"Gargoyles" tells the tale of a clan of noctutrnal creatures by the same name who forge an unlikely bond with a human detective in 1990's New York City and beyond. The series is credited for its relatively dark tone, complex story arcs and melodrama. Character arcs were heavily employed throughout the series, as were Shakespearean themes.

2024.05.19 14:36 Praxius To the Trap Camp Owner, there's a difference between Street Thug & Super Villain.

I can see a trap camp a mile away, and think of them as a challenge. Today, not only was I able to bypass a trap camp by using a workbench through a window, but I thought I'd test the obvious trap using light footed & got me through without dying too. before I bought anything to show I was there and got through, I saw they had a shelter.
I proceeded to turn off every single light source they had at their camp and then went inside their shelter to do the exact same thing and turn everything off.
Fun Fact: Once you're inside a shelter, the owner can't kick you out. If they store or delete the shelter entrance, you remain inside. If they swap camps, you remain inside. They have to log out to kick you out.
3 shelters later, I went back to the vendors and bought an interesting legendary for 35k. They quickly swapped camps or swapped servers. So maybe I did blow 35k of caps on one item and they only made 6000 caps & capped out. It could always be worse. Oh wait, that's right. It is worse.
When they return to their camp, they have to manually turn every single light back on. There's no way around it other than scrapping/building again, which seems a bit extreme and would take ever so slightly longer to do.
🖐️🤪🤚 But wait! There's more! Every light in every shelter has to be turned back on, one by one. Swapping camps ain't gonna fix that since they all share the same shelters. Jumping servers doesn't reset the lights back on either.
And if I'm ever so slightly bored in the future and see the user name again on another server, and the camp is the same trap camp, then I'll just merely run a silo and swipe a card... Then wait.
Wait for a Public Event. Radiation Rumble would be most preferred. Something in an instanced location, where a player would be knowingly safe from a nuke. Wait for them to join the event and then wait a couple of more minutes for the event to be truly underway & they're a little occupied. Knowing you yourself can't be Nuked and with your hands full, one assumes it's one of the three bosses and don't check..... Launch.
9 times out of 10, that's a camp strike and a repair. With any luck, they only lit their camp back up between now and then, but maybe they still get to discover the shelters are still out after the repair. 💀 (Skeletor Laughs) Neh'Eh'ah'ah'ah'a'a'aaaaaa.
Now, I imagine some of you by now are thinking, "This is ever so petty." It sure is. But I'm also not the one out there trying to kill other players to take some petty junk. Or worse: selling flux, someone buys the flux, they're killed by the owner that just took their caps & now just took their flux to pop back into their vendor and resell to the next sucker.
🤔 Do you really care if someone is petty to someone like that? Yeah, poor them. And maybe it's a waste of time. It is indeed. But it's also my time to waste, isn't it? If I'm waiting for the next interesting thing to do, I gotta make something interesting in the meantime.
🤨 At least Dr Zorbo would approve.

2024.05.19 14:25 AustinElliott99 A lot of stupid reviews lately..

Our store is usually one that always gets great reviews from our customers. The front store mainly, the pharmacy score is struggling lmao. But this last month has been filled with really pointless and ridiculous reviews that have significantly dropped our score way down. It started early this month when a lady wrote in stating that I went up to her and purposely grabbed her ass which is not what happened at all. The lady in question had bent over to grab something on the bottom shelf as I walked by and my hand had rubbed against it while I wasn't paying attention. The second review was from some politically brainwashed Karen who was upset that CVS sells Prime drinks and is boycotting every grocery store that sells Prime. A third review came in from an older man claiming he couldn't find anything he wanted because our layout was different from his home store. I know for a fact this was on him because I make sure we greet and offer help to each person as soon as they step foot through the door. That's one reason our scores are usually really high. And the last review from yesterday was because of our yellow tags covering up all of the vitamins. Which this one I can understand because it is difficult sometimes to see shit and they get in the way a lot. So I understand their frustration with the tags. But I don't feel that that needed to be a review. Has anyone else been experiencing just random and dumb reviews lately?

2024.05.19 14:25 mywritingit [RF] Then and Now

As she lets me in, the real estate agent says that I am responsible to return the house to its original condition for the new tenants, otherwise the landlord will hire professional cleaners and claim the bond to cover the cost. She threatens to pursue the estate if the bond money does not cover the clean. I don’t know what gave her the idea that there is an estate.
‘A good family would do at least that much for each other, wouldn’t they? I’m sure there is lots of family… treasures in there you’d like to keep safe.’ she says, but I can see the disgust on her face as she discovers the state of the house. My stomach drops and squeezes my throat as her words bring back the guilt from our phone call.
Seeing this place makes me pity them. They had nothing. Why had I been so angry with them?
The agent was able to find me because legislation requires real estate agencies to have a next of kin for tenants. My parents nominated me as next of kin. Hearing that made me feel guilty. There was nobody else they could nominate.
I don’t reply to the agent and stare into the house. Roots of overgrown junk seek out space across the floor and holes in the wall break up the colour scheme of brown dirts, grey/green moulds, and black holes. One hole must be above a horizontal wall stud because a bottle of rum is sticking out at a 3 o’clock angle from it with its lid off.
The agent continues to talk, walks away to her car, and then drives away. At least, I assume she did when I finish staring into the house.
I walk through the house and open the door to my bedroom. It is the same as I left it years ago. The mattress festers, the walls remember cigarettes, and stains remain the only decoration. It hasn’t changed since I was born.
I know that there are thousands of events that make me who I am, but there a few which I like to remind myself of. I like to remind myself of absorbing the project slides of ENGIN103: Engineering for Transit and dreaming about what it would feel like to ride a train route that I had designed. I like to remind myself of arriving for an internship at Foley and Sons and not leaving until 10pm, so that I could see the nightworks for the motorway. I like to remind myself of sitting with Foley as he assigned me as project manager for the tunnel across the river. Last month, I apologised for the project issues so far.
“Projects have issues. That's why there is a project manager. We are lucky to have you,” he said.
I like to remind myself of that.
This house makes me remember what I don’t remind myself of. I remember my mother telling me that nobody she knew was smart enough to be an engineer and refusing to drive me to campus because it would be a waste of her time. I remember getting a sore back at 21 from having to study on my bed and staying at university all day so that I had a space to study. I remember studying on the 90-minute bus commute with only a single ham and cheese sandwich for lunch that sometimes made me sick because the fridge wasn’t cold enough at home. I remember my father telling me that I, “Don't know shit,” and that I would be dead in a week if I moved out in a housing crisis when I said being closer to university would be good for me.
A lump in my throat forms and it brings back a memory where I cannot speak, “You have one new message. Message received today at 8:55 PM. I knew you could do it. Looking good in those grad pics that Auntie Shirley posted. Let me kn–Message deleted. You have no more messages.”
Couldn’t I even text them back?
I pull my old bed out from against the wall, and it rattles the room as it grips the old timber flooring. There is still a loose floorboard. I pry up with a key and part the old collection of junk which I had stored over the years. I see a single scrunched up piece of paper. I pry it out of its ball and see the floor through numerous holes chewed out by rats. This is my first academic transcript. I showed this to my family after finishing my first semester of engineering. It reads that I was in the awarded a certificate for academic achievement after scoring in the top 5% of the grade. I had never worked so hard for anything. I had never achieved anything. My eyes swell with tears, and I hear them laughing, ‘Lot of good that does us. They only accept money at the grocery store.’
My guilt returns to anger.
I knew it was right then and I remember it now.
I turn around and I leave.

