This usually happens but I usually get past it by using my manual save option but this time all my autosaves and manual saves crashes when I try to load it in. I have made the stupid mistake of making one manual save of this world even tho I knew this happens. It might have to do this is a cracked version of the game I downloaded but I would like to try get my world back since I have around 130 hours in it :')

I saw in another post here that you can go back and replay old levels to gain more stars to increase your box/crop crate level?
How do I see my boxes?
Also i might be calling them the wrong name, it's the crates that appear after gaining a crop (gold, diamond, etc) and you pick two prizes
I've been trying to find an answer for almost an hour I'm struggling hahah

I need some guidance on these two questions, I already checked the answers and got it somewhat correct, it only says "Yes" or "No" and that's it without any full steps given
For 14(c), focusing on the latter part of the question, I used the normal distribution of the mass of cans of meat for calculation, X~N(752,18²), and guessing that "outside the range of 715g to 790g" means to find P(X<715)+P(X>790)=0.0373. I found how much cans of meat there actually is, 1200 × 0.0373≈ 44.76= 45 cans, which is concerningly low than what was said (75 expected cans of meat).
-I need some confirmation on if I got the answer wrong or not, and at which part I am incorrect in. .
For 14(d), where the lengths of engineering components, X~N(20.0, 0.9²) and where, for the sample having 225 components, bar_X~N(20.2, 0.06²) For the odd request stated in the question, I used a 99% confidence interval (on both distributions) to measure out the interval of the means for each distribution: The mean of X= 20.0± 2.4786. The mean of bar_X= 20.2± 0.1652. I compared both confidence intervals and found that the mean of bar_X is inside of the mean of X and concluded that a change has taken place, and that would be the right answer.
-I just need some confirmation if what I did is correct, but I need guidance on the interval shown in the answer of the question (as in how to get those values)

A couple of evenings ago, one of my ESL students decided to choose the conversation topic of “Love or Money.” One of the questions in the material was whether you would choose to find your true love or receive 5 million dollars.
My student is an older teenager and has the unsettling habit of wanting to ask me the questions after he answers them himself. Being an introvert, I would prefer he didn’t, and being a person with high-functioning autism (HFA), I always answer honestly.
My student asked me if I would choose to find true love or money. My answer confused him, as I said it would depend on the end result.The point is neither the money nor the love, but how it affects others.
We live in a broken and confusing world, and we are human — even the best of us will at times make mistakes that hurt those we love. Sometimes, love is not enough, no matter how true, to save what was lost.
Hypothetically, I said I would typically choose personal connection, “true love” as cliché as that might be, over money. However, if I knew that down the road, my true love and I could not weather future storms and it would leave us separated, I would probably choose the money. I’d rather avoid causing them pain or being a factor in that pain, not because of the money itself.
To me, money is just money. Yes, it would be nice to have more of this “tool” in my savings account, checking account, and retirement accounts. But honestly, I have a good life, all my immediate needs and wants are met, and at the end of the day, that is enough for me. But sometimes, “choosing love” looks different than one might expect.
Sometimes we “give up” on love because we fear the future and what might be, sometimes that costs us more than we imagine, and sometimes, if we are lucky enough, we win the lottery and get a second chance, with both love and money.

2024.05.19 13:05 FallaciousSweater Should have winged my Ielts

Just took the written tests, and well undoubtedly I’ve successfully screwed up the two parts I was supposed to score high bands in with flyinggg colours- reading and listening. last nite i went to bed at like 12am, but I couldnt fall asleep til around 5:30 I think. I’d done a couple of reading and listening past papers and managed to get a 9/8.5 in all of them. But guess what happened in the real test? In reading, for two of my answers, I wrote “True”, “False”, instead of “Yes” and “No” respectively. So yeah I’m pretty sure my score has been down to around band 8, 7 or even lower cuz unlike the previous times, I didnt have much time for checking this time. As for listening, I prayed that map questions wouldn’t appear in listening, but well everything worked NOT to my favour as it always has been, so yeah I’m pretty sure I messed up my listening as well. Really should have winged it cuz all my preparation has gone in vain. I’ve let myself down once again, as I have always been for these couple of years. I’m sorry for the rambling. Y’all should have skipped this post. Life just has been rlly tough on me these past couple of years and I’ve went from a person who was so confident in herself to one that is constantly being disappointed by herself. I used to always manage to achieve whatever goal I’d set for myself, but not now anymore. Cant even get my desirable scores in Ielts. Speaking in a couple of hours? Well I haven’t rlly prepared for this part specifically even tho I talk to myself in English every day. Might wing it then. For those who are gonna take their Ielts soon, just go to bed early and make sure you’re able to fall asleep right away.

