Good Reasons to Start A Home-Based Travel Business

2024.05.15 12:10 Wonderful-Bat-2015 Good Reasons to Start A Home-Based Travel Business

Are you planning to set new goals for the upcoming year 2024? Do you wish to start a new business? If yes, now, you can consider initiating a new home-based travel business. No doubt, it is not for the overly determined industrialist who has a grand plan to collect millions in funding to try his hand at developing a successful business empire.
If you wish to start something new on a small scale with flexible hours, you can look ahead with a small start-up cost. Still, you can enjoy the potential of generating new part-time or even full-time earnings.
If you are interested then, here are the top 7 Good Reasons to Start A Home-Based Travel Business.

1: Make A Beginning With A Part-time Work

If you wish to make a beginning on a new business, the brand may start earning immediately. In the developing period of the business, you as well as your family will still be required to survive so having the flexibility of beginning very part-time so you can keep the present salary stream is essential.
If you are not presently working, by different means, go full force in trying to speed up the development of the new trade. Are you working with some company at present? With a home-based business, you will face no problem starting your travel business and finalizing the hours based on the current job requirements. No matter, whether it is related to answering an email inquiry from a client searching to book a trip, or contacting a business for quotes, one can manage the jobs during the lunch break, just before or right after work. Say thanks to social media, endorsing your business can be completed at any time of the day as long as there are businesses online.

2: No Fixed Education Or Training Compulsory

It varies on where you plan to have the physical business address, proper training is required which includes a manual and exam to sell travel legally. It is surely used in India. Meanwhile, the course must take more than a few days to a week to get ready for and the exams are available multiple choice. If you do research over the internet about how to start a travel business and generate genuine travel leads, you will come across different courses being promoted. It is not a compulsion and surely not something most present travelers have completed. If you consider that is something you require to familiarise yourself with the industry, you can surely go for it. However, it is not the right way to begin and operate a successful home-based travel trade.

3: Affordable Start-Up Cost

There are lots of reasons that make a home-based travel business quite attractive. Here, the start-up cost is quite minimal. According to your budget, you can customize your business. It is especially right if you join a host agency. The expert will give you the required training and resources that you are training and resources you require for the business. To make a beginning, you need to register for a small business for a couple of dollars according to the resident, and finish a compulsory training course. All you need to pay is a fee small to learn the techniques of the program. The Host Agency will let you sell travel under their legal registration numbers, and vendor business and give you an all-important resource that needs to travel trade from any remote area.

4: Everyone Love To Travel

When everything is ready in the setup, you are all set to endorse the travel business. Once, you are ready with the setup, you can easily endorse your business; there is no need to wonder if somebody will be willing to the product. No doubt, travel is considered a universal language, and everybody adores speaking it. All you require is to find and calculate what small niche within this giant business you wish to focus on and discover the people who are involved in the area. If you can do that, your client will face no problems during the travel. It becomes easy to support them in making their travel plans.

5: No Need To Have A Physical Office

Surely, it is a good fact that if you search for a home-based business, there will be no need to buy or rent some office space. It implies that you don’t need space to store office equipment. You do not require clients to walk in, and you don’t require housing a lot of staff. Moving a travel business from home has none of these needs as all that is necessary is for you to have a working PC, the internet, a mobile phone, and an email address. The above-mentioned points will surely help you with the right business solution without investing huge money.

6: The Benefits Are Just Wonderful

Some of the people begin their own travel businesses. Not for the extra earnings, but to enjoy the countless unbelievable travel perks that will make their life better. Tours and travel business ideas often get to contribute to all cost-paid or heavily discounted site examination trips to resorts at the renowned tourist ends in the world. Airlines and former travel product vendors offer “traveling business ideas” discounted costs for personal bookings. Moreover, you get to spend your work hours researching and educating personally about hundreds of unbelievable destinations and products. They make things simple for you to plan your trips with any finances.
Conclusion
No doubt, tours, and travel are some of the most popular and biggest consumer industries across the world and have huge annual revenue. It implies unrestricted earning potential, and one can make as much as one wishes.