🔗Royal 100Cx Portable Battery/AC Powered Cash Register

As a small business owner, I've been on the hunt for a reliable, portable cash register to make sales easier at my farmer's market stand. The Royal 100Cx, with its compact design and battery-powered operation, has been a reliable companion for me. The automatic tax computation feature is a game-changer, allowing me to easily manage sales and taxes on-the-go. However, the initial setup can be a bit daunting, and the manual doesn't do a fantastic job of explaining everything.
The preset department pricing and sales analysis by category of merchandise are standout features that have helped me keep track of inventory and sales trends. It's crucial for businesses like mine, where inventory and sales fluctuate frequently. The ink roll printer provides a receipt printout, providing a professional touch to every transaction.
In terms of drawbacks, one thing to note is that the tax computation is limited to only four rates – VAT, Canadian, and a couple of others – which may not cater to everyone's business needs. However, for my small farm market business, it's more than sufficient.
Overall, the Royal 100Cx is a dependable piece of hardware, and it's been a significant asset in streamlining my sales process. It may have a slightly steep learning curve, but once mastered, it's a powerful tool for any small business seeking a portable, autonomous cash register solution.

🔗Casio SE-S800 1-Sheet Thermal Cash Register, 3000 PLUs, 20 Department Keys, 10-Line LCD Operator Display

https://preview.redd.it/brge474rfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f0a868bdeebde4c9fa4dace5dded07ca7a38ad7
The Casio SE-S800 Cash Register is like your best buddy in the world of retail transactions. It's sleek, easy to use, and man, does it make life simpler! Imagine scanning items effortlessly and having that 10-line LCD display help you verify transactions—no more slip-ups! Plus, it comes with a two-line pop-up rear display for customers to see the price and subtotal, which is perfect for keeping them in the loop about their purchases.
But don't let its good looks fool you! It might not be the easiest thing to program, especially if you're not a tech person. You might find yourself on the phone with customer service more than you'd like. And, oh boy, they just love decimals! But once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing.
One more thing, make sure you get the right paper, because it doesn't play well with just any thermal paper. But overall, if you need a reliable way to manage your sales and keep your customers happy, the SE-S800 is a solid choice.

🔗Casio SR-S820-BK Thermal Print Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/n5ozmt8rfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=db3103fb2c53dbe851f1f963fc7b1f5683b8af96
I recently got the chance to use the Casio SR-S820-BK Thermal Print Cash Register in my small café, and I must say it's been quite a ride. The thermal printer is a game-changer for us, as it allows us to generate receipts and track our sales activity with ease. The 25 standard department keys have been incredibly helpful in categorizing our various products, and the 10-line LCD display makes it super easy to check on customer transactions.
One of the things that stand out about this cash register is its ability to be mobile. As a café owner, I love that I can move it around to different areas of my store, depending on my needs. The built-in receipt printer also helps us provide a more professional service to our customers.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I've noticed during my time using this cash register. For starters, the software that comes with it could use a bit more functionality. Additionally, some users have reported having issues with the blue tooth connectivity, which can be quite frustrating.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the Casio SR-S820-BK Thermal Print Cash Register. It has definitely made my life a lot easier when it comes to managing transactions and keeping track of sales. If you're in the market for a new cash register, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗Casio SEG1SC Thermal Print Cash Register, Pink

https://preview.redd.it/712sb1krfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=815375953b151b8f3790b757c2a63de19d6ee756
I recently purchased the Casio SEG1SC Thermal Print Cash Register in a striking pink color. It's perfect for my small boutique and fits our vibrant theme perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up and get running. The large LCD display is incredibly clear, making it straightforward to input prices and manage product sales.
One of my favorite features is the quiet thermal printer. It doesn't disrupt the ambiance of my store like our old, noisy register did. Plus, the anti-bacterial keyboard is a great added touch for hygiene.
However, I did find that the plastic casing feels a bit flimsy compared to more substantial cash registers. And while the instructions were mostly comprehensive, I did have to resort to YouTube tutorials for some aspects of programming.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The Casio SEG1SC Cash Register not only looks great in my store but also helps streamline our billing process. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable, affordable cash register.

🔗Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register

I recently got my hands on the Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my business. With its 10-line LCD display, it's incredibly easy for me to check the current transaction and eliminate errors. The raised keyboard with 30 department key locations makes inputting data a breeze. Plus, with the built-in pop-up customer display, I can ensure my customers always know exactly what they're paying for.
One of my favorite features of this cash register is the ability to customize receipts with a graphic logo or programmable top and bottom messages, adding a personal touch to each transaction. The heavy-duty metal cash drawer provides more than enough space for five bill compartments and five coin compartments, making it perfect for a busy retail environment.
However, there are a few drawbacks that I've noticed during my time using this product. The instructions provided for programming the cash register could be more clear, leaving some users (like myself) scratching their heads at certain points. Additionally, while the register performs well overall, I have found that there can be some issues with the tape feeding, which can be frustrating at times.
All in all, the Casio PCR-T2300 Electronic Cash Register has proven to be a reliable and efficient addition to my business operations. With its user-friendly design and robust feature set, it's definitely worth considering for any small retailer or grocer looking to streamline their cash-handling processes.

🔗Casio PCR-T2300 Thermal Cash Register with 10-Line LCD & Dual-Tape Receipt

https://preview.redd.it/154iy99sfd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=624e9df45ee9940f5d17ef69a3d158a4c110e6a6
I've been using the Casio PCR-T2300 Thermal Printer Cash Register in my small retail store for the past month, and I must say, it's made a significant difference in my day-to-day operations. The dual-tape thermal system ensures quick and error-free transactions while the 10-line LCD display keeps both me and the customer informed about the ongoing purchase.
One of the standout features of this cash register is its flexibility. The 30 department keys can be preset with specific prices or left open for manual entry, allowing me to adapt to the ever-changing needs of my store. Additionally, with up to 7,000 PLUs available, tracking individual item sales has never been easier.
Customization is another strong suit of this cash register. I can add a graphic logo to our receipts, program top and bottom messages, and even adjust each item's description for detailed reporting. Plus, the heavy-duty metal cash drawer provides ample space for organizing bills and coins, making it easier to manage my funds.
However, the instruction manual left something to be desired. Some steps were not as clear as I would have liked, requiring me to seek help on YouTube for more advanced programming functions. Nonetheless, overall, the Casio PCR-T2300 has been a reliable and efficient addition to my store, helping streamline my operations and improve customer experience.

I have been using the Sharp XE-A102 Electronic Cash Register for a start-up retail business, and it's been a reliable and efficient partner. The compact design allows it to fit easily in our small store, and the bright LED display makes it easy for us and our customers to see the transaction details. The 8 departments feature helps us organize our inventory, and the 80 PLU/Items capacity allows us to input all our products without issues.
One of the standout features of this cash register is its ability to accept different payment methods like cash, cheque, and credit card, which has made it easy for us to cater to our customers' preferred payment options. Additionally, the time and date display feature ensures that our transactions are accurate and timely.
However, there are a few minor drawbacks to the Sharp XE-A102. It can be a little noisy and slow compared to some other cash registers, which may be an issue during peak hours when we need to serve customers quickly. Moreover, the instructions provided are quite small, making them difficult to read and follow.
Overall, the Sharp XE-A102 Electronic Cash Register has been an excellent addition to our start-up retail business. Its compact design, 58 mm wide reliable printing, and ability to accept multiple payment methods make it a valuable tool for any small retailer. While it may have a few minor issues, the majority of users, including myself, are satisfied with its performance and recommend it to others.

I recently added the Sharp XE Series Electronic Cash Register to my tiny boutique store, and I couldn't be happier. Before settling on this model, I spent a lot of time researching various cash registers, but the XE Series stood out for its advanced sales reporting capabilities and seamless tie-in with QuickBooks Pro. The moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sleek, professional appearance and built-in SC card slot for easy connectivity and data back-up.
Setting up the register was incredibly easy, and within just a few hours, it was ready to go. Its intuitive interface made training my employees a breeze. The thermal printer was a pleasant surprise; it's much quieter and faster than traditional receipt printers. Plus, the customizable receipts with graphics and logos definitely give my store a professional edge.
One of my favorite features is the automatic tax system, which not only saves time but also reduces the potential for errors and makes reporting so much easier. The locking drawer ensures security and comes with multiple bill and coin compartments, making deposits a lot more organized.
The only downside is the rather complicated user manual, which could definitely be improved. It's not a complete deal breaker, though, as there are plenty of helpful YouTube tutorials available online.
All in all, I'm thrilled with my purchase of the Sharp XE Series Electronic Cash Register. It's a perfect fit for my small business and a real game-changer when it comes to streamlining sales transactions and accounting. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cash register to anyone running a small retail or service business.

