Journey so far of herniated disc (including what's worked for me)

2024.05.19 13:19 SoSolidKerry Journey so far of herniated disc (including what's worked for me)

Hello, one and all. Been lurking for a while. Thought I'd share my experience thus far. I'm a 45-year-old female who herniated L4/L5 in early January. I'm, therefore, four months, two weeks post-injury.
It's a mild-ish protrusion pressing on nerves and causing sciatica. I have never had back pain. I'm a Brit. I plan to get over this conservatively and do not intend to have any injections or surgery. Note that I have some trouble lifting my left foot and walking as normal on that side, but everything is functional. I am able to lift my toes and heels, and I have full sensation everywhere.
From my scan, disc height is compromised only a tiny bit (I have juicy discs). I have a very wide and spacious nerve canal. No other issues aside from a transitional disc below (born with more bone than disc at L5/S1, very common, and I'm luckily in the "won't cause pain" camp) and a slight bulging disc above, which isn't pressing on anything. The transitional disc is likely to have led to this injury. But moving house finally pushed me over the edge, lifting things the wrong way.

The first month

The first month was obviously painful. Terrible sleep; sciatica was awful (burning in my left calf and left foot with some right foot tingling), and I was very stiff and leaning forward most mornings. Doing McKenzie cobras in those early days helped massively. And amazingly, I kept up with walking and averaged 15,000 steps daily. It wasn't painful. But I was taking Ibuprofen and paracetamol. I believe a lot of my sciatica has been caused by inflammation.
Back then, I was seeing a physio and doing some basic pelvic tilts, bridges, calf stretches, cat/camels, and – like I mentioned – cobra poses. Otherwise, I would mostly lie on the floor, on my front, resting. Or walking outdoors. It would take me three hours just to pluck up the courage to shower. And I could only stand under the hot water for less than a minute before lying on the floor again. Sitting was impossible. I couldn't use the car. I couldn't sleep on my left side. I would crawl down the stairs each morning after barely any sleep and go straight to the drugs. I couldn't make breakfast or do anything. But as each day wore on, I'd become less stiff and more upright and be able to walk for miles.

In search of a silver bullet

I tried everything in February and March. Acupuncture, physio, McKenzie stuff... They put me on Amitriptyline initially, but I hated it. And so they gave me Gabapentin. This helped with sleep and dialled down the pain significantly (I was on 300mg three times a day). I vaguely remember a crazy day when I walked into my local town, sat, and had cake and tea with an old friend. Still to this day, I can't figure out how! Boy, those drugs worked!
By the end of March, I discovered Egoscue and began posture therapy. I did it religiously for six weeks and even began working with a therapist. But it wasn't helping. And I didn't see any improvements. I also decided to come off the Gabapentin during this time, as I felt totally off my face and hated it.
Around February, I also discovered Dr Stuart McGill. And read his excellent book, Back Mechanic. I learnt about spine hygiene and loads of other helpful stuff. Gradually, little by little, turning in bed got easier (brace that core) and getting up out of bed and off the toilet became pain-free, too. But I just wasn't seeing massive improvement.

Finding the right approach

That's when I decided to see a Master Clinician under McGill. Wow. It was the best money I had ever spent, and I'd spent more on acupuncture!
He went through my scan, was the only one to tell me about the transitional disc, and asked what I'd been doing thus far. He recommended that I give the posture therapy and the walking a break, just for a few weeks, to see if we could calm the inflammation down. And so I did. I rested. I mostly lay on the floor on my front or back and only moved around the house. No outdoor walking. No McKenzie cobra poses (which I've since discovered do more harm than good long-term and adopt a gentler version McGill recommends and says is just as effective). That was back in early April. And following his advice alone? I saw immediate improvements. In fact, the very next day, I was pain-free for seven hours. I couldn't believe it – just by resting.
I only rested for three weeks, and then I decided to try walking outdoors again. My gosh. The difference after the break! I could barely do ten minutes around the block without pain. It was too much. (I could never walk first thing before either – only later on in the day. But it would usually be fine.) But my back specialist wanted me to try walking three times a day, starting small. So, I persisted. He told me to stop if walking made things worse, though. Thankfully, it's been three weeks since I began walking outdoors again, and I'm making great progress. I can now get up from bed and walk immediately (I had to give it an hour before I ventured out of the house). And I can walk for half an hour, too. Three times a day. I find that a morning walk is crucial. I am stiff and a little sore at first, but it eases. And sets me up for the day. I also enjoy two or three hours of no pain when returning home.

Finally seeing progress

Since early April, the improvements have been gradual but almost daily. They're so small sometimes that you hardly notice them! It's only when you look back that you realise how far you've come!
In the six weeks since I worked with my back specialist, I have seen the constant burning sciatica in my foot and calf mostly disappear. Initially, I had a lot of fuzzing. That has now subsided, and since then, it's gone from fuzzing to cold water feelings and tingling... with occasional burning again (mostly only in the top of my calf), but that goes quickly. Now and again, I'll get a random ten minutes of a burning foot again, but it soon disappears.
A few weeks ago, I started getting new sharp and painful jolts in my left hip. That's apparently blood returning to the nerves. For the last week, I have barely had any foot or calf issues—I mostly have sharp pulling nerve pain on my left kneecap and similar symptoms in my hip. Only in the last month have I occasionally started to get a bruised feeling in my lumbar spine.
The morning stiffness and leaning forward? Gone. I am bolt-upright every morning and feel pretty good, posture-wise. Funny enough, since I quit doing the posture therapy. Go figure!
My glutes are very tight and constantly holding themselves. I'm trying to teach them to relax, but it's tough, as I know they're protecting themselves. I've been using heat to relax them—just a microwaved wheat sack some mornings.
Under a week ago, I came off Gabapentin. And I also quit Ibuprofen about five weeks ago. The only meds I take now are paracetamol – just one dose in the middle of the night to calm my (good) right hip that gets sore from only sleeping on that side.

How far I've come

Here I am, four months and two weeks post-injury. I still can't sit on a soft surface (I use a special sciatica cushion on a dining chair), I can't sit in a vehicle for the same reason, I can't sleep on my left side, and I still have some mild foot drop but am walking better.
On a positive note, the pain symptoms are changing daily, which is apparently a good sign. I am starting to feel some back pain for the first time, too. Centralisation is perhaps occurring. Instead of lying on the floor for several hours before breakfast, I now find better relief in standing and moving around. I can also sit for short spurts on my dining chair first thing in the morning, whereas before, I'd only be able to do that from midday.
I'm sleeping better. Six or seven hours a night. It's a tad broken, but I feel rested. And when I get up in the morning? Whereas before, my left leg and foot would go crazy with fuzzing and burning, now? Nothing. A mild tingling some mornings, but otherwise, fine.
I spend more of my days moving around, standing, walking, and occasionally sitting than "resetting" on the floor. And when I do feel sciatica getting worse, a brief rest on the floor makes the pain go away. It's never 100 per cent pain-free, you understand. It's mildly uncomfortable and feels like it could get worse at any moment, but I'm good.
And I'm finding that if I overdo it, any flare-up I might have is brief and easily overcome. Whereas before, it might've been five days to recover, now it's an hour resting on the floor.
If I stand at my standing desk for too long, my lumbar ache begins. It's not painful. It just feels weird—bruised, almost unstable, like I can feel it stacked. I lie down, reset, and then I'm good to go.