I recently purchased the Wasatch 18 Gun Safe, and it exceeded my expectations. Its sleek design and durability have been impressive so far. The fireproof features stood out to me, and I appreciate that it can handle a temperature of up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. The waterproof aspect is also reassuring since it can withstand up to 2 feet of water for 72 hours, which is a great feature to have in case of accidents.
One thing I found particularly useful is the electronic lock with the alarm U function. I love the theft alert and deterrent alert features that give me peace of mind. The backup key is also a great touch for added security. The external hinges allow for a full 180-degree opening, providing excellent access to all my valuables.
The interior door storage and lever handle have been quite convenient. The 1.5-inch active locking bolts and 2 dead bolts also add an extra layer of security. However, I did find out that the safe is not designed to hold 18 guns – instead, it can accommodate 3-4 short rifles or 8 handguns, which I find a bit limiting.

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW, and I must say, I was impressed. This fireproof and waterproof safe is perfect for gun enthusiasts who want to protect their precious belongings from potential damage.
One of the most impressive features of this safe is its backlit electronic lock, which comes with an Alarm-U function. Please help!
I am trying to implement a feature for a game in the 5e System, using Midi QoL and DAE. I have currently been able to implement most of the parts of it, but I am unable to nail down some parts, and am unable to get some other parts to work at the same time... I would appreciate some advice on how to implement the feature, and whether there are any other modules or features of Foundry that I should be using to do so.
please see said feature, where I have highlighted the relevant mechanical parts below:

Predator’s Focus

Beginning at 1st level, as an action, or when you target a creature with a weapon attack, you may expend a use of your predator's focus feature to mark the creature as your prey. The creature remains marked until either of you drop to 0 hit points, or you mark a new creature as your prey.
You have a pool of 2 focus die, size d4, which recharge at the beginning of your turn. You may expend a focus die to give yourself a bonus to the attack or damage roll of a weapon attack made against your prey, equal to the roll of the expended die. You can make this choice after the roll, but before you know the result. Additionally, you may add your focus die to any Wisdom (Perception) or Wisdom (Survival) check you make to find it.
You have one use of this feature, which you regain on a short rest. You gain more uses of this feature as you level up, shown in the Prey column of the class table.
You may expend a spell slot to gain one use of this feature per level of the slot expended, up to your maximum number of uses.
Beginning at 6th level, you may expend 2 uses of this feature to increase the size of your focus die pool to 3 [I may want this to be that the size of the die increases instead]. As you level up, you can expend more uses to increase your focus die pool, as shown in Predator Pool table below.

Required Mechanisms

Target a creature to designate prey
Add optional extra dice to attack and damage rolls
- May be any number of extra dice to be added
- Preferably only against the designated creature, not a requirement
Have a pool of these dice that may be used each turn
- Pool needs to reset each turn
- The size of the pool should be configured upon activating the feature
  - Alternatively, the size of the die could increase, whilst the size of the pool remains the same

Example

Player attacks an enemy, marking them as their prey.
Upon marking them as their prey, they decide how many uses of the feature they wish to expend, which sets EITHER the size of the pool or the size of the die used in the feature.
Once they go to attack their prey, they receive a prompt asking if they wish to add 1 or more dice to the roll. This is repeated for the damage roll.
Any dice used, are taken away from their pool of dice.
At the end of their turn, the pool of dice resets.

Current Implementation

I am currently trying to use a combination of the 5e sheet configurable resources, Midi QoL Optional Flags and Effect Macros, to achieve parts of this.