I recently discovered the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register while searching for a reliable and feature-rich solution for my little grocery store. After trying it out, I must say it's exceeded my expectations.
The first thing that impresses anyone who lays their eyes on it is the sleek eight-line display. It's not just a pretty face though; it's got brains as well with 7000 Price Lookups (PLU's), allowing quick and accurate entry. The inclusion of 99 departments is brilliant as it makes managing diverse product types a breeze.
My favorite feature? Hands down, the microban keytops. They provide built-in antimicrobial protection, keeping those pesky germs at bay, which is particularly important given the current health situation. And let's not forget about the large 32GB SD card slot for computer connectivity and data storage.
However, there were a few hiccups too. The lack of French documentation was a letdown for me, a French-speaking Canadian. Plus, a few customers have reported missing parts upon delivery, making the product unusable.
So, while there are some minor issues, the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register has overall been a reliable and efficient addition to my store. It's fast, easy to set up, and offers more than enough features for most small businesses. If you're looking for a cash register that combines modern tech with dependability, this might just be the one for you.

🔗Clover Station POS System with Cash Register

I recently picked up the Clover Station POS System for my little cafe, and it's been quite the rollercoaster ride. Imagine a sleek, brushed aluminum body with a 11.6" touchscreen display that's as responsive as a well-trained puppy. Sounds appealing, right? Well, it is. But let's dive a little deeper.
First off, the touchscreen is large and bright, perfect for both me and my customers to navigate. The high-resolution camera embedded within the system makes scanning barcodes or QR codes a breeze, which is super helpful for keeping track of inventory. Plus, the swivel arm swivels smoothly between my side and the customer's, making transactions feel seamless and personal.
However, there have been some hiccups. For one, the single power source for the display and printer can create a tangled mess of cords, especially when you're trying to juggle other peripherals. And while the connectivity options (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth) are great, I sometimes find myself struggling with Wi-Fi lags.
Moreover, the customer service has proven to be quite the challenge. You see, I bought the Clover Station from a seller who didn't provide much support. When things went awry, I was left to figure it out on my own. Needless to say, getting in touch with their customer service has been a nightmare. It feels like they're speaking a different language sometimes, and getting a call back is as rare as a winning lottery ticket.
Despite these cons, I still find the Clover Station POS System useful for my small cafe. It's a stylish, reliable system that offers a range of features and connectivity options. However, be prepared for the occasional frustration and confusion, especially when it comes to their customer service.
In conclusion, the Clover Station POS System is a mixed bag. While it boasts a sleek design, large touchscreen, and versatile connectivity options, it also has its fair share of challenges, such as the messy cords and difficult customer service. I'd recommend this product for businesses looking for a stylish and reliable POS system, but be prepared to face a few hurdles along the way.

The Sharp XE Series Cash Register is a game-changer for small businesses. When I first got my hands on this baby, I was blown away by the speedy thermal printing on standard 2-1/4 inch rolls. The eight-line operator display made it incredibly easy to use, and I found myself making fewer mistakes than ever before.
One of the standout features was the advanced reporting capabilities that seamlessly integrated with QuickBooks Pro. This made keeping track of my sales and inventory a breeze, and it saved me a ton of time when tax season came around. The built-in SD card slot was also a lifesaver, allowing me to quickly connect to my computer for programming, backup, and reporting.
Adding graphics and text to receipts was a fun way to personalize my business, and the automatic tax system made my life so much easier. However, there were a few cons that I couldn't help but notice. The manual was sorely lacking, which made setting up the register a bit challenging for first-time users like myself. Additionally, the barcode scanner wasn't quite as advanced as I had hoped, but it still got the job done.
Overall, the Sharp XE Series Cash Register has made a significant impact on the way I run my small business. Its speed, advanced reporting features, and personalized receipts have made it an invaluable asset to my daily operations. While there's definitely room for improvement, I'm confident that this is a reliable and efficient cash register for businesses that demand the best.

What is a cash register with a scanner?

A cash register with a scanner is a device used in retail or food service businesses to manage sales transactions, product inventory, and customer payments. The scanner reads barcode information on products sold, enabling quick and accurate processing of purchases.

How does a cash register with a scanner work?

Cash registers with scanners typically have a touch screen interface, which allows users to input sales data and manage transactions. The scanner reads barcode information on products, sending this information to the cash register for processing. Once an item is scanned and its price is validated, the cash register determines the total cost and taxes. The customer can then select a payment method, such as credit/debit card, cash, or mobile payment.

How much does a cash register with a scanner typically cost?

The cost of a cash register with a scanner can vary greatly, depending on several factors such as features, manufacturer, and quality. Basic models may be available for a few hundred dollars or less, while more advanced systems with additional features can cost thousands of dollars. It is recommended to research and compare multiple products to find the best balance between cost and needed functionality for your business's needs.

What is the difference between a cash register with a scanner and a point-of-sale (POS) system?

Although a cash register with a scanner shares some similarities with a point-of-sale (POS) system, the primary difference lies in their functionality and capabilities. A cash register with a scanner is mainly focused on processing transactions and managing inventory, while a POS system typically offers a more comprehensive suite of tools, such as advanced reporting, employee management, and customer relationship management.

How do I maintain and care for my cash register with a scanner?

  • Clean the cash register and scanner regularly, using a soft, non-abrasive cloth and mild electronics cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.
  • Ensure that the cash register is properly ventilated and not exposed to extreme temperatures or moisture to prevent damage.

As a small business owner, I can attest that the Royal 500DX Cash Register has been an absolute game-changer for me. The dual LCD displays provide clear visibility for both the clerk and the customer, making transactions seamless and efficient.
One of the standout features is its capacity to handle up to 2,000 employees, which is more than adequate for a small to medium-sized business. Additionally, the unlimited messaging capability ensures that you won't miss any important announcements or updates. However, the product does feel a bit flimsy due to its predominantly plastic design, which might concern those who prefer a sturdier build.
Another fantastic aspect of this cash register is the 999 Price Look-Ups, allowing for quick processing of transactions. Programming four different tax rates also makes the setup process incredibly straightforward. On the downside, the impact printer, although functional, occasionally feels outdated compared to more advanced models.
Overall, the Royal 500DX Cash Register has proven to be a reliable and user-friendly addition to my small business. Its features cater to my daily needs and have undoubtedly contributed to the efficiency and success of my operations.

🔗Professional XE Series Electronic Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/63z5wl2red1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=838a61378141c4d4aaebc4a889e25d11c1c90157

🔗Casio Single-Tape Thermal Cash Register for Business

https://preview.redd.it/fj9sgulred1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54574ad3b2350fad83a5af4e9ced9b7a3044e6a6
Casio's PCR-T280 is a fantastic single-tape thermal cash register that offers more functionality for medium-sized businesses than entry-level models. With the ability to track up to 1,200 price lookups, it offers a level of specificity in item sales tracking not commonly found in its class. It also allows businesses to track sales up to eight different operators, making it an excellent tool for business tracking and growth.
One of the standout features of this product is its hygienic, antibacterial keyboard. In our current world, where cleanliness is paramount, this characteristic provides a measure of peace of mind for both business owners and customers alike. Furthermore, its multipurpose tray can hold money in four bill compartments and five coin compartments, ensuring the efficient flow of transactions.
The PCR-T280 also boasts a high-speed thermal printer, which can be used either for customer receipts or as a journal printer for recording all the store's activities. Its mode lock with key control feature provides multiple operation positions through physical keys, providing a level of security usually found in more expensive models.
Although it is not touch-screen, its simple and intuitive design makes it easy to program and use. Some users did find the manual a bit difficult to follow, but with a bit of practice, most find it quite manageable. With its ability to handle multiple sales tax needs and its capacity for PLU capabilities, the Casio PCR-T280 has proven itself as a reliable tool for various businesses, small or medium-sized.
However, one minor drawback is the depth of the money/change drawer, which could have been a little deeper for added convenience. Despite this minor issue, the vast majority of users recommend this register for its performance and price point, providing an excellent value for businesses looking for an affordable, reliable cash register solution.