What has really helped

I now know what to do to avoid triggering pain. I can tie my shoes with my foot on a bench and lunge in. I have a shoe horn – a game-changer! I also use a strapped-on ice pack when I need to calm my nerves. Less so these days. And heat on my ass when the glutes feel too tight. I only take paracetamol in the middle of the night to help me sleep. Oh, and I find going to bed with an ice pack on sometimes really helps!
The meds definitely helped in those painful early days; but I need feedback. Once I felt I could, I stopped taking everything.
During this time, I also hired a cleaner (fortnightly) and a gardener. I've not stopped working (I have no choice; I am a freelancer). And I have no kids. So I don't have to commute anywhere. I stay at home and rest, and the only time I leave the house is to walk. I also invested in a new mattress, a game changer (John Ryan Artisan Luxury, if anyone wants to know). I am very lucky in all of these respects, I know.
The walking really helps – but it was only when I stopped, rested, and allowed by body to heal that I noticed a difference in my symptoms.

What's next?

I'm nowhere near ready to begin strength training. And I've avoided all physio and stretching of late. I am just doing what my back specialist recommends. Some mild cat/camels to get the blood flowing, walking, resting. I take magnesium, turmeric, vitamins D and B12, omega-3. I try to avoid sugar and alcohol (I don't always succeed on that one). I'm not ready for longer walks yet. And there's no way I could take a bath, sit up in bed, or sit on the sofa.
But I am healing. This has been quite the journey, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm excited for the next phase of recovery: rehab! And boy, will I be taking it seriously—for the rest of my life! It's down to us, after all. No one can do it for us.
There are some big life events coming up that I know I'm not ready for. When they get closer, if I'm still not better, I will call my GP and ask for advice. Ibuprofen might be brought out again. Perhaps even something stronger. But if I'm one of the lucky ones, I should be seeing further progress in the coming weeks and months.
I rate my ability to function normally when I can sleep on my left side again, drive my car and when I can sit on the sofa, too! I won't mind if there is some residual pain and weakness. As long as I can function without having the crux of a floor and yoga mat nearby.
I am more than happy to answer any questions. I hope this has helped someone. It's certainly helped me to get it all on screen. And I wanted to thank this community for all I've learned this year. I hope you're not in too much pain.

I recently tried out the FLTP Microphone for my car's stereo system, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer. The sleek black design blends seamlessly with my vehicle's interior, while its advanced technology ensures top-notch voice clarity during phone calls.
One thing that truly stands out is its adaptability - this microphone works perfectly with most Pioneer car radios equipped with a 2.5mm input. Its rapid and accurate data transmission guarantees a clear, stable connection even when driving in noisy environments, making hands-free calling a breeze.
The included dash mount and visor clip make it incredibly easy to install this bad boy wherever you like, adding a touch of convenience to your daily drive. Oh, and did I mention the wire length? 3 meters (or 9 feet) gives me plenty of room to maneuver without feeling restricted.
On the downside, some users might find the installation process a bit tricky, especially if they're not familiar with car stereo systems. Additionally, while it pairs seamlessly with my Pioneer radio, compatibility with other brands may vary.
Overall, the FLTP Microphone has been a worthy addition to my car's audio setup. Its sharp design, noise-cancelling capabilities, and user-friendly features make it worth considering for anyone looking to upgrade their hands-free calling experience.

I recently got my hands on the Singing Machine Carpool Karaoke Mic 2.0 in black and gold, a stylish addition to my karaoke setup. You know what they say, good things come in small packages, and this machine definitely fits that bill. It comes with a sleek microphone, perfect for belting out those tunes during karaoke nights with friends.
One of the standout features for me was its ability to stream music via Bluetooth, which meant I could effortlessly connect it to my phone and play all my favorite songs. Another highlight was the option to connect it to my TV screen through the included RCA cables, making following the karaoke lyrics a breeze.
However, there was a minor hiccup. The package didn't include a charging cable or an auxiliary cord. Also, the customer service I encountered at Target wasn't the most helpful, making my experience a bit underwhelming. But hey, nobody's perfect!
Overall, the Singing Machine Carpool Karaoke Mic 2.0 is a fun gadget that definitely makes karaoke nights more lively. It's compact, stylish, and easy to use, but just remember to keep those essential cords handy!

I had the pleasure of trying out "Carpool Karaoke: The Mic Singing Machine" during a road trip with friends. I'm a karaoke enthusiast, so I was excited to see how this device would transform our car ride. The setup was slightly tricky, but once everything was connected, we were ready to rock!
The highlight of this product is its ability to bring the fun of carpool karaoke right into your vehicle. With Bluetooth connectivity and an AUX option, you can sing along to your favorite tunes using your phone's music library or streaming apps. Even though it's primarily designed for car use, I found it enjoyable at home with a Bluetooth speaker too!
However, there were some downsides. The build quality seemed a bit flimsy, and I noticed a significant lag when using the Bluetooth function. Additionally, some users experienced compatibility issues with specific car models.
In summary, "Carpool Karaoke: The Mic Singing Machine" provides a unique and entertaining experience for those who love to sing on the go. While not perfect, its charming concept and ease of use make it a worthy addition to your collection of vehicle entertainment options.

🔗Uniden Bearcat Wireless CB Microphone for Clear and Secure Communication

I recently got my hands on Uniden's BC906W wireless CB microphone, and I must say, it's been an game-changer for my communication needs while out and about. This nifty device gives me the freedom and mobility to connect wirelessly with my Bearcat CB radio from up to 100 meters away.
One of my favorite features is the noise-cancellation technology which helps reduce background sound for clear, quality audio. No more struggling to decipher muffled or distorted voices - now each transmission comes through as crisp and clean as if you were standing right next to the speaker.
The microphone charges conveniently in a cradle that also functions as a sync point, so once you've paired it once, it'll automatically reconnect each time you place it back in the cradle. And let me tell you, this battery lasts a surprisingly long time! Even though I use it daily for extended periods during my job, I only need to charge it about once a week.
There are some minor drawbacks, though. For instance, there isn't any power-saving feature or built-in charging port in the microphone itself, making it reliant on the charging cradle. Additionally, if there's a sudden power interruption, the microphone will automatically unpair from the radio, causing a small inconvenience.
Overall, considering all its pros and cons, Uniden's BC906W wireless CB microphone has made communication away from my truck much easier and more efficient. Its range, noise cancellation, and ease of use make it worth the investment for anyone looking for similar capabilities.

🔗RoadKing 4-Pin Noise-Cancelling CB Microphone

Oh boy, I've been using this Roadking RK56B Black 4-Pin Dynamic Noise Canceling Microphone in my car, and I must say, it's been a game-changer! The moment I received it, I was impressed with the sleek black design. Not only is it super cool looking, but it's also incredibly easy to use. The push-to-talk feature is a particular highlight for me because it ensures that I only transmit when I need to.
One of the best things about this microphone, in fact, is its noise-cancellation feature. I've had it in my car during some noisy drives, and it's like I'm in a silent movie. The sound quality is top-notch, making it much easier for me to communicate clearly over the radio.
In addition to its superior performance, the Roadking RK56B is also built like a tank. It's made with high-grade materials, which not only ensures durability but also gives it a premium feel. And despite its robust construction, the microphone is surprisingly light, making it easy for me to install and adjust.
Perhaps one minor issue I had was with the wiring. It's not exactly a deal-breaker, but managing it can be a bit of a hassle, especially when I'm on the go. That said, this is a microphone that I would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. Its unique combination of style, functionality, and quality makes it a must-have for any driver.

