If you are new here, this is a community-driven weekly event, and the purpose is primarily to generate creativity and have fun while doing so (whether you are a 100% real-meat person or not, we don't judge).

Team RWBY, plus Zwei, and Team JNPR play pirates. RWBY, except all songs are written by Sabaton. Atlas makes a space elevator near Vale and Vale is not happy with it. All out war resumes and the use of aerial drones are being used. As a joke, Yang sends pretend Valentines between the most random pairings of people she can think of. She’s shocked when all of them end up together. Team RWBY somehow travels back in time and encounters Team STRQ of the past. When Blake left her family to stay with the White Fang, she became the extremist, not Adam. Ozma agrees with Salem's plans to rule both humanity and the Faunus as the new Gods of Remnant, and has no regrets. After forsaking her mortal inheritance, Weiss is now eligible to be a Queen of the Winter Court of Fae, which is returning to Remnant for the first time since the Brother Gods abandoned it. "'s good as new. Maybe even a little better." "While bullets may wear your name, a hand grenade simply says 'to whom it may concern.'" An Atlas experiment accidentally fuses earth and remnant, hyjinks ensue. Free from Cinder, yet lost without a female figure to commit to, Emerald begins her quest for a new sistemothebestie/lover in Vacuo. The one time Port told a completely realistic and believable story. Yang and Blake discover another bonding point after realizing they both like a certain musician. Instead of Crocea Mors, Jaune has the Moonlight/Darkmoon Greatsword from any From Software Games you choose (boss fight included). Weiss and Ruby host a series of events to determine who has the best big sister. Instead of instilling fear into the hears of the people to make Beacon fall, Watts' hack sparked the Great Meme War!

Important Stuff and Things!

I have managed to rescue /RWBYFanfiction from an untimely demise! If you would like to share your fanfic or make recommendations, head on over there! I know that I've said something special was coming for this, but Ruby on Rails is hard and not cheap to operate. The fanfiction indexer that I was trying to set up just isn't working and probably needs someone with more experience in RoR programming/design. I haven't completely put it to bed, but it might be a while before I can circle back to it. In the meantime, the fanfic sub has actually had a decent amount of postings - head on over and say hi! :)
No matter how bad things may get, words will always have meaning. Now get out there and write something, but most importantly, have fun! :)

I really believe the main reason it ended was the intense backlash and hate campaign. Look at the way Taylor’s entranced right back, singing only to Matty in front of 70,000 people. The awestruck gaze on Matty’s face. All those songs written back and forth, the way Matty was acting at those last shows in early May 2023 with all his little ad libs. Flying 20 hours after a show from Manila to Nashville to be there for her show. How devastated both of them were at their shows right after the breakup, Taylor almost breaking down singing I Don’t Wanna Live Forever. I think I read that Matty was crying during About You at one of the first concerts after and pushed the cameraman away because he didn’t want that on screen. They were both broken right after.
Gabriette and Travis are rebounds. There were a lot benefits to releasing TTPD while with Travis. Please read the original thread too.
I’m not saying Taylor doesn’t have any feelings at all for Travis or that it’s 100% transactional. But there’s a lot of benefits for both of them being together besides love and happiness.
I don’t know enough about Gabriette or Matty to really speak on them. I do know she’s an influencer and model and he’s better known than she is. And the notoriety boost since Matty will forever have an association with Taylor only adds to it. Her name is better known by association and opens more opportunities. Again, this is not me saying they are purely transactional, only pointing out some benefits aside from any feelings or companionship.
With their history, I don’t see how either of them could be 100% over it and fully moved on. I believe they are each other’s great love and as a Taylor fan, a music fan, and a hopeless romantic, I just want a happy ending.