A class feature is being used for the Predator's Focus item
This feature applies a 'prey' effect to a targeted creature (this currently does nothing)
It also applies a 'focus' effect to the user of the feature, which:
- Uses the midi-qol optional flags to create a pop-up prompting the user to add a d4 to an attack roll or damage roll
- Uses the optional flag 'count' feature to decrement a 'focus' resource set on the user's sheet
- Uses an effect macro to reset the resource to its maximum value each turn

Issues

The 'prey' effect is a dummy, which just tags a creature but does nothing active, meaning that the 'focus' pop up is applied to all attack rolls, not just those against the prey
All of the values are hard coded:
- I have set the max value for the die pool resource manually, it is not configured by number of uses of the feature expended
- The effect macro sets the resource back to exactly this hard coded max value, it doesn't pull out the maximum value from the resource data

The pop-up only allows for one die to be added, not multiple
Unless the effect is set to be passive (which means that rolling the feature does not apply the effect, you have to manually turn the effect on and off on the user), using the optional flag 'count' on the resource doesn't decrement the resource on the sheet, and removes the effect once the resource would have been used up (not sure if this is a bug)

Please can somebody help me figure out how I can implement this better?? I am really struggling to find a solid knowledge base that seems to answer any of these questions in a more general sense. Even trying to find out how to set the resource back to 'whatever it's maximum might be' instead of having to hard code it as 3 has been a challenge.

2024.05.19 13:03 One_Steak_6014 What does do you think my dreams mean? 2nd dream is weird

I rarely dream and when I do dream they’re not memorable. These past 2 nights I’ve dreamt and remembered both dreams. The second one will be longer only because I remember more from that one.
Backstory: I’ve been staying at my sisters friends house cat sitting. I don’t particularly like this person but it’s good money, maybe that’s a detail? Idk
First dream: I’m at my grandmothers (in hometown 2 hours away) when I hear a big commotion and I run outside to find packs of dogs, all different breeds. My best friend (lives in hometown) is walking them down the street to get adopted. Keep in mind this is at least 40 dogs. I called out to the dogs and one ran up to me. An orange husky puppy. He just ran up to me and started loving on me. I told my friend that I was stealing him and not paying for him jokingly. That’s what I did though, I stole him and took him back home. I knew I could take him because I knew she’d be ok with it.
Second dream: I’m at my old apartment where I grew up but I’m an adult still living with my mom. I don’t see my mom in the dream, I just know she’s there sleeping in her room. I feel something sharp at my chest and I look in my shirt. There’s a hornet. I start to panic but keep calm. I try to take my shirt off but I feel something go up my nose so I pull my shirt back down and plug my nose and it crawls out of my nose back down into my shirt. Now that I know it’ll do that I’m scared to take my shirt off so I run outside and try to find my friend (I don’t know this girl in real life, I just know she’s a friend in my dream). I find her on the sidewalk walking her dog looking all disheveled, probably drunk. She said she was out at an event and just got home. I told her what was happening and she just stared at me. This didn’t help me at all and I became frustrated with her. I can feel the hornets in my bra and armpits. Just tiny little pinpricks. They never one pierced my skin and stung me, they just slept there, and nested there. Finally I said f it and threw all my belongings on the sidewalk. I started to take my shirt off again and they went up my nose again. I pulled my shirt back down. I get really frustrated, I don’t think I’ve ever been frustrated in a dream before. I saw what looked like a big calling box they have at indoor building apartments (even though this was outdoor apartments), it had one button on it and a camera. I realized I would’ve been on camera if I took my shirt off so I stepped into the breezeway. This is where someone brings a whole hornets nest. I don’t know who this person was in real life or in my dream. They handed it to me and walked away. I hung it on staircase railing. I stared at it for a little bit. FINALLY, I get the courage to actually start. Before I start my friend starts to record me on her phone (which is weird because if I didn’t want to be on camera in front of the building why would I want to in the hall? lol) so I turn around as I start the process. I calm myself completely. I don’t think I’ve ever been this calm. I try a new way to take my shirt off. I take my arms out first, then slowly move it over my head. It works. They start to fly around a bit and I’m startled for a second. I slowly walk like 10 feet to the nest and get an inch away from it. One hornet touches the nest then comes back to my chest and communicates to all the hornets that home is right there. They slowly start to fly out of my bra and armpits. They finally all reach the nest safely, the first wasp that alerted all the others flies back and lands on my arm. I close my eyes for the impacts but then I feel something soft. I open my eyes and there’s a freaking black and white cat on my arm. I am apparently not startled by this and I nuzzle my head with his head. It then “went home” to the nest. The best started glowing yellow and then I woke up. I woke up with so much anxiety. I was shaking.
The second dream just freaked me out. It didn’t help that after I woke up I went to the bathroom and as I was leaving I turned the light off. Then I turned it back on because I was scared. It turned on then off then flickered a little bit until I turned it back off. It freaked me out and felt like I had a ghost or something. I started to wonder if I was being haunted in this house since it’s so foreign to me. Then I started to wonder if the ending of the second dream with the cat…was supposed to be the cat I’m watching because they’re both black and white, this one is mean though. (I think the whole dream had something to do with my anxiety. I feel like I hold back a lot. )
Here is my small interpretation of the second dream: i have no close friends here, so maybe that’s why I didn’t know the people in the dream. I have a lot of anxieties that hold me back and I need to face them. I don’t need to question my life, I just need to live it. I have a pretty professional job and when I’m driving I’m on camera and when I’m in the buildings I stop at there’s a cameras, so when I go home I always feel like I’m being watched because I’m being watched all day at work. Maybe I need to make pease with my hometown, my mom is still mad I moved 2 hours away and it’s been almost 2 years. I live with my sister and her family, maybe I get anxiety living with them? I feel like I’m good with them though.
I looked up a bunch of things from both dreams. I know that no one knows me personally on here so a lot of detail is probably not given. I’d just like opinions, also I needed to tell someone about my dream. It was 5 am when I started writing this, it’s now 7am. If you have any questions please ask and I’ll try my best to answer. I feel like I’m overthinking everything and maybe these dreams mean absolutely nothing…but I really feel like they have meanings. Also sorry if everything is so chaotic, I just needed to get everything out.