Silly twats with the micropeens. When will you learn that all of Roz hates you?
I hire a car 4 times a year to do a bulk trip to Costco and my goodness! The look of seeing these "utes" (compensators) parked at the perimiter of the carpark in the shadows is such an eyesore. They also really intimidate me on the roads in my Nissan Micra. I drive 15km under the speed limit due to nerves and they always have to be riding up my arse like they are convinced they're some stupid viking lord that can intimidate me with just one death stare. I always end up at Chemist Warehouse needing to grab a stash of rescue remedy for the trip home thanks to these tools.
Also, how are these even legal? Just tow your off-road caravan with your V6 commodore you C-U-B.
And fuck tradies on that matter. I hate looking at their smug faces at 5.30am on their way to work when I'm standing behind my coffee artistry station. Bet the lot of them are on roids because there's no way I've been able to gain any muscle no matter how much mock meat I eat. So clearly protein is a joke.
Anyway fuck all y'all with your yank tanks.

2024.05.19 12:11 MeatJordan Where CAN I protest this?

Let me start with the summary version:
It all began when I first stumbled upon Inside Edition's videos of women - that's WOMEN getting slammed, insulted, and blasted for "showing too much of their body (with kids around)". Then it escalates further when they show a school is photoshopping out women's cleavages to make them look "modest" for their yearbook. I feel this type of treatment towards the female human is all wrong! Like, can't anybody learn to appreciate and look at the female body without censoring it in any way? Can't you let ANYBODY, including kids, get a chance to learn about the differences between the male and female human bodies????
Then comes along... you guessed it. That one video Inside Edition publishes. And after seeing her top blurred, my inner voice in my head: "That's the last straw!" Like, can't some of us get a chance to learn something new that just aroused our curiosity? Such as how the human body changes with time in terms of both genders? Like, now, I can finally visualize myself (my whole body) from little boy to fully grown man. But when Inside Edition published that footage, the new question that took me by storm is: what would a female look like from little girl to fully grown woman?
But with YouTube's broken comment system GHOSTING certain-to-random comments, even on my backup YouTube account, I can't seem to get ANY messages across!
Speaking of which, when I tried to post this on Feminism and AskFeminists, they BOTH perma-banned me for NO REASON and muted me from talking to their mods for 28 days!
Why do I say "no reason"?
"Hello, You have been permanently banned from participating in this subreddit because your post violates this community's rules. You won't be able to post or comment, but you can still view and subscribe to it.
If you have a question regarding your ban, you can contact the moderator team by replying to this message.
Reminder from the Reddit staff: If you use another account to circumvent this subreddit ban, that will be considered a violation of the Content Policy and can result in your account being suspended from the site as a whole."
As you can see, there is no specific reason listed in the message above. So this is why I claim or what I mean by "banned from a sub for 'no reason'. - Even for something that was never officially listed on that sub's rule board.
Once more, I, along with these parents of their own daughter proved one major point: if a male can go topless/show their body, then so can a female - regardless of age!
Can't I get a chance to learn something new? Some evolution/development processes for certain things can be a little more complicated then you originally first thought.
Now here's the detailed version:
Ok, before you start reading below, I want you to visit this and read the whole article to better understand my situation: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/kitchener-waterloo/guelph-parents-angry-after-topless-girl-8-told-to-cover-up-1.3124762
I got banned from Lemmy social site servers for "CSAM" all because of this: the Napalm Girl pic and another thing I saw on Inside Edition's channel in addition to some nude statues - literally artwork of naked people - all because I was trying to protest ~the inconsistencies of censorship towards the female human~ - regardless of their race AND age!
Let me be clear on one thing: I didn't post any "CSAM" on the Lemmy servers! I'm protesting something that I feel is unfair towards the female human.
Please ~actually watch these before jumping to conclusions~ so you can actually understand what I’m really protesting!
Women Who Were Told Their Outfits Were ‘Too Revealing’