This is a long one, I don’t really expect much people to read it all but I feel a need to share my thoughts.
Official Music Videos or Promotional Videos (PVs)
I think this is the one thing that hurts me the most about Project Diva not being produced anymore…
The Project Diva PVs were really a huge thing for this game, the music videos really helped promoting songs from the game and gained a lot of traction online. There is this YouTube channel named googoo888 with tons of their videos hitting millions of views, sadly their last update was 6 years ago with Ghost Rule due to it being the last PV we ever got from Project Diva Arcade. Many never even found out where these music videos even came from and some even think googoo888 was like the official creator of these and he just stopped making videos.
Project Diva was technically the only source we had for Official Music Videos. Yes, there’s usually an animation that the original creators of songs utilize for their tracks, but, tracks getting a PV in the actual game made it feel official, it really felt like those were the official music video for the tracks since they always featured the same quality, animation style and modules.
Project Diva music videos peaked at the Project Diva F and Project Mirai games, there was storylines, there was incredible modules, there was amazing ideas, it was everything. Most of these got ported to Project Diva Arcade and most recent releases. To this day we haven’t got anything like it.
The disappearance of actual music videos started with Project Diva X, which focuses on stage performances instead of music videos. I actually really enjoy that game and the songs on it are pretty damn great but it was an experiment that for too many didn’t work out. I gotta give the game some props though cause the modules are top tier (literally to me that’s the best modules all characters ever got in years), the stages are actually really cool and some really work for me. “Amazing Dolce”, “Urotander, Underhanded Rangers”, “Ai Dee”, etc. are some of the PVs I feel are really great and actually work pretty well as music videos, there was some pretty good ideas there but it was quite sad these were translated to stages instead of fully produced music videos. The medleys were an incredible idea, all characters had modules for each stage and overall I think the game was fine. These PVs were never ported to the Arcade nor future entries. We never got the modules nor the tracks out of Project Diva X and to me that’s a huge loss. Imagine how famous some of these tracks would become if they were ported to recent entries and got posted by popular PD related YouTube channels.
Project Diva Mega Mix for the Switch came and we got some PVs… but only one new module, and that’s the closest we got from an actual music video, I consider Catch The Wave as the last music video we ever got. Other songs had PVs but no modules which was just so disappointing, songs like Alien Alien have an obvious possible module that could’ve been created but just wasn’t made for the song. Oh, we also got… animations, they added some songs featuring their original animation. I totally respect the original creators of these but seeing animations instead of actual PVs just feels wrong, it’s even sadder when you see the Vocaloid characters on these animations and imagine how their modules on an actual PV could look like, it’s even sadder when you see these modules actually exist but are only used in concerts and also when you realize there’s official choreographies that just never made it to the game either.
Project Diva Mega Mix+ for PC came and there was nothing new added, seems to be doing fine, not much is known about its sales but it has a lot of reviews and it’s always on the Top Sellers section of rhythm games.
I know money is a huge factor and probably the reason why there hasn’t been any more updates in years but as a huge fan of this saga is quite frustrating, especially seeing they keep creating modules and making some stage-like videos for the mobile game Project Sekai… none of these modules have made it out of that game either, maybe no one is interested on those but some are quite pretty honestly. Same goes for A LOT of songs.
Project Diva PVs were a huge factor for Miku to be known and it helped her fame a lot so I wish those came back someday. It may be quite delusional but I feel she could be even bigger today thanks to it.

I just discovered her and I can’t stop listening and watching everything related to her. I've listened to the song All-American b* before, but today I just tried to read the lyrics to her other songs (English is not my native language, so I needed a translation) and when I understood the meaning of many of the other songs, especially breakup songs, and I felt them so much that now I can’t stop. Unfortunately she was already in Toronto a month ago and I couldn’t go to the world tour. But I can’t get rid of the idea of ​​flying to Europe now and attending a concert there. My boyfriend (34M) and I (24F) have been together for 6 months now. He has two kids and they are great kids. Two girls age 7 and 10. He is very supportive of his ex which is ok but she can be very manipulative and make him feel like shit then to come to a realization of her intentions. It upsets him and also me. For instance, Mother’s Day, it was his to have them (Friday to Friday) but she called him up Thursday saying how the girls were crying and didn’t want to go to school and the reason for them crying was he locks the door at night. Ex would like to keep the kids Friday and Saturday. Came to the conclusion that they were crying because the little one was sick Wednesday and stayed home so the next day they both thought that playing sick and crying would get them to stay home. Her motives was to have them on Mother’s Day. Bf and I said the kids can be with her until Sunday afternoon since we have dinner plans with my parents for my mom. Her bf decided to text my boyfriend saying she would love to have the kids for Mother’s Day. Which is understandable but she didn’t have to manipulate and beat around the bush to get her way. It is emotionally draining for me. I don’t know if I can deal with knowing she will always be in our lives. It’s fine if it was minimal contacts but manipulation and all of this bs is a no no. I talked to my boyfriend about how I felt about it seems to be going nowhere. I told him I don’t know if I can do it. Knowing that she will always be there. He assured me that he doesn’t talk to her other than about the kids. I recently found out she is an authorized user on his card to buy the kids school stuff, clothes, and whatever they need. He seems to be financially supporting her in someway. Also we went to the kids spring concert and ofc we said hi to his ex and her boyfriend. My boyfriend handed her a check which I later learned it was half of his tax return. She said she will use it for the kids dental but he said no no, use it for yourself, I’ll take care of the kids dental. I don’t know how I feel about any of this. Help?