2024.05.15 12:04 I_am_aqua18 Finally 🥹

I need some advices and insights for me to decide. After a few months of being unemployed, I finally receive 2 JO.
One is from Google Ads (CNX Makati) 40k+ offer, hybrid set-up and one is from BGC (healthcare - pioneer account) 35k offer onsite set-up.
For context, I've been in the industry for 5 years. I have 2 years experience in sales, 2 years in customer service (energy account) and 1 year in healthcare (inhouse). So I know that either the 2, I can handle and do the job. Kaso since almost 4 months na ako unemployed, nagkandautang-utang ako to continue supporting my fam and myself.
I'm thorn between choosing an account na mabilis ang promotion or 'yung job na mabilis akong makakabayad sa mga utang at makakaipon.
I'm also considering the travel time and convenience since 'yung sa Google is Ayala station lang then 'yung usa is BGC pa. Nahirapan kase ako sa commute ko before sa previous company ko which is also located in BGC dahil once makababa ka ng Ayala, need mo pa sumakay ng bgc bus or mag-book ng move-it/joyride na medyo pahirapan eh I'm from Malabon pa.
Para sainyo guys, which is the better choice?

2024.05.15 11:58 Downtown_Swan4093 How many of you want to save and travel the world, change jobs, have a stable structured life with compatible partner all the same time?

This is how my brain feels today. Literally scrambled eggs. Sometimes I wonder if I am bipolar or something else is wrong with me? I had a burnout last year. It was quite bad and now I feel I don’t know how to function in the society. Nothing makes sense. I wanna do something meaningful but at the same time I wanna have some fun and travel? Be independent but build my own business, which doesn’t go in pair with fun in travel. Are you guys also full of contradictions? And the worst thing I feel so stuck that I can’t make any decision. Not sure if that’s because of fear my adhd or any other bullshit. Does it sound familiar to you? If so could you share you story please?

2024.05.15 11:45 mncka14 Complained in railmadad for the first time

Hey guys I'm currently travelling to my home town in a SF 3-AC from Delhi. Journey is going good but at start when they asked about meal I asked the rate they said 200 for veg meal and 160 for veg Biryani, I was shocked like I don't pay this much on Zomato for one time meal so I skipped it.
Then other snacks vendors come they were selling non popular items (high margin items ) and selling unknown drinks in name of frooty . One man asked them to bring rail neer from pantry he gave him bilseri (not bisleri) and refused to give him rail neer and said ki "Lena hai to lo rail neer nahi la sakta".
After all this I got frustrated that they were looting the common man like I understand selling overpriced items but atleast follow the request of person asking for water so I complained on rail madad.
After 1 hour vendor came and asked me what I bought and what is the problem. I explained him that they are overcharging by more than twice amount. He started emotional drama that we are not on official job we get comission blah blah.
Then he asked me what I wanted he will give me in official price. I was little hungry so I asked him for veg biryani. He got me that. Although biryani was neither tasting anything biryani nor I received all the items mentioned in menu of irctc but I was like its ok. He also asked me to close complaint I'm think of doing that. Initially after his emotional drama I was feeling little guilty that he might get fired or whatsoever but then I thought of bigger picture that this is the starting of corruptuon and it will only grow like cancer so it was right to complaint.
Thats all , sorry for any punctuation I'm not good at it.

2024.05.15 11:39 SinfulVibin Quitting after a few days?

So, some context; This place is just opening up, and is a temporary 'only for the summer's kind of deal. I was immediately hired right after the interview and I took the job since I needed one.
Cut to two days after I've started. My commute is 2 hours both ways through downtown via bus and train. Normally I'm okay with that. Problem is a possible shift would end at 10 pm and traveling through the city alone isn't safe for me.
They're still interviewing people to hire, and I feel like I was just hired because I had some kind of relevant experience that could translate over.
Other points: I haven't signed any paperwork I'm scheduled to work every day this week despite it being part time I ended up coming home today around 6 and slept until 10, and was unable to do anything else due to lack of energy.
I'm not sure if I'm just overreacting since this place is brand new and they're a little unorganized and really the main reason I'd quit would be because of the commute and slight disorgination.

2024.05.15 11:35 Artisblarg S.o.s. stripper taxes. Assets being used for multiple businesses.

I have some questions. I need Reddit’s help.
I took out loans for a truck and an rv to pull it. I now mostly live in my rv. I have TWO jobs, I have a 1099 for one of them, the one that isn’t stripping. But I am an independent contractor for both, technically. Or maybe my 1099 job isn’t technically independent? Idk. All I know is that I have hella write offs.
I have hella write offs because I travel for work, consistently. If I didn’t have my rv, I would be paying for hotels & air bnbs. I just pay for campgrounds depending where I am.
So my biggest question is, what do I do if my expenses for the truck and rv are contributing to BOTH my self employments. Because, I will literally drive out to michigan to work at a music festival, and then also dance at the clubs out there, and go home.
Do I just deduct the expenses for the vehicle the same way on both businesses?
Im sure I have more questions. This shit is so confusing.
I’d love any and all information on this situation. Thanks

2024.05.15 11:32 always_pizza_time Should I include the fact that I work remotely in my profile?