It’s one thing to say a girl’s outfit or body is “too revealing”,

It's all thanks to some videos from Inside Edition's YouTube Channel. All these videos Inside Edition posted are developing a question in my mind that's getting the better of me: why so much hate on the female human - even as children? Like, why do they censor the little girl's chest? Can't anybody learn to appreciate the appearance of the female body? Just like those parents of their own 8 year old daughter, I too am genuinely outraged by this type of treatment towards the female human!
And what's the big deal with nipples? I'm just trying to ensure everyone is treated equally regardless of race, and gender... AND age (after what I just witnessed). And if no one's gonna speak up about this, I might as well step up to the plate. After all, somebody's got to do it!
That little girl in the final video made two non-verbal messages clear: one: if a boy can do it, then so can a girl! And two: no one is too young for anything! As long as you have the knowledge capacity and I.Q level to do it properly and safely, you'll be fine. I was able to refuel my dad's car and cook my own dinner when I was 6 and without setting anything ablaze by accident.
However, when I try to illustrate with that video, even though Inside Edition is an official news channel, the responses I get back are rather bitter! They remove my post or ban me from the sites I post on for "promoting nudity involving a minor"!
~WHERE~
~CAN~
~I~
~ASK~
~OR~
~SHARE~
~THIS~
~SUBJECT?!~
Due to my autism, I only know basic English. So I need to illustrate to get most of my messages through. I thought hard, I tried, and low and behold, they were removed hours later mainly because they "didn't fit the subject of the forum". Even though my multi-subject based thread does have some material relating to this forum's topic. These sites and mods are all really stretching my problem solving skills beyond the breaking point for this one. I'm merely protesting with these pictures and videos as illustration. I'm not that good with words, so I need pictures to get half my messages across as noted above.
Many subreddits or forum sites don’t accept URLs, pictures, specific website URLs, or even a combination! Thereby hindering my ability to fully explain what I’m witnessing! In this case, the sentences “It’s one thing to say a girl’s outfit is ‘too revealing’, it’s two things to photoshop out a girl’s cleavage to make her look ‘modest’ for a yearbook.” actually corresponded to several videos I beared witness to on Inside Edition’s YouTube channel.
I actually tried to post that URL with that blurred 9yo girl in a subreddit in the past and you won’t believe this: I actually lost my reddit account for 2 days for “promoting nudity involving a minor”! Other sites like the adult video forums who accept uncensored nudity-based images I mentioned just delete my thread! Another site I recall banned me for 1 year for “spam” - even though I only made this protest post twice (after they removed it once).
So that meant I had to approach this from a different angle: after that experience, I got a little paranoid from using that said video URL to illustrate. So I tried explaining this protest without the URLs - and this is in conjunction with certain sites restricting my ability to post images, URLs, certain site URLs, or a combination. It seemed to end up making things worse! Because without the visual evidence, it makes it much harder to fully explain what I’m witnessing.
So without the URLs included - that visual illustration, on the sites I tried along with Lemmy World, it actually made things worse! That’s what lead Lemmy.World mods to ban me for life for “CSAM” or made other people think I watched child porn when I clearly didn’t. The lack of visual evidence (due to my past reddit experience combined with the site’s posting restrictions) is what lead to this “pedophile” confusion. So please help me talk some sense into the Lemmings world, Lemmy.ml, and Lemmy.world mods that this was all a major misunderstanding and Lemmy is pretty much the only reddit alternative out here where I can try asking another question. My attempt to appeal has failed on 3 Lemmy social sites - even after I tried notifying the mods on the third Lemmy server site before making the post, so I need your help now!
I felt after Inside Edition uploaded that blurred 9yo girl video… I thought to myself “That’s the last straw!” Someone needs to protest these absurd censorship laws that they apply to the female human!
Why can males show most of their body but females can’t? - In most cases that is? Whatever happened to "Free The Nipple"?
Children should have the same… rights to do things as any adult! It’s about possessing the knowledge capacity and I.Q level to safely execute this action. E.G, on those “Family Day” episodes of The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal; those kids made smart choices when picking the correct numbers to items to win a prize.
I’m not joking around here! This type of treatment towards the female human needs to stop - this includes race and age. - It’s like racist people, but in age form.
Does it look like I’m laughing for fun? Of course not! Since no one else is protesting this, and YouTube has a flawed comment moderating system hindering my ability to post on even random videos (I.E, "ghosting"), I have to take more drastic measures to protest by stepping up to the plate and shouting out “Can’t we all be equal in terms of a huge variety of traits?” Yeah, the last thing I need is a vein-bleeding broken-record robot impeding or hindering my ability to seek answers to a question!
We need to learn to appreciate or accept how the female body appears regardless of race and age!
Stop trying to blame it all on me! None of the stuff in the vids posted, is that. If it was, Inside Edition would be the guilty party, and Youtube for not having already deleted them. If it doesn’t violate Youtube’s TOS, it should be fine to post anywhere. If there was even a hint of impropriety to it, at the minimum the vid would have been age restricted.
No one would answer! Not even Inside Edition themselves were willing to offer an answer when I even found their email address, the sites dedicated to helping those in mental, suicidal, or emotional distress (those forum sites even PERMA-banned me for "spam" - that's right, SPAM! (Even though there was absolutely no mention of a permanent ban or rule about "spam" in their forum guidelines!) Is that the definition of "spam" when I make a bad thread only once?! And when I try to appeal the ban, the same message "please contact the administrator if it was done in error" is blocking my ability to click the contact button! Or sometimes it's a blank white page with that message in the top left corner of the window! - Which adds more insult to injury, because I can't click anything as all the buttons have disappeared! That means I can't log out of that site either!), OR the adult video forums that support uncensored nudity images would accept that video link URL let alone the entire topic itself! So I really am at a loss for thoughts and words on what I just experienced! Heck, I even tried the professional therapists of talkingforchange.ca But even they too were too reluctant to talk as they claim my post regarding the censorship of women is not for their platform and they disconnected the chat 2 seconds after their last reply to me. And I highly doubt that ANY site will allow me to illustrate with a picture of the Napalm Girl (Phan Thi Kim Phuc) when she was 9, certain pictures of Pampers diaper boxes (why do you think they (Pampers, Huggies, etc.) even allow a pic of a topless little boy or girl to be plastered on a diaper box we see in grocery stores/supermarkets everyday?), Leela when she was an infant in the episode Leela's Homeworld, or even Belgium's famous kids: Manneken Pis/Jeanneke Pis. That, combined with YouTube having a flawed comment moderating system hindering my ability to post comments on certain-to-random videos (I.E, "ghosting"), I'm forced to take more drastic measures to get my messages across. All this combined, ~I'VE NEVER FELT SO SHUNNED FROM THE INTERNET IN ALL MY LIFE!~
But here's a strange catch: sometimes on some sites, Napalm Girl is censored, other sites she isn't. So I felt that I need to protest this. It seems everyone is too chicken to even start this subject! Don't these numbskulls know not to judge a book by it's cover?! This is where I ask myself "NOW WHAT?!". This can't be one of those "exceptional" cases where they say "suicide never solves anything" doesn't apply to these types of situations. In other words, all hope for resolving these types of situations really is lost. I really do feel left in the dark on both the subject of sound effects and nudity!
Once more, I'm not being a ped, I'm protesting all these absurd censorship rules and regulations that revolve around the female human - regardless of race and age - after what Inside Edition posted. Watch the videos I found again for clarification. In other words, ~the inconsistencies of female human censorship~.
Can you really - you know, hurl insults at Inside Edition or blast them for what they did? It was their idea to publicly publish the footage. Just like how that one photographer made the choice to publicly publish footage of the Napalm Girl when she was 9 and completely nude. Therefore, it should be ok to share this footage anywhere.
But some areas censored Napalm Girl's nipples, but others did not - excluding her groin. Then there's the diaper boxes I found in any supermarket. And finally... Surprise surprise: typical women being scolded by other people for wearing something "inappropriate" or "showing too much of their body". I look around and since no one else is protesting about this, I might as well do it! After all, someone's gotta step up to the plate to hit that ball! I will not sit idling by the sidelines and continue to watch the female human get treated/censored like this! I will stand up, step up, and speak out towards these absurd reactions, rules, and regulations that revolve around the appearance and censorship of the female body! What about the famous Jeanneke Pis in Belgium? Do you think she along with other nude statues are trying to promote pedophilia?

2024.05.19 11:55 davemcl37 Camping cool box question

Going to be camping at a youth hostel in the UK for a few days over half term. I was planning on bringing an electric cool box with me but
A) will it stay cool enough if I plug it into the car for a couple of hours each day B) can I leave it plugged into the electric in the hostel or C) do I not need it because I can use the fridge in The hostel?
All I know is that as a camper at a YHA I can make use of the facilities as I would if I was staying in the actual hostel.

2024.05.19 11:50 wapreck 5 Mistake that Car buyers do!

There are some points that I noticed some car buyers do when purchasing their new car! Some of these things I have personally experienced myself!

1: Sunroof

I know it totally depends on taste, and frankly, a sunroof is okay, but a panoramic sunroof is not. India is a hot climate country, and while a mini sunroof heats the cabin a bit, a panoramic sunroof doubles it to boiling point. If parked under the sun, even with the curtain on, the AC has to work twice as hard, and your fuel efficiency goes for tank. Some pros and cons of panoramic sunroof

2: Black Color

Black color is nice and all, but it isn’t cheap to maintain (scratches are easily visible). It takes all your time and money to keep it shining. I know PPF will help, but again, you are spending more. Plus, another point is heat. It absorbs a lot of heat, and the cabin gets very hot. Again, the AC needs to work twice as hard, and fuel efficiency suffers. (I have a black car) Just don’t go with Black because another person also brought it.

3: Extended Warranty and Accessories

There is no need to buy hefty price accessories from showroom that too basic one. Should Avoid! them at all costs. Many people don’t know that there is a vast difference between factory warranty and extended warranty, as covered in this article. Extended warranty never covers your whole car compared to factory warranty. You can also buy an extended warranty on the last day of the factory warranty's expiration by just paying an extra Rs 1000 (Hyundai). I don’t think it’s beneficial to pay upfront for something that starts after 3 years. On the last day, judge for yourself whether you really need it. If you have low running, you don’t need it. (Most of buyer never claim extended warranty)

4: Buying Top Model only!

Who’s buying the Nexon for 19L and the Creta for 25L? Those are some overpriced models. The top model doesn’t always mean the best; even the 2nd and 3rd top models can fulfill your needs. Buy a car model based on your needs, not desires, because you already chosen the right car that meets all your requirements. You can save money for other things like accessories and more.

5: SUV only!