🔗Heavy-Duty Cash Register with Alpha Keyboard and LCD Display

https://preview.redd.it/rgcm3zured1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e90611839a08205344996bd346c4f76bb8e15960
As an avid user of cash registers in my grocery store, I recently discovered the Royal Alpha 1100ml Cash Register, and my experience has been quite satisfactory. This heavy-duty register is perfect for my high-traffic establishment, offering a reliable and swift cash management system that I can always depend on.
The first thing that caught my eye about this cash register was its single fast and quiet alphanumeric thermal printer, capable of handling over 1 million lines. It's been able to keep up with the constant rush of customers, making it a reliable addition to my store.
The large 10-line LCD user display and alpha keyboard ensure easy programming, which was a breeze, even for a beginner like me. The SD Card slot is another excellent feature, enabling efficient accounting data transfers to a PC, a necessity for any modern business.
However, I will say that the software included with the register can be a bit flaky at times. While it is supposed to read the x and z reports that the machine puts on the sd card, I sometimes find myself having to use the sd card to transfer report data manually. Additionally, getting in touch with their tech support doesn't seem to be very helpful, as they often provide no real technical assistance.
Despite these minor issues, the Royal Alpha 1100ml Cash Register has been a solid addition to my store. Its heavy-duty locking cash drawer with four slot bill and removable five slot coin tray, along with its automatic tax computation, has made managing funds and keeping track of sales much easier for me. If you're in need of a reliable cash register for your business, I'd highly recommend giving this one a try.

As a small business owner, I can attest to the convenience of the Royal 435dX Electronic Cash Register in my daily operations. Its 16 departments and 800 PLU's ensure an efficient flow of transactions, while the 8 clerk capacity and 4 tax rates enable seamless management, even for those serving in various locations or catering to international clientele.
One of the highlights of this cash register is the front and rear LCD displays, allowing both the clerk and customer to see each transaction clearly. The memory protection with backup batteries provides added security to safeguard data in case of a power outage, a particularly valuable feature for businesses operating in areas with unpredictable power supply.
However, a minor con would be the single station 57mm impact printer, which could limit the pace of transactions during peak rush hours. Also, the locking cash drawer tends to be a bit cumbersome, requiring more time than necessary to retrieve and return change.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Royal 435dX Electronic Cash Register has significantly improved my business operations, allowing me to keep track of transactions efficiently, even during peak hours. I would recommend this cash register to other small business owners looking for a reliable and feature-rich option that delivers exceptional performance at an affordable price point.

I recently upgraded my old, heavy cash register to the Casio SE-S700, and I must say, it has made running daily transactions a breeze. The built-in rear customer display ensures that prices are accurate, while the 8 department keys and 999 PLUs make it a cinch to organize my inventory.
One of my favorite features is the customizable receipt header, allowing me to print unique messages on each customer receipt. The large, easy-to-read LCD display ensures that no mistakes are made during sales transactions.
However, there are a few cons to consider. The plastic construction doesn't instill much confidence in its durability, and I wish the cash register drawer featured a more secure locking mechanism.
Overall, the Casio SE-S700 has proven to be a reliable and efficient cash register for my small business, saving me time and preventing any hassles when it comes to handling transactions.

I've been using Square Register - Touchscreen Display, Gray for quite a while now, and it's been a game-changer for managing my small grocery store. The system is incredibly intuitive, with a sleek touchscreen display that makes transactions a breeze. The customer display is perfect for keeping lines moving smoothly, and the compact design ensures my countertop stays clutter-free.
One standout feature of the Square Register is its seamless integration with other Square services, like inventory management and customer feedback. This has made it incredibly easy for me to keep track of my stock and stay in touch with my regular customers. Additionally, the hardware is built to last, which is always a plus when you're investing in new equipment.
However, there's one area where Square Register could improve – the lack of customization options. While the system works great out of the box, I sometimes wish I could tweak some settings to better suit my specific needs. Despite this minor flaw, the Square Register - Touchscreen Display, Gray has definitely helped streamline my operations and improve my customers' experience.

I recently purchased the Royal Alpha 583cx Cash Register for my small business, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This little gem has made managing sales transactions a breeze. With 99 departments, 1000 PLUs, 26 clerks, and 4 tax rates, this cash register is fully equipped to handle the needs of any small business.
One of the features that I absolutely love is the alpha numeric single station thermal printer. It not only prints fast but also allows me to customize the receipts with my company's message, making it a great marketing tool. Another great feature is the serial port for PC connection, which lets me use an optional bar code scanner, making the checkout process even smoother.
However, one minor issue I experienced was with the paper feed. It tends to jam at times, but a quick fix usually solves the problem. Additionally, the display that shows the purchase amount could be more visible, especially in bright lighting conditions.

How much can I sell my sv650 for?
I've got a 2002 sv650 and the bike is not in a so good shape. It has cca 60k km, It was converted from faired to naked, I suspect one of the previous owners crashed it. The gauge is aftermarket, fuel level is always showing as full and the headlight is aftermarket. Since I've got it I've fixed up the electronics (the harness was terrible), will probably replace the clutch and brake calipers. Other than that the engine has no problems, from what I've gathered oil changes were done regularly. I'm (potentially) selling it as I want something more comfortable for touring and pillion riding. I was thinking of listing it for 1300€, but I'm willing to go down as low as 900€. It's also important to note I live in Europe. How much can I realistically sell it for? what can I do to make it more sellable?

The programmable design allows me to set up tax rates, discounts, and prices on every product, helping me stay organized and efficient.
One of the features that amazed me was the automatic tax computation. It saves me a lot of time and reduces the margin for error during transactions. Another highlight was the 10-clerk tracking system, making it suitable even for businesses with multiple staff. Plus, the alphanumeric thermal printer is impressive with its quiet performance and excellent print quality.
However, there are a few hiccups. Some users have reported that there are no replacement parts available if anything breaks, which could be troublesome. Additionally, the lack of a slot to accommodate large bills, checks, or slips in the coin drawer made me a bit disappointed.
In conclusion, the Royal 410dx Cash Register is a great addition to any small store or business. Its simplicity, programmability, and exceptional features like tax computation and thermal printing make transactions smoother and more efficient. Despite a few cons, the benefits make it a worthy investment.

2024.05.19 13:37 Certain-Gas-9845 What do you think of this Idea?

Hi Guys, I'm building a SaaS product in a legacy systems space and it looks like it will be a while till we see any money from that . Like any other ADHD founder, I frequently get distracted by other new shiny Ideas and Since Its a sunday I am allowing myself to get distracted .
I've been sitting on this half baked Idea and I need to know what people think about this. I've been thinking about creating a digital dollar store where everything is One Dollar. No subscriptions, no commitment, you can buy what you want for 1 $.
I'm thinking , For 1$, the digital assets I can sell can be of two types, first one can be the ones I personally make - like stickers, illustrations , simple GIFs , Gift Ideas, date ideas, simple guides, podcast recommendations, book recommendations, etc.
Other way is to create it like a marketplace, where people can sell their low effort projects, They get 70 cents, i get 30 cents. Everything is still a Dollar.
I have not run any numbers on if this could work and I don't know if it make sense but it sounds like a fun side project that could make me some money.
For Context - I'm not from USA, so a dollar holds more value for me than it does for americans.
What are your thoughts ? Can this work? Any new ideas?

https://preview.redd.it/jubbbciddd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e19ef923e1f1e0caafcb39f5f22f6532d47ec50

🔗Sharp XE-A102 Compact Electronic Cash Register with LED Display

🔗Professional XE Series Electronic Cash Register

🔗Casio Single-Tape Thermal Cash Register for Business

https://preview.redd.it/9qo9ivmfdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b796fc73fe9d4964333dedf01204832108f7316c

🔗Heavy-Duty Cash Register with Alpha Keyboard and LCD Display

https://preview.redd.it/n49jkvmfdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de539e0ebd57052b2847b9d3ccc982047c4b050e

🔗Fast and Accurate Cash Register System with Thermal Printing and 8-Line Display

https://preview.redd.it/f33rfq0gdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e9314ab913ffe6b00f0a11467485ee790805c89a
I recently discovered the Sharp XEA407 Cash Register while searching for a reliable and feature-rich solution for my little grocery store.