2024.05.19 13:02 tones_are_hard Dead is Dead - Sword and Board Vampire Hunter

Was killed by these two Master Vampires on a quest for the Companions
Just finished a very fun Dead is Dead (DiD) run in Wildlander. Played a Non Dragonborn Heavy Armor Sword and Board character with high skills in Alchemy and about 50 in Alteration and Destruction each. This was my first time playing Sword and Board ever in Skyrim, even though I've played since the game came out (I almost always roll mage). Not my favorite build (favorite is still the Atronach Battlemage build, you can find it in my profile history), but still very fun.
Backstory was his family was killed by, vampire lords and he's been traveling around Tamriel searching for clues about them for the past few years. Finally arrives in Skyrim and gets right down to business. I actually hadn't gotten to Dawnguard yet, was planning on doing it at level 35, but ended up dying to these vampires at level 34. As the game went on I became Meridia's champion and leaned into that roleplay a bit, fighting evil and undead things and making up RP reasons that Meridia (take notes mod is super fun for that) told me to fight these people.
The death came from two master vampires, one Level 60, the other Level 100, both in full ebony armor with Dragon Priest Summons. I went to kill them in a cave close to Rorikstead on a quest for the companions. Had about 300 M, 650 H, and 400 S, 1700 Armor, and max MR when I died, was shouted down by one of them with some Ice shout (I think) and then killed while I was on the ground. Oh well, he died doing what he loved. I tried the fight again using the Breton Ancestor ability (100% Magic Absorption for 6 seconds) and was able to win the fight, which is where I took that pic. But either way, on to the next build! Love the mod pack, thanks so much team for creating it! This is definitely the most fun I've ever had in an RPG and it's all thanks to this mod pack.

2024.05.19 13:02 wheatflats I've tried so many budgets and they always fail. I'm bad with numbers. Help?!