People are buying tall hatchbacks in the name of SUVs. You should reconsider your decision. Today, hatchbacks come with good ground clearance. For example, the Baleno and i20 have 170mm, while the Punch has 187mm, which is enough. The Baleno and i20 also offer plenty of space, comfort, and features. True SUVs are more like the Scorpio-N.
There is also one point about Petrol/Diesel, but I’ll cover that another day. I know these opinions can be subjective, and you might not agree with me, which is okay. Instead, we can have a healthy discussion in the comment section.

There were often bad fights but three stand out
The night the table got nailed to the floor. He nailed the legs back on a table he broke
But was drunk and nailed the table upside down to the floor
He lost is shit
So she put us in the car and we went to delta sonic for a super kiss. They just had regular soap back then but it was cool
Later on was when the whale figurine got thrown and nearly broke the 60 gallon saltwater tank
That time we went delta sonic had the blue foam
It was so pretty and we had such a good time looking at it and thinking about that instead of the chaos and pain
We went there a lot
But you know what my family is fucking crazy sure
But none of us is as batshit as our Karen neighbor
Who called the cops bc she was afraid the boat in the driveway was gonna fall off the trailer and somehow slide all the way across the street with no water
And crash into her living room through the picture window
And nobody is as insane as the neighbor who chewed me out for grabbing a leaf off a treee

2024.05.19 11:15 powerpuffgal7 Warning - Do not fill up your petrol tank at big tesco!

I recently filled up my tank at the big tesco extra petrol station in Eastville and now my car won't start. It fully stopped moving mid drive the other day and the mechanic couldn't detect any faults with the car. Now it won't fire up at all. Its not the battery, that's working fine.
I think the petrol I topped up with was contaminated. It happened before at the same station in 2018. Anyone else having the same issue?

2024.05.19 11:06 iamtheneek XC90 2007 3.2 Engine light on

Hey everyone. So I just recently bought a used XC90 3.2 and today I got the engine light on during a trip (dont know exactly when it turned on but noticed 10/15 min into roadtrip). I haven’t been to the mechanic as it was sunday and I still don’t know if I’ll have time to during this week due to work. Anyways, the check engine light came on, solid yellow light. No performance issues, no fluids leaking, no temperature change, no weird smokes or fumes, no milky oil, solid start and stable idle, no rough running, fuel efficiency stayed the same, the car is basically the exact same as before. The only thing I noticed happened was when I filled up the tank before my trip, petrol/gas was filled up reaching outside of the inner entrance of the fuel filling hole (english is not my first language, sorry). 10/15 min after that I noticed the engine light on, might’ve been on as soon as I left the gas station. Other than that, the car is perfectly fine and drives just as any other day. Before I go to the mechanic, any ideas of what I should try out? Thanks!

2024.05.19 10:26 boredofwheelchair Hypothetically, what do you think would happen if not enough shareholders vote for Tesla’s recommendations and Elon doesn’t get his $56 billion renumeration package?

I believe that Elon has threatened to stand down and it could apparently affect the stock price, whilst it might affect the stock price which isn’t necessarily a bad thing as Tesla is overvalued as a tech company rather than a car manufacturer. It would affect Elon’s wealth as well so he wouldn’t want the stock price to be too adversely affected unless he decided that the best way would be to tank Tesla’s stock price and take Tesla private.
I suppose he could walk and start a new rival company but he’d have to start from scratch without any of Tesla’s IP and that could be tricky and he’d need a ludicrous amount of start up capital just to launch production without considering development costs of new models.
I think it’s kinda amazing how Tesla only makes 5 models, 6 including the Semi Truck which I don’t think is fully launched yet and is valued as it is, it is losing ground to competitors who are making different products, I am surprised that we haven’t had a Tesla van yet something to compete with the Mercedes Sprinter. I actually think a new CEO could be interesting for Tesla.

2024.05.19 10:11 crumbsandsuch Considering taking out of my 401k

Hey everyone. I’m not the best with money so be nice lol. Just need some advice.
I’m 23. I went through a lot these last few years and made some shitty financial decisions. For example I bought a car 3 years ago and now I’m way upside down in the loan. I owe 18k and the car is worth 10k.
I have 3k in credit card debt and 1.5k in very high interest personal loans. I also have 20k in student loans. My credit score tanked last year. I was stuck for a long time in a serving job and now I owe almost 2k on my taxes. I literally made 35k last year and now I make around 42k.
Things are improving but I’m falling behind on the credit card payments and I’m struggling every month to make ends meet. I am going for a promotion at my job which should bring in a few more dollars an hour. I also got my last semester of college fully funded through my work, so no more student loans. The plan is to be in a salaried position at my company by the end December (65k), and I have several people working closely with me to make sure it happens but obviously there’s no guarantee.
My question is do I take out a portion of my old 401k (it’s been sitting in an account from my job two years ago) so I can survive until things get better. I have 7k in the account. I just recently started contributing to a 401k through my new job. I’m thinking of taking out half and rolling over the other half. With half of the account I can pay the 2000 I owe on my taxes, sit some of the money in a high yield savings (I have no emergency fund rn), and put the rest toward my credit cards to reduce the amount of bills I have to pay every month. Otherwise I’ll keep living by my same budget and trying to cut costs wherever possible.
I know this is a huge, huge, huge no no in personal finance, and I’m losing myself hundreds of thousands of dollars in a few decades. My hope is that by finishing school and making a more comfortable wage I can contribute a higher percentage to my retirement accounts soon, and pay myself back some of what I took out. I wouldn’t be considering it but I feel like I have no other way to come up with the 2k for my taxes.
Any advice is more than appreciated!

2024.05.19 09:46 drulers_007 Need new SUV, OTD 45k budget

My budget is 45k USD, need to buy a new SUV, I drive around 8000 miles / year. Requirements- AWD is a must, since I live in PNW. Heated steering wheel is must. Interiors need to be little above basic. Exterior doesn’t care. Do not need a European. I am planning to do car camping, if I get a SUV. Me & wife, currently own a german sedan, so this would be our second car.
Currently shortlisted CRV hybrid, I like 2024 Santa Fe hybrid but SEL trim is very basic for 47k OTD in PNW, so out of budget.
Please recommend?

2024.05.19 09:43 Dependent-Ad2934 Easy train + bike recs in Scotland?

Advice please!
I live in Glasgow, and I'm looking for recommendations of places to go train-plus-bikepacking with my five year old. I drag all our camping gear in our trailer, and there's a limit to how long my daughter will sit on the bike, so we need the following:
So far the list of places I've found is as follows:
Largs.
Yep, that's it! It's an hour from Glasgow by train, has a lovely off-road cycle route all the way to Kelburn campsite, and once you're there there's loads to do without a car - forest trails, little cafe, the water, amazing ice cream. There's even a tiny soft play!

2024.05.19 09:07 ski-mon-ster Christmas tree

Christmas tree
As I have the famous Xmas tree in lights I wonder if there is a way to shut them off. I ruled out every issue, the code said the issue was in the cat. Cat doesn’t rattle and exhaust fumes are good so cat is fine. As I drive on LPG, which is cleaner, that makes sense.
So long story short, it must be the sensor. But, my car is a bit rusted (it’s entire life -07 and 200K miles in Northern Europe and Alps for skiing so it has seen salt) and according to my mechanic I cannot get to the sensor to clean it without breaking the cat, needing to exchange the entire thing. That cat replacement is really expensive here so I rather not do that.
So I accept that it is what it is, just a sensor. Car runs great. It’s just annoying that I constantly look at those lights and that I don’t have traction control and ABS. The first I couldn’t care less but ABS would be nice.
Question 1: Is there a way to re engage Traction Control and ABS without fixing the sensor? Not sure why they are turned off cause doesn’t really seem to be connecting issues 🤷🏼‍♀️
Question 2: Or, as many older cars I had did not have TC and ABS so I don’t really need it: is there a way to just get rid of those lights? It gets serviced every year so if there is something going on. And then still: as the lights are on constantly already, I wouldn’t notice any othe new issue anyway.

