I'm 20m, I had a pretty rough upbringing... Clichés and all. Things got better when I was 16-ish and I bagged some good grades in college. I'm quite "smart", I was on Mensa's list as a kid. However, I just can't do it anymore.
I can't wake up, I can't even consistently brush my teeth. Every time I open up my Uni textbooks I just want to die. I feel empty all the time, nothing brings me happiness. Whenever I do feel happy, it's only for a moment then I feel a deep solemness followed by apathy. I don't see the point in continuing because no amount of money or any job would make me happy. I can't care for myself so I still live at home, but my existence does nothing but cause arguments.
I'm pretty sure I fell into a romance scam too and was groomed, I've been waiting for my girlfriend (online) to turn 18 so we can video chat and meet up, but she said no. We've been online dating for 6 years, since I was 14. I don't know what to do because I don't want anybody else, I hate the idea of "moving on". I don't even care if she's a 60yo man, I'd rather that than "move on". I don't even know if the person I'm talking to and have confided in during all the abuse I've suffered is a catfish... What even is the point anymore?
I don't want anything. There's nothing out there for me. It's not even a case of I can't get what I want, I just don't want it. Money, fame, power... I could have it all. I'm studying a good degree, I'm very charismatic, I'm a good directoleader... But I don't care which pisses me off even more.
Why? Just why? I have everything. I have the power to do everything but my stupid brain won't let me be happy about anything. Nothing. The only thing that brings a smile to my face is the possibility of dying and seeing this mundane existence cease to exist.
The only thing I want right now is to find out if I was being catfished. If anything was real, it probably wouldn't change much... I don't even know how to find out. It just feels so much easier to kill myself but I don't even have the balls to do that.

I made a post here yesterday seeking advice for my undiagnosed and untreated PE and the issues it has likely been causing me. Thanks to the support from the lovely people on here, I am planning to get the ball rolling and seek medical attention for it.
I am based in England and unfortunately going the private route is financially impossible for me (broke uni student w very little family support).
That leaves me with the NHS as my only option. What concerns me is that there seems to be little info online about treatment options under the NHS, or whether i will be able to access it at all. I guess the first step will be to see my GP.
Any advice or experiences from people who have sought treatment under the NHS would be super appreciated <3

Lemme explain
For TPOT standards the episode is even worse. Even tho the Four and X return was impactful it was also fan serviced. The way DPA lost was -75293 IQ. Instead of making a normal meal for two they decided to bring a fish back to life and give two a LIVING FISH. The S loss was also dumb if yellow face could generate more ingredients or something else. The writing style is very goofy and fast paced for TPOT. especially when two is judging eveyrones dishes it just goes so fast. No character arcs are brought up like winner and clock or robot flower literally betraying her own team. No one on AYO or TSTOE talks about it. The way puffball just forgives golfball is 💀Puffball is one of the most aggressive and vengeful characters. The cake at stake isnt dramatic at all. The things the folders say are also very goofy for TPOT. Team8s scenes were all lame. There’s so much random stuff like the bugs in golf balls factory, the weird slide thing Just Not went down etc. No one on the S got mad at rocky except for clock when he got eliminated. Tear drop was so boring this episode all she did was run around and chase chocolate balls. The only good thing I can think of is drunk tree which was funny.
The more I watch this episode the worse it gets. The fact that this episode was Premiered LIVE at a meetup makes it even worse. Thanks for reading