Sorry if this has been asked in different ways before.
I'm in my mid-30s and I've tried many times in the past to make a budget but can never make it work. I've tried various methods from very simple (writing down each transaction in a book), so different spreadsheet templates, to using the automated budget sections of apps like Monzo or Revolut, but I can never stick with it or even understand on a basic level what is going on.
I am bad with numbers generally but I find money basically impossible to understand. I don't know where to begin with simple things like working out how much I want to or could save each month, or how much to budget for things like eating out. Any time I spend any amount of money the number balloons to some vague but huge number in my head. Even if I'm just buying a cup of coffee my brain says "well you've overspent so that's it for the month" and I try and avoid spending any amount of money at all unless I absolutely have to.
I've never known what my monthly outgoings are even though I try often to work it out. Numbers become blurred and I lose track very quickly. An example - I had to borrow some money from my folks when a relationship ended and I had to cancel a lease on a flat. They lent me some money to cover a shortfall with those costs and I couldn't work out what the difference between say, £1000 and £1400 was. When I try and either break my monthly pay check into expenses, leisure, etc., the numbers break apart in my head and I can't piece it back together, or if I try and do the opposite, the numbers balloon into something ridiculous and I can't parse it. This isn't all of it but I find it hard to articulate.
I want to buy a house some day but right now I wouldn't be able to answer any of the basic questions the bank would have, so that becomes an obstacle I put in front of myself.
All of this makes day to day living very stressful and I am sick of it, but I don't know what a solution is that would work for me.
Is there any way I can get around this? I feel I am basically innumerate when it comes to money and it is stressful and embarrassing.

I need help and I also wanted to share a story or two, if that’s ok. So this is LOOONG. Please forgive any mistakes or wrong words
I’ve put the questions up top so feel free to ignore the rest. I just wanted to tell people about her.

TL;DR
Part one: My beloved 98-yo Catholic grandmother in Sweden is dying, no other family member is Catholic. We don’t know what we need to do now before and after her passing.
Part two: Gran’s story and the Cardinal who Didn’t Forget.

Part one
My Grandma is 98 and nearing the very end. She is a devout Catholic who converted in her 60s. No one else in the family is Catholic and there are very few Catholics in Sweden overall.
Her faith is incredibly important to her and I want to make sure she leaves the world properly from a religious standpoint.
Only I don’t know anything about it and I don’t know who to ask.
I would be so grateful for any guidance.
Questions:
1. Are there things we need to do for her from a religious perspective when the end comes? Last rituals?
Any special handling of the body?
Should we call a priest but who?

2. Swedish funerals usually don’t take place in three or four weeks after death. Is that okay?

3. Her service will be held in a Protestant church with a Protestant priest and buried in the family plot that’s there.
She has okayed this. She originally wanted to Catholic service in this particular church but it’s not allowed.
Are there any things (prayers, rituals etc) we can include to honor her faith?

4. Do I need to notify her local church? She is a member of the Secular Carmelites as well.

5a. Obituaries work a little differently in Sweden but I figured I’d ask. It’s common to include a little picture or symbol in them, everything from roses to sports team logos (yes, truly! 😂)
Most of the Catholic obituaries I see simply have a cross and . Is that the proper way to do it?

5b. Most obituaries include a quote.
Would this be appropriate?
”I am going towards you whom I have always sought, loved and always desired.”

It may sound odd I watched Sister Claire Crockett’s final vows and heard it and just knew instantly it should be in Gran’s obituary.

Gran and the Cardinal
Now it’s story time!
Gran converted in her 60s “after a lifetime of searching” and was an eager theological correspondent.
She is a passionate fan of St John of the Cross and mysticism in general and is a member of the Secular Carmelites.
My Gran is Dutch, spent her first decade in Indonesia before coming back to Holland just in time for the German occupation.
She grew up Protestant but the war planted a seed in her mind and she set out to discover the spiritual world and learning as much as possible about every religion she could find, Taoism, Shinto, Hindu gurus, the works.

I asked her once what made her choose Catholicism in the end. She said that she had seen a small bookstore that interested her and unbeknownst was in a small, nondescript church.
Gran said she went in through the door and felt a “flash” or a rush or something she couldn’t quite describe and just knew. She spoke to a priest that very same day.