Using the Carbon-Off Gel, I was surprised by just how powerful it was in removing carbon buildup from my metal surfaces. I initially applied it on my griddle, which was incredibly coated with carbon, and to my delight, it worked wonders. The gel's fast-acting formula saved me time and effort that I would have spent scrubbing thoroughly.
However, I encountered a slightly concerning issue when I accidentally sprayed some on my kitchen mixer. The gel stripped the paint right off, leaving a shiny metallic surface. It's evident that this product is highly potent, and caution should be exercised to avoid any unintentional damage. Proper safety measures like gloves and eyewear are strongly advised.
Overall, Carbon-Off Gel is an effective solution for cleaning carbon buildup on metal surfaces. Its efficiency and quick action are undeniable, but users should be mindful of its potency to prevent any unintended consequences.

I've been using the Comstar Zip Clean for a while now, and I must say, it's been quite the lifesaver! This heavy-duty metal degreaser and carbon cleaner easily tackles mineral oil-based oils and hardened carbon. What I love most about it is the convenience of the jet spray machine or dip cleaner for non-aluminum parts. It makes cleaning so much more efficient and less messy.
As for the company, ComStar International Inc. , they're truly leading the way in environmentally safe, industrial strength chemical products. Their dedication to creating a more extensive range of specialty products is impressive. Plus, being a proudly American-made product, it's great to know where it comes from.
However, like anything, there are a few downsides too. For instance, it can be a bit harsh on certain surfaces, so it's essential to use it with caution. Also, it's not recommended for aluminum parts, so always make sure you're using it on the right materials.
Overall, the Comstar Zip Clean is a reliable, efficient, and eco-friendly product that I've grown to rely on in my daily life.

As a car enthusiast, I've tried many engine cleaners, but none quite like the XADO Engine Oil System Cleaner with Anti-Carbon Effect. With its deep engine cleaning properties, it eliminated all sorts of contaminants and sludge from my engine's oil system, resulting in improved performance.
One of the highlights for me was its versatility, as it was suitable for all engine types, including turbo-supercharged engines. It was easy to use too - simply add it to my engine oil before an oil change. However, I did notice one downside - it's not the most cost-effective product on the market.
But overall, the XADO Engine Oil System Cleaner exceeded my expectations. It not only improved my engine's performance but also gave me peace of mind knowing that I was taking proper care of my car's engine. Highly recommended for those looking for a top-notch engine cleaner!

As a reviewer, I've been using Motor Power Care's Advanced Carbon Cleaner for my gasoline engine, and I must say, it has been a game-changer. The product's formula, containing advanced technology, helps reach deep areas and dissolve and remove carbon deposits with ease. It's non-corrosive and safe for both gasoline and diesel engines, making it a versatile option for different engine types.
One of the most notable aspects of this cleaner is its ease of use. Simply shake the can, warm up the engine, and spray the cleaner into the combustion chamber through an access port. Let it react for 20 minutes, then extract the resulting emulsion with a vacuum. Repeat this process for each cylinder, and the engine will thank you with improved performance and efficiency.
However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. I encountered a minor issue during my testing phase. I had to use a vacuum to clean the resulting emulsion, which, although convenient, required me to invest in a vacuum cleaner if I didn't already have one.
Overall, Motor Power Care's Advanced Carbon Cleaner has been a fantastic addition to my engine maintenance routine, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others in search of an effective and easy-to-use carbon cleaner.

The CARBON-OFF Heavy Duty Carbon Remover is a game-changer for anyone dealing with stubborn carbon buildup on various surfaces. Recently, I tried it out on my barbecue grill, and let me tell you, it worked wonders! The gel formula is simple to apply and the wait time is flexible, depending on the extent of the buildup. It's also safe for use on aluminum.
However, I'd be remiss not to mention that some of the chemicals in the formula had a strong smell that lingered a bit after use. But, the convenience of easily removing carbon without having to scrub for hours made the slight inconvenience worth it.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a quick and effective solution to combat carbon buildup, give the CARBON-OFF Heavy Duty Carbon Remover a try. It's a lifesaver for those who hate cleaning their grills.

The attached measuring cup was a handy bonus, ensuring exact measurements for a cleaner and more efficient fuel system. However, I noticed that the product did not come with any warranty information, which may be a concern for some users.

The highlight of this cleaning solution was its ability to remove even the toughest contaminants like rust and scale without any issues. After using it, the stainless steel parts looked as good as new, and I could see why it's called a heavy-duty electrolyte solution. The product's non-toxic nature and CFIA & South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), NSF certification made me feel confident about handling and using it.
However, I must admit that the 54A006SURFOX-T Heavy Duty Electrolyte Solution worked a bit faster at times than I expected, but that didn't take away from its effectiveness. The only downside was that the cleaning solution had a mild odor, which wasn't very pleasant to work with.
In conclusion, the Walter Surface Technologies 54A006 Weld Cleaning Solution proved to be a reliable and efficient product for cleaning and restoring the appearance and integrity of stainless steel parts. I recently used the Blaster Parts Washer Solvent in my garage to clean up some greasy engine parts, and I must say, it certainly lived up to its name. This solvent can cut through cutting oil and motor oils with ease, leaving parts residue-free and sparkling clean.
The high flashpoint formula at 145°F ensures it's safe to use on all metals, most plastics, and even painted surfaces without causing any damage. I was particularly impressed with the way it performed on my metal and paint pieces.
The only downside I experienced was that it seemed to wear away the paint on the parts washers themselves. Despite this minor issue, I would still recommend the Blaster Parts Washer Solvent for its stellar all-around performance.

As a gun enthusiast, I was always on the lookout for a reliable and safe cleaning solution for my firearms. That's when I stumbled upon the Carbon Pro 16oz Trigger Spray. The first thing I noticed was its versatile size options, which meant I could conveniently carry it with me on my hunting trips.
Upon trying it out, I noticed the cleaner was ammonia-free and water-based, which made it a safer choice for me and the environment. The proprietary blend of chemical surfactants and detergents in Carbon Pro effectively removed heavy carbon and lead deposits from the bore of my firearms without causing any damage to the steel surface.
The lack of noxious fumes and hazardous chemicals made Carbon Pro a safer alternative to traditional gun bore cleaners. Plus, it actually worked! I appreciated how the gun cleaner spray bottle made it easy to target and thoroughly clean the bore.

One of the highlights of this product has been the significant improvement in fuel economy and acceleration. As someone who relies heavily on my car for daily life, this was a truly game-changing feature that I haven't experienced with gas treatments before.
However, there were a few minor downsides to note. Although the product is advertised as suitable for all fuel types, there were instances where the fuel economy didn't improve as much as expected. Additionally, there were instances where the car's performance didn't show an immediate improvement, which left me feeling a bit skeptical about the product's effectiveness.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I ultimately found the CRC 05063 Guaranteed to Pass Emissions Test Formula to be a worthwhile investment in maintaining my car's performance and emissions standards.

