temporary employees. Moreover, if your company growing and wants someone for the long term, recruit permanent employees.

Define Temporary-To-Permanent Staffing

For companies, the process of temp-to-prem means staffing for a contract position that leads to a long-term position after a specific period. Staffing companies help companies by providing temp-to-perm hiring. In this process, the company recruits contract employees if they want to hire them permanently. It helps provide credible employees to client organisations.
There are many things to remember if you’re opting for temp-to-perm recruitment. Firstly, understand how long the contract will last and the criteria for being offered a long-term position. Secondly, research properly and ask a bunch of questions. It will help you source the best arrangement for your requirements and avoid pitfalls.
Temp-to-perm recruitment aims to offer employers a way to test out candidates before recruiting permanent employees. This type of staffing can be advantageous for companies because it allows them to:
  • Determine employee’s skills and abilities
  • Select if a candidate is a credible fit for the firm culture
  • Save on employee training costs
Temp-to-perm recruitment can also be beneficial for candidates because it gives them a chance to:
  • Ensure their skills and abilities
  • Show their value to the firm
  • Gain valuable experience

Working in a Permanent Firm

2024.05.21 12:16 FickleField9053 I need your advice please :) !

Hi everyone,
I'm in a long-distance relationship with my boyfriend. I'm a 27-year-old female, and he's a 29-year-old male. We're going to celebrate our two-year anniversary this August. We met in our hometown through mutual friends during the summer and clicked instantly. He’s a wonderful and caring guy, and I love him so much. He makes the effort to visit me every 2-3 months since I can’t visit him due to visa restrictions.
Initially, the distance was manageable and didn’t affect me much. However, after our recent trip together, I returned home feeling deeply frustrated that he wasn’t with me. To make matters worse, I had a car accident on the second day back. Physically, I’m fine, but mentally, it took a toll on me. I wished he was here to support me.
I have a tendency to isolate myself when I’m feeling depressed. I haven't been to therapy due to the cost, but I try to analyze my behavior and stay aware of my mental state. This time, though, it’s been really hard. I feel miserable in my life here and unhappy. I used to love working out, but it doesn’t bring me joy anymore. There’s not much to do here besides going out and drinking on weekends. All my close friends, who aren’t many, live abroad, including my boyfriend.
My boyfriend has a very active social life, and it seems like the distance doesn’t impact him as much as it does me. I get jealous, not of the people he’s with, but because I want to be the one sharing those moments with him. I’ve started feeling like an accessory in his life. I know this isn’t true, but these feelings build up, making me angry and causing me to overanalyze everything. I struggle to communicate my feelings to him because I don’t want to seem jealous or needy. He gets confused and upset when I don’t communicate, but I just can’t find the right words.
I don’t think there’s a solution to closing the gap between us except getting married, which we haven’t planned. I honestly don’t know what to do.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you cope with it? Any advice on managing these feelings and the long-distance relationship would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for reading, it means a lot :)

2024.05.21 12:14 throwrasympathygood Said they have no feelings just before they proposed 34F 34M?

I had a relationship where the person seemed all into me from the start with regular communication and inquisitiveness about me. We met at the park originally and had really great spark. I had never had anything like that before. Usually i was used to people who were inconsistent and don’t care really. This person met my family and friends and a little bit later they said they thought we were so well matched that actually they were ready to propose and get married. we shared the same values the same future outlook in life. everything was just matched. we could talk for the whole day at a time and we did activities together.
i started taking part in their hobbies because I enjoyed doing things together. soon i realised that i was the one doing their hobbies more than they were caring or asking about mine. i noticed the stuff i was proud of like a few of my hobbies and activities they said were silly. they called me dumb and stupid as a joke on several occasions. they even called me a swear word as a joke also. when i expressed i didnt like it they carried on saying it about someone else. apparently they said this stuff to people they care about/it’s their friendship groups humor. they made a joke about my ears as a joke my clothes too there was always something to say about them. i felt that i was changing myself for them - the way i look and the way i dressed. even though they weren’t controlling or forceful their sarcastic comments got to me and made me change. i had an intrinsic feeling a few times that they were rushing things and didn’t really care who i was as a person but they kept reassuring me that we were right. we talked about the proposal rings honeymoon future moving in everything. the proposal was meant to happen soon after
we met again after a little bit of time of being LDR different states and all of a sudden they had completely changed and were cold with me. they just didn’t care and my jokes were annoying and they seemed happier with everyone else but me. they walked ahead of me and let a door close in my face because they were so unbothered where i was. i asked the issue and they said they don’t feel anything for me romantically and we’re nothing more than a checklist. i couldn’t believe this. i was shocked and although i accepted things amicably i’m really distraught. i don’t understand the change overnight from one night saying nothing would change their feelings about me to nothing. it’s been a month and has had a significant impact on me. i just don’t know how i’m ever going to get the consistency they gave me again. they wanted to talk all the time even from the start and I’ve only ever talked to people before who were very low effort with me. We matched on everything and I was so excited about the future and I just don’t know how I can move on after we had planned so much. i don’t think i can find someone who communicates like that again or is this consistent. what should i do?