Fall of the Dungeon Guardians is a grid based dungeon crawler developed by Mana Games. Released in 2015, Dungeon Guardians asks us, "What if World of Warcraft dungeons were really big? Like, REALLY big?"
We play as an unfortunate group of souls who have been tasked with guarding a prison. What was supposed to be a boring job to pay the bills is now a fight for our lives as nefarious forces begin their work.
DG is a blobber. You control a group of four characters that are perpetually stuck together (hence, blob) as you move about a grid based dungeon. Solve puzzles, murder goblins and dragons, get sweet phat lewtz and try not to stand in the fire too much.
The Good
The sheer amount of customization in how you play the game is pretty amazing for how small the team is. Between the in game options and the small but active community that knows how to mod the game you can customize it pretty easily. I disliked that bosses dropped the same loot as normal enemies and lo and behold you can configure how much they drop and the quality of it by editing a few lines in an .ini file.
I also appreciate that while the combat is real time, it doesn't require you to do the 'square dancing' that you see in games like Vaporium or Grimrock. You're expected to stay toe to toe. Combat is well balanced around this which is impressive. We've all played RPGs where by mid/end game nothing is a threat anymore but here everything even up to the last boss remains an acceptable challenge. That being said...
The Bad
Anybody remember playing World of WarCraft circa 2006 and how combat involved staring at your action bars waiting for cooldowns? Yeah. That's here. Fortunately you can queue up 6 attacks in a row (3 by default, but you can up it to 6 in options which I strongly recommend). Even still, most fights require constantly watching for buffs to fall off, timing your cooldowns, waiting for stacking abilities and keeping an eye on what the enemy is casting so that you can interrupt big power attacks.
I honestly can't remember what most bosses looked like because I was so focused on my action bars the entire fight. Even with active pause I was having flash backs to raiding in WoW and how my life was watching bars fill up and debuffs count down. Game needs a trigger warning for former raid healers.
The Ugly
Loot falls into that +more gooder cycle. No interesting choices to be made as each class has an obvious best stat to focus on and if the loot that drops doesn't have that particular stat it's garbage. Due to the random nature, you can end up never replacing some items leaving your character feeling underpowered.
Fortunately you can save scum loot. Loot is generated at time of death. If you're having bad luck getting an item, you can save right before an elite/boss dies and just reload until you get an actual upgrade.
Final Thoughts
The puzzles are fun to figure out, the dungeon layouts are well done and the various boss fights are interesting to figure out even if the combat does involve staring at action bars. Dungeon Guardian is another in the ever growing line of "If you like RPGs but aren't familiar with gridders, go play Grimrock 2, Bards Tale 4 and Operencia first. If you now like the genre, then this is an easy pickup."
Interesting Game Facts
The lead developer is super active on the Steam forums for his game. It's been 9 years and he's still answering questions daily. He's active on Reddit as well though he mostly makes Tennis simulation games these days. Turns out sim-Tennis is more profitable than building dungeon crawlers.

Reflections:
I'm super grateful and happy with my decisions. I have committed to Princeton, and it definitely is the best fit for me. College results this year were very random, but I couldn’t be more thankful to get into the #1 undergraduate university. I was worried that since most of my application was MIT-related (Research, classes, Letters of Rec, Awards, Activities), other universities would think I was going there and reject me. College results were super random and stressful, but it worked out better than I could have ever imagined. It's funny how I got waitlisted and rejected from all my target schools (Vandy, UMich, USC) but then got into most of my reach schools.
Advice for Future Applicants:
Be authentic. There is no formula that gets you in. Sure, you have to do a couple of things like getting good grades and SAT scores and having some unique activities and awards, but especially for Top 10 schools, you just have to be unique and authentic. I didn't have any connections or background (like private school and college counselor) that provided me with opportunities. I was literally the first kid ever from my school to get into Princeton. I was authentic and hardworking, did stuff I enjoyed, and one thing led to another. I also spent a lot of time on essays and my application. 50% of the work is actually doing stuff, and the other 50% is showcasing it in your college application. Also, have balance in life. I had a lot of fun in high school and enjoyed the stuff I did. Live life with no regrets. Feel free to DM me.

Zoom out and the totality of this Thunder season is a significant success. Their rebuild hit warp speed. They jumped from the Play-In bracket to 57 wins and the top seed in the loaded West. Their star, Gilgeous-Alexander, finished second in MVP voting and then produced in the playoffs at a level (30.2 points on 50/43/79 shooting splits) that further legitimized his standing as an alpha star on a contender.
But playoff runs reveal warts, and this core’s first postseason together surfaced blemishes and generated questions.