🔗Royal 100Cx Portable Battery/AC Powered Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/ehbrx3qgdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6336a0d1631936e4129065c3bb0ff8f80b083cff

🔗Royal 435dx Cash Register with 16 Department Capability and 8 Clerks

https://preview.redd.it/p46ibzsgdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=388c3cad238c37035aa583f7a2fca3ca9b3546fb

🔗Casio SE-S700 Cash Register: High-Speed Single-Station Thermal Printer

https://preview.redd.it/bw8m582hdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cda297dee8ba2852e9a6050cf6d8cd0952683543

🔗Refurbished Sharp XE-A106 Sleek Microban Cash Register

https://preview.redd.it/pv6bngihdd1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5531ba303d34110e9ab375d0da811cd88813ade8
I recently got my hands on the Sharp XE-A106 Cash Register and boy, am I impressed! This refurbished gem has been a game-changer in managing sales at my small business.
The first thing that caught my eye was the Microban antimicrobial keys. It's not just about style; it's about hygiene too! The large LED screen is another feature that I absolutely adore. With one line for eight digits, it's so easy to keep track of prices and sales.
The drum printing on standard 2-1/4" plain paper roll is fast and quiet, making it perfect for my retail store. Plus, with functions like eight preprogrammed departments, 80 price lookups, four clerk numbers, auto-tax system, and flash reporting, managing sales has never been easier.
But wait, there's more! The locking cash drawer with four-slot bill compartments, five-slot removable coin tray, and a media slot for quick deposit of checks and bills is just brilliant. Not to forget the easy programming that took me under an hour to set up.
However, nothing's perfect. The one downside I noticed was the slow printing speed. Also, you can't turn off the receipt printer for a "no sale" option.
All in all, the Sharp XE-A106 Cash Register is a reliable workhorse for any small business. Despite the few drawbacks, it's worth every penny. If you're in the market for a cash register, this should definitely be on your list!

I recently purchased the Royal 6000ML Cash Register for my small grocery store, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer. This compact cash register has truly helped streamline our operations, making it easier than ever to manage sales and generate accurate reports.
One of my favorite features is the 36 Department categorization, which has allowed me to analyze sales data in a more detailed manner. Additionally, the 6,000 Price Look-ups (PLUs) have made entering frequently sold items quick and easy. The alphanumeric thermal printer, along with the front display and rear LED display, ensures that I can keep track of transactions with ease.
However, there have been some cons as well. The initial setup was a bit challenging due to the lack of clarity in the instruction manual. Some users have also reported issues with the power cord connecting properly to the register.
Overall, despite a few hiccups during setup, the Royal 6000ML Cash Register has been a valuable addition to my business. Its efficiency and ease of use make it an ideal choice for small-scale retail operations.

how much can I sell my bike for?
I've got a 2002 sv650 and the bike is not in a so good shape. It has cca 60k km, It was converted from faired to naked, I suspect one of the previous owners crashed it. The gauge is aftermarket, fuel level is always showing as full and the headlight is aftermarket. Since I've got it I've fixed up the electronics (the harness was terrible), will probably replace the clutch and brake calipers. Other than that the engine has no problems, from what I've gathered oil changes were done regularly. I'm (potentially) selling it as I want something more comfortable for long rides and pillion riding. I was thinking of listing it for 1300€, but I'm willing to go down as low as 900€. It's also important to note I live in Europe. How much can I realistically sell it for? what can I do to make it more sellable?

2024.05.19 13:27 Fun-Lock4401 And so it begins: starting to hear plague coughs again out and about in NYC

NY state health dept. data shows COVID cases are up 50-60% in NYC in the last few weeks, even with so little testing. Same sources show COVID Hospitalizations are also up around 30% in NYC in similar time period.
Last week I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan for the first time since Feb. 2020 (I have a slight suspicion that's where I caught COVID in Feb. 2020, which led to my long COVID, but there are innumerable other options). I of course wore my N95, and I didn't I didn't hear many coughs or sneezes in the crowds, but there was one middle aged woman I remember constantly coughing and it did not sound good. No mask of course.
I was buying a bottle of wine in my neighborhood liquor store yesterday and there was a lady shopping in there who was coughing about every 5-10 seconds. Not a scary sounding cough, but constant -- no mask, of course, like 99% of people in New York City who virtually never mask.
Then I got home and out the windows of my fifth floor apartment building, that face into a long narrow area bout 30 feet wide between my 6 floor and roughly 60 unit pre-war brick apt. building and multiple other similar structures (so just tons of people's windows open on this space) I heard someone very sick coughing their guts up -- just an awful cough, not that they were vomiting. This is not a familiar sound, so I don't think it's just someone with a chronic lung illness.
Just got up and having my morning coffee and hearing this same person's horrible cough again.
It's been a little while since I was hearing horrible coughs like this. I don't know why but I have this weird feeling this might be a pretty bad spring/summer wave we're going into. Also I've been looking at the rise in some of the wastewater data and it looks fast for the start of a wave, they usually begin a little more slowly. Stay safe and stay masked everyone.

2024.05.19 13:27 KennStack We made our first sale in 8 days!!!

Since the beginning of this year, we decided to build a portfolio of small bets (having at least two products among our assets)… after launching our first product (EarlyAccess .to), we made our sale around two months later.
When we soft-launched our second product (liw .bio) on May 6th (2024) and on May 14th, we made our first sale 🔥 without a ProductHunt or something! Something I would never imagine, and I wanted to share what I’ve learned (although I’m not a SaaS giant, not an expert yet!).
  1. Never expected this!
The unexpected happens when we’re getting ready. It would be easy for us to sit down and not start sharing with people we know (or our current ~200 users newsletter launched through our first product)… We were focused on going to market as soon as possible, and shipping features fast, while also sharing or making some noise about it already. (For context, I’m the technical cofounder).
  1. Lessons learned
    1. Build a “portfolio of small bets”
Life is tough. You don’t need to invest all your energy in a product that doesn’t sell (yet), especially when you’re bootstrapping the business. When failure comes, it’s easy to get depressed and burnout. (I’ve been there, before getting a cofounder). So, it’s better to invest around 1-2 months on a product and be ready to move on or add another product until you the one that works (or sometimes both of them work!).
2. Always work on an “already validated” market (competition is great!), if you’re a beginner
You don’t have VC behind you (unless you have!), so why would you want to suffer working on trying hard to validate a product idea in a market? See, it requires a lot of time, energy, and money to validate a business (that’s even why we launched our first product), and you don’t wanna suffer like that, you have life. Launch a product in a market that’s already established and validated. If there are stronger competitors, that’s great, because it will help you focus only on the features that will make your difference…
For our product, we know the “link-in-bio” market, is very crowded with tools. So, what we had to work on was to focus on pricing (our early pricing: $0, $9/year, and so on) with a cheap yearly subscription, the UI/UX (simpler, with less noise), while having the core features of a typical “link-in-bio”, as our starting point (before adding more features).
3. Go from product to landing page, not the other way around
For technical founders (with a design taste), I’d say it’s better to build the MVP first before building your “fancy” landing page. This is my first time doing this way since I always start with my “fancy landing page”, which takes longer. Once you have an MVP up and running, you can start building your landing page (which we’re still improving lol).
4. Ship fast, but usefully
Execution is key. Building one or two features per day is enough for you to get things done in a matter of days or weeks (at most 4 weeks?). This helps you keep up with motivation and energy. And it’s OK to have stubborn bugs sometimes, it’s part of the journey. Trust the process.
5. Start cheap, but increase price later
Although not a big fan of very cheap products, sometimes it’s necessary to get started with a cheaper product in the market. This can help have your first users try the product and send you feedback to improve your MVP. And that’s what we did: we came up with the cheap yearly plan as mentioned above to attract… and it worked! Somebody (we don’t even know) purchased (maybe because they wanted to grab their favorite username/handle haha! I don’t know, but they purchased the product!)
Of course, we’re going to increase the price in the coming days. But for the past few days, we wanted to get something that would get us going and motivated about our product. Now, we know we can sell, we’ll move on to the next level.
6. Make noise
People will only know about your product if you launch or share something about it. (I’m an introvert, but I’m learning to make things better by becoming vocal about my products, not gonna give up!)
7. Keep showing up
That’s it. That’s the point.
  1. What’s our next step?
I’m already shipping new features :) (store connected to Shopify and Amazon, affiliate links, custom themes, etc) and we’re working on sharing more with the public, to get us known, so that people can try our product.
Thanks for reading!