As an outdoor enthusiast, I've been on the lookout for a reliable and compact tool to carry on my adventures. I chose the Gerber Armbar Scout multi-tool for its promise of versatility and compactness.
I was pleasantly surprised by the tool's sleek design, which conveniently fit into the pocket of my backpack. One of the first features I noticed was the stainless steel construction, giving the tool a sturdy feel while keeping it lightweight.
One of my favorite aspects of the Gerber Armbar Scout was its ability to open various packages with minimal effort. The can/package opener was a lifesaver during a camping trip when I needed a quick snack. The 2 1/2'' plain edge blade proved to be sturdy, allowing me to make precise cuts with ease.
However, I did encounter some difficulties with the locking mechanism of the blade, which required a certain level of force to engage. While this wasn't a dealbreaker, it did cause a little bit of frustration during use.
In conclusion, the Gerber Armbar Scout multi-tool serves its purpose as an essential companion for outdoor enthusiasts. Its small size and versatility were impressive, but I did encounter minor annoyances with the locking mechanism. Overall, I would recommend this tool to anyone looking for a compact and reliable multi-tool to take on their next adventure.

🔗Ultimate Emergency Slim Pocket Knife

https://preview.redd.it/gpkbke1nyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e199e58ae71262c188260a8a345f7c02982fce07
As an emergency situation arises, every moment counts. That's when the CRKT Exitool comes in handy, offering a fast and reliable solution for cutting seat belts and breaking windows.
The slim profile makes it easy to conceal, while the textured grip ensures a firm hold. In my own experience, the Exitool has been a lifesaver, with the glass-reinforced handle providing durability and the safety cone tip cover protecting the window breaker while stowed.
The only downside? . The compactness might make it a bit challenging for those with larger hands to use. Overall, the Exitool is a reliable and versatile emergency tool that helps you stay prepared for any unexpected situation.

🔗Gerber Pledge Knife: High-Quality Emergency Cutting Tool

https://preview.redd.it/hif5giinyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74bf93d396fca0e79ec922f48a65446e4a9a7498
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Gerber Crisis Hook Knife, and I must say, it's a lifesaver in emergency situations. This sleek and durable tool is designed specifically for quickly and safely cutting through seat belts, clothes, and even heavy straps or cords. Its lightweight design and smooth operation make it a game-changer when time is of the essence.
One of the most notable features of this knife is its integrated oxygen tank wrench, which adds extra versatility and functionality in life-saving situations. The glass breaker pommel included in the package also comes in handy when encountering obstacles that may hinder your ability to assist someone in need.
While the Crisis Hook Knife has several impressive features, it's not without its drawbacks. The friction lock sheath can be tricky to attach to certain surfaces, and the clip may not be as convenient as advertised. Additionally, the knife's handle, while comfortable and easy to grip, could benefit from a more secure attachment to a tactical belt.
In conclusion, the Gerber Crisis Hook Knife is an invaluable tool for first responders and anyone who needs to quickly and safely cut through various materials in emergency situations. Its lightweight design, versatility, and straightforward operation make it a must-have in your arsenal. Just be prepared to address some minor issues, such as the friction lock sheath and the clip's functionality.

🔗Al Mar Stinger Keychain Knife for Self-Defense

I recently tried out the Al Mar K1001BKG Stinger Keyring Knife in Green. The first thing that caught my attention was the compactness of the knife. With it being such a small size, it's incredibly easy to discreetly attach it to my keychain while still remaining convenient to access whenever it's needed.
The TPR overmolded grip proves to be an excellent feature, providing a non-slip hold, even while my hands are sweaty or in wet conditions. The dual-injected PP sheath adds an extra layer of protection, making it suitable for everyday use without worrying about damaging the blade.
The blade itself has an impressively sharp edge, allowing me to open letters and boxes with ease, yet also offers a sturdy protection for instances of self-defense. Being an advocate for quality tools, I found the Stinger to deliver that expected performance from the reputed AL MAR brand.
However, I noticed that for harder tasks, the blade feels somewhat delicate. One would have to handle it carefully or opt for a more robust knife for such situations, potentially compromising the ultralight key ring knife design. Despite this, overall this knife performs well, and its convenient size and efficient design make it a must-have for those who value versatility and efficiency in a concealed blade on their keychain.

The glass breaker is also convenient, though I haven't had to use it yet.
One thing that stood out is the carabiner's simple and lightweight design, making it the perfect keychain or hanging tool for my camping trips and other outdoor adventures. Despite its compact size, the carabiner is surprisingly strong and easy to use, with the locking mechanism providing a secure fit. As someone who loves being prepared for any situation, I was thrilled to try out the Sheffield Wilco 4-in-1 Carabiner Multi-Tool. The anodized black aluminum carabiner is both lightweight and versatile, making it perfect for everyday carry. The convenience of foldable flat-head and Phillips screwdrivers, along with a sturdy 3-inch serrated blade, ensures that I can tackle tough jobs with ease.
While I appreciate the strength provided by the 420 stainless steel attachments, I did notice that the carabiner isn't suitable for weight support, and it is best to use it more for its attachments. However, considering the multiple functionalities it offers, this small drawback seems like a fair trade. Overall, the Sheffield Wilco 4-in-1 Carabiner Multi-Tool is a reliable and efficient tool that has become an essential part of my daily life.

🔗Versatile Carabiner Knife with Stainless Steel Blades

https://preview.redd.it/shmwro6pyb1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=24b2f235811faab265e25c7fb6e1521235d6d985
As a seasoned outdoor enthusiast, I recently got my hands on the Dakine Hook Knife and let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations! This hook knife is designed for easy accessibility and it certainly lives up to its promise. It can be attached to your harness at any point for a quick and convenient deployment, making it a must-have tool for those seeking adventure and the great outdoors.
One of the main features that stood out to me was its dual stainless steel cutting blades that effortlessly sliced through even the toughest cut lines. The anodized aluminum handle not only adds a sleek touch, but it also provides a comfortable grip that makes it a breeze to use. Additionally, the included sheath for easy harness attachment is an added bonus, guaranteeing the safe carrying of this versatile tool.
While I was impressed by the performance and convenience of the Dakine Hook Knife, I did notice a downside: oxidation. After just six months of use, the aluminum handle started to display signs of oxidation. Of course, this won't affect the functionality, but it does make me wonder whether a more durable material like titanium or carbon fiber might be a better long-term choice.
Despite this minor issue, the Dakine Hook Knife has become a trusted companion on my various outdoor excursions. Its user-friendly design and powerful functionality have really made a difference in my adventures, whether I'm camping or trekking. For anyone in need of an easy-to-carry hook knife that gets the job done, I would highly recommend giving the Dakine Hook Knife a try.

The plain edge blade was also impressive, easily piercing through tough materials. Despite its size, it's surprisingly powerful and perfect for cutting tasks on the go.
The tool's design, with large tool tabs and access points, was user-friendly. It allowed me to switch between the scissors and the blade without any fumbling. The bottle opener was a convenient addition, adding versatility to the tool.
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The scissor's spring mechanism felt a bit flimsy, and I had to be careful while using it to avoid any accidents. Also, the blade's deployment could be smoother for a more natural and comfortable use.
Overall, the Armbar Slim Cut Multi-Tool is a robust and versatile everyday carry tool. It's perfect for those who need a reliable, lightweight, and multifunctional item for various tasks. Despite a few drawbacks, I'm confident that this will be a valuable addition to many people's toolboxes.