Giddey:

The Mavericks cross-matched their centers onto Giddey whenever he was on the floor in this series and parked them in the paint, unafraid that Giddey could burn them over the top. He didn’t. Giddey went 3-of-16 on 3s in the series and the Thunder lost his court time by 23 points.
Daigneault responded swiftly. They anticipated the Mavericks’ scheme and limited Giddey to 17, 11, 13, 12, 12 and 11 minutes in the six games, his six lowest minute totals since December. He didn’t start the second half of Games 2 and 4. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Isaiah Joe in Games 5 and 6.

Offensive stagnation:

Daigneault and the Thunder said they felt they lost the series between Games 2 through 5 when the offense hit the skids. The Mavericks packed the paint egregiously, sagging off Giddey, Dort, Wiggins, Wallace and even Holmgren. They collectively went cold from 3. Holmgren went 6-of-27 from 3 in the series. The ball stagnated. They couldn’t get into the paint. They struggled to adjust.
The Thunder stopped involving Dort and Wallace and other guards in some of the screen action, which had clogged the flow. Holmgren spent much of Game 6 in the dunker spot, freeing him for some lobs. They collectively attacked with more decisiveness and rediscovered their drive-and-kick game. They had their best offensive night of the series in the elimination game. But it was too late.

Bear with me, because this is going to be a long one:
So, I have been working for this company for about a year and one of the reasons I decided to work for them is because they also make courses for teacher development purposes, such as TEFL certificates and even certifications to make teachers eligible for courses.
The training process was super nice, the trainer was friendly, and she always made sure to make us feel comfortable in the company UNTIL she presented us to our manager.
Our manager is a lady whom I will identify as Corinne, who has been years in the business and she is someone who you can learn a lot from, actually. Our trainer kept repeating how much she is a good person, which I found odd. Then, I decided to ask her a question to say if my availability was up to the company's standards (they demand a 5-hour availability but it's up to them how many classes they are going to give you) and she said it was not good and then "I see a few hours available here and there, but we don't work that way. We want more from you. Then she started some panicking talk saying that she would let us know who got the job and who didn't (everyone in my training team made it).
Okay, so she hasn't been much of a problem for a long time, but eventually she would pop in my messages with poor soft skills saying "Hey Harambisha, your student said your class is boring. Do what you can to make this engaging." and I explained the situation that actually the company paired an A1 level with a B2 level (the A1 level used a translator in his placement test) and I couldn't get both to talk with each other because there was a clear level gap, so I was only able to do exercises only. Then she said, "Yeah but we can't assign private classes now, so you should make it more conversational."
But the most recent and terrible incident was when I had to cancel a class (with a 30-minute notice) because I had a blackout and unfortunately those are things that happen, as much as we don't want them to. I am from a country where it isn't a frequent occurrence, so I never considered doing something too big about it.
Then, weeks later she got back to me saying "We cannot tolerate last-minute cancellations. You should be more professional and tell us in advance if you are not going to teach a class." then I explained kindly how I am not able to predict these problems and it was a very unlikely scenario, apart from the fact that I want to work and get paid for it (duh), to which she said "yeah, but you are an online teacher, so you should have a generator to back you up" and honestly, that kind of tool is too expensive plus it is unnecessary for me, given that we don't have frequent power outages in my country".
After this, I have been telling people about this story to see if I was really unprofessional or if she is really the crazy one, but these people aren't teachers, so I'd like to ask you: is Corinne an abusive manager, should I get used to it as it is how the business goes or what?

Hello, I'm still new to DnD and I've been very lucky to learn as a player with some friends online.
However, my partner is quite interested in getting into DnD so I'm running DoSI for him as his DM. It's just the two of us, but it's going pretty well so far! I'm wary of how short DoSI is, and I want to link it to another campaign because he's spent so much time creating a developed character.
I've been thinking of merging it with Tyranny of Dragons and I was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice with this?
I thought of introducing his character to the dragon cultists below the island as they try to resurrect Sharruth. Whether he's able to stop them or if the cultists succeed, the encounter would somehow link him to Greenest for Hoard of the Dragon Queen.
Do you think the jump from DoSI to ToD would be too much for a new DM, and does anyone have any experience/tips linking these campaigns together?