Urban real estate crisis – is a “doom loop” the same as a death spiral?

Photo above - America's $2 trillion office skyscraper market is imploding. Can Tareq and Christina help transition it to affordable housing?
Suppose someone told you that the big city office vacancy rate was 20%. Would you consider this a crisis? Or would you wait for a government response which said that “vacancy rates are complicated, and not all methods arrive at the same 20% number. Some are as a low as 3.4%” . . . ?
The US vacancy rate actually IS 20% (see link below). And nobody in DC is yet claiming the numbers are bogus. However, the month isn't over yet and those stats were just released on Friday. And this IS an election year.
There aren't many office towers where I live. However, I DO know that about 20% of the stores are vacant at the 2 malls I still visit. I buy about 20% of my stuff on Amazon now. Dishwasher tabs delivered on Friday. I did not have to scour the 3rd class mail adverts from supermarkets to figure out which – if any – store was having a sale this week. I'm gradually moving to an “all Amazon” purchase model. I still buy fresh fruits, frozen foods, and eggs/milk at the grocery store. And heavy stuff like cases of water and soda. But I got a gallon of canola oil from Amazon earlier this month. $2 less than Piggly Wiggly. If Amazon ever gets shoe sizes right, it's doom-ocalypse for mall shoe stores.
Back to office vacancies. I don't blame myself for empty offices, like I do with malls. I'm just fighting inflation when I shop Amazon. I have nothing to do with why millions of people are suddenly working from home. That's entirely on congress. In addition to adding about $7 trillion to the national debt, covid lockdowns proved lots of people can work from their dining rooms and almost impersonate being at the office. The only people NOT allowed to work from home appear to be government employees. Can we see if senators and house members can be kept home? And can we lock them out of Zoom so they pull less stuff on us while WE are working?
How much is 20% of the office marketplace worth? The Columbia University study in the link below doesn't say. So I googled “total US office space” (11 billon square feet) and multiplied it by $200 (2023 cost per square foot of office space transactions). It comes to . . . $2.2 trillion. Which seems high if you're an ordinary wage slave like me. Or low, if you visit any city and gaze up at something like Trump Towers. In any case, those vacancies mean potentially $400 billion in loan defaults. About the same as the 2008 bank bailouts during the real estate crisis. Will we be seeing Tareq and Christina launching a new “flip or flop” show to rehab Trump Towers into something else, after Letitia James seizes it in court?
The Columbia study suggests that vacant office towers in places like Manhattan, Los Angeles, San Francisco should be turned into apartments. After all, we ARE having an affordable housing crisis too. But before we put the pedal to the metal on that, maybe we ought to commission a study on who actually wants to live in an urban high rise, with high taxes, high crime, and high grocery prices. Suppose they're happier living in the 'burbs, and working from their suburban dining rooms, 40 miles from downtown?
I'm just sayin' . . .
~'Vicious cycle': US office vacancy levels hit record high — are we on the precipice of an 'urban doom loop?' (msn.com)~

2024.05.19 13:16 serquano Urgent advice magnifica plus

Hi everyone, To catch a daily discount I’m planning to go to an electronic store to buy a delonghi ecam.320.70.tb today
I couldn’t find any expert reviews about this automatic. It is almost half price of dinamica plus and it is 20% more expensive than magnifica evo in Turkish market.
Espresso intensity is most important for me, flat white and coffee latte quality is important for my wife.
I will replace my 8 years old krups ea80 automatic.
Suggestions to do that or not.

2024.05.19 13:10 coinsbee_com 7 Must-Know Insights For Effective Gift Card Use:

1. Be Aware of Gift Card Scams
Gift card scams often involve someone contacting you and urgently requesting payment via gift cards for various reasons, such as claiming to be from the government, tech support, or even a friend in emergency.
2. Spend Gift Cards Promptly
Holding onto gift cards can lead to them being forgotten or the business closing down, which risks wasting the card's value. Nearly $1 billion in gift cards went unused in 2015, a significant sum that highlights the importance of using them sooner rather than later.
3. Not all gift cards can be redeemed online
For example, store gift cards can only be used at specific retailers
4. Be aware of regional restrictions
Some gift cards are simply blocked by the brand if they are attempted to be used in the wrong region
5. Almost always gift cards cannot be exchanged back for money.
Do not forget to check Terms and Conditions from the official brand before purchasing
6. Regifting or Donating Unwanted Gift Cards
If you receive a gift card that doesn't suit your preferences, consider regifting it to someone who would appreciate it.
7. Selling or Trading Unwanted Gift Cards
Some platforms allow you to sell unwanted gift cards or trade them for ones you'll use. This can be a great way to ensure you get value from gift cards you won't personally use.

🔗Premium Long Gun Safe with Advanced Security Features

Picture this - you've just brought home your latest addition to the gun collection, and you're eager to find the perfect safe to store it. That's where the Kodiak KBX5940 comes in. This 57-long gun safe, with a fire protection time of 40 minutes, is more than just a regular safe. Its exterior dimensions are spacious at 59"H x 40"W x 23"D (not including handle), leaving plenty of room for your collection to grow.
But what sets this safe apart from the rest are its security features. The UL Listed electronic lock and CA DOJ certified firearm safety device ensure that your guns are safely stored. The SafeX security system, with its revolutionary anti-pry technology, interlocks the body and door together, providing an added layer of protection against unwanted access. And let's not forget the hardened armor plate and spring-loaded relocker; it's a shield against any potential drill attacks.
The Kodiak KBX5940 is not just functional, but it's also stylish. The deluxe door organizer, with handgun holders and pockets, adds a touch of elegance. But whether you're a rookie or an experienced gun enthusiast, the Kodiak KBX5940 57 Long Gun Safe is a reliable, secure, and practical investment for your firearm collection.

🔗Fireproof Gun Safe with Electronic Lock and Alarm U Function

https://preview.redd.it/hdvkxk7y7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e7a254f7509ba208e0e4b1d93c214ea1346735d
I recently purchased the Wasatch 18 Gun Safe, and it exceeded my expectations. Its sleek design and durability have been impressive so far. The fireproof features stood out to me, and I appreciate that it can handle a temperature of up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes. The waterproof aspect is also reassuring since it can withstand up to 2 feet of water for 72 hours, which is a great feature to have in case of accidents.
One thing I found particularly useful is the electronic lock with the alarm U function. I love the theft alert and deterrent alert features that give me peace of mind. The backup key is also a great touch for added security. The external hinges allow for a full 180-degree opening, providing excellent access to all my valuables.
The interior door storage and lever handle have been quite convenient. The 1.5-inch active locking bolts and 2 dead bolts also add an extra layer of security. However, I did find out that the safe is not designed to hold 18 guns – instead, it can accommodate 3-4 short rifles or 8 handguns, which I find a bit limiting.
One downside is that the safe is quite heavy, so assistance is needed when setting it up. I would also recommend having a secure and convenient spot for it as it includes a bolt-down kit to prevent theft. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, and I believe the Wasatch 18 Gun Safe is a great value for its price.