• Shavo was on Board for some of Serjs Ideas moving forward for System Of A Down, However, John and Daron were a lot more reluctant, one particular meeting ended up pretty explosive with John pounding his fists on a table and telling off Serj.
• Daron and John have had a tumultuous friendship.
• Daron nearly Backed out of doing Protect The Land/Genocidal Humanoidz due to a misunderstanding from the initial text thread.
• Sick New World 2023 was nearly Serj's Last Show with System.

Is anyone going to the AZ concert? Does anyone know what songs will be played? Any info regarding the vip tickets and merch?

I want to do patches, but the only thing I know for sure is I want a trans flag one (bc I'm a trans man). My whole outfit is colored based on the trans flag because I'm going to her pittsburgh pride show. How else should I decorate it? I know I wanna maybe put song lyrics I like on it, but I don't know how I'd do it. I'm not very crafty/stylish. I am going to be going wayyy out of my comfort zone bc pride - especially at a chappell roan concert - is the best time to be yourself unapologetically.

Hi! I love to go to concerts for artists who I only know one or two songs of and use the concert as a way to learn more about them as artists and people. It's so fun and gives me something to do. I've started going to concerts for artists who I truly know nothing about, which is also fun, so I figured I would ask Reddit for summer concert recs.
I specifically like small venues and ideally am looking for tickets under $70. I primarily go to concerts in NYC (easy access to subway stations is preferred) but I have taken the NJT, LIRR, and metro north for concerts so as long as it is accessible by public transport, I'll consider it an adventure. A couple years ago, Irving Plaza did an unlimited concert pass, and I've been waiting for something like that to come around again.
If you know any indie, folk, pop, or pop-rock artists doing shows this summer, please let me know!

Both the sound managers for Lizzy and the Moda Center at the May 13th concert should be ashamed. Only the folks in the front Gallery could comfortably enjoy the sound. Everywhere else the sound was excessively loud and totally distorted. The sound mgrs. were delinquent in their duty to even care enough to walk the sections after the concert started to check for volume, balance, and clarity. The folks in our section 200 were covering ears and hardly clapping after songs. My wife and I spent $158 for our 2 tickets and $27 for parking. Nevertheless my wife and I left after the 4th song because the sound was so torturously bad. It was the worst SOUNDING concert we have ever attended. Lizzy really needs to address this most important issue with her so called " sound concert managers" so as to not lose any more concert fans such as my wife and myself. Sincerely. Gary Wren Mc Neil

Chamber Music Series: 9B Woodwind Quartet

• The Chamber Music Series of the Romanza Festivale presents the 9B Woodwind Quartet on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at noon.
• All four members have performed in several ensembles, many have taught music in the area, and all seek to preserve and promote woodwind chamber music. Founded by Jeff Ackerman, the 9B Woodwind Quartet offers music from multiple genres and across all eras, from early music to modern pop arrangements and stage numbers.
• Jeff Ackerman plays oboe for the quartet. He is the Fine Arts Department Chair and the band, guitar, and piano instructor for Westside High School in Jacksonville. Lee Sellers had a long career working with student bands in Texas and Florida, most recently in St. Johns County. Lee plays flute in the 9B Quartet and has performed as flutist and piccolist with several ensembles, including the Florida Flute Orchestra, the Trade Winds Quintet, Hollingsworth Winds, and the First Coast Flute Choir in Jacksonville. Multi-instrumentalist Robbie Zukauskas plays bassoon in the quartet and plays in several area ensembles and has performed with several military bands. Lynn Jason plays clarinet with the ensemble and has a music degree and a master's degree in library science. She also plays with several ensembles in Northeast Florida.

• Isabelle Scott, from Northeast Florida, has performed as a harpist through high school and college. She recently earned her master's degree in harp performance from Florida State University. Ms. Scott has performed with the Jacksonville Symphony's Youth Orchestra, the Jacksonville University Orchestra, and as a substitute harpist with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and Coastal Symphony of Georgia.
• The evening's program will feature several works for solo harp and Brahms's Four Part Songs, written for harp, two horns, and women's voices. For the Brahms piece, Ms Scott will be joined by the Women's Ensemble, conducted by Kerry Fradley.