Gran never quite lost hope that one of her children or grandchildren would convert (I was her best candidate but that has not happened. 😅)

My grandmother had to stop going to Church maybe 10–15 years ago since hearing is so bad and it still grieves her.
She misses the community of the church, theological discourse, the connections she has made over the years. She felt lonely.

I don’t know how much the “regular Catholic” knows about different cardinals but we actually got a Swedish one, Anders Arborelius, a few years ago.
Gran knows him through the Carmelites and she has corresponded quite extensively with ”Bishop Anders”.
On one bleak day when Gran felt so along in the world, I tried to think of ways to cheer her up.
I did some googling and found an email address to the Cardinal himself and also to his secretary.

I wrote a long email asking of “Bishop Anders” would be willing to send her a card to remind her the church hasn’t forgotten her.
I didn’t expect an answer but later that same night, his secretary responded and it turned out she used to know my gran quite well.
The Cardinal was in Rome, she said, but he would probably look at the email when he got back.
That night (say 2AM), I got a response from the Cardinal about how well he remembers my Gran, and how much he likes and appreciates her.
A few day later, a lovely little letter with encouraging words and a blessing arrived in the mail.
One funny thing though! He had absolutely dreadful handwriting, so bad we actually send around a picture of it to family members asking them if they could decode it. 😂😂😂

2024.05.19 12:57 Upbeat-Disaster Finally a diagnosis - advice and tips appreciated

So, a few days ago I made a post about finally feeling validated (https://www.reddit.com/ChronicPain/s/OnkDVPyH3J)
2 days ago the doctor I went to gave me a call after looking through my exams results and I finally have a diagnosis.
The cause of all my symptoms for years is fibromyalgia, he also said I have low vitamin D and prescribed some and said to get in contact on 6 months to check the vitamin D levels again, but if I need something to contact earlier.
He said the the good news is that it not a degenerative disease and the bad news is that it's not well understood so no cure and has far as meds go it will be trial and error.
He said he'd prefer that I try natural copping mechanisms for now but he's available to work a treatment plan with meds...
He said for now to try and exercise and lose some weight (a bit overweight and high cholesterol), but to do it slowly because he knows loosing weight is not easy...
So, any advice on starting exercises when you're in pain? Any advice or tips to manage it before resorting to meds?

Okay so after some searching, I felt like this was my only option. I’ve thought about this particular story for years since I first listened to it with my dad in the car somewhere around 2015-2018, and I’d like to find and read it for myself.
The details from the story I remember are quite fuzzy, but they basically entail some guy running in the woods from this creature, coming across a large fancy house in the middle of it where the lady inside invites them in, feeds them, and gives them a place to stay. A little while later, the protagonist ends up going down a laundry chute to the basement, which has a corpse or corpses inside. Protag confronts her, where she tells them her name is Calypso, but to call her Callie. Because protag knows about her cannibalism, she tries to kill them.
I tried my best with the formatting, as well as what I remembered of the story, but I hope it’s workable, and I hope some answers may be found. Thank you to those who are able to help!

So to keep it as general as possible, I have decided that I want to become somewhat of a permanent resident here. It is almost my fourth year here in general and soon my third year of teaching.
I’ve done some research into F-5, but I’ve also heard about D-10.
I am intermediate Korean and can easily pass the first two levels of TOPIK (just been extremely lazy to go sit for the test for an updated certificate) and am planning on staying until I’ve taught for a solid five years. I do plan on taking about six months break afterwards back in my home country. Also, I understand that I still need to sit through that Korean culture program and what not, which is fine.
Is there anything else that I should be looking out for or things that “they don’t tell you” that I should be aware of for this route?
Any tips, insight, etc., is welcomed!
I’m not looking for negativity or any “why would you want to stay here” type of comments, so feel free to keep that to yourself. ^{^}

