I looked in the PC and there's a shiny Deoxys. I know it could just be hacked but the rest of the PC looks completely normal, this is the only shiny they have and the only other legendaries are ones from the game. It says it was captured in 2011, I remember around that time my local Game had a Pokemon Black and White event where you could get shiny Dialgia, Palkia and Giritina, so I know you could definetely get shiny legendaries legit, I just don't know if Deoxys was ever distributed this way. Is there any way to tell if it's hacked? |

Fabrizio reach out to Francesco about building a camera app for iOS. He took the offer but, after a short collab, they dropped the project. Nothing came out of it in the end

They met through Twitter in 2011. They were part of the same bubble of Italian teenagers interested in tech (specifically Apple at the time). When it comes to Twitter, we have been building a following there for some time, so it was a matter of publishing the right tweet, at the right time, and getting the right people to retweet it
For Product Hunt, we partnered with our friend Chris. His followers got a notification when he hunted us, but we also did our part and emailed our lists. That helped to get fast on the front page and to kickstart the discussion
How got to the HackerNews front page three times in a row
What's the point, though? Those articles took me 1-2 hours to write and resulted in 40k+ visits to this blog, hundreds of signups for Typefully and Mailbrew, and many Twitter followers
- "Select a topic. HN is a community of entrepreneurial hackers, naturally curious about company building, startups, programming, technical topics, and understanding the world. Writing about those topics will help but is not required. In fact, you can write about anything as long as your writing is intellectually honest, in-depth, and does not try to sell something."
- "Pick the right title. The title should describe exactly what the post is about. No marketing is allowed. Think of the title more as a commit message than a headline."
- "Don't try to outsmart HN readers. You can safely assume that the average HN reader is smarter than you. They have a radar for bullshit. You are either telling a story, describing a problem, showing something you built, or not getting to the front page. This should influence your title and style of writing. Not trying to teach anything."
- "Be responsive in the comments. Engaging with people in the comments is the funniest part of the front-page experience. I usually write in a void and getting the diverse feedback that HN delivers is a ton of fun. I believe starting a discussion is also key in getting people to click and upvote your post. I don't take comments too seriously or personally. While the average HN reader may be smarter than me, there is a lot of variance."

Anyway the Southies pilot wasn’t that good, pretty hack Boston stereotypes, but I remember digging the hand-drawn animation style. 2007, I was 10 and would turn 11 later in the year. My sister’s boyfriend was over the house a lot. He was a skater, Bam Margera type of guy who lived at the beach (albeit on the east coast) and would drive up on the weekends to see my sister. They used to listen to music on my sister’s stereo a lot. They would listen to a variety of music ranging from Grateful Dead to Staind to The Doors. However one CD would play a lot more than the others, the 1996 Sublime self titled album. She would listen to it with and without him and I would constantly hear “Wrong Way” and “Santeria” despite not knowing the title of the song or the artist. Fast forward to Summer of 2008, I was up way later than I should have been trying to remember the lyrics to “Santeria”. All I knew was “what I really wanna know, ah baby”. So I plugged that into Google and got a YouTube video for “Santeria”. From there I downloaded “Wrong Way”, “What I Got”, “Santeria”, and “Doin’ Time” onto my iPod and they were a good portion what I listened to for the rest of the summer. When my sister went to college I immediately ransacked her CD collection and downloaded 40oz, Robbin the Hood, and the Self titled.
Fast forward to early 2009, I’m still listening to Sublime almost daily. One day I’m online and I notice an article about Sublime reforming with an 18 year old named Rome Ramirez. I was very excited to see this band that I just discovered was coming back. Of course I was just excited when they changed the name to Sublime with Rome. Even as a kid I knew it was a good way of separating the two. A couple years pass and I’m not following the news on SWR until 2011 when I see they’re releasing new music on an album called “Yours Truly”. Here’s where SWR would have a knack for releasing music that coincided with major events in my life. I graduated grade school in 2011 and the soundtrack of that summer was “Yours Truly”, I would listen to every track on that album constantly. For Christmas that year I had my parents get me the physical CD. From 2011-2015 I made new friends in high school and was able to introduce a lot of them to both Sublime and Sublime with Rome.
“Sirens” came out the summer I graduated high school and almost everybody in my friend group was listening to it. I have very good memories of hearing “Wherever You Go” at the beach, driving at night with friends, and at parties. That same summer me and 3 others went to see SWR live (my first of 4 times) and it was a great experience to be able to hear the music I love played live.
“Blessings” came out the summer I graduated college and the lyrics to that album resonated with me more than the previous albums. Especially “Light On”. It was yet another summer that I was going through a life change while having new SWR music to accompany it.
Fast forward to 2023-2024, I’m now 27. The past year saw a bad breakup and a departure from a job that I really began to hate. I have not been in too many dark spots in my life, but this one required a little spiritual and emotional recovery. I can confidently say I am truly happy again. I’ve got another summer to look forward and yet again new SWR music to accompany me. This is the main reason I stick up for SWR and Rome as an individual. Their music is connected to major parts of my life. If you don’t like the music itself you’re free to bash it but I will never see the group as “hacks” as some people like to call them.