I (28M) work in software development in tech and I'm essentially WFH 5 days a week (I can go into the office if I want to, but almost no one does because we all prefer WFH). Would the remote part be seen as something positive or negative if I were to include it in my profile? On the plus side, it means that I have a pretty cool job and I can work from anywhere, so I could travel a lot with my potential partner, and I also have better work life balance. However, I also run the risk of being perceived as a "digital nomad" who just goes to a new city every month and is incapable of settling down, when in fact I'm looking for a long term relationship. There's also a stigma around remote workers being lazy and not doing anything when they work from home, which couldn't be farther from the truth imo, but some might find going to the office and grinding 5 days a week more masculine. Ladies, how would you feel if someone said they worked remotely in their profile? Would it be a pro or a con to you?

2024.05.15 11:29 redreddie IT opportunity in the Philippines (12 years ago)

I travel to the Philippines often and when I retire soon I plan to spend about 6 months per year there. I have never worked there and probably never will but I often wonder about a possible opportunity that I may have had 12 years ago to work in Manila.
Twelve years ago I was getting laid off from the multi-national company that I worked for. They did give me the opportunity to find another job within the company. While I was looking I found a job post within my company for a job in Manila. I did IT work for HR at that time so I was able to look up salaries. I was making a little bit over $100k at the time and saw that jobs at my level in Manila made about US$60k. The job posting that I saw looked like it had been written by copying my resume, like it was a perfect fit for my skills. Coincidentally I had a vacation scheduled in the Philippines a week later which would get met back to the US to work for a week and then my layoff commencing. Not knowing if I even could work in the Philippines, I sent the hiring manager an email with my resume and explained that I would be in the Philippines shortly and although I didn't know my eligibility to work there, asked him if he wanted to meet. Right before I left on vacation I got a job in the US with a different company so at least the stress of being unemployed was gone and I looked forward to my vacation.
I got no response from the hiring manager before I left. However when I was on vacation the hiring manager contacted me. Apparently he was on vacation went I sent him the email and now he REALLY wanted to talk to me. In addition to responding to my email, he found me on Facebook and Linkedin and contacted me there as well. The whole idea of going to the Philippines to work seemed a little crazy to me so I declined to meet the hiring manager. The job I took in the US led to another, much better, job which I why I am able to travel so much and retire soon.
I often wonder "what if?" Would I even have been able to work in the Philippines? My company basically told me if I got a job like that I would in effect resign from the American company and be hired by the Philippine one even though they were actually the same company, as this would not be the situation of my company sending me to the Philippines as an ex-pat worker.
Does anyone have any insight as to what could have happened? As much as I think it would have been great to work in my vacation/retirement home, a lot could have (and probably would have) gone wrong with that path.

2024.05.15 11:28 DefiantSelection310 Applications to US roles from abroad

I am a US citizen that has been living in Germany and working primarily in IT audit for 10 years. Due to a company insolvency back in October, I have been actively applying for new roles the past 6 months. Other than a few verbal offers which were hit with "hiring freezes", I have not had luck as a restriction is I wish to remain in Berlin (and majority of jobs are Frankfurt/Munich). German companies are also not the most open for "remote" working with hybrid roles requiring in office 2-3 days per week.
With that being said, I have been actively using my network and trying to build new connections with potential offers. This includes looking at US IA functions that have European operations. I have not had luck thus far with my personalized connections to Head of Audits - any advice on how to better approach an IA opening in the US for the possibility of remote working from Europe? This is assuming the company has a global presence. Very open also for travel which I think helps compliment my profile.

2024.05.15 11:08 ThrowRA12779 I (24F) need to break up with my boyfriend (27M) but I don't know how. What do I say?