Worked at Nottingham British School, in Jleeb. Genuinely the worst school I've taught at.
Ownership: Here is where the murkiness and shadiness begins. The owner on paper is a Kuwaiti man, but the real owner is an Egyptian. The former is at best an accessory to criminality, the latter is devoid of morals and a thug. The Egyptian owner has lied, stolen, intimidated and threatened staff on a regular basis. He shouldn't be near a school. The Kuwaiti one acts holier than thou, but is part of the problem. They have children in the school and they are treated like royalty, they will bully staff and students and their will be no consequences because they will run to daddy.
Management: Inept, corrupt and spineless. They are habitual liars and will sell you the moon only to stab you in the back and then play victim. They have no clue how to manage a school, they are in these positions because they are slippery enough to throw actual good teachers under the bus and sabotage them infront of parents.
Resources: There are none. No systems. No SIMs. No SoW or SoL. No CPD. No labs that actually work or items for experiments. You're on your own and many times you won't even be able to get a board pen without the Spanish inquisition taking place.
Curriculum: Watered down. Dumbed down. No real education happens in this 'School'. It's an exam centre where tutors will leak answers and then charge students for them. Criminals.
Parents: Majority of the parents will target teachers and expect you to pass their children despite failing. Many expect you to award full marks because they were able to write their name on the paper. They will target teachers if you do not cave in to their unrealistic demands. Not every student can get 100%, that's not realistic, it's better having a real indication of your level than having a fake one because you bullied teachers.
Accommodation: Cockroach infested, mould, tiny apartments that were actually broken down from.larger living Accommodations so the Egyptian owner can save money at the expense of his teachers (as usual)
Overall, if you get an offer from this place, RUN. Do not even entertain it, they will genuinely ruin your mental health and then blame you. It's happened to countless teachers. Don't make the same mistake... RUN.
TL;DR: Stay away from Nottingham British School.

Hi all, I am looking for some candid advice about what you would do in my position!
Currently I am weighing up how to qualify as a solicitor. I have A*AA A-levels and graduated in 2020 with a first from a RG, and then completed the PGDL with a high distinction. I then went on to work as a paralegal in a city firm, a role which I have been in since.
I have applied multiple years for TCs, and the furthest I got is one assessment centre for a silver circle firm. On my feedback they essentially said they had no bad feedback, I simply ranked 11th and they took 10. They said my (correct) answers could have been slightly longer but otherwise everything else was exemplary. I’ve never progressed further than a video interview in any other application.
Therefore, when the option to self-qualify via the SQE became more widespread I decided to take it and have been self-studying since (aiming to sit SQE 1 in Jan). I am close to the junior associates at my firm and they all say that the level of paralegal work I do is at a higher level than their trainee work was and I have enough experience to do their roles. My work includes attending client meetings, producing first drafts of pleadings etc. I also love the area of law the firm practices in and want practice it once qualified, so I am confident that I have strong QWE.
However, from speaking to people more widely (including partners at my firm), I am more and more getting the impression that I am really going to struggle finding an NQ role. My firm say that there is no guarantee on a job offer at the end. I will apply when they open applications once a year to the wider masses, and given that every associate they already have is from a magic /silver circle firm I know the competition is going to be strong. (They don’t offer TCs at all)
So, I am now wondering if I should pause studying and give TCs another go? Realistically, working full time I only have the capacity to do one or the other to a high standard.I have a strong academic background and the firm I work for has a brilliant reputation so hopefully I will be successful in TC applications, but on the other hand taking the SQE would be much quicker as I already have the 2 years QWE.

Just your standard tatted up metal loving alternative irish fella, chasing the dream whilst living out his 90's kid childhood through video games, television and movies. Honestly I don't think I'm ever going to feel like I have reached a level of Adult where I feel like I have my shit together.

I am a big fan for space sims, i cant describe in words the joy i feel when i play space games.
So I recently achieved some level of financial freedom and was looking into buying this game. I have some questions whose answer I want to hear from you, the actual players, not some "game journalist".

Is it worth it if you only play mouse and keyboard?
What is the difference between base and deluxe editions?
Is it like live service game where you have keep paying regularly to actually play the game or I can just buy it once and keep playing as long as servers run?
Also, are microtransactions a necessity to enjoy the game?

Edit: 1 more question, I am from South East Asia, so are there any servers near me? and how is the connection?