The Civivi Polymorph carabiner multitool has become a handy companion in my outdoor adventures. The anodized titanium body is quite durable and serves as a perfect casing for its versatile features. The carabiner clip is a fantastic addition, allowing me to attach the tool to my backpack or gear, keeping it close at hand when needed.
One of the most useful aspects is the 9Cr18MoV scalpel blade, which makes this multitool an excellent option for opening bottles or cutting through some rope. However, the hex bit driver lacked enough leverage for me to fully appreciate it during my camping trips.
The choice between the plain titanium and bronzed titanium finish adds a personal touch to the overall design, making it a stylish and practical accessory for any outdoor enthusiast. While the Civivi Polymorph has its pros and cons, I find it a valuable addition to my outdoor gear lineup.

🔗Portable 8-in-1 Multi-Tool with Key Ring

The Cabela's Silver Pocket Tool was an unexpected pocket companion in my daily life. It was a great multitasker that never failed to provide convenience on-the-go, and its anodized aluminum handle always gave me a sense of sturdy stability. I found myself using it more than I expected, especially the knife, file, and flat-head screwdriver.
While the larger tools were great to have, the smaller ones sometimes felt a little lacking. The screwdriver and corkscrew had considerable wiggle room, which made me hesitant to use them on heavy-duty tasks. But in all honesty, for a tool of this versatility and portability, it wasn't too surprising to come across these slight disadvantages.
The Cabela's Silver Pocket Tool, in all its multi-tasking glory, did become a handy accessory to keep in my bag or backpack. I never regretted having it by my side during unexpected camping trips or when I needed to open a stubborn lid. But it's a device that's best suited for those who appreciate its versatility over precision.
Honestly, it's great to have such a multi-tasker with you, but it's not without its drawbacks. It's a case of compromises, as it seems. With the Cabela's Silver Pocket Tool, you're sacrificing a bit of precision for that all-important portability factor. Is it worth it? That depends on your own priorities. But for those who need a tool that can do a little bit of everything in a pinch, this is indeed the handy gadget you've been hunting for.
So, all in all, the Cabela's 8-In-1 Pocket Tool might just be a perfect fit for your next adventure. But remember, it's not without its imperfections. It all comes down to balancing your needs and understanding its limitations.

Blade Type

Carabiner knives typically come with a variety of blade types, such as a hunting or skinning blade, a utility or general-purpose blade, or a multipurpose blade. Choose the type that best suits your intended usage of the knife.

This guy appears in your mirror what are you doing to make sure you don't die?
Rules: you know it's him, and he wants you dead. All traffic and police don't exist like in initial d. it is a two lane street but no where to pull over for at least 30km. It has to be the current car your driving irl in this scenario and you have a full tank of fuel

2024.05.19 08:37 Head_Blacksmith_2035 Why an inside informant of BO in PSB/NPA makes more sense now

Why an inside informant of BO in PSB/NPA makes more sense now
Firstly I would like to say a couple of words regarding Scotch's death.
https://preview.redd.it/xo2mqpft8b1d1.png?width=1131&format=png&auto=webp&s=c5bfd8cf53c9dca1d136f801f1b347dc1e42568f
This was the last words from Scotch to Rei. Possibly over a text message as Scotch wanted to destroy his smartphone. He already had cut all contacts, meaning the only people they could trace via his phone were Rei and other agents helping him with his infiltration work.
But the two interesting points are
a) Someone tipped BO about Scotch. Cause they figured out that Scotch belonged to PSB, which is a detailed information.
b) Someone tipped Scotch about the information leak. That person wasn't Shuichi else Scotch would have believed him better.
So there could be a BO mole, no now I say there has to be a BO mole inside the Police and another mole inside BO (who told Scotch about this breach.)
Now what kind of a mole in Police we are looking for ?
a) Someone who knew Scotch and his affiliation but never knew that his full name.
b) If that person would have come across Sherry then he/she would have triggered her at least once.
In camping ground case Haibara got triggered during the presence of both Rumi and Kuroda. Now both are shown to have no links with BO. So who triggered her ?
My bet is on Kuroda. Kuroda triggered her.
This trigger,
Now there are other two pieces of evidence against Kuroda
This is Rum demanding info on Kudo Shinichi
Bourbon is worried to divulge much to Kuroda
So both Rum and Kuroda seemed to have ask for the same info from Bourbon. For some reason Bourbon can't reveal anything to Kuroda that had transpired at the tea party.
Pretty soon Rum confronts him,
The traitor remark.
Rum needs to know two things which would make him suspicious of Bourbon.
a) Bourbon is giving old information to trick him.
b) He needs to know that the information provided by Bourbon is not really updated or genuine.
To know this Rum needs to have another source of information who can verify/contradict Bourbon's claims with a fair certainty.
This all points to a mole inside of PSB/NPA, now we never saw Kuroda and Amuro meeting face to face, as of now all their conversations happen to be telephonic. Could be a security arrangement where they don't meet for the sake of the cover.
Now there seems to be another instance where Amuro has confided in Kazami about a mission regarding the second mysterious old man. For some reason Kuroda is also kept in dark regarding it.
https://preview.redd.it/uu5moxn7mb1d1.png?width=2785&format=png&auto=webp&s=c34a1029534472bfee5eec18e3d99c2eacaf44c1
Also we see Kuroda and Iori discussing how the latter has met Amuro in the cafe.
Their conversation is interesting.
Kuroda and Iori are old acquaintances but both of them were connected to a mission where Iori used the alias Sakakibara for his undercover work. That mission was depressing for Iori. Plus Iori knows Amuro. Amuro also seems to know Iori.
Kuroda virtually didn't need to confirm whether it was really Iori who was at the cafe or not because if he really was Iori then the whole interaction is not a threat. If he had been a BO member, that too is not a threat as Amuro too is a BO member and loyalty testing isn't something Amuro should be running away. This whole interaction seems to be Kuroda is just asking Iori but in the background it seems to point that Kuroda is gauging how much Iori knows in reality.
Plus Kuroda might not be real at all. He could have been a BO member who killed the original one after the original one woke up from Coma or in between the 7 years when he was employed after getting up. Conan has no way of discerning if he is the real Kuroda who was present at the Juke Hotel or a fake who knew/figured out the case and can meticulously spew gibberish to give Conan a false impression.
Rumi knows Rum's voice
She knows Kuroda's voice
She has also heard Tsutomu's voice.
She was bewildered.
So if she figures out it was Kuroda's voice whom she considers as Amanda and Kohji's killer according to Kuroda then her reaction doesn't make much sense.
Also if she knew that Kuroda was innocent and she had identified his voice, she won't be bewildered rather would take a sigh of relief that he wasn't Rum.
It seems this voice is alien to her and very likely if there was really a struggle between Rumi and Kuroda, this man was never a part of it.
Also something doesn't make sense about Kuroda's accident.
His left eye was more exposed to the accident.
USA has right hand drive that implies to the steering wheels at the left end of the dashboard. So if the Car was rammed from the left Kuroda's left side would have been more likely to get damaged, but instead his right eye got poked. Also Asaka fleeing from a burning car in front of that many witnesses and nobody saw her at least tended her (as she too would have been heavily injured) sounds too fishy.
Bonus : The current Kuroda boasts an excellent sense of smell. A long coma generally dulls one's sense of smell and taste.