First let me start my story since childhood
Mai bachpan se thoda sa padhayi mai nalayak tha school skip krne ke bahane bnata tha ()... I will admit up front, that although I first became acquainted with yacc in the late 80es/early 90es (and I think The UNIX Programming Environment by Kernighan and Pike is one of the best books I've read), I have never been fond of - and probably also never truly grasped - LR and LALR grammars. I can write LL(1) grammars in my sleep, "the other way" scares me a bit. I am trying to write a C23 parser - and with C being what it is, and has become, I fear my life is too short to try refactoring the C23 grammar to LL(k) for any k. So Bison it is, for better or worse. I already have a "working" parser using the C11 grammar from http://www.quut.com/c/ANSI-C-grammar-y-2011.html, which has 2 shift/reduce conflicts - one for dangling else, and one for _Atomic. Both known and expected.
Based on a different grammar extracted straight from a C23 draft https://github.com/thradams/cgrammar by Thiago Adams (who I believe has posted on Reddit about his tool cake a while back), I have made a new .y file, which I have carefully crossreferenced with the latest draft I could find, n3220.pdf. Then I also cross-checked it with the C11 grammar, formatting it the same way for easy diffing.
I have commented out all the lexical rules (as they are meant for the lexer), and all the preprocessing rules. I get 51 shift/reduce conflicts.
I have tried removing attributes altogether by redefining attribute_specifier_sequence as a nonexistent token, bringing the grammar down to a subset largely equivalent to C11, this didn't help much, but it brings the number of shift/reduce conflicts down to 36. Defining a "hack" token for "[{WS}*[" and changing the attribute_specifier rule (and adding an interim non-existing token symbol as a place-holder for the last alternative of the balanced_token rule), I still get 37 shift/reduce conflicts. I have a hard time believing this can be right?
I have searched to no avail for a Bison or (B)yacc grammar for C23, but there seems to be none so far - although compiler support for C23 is available. It seems people prefer to write C parsers by hand? I have forked (https://github.com/lassehp/cgrammar) Thiago's cgrammar repository, and added my C23.y and C23.l files. I hope doing so will result in someone having a look and perhaps suggesting any fixes to make the grammar correct and unambiguous - any help would be most welcome!

I worked for an Auto Company. My plant closed in 2008. Despite us having a guarantee to have a product line until 2011. This was made when we ratified our most recent contract first. The company decided to close us down to keep a Right to work factory open in Texas, and a plant outside the country in Mexico. And then came begging for handouts from Congress.
I had to move to a new plant in 2010. You had people from all over at this plant. Some from a nearby city had "city" mafia shirts printed. New people didn't know the story. Our union negotiated for us to get money when we needed to move. These people had the goal to shut this place down to get more money to move. Yeah, I know.
After a year or two. I noticed a strange trend. You had all these young, attractive women on jobs they should not have. I noticed one running around with a repair stamp and bypass key she should not have had. Management was showing her how to hack into the computer with someone else's login to mark defects as repaired.
This is a huge violation of our quality policy. Not to mention our ISO obligations to sell product overseas.
I turned the proof of the stamp being used to mark defects on the Matrix/Manifest, to my Alternate Union Rep. But found out later it was his stamp. So it vanished. Much like his duty to represent the membership. Before this blew up. You have union people who could not get moved to jobs they posted. As the contract demands. Because someone's girlfriend appeared to be camped out on a easy job. When they finally did get moved. Many quit on the spot.
In the fall out of this scandal. It seemed the Assistant Plant Manager was shoved out the backdoor. My boss was moved out of management into Engineering. One boss was removed and sent back to work for the union. Story was he was sleeping with one of his Team Leaders Wife. A Business Manager was moved back in to management. And he was replaced with 3 people. One for each shift instead of one for whole department.
Later on, I think they were starting it up again. And there were other quality issues. My health started to go bad. I lost my Gallbladder. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto Syndrome, meaning my Thyroid was losing function. But after I lost my job due to health issues. The symptoms changed. I no longer seemed to need 4 or 5 meds I had been taking. I still have health issues. But I think it's from what I was must have been drugged with and the meds fighting it.
I am trying to stream to earn a living. It's probably just a fool's errand to keep me busy while my health seems to get worse. But trying to get the word out. In hopes, it doesn't happen again.
I could really use the help. To spread this word.