🔗Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with Anti-Theft Electronic Lock

https://preview.redd.it/nv8jqtqy7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d30004d4970528725452398133a8ad0e6fc8a481
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW, and I must say, I was impressed. This fireproof and waterproof safe is perfect for gun enthusiasts who want to protect their precious belongings from potential damage.
One of the most impressive features of this safe is its backlit electronic lock, which comes with an Alarm-U function. The alarm notifies you of any attempted theft, and the backup key provides an extra layer of security. I loved that it offered external hinges, allowing for a full 180-degree opening, making it effortless to access my safe.
The interior door storage and 3-spoke handle design were another bonus that I found extremely useful. Additionally, the safe is equipped with 3 1.5-inch active locking bolts and 2 dead bolts that effectively deter any potential intruders.
However, I did notice that the safe is quite heavy, which can make transportation difficult. The size of the box also seemed to be larger than originally estimated, which was a bit of a hassle.
Overall, my experience with the Wasatch 24 Gun Fire and Water Safe with E-Lock 24EGW has been positive. I feel confident that my valuables are safely guarded, thanks to its impressive fire and water resistance capabilities. While there were a few minor drawbacks, they do not outweigh the fantastic features of this safe.

🔗Ironman 5200 Gun Safe - High Security, 44 Gun Capacity, Fire Resistant

https://preview.redd.it/kqn69f3z7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f48b0fb17e8725750dc3560d5f7b8d57509995ca
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Ironman Safe, and let me tell you, it's like no other safe I've ever used. The thickness of the body and door, both made of 10-gauge steel, instantly made me feel more secure as I prepared to store my valuable long guns inside. This 44-gun capacity safe really is a game-changer when it comes to peace of mind.
One of the features that stood out to me the most was the drill hard plate located behind the lock, which prevents unauthorized access by drilling or punching. And if the unthinkable happens and someone manages to break in, the relocking device immediately activates, making it impossible for them to open the safe.
But it's not all about security. With a 2-hour firewall rating for fire resistance, the Ironman Safe also keeps your firearms safe in case of an accident or emergency. The 1-square locking bolts and continuous 3/4-solid steel locking bar provide excellent burglary resistance, giving you one less thing to worry about when protecting your valuables.
A minor downside is the weight, at 1100 pounds, it can be quite a challenge to move around. However, the extra sturdiness and security it provides make it worth the effort. Overall, the Ironman Safe has been a reliable and effective storage solution for my long guns, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for the same level of peace of mind.

🔗Remington Gun Club 4-Gun Fireproof and Waterproof Gun Safe

https://preview.redd.it/jptgm7ez7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46ff56c3d58d9cc0ab61f14426b69b3d16925abd
I've been using the Remington Gun Club 36 Plus Gun Safe for quite some time now, and I must say it's lived up to its reputation of offering consistent, secure, and feature-filled protection for my collection. The fireproof and waterproof capabilities are a lifesaver, as I've always been worried about those catastrophes. The programmable electronic lock gives me peace of mind, knowing that my collection is safely locked away.
As for the interior, the full carpeting and quilted door organizer make it feel like a VIP treatment for my guns. The only drawback I've noticed is slightly limited storage capacity for a truly extensive collection, but other than that minor inconvenience, I'm absolutely pleased with its performance.

🔗Cascade Gun Safe with Advanced Security Features and 35 Gun Capacity

https://preview.redd.it/d1fg8xwz7d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=47ca2345a2ae41d76ef1c3e8570b7d54dcd253c8
The Cascade Gun Safe is an impressive piece of equipment for gun enthusiasts. I decided to use it in a hunting trip, and it was an eye-opener. The SafeX Security System is a breath of fresh air for a gun safe; it's both a pro and a con for me as I appreciate its innovation yet find it challenging. The fire protection of 60 minutes was reassuring on that chilly morning. The Heat Activated Palusol Fire Door Seal, when expanded, does an effective job of keeping heat and smoke at bay.
The electronic lock with the added security of a hardened armor plate and spring-loaded relocker felt like a well-thought-out feature. This wasn't the first time I encountered a lock being drilled, so it was a relief to have this safety measure in place. The anti-tamper clutched handle was a great idea, making it harder for someone to easily carry off the safe. It was easily pre-drilled to bolt to the floor, providing a steadier foundation.
It held up to 35 long guns with a capacity that met the practical needs of avid hunters. The external dimensions were fairly accurate, making it a good fit for my limited space. The textured powder-coat finish and interior upholstery looked great, though the heather interior seemed a bit too delicate for the rough wilderness we find ourselves in.
One concern I had was the safety of my items with the deluxe door organizer. I wish the gun holders and pockets on the organizer had a more secure clasp on them. Despite the minor hiccups, the Cascade Gun Safe proved to be an overall top-notch investment for anyone serious about gun safety and fire protection.

Buyer's Guide

Selecting a Cascade gun safe can be a considerable investment, with factors such as interior space, exterior style, and mechanical components all playing essential roles in decision-making. As a seasoned range-goer, I recently had the pleasure of trying out the Galco Gunleather Ruger Wrangler Cartridge Belt. This belt not only adds a touch of retro charm to my gear but also provides a functional solution to my ammo needs.
The stearhide belt strap with. 22-caliber cartridge loops caught my eye right away. It effortlessly accommodates my Wrangler Holster, making it easy to reload on the go. The brass buckle adds a classic touch, giving it an authentic Western vibe that I love.
However, one downside I noticed was the belt length. At 34 inches, it was a bit too long for my preference, and I had to adjust it before heading to the range. Also, the holster is sold separately, which means you'll need to purchase it separately to complete your setup.
Overall, despite the minor inconvenience of the belt length and the need for a separate holster purchase, the Galco Gunleather Ruger Wrangler Cartridge Belt has become a staple in my range bag. It combines style and functionality in a way that truly makes me feel like I'm carrying a piece of the American frontier with me.

🔗Cartridge Looped Western Embossed Leather Belt

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Hunter Company Embossed Cowboy Belt with 45 Caliber Cartridge Loops. It has an air of authenticity to it with its chestnut tan color and contrasting leather billets. This belt, designed for that classic western aesthetic, has held up well to my daily wear and tear.
One of the best features of this belt is its versatility, especially with its three available sizes - Large and XLarge having a perfect fit. I was able to store a good amount of 45 caliber ammunition in its cartridge loops too!
However, the lack of availability in various colors and the absence of additional measurements might prove inconvenient for some users. The price also seems a bit higher, considering it's made from full-grain leather.
Overall, the American Full-Grain Leather Embossed Cowboy Belt is a sturdy, classic choice for western-style holster carry and shooting activities. It checks all the right boxes when it comes to durability and western aesthetics. But just a note, there's room for improvement on the customizability aspect.

🔗Samsung Original Cartridge Belt for Easy Printing

I recently tried this Samsung Transfer Cartridge Belt Unit, or JC96-05874B. It's an essential accessory for keeping your prints squeaky clean and of excellent quality. It seamlessly moves the paper from the toner-covered drum to the fuser unit, where it gets heated and sealed. One of my worries was that I might have to replace it frequently due to poor quality, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it held up.
The belt unit can be stored for up to 6 months without any degradation in performance. It's also straightforward to install and use. However, I did run into a minor issue with compatibility - I had to update my printer software to make it work properly, but once that was sorted, it was smooth sailing.
Overall, the JC96-05874B is a reliable and time-tested product by Samsung that's worth investing in if you want consistent high-quality prints.

🔗Rotary 13241 Torque Converter Belt for Comet Go Carts

When I first got my hands on the Rotary Torque Converter Belt, I was initially impressed by how sleek and sturdy it looked. The belt itself is flexible, and it fits perfectly into the engine compartment with ease. Its flat side installs towards the engine, providing a snug fit that ensures a smooth operation.
What stood out to me was the design of the belt. The 5/8-inch top width is asymmetric, with a flat side on one end and a slightly angled side on the other. This feature ensures that it's compatible with go carts featuring Comet clutch drives and using belt number 200393 (A, B, or C).
My experience with the belt has been largely positive. However, I did find that the installation process could be slightly more straightforward for beginners. It might take a bit of trial and error to get it right, but once it was in place, it worked like a charm.
In conclusion, the Rotary Torque Converter Belt is a reliable and efficient solution for those looking to replace their existing belt in go carts. Although it requires a bit of effort to install, it boasts impressive performance and compatibility, making it a great choice for both casual and professional users.