This requires quite a bit of context so apologies for the long post. I (24/F) have known my 'boyfriend' (27/M) for around 4 years now, and this current 'relationship' has been going for just under a year. The reason why I put 'relationship' and 'boyfriend' in quotation marks, is that he has never actually officially put a label on it, but he definitely doesn't consider it to be a situationship.
We have previously dated twice before and broken up twice, the first occasion he broke up with me, and the second time I broke up with him. The second break-up went really badly. He has struggles with drinking, using drugs and gambling, and also is a very poor communicator, and I broke up with him because I wasn't able to deal with the way he was taking it out on me. After the breakup, he went down a bad spiral and was really not doing well, and at the time I felt really responsible and guilty, I still do. When we first got back together, he often would make "jokes" about how I broke his heart and wrecked his life and how everyone around him hated me for that.
When we got back together, I was hoping he had changed and worked on things, as he did seem apologetic. However, over this year I have often felt like it was a mistake and I am firmly of the view that he is just not someone I want to have a future with. However, I have been finding it really hard to actually break it off. I am really worried about how he will receive the breakup, and I am scared of him reacting like last time. In the last breakup, it felt like he didn't really hear the reasons (which I thought were valid reasons to breakup), or at least he disagreed.
There are quite a few reasons why I know we won't work, and I'm trying to think of a way to say it that is honest but that hopefully doesn't send him spiralling or turn me into some kind of villain in his eyes again.
The reasons are: (1) I am a very motivated person, and despite my own struggles with my mental health - I have a successful career. He is quite the opposite and hates his job and has no direction in his life. He has been talking for years about finding a new job but has not taken one step to do so. I feel that this is on it's own an unfair reason to break up with him as it is not really his fault that he doesn't like working. In other areas of his life, he is also quite unmotivated - he doesn't have any hobbies, doesn't exercise, doesn't cook and is constantly ordering takeaway and doesn't plan holidays - he talks a lot about starting/doing that but doesn't take action and that really bothers me. I feel like his lack of motivation almost rubs off on me, when we are together, I see a really lazy side of myself that just lies around all day - when I'm not like that when I'm alone. I love to travel and plan holidays and I also could not see myself travelling with him.
(2) All of my friends and family strongly dislike him. My mom is putting a lot of pressure on me to break up with him, and my dad has said he has lost respect for me for continuing to date him. This has meant I can't bring him around any of my friends and family and it is really getting to me, I feel like he is totally isolated from the rest of my life and I cannot maintain a relationship that has to be totally separate from the rest of my personal life. In the past, he did not make an effort with my friends and family at all, which is why they dislike him - however, I haven't given him a chance this time around as they just refuse to be in his company. Again, I feel like this is a horrible thing to say to him.
(3) In the last four months, I lost a close relative and a pet, both took quite a toll on me personally. On both occasions, I reached out to him for support and he was totally absent and said he was too busy at work and having his own struggles. At the time, I felt bad for him and didn't want to burden him, but looking back I feel like I really want a partner who is there for the good and the bad and is able to support me. However, I feel like if I wanted to cite this as a reason to break up with him, I should have done it at the time, and now too much time has passed for me to bring it up as the reason. This specifically is a concern, because last time I broke up with him, I mentioned one event where he had bothered me (that had occurred two months before we broke up), and he said that if that was the reason for the break up (it wasn't, it was just a factor), then I should have done it at the time and not waited so long.
I am someone that is strongly of the view you should be honest in a breakup, because there is no point in lying but I also don't think it is necessary to be cruel or mean. At the end of the day, whilst I do not love him romantically at all anymore, I do really care about him.
tl;dr i want to break up with my bf because he is lazy and unmotivated, my family and friends hate him, and he failed to support me when I needed it but I'm worried about how he'll react.

2024.05.15 11:08 bqaddeftones I want to get into the healthcare field, would I be mistaken to attempt to try Radiation Therapy

I am 28 years old and have been struggling with what to do with my life. I dropped out of Civil Engineering school years ago and I have been on and off taking CC classes towards a Computer Science degree but I ended up dropping that because I felt like I could not go back to school (in person) at that time.
I remember thinking about Radiation Therapist as a possible career choice after my brother went through radiation therapy but that was almost 10 years ago. My brother was diagnosed with brain cancer and went through many hospital appointments which inspired me to get into the healthcare field because I wanted to help people and show compassion for those going through a bad time.
But, I am not a people person, this deterred me from the healthcare field and is why I pursued engineering but I didn't even finish that. This also makes me think I am a failure and probably can't commit to anything or do well at all. I am scared of killing someone or messing up.
I read that a lot of health professions require me to shadow people, (also why I didnt go this route) and I do not even know how to even do go about shadowing someone I have no connections. I hate asking for help when I am completely clueless. I also feel like I have 10,000x imposter syndrome because I haven't done anything with my life worthwhile. I am thinking about trying to apply for a Radiologic Technology program because the Radiation Therapist program closed until next year August 2025.
If you were my friend, would you encourage me to get into a trade that pays me instead of paying to go to school for another 2 years +1 year wait.
I don't have much experience. Recently I am being considered for a 44k salary job but its nothing I want to do.