🔗Quiet and High-Performance Poly-V Cartridge Belt for Mitsubishi Models

I discovered Continental Elite's Poly-V / Serpentine Belt when I was facing an issue with the belt on my car. I had heard about the brand's reputation for durability and performance, so I thought giving it a try would be worth it. Let me share my experience.
When I first installed the belt, I was amazed by how smooth and quiet it ran. The Quiet Channel Technology did its job, eliminating any unwanted noises. The staggered "helicog" profile, combined with the rubber compounds, made a significant difference in my daily drive. Moreover, the belt's flexibility improved its resistance to wear and tear, making it last longer.
One of the features I appreciated the most was the polyester tension member. Its treatment reduced elongation, and it worked well with automatic tensioners. The sturdiness of the belt was evident, providing me with confidence in its reliability.
However, I had a minor concern. While the belt was easy to install, I found it a bit fiddly at times. The instructions could have been more detailed, making the process less daunting. Additionally, I noticed that the belt wasn't as compatible with some vehicles as I had hoped. I had to go to two different stores to find the right size, which was quite frustrating.
In conclusion, I can say that Continental Elite's Poly-V / Serpentine Belt is an excellent product. It offers great performance and durability, and it's quieter than many other alternatives. Despite the minor issues I encountered, I will definitely consider using this belt in the future, and I recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable and efficient serpentine belt.

🔗HP High-Quality Cartridge Belt for Printer Upkeep

The HP C7791-60233-OEM cartridge belt is a must-have for electronics enthusiasts who love to add the latest gadgets to their collection. I've been using this cartridge belt for a few weeks now, and I must say, it's been a game-changer in my home.
One feature that stood out to me is its universal compatibility with several models, including 120, 130, and 100 cartridges. This means I can easily switch between devices without worrying about compatibility issues.
However, the belt can be a bit tight, which might cause discomfort during longer usage. As a solution, I'd recommend taking a few minutes to adjust it before each use.
In conclusion, this cartridge belt has proven to be a reliable and convenient accessory, making it a great addition to any electronics enthusiast's collection.

🔗Heavy-Duty Relubricatable Flange Cartridge Belt

I recently had the opportunity to use the Link-Belt FCU347 Flange Cartridge Unit, and it exceeded my expectations. The heavy-duty bearing unit's cast iron housing and four bolt holes provided an impressive amount of stability and rigidity. The one-piece housing made of cast iron also helped in vibration damping, which was perfect for my industrial application.
One feature that I particularly loved was the powder-coated finish, as it offered excellent corrosion resistance. Moreover, the grease fitting on the outer surface allowed me to reapply lubricant easily, ensuring smooth operation.
However, there was one minor downside - the non-expansion property limited the applicability for some situations. Nonetheless, in my case, it wasn't a big problem. Overall, the Link-Belt FCU347 Flange Cartridge Unit proved to be reliable and effective in my daily life, demonstrating its value in industrial and commercial applications.

🔗High-Quality Aramid Fiber Red Belt for Universal Use

I've been using this Rotary Aramid Belt 5/8" x 140" for some time now, and it's been a game-changer for my daily tasks. The belt is designed to be super durable, making it perfect for high-wear applications. My favorite part about it is that it's universal, fitting a wide range of machines, including large motorized trimmers.
One of the standout features of this belt is its Aramid fiber material, which adds an extra layer of protection and strength. Additionally, the size and dimensions of the belt are highly convenient, measuring 5/8" x 140" and replacing the OEM Carlisle 9-3452. I appreciate that it's available in multiple quantities, with 25 cases and 12 pallets available.
However, one downside I've noticed is that it can be a bit difficult to store due to its size. Nonetheless, the pros of this belt definitely outweigh the cons, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable, long-lasting cartridge belt.

Buyer's Guide

A cartridge belt is a crucial accessory for many outdoor activities and shooting sports. It provides a convenient way to store and carry ammunition, allowing for quick and easy reloading. When choosing a cartridge belt, it's essential to consider several factors such as the type of ammunition you'll be carrying, the environment where you'll be using it, and your personal preferences. This buyer's guide will provide you with the necessary information to make an informed decision when purchasing a cartridge belt.

Compatibility with Ammunition

https://preview.redd.it/1mbkdlm57d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2920e3660b0edd38ee1a0b57aa36ab6514bb57a3
Cartridge belts are designed to accommodate specific types of ammunition, so it's essential to choose a belt that matches the rounds you'll be carrying. Commonly available cartridge belts are designed for pistol calibers, shotgun shells, or rifle cartridges. Always verify that the ammunition you plan to use is compatible with the cartridge belt before making a purchase.

Material and Construction

Cartridge belts come in various materials, including nylon, leather, and polymer. Each material has its pros and cons. Nylon belts are lightweight, durable, and easy to clean. They are ideal for outdoor use in wet and humid environments. Leather belts are more classic and have a natural look, but they tend to be more expensive and require proper care to maintain their condition. Polymer belts are lightweight and resistant to water, making them a good choice for outdoor activities in harsh conditions. Choose a belt with sturdy construction that offers a secure fit and can withstand the rigors of regular use.

Weight Distribution

A well-designed cartridge belt should distribute the weight of ammunition evenly across your waist. This can help prevent discomfort and fatigue during extended periods of use. Look for belts with padded or reinforced sections to provide added comfort and support.

Some cartridge belts come with additional features designed to enhance your shooting experience. These may include speed loaders, retention systems, or easy-to-access magazine pockets. Consider these features when choosing a cartridge belt to ensure it meets your specific needs and preferences.

Durability and Weather Resistance

A good cartridge belt should be able to withstand the elements and regular wear and tear. Look for belts with reinforced stitching, robust hardware, and weather-resistant materials to ensure your investment will last.

FAQ

What is a cartridge belt?

A cartridge belt is a type of belt that holds multiple rounds of ammunition, usually for firearms like revolvers or pistols. It is designed to keep the ammunition securely in place and easily accessible for quick reloading during shooting.

https://preview.redd.it/vs8zxrl77d1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1896299fab3a871d4a962dc4fac61a335ca2bfb0

How does a cartridge belt work?

Cartridge belts typically consist of individual pouches made of strong, durable material, such as nylon or leather. Each pouch holds a single round of ammunition, which can be loaded into the belt in a row, creating a continuous, circular loop. When a round needs to be reloaded, the shooter simply pulls the next pouch forward, exposing the new ammunition for use.

What are the benefits of using a cartridge belt?

  • Cartridge belts provide quick and easy access to ammunition during shooting.
  • They are durable and long-lasting, making them a reliable choice for serious shooters.
  • The continuous loop design allows for efficient use of ammunition and helps prevent the belt from tangling or twisting.

What types of firearms work best with cartridge belts?

Cartridge belts are commonly used with revolvers and pistols, as they allow for easy reloading and storage of multiple rounds for these types of firearms. However, they can also be used with semi-automatic handguns, although the need for reloading may be reduced due to the automatic feeding mechanism.

What materials are cartridge belts usually made from?

Cartridge belts are generally made from strong, durable materials like nylon or leather, which can withstand the rigors of shooting and repeated use. Some high-end models may feature additional design elements, such as reinforced stitching or specialized coatings, for improved performance and longevity.

Can cartridge belts be customized?

Yes, cartridge belts can be customized to suit the specific needs and preferences of individual shooters. Some common customization options include:
  • Different colors or finishes to match personal style or team affiliation
  • Adjustable length to accommodate various waist sizes
  • Different pouch sizes or configurations to accommodate specific ammunition types or preferences

What is the proper way to wear a cartridge belt?

When wearing a cartridge belt, it is essential to ensure that it is securely fastened and will not shift or move during shooting. Most belts have a buckle or closure system that can be adjusted to fit the wearer's waist size. Additionally, the belt should be positioned so that the pouches are readily accessible for quick reloading, typically at the user's dominant side for right-handed shooters or the opposite side for left-handed shooters.
